    Via Daily Mail:

The sheer panic of people trying to flee the Japanese tsunami has been captured in a newly-released video that shows the life and death race to outrun the wave.

The fate of some of those in the footage is unknown as the water rises so quickly that they simply disappear in the swell carrying cars and buildings.

Residents from the town, believed to be called Minami-sanriku, are seen running up the side of a hill to safety as the water behind them closes in on them.

      1. This is horrible.  At the very end, watch the guy in all black head down the hill to rescue someone.  He slips & is washed away.  A hero.

      2. GA Mom – he is indeed a hero, but I think he made it – I’ve seen other videos from this vantage point, he slips but I think he reappears after a second or so:
not the best video (there are a few others of this city), but shows a slightly different angle:

      3. Just unbelievable.

      4. Nature’s a mother….

      5. Amazing but sad footage.

      6. Omg this was such a horrific tragedy for these people. Nature makes reminds us how temporary this all is.

      7. DUDE!
The internet bums me out sometimes

      8. “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.” (Mathew 24:7-8)

Prepare as these types of events are just getting started. Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand.

      9.

“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.” (Luke 21:25)

        Judgement day is at hand

      10. I believe there will be a big disaster in California, and it can happen any time. It will be either an earthquake or a strike against nuclear facilities.

I believe in science, not in rituals; as you heard some ppl said something must happen before certain thing can happen for them.

Like a ring of five has to happen before a major event can happen.  And California is the last link in the chain.  With today science, almost anything can be explained.

      11. There are many other things yet to happen Tony.  You know it.  You are probably ahead of your time.  Deal with it.

      12. If this happens in Cal., it will be much worse than Japan.  Because of freeways, heavy traffic and/or high-rise buildings in densely populated areas.

Use common sense and the laws of physics will help.  When you see the ground moves and a crack opens, it can split very wide open and swallow you.

Do you think Obama and his administration are concerned or preparing for these types of disasters???? The news says Obama is starting his campaign now for the next election; I guess we’re on our own, OMG.

And Joe Biden was sleeping during Obama’s speech – probably due to his old age.

Oddly applicable music references aside, this is terrifying but inspiring.  It reaffirms how much both faith and community count when it really, really matters.

*I hope we never forget how much a dose of humor can help us cope, while also flicking a raised finger of defiance in death’s face.

      15. Comments….. I’m back! mushroom is my god!

      16. It has been 30 days since that horrible earthquake and tsunami. The people of Japan have suffered so much and still it goes on with strong aftershocks, nuclear problems and liquifaction.
God Bless the people of Japan. Give them strength. Shower your grace upon them that they may continue to take care of eachother like they we say them doing in this video and so many others.

      17. An excellent metaphor for the destruction of the entire nation of America and Europe — the earthquake analogous to total systemic economic collapse and the water being the fiat global reserve currency. The end result being essentially the same.

      18. If some you above me still think this was nature, you gotta wake up, because it is not, Just study how these tsunami waves went, and open your mind.

      19. I’m sure al the whales and dolphins of the world are truly saddened by the death of a few nips!!!! Turn about is fair play I say! good for MOTHER NATURE! Long Live GAIA!

      20. MAN  – is a disease, a plague upon the earth… it’s time to exterminate man!
