A truck owner who stopped for a drink in Vancouver, Washington says that his truck was set on fire because he put some pro-Trump stickers on it. “If you say anything that someone doesn’t like, you are ultimately a target,” Johnny MacKay told KOIN-TV of Portland, Oregon.
After having a few drinks at the Garage Bar and Grill, MacKay said he decided to take an Uber home and leave his truck overnight in the parking lot. According to Fox News, MacKay even left his truck under lights to dissuade anyone from attempting to break in. Of course, he never expected his truck to be set on fire because of his pro-Trump stickers.
Randy Sanchagrin, who lives across the street from the bar, noticed the truck was on fire around 2:30 am. “All of a sudden I hear a loud bomb and the windows shake,” Sanchagrin said. He went outside and saw the truck in flames. After that, he sprinted inside, had his sister call 911 and went back outside to see if someone was inside, according to the report by KOIN-TV.
When MacKay returned the next morning to retrieve his truck, he said he found it in ashes. “All of a sudden I saw the tires were melted, the windows were shattered, and I was just in shock,” MacKay said. He also noticed the word “Trump” had been spray painted in white on the side of the truck as some kind of message. MacKay said he has just put the pro-Trump stickers on his truck earlier last weekend. “I literally just put them on this weekend,” MacKay, who did not vote for Trump but supports the Oval Office, told the station. “If I would’ve known somebody would’ve taken politics this far — I saw them, I thought they were funny and apparently somebody didn’t get the joke.”

Just having a pro Trump sticker or two is not evidence of that being the reason it was set on fire.
Since he got too drunk to drive in a bar and left it in the parking lot overnight it is just as likely that he pissed someone off and they, in their own drunkenness, decided to get even when they saw it (yeah, drunks can actually do things like that) or that it was simple vandalism on a highly vulnerable target from being left where it was left.

Yours is a valid point, but you confused the word “evidence” with what I can only assume you meant to say “proof”. There is evidence. This evidence can be used in order to prove, one way or the other, the guilt or innocence of a suspect(s). There certainly could be more evidence. There could be video or witnesses. And, there could be, as you suggested, another explanation for the fire. That’s why there are police investigations and the collection of evidence including talking with potential witnesses before jumping to conclusions.
If this is a politically inspired vandalism/arson or a crime for other reasons or no reason at all, it should be handled as a crime, period.

Justice, in my area most of the Obamanation bumper stickers have disappeared since Trump was elected. You can imagine the outrage if that truck had had any Obama or even Hillary bumper stickers on it. After Obama was first elected, Obama bumper stickers became as common as dirt. When Hillary first started running in 2016 her bumper stickers became a fairly common sight. Nowadays I see one of those only on occasion, very few of them now. We tolerated 8 years of Obama/Hillary bumper stickers and not one of those cars were burned up or even vandalized. That’s only one example of the WORLD OF DIFFERENCE between us and the libturds.
Most times its best to keep shut about your “likes” and “dislikes”, lest they be used against you. If it makes you feel better then dump a round through the person’s brain pan but tell them how you really feel right before you do.
Repr Sleepr, when I’m out in the public, I go the extra mile to be “the gray man”. No stickers of any kind on my vehicle, etc. so I blend in nice and easy. While it reduces the chance of a confrontation with someone it doesn’t eliminate it entirely. If I still get confronted by someone I’ll still do whatever I think is necessary to stop them and I won’t be concerned about any “legal issues”.
Going gray is the way to go. When you plaster those stickers on your car you’re inviting trouble. Save yourself for the hard days and troubles ahead.

Rellik, I wear a camouflage jacket on occasion during the winter months but not all the time. I’m usually in either some plain BDUs or jeans and a polo shirt from spring to fall. I wouldn’t touch a pair of Levis nowadays to save my ass. So I get as gray as a person can get. So far it’s worked like a charm.
I would suggest to anyone who is reliant on the utility of BDUs and other camouflage type clothes to seriously consider instead EMT style pants and jackets for the same durability and utility and also gain the advantage of being less noticeable and notable that camouflage patterns often evoke in people both fear wise and memory wise. Said uniform style pants come in blue black and tan jackets often in Brown black and blue. If you really want to go grey, you don’t want to give any additional visual clues that are memorable that people might remember in the heat of a event. I recommend “urban” camouflage clothes, that are plain jane colors and don’t stand out style wise. Personally I prefer carpenter style pants or multi pocket EMT style pants and shirts from Dickies or Carhartt. For me they last longer are cheaper and readily available through most farm supply stores.

Unfortunately, I have to be concerned with legal issues. I am a registered Architect, and have a net worth of around $3mil. On the other hand, there are numerous federal and state supreme court rulings that say protecting citizens is NOT part of a cop’s job description. They serve GOVERNMENT, NOT THE PUBLIC. They protect the government and help collect revenue for them. That’s their primary duty. They’ve been totally brainwashed against the public and don’t really care about crime. I’m 72 years old now. Back in the mid-60’s I worked second shift at a factory and a guy I worked with bought a brand new Chevelle with the biggest engine available. He raced it at a local drag strip a few times and damaged the engine, and the warranty wouldn’t pay for a new engine, so he had a buddy of his set the car on fire in the factory parking lot while we were at work. His insurance bought him a new car.
