gold-bars-2Did you know that the number of gold bars being purchased by ultra-wealthy individuals has increased by 243 percent so far this year?  If stocks are just going to keep soaring, why are they doing this?  On Thursday, the Dow Jones industrial average and the S&P 500 both closed at record highs once again.  It is a party that never seems to end, and there are a lot of really happy people on Wall Street these days.  But those that are discerning realize that we witnessed the exact same kind of bubble behavior during the dotcom boom and during the run up to the last financial crash in 2007.  The irrational exuberance that we are witnessing right now cannot go on forever.  And the bigger that this bubble gets, the more painful that it is going to be when it finally bursts.  Those that get out at the peaks of the market are the ones that usually end up making lots of money.  Those that ride stocks all the way up and all the way down are the ones that usually end up getting totally wiped out.

To get an idea of how irrational the markets have become, all one has to do is to look at Twitter.

Would you value “a horribly mismanaged company” that is less than 10 years old and that has never made a yearly profit at 31 billion dollars?

Well, that is precisely how much the financial markets say that Twitter is worth at this moment.

Even though Twitter will probably never be much more popular than it is right now, it continues to bleed money profusely.  On a GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) basis, Twitter lost an astounding 145 million dollars during the second quarter of 2014…

Twitter’s GAAP net loss totaled $145 million, up from $42 million a year ago. On a GAAP basis, Twitter lost $0.24 per share. Investors, however, were not expecting Twitter to be profitable by GAAP measurements, so the loss isn’t too much of a drag.

Why would anyone want to invest in such a money pit?

Here are some more disturbing financial numbers about Twitter from David Stockman

Currently, Twitter (TWTR) is valued at $31 billion. That’s 18X revenue, but the catch is that the revenue in question is it’s lifetime bookings over the 18 quarters since Q1 2010.

When it comes to profits, the numbers are not nearly so promising!  For the LTM period ending in June, TWTR booked $974 million of revenue and $1.7 billion of operating expense. That why “NM” shows up in its LTM ratio of enterprise value to EBITDA. It turns out that its EBITDA was -$704 million. In fact, its R&D expense alone was 83% of revenues.

Of course the truth is that Twitter should be able to make money.

And it probably would be making money if it was being managed better.

The following is what Silicon Valley venture capitalist Peter Thiel said about Twitter on CNBC the other day…

“It’s a horribly mismanaged company — probably a lot of pot-smoking going on there.”

But because Twitter is a “hot tech stock” investors are literally throwing money at it.

And there are many other tech companies that have similar stories.  Off the top of my head, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Yelp and Pinterest come to mind.

Fueled by the quantitative easing policies of the Federal Reserve, U.S. stocks have enjoyed an unprecedented joy ride.

However, as David Stockman recently told Yahoo Finance, the subsequent crash is likely to be enormously painful…

“I think what the Fed is doing is so unprecedented, what is happening in the markets is so unnatural,” he said. “This is dangerous, combustible stuff, and I don’t know when the explosion occurs – when the collapse suddenly is upon us – but when it happens, people will be happy that they got out of the way if they did.”

The behavior that we are observing in the stock market simply does not reflect what is happening in the economy overall whatsoever.

In many ways, U.S. economic fundamentals just continue to get even worse.  Small business ownership in the United States is at an all-time low, the labor force participation rate is the lowest that it has been in 36 years, and the U.S. national debt has grown by more than a trillion dollars over the past 12 months.

But on Wall Street right now, there is very little fear that the party is going to end any time soon.

The following is how Seth Klarman recently described the market complacency that he is seeing at the moment…

To put it a bit differently, writer and investor John Mauldin is right when he says that there is “a bubble in complacency.” Fear has effectively been banished. The members of the Fed know it. Stock traders who chase the market to new highs almost daily know it. Implied volatilities (and realized volatilities) are historically low (the VIX Index recently hit a seven-year low), and falling. The Bank for International Settlements recently cautioned that financial markets are euphoric and in the grip of an aggressive search for yield. The S&P has gone over 1,000 days without a 10% decline, according to Birinyi Associates. Dutch and French 10-year government bond yields are at 500 and 250 year lows, respectively; Spain, 225 years. Spanish debt yields were recently inside of U.S. levels.

But as Klarman also observed, just because “investors have been seduced into feeling good” does not mean that this current bubble is any different from what we witnessed back in 2007…

It’s not hard to reach the conclusion that so many investors feel good not because things are good but because investors have been seduced into feeling good—otherwise known as “the wealth effect.” We really are far along in re-creating the markets of 2007, which felt great but were deeply unstable when shocks started to pile up. Even Janet Yellen sees “pockets of increasing risk-taking” in the markets, yet she has made clear that she won’t raise rates to fight incipient bubbles. For all of our sakes, we really wish she would.

Meanwhile, the ultra-wealthy are making moves to protect themselves from the inevitable chaos that is coming.

For example, the Telegraph recently reported that sales of gold bars to wealthy customers are up 243 percent so far in 2014…

The super-rich are looking to protect their wealth through buying record numbers of “Italian job” style gold bars, according to bullion experts.

The number of 12.5kg gold bars being bought by wealthy customers has increased 243 percent so far this year, when compared to the same period last year, said Rob Halliday-Stein founder of BullionByPost.

“These gold bars are usually stored in the vaults of central banks and are the same ones you see in the film ‘The Italian Job’,” added David Cousins, bullion executive from London based ATS Bullion.

Do they know something that we don’t?

The ultra-wealthy are able to stay ultra-wealthy for a reason.

They are usually a step or two ahead of most of the rest of us.

And any rational person should be able to see that this financial bubble is going to end very, very badly.

      1. Bubbles are ALWAYS biggest right before they burst.

And what a burst this ‘ill be.

        • Time to head for the hills!

          • The quickest way to make it burst is for the talking heads to predict “DOW at 30,000 by Christmas”.

            • We could end this “soaring.”

All we have to do is buy some stock—near certain the market would crash then 🙂

              • My investment advisor is Porky Pig and he is saying

            • “Stocks Are More Crash-Prone Than Ever,” Fleckenstein Slams “Fed’s Idiot Policies”

When asked, “when the market declines, how fast will it all be taken away from you?”

Fleckenstein warned “I don’t think we will get through October without some accident,”

adding that “the stock market is more crash-prone than ever.” When pressed again about sitting on the sidelines, Fleckenstein rebukes, “if you want to pursue idiots like the Fed doing crazy policies, and if you think you can get out in time, go for it. I don’t want to try to do that.”

            • Isn’t October the infamous month that the stock market crashes….. tick, tick, tick……

              • YES!

                • The rigging & manipulation has now gotten insanely stupid

WHERE is the SEC & CFTC ????

                  • Da Yooper says:

“WHERE is the SEC & CFTC ????”

LOL… In the pocket of the Bankers!!!

Do you seriously believe government bureaucracies police the Establishment and the status quo?

        • I will invest in MILFs.

      2. Buy lead and brass instead….. it will ultimately come to that and then you can have your gold and silver too…..

        • @Stan522:

not “instead”, but “too”. Having the gold and silver are VERY important, but you want the “base” metals too.
Reloading is a pastime now. Hopefully, those reading here are doing some.

          • The Dillon 550’s were whirring and spinning this past weekend.

            • PO,seems someone does not like your reloading equipment, perhaps thumbed down due to jealousy?!I do not personally have the stuff, have friends that do and access to it though different brand.I would say that kind of stuff unless just given as a gift ect. is like boots/camping gear/firearms/cars ect.in that everyone has personal favorites.

              • WD, just one of my faithful fans, LOL.

        • Stan 522
          I hear you!
Just picked up another 320 rounds of 7.62x54R. check the rest and I’ve got damn near 5000+ for the other 10 calibers/Gauges I have.
Only thing I’m a little short on is 7.62X25 only have 2000 of them. I’ll be getting more.
I’ll let the wife pick up the Silver, and Food.
          Sgt.

        • Stan, understand the silver(werewolves/vampires and all)but the gold?Sure, suppose could melt down and make bullets with it but for what?

        • Of course you might starve during hyperinflation. Or you might have to eat all your preps before the collapse. I have enough gold and silver to buy food for a year regardless of what happens to prices. You should too. And yes, I have guns and ammo, food and water, etc., etc.

        • just more bs from the gold and solver bugs

its all BS and it will go lower just give it time

and while waiting just look for usable property

          skip the PMs

      3. It’s still too soon to buy metals as an investment as china and europe are still playing the print more game, even though the usa is about to get out; but that said; you could buy here and a year from now; you’d be making a good profit; federal govts dont have another year to play this game before a serious correction happens and metals skyrocket.

if youre buying as a SHTF plan hedge, loading up now is looking really good with russia and the middle east.

        • It’s still too soon… sure. However, when you want it, there won’t be any. Follow in the footsteps of giants, and this is saying that giants are buying. There might be lower to go, but to get metals in volume at that paper price point won’t be possible.

The paper price must go to $0, as that is the intrinsic value of paper gold. Who do you think will be selling physical at $0?

You have to ditch the “trader” mentality when it comes to physical gold. You don’t have to be in at the bottom, you just have to be on the train… With money not needed in the medium term future to live off of.

Example, was at the LCS the yesterday poking around after the FOMC meeting. Some guy called in wanting 35k in silver. I bet, people on this board have 35k somewhere… Well, just like this guy couldn’t get his ordered filled on the spot(6 weeks out), imagine what thats like when the line of 35k buyers is around the block at all of the bullion shops. Then imagine the traffic at online dealers. When people want it… aka the bottom, it’s too late-

          • Oh… and then imagine central banks globally all start wanting it at the same time… oh wait! They all do! Except ours of course…

How’s Germany’s repatriation going? About 10% so far. And they “own” that useless relic already.

            • Giving some other country your gold for “safekeeping” is as smart as asking some guy to get in bed with your woman to “keep her warm”. Predictable results in both cases.

