    Mitt Romney has called for the release of the full video in which he was captured on hidden camera stating that Obama supporters believed they were “victims” and deserved “entitlements” like health care, food and housing.

    Asked if he was worried that he had offended the 47 percent of people he mentioned in the statement, Romney did not back off his remarks.

    “It’s not elegantly stated, let me put it that way,” Romney said. “I’m speaking off the cuff in response to a question, and I’m sure I can state it more clearly in a more effective way than I did in a setting like that and so I’m sure I’ll point that out as time goes on.”

    But, he added, “It’s a message which I am going to carry and continue to carry.”

    “My campaign is about helping people take more responsibility and becoming employed again, particularly those who don’t have work,” Romney said. “His whole campaign is based on getting people jobs again, putting people back to work. This is ultimately a question about direction for the country. Do you believe in a government-centered society that provides more and more benefits or do you believe instead in a free enterprise society where people are able to pursue their dreams?”

    As we noted in the original report below, what may have looked like an incident leaked by an Obama supporter to dissuade potential voters from supporting the Romney campaign may actually be a calculated political strategy to create clear divisiveness between the two sides, pitting traditionally socially oriented democrats against independents, republicans and undecided voters who are weary of government involvement in every aspect of Americans’ lives.

    ORIGINAL REPORT 12:05 AM CST: Romney Uncut: Obama Supporters are Freeloaders: “Believe They Are Entitled to Health Care, to Food, To Housing, To You-Name-It” *Video*

    U.S. Presidential candidate Mitt Romney recently spoke at a private fundraiser to what has been described as a small group of wealthy contributors gathered in Boca Raton, Florida.

    The video, authenticated by left leaning political web site Mother Jones and made available by an unnamed source who attended the event, captures the Presidential hopeful in what he believes is a venue outside the view of the general voting public.

    Whether this was by accident or a brilliant political move to create a stark wedge between two key issues – more government entitlements or individual responsibility – his words make a clear distinction between the two candidates.

    According to Romney, 47% of Americans are going to vote for President Obama no matter what.

    He dismissed these Americans as freeloaders who pay no taxes, who don’t assume responsibility for their lives, and who think government should take care of them. Fielding a question from a donor about how he could triumph in November, Romney replied:

    There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what.

    All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it.

    That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what.

    …These are people who pay no income tax.

    Romney went on: “My job is is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”

    In the following videos Mitt Romney discusses his views on a host of controversial topics that you’d never hear in a mainstream campaign ad or political speech.

    Take a an uncut peek into his thoughts and campaign strategy sans teleprompter.

    Video stream via The Daily Sheeple:

    On the economy:

    Sometimes it [the stock market] does the exact opposite of what I would have expected. But my own view is that if we get a “Taxageddon,” as they call it, January 1st, with this President, and with a Congress that can’t work together, it’s – it really is frightening.

    On Winning::

    And in a setting like this, a highly intellectual subject – discussion on a whole series of important topics typically doesn’t win elections. And there are, there are – for instance, this President won because of “hope and change.”

    The Romney Team:

    I have a very good team of extraordinarily experienced, highly successful consultants, a couple of people in particular who have done races around the world. I didn’t realize it. These guys in the US – the Karl Rove equivalents – they do races all over the world… in America, in Africa, in Israel.

    I mean, they worked for Bibi Netanyahu in his race…

    More on Obama Voters:

    And because they voted for him, they don’t want to be told that they were wrong, that he’s a bad guy, the he did bad things, that he’s corrupt. Those people that we have to get, they want to believe they did the right thing, but he just wasn’t up to the task.

    …What he’s going to do, by the way, is try and vilify me as someone who’s been successful, or who’s, you know, closed businesses or laid people off, and is an evil bad guy. And that may work…

      1. I dont know what his strategy is here for doing this. is it to spark people up and get them thinking or make the freeloaders think about getting responsible for being deadbeats. I dont care either way. regardless what we do bills and restrictions get passed on us that make no sense. I think if this guy really cares it would take a act of congree to do it. lol I don’t care anymore all these bastards pass laws and take things away from us and tax us to the moon. At this point im starting to prepare, my fiance doesn’t believe in this but I do, so I have to work extra hard to pickup for her. Its ok because we all believe in this if we are here, otherwise why would you waste your time veiwing what we say.

        • @ clint hospo. Those 5 words every last person should be speaking right now; “I am starting to prepare”. An empty pantry is a sure course for failure. People are totally clueless about water. I have talked to people and they think they are fine with a couple of cases of water or less. God help them, because that is exactly what type of help they are going to have to get when the water faucets don’t work anymore and the store shelves look like Old Mother Hubbard’s cupboards.

          • thanks man for caring but we got a old hot tub that is 1000 gallons with fresh water in it. allset and we got a lake about 3 miles away as well. thanks though! Yes water is key key key

            • @ Clint hospo. I didn’t mean you at all, I just meant all of these non-preppers that live with their heads entombed in the ground. I know that you and most the people here are quite ready for what is coming, thankfully.

              It is just so frustrating to talk to these characters that think everything is going to be fine no matter what. This includes natural disasters also. It is like I talk to the wall when I speak to them about at least having water. So frustrating to see such naive individuals isn’t it.

            • Inside or outside?? Think about that??

            • katadyn pocket filter…

              silver impregnated ceramic system, very portable(about the size of a bicycle water bottle)and depending on turbidity one cartridge good for roughly 13000 gal. of potable water.

              350.00 approx.

            • Guys….Great info. I’ve been reading the site and blog for a while and am constantly impressed with all the prep info everyone contributes. And the earth quake info from BI. Thats awesome. The one thing I have yet to see anyone touch on is physical fitness. Not only do yo uneed to prepare your supplies and mind but your body is HUGE. I know a lot of people THINK they are in decent shape but thinking and know are two different things. What would you do if you had to hike a 80lbs pack 10 miles in a SHFT scenario? Would you be able to?

            • John in a box- you are right about being in shape. you handle stress better sometimes, you are more flexible and can move more quickly and handle picking up and moving things quickly wihtout being burned out. Very good point. working out is key, you are 100 percent correct. good point

          • BI – you make a fantastic point about water.

            We’ve just moved and are having an issue with our well – it is right down to the bottom, sucking up dirty water. So in effect, we have no clean running water.

            The landlord is awesome – he’s getting it fixed and not charging us rent right now. The problem has occurred because of the drought this summer.

            This is a fantastic test of our preps! I’m not as organized as usual since we have just moved but we are still way ahead of most folks.

            We have those big jugs of filtered water on a water cooler for drinking and cooking.

            You can flush with dirty water so sanitation is not an issue.

            I have a functioning kitchen so I can boil and filter water for washing dishes and cleaning.

            What I’ve learned

            – I’m investing in big supply of paper plates, etc
            – I’m thinking about ways of cooking don’t require as much washing up (like things wrapped in foil to be cooked)
            – I’ve rigged up a coffee filter lined colander to filter my boiled water into the sink for washing dishes
            – I’m collecting rainwater in order to be able to flush if the well hits bottom before they re-drill or whatever they do later in the week.
            – I’m adding to my filtered water – right now I have a month of drinking water for us and the pets – I’d like to get to 3 months.

            Every small hardship we face right now is but an inconvenience – I can go and purchase what I need to make things work more smoothly (like the afore-mentioned paper plates.)

            By running into these issues NOW – I can be better prepared for when the solution is not as close as the hardware store.

            • @ Daisy. Isn’t it sad just how people don’t realize just how much water they use for so much. If the average person actually took even a crude estimate of just how much water they use each each besides drinking, they would be shocked. I have suggested to many people in the desert areas to get some of those tough plastic trash cans and fill them up with water. In a garage someone could store 10-20 of those 20-30 gallon trash cans full of water and just empty them once every two weeks or every month and refill them. Those trash cans are quite durable, not the el cheapo ones. Even a 20 gallon trash can is not terribly heavy to dump and refill at 167 pounds of water. It is something at else.

