While Silicon Valley seems obsessed by ‘blood boys’, its another part of the world that appears to have gone full Mad Max. As the following clip shows a gang of bikers chase down and attack a truck (with molotov cocktails) to steal its sugar payload

Not quite the “Guzzoline” or “Bullets” that Fury Road offers, but when all you have to eat is flamingoes or black stallions, sugar may be a good substitute worth risking your life over…

With each passing week, the situation in Venezuela keeps on getting worse.

Not quite the socialist utopia that Bernie Sanders longed for? Or more pointedly – this is exactly the dystopia one can expect from such policies of ‘redistribution’ and central planning.

      1. If the truck driver was smart enough , he could have doubled his pay , by just pulling over before all the mayhem and started selling the crap for pennies on the dollar

sure as hell sugar aint worth yer life

        • the REAL question, is why hasn’t the pitchfork crowd jerked their leader out and put him on a light pole to make an example of how NOT to lead a country?….this crowd looks like they could orchestrate that…..why DIDN’T they?

          • “the REAL question, is why hasn’t the pitchfork crowd jerked their leader out and put him on a light pole”

For the same reason we allowed BHO and crew to destroy USA as well as our congress bad acts.

Elite controllers versus the controlled and here in USA the people have not suffered enough to stand up to the criminals we call government! They are closer to that point.

I imagine the sugar was more about an item to sell or trade than nutrition ? desperate people do desperate things.

          • because pitchforks vs guns = failure

        • I am sure this was a staged event. Pre-planned including the truck driver’s participation.

The use of the molotov cocktails was just for show so the truck driver would not get arrested for the hi-jacking.

It was pre-planned, that is why there were SO many people on the motor scooters prepared to take the merchandise.

          • One 40 round mag would save the day.

          • Amen, the whole thing was a set up. Like that scene in Goodfellas. The truck could have floored it and gotten away from those 150 cc motorbikes. Pretty convenient that the whole show was filmed as well. How many robbers film their crimes?

Sugar is a top ingredient of homemade hooch, which is my guess what the crowd wanted it for.

        • I am moving to Venezuela so I can field test my bug out bag. Plus for $5 US I can eat like a king, get a haircut, and lay with a hooker and still have change left for a Coke.

        • Rebel Son, why on earth would these people pay him “pennies on the dollar” when they can simply kill him and take it..?

      2. can’t help but wonder what happened to the tanker truck when they finished with the sugar…

        • The tanker truck was there to put out the fire…..again, a pre-planned event.

          • probably not far off.. or that truck was next

      3. Only thing missing is the little feral kid with the mullet and the badass boomerang. Coming to a country…..everywhere.

      4. Why a tanker truck to carry granulated sugar. Probably gmo infested high fructose corn syrup to spread the obesity and overall sickness just like in America. Or now changed to just corn sugar. When 90% of Americans want gmo labeling and are ignored this tells the sinister objective loud and clear. More sickness boosts big pharma profits. This nation that outlaws natural healing alternatives and states there are no cures but medicines to manage your illness. The entire medical establishment setup is quackery. Death distributed by the biggest business.

        • Alijamo:

Good points on the negative effects of highly processed toxic table sugar. If you purchase sugar, be thinking of your long term health and; at least, go organic.

Stevia in the grocery store is often mixed with artificial sweeteners which are toxic. The words toxic and poison are, more or less, interchangeable. Stevia extract (white powder) or stevia leaf powder (green – doesn’t dissolve) can be purchased as a healthy replacement for sugar.

Honey is the king of sweeteners. Cheap honey can be mixed with high fructose corn syrup. Real honey balls up if you put a drop on a flat surface. High fructose corn syrup spreads out and is runny. Beware of honey in restaurants or little bears. Test it before consuming.

Best of all solutions is to add bee keeping to your list of skills.

Bees like English Lavender. Plant some in your yard away from you doors and windows. Put lavender cachet under your pillow or on your bed stand to improve quality of sleep.

Maple trees make maple syrup. I have not had a maple tree, but in an area where they grow well, I would like to have such a fine large tree. In the mean time, I stock up on real maple sugar.

Sugar is a natural preservative. It is used in the home canning process. The “All American” is the best home canning device. It can also be used to prepare food such as meat stew that cooks quickly in a pressure cooker. Great for families and entertaining large groups.

          • You bring up some good info. Shepard’s Purse makes a good blood clotting agent as well as the weed Plantain (ether broad leaf or narrow leaf. I’ve cut myself many times on things while working and just grab some plantain leaves from the grass and chew them up and place them on the cut. Blood stops quickly (small cuts) and I go on with no ill effects. Shepard’s Purse can stop bad nosebleeds and other bleeds from medium cuts and aid in healing. Making essential oils is not that hard if you can make or fashion a double boiler and use an extra virgin oil for a carrier. God place things here for us to use.

            • Yep our food and medicine is all around us if we simply look for it and learn how to grow it.

          • BCA , some good points. It is all about how we think and then act on it !