          • You are better off being a year early than a day late when the crash comes. Hedge accordingly. As for me, some lead and steel/brass, silver, food/water and absolutely no debt. When the collapse comes, I’ll have a long way to fall before it hits me.

          • come on folks don’t fall for this fear porn its all a scam and most of you know it.

and really folks 35 k in silver ?? THINK how heavy that will be who is gong to haul it for you ?? by the end of OVOMITS term it will be down to maybe $8 or $9 an oz

contrary to what the so called experts tell us there is NO shortage of gold or silver. most of us know the same pieces of gold and silver have been sold and re sold over and over again

and the prices will go much lower If and its a big If the bubble does burst you sure as hell don’t want to be holding a very expensive bag.
and that goes double for these fear mongers that post these crap stories.

any one remember the 80s and the two brothers who tried to corner the silver market ? you had stores and car dealerships paying outlandish prices for old coins and giving folks 10 and 20 times the face value as down payments on new cars. in one case there was a furniture store that advertised what they would pay for old silver and you could get a new front room set for $ 75.00 to $100.00 in silver coins. because they were paying 10 times face or a new bed for 25 or 30 silver dollars.

the only winners were the folks who used Crap coins they had for years. and in the end it ALL fell flat and turned out to be faked from the start. and because the stores and car dealers felt ” It could only go higher !!!” they held on to all that silver and ended up losing there shirts ( and more )

thats what this will all turn out to be a large scam
if you really want to prepare then start learning the old skills.

where i live we have coin stores and coin collectors putting FEES on every purchase because they bought them last year and failed to get rid of them and are now trying to recoup some of there lost money.

unless OBUMMER pulls some Bs and tries for a third term he will go away and History almost always shows that the country will vote in a republican and All this will just be worthless effort

every one who bought expensive freeze dried food and Guns and ammo will be dumping it on Craigslist
and you will have folks out there buying it up and prepping for the next man made mess.

as i said above if your really serious about getting prepped then start learning the old skills.
such as metal work farming ( even on a small scale )
figuring out how to actually survive with out all the fancy store bought crap from some tv survivalist
STOP buying Pre made GMO food and figure out how to actually grow your own. learn how to find wood and learn how to use it to heat your home or shelter

a couple hours in your own garden will make you feel 100% better about your self and you will lose weight

i see so many FAKE preppers Fat Dull senses Heavy smokers most of them and they rely on store bought preps.

these folks don’t stand a snow balls chance in ANY situation.

and most of them are what i call Key Board Preppers any way all talk.

there are not enough true prepping stories on here its mostly ads for PMs and other crap so lets get with it people and make this a true prepper web site.

            skittle shittin unicorn

        • You should have had all of the PMs you need long, long ago. That said, the price should drop some more, but that is NOT why you buy PM’s and that is why you should have had them long, long ago.

Buy food now. Famine is coming to America. 🙁

          • I agree that famine could very well be in our future with extreme drought conditions in most of California.

            • Two weeks ago I was in Laughlin Nevada and today I was in Lake Havasu Az. The Colorado river didn’t look anywheres near low at all and flowing clean. Havasu was well up on the shoreline water marks. Didn’t look much like a drought there to me.

              • Ummm… I live in Nevada. The Colorado River does not even reach the sea. At All.

                Flowing clean?

Did you drive thru Colorado and stop at one of those… cafes?

Record droughts throughout Nevada and worse in California. Record wildfires in California too. That doesn’t hurt my feelings but the smoke is terrible as they burn.

                • No, my wife and i had lunch overlooking the river in the back of the Colorado Bell. Whats the point about the colorado reaching the sea? And it looked pretty clean to me, Id swam in it but thats just me. I guess some people need a pool. I live in the high desert, i might know a little about the droughts.

                • Spoke to a customer’s son from San Jose who was in town visiting his folks. I questioned him about the drought. He told me they are bulldozing almond groves daily and selling the wood. Cattle ranches are getting down to the bare bone stock numbers to alleviate dying of thirst and paying for feed because of zero graze. He said, ” Its the worst he could ever imagine”. He also stated that even with a ban on watering lawns, some homeowners are doing it anyway and paying the hefty fines. He said it’s a very bleak scenario.

                  • Best get set for higher milk prices as well cause California is a large dairy producer. Goes for produce as well.

                  • It is not good here in Calif. I stocked up some time back on Milk (I freeze it), pork, meat, avocados, almonds while it was cheaper.

                    We need rain. Badly.

            • Mr. Rodster.
I’m still learning about growing my own food in California. Crops that I’ve been successful in are big water users. Tomatoes , zucchini , and others in the squash family. What would you suggest growing that uses little water to grow. I’ve tried corn, but no success. Is the “Farmers Almanac” of any value? Thank you.

              • Mike, for low water crops would first learn about edibles in your area that grow naturally in arid climates as they are proven and if you have to hit the road and know about em perhaps a road snack, after that, look into crops on net with low water needs that seem reasonable for your clime in your area, keeping in mind some take a long time to grow,a lot of info.(@ moment)on the net, happy gardening.

              • Talk to your local/county cooperative extension people. They are there to help you and they are good.

            • Famine is in America’s future because the dollar is dying. We’ll see bread at $10 a loaf. We’ll see it at $100 a loaf unless the stores close first.

              • hmmmm, I bet you would make a killing selling cat meet.

          • the durango kidd says:

LOL… Have you been drinking this afternoon DK??

            LOL… That’s one dandy of a post!

The only thing missing is the slurring of the words.

            • YMWW: Is that the best you got??? I don’t smoke, drink, or use drugs. I don’t need them.

I got mine. Get yours. 🙂

              • Durango,I still smoke, grew out of some substances/put down bottle but it hits the fan all bets off.As you don’t smoke/drink//do drugs can I have yours for preps of a more mental nature, waste not/want not!

                • I tend to think that Mary Jane will be legalized before the crash. That way, they can reduce the number of people rioting as many of the poor will be too stoned to care. Heck, I’d much rather they legalized that and brought back prohibition. Alcohol makes people irrational and mean!

                  • Winston, want it all legalized, end the drug/gang/police/court/prison cartels and the violence due to profits, keep dui ect. as then endangering others, besides that, none of mine or any one elses business what you do.

                  • Oh, I don’t touch the stuff. I just know from experience how people behave on both and I see stoners as less of a threat. My job takes me to a variety of different homes and so I get to see it all- including some things I would rather not have seen!

              • The durango kidd says:

“I don’t smoke, drink, or use drugs. I don’t need them.”

Well then… I’ll chalk that post up to dementia!

“That said, the price should drop some more, but that is NOT why you buy PM’s and that is why you should have had them long, long ago.”

LOL. What sort of thought process went into that statement? Let me see…

… That will be; but that is not why; but you should have in the long run.

LOL. If you weren’t drunk, or otherwise “high,” the only explanation could be: Your cheese is sliding off it’s cracker!

I think you should plead “drunk” DK!

          • My Sun Chokes are 20 feet tall.

I prefer potatoes but they are very hardy and nutritious.

Got a small Goji berry, (Wolf Berry) going too!

            Lots of antioxidants.

            • Oh and asparagus has taken root, grown from seed! Hard to do. Lasts for decades. Yum.

          • durango kidd

for the most part i agree but Even food is not the end all solution.

what is will be learning all kinds of skills think folks !!!! think about the schools and what they teach children they teach them NOTHING !!!

when was the last time some child learned how to cook or sew or make things now its all frozen garbage and liquid crap food its empty calories
and liquid food designed to make life easier
but does it really ?? or does it just make you MORE reliant on some one else?

schools no longer teach home ec or any of the true skills needed in these days
can most of you sew ?? i cant but am trying to learn and can at least make repairs

i can garden and know the difference between a weed and a baby plant and can grow food to feed my self and family.

most of you will think i am joking but you better learn some serious skills or pay a heavy price if and when all hell breaks loose.

        • Lena it will always be to soon to buy PM’s, until the moment it’s to late. Like 22 shells, when the time is right there won’t be any for the likes of us. You either get yours to early or don’t bother.

          • It has officially been just over 1 year since I was able to get my hands on a reasonably priced brick of .22.

The last one’s that I bought were $27.99.

I’m saving my stash…It will serve me well.

            • I got a bunch of 22’s back when they were cheep! I got 35,000 or more stashed away for a rainy day. Get stuff now while you can, or you won’t be able to get it.

              • 35K — 22 caliber rounds? So you are the one that bought them all…

Well no affordable 22’s around here for years now. I can’t even target shoot cause I am down to a brick or so. Refuse to pay over $25.00 / brick for crap and $30.00 for shoot-able ammo. Oh well, all I can do is let that economy collapse in that market.

When the world ends you can be like Daryl in Walking Dead, and eat squirrels. Yummm! Beans and rice don’t sound so bad now…

                Good Evening.

                • See this guy couldnt see the trees for the forest either…I have 30000 22’s also…most say $8/brick…been buying extra for years…putting them in sealed ammo cans…won’t run out because I didnt wait till it was too late…guys were paying $80/ brick…when they ran out…
What do you think people will have to pay for gold and silver in same scenario as 22’s saw????
The year early over a day late has been my credo since I was 12 yrs old and I’m 50 now…
also never buy food…or…anything not on sale…always buy 2 more than you need on sale and youll never buy off sale

                  • 26,000 rounds of 22’s here

Still able to buy it almost weekly around here(NH).