              I was looking at those big water barrels, 55 gallon, that have an empty spout at the bottom. They cost about $50, but they are very durable. Someone can purchase some of that water purification mixture that Mac’s sponsor sell that keeps water good for 5 years.

              You mentioned collecting rainwater, and someone can do this with those plastic tarps, and a slight incline to channel the water into a basin, likely towards the center. Hundreds of gallons of water can be collected with only a half of an inch of rain.

              People should also realize that hauling water is difficult, as water weighs 8.33 pounds per gallon and should have some means of doing so over any distance. Everybody’s vehicle could be permanently not working. Wagons are really nice for this, and other push or pull carrying devices should have larger wheels as this makes it much easier with anything heavy. Also something that is quiet as possible should be considered when hauling water or anything else. Also as you mentioned it is so important to be able to boil water, and much consideration should be given to having the fuel to be able to boil water.

              Anything that can catch water is going to be a live saver, as some people dig up areas in their backyard and put in a fish pond, no fish, just for somewhere that water is available. Many ideas and someone can always come up with ingenius ways of storing water around their home. Water is definitely our life and we must have it or forget about surviving.

            • If you choose to cook in ziplok bags those things that can be, that water can be reused.
              Little things like this may mean surviving or not.
              Prepper sites…ain’t they great.
              Stock up on ziploks..I did.

            • daisy, look at it as a god send. because in the city when the water and sewer stops working correctly, it will be backing up into everyones home. dont bother filtering that water for washing dishes. grab some water from the lake.

            • i had issues this summer, but was just my pump was working harder to bring the water up becuase it was further down. but far from being dry.

            • Daisy and all;

              It is better to flush your toilet with a bucket of water straight into the bowl and not the tank.., you will use less water to flush this way.

              This will also save time an energy.

              Pardon me Daisy if I am preaching to the choir.

              😉

            • I have read if you put a little cooking oil in your rain barrel water, it will prevent mosquitos from hatching there. Apparently, a thin layer of oil on top kills them as they can’t breathe.

              We used rain barrel water on the garden. I would rather have a little olive oil vs. bleach in the water.

            • BI
              SO true about the water where I live a lot of people have to haul water so I decided that I would live like we hauled water. I have really cut down on water usage
              I have a tank out side to catch my washer water to water the trees with and small buckets to catch the water in the bathroon sinks when waiting on hot water and then dumping that into a larger bucket to flush with. And the old motto if its brown flush it down if it’s yellow let it mellow.

            • @BI, check on the internet for used 55 gallon plastic drums. I picked up a dozen for 10 bucks a piece that are food grade and had cooking oil in them. Washed them out two and three times with a mixture of bleach and detergent and they’re spotless. I’m also getting ready to buy some 275 gallon tanks that held cooking oil for 50 bucks apiece. These have the metal cage around them and a built in spigot at the bottom. Check around local salvage yards or junk yards for these. The 55 gallon drums have screw type bungs that are also threaded in a hole in the middle of the plug that can take a spigot purchased at Lowes or Home Depot.

          • What THIS conservative thinks, but could never repeat outside of this forum;

            Your the captain. Unfortunatley, your ship has gone down. You find yourself in command of a 10 man(person) provisioned lifeboat,…. with 20 on board and clinging.
            The lifeboat will insure the survival of 10.

            Progressive Captain; Wallow in doubt, fret over the situation. Delay action. Poll the occupants. All 20 aboard end up dying.

            Conservative Captain; Realises the grave situation. Takes command. Does not “feel” good about it, but identifies the most able bodied, and saves 10-12 souls. Upon rescue, is charged with murder.

            That is just the way I see it. Leadership sometimes demands hard choices. Could I be that captain? Could you?

              According to the Census Bureau, 49% of Americans in the second quarter of 2011 lived in a household where at least one member received a government benefit.

              (The total population at the time was 305 million.)

              (blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2012/09/18/the-data-behind-romneys-47-comments/)

          • BI, I disagree with you somewhat. 50% of the battle is waking up and realising that you’re going to need food and water and you’re not going to get it from the grocery store and the faucet. The other 50% is getting the stuff you need. If, by chance, the collapse happens and he doesn’t even have an extra pack or ramen noodles, Clint is far, Far, FAR, *FAR* better off than the average sheople. He has a clue and he’ll make it. It won’t be pretty but, he might even talk someone into helping him. If he’s got some skills, heck, I might even take him in.

            “Can you shoot?”
            “Can you grow stuff?”
            “Can you hoe?”
            “Can you run a chainsaw?”
            “Can you hunt?”
            “Know about wild foods?”
            “Can you trees like a monkey?”
            “Are you big and strong as an ox?”

            If you answer an emphatic “YES to any of these and if I think I can trust you, I’ll either clear a spot in the shed or fix you a bed in the basement. I’ll show you the perimiter or the hunting areas, slap a gun in your hand, a hoe in your hand, a pair of binoculars in your hand and say, “Get busy. Supper is at six. Its not fancy but it will keep you alive.”

            Many may not be able to do that, but, on 30 acres, two streams, multiple lakes nearby, I’d be a fool if I were to pass up a survival boost of two hands with available skills.

          • I don’t understand the water thing? Do you know something about the water? Is something going to happen to water? Let us know more about it? Thank You.

            • If government collapses then municipal and county water supplies won’t be available. If electricity goes because of EMP or total collapse, home water pumps will fail in addition to the other sources.

              You need your own sources of water. If you have a water pump, you need to provide your own electricity. You may need to dig your own well that uses a hand pump. There are many types of hand pumps for deep and shallow wells. If your city doesn’t allow a well on your property, buy the equipment to drive a well by yourself and do it inside an outbuilding or shed. Then don’t tell anyone about it.

              Put gutters all around your house and outbuildings if you don’t have them already. Put in collection barrels with filters and diverter valves all around the house. Paint them to match the buildings so they won’t stand out. I saw a house in a nice subdivision once that had rainwater collection barrels right in front of their house and they were hardly noticeable. Put the barrels up on blocks and install faucets at the bottoms. There is a rainwater calculator at
              http://save-the-rain.com/SR2/
              You type in your address, click on the corners of your house, and it will tell you how much water you can expect to collect in a year.

              Also, get good water filters so that you can use the rainwater, or any other water you can find from swamps, creeks, rivers, swimming pools, ditches, etc.

            • @Indio…just that if electricity goes off, you can’t run your pump to flush or drink, bathe, etc…. I have been picking up 5 gal. food grade buckets from my local deli(grocery store) in my small town…..they may have had cookie dough, or icing in them…..very easy to clean and sanitize…..fill with clean water and storing in basement……have about 70 filled now…

              Also fill all javex bottles, laundry detergent bottles, and pop bottles….even though it doesn’t seem like bottles are very big…..would be enough to do some clean up or wash face and hands, shampoo…etc….Hope this helps, take care CC.

            • Indio,

              Water is life its the rules of 3 3 mins without air and you die, 3 days without water and you die and 3 weeks with out food and some will die.
              And on that note I just picked up 6 55 gal barrels for 20 bucks alittle cleaning and they work just fine for rain harvesting. Go to Ytube and look at some of them, I turned mine upside down and drilled into the bung cap and added pvc, with the gutter in 1 end and the valve on the other I ended up with 330 gals of renewable water. That is when we get rain. Also look on cheaper then dirt dot com for the do DYI water filter for under 25 bucks. hell it made my pond water drinkable.

          “I don’t worry about our losing a republican government in the United States because I’m afraid of a foreign invasion. I don’t worry about it because of a coup by the military, as has happened in some other places.

          What I worry about is that when problems are not addressed, people will not know who is responsible, and when the problems get bad enough – as they might do for example with another serious terrorist attack, as they might do with another financial meltdown — some one person will come forward and say: ‘Give me total power and I will solve this problem.’

