There is a paradigm shift coming and it is about to rewrite everything we know about economics, human labor, and government dependence.
Earlier this week Amazon launched its first Amazon Go store, which allows a customer to walk in, grab the items they want, and simply walk out. Everything is tracked utilizing RFID chips, so the second you step out of the store Amazon knows exactly what you’ve purchased and automatically charges your account:
Amazon Go is a system that marries physical stores with advanced algorithms and sensors to eliminate the need for a typical store checkout. Instead of packing all the things you need into a basket or cart and then dragged it through a tedious checkout process, you just grab whatever you need and walk out of the store.
It sounds like a shaky concept at first, but only until you see just how advanced the technology really is. When you first walk into the store, you use your smartphone to open you virtual shopping cart. As you make your way around the store, a vast system of sensor tracks where you are, what you pick up, and what you take with you. The system even knows if you pick something up and then put it back, and will only charge you for things you actually intended to buy.
Amazon’s latest move is simply the next evolution designed to make human labor obsolete.
As Mish Shedlock recently pointed out at Mish Talk, the transition to automated systems like Amazon Go, as well as technologies like self-driving cars and long-haul trucks, has been fast tracked.
We’re no longer talking decades, but rather, a few years before we start to see the direct effects on the labor market:
Once again competition is the driving force that will guarantee success no later than a 2022-2024 time frame. By the end of that period, if not much sooner, long-haul truck jobs will vanish.
…
Perhaps drivers will be needed for final delivery in cities and remote locations, but the need for long-haul interstate and major state highway drivers will vanish.
…
My statement that “millions of long haul truck driving jobs will vanish in the 2022-2024 time frame” is likely way off on the low side if one counts Uber, taxi, and chauffeur driven vehicles.
Take a look at Uber’s goal once again: “replace Uber’s more than 1 million human drivers with robot drivers—as quickly as possible.”
That’s just Uber. And those jobs will vanish. All of them. What about Lyft? Taxis?
We’re talking tens of millions of jobs. And they’ll be gone within half a decade’s time.
The immediate response to such revelations is that there will be widespread societal upheaval.
How will displaced human workers feed their families or keep roofs over their heads?
The answer, according to Silicon Valley, which is driving the new paradigm full force, is quite simple and has been detailed in the highly rated documentary Obsolete from Aaron and Melissa Dykes (available free for Amazon Prime subscribers).
It’s called “universal basic income,” or UBI, and essentially means that every member of society will be given a paycheck to meet their most basic needs.
Aaron Dykes of TruthStream Media explains what’s coming in Obsolete:
Basically, a general idleness, an aimlessness of people who could become revolutionary, who could be subjected to civil unrest… who will probably be on social welfare and benefits for the rest of their lives and have nothing else to look forward to.
That’s the direction that the people in this country are actually headed towards.
…
Just a week and a half after Bilderberg’s June 2016 meeting it was reported that [Silicon Valley tech startup incubator] Y-Combinator was running a basic income experiment.
Billed as the “Social Vaccine of the 21st Century,” in Oakland, California where some 100 families were chosen to receive $1000 or $2000 a month in order to collect valuable date in the pilot on how to implement, manage and scale further UBI incentives.
Obsolete Documentary Trailer:
The trend should be clear. Bilderberg members from around the world are preparing their governments and citizens for the inevitable.
Robotics and artificial intelligence technology are advancing at a pace that will soon replace tens of millions of jobs in key economic sectors that include food service, grocery, transportation and customer service.
What the end result will be is anyone’s guess, but we suspect the transition could destabilize the global economic system, complete with violence and revolution.

Did someone say violence? Yea that’s coming alright. If you ain’t ready for that you are really fucked.
Almost eighteen months ago someone here told us that robots and data like androids were just around the corner and would eliminate millions of jobs.
He also said that in that environment, universal basic income would be essential for the masses to survive. Who was that Masked Man ???
Yes. Its in the archives. 🙂
Yep DK, I seem to remember reading something along those lines…
I think that people who don’t own four basic items are going to be really screwed.
1 Property. My place has a 3.5% assumable VA mortgage in it, with a bunch of equity. Owning property is likely to become the new dividing line between rich and poor. If you don’t own now, stop whatever you are doing and go buy property.
2 PM’s. Owning and storing the “real deal” (not paper stocks), in your safe means a real store if savings for your family. Save some cash as well, and a month or two of bills on the bank, but keep your big nest egg in your immediate possession
3 Good credit rating. Don’t waste credit buying useless junk like electronics or dinners out. If you need to use credit, then use it to buy needed items like firearms, big Berkeys, and so forth. Then pay the bills on time. Pay the debt off. Get one of those two year zero interest cards to transfer to if needed but get the hell out of debt and keep a good rating, 700 or above.