                • Pretty soon we are all going to be like Daryl ,
Interesting note and story of the day , you all here know I work for FEDGOV ( and it’s not fun)
Recently we had a regime change at the division where I work and not for the better , nothing like being told by the new supervisory Personel director ( who is an asshole) that We really don’t know shit even though most of us have worked in this profession for years. ( it’s amazing how a 20 something non us born people who are on the government payroll know everything) It t seems I do not fit the new multinational corporate private partnership / government ideal employee skill set profile and I have to be reeducated in the new behavoir required to keep my position. ( I knew that pesky Life Membership in the NRA , my former military service and a brief stint in local law enforcement would come back to haunt me.) I apparently have been identified as an inside threat due to my association with the republican party ( I am more pro liberty that that) and the organizations above , also have a firearms ID card in a liberal state also makes me a potential terrorist ( and I cannot display the US flag patch terrorist symbol on my uniform it might upset the foreign born LaRaza colleagues . )
I have been notified that my performance is under review ( apprarently my recent commendations and military service awards no longer count) a decision will be made if I match the qualities needed to continue my employment. maybe I can complain to Eric my people Holder to intervene on my behalf?
No shit this is happening to everyone in DHS it’s straight out of Orwell , all this happening just yesterday . I think the bastards are weeding out those with consenses for the dirty deeds that will be done in the near future.
Today is Friday the traditional day that people are let go , i am not very optimistic about the future.

In the end it’s about the individual verses the Collectivists.
Soon we are all going to have to choose sides .

DON’T LOOSE YOU WONT LIKE IT

                  Semper Fi 8541

                  • Sorry to hear that NB. Though I bet you had a feeling it might come to it. Your an outsider and no longer trustworthy due to your past and present associations. It is a sign of the times. I wish you well going forward. POP.

                  • Nightbreaker:

Thanks for being a “stand-up” American patriot.

On some Friday you might be let go, at sometime in the not so distant future you might suffer the same “cleansing’ as the Bolsheviks did in Russia. Their version of being “let go” was, if you were LUCKY, a shot to the head. If you were not so lucky your death was to horrible to describe.

Coming to America, soon, if the Commie’s controlling our country can manage to keep the sheep asleep until the day “they turn their DOGS” loose.

The leaders of the Communist movement that overthrew the government of Russia were imported from New York and financed by Goldman Sachs bank. The illegals coming through our borders just might be the “brown shirt” army used by O’commie to hunt patriots.

It is worth patriots time to understand the terrible butchering that took place in Russia in 1918. If the revolutionaries in control of our government ever get our guns, we are done…….

                  • Quick, Night Breaker… log on to the DHS encrypted site and download all the sensitive info. Post it on here the day after you get canned. It’s the patriotic thing to do ya know…

            • Last four weeks I have been able to buy a brick each week. Don’t need them and have donated them to others.

              • Paranoid, you buying for friends/family and not one of the scalpers, good for you!I hope they appreciate you being there at right time/place though do see more on a daily basis, willing to deal with net can get plenty reasonably priced.

            • bone dry here in SWFL ,ive only bought it about 3 times in the last 2 years ,the last was about a month ago i got 3 50rd boxes at rural kings for $375 a box ,they have it at some of the pawn shops for about 20-30 cents a rnd. call me pig headed but 10 cents a round is where i draw the line ,even then thats hard to stomach for the cheapy stuff ,and of course you can get all you want on gunbroker if you have an extra arm and leg

            • Stock up on high capacity magazines. Lots and lots and keep them filled and ready to go in a shoulder satchel. When SHTF you will not have time to be screwing around trying to reload a magazine. Then also have stripper clip ammo just in case. Strategicly place boxes of ammo around your compound house etc. So if you need to move there will be extra ammo waiting for you there. Buy sand bags and a pile of sand and a wheel barrel to move them. That is your best ballistic defense when the SHTF Hords of hungry druggy zombies hit the road looking for the weak to exploit.

      4. My prepping is still continuing. Everyone get everything you need ASAP before the prices really get out of hand, especially food. Things just might become “interesting” either right before or right after the midterm elections.

        • Never stop prepping.

Preppering: -v -the art and skill of prepping.

It shall never end, and those left behind will carry on because we provided for them in a way that they could never see.

Some people only just right now took the red pill.

          • I took the red and blue pill!

            • Careful with those blue pills.
They can cause “stiffness and swelling”.
              Just sayin’…

      5. Looks like as we talk about Mountain House food, very few families making billions and laughing at the peasants struggling day to day.

        • This is why lotto winners are usually broke in less than 2 years.

      6. America is about to snap. Stay alert folks.

      7. Can’t eat gold and the average guy can’t afford it anyway. Brass and lead are more affordable. Put it into staples like food, medicine, fuel, water etc. Might try getting junk silver, easier to get and easier to trade or buy with.

        • For those of us that don’t have tons of extorted peasant money to throw around, the better idea is to “buy gold small, buy silver large”. Bullets are good, but how much do you think you’ll actually go through? Depending on your circumstances, more PMs might be better than more ammo.

          • Buy bullets. With bullets you can take anybody’s gold, silver women and preps. Sure go out there after SHTF with your bag of gold and silver and see if you come home alive. Get real folks. Stop living in fantasy land thinking there will be normal commerce post SHTF. Its going to be pillage plunder and terror. Stick your PMs up your A $$.

            • And those bullets can be used on any jackass that wants to take your gold, silver women and preps! But I am not sure I would need any silver women, unless I can trade them for hoes to use in my garden!!

            • “Buy bullets. With bullets you can take anybody’s gold, silver women and preps.” –WhoWuddaThunkIt–

Ah yes….this is coming from the guy who thinks religion is the real source of evil in the world.

A real good display of your morality there WWTI…..or lack thereof rather.

Guys like you are part of the problem. And why this world is going to be such a hell when it finally hits the fan.

Of course….we’ll be stacking guys like you like cord-wood.

              • Walt and Vincent. I just said that to scare the crap out of ya. You think those Gang Bangers care about you when SHTF? Cause what I said, is what they are saying right now down in their Hoods, as they are preparing to come after you and us. Cause right about now they are getting plenty tire of eating Rat Tar Tar.. And just waiting to spring into action.
                Just saying…..

        • Totally agree with your take on gold. I’m a “you ain’t taking it with you kind of guy” and when we get to that point of gold hitting the stratosphere the world will be one chaotic mess. I couldn’t tell you a piece of fake gold from real gold, the same goes for silver. I’ve read even some bullion experts have gotten screwed as well.

Food, water and ammo should be TOP priority.

          • Of course. Preps first. PM’s second. It’s easy to buy authentic gold and silver. Stay with Canadian Maple Leaf gold coins, 1 oz Canadian Maple Leaf silver coins, and American junk silver coins. Don’t buy bars. They’re too easily counterfeited.

        • Years of advise distilled into 4 sentences. Nicely done Jim.

        • “Can’t eat gold ”

Well golly, who said you could. I’m laughing at you.

        • I already have a year’s worth of food and water. I have guns and ammo, ways to cook my food and heat my home.

I have most of my savings in gold (1/10 ounce coins) and silver (1 oz coins and junk silver). If I had more cash I’d buy more PM’s. I already have enough of everything else.

      8. Sometimes I think the sheeple have it right– watch TV, smile, believe everything is OK, stick your head in the sand and be optimistic.”

When I go to research stuff on the Internet, its pretty scarey sometimes! Makes me want to run to the top of some mountain and hide under a rock! (I have no money to buy a place in the mountains, or I would!)

Now, at Drudge Report, they are saying around 2,600 people have died from Ebola, 700 people affected this past week, and the government has ordered around 6 million people to stay in their homes for the next 3 days, as workers go around checking homes for potential victims… some citizens are reacting violently, throwing rocks, etc. at the officials… pretty scarey!

And then there is WW3 on the horizon as well… whatever!

        • If society collapses due to a financial collapse or EMP or CME. There will be plenty of houses and buildings to move into if you survive pass 2-3 months.

When economic activity ceases. The population will match the food production.

Congress already did a study and the numbers are 90% die off in a year. Most of that will happen in the first few months.

Plan in advance. Scope out bank owned real estate. Once the collapse hits. Banks will no longer exist. And no one will show up at your doorstep asking why you are in their house.

          • Actually Sierra Dave I was planning to take over the banksters homes. Just don’t know what to do with banksters. Ohhh I know….

            • I was planning on burning them to the ground

              • We have got to get coordinated, we seem to be our own worst enemy> Anonymous moves into the banksters home, and then along comes Kula and burns Anons new house to the ground. This is the reason they are Banksters, and we are just Peons. Trekker Out.

                • >We have got to get coordinated

Exactly, MTrekker, this is what I wrote yesterday in another post here in SHTFplan:

When some disrupting social event should happen, the storm would wipe off any personal defense and individual or familiar preparedness strategy. This is because the conditions in a larger system would affect the smaller structures contained therein. This fact is historically determined, and scientifically grounded in marxist science; for example, the French revolutionaries were crushed by the reaction, and the bourgeoisie was successful and seized the power only when the economic and geopolitical context in the larger European scene were ready for the change. This explains why the isolationist ideology, shifted on the psychology of the individual in the typically American self-made man and specifically in the prepper figure, has no chance of success, unfortunately. There is no other solution that the social organization of the working class in revolutionary popular structures of collective defense and strictly hierarchical parties.
I absolutely love and admire the industriousness and fantastic determination of american people, and I think that the next big steps in social progress will come after the struggles that will be fighted in your country. I lean myself toward anarchist positions. I only fear that these necessary civil struggles will be uselessly prolonged and slowed by a lack in social coordination among individuals. The economic and social contradictions are global today, and the answer must to be united and global, at the working class level. If you are alone, you will have success in defend your family, at best, but your task must to be set higher, if you want to go at the root of the problem, because the problem lies in the capitalistic production system and in the imperialistic geopolitical order, and these systems are a matter of social relationships. OK, prepare for yourself, but in a scenery of social coordination. Look at the list provided by KYmom:

19 Steps Toward a Self Sufficient Lifestyle:

                  1. Build up an emergency food supply
                  2. Learn to cook without electricity or gas
                  3. Know how to build and start a fire
                  4. Install an alternate fuel source
                  5. Grow a vegetable garden
                  6. Start a compost pile
                  7. Grow fruit trees and berries
                  8. Learn to preserve your bounty
                  9. Take a first aid course and create a well-stocked first aid kit
                  10. Take charge of your health
                  11. Acquire warm clothing and blankets to keep you warm without heat
                  12. Learn how to use weapons to hunt and for personal projection
                  13. Start an emergency fund
                  14. Learn to barter
                  15. Make your own cleaning supplies
                  16. Cook from scratch and bake your own bread
                  17. Be a MacGyver and fix your stuff
                  18. Become self-entertaining (Learn card games, board games, puzzles, play an instrument, etc.)
                  19. Get to know your neighbors

Well, IMHO the real must is the 19th point she put as the last. I think that in its history, the immensely powerful US working class was swindled by the ruling class, because only if people was divided there could be a possibility in subjugate its revolutionary potential.