      3. I have said this before, it doesn’t matter whom is elected, the country is broken. each election cycle we go through this same crap of getting rid of the last idiot that further buried the country. Look at what last election got the people. The fact is that romney is not some savior, no freaking way. Just like that piece of crap we got the last election was not going to save the country. People have not woke up to this the the two party system is pure poison and we all get the same poison in different degrees each time.

        Well it is too late now. The country is toast, and may well be before there is any election. Get your preps in order because it is not going to matter. IF there is an election it is going to be like the old dictatorships in which you just can’t win with either of the two candidates. A third party just is not allowed to even debate the other two. The United States right now is just like the opening fires of the Hindenburg, no one can prevent what is coming, also to the world as a whole. All the prepper can do is just stock up as much as possible and be ready within themselves.

        • The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of the Conservatives is to prevent the mistakes from being corrected.

          Thought to be by G.K.Chesterson

          • What? The current crop of conservatives’ bizarre belief in the same economics that have given the elite so much power this far is about the only thing I can think of worse than the progressives. If you’re voting republican to fix the “mistakes” you speak of, good luck.

            • There are “progressives” and there are “conservatives”, however, a lot of the “progressives” found that they could get elected by acting “conservative” and saying “I’m a conservative!!!” and then getting into office and being way more progressive than any conservative dare admit.

              There are some true conservatives but very few. Ron Paul was one. True conservatives preserve freedom downsize government. Fake conservatives are usually “neocons” and are actually warmongering progressives with some conservative fiscal and social values, but, will throw it all to the wind to make sure their war gets waged.

              I don’t know what Romney is. After listening to the MJ videos I actually have a little more respect for the guy. I just can’t figure out what to do anymore. I am considering taking my name off the voting registry and publicly stating in the local paper:

              “I do not vote. I do not consent. Stop what you are doing. It is unlawful and you don’t have my permission.”

              …and leave it at that.

        • Be Informed: Clear thinking as usual. All this talk as to deflation, hyperinflation, more war, etc. is just an excercise in futility. Anyone who consistantly spends more than they take in eventually goes broke. It doesn’t matter if it’s a household, company, or nation, the result is bankruptcy. Getting ready for the fallout of that dreadful day and its devastating aftermath is the what’s important. Keep prepping folks.

        • be informed- thats why I said I dont care, because it doesnt matter who gets in, they pass laws that are against us and they tell us they want to help but they dont. they pass laws behind our backs that benefit illegals or something to that nature. They are full of crap, im not going to waste my time worrying to get a republican elected. Many would say, “you must get the GOP into power.” But it does nothing and they still restrict us or pass laws that are completly BS. as for food I got about 3 months and need more. They tell us they want to restore freedom etc but, more drones are being ordered, more traffic cameras etc. I will not waste my time trying to get him into office. I will waste my time reading the news to see what they are doing to us and keep up with the current issues but will focus all my time on thinking about what I still have to get and to protect your stuff and have multiple backup plans.

        • Be informed: You are right as always! The problems we face today exist because the people that WORK for a living, are out numbered by those who VOTE for a living. No one that can or will change this will never be elected. Also nothing new on the NEW MADRID is going on right now as for USGS.

        • Prep, prep, prep.
          This election is about the lesser of two evils……

          But if voting gives you a sense of security believing any politician (yes even Ron Paul) is in a position to impact the agenda of the corporatocracy, and bring about meaningful change that will impact you in a positive way, well by all means go cast your vote for democracy (he says tongue in cheek).

          The fact that there are so many people suckling on the teat of the largess that I provide makes me ill.

          Why is it so many people expect, dare I say demand, that others like myself provide them “ANY” form of assistance? It’s one thing if I choose to give, but with so many useless eaters demanding that I provide them subsistence via government confiscation, I say there is at least one good thing good that will come of collapse, it will be the great equalizer natural selection.

          I believe left to their own device, the law(s) of natural selection is the true decider of fate. It gives me much satisfaction to know that those whom scream the loudest and demand the most of the producers will be hit the hardest after a reset. Oh, for the short term they can scam, cajole and steal the resources of others, but over time they will perish due to their lack of willingness and ability to provide for themselves.

          I only hope I live long enough to see the look in their collective eyes as they realize the dichotomy of their situation as the teat runs dry.

          I have spent time in a big city, and it is going to be great theatre once the balloon goes up.

          Let’s see:
          Guns~ check
          Ammo~ check
          Food~ check
          Fuel~ check
          Med Supplies~ check
          Basic and advanced stores~ check
          Like minded neighbors~ check

          I guess I will sit down tonight and read a good book by lamplight, turn in about 9:30 and start again tomorrow.

          Be well all!!!

          • VERY well said Wally Dog, very well said.

            Thumbs up for you. I echo your pleasure at seeing the expressions of their realisation.

      4. Romney can never get the votes of those who want the gov to do everything for them… so he is using it as a wedge…and he is saying words that people who are fighting to work and support families expect to hear… i suspect he knows all his talks will make it out into the public view so he is calling it as it is. And btw… he is right on this one. Both campaigns miss the point that we have to create jobs… right now… and we have to make capital available for business. I have a small farm. I couldn’t get a loan right now for anything… luckily I don’t need one… but if I did…??

      5. It will be interesting to see how this one affects the election.

        You are already seeing the mainstream media trying to make Romney look like the “bad guy” here…but I really don’t see why it’s even remotely controversial.

        I think Mitt is basically right – and I THINK most people won’t be offended by these comments at all…regardless of how MSNBC portrays it.

        Sure, I’d rather have Romney, but I really think that is a pick of the lesser of two evils…however, my money is on Obama at this point.

        The only positive spin I can put on it is that I think things will get worse faster if Obama wins – and that is a good thing in a sense…because I honestly believe things have to get worse before they get better in a sustainable manner…and the sooner that happens, the better we will be in the long run.

      6. After listening to these videos, I would say that Mitt has a better understanding of the situation than I thought he had and can articulate his ideas well.

        I have been wondering why he hasn’t been more aggressive and considered it a weakness, but I now suspect that he has just been keeping his powder dry for the debates and a media blitz later.

        I think he will come on strong and I believe that America has a better chance of mitigating OUR problems if he wins.

        Four more years of O’bummer would be a complete disaster for this nation. His administration couldn’t run a Lemonade stand
        if a legal, non-forged birth certificate depended upon it.

        Four more years of O’bummer will mean that OUR Right to Bear Arms will be challenged or terminated by Executive Order; Illegals will be allowed to overrun OUR borders again;
        indefinite detention of Americans will become law as habeas corpus is suspended; and Internet snooping by Nappy will continue unabated.

        Engage your employees or be enslaved by them.

        • This can only help him in my opinion. I know some really decent people who are in that 47 million. They would never vote for Obama unless they misread the ballot and thought they were voting for Ala-Bama as the #1 team in the nation. Heck, my eyes are pretty bad, I’d better take my specs to the polls.

        • You mean illegals will overrun our borders STILL. They never stopped. I feel sorry for you people in AZ. You live on the front lines in that war. If Brewer really meant to stop it, she would put NG on the border and dare BO to do something about it.

          I think you are right about Mutt. At least he’ll use lube when he rapes us.

        • I couldn’t agree more, DK.

          I believe Romney is addressing the Independents as well as those who are “Undecided”. Not all (I)s are in that category, many are frustrated (D)s. Romney is sending a strong message to these people who are working or retired, including the Tea Party folks, — people who are being taxed and who resent the redistributive ideology through taxation.

          Remember, statistically, voter turnout is not 100% in ANY voter block. Also, voter turnout is in direct correlation with income as well as the level of education of the voter. Consequently, not all of those “47 million” freeloaders that Romney is focusing on won’t bother to vote. Some will vote, yes, but this is NOT a voting block. Remember the demographics: the welfare-poor and those without a high school diploma only represent a 35%-40% of the voters. They’re not a voting block, per se. Most are not only apathetic with their miserable lives, but they’re politically apathetic. Some of them were revved up during Obama’s first campaign but that segment of his base (as well as the (D) youth vote) is no longer prominent.