4 Good job with benefits. I’m in construction. For many years I figured I would never join a union. I hated unions. Finally, I realized that by working for less money, the only person not benefiting was me. I joined up, immediately doubled my wages, got paid health insurance and retirement. I should say that I’m not in a public sector union, it’s a private sector union and our stuff is funded. We compete on the open market against non union construction outfits and we win our share. I’m not even saying that others should join a union, what I am saying is that you cannot afford to take any less than top dollar for your work. There is very little time left, and doing discounted work now is very damaging to the person doing it. Get a job with paid benefits and work like hell to keep it. That’s what I’m saying. Outwork everyone else. Be very aggressive about getting pay raises. No one cares about your situation other than you.
There is a massive blood letting on the way. I can see as little as one year, maybe as many as three or four years until it gets here, but certainly no longer than that. Those who failed to own property and build themselves a solid financial base are going to get prison raped worse than anything they ever imagined. Renters and people working low skill low pay jobs need to start sizing up refrigerator boxes….
Nice to see you back Jonny V. I got a new zero rate card and asked for a small increase based upon my prior experience with the bank.
After a review of my income, credit, and previous history with them, they gave me a credit line ten times the amount requested. True “helicopter money”.
I use it for everything and the banksters pay me. 🙂
I’m waiting for our old buddy Zukadu to show up….
You got his email right ???
Don’t think I have it. Had to get phone replaced a while back. Lost my contact list. What a pain in the ass that is…
The Next Domino Falls As Predicted… Here’s What Comes Next
“A populist tsunami is washing through Europe. It will drastically change the Continent’s political landscape in a way not seen since before World War II. This wave will flush away traditional “mainstream” parties and usher in anti-establishment populists who want to leave the euro currency and the European Union.”
“The pro-EU Prime Minister promptly announced his resignation after the crushing defeat.
A surging populist party waits in the wings. They’re now likely a matter of months away from taking power and then holding a new referendum on whether Italy should dump the euro and go back to the lira.
If that happens, Italians will likely vote to leave.
Without Italy, the euro currency would likely disintegrate. Without the euro, the whole European Union—the world’s largest economy—would likely come unglued.
Italy’s referendum is likely just the first of many dominos to fall.
Here are the ones that will come next…
A Banking Crisis
“The triumph of the “No” side will also accelerate the crises in the Italian banking system, which was already on the verge of collapse.”
“Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (BMPS) will likely be the spark that sets it off.
BMPS—Italy’s third-largest and most troubled bank—is likely to announce in the coming days whether it has successfully raised enough capital to remain solvent. … If the capital raising efforts fail, there’s only one way to keep BMPS—and the entire Italian banking system—from collapsing … a bail-in.”
The Super Bubble in Italian Government Bonds Will Burst
“Italy has one of the most indebted governments in the world. It’s borrowed over $2.4 trillion, and its debt-to-GDP ratio is north of 130%. (For comparison, the US debt-to-GDP ratio is 104%.)”

Your thnnkiig matches mine – great minds think alike!
All we got left are service jobs and those are going to be filled by bots. Hope your kids know how to make stuff.
Like I said many times, if you want a good job in the future be a robotics tech. Don’t waste your money on some bullshit education, get something that will be in demand. Mechanical engineering will be good too. Or just get a degree in liberal arts lol.
Here is what else is Wiping out Americans. NO MO FREE MONEY… Just a few articles ago I said the Fed is to raise rates on Dec 14th as reported by Marketslant, and that banks already have been raising interest rates in anticipation. Well here are some numbers that are Bone Chilling.
“Mortgage rates have jumped 49 BPS in the 3 weeks following the election, cutting the population of refinanceable borrowers from 8.3 million immediately prior to the election, to a total of just 4 million, matching a 24-month low set back in July 2015”
Link: ht tp://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-12-06/dramatic-impact-surging-rates-housing-and-refis-one-chart
So more than half of the people wanting Mortgages or refinancing before the election, are now shut out just due to 1/2 point in mortgage interest rate increases. Interest rate increases will crush the masses with more of their money going to interest, instead of the Principal to pay the debt off. Also shoppers, buy all your Xmas gifts before Dec 14th, as after that date the interest on purchases will rise, if your plastic rate is tied to the Fed rate which many are.
Americans are screwed anyway we look at it. Everybody needs to just stop paying on all debts, all credit cards and all mortgages. Screw the Banks.. The banks will get crushed and dissolve, and we get to keep our stuff. How do you collect 300 Million Americans stuff?? Wont happen, and debt will be wiped off the books. We need to follow the lead by Iceland who jailed the bankers and wiped about $25K off of everybody’s home mortgages with a stroke of the pen.
I also read where Time-Democrats are telling their crybabes to stop paying all Federal Taxes to hurt Trump. Maybe this is time to Stop paying for everything, from taxes to banking debts and keep our money for ourselves.
