United Nations: A $240 Per Gallon Gas Tax Is Needed To Fight Climate Change

The United Nations has declared that a $240 per gallon gasoline tax is “needed” to fight climate change. To limit global warming, the UN’s report says that $27,000 per tonne of gasoline will need to be stolen from the public by the year 2100.

For Americans, that’s the same as a $240 per gallon tax on gasoline in the year 2100, should such a recommendation be adopted. In 2030, which is only 12 years away, the report says that the carbon tax would need to be as high as $5,500, and the equivalent to a $49 per gallon gas tax, reported The Daily Caller.

The constant fear mongering and theft of the public in the name of climate change has not dwindled much in the past ten years, and if anything, it has gotten worse. No amount of money will ever be enough to satisfy the ruling class elitists that expect us to just accept that they will continue to steal from us in the name of any agenda they try to scare us about. This is no longer about climate change, but about the desire to steal from those on the very bottom of the economic ladder by those who believe themselves to be superior with authority over everyone.

Hopefully, this is an unlikely scenario, but with more and more humans demanding their own slavery at the hands of other humans, who knows.  This huge tax is, however, what the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s report, released Sunday night, sees as a policy option (normal people see it as egregious theft) in the name of reducing emissions enough to keep projected global warming below 1.5 degrees Celsius, according to The Daily Caller.

The IPCC’s report is meant to solidify political support for the Paris climate accord ahead of a U.N. climate summit scheduled for December. The report calls for societal changes that are “unprecedented in terms of scale” in order to limit future global warming to below 1.5 degrees Celsius, the stretch goal of the Paris accord.

But, according to their own report, there is very little evidence that global warming has caused many types of extreme weather events to increase.  “The IPCC once again reports that there is little basis for claiming that drought, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes have increased, much less increased due to” greenhouse gases, University of Colorado professor Roger Pielke, Jr. tweeted Sunday night pointing out this “inconvenient truth.”  For example, the IPCC’s report noted that “there is only low confidence regarding changes in global tropical cyclone numbers under global warming over the last four decades.”

      1. These unelected scumbagsin the UN are stupid douchebags for their global warming scam never mind the morons who LET THEM PUSH the global warming scam without any blowback.

        • I’d gladly kill them all and sleep like a baby knowing it was necessary.

          • Menzo, I wouldn’t have any problem putting ‘air-conditioning’ in those blue helmets, LOL.

            • We should do to the UN building what they did to WTC-7. Just do it when all the scum foreigners are inside.

              • AMEN…….AMEN……AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      2. I still stand in awe of the realization that one gallon of gas packs enough energy so that I don’t have to push my car 24 miles.

        • Horse’sass

          @ 20% thermal efficiency

      3. By 2100? Who gives a fu…….oops! That’s not it. What I meant to say is gas will prolly be 9 million dollars a gallon by then so what’s another $240?

        • “In 2030, which is only 12 years away, the report says that the carbon tax would need to be as high as $5,500, and the equivalent to a $49 per gallon gas tax.”

      4. Since that would probably result in massive deaths of people in the civilized nations, it would probably work since there wouldn’t be enough people left alive to engage in climate changing activities.

Mad Max on a worldwide basis, the solution to climate change.

      5. Global Warming is liberal hogwash.

      6. Yeah, OK. Like that is feasible. I guess by 2030 everyone in the US will be depending on autonomous cars. I mean at current prices where I’m at that would be $51.53 per gallon.

        • Time to buy a horse.

          • Glad I got me an old Honda Trail 90! That thing gets a bazillion miles per gallon!

            • With all the bullshet in the past week ( Scotus and the Dems) and now this, I’m not sure if its time to pick up the bong or pick up the bong?……

          • Horses eat 50 lb of feed a day and Vets are not cheap. Buy and electric bicycle or motorcycle instead. 🙂

            • BTW, I saw a great video on youtube where a guy rigged his DeWalt drill to a bicycle and used it to rotate the rear wheel.

Uhmmmm that new 20-60 battery gets more useful over time. 🙂

      7. Three million years ago Greenland was free of it’s ice sheet and had been that way for the previous 50 million years. 500 million years ago the world was much warmer and most of the earth was covered in a shallow sea.

        Who caused that climate change?

The earth cycles and recycles itself over the millennia. The only difference between now and then, is that humans are here to observe and record the changes.

The end of the Ice Age 12,000 years ago is still ending. 🙂

        • There have been several I’ve ages. The most recent is called the Kansian Ice age, I believe. I think it supposedly ended 20,000 years age.