          Remember, Romney has been a very successful businessman most of his career — success does not come without prowess. Romney has been strategic in his campaign moves but few give him and his team credit for it. Yet. He has been offering his campaign slowly, holding many of his ‘cards’ — timing is critical. The Romney team has strategized so that the specifics of his plan are not divulged until weeks before the debates begin. Obama and his mob are very worried and on the defensive — their actions reveal their fears. Since Romney is not giving his hand to Obama too quickly, Romney will not allow Obama’s team a great deal of time to prepare. Romney is waiting…..he has calculated things correctly.

          Another 4 years of Obama and we will be a Marxist Nation. Anyone who doesn’t see the accelerated level of Obama’s “fundamental change” now is a blind fool. And a Democrat.

          Oh — did anyone notice that Romney can talk business without a fricking teleprompter?

          • Whoops….need more coffee! I wrote something incorrectly. I said “the welfare-poor and those without a high school diploma only represent a 35%-40% of the voters.”

            Meant to say only 35%-40% of the welfare-poor and those without a high school diploma turnout to vote.

          • I share this again to support your view Zoltanne:

            Why the fraud will lose:
            *Black voters. His endorsement of gay marriage has alienated many black church-going Christians. .

            *Jewish voters. Obama has been weak in his support of Israel. Many Jewish voters and big donors are angry and disappointed.

            *Youth voters. Obama’s biggest and most enthusiastic believers from 4 years ago have graduated into a job market from hell. Young people are disillusioned, frightened, and broke- a bad combination. The enthusiasm is long gone. Turnout will be much lower among young voters, as will actual voting percentages.

            *Catholic voters. Obama won a majority of Catholics in 2008. That won’t happen again. Out of desperation to please women, Obama went to war with the Catholic Church over contraception. Now he is being sued by the Catholic Church. Majority lost.

            *Small Business owners.Because I ran for Vice President last time around, and I’m a small businessman myself, I know literally thousands of small business owners. At least 40% of them in my circle of friends, fans and supporters voted for Obama. I warned them that he would pursue a war on capitalism and demonize anyone who owned a business…that he’d support unions over the private sector in a big way…that he’d overwhelm the economy with spending and debt. Four years later, I can’t find one person in my circle of small business owner friends voting for Obama. Not one.

            *Blue collar working class whites. Do I need to say a thing? White working class voters are about as happy with Obama as Boston Red Sox fans feel about the New York Yankees.

            *Suburban moms. The issue isn’t contraception…it’s having a job to pay for contraception. Obama’s economy frightens these moms. They are worried about putting food on the table. They fear for their children’s future.

            *Military Veterans. McCain won this group by 10 points. Romney is winning by 24 points. The more our military vets got to see of Obama, the more they disliked him.
            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
            Taken from an article months ago; imagine how the fraud’s popularity has tanked even more in the last few weeks.
            • Thanks JayJay.
              It would seem that Obama’s blatant disregard for many of those who are either consistently (D) voters or Left-leaning (I) voters has become so habitual that’s it appears to be intentional. It’s almost as though there’s a plan to alter the course of our November election.
              It’s also rather peculiar to watch the Libya, Egypt, and ME uprising unfold. For several years, it has been whispered that Obama will be dealt with by CIA, if necessary. The Libya attack sure smells like the CIA has their hands all over it. Obama touts his experience with foreign policy and he’s getting called on it now. Puppet Master is not pleased.
        • durango kidd
          Practically speaking the Second Amendment is about the only difference of substance between Obama and Romney. That difference makes Romney who is no Second Amendment supporter look like an gun toting Texan relative to Obama.
          The delta between contenders over time has been narrowing making it all too obvious even to the political novice that both horses are bought in the two horse race.
          • K2: That might be all of the difference WE need! 🙂
        • Durango Kidd.
          You said,
          Four more years of O’bummer will mean that OUR Right to Bear Arms will be challenged or terminated by Executive Order; Illegals will be allowed to overrun OUR borders again;
          indefinite detention of Americans will become law as habeas corpus is suspended; and Internet snooping by Nappy will continue unabated.
          You’re right. Tell Obama to do it now. Stop beating around the bush. That Piss Ant, SOB. If we know what is going to happen what in the hell are we waiting for?
        • @ Durango Kidd,
          You said.
          Four more years of O’bummer will mean that OUR Right to Bear Arms will be challenged or terminated by Executive Order; Illegals will be allowed to overrun OUR borders again;
          indefinite detention of Americans will become law as habeas corpus is suspended; and Internet snooping by Nappy will continue unabated.
          You’re right. Just tell Obama to do it now. I tired of that Piss Ant, SOB. Hell, if we already know what is going down, what are we waiting for? The second coming of, Christ. These politicans are going to do nothing for us until they meet resistance to thier socialist policies. Did anyone think that even as we prep they are getting stronger too.
          • Damn. I’m having a meltdown.
      7. Obama supporters are nothing but a bunch of freeloading bums, and here I thought Mitt and I couldn’t find anything we agree on. But seriously, he did touch on something that does bother me greatly. When he was talking about how people don’t want to believe that Obama is corrupt because they voted for him. I find this from both sides of the political spectrum because some people really don’t want to belive that the whole system is corrupt and keep their heads buried in the sand instead of recognizing that there is no honest candidate to choose. Also these are usually the same people that don’t realize you can vote third party, and think that Ron Paul would take us back to the days of the robber barons. They are also clueless to the fact that the days of the robber barons never ended, they just got in on the action with the fed reserve and stepped back from the public eye for the most part. No matter which of these clowns gets elected, the economy isn’t getting fixed because it’s too far gone and they will pass more unconstitutional laws to further erode our freedoms, what little we have left. Anyway, I’m rambling because it’s late and Romney is just another trumped up puppet and an empty suit. Obama is a puppet who has already spent four years dancing for his masters and a marxist.
      8. This is the most honest thing I’ve seen a Presidental Canidate say in my entire life. We are so screwed here in this country. I’m not surprised at all as well as most posting here on this site. As far as storing food and other critical supplies, you better be solid on your defensive end. If those 47 percent don’t get their freebies, they will look for them somewhere else. And that ladies and gentlemen is the zombies the DHS,MSM, and others has warned us about. No wonder why the PTB want those evil firearms. So their zombies can eat our preps and most likely us. OPSEC OPSEC OPSEC don’t say anything to your neighbors or co-workers etc.
      9. The fiscal cliff is a sham, pure fear mongering to force through policies the public doesn’t want.
        The fact is that ending the Bush rates on $250K and higher raises $70 billion a year (according to Tim Geithner), and ending all of the rates raises around $100 billion. Allowing the sequester cuts to happen is another $150 billion a year.
        The budget is around $4,500 billion of which $1,200 billion is debt. The Fed is around $6,000 billion in the hole. The fiscal cliff is meaningless in comparison and will have almost no impact.
        The short answer is the 70 million or so who actually pay taxes should simply take a year off, or max out tax deferred income, or whatever they want to minimize their taxes (and/or maximize what they cost the government) – the bond vigilantes would destroy the US government in a few months.
      10. This years elections is going to give a new meaning to the word “Fraud”!!!!!!
        You know who has no intentions in leaving the WH!
        B Aware, B Awake, B Alive
        • If it isn’t close, they can’t cheat. Vote Romney, no matter who else you support, and make sure Obama can’t squeak by.
      11. If it was leaked. He is trying to get the independents to separate themselves from the entitlement crowd.
        I dun want to be within 10 meters of them. They be stinky money grubbers!
        IMHO, it’ pretty harmless talk. Worst case, he revealed his strategy to Obammies people. Which they probably know anyway.
      12. Mittens is in with TPTB. No big secret. But I want to see him win just because I hate the liberals,Odramas, and the Chicago style cronyism that they aspire to.
        Also, I think it will be interesting as to how he is gonna do away with Obungme-Care.
        • At least Romney and his mentors were not sitting around in the late 1970s and early 1980’s like Bill Ayers and his cohorts discussing the need to kill 25 million Americans who would never accept the United States living under communism.
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2pMkkXIDrM
          • My apologies for linking from a vile antisemite pig’s youtube account. I did not notice his comments or ignorant viewpoint until it was already posted. Grathwohl’s testimony still stands on it’s own merit.
      13. Hmmm…is Romney a prepper?
        • Since he’s Mormon – then yes. Their religion requires at least years worth of preps at all times.
          As far as his comments – I have NO issue with them what so ever. He’s correct in his assessment of most Obama voters. Personally – I don’t see what the big deal is. Anyone voting for Obama can’t be swayed to vote otherwise unless that turd really screws up – and vise versa. The only minds that both of them can sway are the undecided. So whats the big deal about what he said? I find his honesty refreshing.
        • If he follows the LSD principles, he certainly is.
      14. Romney, like McCain, has said he is a ‘progressive’. I was wondering how Romney was going to lose this election for his team.
        It is the progressive’s mistake though, because the military will not listen to Obama when they try to turn them on us.
        Sometimes you’ve got to lose the battle to win the war.
      15. The media will give this more airtime, in an effort to paint Romney in a negative light, than they gave the “bitter clingers” bit 4 years ago.
      16. The fact that this country was stupid enough to vote in the likes of obama tells me we are kaput.
        • The makeup of the 131 million who voted in 2008 was markedly different. While the number of non-Hispanic white voters remained roughly the same, 2 million more blacks, 2 million more Latinos and 600,000 more Asians turned out. Compared with 2004, the voting rate for black, Asian and Hispanic voters increased by about four percentage points. The rate for whites declined by one percentage point.
          ~~~I ask, those black votes, which were NOT racist(sarc), did they make the election??~~~