                  • those friends & neighbors will very quickly turn on you. there will be petty bickerings power struggles ect. put twelve folks together in a jury box and they fight. let someone die who has any tangible assett,s and the family fights. all clubs groups get into disagreements. add the stress of SHTF and those you trust will kill you. I know my neighbors. im not friends with them. And it might be that they are my worst threat. I left things out and watched to see who trespassed & stole from me. ive made my list.

                  • Good post, your point is the same as many of the folks who write about these issues we face, building groups and slowly but surely expanding out and allying and working with other groups to form more of a cohesive unit for resistance, survival and eventually thriving as a civilization. In my opinion the biggest monkey wrench in that equation will be people and groups with ill will. While i and my friends and neighbors may have the best intentions and spirit that may not be the same for others. So therein lies a problem, even the government, IF they had a brain they would realize what a huge resource it is to have an armed aware and fairly independent and self sufficient citizenry, this is the group who built the USA of yesteryear, but it seems they want subjects and servants rather than citizens. Interesting times we live in.

                  • Oldguy and Kulafarmer, your point can be addressed by strict organization: write down a democratically shared set of rules, build a hierarchical organization, based upon “democratic centralism” (the leaders are choosen democratically among the best in their field), then every one breaks the rules is instantly kicked off. It works like a charm, I have experience about this. If the organization is totally devoid of economic exploitation of men over other men, there is no reason at all to betray your friends, because there is a common task to conquer. Men evolved during an age of primitive communism, and lasted millions of years. Now the matter is combine that social structure with the technologic advances of our times.

                • it wasn’t anons or serria daves new house. they didn’t build it. they didn’t buy it. they don’t have deed to it. it may be ok for them to try & steal that home if they can defend & protect it. however I don’t want any no good squatting thieves in my region. When there is no rule of law the most ruthless meanest who are willing to do whatever is necessary makes their own law.

                  • democracy sucks. Democracy is mob rule. Democracy is two wolves & a sheep voting on who to eat for supper. orsobubu,s proposal is nothing more than communism. No thank you if im meaner stronger craftier ect. ill certainly have more than the next guy. Im not about to endorse anything Democratically shared. That’s howthe USA got messed up in the first place. How about this rule themaking productive keep what they produce and the oxygen thief taking parasites receive nothing. that’s my rule.

                  • Oldguy, I perfectly agree with you about democracy, in every single word. So, why I’m proposing democratic elections? because you’re talking about a different democratic system, the one that is the standard way, in our historical age, to manage the capitalistic production system during peaceful periods (when the situation turns toward global crisis instead, capitalists substitute democracy with fascist governments). Every superstucture, such politics, justice, moral, etc, relies upon the economic structure (Marx), so a democratic government inside a capitalistic structure reflects the needs of the capitalistic interests; since the mess in the world today is exactly due to the structural capitalistic incapacity to manage (in the interest of a few) the enormous potential of the productivity of the popular masses, the derived political forms of government, democratic or fascist, are absolutely inadequate and even deadly for the well being of the working classes.

To the contrary, I refer to democracy as an internal way of managing the coordination for revolutionary popular organizations on the territory, instead of isolate and disperse individually the preppers. These organizations are political superstructures totally independent from the productive structure (because obviously people have not yet the command of the production), so inside them there isn’t any exploitation of man work, no one stole anything, no one enrich himself at other’s expenses. In this situation, the better form of collaboration is to establish democratically among the members very precise goals, theories, methods, rules, hierarchies and practical actions. I want to be very clear about the fact that these revolutionary popular structures should be totally legal, exactly following Marx’ idea; instead, when a real world crisis will arrive, the bourgeois states will be the first ones to turn to illegal methods, then to fascist dictatorships.

About communism, you’re right, but remember that I am an anarchist myself, but I have not the illusion that anarchy can defeat capitalism. You can study the history i.e. of the first international and you’ll agree with me: only a phase of communistic production can make the transition to anarchism. Look for example at the experience of Bakunin in Italy, when italian anarchists learned in blood their lesson. Then take a look at Lenin in Russia, and see the difference.

Finally, please don’t believe that the society can make a backward move to an ancient, middle-aged way of production; the masses wouldn’t understand you, if you preach the return to some forms of self-production. We can no more live without the fantastic technologic progress we see today, we only need to seize the power to plan the future for ourselves, to appropriate all the products we make, to free ourselves from the slavery of the wage work, to realize an entirely robotic/automated society, without banks, market, money, crisis, wars; only communism can do it.

                  • I don’t think it is stealing if no one owns it anymore. Banks as legal entities will cease to exist in some TEOTWAWKI situations. Those so called deeds will most likely burn up when the cities burn.

Leave unoccupied houses and they will be used to attack you or not so good people will squat in them. Fill em with allies.

Without Rule of Law. There is still good and evil behaviour. Your stuff is still your stuff. And I am not touching it. Nor will I harm decent people. Some advocate shooting complete strangers who might trespass. I will not. Even though it might open me and my people up to risk.

Post collapse, there will be decent people who didn’t prep that you might add to your group/community.

                • MT, I wasn’t planning to move in into the banksters home btw. Just to take it over and then help Kula….However your point is well taken and I agree.

                  • Anon, actually I was trying to be humorous. It just seemed so funny that you were moving into the banksters home and Kula was going to come along and burn it. Trekker Out.

          • Possession will be the law when this happens…if you can back it up.

Just remember, it will be you or them.

Frankly, I won’t be fucking with anyone. What I have to survive is what I am supposed to have.

I just want to be left alone.

“don’t go down without one helluva fight” and in the words of Arnaud Amalric from the 12th century…”kill them all and let God recognize his own.”

            • My wish is to be left alone too but if wishes were horses……I’d probably end up putting its backstrap on the grill.

            • You named the real point. If you can back it up? If the goal is to survive we will need to judge others. In my judgement anyone who tries to squat in a dwelling that they didn’t build or purchase is lacking. I simply am not willing to take a chance on them. Im not willing for them to remain & be a potential danger too or competition for anything me & mine might need. So even if its considered morally wrong by others ill not leave anything that could shelter aid and abette that potential competition. Ill not be destroying it for my own use but to keep it from falling in enemy hands. If others don’t approve that is Ok. Im the kind of guy that would destroy the water stations the do gooders leave out in the desert for the illegals.

          • I don’t think there will be plenty of houses & buildings. If society collapses most of the buildings will be destroyed. fire, floods vandals ect. Only those who can adapt to a nomadic type lifestyle will make it. Ive already decided ill likely burn my own place before it all over. If I try and keep it & defend it it would always be a targret. It could possibly be a burden that would likely more bother than its worth. if your in a rural area the competition for game & other food will become great. If there are no buildings for others to shelter in where your are at there wont be as much competition. simply put I don’t want squatters infringing on my territory. Ill burn & destroy everything that might possibly shelter any potential competition or enemy. Gengis Kahn and Sherman knew the value of a scorched earth policy.

            • So. You call me a thief for taking property that belongs to no one. Yet you would willing burn other peoples property…

As to Nomadic lifestyle. Good luck with that. In all my readings. I don’t think you can scavenge enough calories to live off the land in this day and age. 150 years ago? Yes. Today, no.

          • “Congress already did a study and the numbers are 90% die off in a year. Most of that will happen in the first few months.”

I’m thinking at that point, a person would want to get into the rural areas (if not already there)……just to avoid the stench of decaying bodies.

        • 2,600 people have died from Ebola, 700 people affected

You mean, like… 2,600 people in the whole entire world?

There’s like 7 BILLION people in the world. That’s something in the neighborhood of 0.00000037% of the population.

More people die from leukemia, asthma, tetanus, syphilis, anemia, hepatitis A, B and C (combined!!!), diarrhea, malaria and fucking measles!

          Combined!!

2,600 people died from ebola? Really?

          WGAF!!!

          Sheesh.

          • BH you wrote:

“More people die from leukemia, asthma, tetanus, syphilis, anemia, hepatitis A, B and C (combined!!!), diarrhea, malaria and fucking measles!
            Combined!! ”

Please keep in mind that all of these other sources are not increasing at an exponential rate. The scary thing about Ebola is not the number but the rate of increase.

Most people did not pay attention during their 6th grade math class when exponents were taught. If they did, we would not be in the situation we are today.

Not venting toward you specifically but our collective failure to understand growth rates, whether it is energy consumption, national debt, or spreading diseases, is a fundamental flaw leading to disaster.

2,600 deaths is not a lot, but it is twice what it was a month ago. If it spreads at a rate doubling every month, well that is just un-thinkable.

I did a small thought experiment recently. It supposed that you inherited $1 million, deposited in a bank. I the first day you spent a dollar, and doubled that every day thereafter, how long would you be able to keep spending? 6 months, a year, 2 years? I mean $1Million is a lot of money. The fact is that by day 20 you would have exceeded the money and be in the hole.