        • not to mention CO2 makes plants grow bigger and improves harvest yields. the indoor cannabis growers often add CO2 to the indoor air to improve yields.
further result, plants give off O2, increasing the O2 ratio in the atmosphere, and scientists now believe higher O2 ratios is how and why prehistoric animals could become so huge.
For example the simple respiratory systems of insects limits their size presently, but historically they were huge. Scientists now believe that only possible with a higher O2 ratio in the atmosphere.
The founder of Greenpeace QUIT his own organization over global warming being a hack job and he says as much. True, just google it.

        • 10K years after humans are extinct, a visitor to planet Earth will have to really look to tell we were ever here.

      8. Its called weather!

      9. Leave the U.N.ASAP.

The governments of other countries have become too comfortable using the money of the US citizen while they are permitted to spew whatever they want to into the atmosphere.

Climate change is a fact but trying to control it is a farce…..

NOVEMBER 6, 2018 Elections Approaching..All REPUBLICANS must turn out to vote in droves. Keep the lunacy of the left corralled. MAGA
Vote REPUBLICAN – NO DEMOCRATS AT ALL!!!!!

      10. Rockefeller, Standard Oil mogul, owned the property on which he and his ju globalist syndicate established this United Nations.

In Ukraine (Russia) 7-11 MILLION people were robbed of the grain they themselves grew, and they were shot or cut (even children) if they tried to eat. The area was isolated making it impossible to travel or leave. In this concentration camp prison which occurred way before Germans invaded Poland, way before Hitler sent one ju to a concentration camp, the ju led Communists murdered millions of people. But the ju media keeps this genocide out of the minds of school children and out of books and out of movies.

If the ju wants to starve us all they need is a tax on oil and gas. No trucks, no food, no accountability.

Grow your own. Buy locally. Horse and wagon?

        _

        • I will make some ju’s pull my wagon and starve them!

      11. I think that the 1% can handle this one, let their benevolence shine through like the light of Lucifer whom they worship.

Not one penny to the UN by any US citizen!

        • And how are you going to stop them from stealing your currency? Your masters force you to pay.

      12. Climate Change????

WTH we have climate change around 5 times a year in Illinois. Man makes no difference. When Mother Earth wants to make changes she will and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

You can throw every penny in the world at it and you won’t change a Damn thing.

        Sgt.

        • You are right, you can not fool Mother Nature.

        • Sgt Dale…..tell em, the truth hurts!

        • Sgt Dale…..tell em, the truth hurts!

      13. Doesn’t matter if global warming is real or not. Nothing can be done without collapsing a world economy that absolutely depends on burning more and more fossil fuels YoY to enable growth.

Stop or reverse growth by restricting the use of hydrocarbons and you will get a Mad Max scenario.

EVs and solar and wind to power the grid are net energy losers when compared to lifetime costs with ICE and coal power. It costs more to mine the components and make the EVs PLUS burn coal and natgas for electricity than just to run an ICE vehicle. Solar does not work at night and is not feasible in the winter in most parts of the US. Can’t store enough in batteries for over winter to heat, etc. Fail for grid use. Wind is too intermittent as German customers have found out. They have to have coal power as backup to the wind and the prices have skyrocketed instead of going down. Too much wind turbine maintenance and decommissioning costs. Fail for grid use.

To avoid Mad Max as long as possible the world needs to keep using more coal and more hydrocarbons until they become uneconomical to extract (soon enough).

        • There is an energy technology REVOLUTION developing behind closed doors that will emerge as hydrocarbons dry up and become too expensive to extract. You see it in say, new battery technologies as an example. That is the tip of the iceberg.

Manganese is now a leading contender for future energy storage solutions. Guess who owns shitloads of manganese ???

          🙂 🙂 🙂

        • JRS, true! Wind power is a total pile of shit, never use it for off grid! Solar is best with batteries but ya for grid power you MUST have coal or similar power plants. I am pretty sure there are perpetual motion generators but you and I will never have them. Whatever fooks us the most is what we will have!

          • Seems like solar is good for personal off grid use. Mine is still grid tied but I have the charge controller and batteries for off grid if I need them.

The stoopid environmentalists that block pipelines and call for the end of fossil fuels don’t realize they are cutting their own throat. Solar and wind will never scale for stand alone grid use and in places where it gets more than 20% or so of penetration, it causes havoc on the grid with it’s intermittent power and the need for backup coal or natgas plants to be online all the time to fill in the gaps. This makes the price of electricity go up. You can see this in California, in Germany, and even in China where they have cut back on solar and wind projects when they found out they don’t work well with the grid.

Piper Michael was working on one of them perpetual motion generators on his website a long time ago. Don’t know if he finished it. Maybe I’ll look.

      14. Global Warming / Climate Change, as it is being used by the central banks and their minions (the UN being just one), is just another revenue scheme.

The debt bomb must be really close to exploding.