      17. Seems that everybody so far needs more nails!!

        Y’all Beware! Y’all been hittin it on the head!
        Now it’s time to take a break n prep!

      18. yea right, what’s the big deal, so he said it, everybody knows it’s true

      19. and the point of all this is..?

      20. Is he talking about ending the Federal Reserve banking cartel? Is he talking about winding down the Military Industrial Complex? Or is he just talking about winning “votes”? FAIL.

      21. when Romney was talking about all those dependent on government aid to survive
        too bad he “forgot” to mention the nations largest banks and Wall Street firms
        who through their own criminal activities and bad business practices
        ran their companies into the ground and threw the country and the world into a depression
        and then were bailed out by the taxpayers
        I’m sure it was just an oversight on his part
        yeah
        this election
        things will be different
        right???
        and if you believe that
        you’ll be interested in some beautiful ocean front property I have for sale just outside of Phoenix

        • he was talking about VOTERS

      22. He simply stated what anyone who is aware of what is happening already knows. Osama has been actively increasing the numbers of people who are on welfare, have mortgages held by the goobermint, and reliant on goobermint for college loans.

        In the process Osama is reducing the number of productive citizens who actually pay the taxes that fund the goodies he gives away. He makes up the difference between income and expenditures with deficit spending and currency devaluation.

        I am no fan of either party. If Romney made a mistake here it is the mistake of telling the unvarnished truth. I would have been even more blunt. I can’t see Osama’s people trying to use this against him, since it is a truth they want to conceal from the ignorant.

        • All these things mentioned,–increasing welfare recipients, housing by govt, college debt, low-income jobs–all are steps closer to global govt by NWO.
          Make them dependent, make them poor, make them destitute to accept handouts.

      23. Let us say hey, the repub’s take the WH-H-S all of them, they control gov. In your right mind do you think they will start to do away with DHS-ED-EPA- etc. and all of these EO that Barry or who ever the HELL he is signed, and let’s not frget some of GW’s either. You think they will, if you do your F–K’N NUTS. They all are, both parties are on the same bus holding hands and sing’n The Ant’s Go Marching. All we have is each other in the up coming collaspe, oh it will for you that think it won’t, WWW3 will take care of that, or a natural disaster and let us not to forget GOD. When you see sign’s that read’s 1 billion-400 million are behind you Mohammed, and the world all over ready to explode, WWW3 is here. Be carefull, but seek out like minded people near you and start planning today on how to help one another out in the TUFF TIMES ahead. Share idea’s with the good people on this site and other sites as well, WE HAVE TO HELP ONE ANOTHER TO GET THROUGH THIS.
        Thats just me
        Live Free and Stand Tall

      24. He’s out of touch. Sorry. That doesn’t mean Obama is any better. Romney is just so far removed from the trenches, he doesn’t get it. Since a lot of the jobs out there are low-paying, it’s not only the lazy or ignorant folks who qualify for assistance or even need that help. It could be your average guy who’s worked the past six years for less than $15 an hour because it’s either that or unemployment.

        Over-regulation of business, a hostile sb atmosphere, undercutting by other countries, and even the big-box takeovers where some big place like Walmart comes into a town, drops prices for a spell, forces out the little grocers, and then raises prices after those have gone. . . GREED for the win???? Sorry I hear “China this” and “China that” a lot, but I can tell you most folks lost their job not from Chinese business tactics, but good old AMERICAN companies that still bear an American name but they moved production to Mexico. They blame Unions, but since I don’t know enough about that I’ll hold my opinion.

        Observation I’ve noticed – People are not getting work, so folks flock to bartering their future away by taking out inaffordable student loans in the hope that the education will improve employment chances. Is this not the current prop for a large chunk of the stock market? Tuition climbs. People think they have to do it in order to survive or to get jobs. (Some live off student loans when unemployment runs out). It reminds me of those who took out crazy housing loans that they couldn’t pay back or those who got an ARM that was quickly resold, bundled, sold, and climbed in response.

      25. Well he’s only telling the truth. the only barry supporters I know expect life to be handed to them.
        I dont think mitt is the right commie for the job though.

      26. “In a time of universal deceit – telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” — George Orwell

        Everything fed us by the media today is but for one purpose: to divide us for the coming conflagration.

      27. Satori

        Why in the world would anyone on this site even consider Romney ..never mind Obama?

        He’s financed by the same oligarchs as Obama.

        He’s, as Charlie Mcgrath states..red team vs Obama’s blue team..

        This is all a major distraction for fools..period.

        No one is going to save us at all.

        Let’s get back to practical solutions for surviving the on going geo political /financial storm..

        More articles on self defense.
        more articles on food storage and canning.

        We already understand the end game by these fools and the farce of the electoral circus..

        possee

        possee

        • Possee, Because with Romney in the White House we MIGHT have a few more years to prep! With Obama, time is short!
          We ALL know that a collapse is coming, and are prepping like crazy, but my family, as I’m sure many others, needs more time, and a Romney win MIGHT just give us that…

          • SML, I absolutely agree with your points, except for the last one: it may not be good to have “more time”. It is also more time for Criminal Bastards to position themselves better.

            We missed out chance. Ron Paul could have absolutely reversed course. People don’t believe it, but, there are a few executive orders that could be repealed and things would, to some extent, *SNAP* back. It would be rough but not as rough as we’re going to get when we hit the bottom of the canyon after going off this cliff.

            I know what you are saying, but, the train is going over the cliff with The Kenyan or with Mitt. All the Criminal Bastards are sitting in First Class in the very first car of this train. Do you want Mitt to slow the train down and announce that we’re going over the cliff so that these Criminal Bastards can vacate their seats and force *YOU* to travel first class to the bottom of the canyon? No! Sooner is better. If you’re not prepped yet, get a move on.

            Faster is better, I do believe. I still have another 20 gal of fuel to stuff but I’m getting there.

            One thing I’m short on is medical supplies. Anybody got a good list I can use as a shopping list?

        • Then Who???
          We on this site don’t need or require a leader. We don’t want somebody who will ” help” us. We just want the guy or gal who does the least damage, and stays the hell out of our business. At least Romney has some admin. skills. He at least “ran” something, and was sucessfull at it. And I don’t think he would choose a cabinet of “lessers”. The best managers hire the smartest people, and are secure with that.
          We don’t flip out or orgasm over a leader, like the Progressives. They need somebody to hold their hand when they cross the street.
          We just want somebody to do the job, do it well, leave us alone, then go home.