Exponents don’t seem like much, but their consequences will be. If Ebola cases continue to double every month, mathematically we will all be infected or dead in 21 months

            EJ

            • @ej
I agree, it is not being taught to the degree of understanding that we need. it is an oversight that has lead the nation, and individuals into a ever increasing debt crisis.
I could give you one penny today, and double it every day for a month, or give you a million dollars, which would you choose?
most people don’t think about these things, and in the end, end up paying for it. a 30 year mortgage will enslave you for triple if not more than what you originally borrowed no matter the rate. don’t forget the insurance factor that you have to pay, the fees, the taxes along the way.. it all adds up to = fools
to a certain degree the PTB are pushing all this credit crap by not being able to do anything without it.
can’t even rent a car without a credit card. cash will not do.
I personally don’t know how people are making it nowadays. even with a decent income, the outflow outweighs the in flow. gas on average is $50 a week, roof over your head is $200 a week, food is $100 a week
not to mention electricity, gas, water, car payment, taxes, now medical insurance… and so on. let alone save for the future, it just isn’t happening.
the deeper we dig, the harder it is to get out, and most never will.
I myself don’t have to deal with this crap, but most do, and how they do it is beyond me.
the short list I gave is just about $500 a week for people to come clean, most don’t make it. even 20 bucks an hour is $800 a week, before taxes, and deductions, which will leave you in limbo. that used to be damn good money, and I’m not that old (about 40)
I’ve learned to pay for everything with cash. if I don’t have the money, I wait until I do, to take out a loan is as foolish as anything I can think of.
              good luck all.
prepper tip of the day: buy seeds that you think you don’t need.

              • Yes, Al Bartlett said that the biggest failing of people was not understanding the exponential function.

As far as taxes go, I was figuring out how much I have paid in “rent” for my house since I bought it. Turns out, in another 3 years I will have paid more in property taxes for my house than I originally paid for it. This is what makes me mad and drives me to drink…

I’m sick of paying for teachers and cop’s pensions and Cadillac health bennies while my pension was stripped and my Obamacare type health coverage now has a $6000 deductible. The .gov and their enforcer minions are the worst type of welfare there is.

          • @Billy Hill…..

What you have to consider here is the exponential function in this epidemic.

Yes….2600 people sounds like an insignificant number “now”.

But when you extrapolate the RATE of infection is when it gets interesting….and terrifying.

Let’s say the rate of infection doubles unchecked every 3 months….

In another 3 months that would be 5200 people. (still not worrisome) In another 3 months…you are up to 10,400…another 3 months, 20,800…and so on.

At the end of two years….you have over 5.3 million.

That’s with a rate doubling every 3 months. If the rate at which it doubles is LESS than that…..well…then…it’s much worse.

This is the nature of epidemics…..or pandemics. In 1918, the Spanish flu killed some 50 million world wide. That was with a mortality rate of less than 20%. This particular strain of Ebola has a mortality rate of over 50%.

According to what “THEY” are telling us…..Ebola is not even airborne…..yet. If it goes airborne, the rate of infection could increase significantly.

            Do the math.

            • YOU do the math.

The CDC just said the WORST CASE would be 500,000 infections world wide.

              bloomberg dot com/news/2014-09-19/ebola-worst-case-scenario-has-more-than-500-000-cases.html

More people are dying from measles than that.

              • I think the CDC is under reporting to try to keep people from freaking out….

            • I recently read a report from a well known DR, he said in his 40 years of practicing medicine he has never been so scared by any thing like he is to this Ebola threat, he said viruses that are going rampant like the one in Africa are known to change “evolve or replicate” all the time, and he fears this one is going to do become airborne, and he said if it does, it will go around the world, and as many as 250 million people in the US alone could die from it. We are all looking at the market crash to come, for prepping, and maybe we should be adding supplies and staples to hunker down for a 6 month period. Desperate people will go out to find food, but smart people will hunker down and stay in.

        • Ignorance is bliss, indeed.

        • The best move right now is to sell off everything you got that does not help in your survival. You and many others may have to abandon your home and flee like a refugee into the countryside just to stay alive. So all those BS luxury items you collected over the years may be instantly worthless or be burned and looted post SHTF. Get down to a bugout bag and your battle rifle, and bury and cache survival tool and food outsude your home.

          • who wudda you correct that’s something we should do. however im attached to lots of stuff I really don’t need. things like my 55 chevy. its much easier said than done.

            • OG, I am also very attached to my 55. Actually all of the 10K 55 grain.

          • As I sit here and read y’all all talking about bugging out where in the hells green earth would most people go? I’m a female 63years old husband 67 and both with health problems there’s no place to run too sure can’t live in the woods winter coming on, easy for some rich person to say that but not normal everday people. We live in a rural area about 60 miles from a larger town.just have to watch and wait!

        • Meanwhile, Obutthumper has sent 3K soldiers to Africa to insure that Ebola comes to USA as the soldiers rotate home. If you have kids in pubic schools, keep in mind that the offspring of these soldiers sits next to your kid.

          • not next to my kid!, unless they are at my house being schooled

          • Nope. My children are all educated at home. I can and will cut off every single outside contact, easily.

        • I feel the same way you do, Anonymous.

Following links to articles posted here at SHTF will help people know what is in store for us, And it is scary, to say the least. I, too, sometimes think I would rather be a sheep, but in the final analysis THEIR SHEARING is going to be dreadful; wonder if they will ever come to realize what has hit them?

I get my comfort and GREAT info from biblestudysite dot com. Not the usual “hell and brimstone” bs but actual information about the who, what, when, and why that I was always searching for. One of the best link gifts I ever received.

Chin up, HE says HIS WILL, not Satans, will be done when all the countings done.

          • Anonymous

This was a reply to your post about being scared and sometimes wishing you could be braindead as rhe sheeple.

Don’t know how it posted clear down here…..

      9. “potential victims”… ha! got that right!

        • Are you nuts? Marburg virus has been weaponized. 120 variances of Ebola, none of them weaponized? Porous border not a delivery mechanism. A group which does a Belsan School Massacre would not get a jihadist to inject himself, and just go to Disney World. The 120,000 Biological Hazard Suits means nothing either.

      10. Two retired ladies were on the beach in Miami. They were discussing the fact that if they go for a swim, someone might steal their cigarettes, but if they take the cigarettes with them, they will get soaked. Then they notice a gorgeous girl walking out of the ocean. She reaches into the top of her swimsuit, pulls out a perfectly dry cigarette and book of matches and lights up. The ladies go up to the girl and ask, “How do you keep your cigarettes dry?” Her answer, “I put them inside of a condom.” The women rush to a pharmacy and ask for a condom. When the pharmacist asks, “What size?” one of the ladies says, “It should fit a Camel.”

        • ba dum tis!

        • Guy goes to the doctor to get an exam ,doc says ,well you got cancer ,and you have advanced stages of alheimer dieses ,the man says ,Whew ! thank god i dont have cancer

          • Officer -“We arrested this man beating the living daylights out of some poor slob for no reason at all! What should we charge him with?”
            Sergeant – “Impersonating an Officer.”

        • The Home Depot Cc breach is exacly why I stress to NEVER NEVER use your DEBIT CARD to make purchases. The hackers coukd wipe out your entire bank balance of YOUR MONEY. Always use cash or credit cards for all purchases. If your CC gets hscked they steal MC and Visas money and not yours. Most all debit cards are tied to your checking acct. If that is hacked you could bounce checks and rack up a pile if $35 NSF fees. Your bank has no responsibility to refund you for a Debit card Breach.. Pass this info on to everyone you know. Stay smart and safe and avoid being a victim.

      11. Keep smacking the price of AU and AG down, crony leftist bankers, and transferring it to the Far East. One day the price, as Jim Rickards says, will go up OVERNIGHT by thousands. Gold is the only financial asset that is not at the same time someone else’s liability – and in this CORRUPT, cronies, socialist hell, there’s something to be said for that. For those of you that don’t have a position in either AU or AG (AU is gold, BTW) go out and get some “junk” (pre-1965 silver coins). The corrupt banksters may suppress the price even more, but you really should take this as a buying oppty; even if the do drive the price down, if Dr. Lawrence Kotlikoff of Boston U (former Treasury official under Reagan) is right, and there are actually $222 freaking TRILLION in total unfunded liablities, there are ONLY three ways this can be paid for: inflation, raising taxes, or cutting services. Clearly they will do all three, but probably – IMHO – try to do the stealth inflation thing, which, as Keynes said, was a tax only one man in a thousand was smart enough to recognize. Junk silver has very low markup, universal recognition, and is affordable.

        • .999 is the poor man’s cash. The fact that hundreds of thousands of us have a physical store now… makes it real. A true store of value with people of like mind.

As soon as everyone stops believing in the dollar and feel the weight of one ounce bullion in their hand, money becomes a tangible substance of value.

But markets are real. Everything goes to hell – silver is awesome.

Everything doesn’t go to hell? Silver is still a store of wealth, and awesome.

History does indeed repeat itself, because we refuse to learn. Not all of us, but collectively we are pretty average. Heading to below average. This is why the dollar loses value. Kids do not want to work today.

          /rant

        • Gold is going back to $400 an Oz and silver to $4.00 an Oz.

There is no intrinsic value in PMs no utilitary feature than a heavy anchor that weighs you down.

Read the great Tulip Bulb story centuries when they bid that up sohigh the ladt man got crushed. I dumped all my silver at $42 in march of 2012. Almost at the $48 peak. Buy AMMO which has utilitarian value. Get real people stop buying into the PM Scam Propaganda Hype. You are being fleeced.

          • Thanks I’ll hold that thought………

            • Silver is consumed in industry. Are you saying supply and demand don’t apply here?

          • WWTI:

If all would go “well” with the PTB Banksters scam, “they” will send goons for your gold and silver.

1918 Russia is a blueprint for America, the revolutionary scum took ALL valuables from the people. If they ever get our guns, they will also take all your gold and silver.

There was a recent vote in the Senate to allow gun confiscation through the UN. Check on the internet to see how your crooked Senator voted. It narrowly got voted down.

The New World Order will be set up through the United Nations and the new money will be regulated there. With only one vote, think America will get her fair share? It will be payback time for all the “poor” nations of the world to truly take America’s fair share. We will be relegated, finally, to their peasant status, if all goes as planned.

It would behoove all of us to keep an eye on what our politicians (bought and paid for scum) are handing over to the UN.