How about, Go out and max out your credit cards and Buy as much Silver as you can, then stiff the Banks. You will be rewarded several times over with wealth. The Government does it daily, maxing out their credit card and just keeps raising their limits. Lets follow their lead. I am ready and have had it with subsidizing the Rogue Govn’t, Freeshit Army, endless wars, and predator banks that ripped me off in the past decades.
What do you think?
I think that if you had been reading my posts for the last two months or so, that you would have come to those conclusions sooner, rather than later.
Just saying. 🙂
I work in InfoSec and have a background from the AF to build on. The wife is in medicine, the kids own stables. whatever happens, we are golden 🙂
No burger flippers or Sociology majors in THIS family.
Tell ya what, get into “Auto Mechanics/ Car Repair ASE Certified,” both Guys and Girls. As people will no longer be able to afford or buy new cars on credit, they will drive their exiting cars for many years longer, especially if they are paid off. So cars keep getting older, wearing out, and need more repairs. How many vehicles are there per household in America on average? 2+ ?
In the scum elites minds they will reset the financial world with a cashless system and pay the serfs a living wage as long as the serf is obedient and docile. I’m neither. With my last breath I’ll spit on the scum that have stolen our children’s futures. Hope y’all like hell cause you are going there.
Won;t just be here either,it’ll be planet wide. More like a few billion jobs gone. A way will be found to get rid of the humans no doubt. Its all about the money folks!

What did Kissinger say, “Useless eaters”? Useless. How long with TPTB feed the useless?
Does life imitate art or does art imitate life? I see both George Orwell’s 1984 and The Borg of Star Trek as intended templets of the future. As a good friend of mine who is 85 years old said, “Its a good time to be old”.
What about this theory? What does government do when you agree to take “their” money via any social program? They enforce their regulations, since it is “their” money, you have to jump through their hoops. Marry that with the views of the Georgia guide stones/overpopulation fearmongers/useless eater elitists. Do you see population controls enforced on people who enroll in the program? Yes, you can have two kids, but we only pay you for a family of 4. Yes, we orchestrated the situation that caused you to lose your job, but look! We are here to save you! When the government provides everything for you, they get to have their say in how you live your life.
I can see an rise in sustainable living tools and things that help the individual provide everything they need for themselves to survive and become their own mini manufacturer. That will be the antithesis of the UBI.
Two kids for the “Useless Eaters” ??? You are being rather generous aren’t you, Rene ???
Sterilization is more likely. 🙁
The impact of robotics on this scale would be worldwide with its associated destabilization. China loses its market and even its low pay scale can’t compete with robots. Nations face internal revolution as the haves and have nots do battle domestically and externally nations steal resources off of their neighbors. I said it many times and I’ll say it again, “All roads lead to war”.
Its not just what is occurring but also the rapid rate of change.
Thankfully, the travel agents for Michelle-Marie Antoinette Obama have life time employment. And Hilary can just go back to trading cattle futures for a living…
IN 8 Years the Obama’s have spent over $78 Million Dollars of Tax Payer Funded Monies to fund their Vacation Travel. Over $70 Mil by last Dec 2015 and we get the Tab.
Must be nice.. Now break out the pitch forks.
I could have taken a vacation too, if I did not have to pay any Fed Taxes. I’d go out to Hawaii every year for 2 fun weeks.
50% of Americans do not pay taxes now, to encourage the Sheeple to stop paying taxes is like closing the barn door after the horse has left his stall.
Taxes are not necessary to fund government. They are designed to pay the never ending interest on the national debt to the Federal Reserve and keep the general population poor and in fear of arrest. 🙁
Many times I have bought something on sale only to discover I got charged full price after looking at the receipt at home. I try to always look at the receipt now before I leave the store. Getting scammed is not cool or trendy. But then again neither is the Beast system.
When shopping, take sharpie marker and write the price on the package when you take it off the shelf. Then when you get home audit the shopping bill as you unload your items and groceries by checking off the items listed and see if the prices do match. Keep them honest, and if they rip you off, complain loudly.
There was a 60 mins show once, that they went around to gas stations and pumped gas into a measuring flask, to check to see if you got exactly a gallon of gas dispersed, and as you were charged on the pump.
How many of you shake those last few drops out of the pump handle when getting gas? “Hell yeah get in there drops…”
As my father has said many times, “If you want a good job you need educated hands”. An education, by itself, is exportable. If you never leave your office then your office will eventually reside in India. Skilled tradesmen, through technicians, up to Physicians all have “Educated Hands”. Neither 3rd world labor nor robbie the robot will put in a hot water heater or upgrade your electrical service anytime soon. Of course many of the displaced humans now seeing this will themselves get educated hands and thus compete for the dwindling amount of gainful employment increasing the supply of supply / demand.