          • Who the hell would “thumb down” that comment???

      28. Satori,

        You hit the nail on the head. Republican / Democrat = No Difference in the end.

        They will try to kick the can down the road a little longer but in the end it will be the same result. I am using the down fall of the USSR as a blue print for what we are going to see. Same thing with them that we are going through. We are just doing it better and able to keep it going for a while longer.

        We already are in a depression. They jusat want to refer to it as the great recession. No you won’t see soup lines (at this time) but the food stamp program is there and probaly has the same rate of participation as those who depeneded on the soup lines. Agaain, we learned and know how to play this off better that the Russians did and or how the government handled the depression.

        It’s all about how you paint the picture and through history our politicians and banksters have learned how to use the media to mollify a bunch of losers into feeling good about themselves and make the sucessful ones feel bad that they don’t do enough.

        If there is a next time for elections I think I will run for office as a Tea Party Democrat.

      29. Romney hit the nail on the head. The lazy crowd will ALWAYS vote for the party that will ensure they can remain lazy for life and, they have no interest in hearing about lower taxes nor, do they have any interest in being put to work…which is a foreign idea to them anyways.
        Why would they elect a guy who wants to provide something they don’t want and, have never wanted…IE jobs…when the other guy is promising to fluff up the couch cushions and buy their beer while they play the X-box all day?

        If Obama wins and, continues to drag this country in the same direction, you preppers might just get to find out if you’ve prepped enough.
        And after watching the beginnings and ends of the Yugoslav civil war firsthand, I can assure most of you that you haven’t prepped enough to endure a drawn out crises or, be able to defend what you DO have from those who will come looking to take it.

        Maybe Romney will fix things…maybe he won’t.
        Either way, his election will likely buy you more time to get your ducks in a row before the S really does HTF. If he doesent cure the problem, he’ll likely postpone it better than the freefall into revolt Obama and his ilk are pushing us into.

      30. Hey Mac

        How about guest posts by fellow run n gun reviewers (shtf types) such as Nutnfancy Project,Yeager, or team sootchoo?

        possee

      31. I agree Possee and Brian

        “Let’s get back to practical solutions for surviving the on going geo political /financial storm..

        More articles on self defense.
        more articles on food storage and canning.”

        Mac
        are ya listening ???

        • Most of the native american survival techs I know were passed to me by my grandfather and great grandfather. This site has some good info.

          http://www.wildernesscollege.com/wilderness-survival-tips-2.html

          Unfortunatly I can not pass along any of my Military training to you all, withotu being in person. ( no don’t ask im antisocial 🙂

        • Seconded!

      32. The main point(for me) is imagining what will happen when that 47% loses whatever aid they are receiving, or the aid doesn’t come close to buying what they need.
        No matter who gets elected, the status quo will win in Nov. Don’t wait until then.

      33. Truth in politics is fatal. If the people prefer socialism over liberty, then they will get plenty of change, but little hope. Ron Paul can talk about slashing the budget 1 trillion the first year and ending entitlements, and still manages to draw the young voters. The GOP messed up big time in Tampa when they black balled RP. These voters will now go for Gary Johnson.

      34. I hate politicians.
        I hate mornings.
        The two should not be combined.

      35. There should be a choice of “none of the above” on all ballots. If that option wins, we have a new election with new candidates. This country would get an acceptable outcome no matter how long it takes. The Obama attempt to reinstate the NDAA attack on U.S. citizens rights to free speech, after a lower court ruled it unconstitutional, shows the true danger of the increasing imperial presidency. Romney is an Israel first puppet anxious to start bombing Iran. The endless wars and a crackdown on free speech are the result of the ongoing assault on the “truthers” about 9-11. The majority do not believe the bogus official lies. Only those with one eye and half sense fall for the bullshit.

        • Where can you possibly get the idea that Romney is anxious to start bombing Iran????

      36. I’m still voting for Dr. Ron Paul. When I die it can be said, “He never voted for the lesser of two evils”. They both are going to screw us, the difference is Romney will use Vaseline and smile and the mulatto won’t but you get screwed either way.

        • Amen to that. I to am weary of voting for the lesser of two weevils. If Barrack Hussein Obama wins the unwinding will be hastened. If Mitt Romney wins the unwinding will just take a wee bit longer. At this juncture it all needs to unwind and reset.

        • Mark, I too like Ron Paul but will be voting for Romney. I don’t believe Ron Paul will get enough votes and I want to make sure that my vote counts because Barry has to go!

      37. this will end badly for romney. There are way too many sound bites that the left can use from the comments. I believe that some (very few) of the 47% he was talking about would have voted for romney. The left will take little snip-its from the comments and destroy him in attack ads. Remember the ads are meant for the sheeple, not for awake people like we have here. The sheep are easily herded around to where TPTB want them. Not that romney would be much better than what we have now, but he would afford us more time to prep.

        • There are far, far more damaging sound bytes & videos of Obama, but they are buried by the MSM. If they do get out somehow by the alternative media, they are ridiculed by hollywood and other communists so badly that the average apolitical Joe will never believe them.

      38. He said it, He needs to run with it now. Use Obama Fairness. Is it fair for 53% of Americans the carry the load for all Americans? Is it fair to pay nothing and receive 99% on the benefits? Is it fair for me and my family to pay more because the government has made entitlements more beneficial then the median average household income?

        This 47% does not include normal social security retirement benefits, but does include SSDI.

        Forget about the rich there are not enough rich people, if we took all their wealth to run the country for more then a month.

        What he said is based in truth and fact. America can no longer handle the truth!!!

        • “Forget about the rich there are not enough rich people, if we took all their wealth to run the country for more then a month.”

          Patriot One, you are so right on with that line that I needed to repeat it. Everyone needs to see the video that went around a few months ago that detailed this. The govt could take every dime from every citizen in the US with over $250,000 in wealth, but it would only fund the govt for a few months. What would they do the next year when all of that wealth is gone??? The only thing they could, Genocide.

          • This is the problem and I think most Citizens actually think the rich are as big as the economy. Even though the government debt now exceeds GDP most don’t know where money comes from and fiat printing what we need is okay.

            We are in deep shit, but because all the countries are now printing, inflation as reported will stay in check. All bets are off when it comes to metal prices, food and fuel though.

      39. Nothing wrong with his comments. We ought to be ashamed of ourselves that we have allowed ourselves to want to suck the tits of the US Government. And politicians should be ashamed that they have created, exploited and cater to this new norm.

        I grew as a welfare kid in the 70’s. I remember one of my HS teachers encouraging me never to be a parasite on society. It worked because when I graduated I took a minimum wage job in NY and have never taken a penny from the State (FL) or the Federal Government.

        • Rodster
          I was the same way my mom was on welfare and food stamps when I was a kid. I swore I would never do that, I was a single mom and I worked two and three jobs to make ends meet.Now I am self employedand have been for the last ten years. And no matter what obama says I did it myself. We have made it to easy to work the system when I was a kid you had the food stamps you had to tear out, every one in line saw you were on food stamps so embarrassing. We have taken away the embarrassment factor and made it way to easy. No incentive to try to get off.

          • You didn’t build that!

            Hahahaha! What an idiot.

            Your pride in yourself and your accomplishments, deservedly, show in this message. Yes! We have taken the shame away.

            You’re different inside. You broke away. Many of us here are different inside.

            The fact is, those comments by The Kenyan shows what his real feelings are about the relationship between government, business and success.

            LET THE RESET BEGIN!

      40. And I’ve been a small business owner the last 15 years.

        • ” You didn’t build that”!!

      41. On election day, stay home. Some games aren’t worth being played, and sometimes the only way to win is not to play.

        • Which Obama office do you work out of?

        • akvalmet30
          Please vote otherwise you make it easy for Barry.