          • “..no intrinsic value in PMs…”???

Silver and platinum have numerous industrial uses. Gold has use as a conductor and as an anti-rheumatoid medicinal. Cost makes gold’s industrial and medical use infinitesimal, but it is incorrect to say “no” intrinsic value.

          • Gold and silver are real money. Once the price suppression ends their prices in fiat money will go vertical. The dollar is dying. We’re going to see hyperinflation. You’ll understand when a gallon of gas is $20 and three 1964 silver dimes are worth enough to buy that gallon of gas.

            • I like to invest in cat food.

          • Gold/Silver…..are NOT tulip bulbs.

Other than the ONE occasion when tulip bulbs were a coveted commodity there has been no other recorded incidence when their intrinsic value was anything above what tulip bulbs should be. They had value for their intended purpose.

Gold/Silver on the other hand….have ALWAYS been considered an intrinsically valuable commodity…..especially in unstable times.

When TSHTF, there may be a short period of time when PM’s will be far less desirable than commodities that are necessary for survival. But I assure you…..once the smoke clears, people will need an easily recognized means of transacting business that does not involve transporting ALL of their possessions in the back of a trailer…or in a backpack. Historically….when the smoke clears….PM’s are the most commonly recognized and coveted commodities for trade.

      12. Any predictions on the top dollar price for gold and silver in the future???

        • Eppe those predictions would be useless. The issue is: How much is a loaf of bread in Dollars or gold? It is unlikely that gold will go up more than2-3 times its value, but the dollar is likely to drop by far more. Gold is unlikely to trade for anything, at those times, people will hoard it trying to get some value in to the new order, whatever that means,
Sometime after TSHTF I expect a silver dime to buy 2-10 loaves of bread, about what it did in Colonial times. Read Ben Franklin’s Autobio.

          • Agreed, ‘noid.

Comparing USD to PMs is only relevant if all you’re holding is USD (cash). I think the bottom line will be ANYTHING you can hold, besides dollars, will be worth many times more in terms of dollars when it goes south, but will stay relative to the value of one commodity in trade for another (think trading toilet paper for bullets or some such thing).

I buy commodities for holding power, not to get rich off inflation (like planning to trade it for dollars at some future date, I’d rather trade my worthless dollars for something with worth. Anything with worth.).

I’m “getting rich” making dollars at work and expect that to continue as long as there is broad, international economy.

If SHTF and the economy goes local (or underground) I’ll be able to survive for a short while as we try to make corrections in trading skills for (insert currency here), but the last thing I want to do is hold my wealth in $USD.

          • No, gold will hit a billion dollars an ounce as the dollar dies. Everyone I read says gold will keep pace with hyperinflation. I haven’t read a single investment guy or economist who thinks otherwise.

        • I only said dollars for a basis point, but both of you are right, ammo will probably be traded like dollars, but who really knows??? Slow night at the plan, Selco posted a new one today, check it out…

        • I’ll bite.

          Within 3 years:

          Silver ~$100.00 per ounce.

          Gold ~$800.00 per ounce.

And don’t talk to me about the market. This market is barter based. We can discuss the economics if you wish.

          • I’ll take that bet!

            • I look at metals now as a inflation hedge, whatever it buys today, say 3 loaves of bread, will buy me still 3 loaves in hyperinflation,I see the metals as retaining a level buying power and perhaps long down the road a jump start perhaps on rebuild.

          • Silver is trading at about 1/67 of the gold price. The traditional ratio is 1/12 to 1/16. I expect the silver price to reflect the traditional gold price in the future. I could see gold at $5000 and silver at $300 or more.

        • GLD $400 AG $4.00

        • Much higher. Just don’t know when. I hear some people say that prices will go up 500% when price suppression ends. Once price suppression ends the dollar will die. There will be panic buying of gold and silver.

          • “There will be panic buying of gold and silver.”

YES…and that is when you should sell them and buy real assets like land, oil wells, etc. etc. They will never be worth more than at that time.

But good luck on timing that out.

            • I have a little Silver. If it goes high enough. I might buy an acre locally.

        • Yeah eppe I have a prediction on the price. It will always be just out of my reach! Trekker Out.

      13. Where the hell am I going to put all those gold bars. I’ve already got the trunk of the Rolls packed. I’m using them as ballast in the yacht., and the servants closets are full. I hate to rent one of those gosh storage units but what’s a billionair to do.

        • Gotta build a vault like Scrooge McDuck!

          • Basstard, will be more then happy to bury some on me property for you, hell, will even drive by in van and pickup!

      14. Once again the stupid sheeple let a golden opportunity slip through their grasp. The Scots had the chance for a bloodless revolution put into their laps on a silver platter, alls they were to do was check “yes”.

DID ANYONE NOTICE THE CHATTER COMING FROM THE SCOTCH FINANCIAL SECTOR??? THEY SAY “THE SCOTTISH ECONOMY WOULD TAKE A PLUNGE AT LEAST INITIALLY AS A CENTRAL BANK IS ESTABLISHED IN SCOTLAND.” AS IF ITS A FUCKING GIVEN THAT WE ALL NEED A CENTRAL BANK. THAT SHIT IS THE FIRST FUCKING THING THE “AUTHORITIES” THINK TO SAY. YOU STUPID, STUPID FUCKING WORTHLESS OLD PEOPLE. YOU FUCKING CUNTS.

Its like a hospital patient attached to the machines, they don’t want to risk getting off the system even as their muscles atrophy.

I’m embarrassed to recall my great grandfather a highlander. What a bunch of effeminate, low-T cowards.

        BRAVEHEART MY FUCKING SCROTUM

        • Good rant…don’t be surprised when Americans do the same thing.

The blood will be knee deep in the USA.

        • Harsh.

I think it is safe to say you DESPISE the Baby Boomers.

It’s ok, let it all out. They were your parents too. AT 35 your are just now coming around.

          • Anybody over 65 yrs old screwed the younger folks. They set up this entire ponsi scheme to enrich their pensions SS benefits Medicare elderly tax benefits, etc and the rest of us younger people got left holding the bill and pile of debt.

            • Boy im glad im only 63. wouldn’t want you mad at me for screwing you over.

            • @WhoWuddaThunkIt…

Then you should run the world while you think you still know everything.

Of course…this whole mess was started years before any of the baby-boomers were actually born. But you just go on blaming them. Your ignorance and stupidity is amusing.

It would be great if you’d actually do a little research on the matter so you would actually know what you are talking about. I could post some links…but I’m not going to do your homework for you (I doubt you ever did it when you were in school either).

              But Google is your friend.

Spend a little more time studying and learning, and you’ll spend less time exposing your ignorance.

(This goes for you too Eisencrap)

              • TRUE BUT IT WAS ON YOUR WATCH THAT IT REACHED THE INFLECTION POINT, FATASS. YOU BOOMER FUCKERS ARE THE MOST SPOILED, SELFISH DICKMONGERS EVER.

                • Acid

I am a gen xer. If you look at history then you will realize that this all started around 1930. Then you had many other factors. World War 2 where most men fought over seas and all the ladies went to work. Society changed a great deal at that time. The people of this country are to blame for this and this has been a pattern throughout history.

One thought you should give to this is that if someone is on this site. They had nothing to do with it. In fact I would suspect most if not all on this site fought against what you are complaining about. Your comments would be way more appropriate on a liberal blog. Don’t complain at those who tried to fight this. They will also be by your side when fighting and surviving when the balloon goes up. They will also be a valuable source of wisdom if they are older. They know how to do a lot of stuff that the younger generation has no clue about. The younger generation will also be amazed at the hard work it will require. My worry is most of the younger generation is not used to manual labor. They have no interest in it. They don’t even understand it. The older generation will be a huge asset when the shit does hit the fan.

Some things you should consider I think.

                  Hope this causes some thought.

        • AE theres a name for it, I can’t think of right off hand. You know where a captive starts to relate to their captor. When you’ve been enslaved for so long it’s a fearful thing to have to step out on your own. It’s a phenomenon that all of the parasites in this country have in regards to the government. And thats what the Feds count on. One other thing, your Clan must have been the black sheep of the family. Our Clan used a little different language than yours. Some men die for freedom, others won’t take it when its free. Trekker Out. I Too Was Disappointed But Not Surprised!

          • It’s called Stockholm syndrome colloquially called battered wife syndrome.
In regard to not in regards to.
            90% opposed the revolutionary war.
            Cowards then, cowards now.

          • I to feel sad about Scotland vote,if truly the will of the voters and not screwed with on the count guess it tis their choice, hell, they don’t like the outcome can do it again.

            • Warchild Dammit:

I saw somewhere where 17 year olds were allowed to vote in Scotland.

If they have been schooled like American kids…….

              • As if you old cunts aren’t responsible for this endless welfare and warfare. SS was created as a handout for you lazy boomer bitches. The first thing womyn did when given the right to vote is prohibition and an anti masterbation crusade. Can I have my foreskin back? You whores are just mad cause you cant reach the big O. At least you old whores are good at cooking. BWAHAHAHAHA dominate dem hos.

                • Mr. Acid it appears no one taught you to respect your elders. Something tells me you may get everything you want and deserve.

            • This is why it usually takes some kind of drastic event for people to actually get motivated enough to bring about radical change.

They prefer to go with the devil they know, rather than the uncertainty of the devil they don’t.

Even the founders of this country were reluctant to break away from Britain. They were very ambivalent about it. It took years and years for them to finally come to the point of revolt. And as has been mentioned, even then, MOST of the population did not participate…..they just went along with whatever happened. This is not unusual….it’s just human nature.

There had been years of isolated events in this country that led up to the revolution. But it took Lexington and Concord to finally provide the catalyst to set it off. That battle caused Britain to react…which further inflamed the colonies. If you will recall….The battle at Lexington and Concord occurred in April 1775. The Declaration of Independence did not come along until July 1776. THAT was the formal break from Britain.

