It’s no secret that the Nazis stole millions of dollars worth of art, gold jewelry and personal belongings of the millions of people who were eventually sent to one of their many concentration camps across northern Europe. What does remain a secret are the whereabouts of the fabled Nazi gold train, which according to local legend was used to ferry away the Reich’s riches at the end of World War II.
Several months ago a couple of amatuer explorers in Poland thought they had finally found the location of the train and the Polish government even sent military teams to start digging it up because it was believed to be hidden in secret railway tunnels some 30 feet underground.
But as the New York Times reports, the hunt for the train may be a bust:
“There may be a tunnel,” said Janusz Madej, the head of the scientific team, “but there is no train.”

The Krakow University team of geologists and engineers surveyed the site in November using magnetic and gravitation methods, Mr. Madej said at a news conference. The examination revealed some anomalies in the ground, he said, but they are no more than about eight feet below the surface, while the train was supposed to be 30 feet underground.
“The anomalies could be remnants of a collapsed tunnel,” he said.
The two amateur explorers — Piotr Koper, a Polish construction company owner, and Andreas Richter, a German geologist — said in August that they had “irrefutable proof” of the existence and location of the train, which was thought to be filled with gold, gems and weapons and sealed in a tunnel in the closing days of World War II.
The supposed findings by the Polish government’s research teams have not persuaded explorers Koper and Richter, however.
The explorers said their own experts had recently checked the site with ground-penetrating, thermal and magnetic sensors. Based on that data, the two men said there were clear signs of a railway tunnel, with tracks and sleepers.

Mr. Koper said on Tuesday that he and Mr. Richter, though just “hobbyist treasure hunters,” stood by everything they said and added, “There can’t be a mistake.”
It’s certainly possible that Koper and Richter are right. They reportedly began their search after a man who claims he helped hide the train in 1945 made a deathbed confession of its location.
Should the Nazi money train actually be where they say it is, there could well be billions of dollars worth of gold, silver, guns and prized artwork. That is often motivation enough for government officials and interested parties to engage in a cover-up and keep all the booty for themselves.

I suppose it is also possible that this Nazi Train Story never existed in the first place. A possible hoax or fictional story to cover the lost property that was never returned to it’s proper owners.

Indeed, it could have been fake from the get-go, but I do think there is still unrecovered Nazi treasure hidden all over the world, especially in Eastern Europe.
Mac, you might want to make some inquiries to the Swiss government. The Nazi regime was in bed with Swiss bankers before, during, and even after the war. There may still be unrecovered Nazi treasure in Switzerland. The Swiss were less neutral than they claimed to be during the war.
Yep — there’s a reason they didn’t get invaded like everyone else, and it wasn’t because they were “neutral.”
Spain was also “neural”, but strong evidence has shown an alliance of sorts with the Nazi regime during Hitlers reign.
It appears a lot of dirty deeds was done between those who were directly and indirectly involved in WW2. Business as usual between Nations of War, not much if any has changed since that time of history.

The Swiss even allowed some Nazi war criminals to hide out in their country after the war until they could make their way out of Europe. Heinrich Muller, chief of the Gestapo was one who his until 1947 when he was secretly flown to the US and given employment by the newly formed CIA. He survived until the 80s. He didn’t die in Berlin as the historians claimed. The Vatican itself helped tens of thousands of Nazi war criminals to escape from Europe to South America after the war ended.
The Swiss banksters stole most of the loot. They did things like demanding death certificates for people gassed in the camps (Wadda ya mean, death certificates are not issued in concentration camps??).

the train is there. The Polish govt is hiding the truth. No proof has been given that its NOT there. How hard would it be to drill holes above the location and see if they hid a void or metal of a train? THE COVER UP STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN
One issue never officially resolved from WW2 is the estimated 35,000 Allied POWs who were being held in camps in eastern Germany, Poland, and Czechoslovakia and all these regions were overrun by the Russians in 1945. The USSR always denied holding them and the Russian Federation has never resolved the question either.
If i were a betting woman, i’d say they probably got incorporated into the nearest factory or farm, with the warning ” work here and stay quiet, or you will be sent to Siberia”. My guess is they probably decided to live, and make a life of sorts where they were.
One of them was an uncle of mine. He and a few hundred other POWs in a Silesian camp stayed behind when the Russians came, either too sick to walk west or stayed to help care for the sick. None from that camp that stayed have been seen since February, 1945.
It all went into the Black Eagle Trust along with the Japanese gold that was confiscated in the Philippines.
The Trust has helped fund Empire’s covert ops ever since WWII.

A jewel encrusted Faberge elephant that had been collecting dust was recently discovered in the British Royal Family art collection. One story states it was bought from an antique dealer by King George V in 1935. The story also says he had no idea this looted treasure was a Faberge piece.
1935??? Germany didn’t start their war effort until September 1,1939.
The Faberge elephant originally belonged to Russian royalty. My point was that costly and important items do not disappear in the dust. They wind up in the collections of ultra wealthy. No matter what or how much these people have it’s not enough.