      42. I agree; there’s nothing wrong with his comments. An empire ends when the people vote themselves benefits with other people’s money. Unfortunately, other people’s money eventually runs out.

      43. I love this!! Finally a politician that tells the truth. Almost half of this country are slackers or parasites! When do we change welfare so we don’t keep perpetuating the problem. We have almost five generations of welfare parasites. We pay for their food, housing, transportation and we even pay for the abortions or the babies they keep. Hell, we’re even paying for their medical and their drugs (legal or otherwise). We give them cell phones!!! One hundred years ago most of these people would have found a job or starved to death. I not sure if we have done the right thing by allowing the problem to grow. Go Romney!!!

      44. I don’t see the contriversy in Romney’s comments….those are the reasons I am voting for him.

      45. This is the most impressive I have seen Romney.

        Unfortunately, when such a huge percentage of voters make their decision based on what benefits they can get from government, there is little hope for freedom. I think our future is already sealed, and that it will require collapse to end the current system of plunder and control.

        Most of the 47% Romney talks about live in urban areas. I think that is where most of the chaos will occur when the break comes, and that is where the death rate will be highest.

      46. Still ‘buying-in’ to the false left/right, Republican/Democrat, liberal/conservative paradigm are we??? Both sides are self-centered, self-serving and self-seeking. Opposite sides of the same coin. They seek only to further their personal financial interests ….. and fuck the rest of us. No prison gang rape could ever be as brutal as the ‘rape-job’ that the PYB have planned for the rest of us. No slip-n’-slide for us!!!!

        I have to agree with the previous posts suggesting that all this political BS should be avoided on this site and our efforts concentrated on getting prepared for what we all know is headed our way.

        Time is running out for all of us. God Bless & the best of luck to you and your family.

        • I agree

      47. Interesting censorship.

      48. Romney is 100% correct. The Dems have cultivated this dependency for generations. The working people had best wake up. Barry,the imposter, is out buying his job using YOUR money. This man and his entire administration are nothing but thieves and liars.
        Glad to hear someone realizes this. These 47% are nothing but leeches!

      49. People can criticize the poor all they want, calling them all lazy entitlement freaks.You are overlooking the reality of the planned destruction of our nation through massive job loss and suppression of wages. Do you expect people to starve to death if work isn’t available? I would rather see food stamp aid than trillions spent throughout the world enriching the already obscenely greedy corporations. I am a Vietnam vet on VA disability pension trying to live on $1000 a month. It’s a tough minimal existance. I also get $17 a month in SNAP. I’m all for spending U.S. taxpayer dollars on Americans.

        • Aljamo,I thank you for your service in the military and don’t begrudge you your disability pension. But it’s my taxpayer dollars that pay for the food stamps and other freebies that the freeloaders get. I just don’t have anymore to give.I worked in a system, where I saw people applying for Va benefits, abusing ss, getting food stamps, medical, etc. Oh the stories I could tell you all.

      50. I stumbled across this site through a link from post on a fishing site and have been lurking for a few months trying to get a feel for this place. I find this place interesting yet I don’t agree with most of the comments. Some of you are a one trick pony but entertaining none the less. You seem to be grasping for answers in a strange and confusing world and it’s understandable when none are being offered. I hope you find the answer.

        I was recently accused of being a prepper. I laughed and had to look into it and realized that I lack the paranoia to be a real prepper. I do a lot of the things that preppers do, after living through an ice storm and not having power to my house for a couple of weeks, I wired it up with a generator. We’re on well water, my primary heating is a wood stove, I garden, fish, hunt and preserve my excess bounty. I go mushrooming and have recently taken up learning about the wild edible plants in my area. I hike, backpack and go on long camp outs, I’m geared up for it. Hell if you looked at my man room, you’d think you’re in a sporting goods store. I go out into the woods and set up trail cams and learn the animals in my area. I do this because I enjoy the outdoors and I enjoy the flavors of wild foods and the flavor of my own efforts. Through hunting I’ve learned map reading and how to use a compass, start a fire without matches, build an emergency shelter and a few other skills to keep me alive for a few nights. I’ve also learned that I’m not a survivalist, it takes a different skill set. I’ve learned enough to know how little I know.

        Now for the article, Mitt’s dumb, anyone that’s running for office that thinks that anything they say will be kept quite is going to have a rude awakening. Just like that princess that thought that flashing her boobs wouldn’t hit the press. The stupidity of some people that are in the spotlight never surprises me. There will be more stupidity and that’s guaranteed.

        • Rick, thanks for joining the conversation!

      51. How can anyone possibly stand by Romney’s statements? The statement is COMPLETELY FALSE:

        http://www.businessinsider.com/the-worst-thing-mitt-romney-said-in-that-leaked-video-2012-9

        I had some respect for this website and read it on a weekly basis but how can you possibly stand by Romney’s statement as being anything other than a complete lie?

        Also for those of you who say Romney is a good businessman – Where is this coming from? Romney has been a horrid businessman who used vulture capitalism which is really state-funded piracy to flip businesses and sell them for a profit just before they go belly up. This kind of business relies on the Federal Reserve to make huge loans to companies like Bain Capital who then leverage that money 10 times over and go out and do hostile takeovers of companies that have actually be grown organically. How can you possibly think this man is a good businessman? He is corrupt to the core…

        • Just to clarify, it’s Romney that’s standing by Romney’s comments…

        • Business Insider is an Obama mouthpiece site.

        • 46% of people in 2011 paid no federal income tax. They paid other taxes, such as sales tax, but they paid no federal income tax. I paid federal income tax, so I am subsidizing those people. Over half the federal expense is entitlements. Regardless of why those people didn’t pay federal income tax, the fact that they don’t have to pay means that they don’t care how much taxes are or how much they may get and waste, such as buying cigarettes and beer with the food stamp money. And don’t tell me they don’t. In a past life I worked in a convenience store. Drunks would come in the store with a $1 food stamp, buy a piece of 2 cent candy, and then buy a pint of cheap wine with the change.

          There are “now hiring” signs all over my town, but there aren’t enough people who can read that will get up from the TV and games long enough to apply. Even the convenience stores are offering much more than minimum wage to try to attract workers.

          I can’t even get any local builders to come and work on my house. I have been trying for 9 months now and can’t get anyone for any amount of money. The last town I lived in was the same way. I couldn’t find anybody at all for any amount of money that would build me a sun room.

          Obviously, “Business Insider” doesn’t have the brightest or most diligent researchers and writers.

      52. Satori, possee and others here are some practical solutions from products around the house and good books:

        Drinking two glasses of Gatorade can relieve headache pain almost immediately-without the unpleasant side effects caused by traditional pain relievers.

        Colgate Toothpaste makes an excellent salve for burns.

        Before you head to the drugstore for a high-priced inhaler filled with mysterious chemicals, try chewing on a couple of curiously strong Altoids peppermints. They’ll clear up your stuffed nose.

        Achy muscles from a bout of the flu? Mix 1 tablespoon horseradish in 1 cup of olive oil. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes, then apply it as a massage oil for instant relief for aching muscles.

        Got a sore throat? Just mix 1/4 cup of vinegar with 1/4 cup of honey and take 1 tablespoon six times a day. The vinegar kills the bacteria.

        Cure urinary tract infections with Alka-Seltzer. Just dissolve two tablets in a glass of water and drink it at the onset of the symptoms. Alka-Seltzer begins eliminating urinary tract infections almost instantly-even though the product was never advertised for this use.

        Honey remedy for skin blemishes…… Cover the blemish with a dab of honey and place a Band-Aid over it. Honey kills the bacteria, keeps the skin sterile, and speeds healing. Works overnight.

        Listerine therapy for toenail fungus: Get rid of unsightly toenail fungus by soaking your toes in Listerine Mouthwash. The powerful antiseptic leaves your toenails looking healthy again.

        Easy eyeglass protection… To prevent the screws in eyeglasses from loosening, apply a small drop of Maybelline Crystal Clear Nail Polish to the threads of the screws before tightening them.