          • I believe you are referring to “Stockholm Syndrome”.

          • Stockholm syndrome

            • Reads like an echo in here.

      15. Problem is that the banks really do not have the gold on hand it is on loan to bullion banks who sold it all on the market. It is all illusion and smoke and mirrors. It is why the Fed cant give Germany its gold back it does not have the physical gold. It only has paper IOUs Only buy metals that you can get in your hand. Others are just ghosts that are paper lies

        • @Rockman. You are 100% Correct wise man. The US Government has no Gold left in any vault in America and has leased or papered over multiple times any residual. That’s why they are getting into every and any war to hide their bankruptcy and default status. Our Government is a fraud and sold out the American people. Did you see the House voted in favor to Audit the Fed? The MSM is not reporting on that fact. Check it out. That will shed light in the US default. Bang goes the bubble.

          • WWTI:

Does that bill go on to the Senate.

If so, old, and I mean old sellout senile Harry Reed, will never let it see the light of day.

          • The gold was given to the private banking cartel called the Federal Reserve and it’s owners, the “primary dealer” banks in the 30s when America was bankrupted by the same bankers through the crashing of the stock market and the subsequent depression. This was the arrangement set up by the bankers to bail out a bankrupt country. That is why the gold was called in…or else.

The people’s gold has been gone since. Most people should know this. There is most likely no gold in Fort Knox and if there was it would belong to the Fed and primary dealer shareholders.

And what would an audit of the Federal Reserve prove?

Oh yeah, that they’ve been doing what they were designed to do all along…make debt slaves out of YOU…

      16. When TSHTF there will not be any Government or for that matter of fact anyone else having soup lines this go around. If you don’t have it you will not get it period. Put as much in your hands as you can possibly put. It’s your choice of what that may be; water, food, p.m.’s, ammo, etc. it’s up to you no one can do it for you. With the way thing are shaping up good old Fred Flintstone is going to look like Bill Gates, why life in the U.S.A. has been too good and easy for way too long. The vast majority can’t even read or write any more just text. Friends look around for yourselves can you see the tombstones in people’s eyes, truly walking dead. In 3 months 75% of the 90% will be gone, the last 15% may make to 6 months but I think not. It’s been said before get out of the cities, get to your BOL now or you will not make. If you plan to make your stand at your present location like I will, prepare your defenses and good luck to you. Remember your best defense is a good offense. As they approach take it to them before they get close. You are on your own; do not forget that ever. There will be No Government, no law and order, there will be no taxes, and there will be no car, any house or rent payments, because after one year 90% will be dead, hell after 3 months like I said 75% of the 90% are gone. No Government parasites will still be around. Again remember WHAT YOU HAVE WILL BE WHAT YOU WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH. After 30 days Hunger Games will look like a Sunday Picnic at the Park. Good Luck My Friends!

River Rat at the ready!!! NOMI///MOLON LABE!!!
        TSORIITA/GPTDY!!

        • Read 299 Days (Glenn Tate) The Collapse, I think his scenario is the most realistic.

          • Living on the Fault ,
Glen Tate has it right this will be the most likely scenario it would do you well to read the series and reflect on the scenario presented. I give US about 2 months total before we start seeing signs of the slow collapse we are in now accelerating by then I most likely will not be employed by DHS anymore see comments by me above things are rapidly spinning out of control at FEDGOV they are loosing it big time , do not be supprised if we do not get to the elections .
Pay particular attention to your surroundings and be alert as Selco said when you can see things happening with your own eyes and the MSM says Everthing is fine it’s getting close.
When everyone is going in one direction move fast in the opposite .

Interesting times , survive it , rebuild after it , teach our children not to make the same mistakes.

            RESIST NO MATTER WHAT

            Semper Fi 8541

            • I feel it true ’bout what you say and as Selco says, it’ll happen basically overnight. The music will continue to play and those unaware will continue to dance as the water laps at their feet.

            • Glenn Tate has a government job in real life. I believe he has an inside perspective at how the government is operating and a very realistic view of the coming collapse. Many of his predictions have already come true. Not sure about the ending though. I believe there are far more takers and leaches than anyone is willing to admit. These sheeple will believe you owe them until the very end and I don’t think there is anything that will cause them to change this view. Therefor if you stop the handouts they will be opening the takeouts from your house.

            • “when you can see things happening with your own eyes and the MSM says Everthing is fine it’s getting close.”

This is already happening. You may be correct on your time frame.

          • With a 90% die off who do think will be around to prop up the price of Gold or Silver?? Dumb is as dumb does. Get real people. You want to make a sound investment? Stock up on Coffee beans and a grinder. People will kill for their coffee.

          • Glen Tates fiction is way off base, the electricity wont stay on. the government wont survive in the cities ect. The fact is that the rural places & farms could survive without the citys. The citys cant survive without the farms. When it goes down it wont just be the USA. the whole world will go down. The entire planet will look like Gengis Kahn & the mongul horde had passed over it. As soon as there is any failure it will trigger the have not parasite gimmie free shit army to go on a rampage to loot steal & kill. They will demand their fair share. That will lead to race wars & ethnic cleansing. every government employee will be a target for retaliation. Be realistic its going to be horrible.

        • River rat is pretty close. Im convinced Even here many folks don’t fully realize what it will be like. There will be no authority no respect for the life liberty or freedoms of anyone. The service to self individuals will simply steam roll over the mamby pamby do gooder service to other types. Gold was worthless to the native americans. Just who are you gonna trade your Pm,s to? It wont be a reset. It will never again in our lifetimes become a society where you can trade PM,s for anything of value. it will be a massive die off. Any group will quickly revert to animals. just like the folks did during Katrina. The strong will prey upon the weak. You wont just be able to come & occupy a empty dwelling. someone will notice you and kill you for whatever they hope you might have. food will be the top priority. I figure Me & mine will need all the game & edibles in about ten square miles. Like the Osage Indians who used to claim this region as their poperty. We will not allow anyone to encroach. You folks don’t realize just how vicious the type of folks who end up surviving will become. If you are not a killer you & yours wont make it. If you don’t have Know How and Self Reliance you wont make it. Where I live has about 14 people per square mile. If 90% die that leave,s only 3 people in two square mles. So our clan will have no problem laying claim to ten square miles. Does Serria Dave or anyone think he will be welcome to come here & squat? And that folks will be how it is anyplace there are natural resources & food.

      17. We talked about this before. I believe the stock market is going to crashing down. Like a little stick house when Godzilla steps on it.
Good time top buy gold and silver.
        A.S.M.S.
        Sgt.

        • Fat fingers. To buy Gold and Silver.
          Sgt.

          • Agreed, great time to buy. Silver will never be worth less than $20.00 per ounce, ever. I always buy below $20.00 – hold at $20.00, and if I need to reinvest somewhere else, sell at $25.00. Supply and demand make the market. People’s needs.

We have created our own currency. Very dangerous my fellow patriots!

            • Town Saver hello Fool. silver is aready below $20. Lol.

              • I think it has a little more to drop too. I think the bottom will be in at around $15-17/oz and that will be the ideal time to buy. A crisis is coming, it’s just difficult to time it because the confidence is still there. it’s the lynch pin that holds the whole world’s economy together.

                • Faith in notes(bills) is really all that ever holds most currencies value,I feel many have little to no faith world wide though.

              • It’s running around the $18 price right now, and it’s going lower.

The current price is not important, future value is what’s important.

      18. If your in the right place in California you can go out in your back yard and get enough gold to use instead of lead. Lucky you if you get smacked by one.

If you buy gold next year …you will loose money
If you buy US stocks this year… you will make money

        The US economy IS improving.
YES IT IS. I know, I know you don’t believe me and you don’t believe the US and foreign economists,or the gov. numbers, you don’t believe the financial sector, the media or any of the millions of investors around the world rushing to buy the US dollar
        and US stocks

We’re just sheeple … getting richer

        YOU should buy gold !

        • No, the stock price is increasing. It doesn’t mean that the real economy has improved. The problem is that we are experiencing valuations that have nothing to do with reality because of the manipulations of the Fed. It can’t go on forever and will eventually crash. When will it crash? I have no idea. It could crash today or it could crash 5 years from now. All I know is that the math shows that it will.

          • Stocks, food, gas, ammo, utilities are ALL up because…
wait for it, wait for it…The dollar is worth less.
When the manipulation in PM’s(ie. paper/futures) comes to an end, PM’s will skyrocket to reflect the real price of goods and services. 1oz silver = 1 day labor.
You can do the math. There will be a time when real currency will be needed. Trade and commerce will be restored at some point. FRN’s will be worth what they should be worth, ZIP!
You gotta prep like your life depends on it.

            PM’s yes

      24. I witnessed something tonight I have never seen before. I Wanted to share it here. I watched two older men get in a fight over water in the parking lot. Apparently both men went in to get gallons of water, one of them took everything left on the shelf leaving nothing for the other guy who was standing their waiting to get his.

They exchanged words when the one guy asked if he could at least have a few of the water jugs but the other said ‘No — I got here first. Come back tomorrow’. He checked out and the other guy followed him out and started yelling at him about what an a-hole he is. The guy with the water lost his temper and said ‘you wanna go? let’s go, right here’. Fists flew, and a couple of people called police. They both got some punches in, the guy with the water jumped in his truck and took off.

        ALL over water.

        It’s coming.

Another thing I keep seeing is walmart here is NOT stocking shelves all the way up for water anymore. In fact they reduced that section and the waters are almost always gone.

Don’t know what is going on but keeping an eye out on this.

        • M&M,though agree fighting over water a bit disconcerting have seen folks fight over dumber stuff,as for water, you on town/no hand pump keep plenty stored, consider a bathroom tub bag,has a pump and believe it holds 125 gallons.Hell,a expanding water stop in tub will not leak, less then 2 bucks, fill up tub if you have any warning.Know were local water at if you can get to it /treat/and get there safely.

