Ron Paul: ‘He’s the most powerful man in the world’

If you haven’t heard the news, Time’s Person of the Year is none other than Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke.

Ron Paul weighs in on Mr. Bernanke’s most recent distinction on Morning Joe.

He’s the most powerful man in the world. I believe the case can be made for that. He controls the supply of money, which is the dollar, which is the reserve currency of the world. He can create a trillion dollars in secret without any monitoring of the congress. So, there’s no transparency. I think he’s more powerful than the President.

This whole mess that we’re in, which has a long way to go, has been caused by the Federal Reserve.