These fool idiots are desperate for the only real money that is out there: what is left of it in your pocket and mine.

The only way to defuse this debt bomb is to set it off. The only way to do that is World War 3.

        • “The debt bomb must be really close to exploding.”

Yes, in China where the debt to GDP level is about 250% and the economy is tanking FAST. On the other hand, the US debt to gdp ratio is at historical norms at about 110-120%.

          Quite manageable. 🙂

      15. I play with small inventions, intellectual property, bio diesel, etc.

Even without the $240/G tax, most people had no serious concept of independence.

        • I have a neighbor that does the bio-diesel thing with used fryer oil. He has thousands of gallons of it in those 275 gallon totes. The funny thing is when he’s using it, it smells like french fries lol. Hey it works and cost him he said 25 cents a gallon. How can you beat that? The only issue I see is he runs it in a generator which wears out and breaks down. We have pretty cheap propane here so I store a bunch of 100lb. tanks and have a propane generator. Solar and batteries seems to me the best way to be independent. Even if your batteries are old and used up they will provide a buffer to freeze ice packs during the day for night time refrigeration and small battery charging. You just wont have much power at night. Living off grid teaches you tricks to extend your power and super conservation. I have had an off grid place for 22 years and I am pretty much dialed in.

          • National energy security doesn’t require any foreign entanglements.

Besides one person going off grid, a whole country might take that same approach, go off the global grid.

      16. Now you can clearly see how the global warming / climate change “big lie” is pushed. It’s rooted in utter scientific nonsense such as the deranged assertion that “carbon dioxide is a pollutant” that harms the planet. In reality, of course, carbon dioxide is the single most important life-giving nutrient for plants, and as CO2 rises in the atmosphere, rainforests, flowers and food crops flourish. This is irrefutable science to anyone who understands photosynthesis.

        • I am drinking Sam Adams right now! 😀

          • Huh? run outta corn and sugar??? Just messing with you. Made up some apple, lemon drop, and peach last week. Gotta get back into the swing of things as deer season is upon me.

      17. I am tired of hearing about ‘global warming’.

It is not true, and there is all sorts of research to back

        that up.

      18. There is no climate change, its global socialism that the U.N wants, and to get rid of the U.S.A. and its free market example that the rest of the world looks at and scratches their stupid heads.

        • The climate IS changing; has changed because the POLES are moving, have moved. This causes wind and temperature changes; particularly ocean temperatures, which affect weather patterns.

ALL of the planets are warming slightly from increased cosmic energy. It’s all part of the Universal Cycle. 🙂

        • One thing I have learned in all my years is….. People are fucking STUPID!

        • usa economy long been fascist

          that is not free market

nothing more fascist than (((federal reserve)))

          • The door will be open on Passover.

      19. I really love most of your articles. But you really spun the whole thing around to pull oeople in

      20. This is how much various UN officials spent on airline flights in just one year:

Head of UNDP, Achim Steiner (former head of UNEP and an ardent “environmentalist”: US$353, 732
Head of UNEP, Erik Solheim: US$490,000

In fact, the head of the UN’s environment agency spends most of his time flying, spending very few days actually in its African headquarters.

All or most of this travel would have been either first or business class. Can you imagine the air miles these guys get? That means even more flying on top of these “work trips”.

      21. Taxes on fossil fuels will raise enormous sums of money and lead to intense regulation of daily life. The advocates have never said how that money is to be used. They want us to trust them to use it wisely;they don’t want it earmarked for certain improvements like replacing existing nuclear plants with safer plants. Just trust us doesn’t cut it. Even if they earmarked the money for certain needed things, I still don’t trust them. Trust is earned and they sure haven’t done that!

        • I agree with you: trust is earned and I do not trust these people. Whenever I buy an air ticket to travel around Europe I am hit with dozens of “environment” taxes. Nobody has ever explained where that money goes but I suspect it just props up general government services.

I am willing to meet the U.N. senior officials half way: we take the extra gas taxes if they pay more tax for their hookers? How does that sound? Save the planet while banging the underage African teen the U.N. keeps getting caught doing.

      22. If I dont drive, nobody drives.

      23. It is time for the USA to WITHDRAW from the United Nations and THROW the UN OUT of New York !!!

      24. My business competitor’s (fill in the blank) is unsustainable, and will cause an ecological emergency, unless he pays me a $500/unit tax.

        Let’s start with methane emissions.

      25. Stop encouraging unneeded people to multiply.

      26. I’m STILL waiting for ANY ONE of the DIRE predictions of the “climate change/global warming” folks to actually come to pass! So far ZIP, nada, nope, the SILENCE is deafening and yet al gore STILL SPEWS TOTAL SHITE!!