        • I’ve noticed the selves at wally world are not being re-stocked at all at times. When they are it would appear at about 50 – 60%. And the clown Engelthal says the economy is improving. Some sheeple can’t see even when they pull their head out.

      25. I say, each he/her own in regard to PM’s.

I say, the time is coming that PM’s will be worthless because living will be a day to day trial and everyone living nearly hand to mouth.

So, with my .02 cents, when events start to occur, be restrained
in the use of prepped items, because resupply could be difficult………

      26. Mac and friends. You have cried wolf so many times that it has become a comical farce. Lets talk about reality regarding the stock market. Ya, like I said almost 2 years ago. It aint going down this time. Do not mistake this as being a good thing either. This time, “the crash” will be a moonshot into the 3500 on S&P500. THats if we dont keep climbing the wall of worry to that point before “the crash”. If I am wrong, and we get some downward event in the stock market, you should back up the truck and buy hand over fist. The Fed will not allow it to go on for long at all before unleashing a flood of money like no one can imagine. Get your heads out of your rear ends and stop trying to facilitate this ridiculous crash you speak of. Having siad all of this, DK is likely correct. Famine will come to America.

        • I tend to agree. A one to three point race doesn’t typically end up with a 10 point spread in the polls. Of course with London being the global banking hub that it is, it’s quite easy for them to buy off a few lower and middle class poll workers to forward their agenda.

      32. If the London Bankers really thought the Scots would win independence they would have had the Army invade. Have you ever seen so much fear mongering on the part of the bankers and politicians? They threatened to pull all of their banks and money out of Scotland. They told the old folks their pensions would be eliminated. All the while the Brits were claiming “We’re all just one big happy family.” “Don’t end our family.” Self-determination for every Human. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/09/19/1330821/-Breaking-US-House-Of-Representatives-Vote-For-Strike-Action

“And so, over the 14 weeks spanning the beginning of August and the middle of November, House members will work a grand total of eight days – out of a possible 103. And after today, they’ll be away from work for the next 54 days.”

      34. My paternal grandfather earned his citizenship (remember that quaint concept?) as a carpenter working on the Los Angeles Aqueduct. He lived and worked on flatcars in the Owns Valley, and saved every cent left over. He bought shares of Transamerica stock, which ended up worth 0 cents after the engineered Crash in 1929 and subsequent Depression. Transamerica was the holding company for Bank of Italy, that eventually became bank of America. The holding company stock was eagerly sought, since it was a rapidly growing banking and insurance enterprise. Unfortunately for Grandpa, it was apparently the subject of stock fraud, with bogus certificates widespread. Apparently shylock ripped off Grandpa with faux stock – or that is what he was told when trying to sell it. I had a broker check out the one remaining certificate I could find in the 1980’s – and it seemed to be the real deal. But since musical corporations had been played, it was still worth nothing. If you hold stock certificates, you might wish to confirm they are real. If they are held in trust, or by yourself, this might me the time to roll over into a physical metal IRA – where you hold the metal. Hard to forge gold and silver (though it can be done with tungsten bricks). I am buying Silver Eagles from JM Bullion as my hedge.

      35. I just bought a 100 oz gold bar. Enough playing with fire. Time to get serious about whats going to happen!

        • I have a 100oz silver bar, and I don’t even like it. I would much rather have a bag full of pre 65 quarters. Trekker Out.

      36. Mac, or anyone… have you heard from Be Informed?? I was absent for a couple weeks, but came to check out his take on the 7.1 earthquake in Guam a week or so ago, and didn’t see anything.

I just went through all the articles, I’ve seen some concern for him, and the last post he made was back on Sept 1st! Hope he’s doing ok! 🙁

        • @FriendPrep…..I have been ‘looking’ for him too….along with many others! take care, CC

      37. If it where put to a vote. the declaration of independence and revolutionary war would have been defeated. Too many folks have so little confidence in their own ability to do anything for themselves. They are held hostage by their own fear. The government keeps telling them they are lacking. that they are flawed inadequate to be able to survive without help. But never fear We (the Government) are here to help & enable you as long as you do what we tell you to do. The people are like a child tied to their mothers apron strings. Sick relationship for all involved.

      38. ***** EBOLA CRITICAL UPDATE *****

CIDRAP – Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy suggest respirators for all Ebola healthcare workers – aerosol transmissibility of virus in question

        http://theextinctionprotocol.wordpre…s-in-question/

“Unclear modes of transmission. We believe there is scientific and epidemiologic evidence that Ebola virus has the potential to be transmitted via infectious aerosol particles both near and at a distance from infected patients, which means that healthcare workers should be wearing respirators, not facemasks”

      39. I say that if you have extra cash in the bank buy some 1oz silver coins. You are getting no interest in the bank. The odds of silver going back over $30 or more in the next 5 years is very high. The odds of you getting more than 0% interest in the back are 0%.

Even after STHTF commerce will resume. While ammo will be a good store of value you can’t walk around with $10,000 in ammo. Four ounces of gold will allow you to carry a lot of wealth with you. Yes gold will always have value as it has for 5000 years.

I don’t understand some of you calling each other names over the buy gold/silver vs. buy ammo argument. Each has merit and if any of us could predict the future we would already be rich by now and have unlimited preps.

        • Exactly!!! 🙂

      41. Try prepping on a limited budget…Over the past 15 years I have gotten my family pretty well up to snuff…kinda sorta
        Balance is the key.
There seems to be a lot of folks fixating on one item or another, and not spreading out their resources.
        So…
        Food…4 years +
        Ammo…More than I can carry!
PM’s…A nice stash, at least for a poor boy.
Total off the grid power system.
        Ham radio
        fuel reserves.
The list goes on and on.
We are now at the point that we just fill the gaps as they present themselves…Not a bad place to be actually.

        Now about those PM’s.
I have a friend that owns a “coin shoppe”. I make sure to buy a little every month…not a lot.
How many of you can actually get PM’s at spot??? Make sure you figure in shipping, dealer overhead etc.
currently there seems to be a premium over spot.
Silver is about 2-3 bucks for generic/90%
Small gold =/<.25 oz is running about $10 over spot…If you can find it… THIS IS FOR OVER THE COUNTER SMALL PURCHASES. On large orders $5,000 and up it is cheaper, but still over spot. If you can get it at spot…Go You!

One reason to have a stash is during the first stage of the collapse, when FRN's are ass wipe, Au and AG will be accepted as barter. This will be important during the "Scramble" period. After TSHTF fully happens it might not be as trade-able. During reconstruction it will again become a medium of exchange.
Applying this logic…Yea I have a small stash.

        Beans
        Bullets
        Band-aids
        Booze
        Bullion
        Kinda in that order.

One should not put all their eggs in one basket…
None of us can predict the future with 100% accuracy.

Let me leave you with two thoughts:

If ya ain't got COMM, ya ain't got squat!
        And:
Hot Sauce is not a luxury!
        No, make that three thoughts…
ASS WIPE…LOTS AND LOTS OF ASS WIPE…
        The ultimate barter item!!!

        • Nobody, have plenty of tp though have survived without, hate hot sauce, excepting world band radio am basically a lone wolf(OK,cornered rabid weasel),so,comms not really in the picture excepting a few walkie talkies, who knows,I may make a friend and want to stay in contact!

      43. Let’s not forget that F.D.R made it illegal to own gold with the stroke of a pen. Obama could easily do the same.

      44. The elite are buying gold for two reasons. One, they know what’s coming (since they engineered it). Two, because its cheep (since they engineered it).

You should be buying too. I have been.

        • *cheap*, no it wasn’t a play on cheech & chong….

      45. Warchild…Hot sauce is a generic term for spices…The last thing I want to do is to start eying my arm as food fatigue sets in.
On the COMM ticket…World band is a good start…At least you will know whats going on around you, from the mainstream…However us hams will be the ones getting the “news” out. At a minimum you need a receiver that is single side band capable. SSB is where the majority of Hams operate. Just consider it an extension of “situational awareness”.

Lone wolf…Yea, I’m kinda that way myself, although I do have a bit of a “Pack”.

On the Ass wipe ticket…Yea buddy…maple leaves work in a pinch!

        Preppin ain’t cheap…Fill the gaps!

      46. Nobody, what would said receiver go for,am budgeted a bit, keep up with the smalls on all scales, spices am in a bit but really think may be on foot even in northern new england, they will not be a beneficial weight then.As for eyeballing your arm in hunger fatigue, well, better yours then mine!

      49. another reason for the dumb animal, (morally bankrupt), “elites” to buy gold is to have wealth that someone cannot get at with a computer.

      50. Will anyone be offended if I say I really HATE the Jewish bankers. They enslaved the US with debt and made slaves of us all. Think of all the years away from our children we’ve had to spend scraping a living so we can pay the interest on shit they invented out of thin air.

Once in a history class I asked a liberal professor why Hitler was able to convince so many to kill off over six million jews. His only answer was.. “Because he was evil.” I pressed him further and all I got was anger.

The reality…the jews extended credit to people to enslave them. Then when you cannot pay..they use the law to take your property. Fact.. many German families were evicted from their family farms and on the edge of starvation after the currency collapse in 1923. Along comes Hitler and you got a nice brown shirt, a hat, pin and you go to go beat the shit out the people that destroyed your family and national currency.

        ANY FUCKING QUESTIONS.

Then the Jews get their Anti Defamation League to come down on anyone who speaks ill of them. It’s all crap.
They are an evil race and they deserved what they got.

Notice all the Jewish politicians trying to disarm us.
They are scared of us.. as they know if things collapse all the poor and armed will revolt.

        History repeats.

We all spend years away from our kids working long hard hours. Then they crashed the currency and prices doubled.

I’m just tired of their game. They control the media and all the fucks in congress.

Kennedy was killed because he wanted to break their grip.

        I just say this..
Do all you can to keep your children from falling victim to their credit card products. They max them out..sell them a house then have them tap the home equity to enslave them long-term.

If you want the real truth in life…
        1. Follow the money.
