The FBI carried out a record 28 million background checks on firearms purchases in 2019, as Americans rushed to buy weapons amid calls by wealthy elitists in Hollywood and Democrat politicians for tougher gun laws.
According to FBI data, 28,369,750 background checks were performed in 2019, smashing the previous record of 27 million in 2016. The agency ran 202,465 checks on Black Friday alone. The Christmas period was a festive one for firearms retailers, with just under three million checks carried out in December, the second-highest month since the National Instant Criminal Background Check System began in 1998. –RT
“Americans are choosing to invest their hard-earned dollars in their ability to exercise their rights and buy the firearms they want before gun control politicians attempt to regulate away that ability,” a spokesman for the National Shooting Sports Foundation told the Associated Press in December.
Though violent crime has decreased by more than 50 percent since the early 1990s, mass shootings continue to make gun control a headline issue in the US. Last year saw a number of high-profile slayings, including two shootings in Texas in August that left 30 people dead, a massacre in Virginia Beach that killed 13, and a bloodbath at a nightclub in Dayton, Ohio, that killed nine. . The slime and the demorats can try what ever they want they will pass laws and demand that the guns be turned in. This wont happen.
God forbid but there will be blood in the streets if they try to take the guns away..
Just think of it this way. Who is going to take the guns away from us. Not LEO’s they know that it means suicide for them and there families. Military not they know that they would cause a split in the military that would start a civil war.
You know that a person with out a gun can’t take away a gun from someone that has a gun. They would only get themselves shot.

Sarge ~ It’s doubtful that anyone will go door-to-door attempting confiscation…. although of course anything is possible.
The more likely scenario is that once mandatory registration is in place –and I suspect this will be one of the first Executive Orders of the next Democratic president — the end goal… the “Holy Grail” …… will be an attempt to pass Prohibition 2.0 and require that everything on those registrations lists must be turned in to hastily-established Collection Centers. (Probably these places will have a carefully-crafted name with the word “Safety” cemented in there somewhere.)
With every citizen being constantly monitored, tracked, and recorded, automated municipal / county systems can quickly formulate local databases of anyone who has not turned in registered arms, and easily be able to cross-reference this with business licenses, motor vehicle licenses, tax records, etc.
Anybody who fails to turn in everything listed under their name (or provide extensive proof that ownership has transferred) can automatically have any license suspended — or possibly permanently revoked — with hefty fees and fines for re-instatement.
If that isn’t sufficient, then the scofflaw could possibly be considered a “domestic terrorist” and have assets (bank account, 401k, pension, securities…. anything, really) frozen. (This also means that your credit card will no longer work, either.) Medicare and Social Security benefits can be suspended. Municipal services such as water and sewer could be shut off. A lien for penalties, court costs, etc. can be levied against your home. You could lose your house. And that’s just the civil measures…. now let’s talk about the criminal measures.
Remember Executive Order 6102? Franklin Roosevelt — “the people’s champion” — threatened TEN YEARS IN PRISON to anyone who didn’t turn in their gold to the government. What do you think the penalty would be for something as “scary” and “dangerous” (to many people) as an AR, instead of a harmless little coin? Twenty years, I bet.
It would not take very many ‘showcase’ trials — triumphantly broadcast through all of the liberal websites and cable stations– to terrify the hell out of anyone holding out. Seeing some poor guy who looks a lot like yourself, with his life in ruins, every asset confiscated, and headed to a federal prison for the next 20 years, will motivate almost everyone to fall into line.
Brutal penalties for private ownership of small arms did the job for Stalin, and Hitler, and Mao, and Pol Pot, and countless others. It will do the job for the authorities here, too. And with modern 24/7 monitoring of everything you have, everyplace you go, and everything you do, it will be easier than ever.

But, the Bolsheviks are patient in their “Long March in America” to disarm us. Like termites, they hope to make the entire structure collapse by their insidious works.
If they can’t outright grab our guns, they will try ANY AND ALL MEANS NECESSARY–have your employer/college shame you into giving up your guns; have your bank/credit card company refuse dealings with guns/ammo purchases; and the latest here in Ohio, promote a “registry of stolen firearms” a precursor to total registration/confiscation. On it goes by the hive mentality.
Teach your children well–this is going to be a generational fight to the finish. We will prevail–but, it will take time, treasure, sweat, sacrifice, and hopefully not much effusion of blood.

New York And Illinois are trying to pass laws that require a person to provide 3 years worth of browsing history before they can get a gun permit. Other states are considering this.