I’m a retired STEM guy that can and has designed and programed “robots”, and other high tech machines. I’ve raised this issue before, Society had better figure out how to deal with all the people that will be displaced by technology. Democrats got the government they want. People like me will make machines to put those Democrats out of work, because people cost too much and frankly are a pain in the ass to deal with(sick, pregnancy, snowflake personalities, attitude, et al.).
My suggestion is to populate Mars with all the world’s Democrats.
On the bottom of the pacific ocean sounds a bit less expensive. We could probably fit them all on several aging oil tankers and torpedo the damn things.
Rellik: Come on man,we screwed up this planet why the hell mess up Mars?
That reminded me of a great old bumper sticker…
“Earth First! (we’ll strip mine the other planets later…)”
This isn’t the worse thing that can happen. Maybe we’ll be able to find people that actually want to work in the trades then. The rest of the useless ones can just disappear.
Take care of yourself, grow your own food, the future looks brighter already.
So you have no problem with being tracked and monitored and tagged?
You musn’t have read the whole article! I will never be tagged & tracked. My response is about robots, jobs, and making good use of the spare time we may have. I have been on this site longer than anyone else here and your response is why the old timers get fed up with the doom porn and hype. You’re trying to ruffle feathers hoping for an argument.
Life is a lot better if you’re optimistic and look for the good that is out there.
Millions Of American Jobs Will Be Wiped Out In The Next Five Years
Are you referring to the ones still left after Obama has put 100mm working age Americans out of work?
Life on earth has been going through changes from the beginning. Every change has brought benefits and a down side.
During the industrial revolution, there were those who saw it as a Godsend; as an end to man’s burdens of manual labor. This has proven correct. There are no men pulling carts like horses, as they once did in China for example.
But those afraid of the downside of the industrial revolution were also proven correct. Where once people worked independently in little shops making shoes or at home sewing suits and dresses; these things were replaced by large factories and sweat shops. What was once an artistic craft was replaced by mindless repetition. The birth of the assembly line brought more products to more people but the price was independence of the worker and long days working for a boss.
We will either succumb to a life of apathy, the proverbial bum drinking away the day. Or, we will use the time wisely.
Many homesteaders across America will hardly feel the changes. They will be too busy working the farm and homeschooling the children. I predict that most Americans will become tradesmen and live like those in the 1800’s. The city’s will be small. People will desert city life and more and more Americans will be self reliant.
There is a plan to turn America into “the hunger games”. The J*w psychos want us pushed into cities separated by wildlife parks without transportation between except for the mass transit system they control. That, I believe, is one reason they neglect infrastructure. While we become home bound prisoners under house arrest, they the rich J*w elite job nob around in private flying saucers.
We must remain awake and get involved in politics to prevent this.
Also, buy a couple of acres of land so your house is private and you can have everything you need without big brother up in your business 24/7.

Maybe WWOOFing, bartering, opensource low cost items
Imagine that there is a catalyst, radio frequency, microwave or something else which can trigger the chemicals ingested from foods, water or chemicals from chem trail to turn cells in your body to cancerous cells. These materials being put in our foods and air are in many cases small amounts of heavy metals which will react to radio waves and microwaves which are all around us in every electronic gizmo, cell phone, power line, etc. They just need to send a certain frequency to increase the death rate. Sounds crazy but we know they are up to something with agenda 21 and it is not intended to extend your life. We are have a short time left before the robots can build and repair robots. We are useless eaters to the scum elite. You only have a chance if you become self sufficient.
regarding automated check out lines and such things.. if we all refuse to participate.. companies will not install those things. Most big box home improvement stores have the automated lines.. I steadfastly refuse to use them. I will wait in line for a real person to check out my purchases. I was in line once waiting and a worker invited me to use the self check out line.. I politely declined.. she asked incredulously, why ? I replied.. because that machine cost someone just like you their job. She looked stunned and then admitted.. you’re right.. I never thought of that. We should all think of that.
True story!
When robots get smart enough to take all our jobs away it won’t be long until they try to eliminate the human race. We still have a ways to go yet thank goodness says the old swamp rat.
A public service announcement to all
AMERICANS under the age of 40 !
Listen up dumb asses ! If you’re under the age of 40 put down your fucking phone and put forth some effort for a change . Try to learn a skilled trade such as plumbing , electrical , heating and air etc. Things that people want and NEED done and maintained . The majority of 4 year college degrees aren’t worth the paper their printed on but you can get one of those cool license plate frames that say where you were brainwashed at . Of course that’s if you can afford a car which will be highly unlikely . Us blue collar folks will survive , trust me on that one !!!!!!!!!!

Keep in mind that this so called boom in automation will only last as long as there is cheap energy available. Once prices skyrocket, the cost of running these machines go up too. Then there will be a demand for workers to produce only essential goods.