        Cleaning liquid that doubles as bug killer… If menacing bees, wasps, hornets, or yellow jackets get in your home and you can’t find the insecticide, try a spray of Formula 409.. Insects drop to the ground instantly.

        Smart splinter remover: Just pour a drop of Elmer’s Glue-All over the splinter, let dry, and peel the dried glue off the skin. The splinter sticks to the dried glue.

        Hunt’s Tomato Paste boil cure. Cover the boil with Hunt’s Tomato Paste as a compress. The acids from the tomatoes soothe the pain and bring the boil to a head.

        Balm for broken blisters… To disinfect a broken blister, dab on a few drops of Listerine, a powerful antiseptic.

        Vinegar to heal bruises… Soak a cotton ball in white vinegar and apply it to the bruise for 1 hour. The vinegar reduces the blueness and speeds up the healing process.

        Quaker Oats for fast pain relief…. it’s not for breakfast any more! Mix 2 cups of Quaker Oats and 1 cup of water in a bowl and warm in the microwave for 1 minute, cool slightly, and apply the mixture to your hands for soothing relief from arthritis pain.

        Y’all Beware! Want more read – The Doctors book of Home Remedies, The Wellness Encyclopedia of Food and Nutrition, The World’s Greatest Treasury of Health Secrets.

        • @Y’all Beware!
          I love this list! I had not thought of the smart plinter remover!
          Great ideas.
          I have also used Listerine, make sure it has Thymol in it, to kill head lice!
          Saturate dry hair until it drips, leave on four minutes wash out, keep away from eyes and nit pick and pick. Following up with satuating your hair with olive oil and sleeping in a shower cap overnight will suffocate what is left and makes picking easier. You will have the healthiest shiniest hair in town!

        • Y’all

          Thanks for the home remedies indeed.

          Have you tried any of the above btw?

          This is exactly what I commented about.

          possee

      53. Someone needs to call out this dead beats. Get off your arse and get to work! Thanks, Mitt.

        • Hey David!
          Would you like to offer my son in law, that lost his arm in a tree limb grinding accident years ago a job?
          He refused to take disability and strapped on his claw, tied his chainsaw to his belt, put on his cleats and kept climbing those trees and taking them down for years more.
          Now he is over worn and a little broken and much older. Don’t you dare call him a dead beat because the ’employment security’ training people said he is suited for a job as and usher in a theater and there are only something like 756 of those jobs in the nation.
          He gets to be the stay at home dad while my daughter works and he loves it, however, a family of five on one income does not do well.
          As I said, got a job in mind for him?
          Last I heard, there was a shortage of jobs for able bodied, young and educated people.
          What about the older disadvantaged?

          • Yo HalfKin –

            How about just older without the physical disability? I was recently informed that the company that I was making application to could hire two or three recent college graduates for the money that I wanted. No they wouldn’t have the same Project Management experience or ability ……. but they will work for less than half of my customary wages.

            I usually help out a family member in their small ice cream store. If I didn’t help out a day or two each week making and serving ice cream for their customers, then these poor folks would never get a day off. Besides, it beats sitting around the house and getting better acquainted with the ladies on the ‘View’.

            Every day that I work for them, I get at least 3 – 5 people coming in and asking for work. Some of these folks come into the shop wearing suits & ties and have very impressive resumes. They are looking for ANYTHING in the way of employment.

            Then there are the college students who I know graduated LAST year. They are back again this year going further and further into student loan debt trying to get their Master’s Degree in hopes that this will make them more “employable”.

            This shitty economy is all done by design. They have to first completely destroy the economy of the United States in order to usher in their ‘wildest-wet-dream’ of a one world economy ………. under their control, of course.

            I once saw a cartoon that depicted a group of men gathered around another man who was standing on a box of some sort. They were outside a big chain-link fence in front of a building that was identified as the Acme Widget Co.

            The man standing on the box was saying; “OK, I am bid $2.75 an hour to do that job. Do I hear $2.50 an hour?”

            This is exactly where we are presently headed. I, for one, don’t intend to work for 3 fish heads and a small bowl of rice a day. The PTB can stick their “Globally Competitive” crap right back up the hole that they fished it out of.

            Soon boys & girls, VERY soon. The ‘good’ times are almost here. Better get ready while you still have a chance. God Bless & good luck to all.

            • Hey MadMarkie – so sad, so true…

      54. I am very dissappointed in Obama. However,only a moron would vote for this mormon. I tell everybody to use their vote for the third choice Ron Paul or someone else.Everyone tells me by doing this obama will win. I don’t believe so—I still believe in miracles. If we can get someone,not a repub or dem in the presidency it will scare the hell out of congress. An executive order by someone like this could make taking lobbyist money an imprisonable offense. We still might turn the herd before it goes off the cliff.

        • moman, you are so wrong. If you “waste” your vote, you will surely put Barry back in office.

      55. Although he is Preaching to the Choir, its time somebody spoke up for the Real Working Class, the Ones who pay the Bills..There are more people In the Wagon than pulling the Wagon! this………………………
        can”t and won”t go on forever..People are coming to realize, we are doomed to fail…Just like the Politicians of both Parties that has brought us to destruction! Prep Pray Train..with God”s help we are our Own salvation!
        Semper Fi

      56. If the candidate is of any “Party” affiliation..ya cant trust em..and some of the other ones outside of that..probably cant trust em either..

        its the old saying..if their lips are moving..its a lie

      57. He told the truth and he stood behind his words.

      58. Hey Mitt as one of those 10 % independents who is more conservative than than ron Paul, you won’t get my vote until you point out the emperor has no clothes on. By that I mean he is a Imposter with fake ssn selective service no. birth cirtificate, who destroyed the middle east with his practicing Jihad on america with his Muslim Brothers and also the fast and furious scandel he has not even answered a question about. i could go on and on , but i understand it would be more realistic to expect Obamma to resign for incompetence.So I’m writing in The four horsemen of the appocolypse!

      59. I think the key word here is “dependency”. If a person is out of school, out from under momma’s apron, and not totally disabled; they should not be dependent upon anyone else, including and especially the gov. The likelihood of a republican prez and house/senate will more than likely dissolve about half of all payments to EBT/SSI recepients. The majority will probably be cut out completely. The other scenario is Odrama stays in and the whole thing collapses along with the dollar by spring of 2013, or before.

        In lieu of current events, we have suspended all Christmas gratuities for adult family members and friends. The only store bought items will be for their kids. We just got finished with canning pints of apple butter sauce for the adults. They have to provide their own biscuits.

        • I started doing that last year.
          Only $ spent was on the grand children.
          Apple butter is the way to go if you have access to free apples. A bit of sugar and cinamon and I let it bake in the oven for days. On very low. Off in the morning when I go to work. Back on at night, all night. I stir it every couple of hours, except when sleeping.
          You know it is fall when the house smells of cinamon and apples.
          This year though the apples are just now getting ripe, everything was late, and that works for me too.

      60. Like what I say or not, Obama is jamming America headfirst into the Cloward – Piven strategy for economic collapse.
        Don’t believe it? Then, you’ve obviously not been paying attention over the last 3 years.

        For those of you who don’t know what that is, Cloward – Piven is an idea dreamt up by a pair of neo communists who sought to collapse the American system by encouraging as many people as possible to hop onto the entitlement bandwagon and abuse it to the fullest until the government is no longer able to afford it…which they imagined would result in the “revolution” that leftists always dream of happening.

        Whats the latest number of people on foodstamps?
        47 million?
        And, if you listen to your radio, you hear…advertisements from the Obama administration that encourage people to get on foodstamps!

        Do the math. A trillion and a half annual deficit, a “jobs policy” that chases away jobs and, commercials imploring folks to get on welfare and further burden the system.

        Who in their right mind would lead a country in that manner if he DID NOT want the obvious bad results?

      61. Yes it is true. As an example, here in Louisiana we recently went through a huricane. It was interesting to see all the people lined up for free stuff and money. Shame shame—