        • the sugar was on the first truck.. in bags

          • So the they had a decoy truck? I stock sugar by the buckets full along with regular staples. I like to think that sugar will “shine” in a grid or other-take-your -pick shtf scenario (that we’re reminded of everyday).

        • This maybe so and you do bring up a good point. However when sugar or any other sweetners disappears, it does have an impact of “LOSS” from normal times and people do freak over it. Not counting the fact that the recovery of it could bring in untold fortune by obtaining it.

        • Why a tanker to deliver sugar? Because that is how bulk surgat is delivered. And that includes the United States. I’ve hauled it. Jeeeze!

        • because granulated sugar flows like sand in an hourglass.

          • ok, watched the vid. the tanker has nothing to do with the sugar, which was on a different vehicle.

      5. Sugar is a the poor mans cocaine with regards to appeal and those whom trade for it, which is pretty much 99% of the population.

Remember when our Grand Parents never threw anything out? They would save it in jars and tins. Buttons, nails, screws and even pieces of string, you name it. The 1930’s taught them something that we’ve long forgotten. Even if they had money, the lack of access to the simplest of things was hard.

Perhaps you should pay more attention to certain things before they go out onto the curb? Maybe you have the extra shelf space for a few tins/jars?

Maybe its time to invest in sewing and leather tools? Maybe buying a few extra cheap watches and oddities at yard sales or swap meets is in order?

Think about all the stores closing down and those whom have food, could care less about cash, PMs and more about watches, buttons, candles and hand tools?

Food for thought for future food.

        • Faux, the two worse things anybody can eat regularly is sugar, in various forms and processed oils, like vegetable oil. Both are cancer magnets as well as many other negative outcomes and maladies. Stevia is an easy substitute and olive oil or coconut oil are the only oils I will eat. Simple solutions. I occasionally will eat a burger and fries from fast food, but it is not very often and not a mainstay of my diet. Sometimes I will cook a killer burger and make my own fries baked at home, with a super cold beer ! HA HA HA. So there is no reason to suffer in any way. Just use good judgment and a bit of common sense to be super healthy and fit always ! You do have to get off the couch though and develop your own workout regimen. Besides I like having women around occasionally.

          • There was a movie, called “The stuff”, that I believe mocked the things we eat in real life. The closing punch line of the movie was “Are you eating it, or is it eating you?” Food for thought.

      6. A truck full of sugar. Contaminated with a moderate dose of cyanide. For the folks in the countryside. Remember this idea when the balloon goes up. Have a taste tester available. A politician would work best.

      7. What does any of this have to do with socialism?

      8. “When socialism comes to the Sahara, there will even be a shortage of sand.

        – Polish proverb under communism

And the left is to purposely ignorant, or too evil, to even learn this basic truism.

      9. The Caracas Chapter of HA…they can’t afford the American scooters, but they’re still 1%ers. lol

        • JRS , there are no American scooters , we sent all that to asia many years ago

      10. I’ve read about this but this is the first time that I have seen a video about it. The criminal gangs have the small towns and cities surrounded. Trucks are being stopped and the goods are sold to the citizens of the towns (probably by exchange for something more valuable). The Maduro administration has lost control except in the major cities. This is what I have been reading; can’t verify it. You thing of the small towns as being better but not necessarily. It will probably be everywhere.

      11. WTF, a “Mad Max” event and none of those bikers were wearing those leather stripper outfits?

And I was just shopping for my Mad Max leather outfit on Amazon prime yesterday and spikey pointy stuff to weld to my car for when the SHTF. Make sure you stock up on sun screen too, you wouldn’t want to get a burn on those naughty bits………

      12. All of that is coming to the US before too long. Keep prepping.

      13. I read this story, watched the video, a few days ago. I have wondered what type of transport people would choose when things got tight. It is clear, motorcycles would be a preferred form of transport due to being light, cheap to fuel up, and easy to escape on. This certainly proves that would happen when gangs of motorcycles join up and target slower moving people or vechicles. What a nightmare!

        • Most of your third world countries use mo-peds (or scooters) as their main source of transportation. (Slight upgrade over a bicycle with an engine.) I’m sure most of those scooter were owned before Venz went as far downhill as it has.

But think about it… those chasing it down can’t be TO poor… They are driving a vehicle, putting gas in it, and keeping it running… all costing money. Def not hi-jacking sugar to keep their kids fed… Just thugs doing what thugs do.

        • Truck driver could throw out some caltraps and roofing nails to put holes in the motorcycle tires. And also have someone ride shotgun like they did back in the stage coach days. As one is driving the other is shooting. Bump fire a 100 round magazine drum full of 5.56 Greentips.

          • “Bump fire a 100 round magazine drum full of 5.56 Greentips.”

sure, if you’re a hillbilly with no gun skills and enjoy jams and a complete lack of accuracy, bump firing and drum mags are the way to go…

      14. Get a good bicycle . Tubes ,patches, pumps , run flat inserts? A rear seat cargo hauler and tie a hand truck to it. Move 20 gallon water barrel ? Fast?

      15. well they DID voted for socialism over and over…they got what they wanted…
