In the wake of the Sandy Hook shootings we warned that sweeping changes were in the works for Americans’ right to bear arms. It started with ammunition tax proposals, restrictions on firearm accessories imports and most recently Governors began bypassing Congress altogether by banning gun ownership for those on any of the government’s many watchlists. The Obama administration has also targeted licensed firearms sellers across the United States by forcing banks to treat them like pornography businesses and impeding their access to transaction processing systems and business banking accounts.
States like California already ban “assault weapons” and outlaw “high capacity” magazines that can hold more than ten rounds of ammunition. But the kinds of restrictive laws that strike at the very heart of the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution have thus far been limited to just a dozen or so heavily liberal states.
Until now.
While Americans anxiously prepared for their Christmas festivities, anti gun proponents in Congress were hard at work drafting a new bill. If passed H.R. 4269 would literally redefine the Second Amendment as evidenced by the bill’s description, which in no uncertain terms clarifies its ultimate goal:
“To regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited, and for other purposes.”
The bill directly targets every semi-automatic firearm in the United States including handguns, shotguns and rifles. It specifically mentions certain firearms and manufacturers, including the popular AR-15 and AK-47 rifles.
Because the law is Federal it would blanket the country with new restrictions, including making it illegal to own any magazine that exceeds a capacity of ten (10) rounds.
And here’s the kicker, even if your weapon has a legally-defined low capacity detachable magazine but is modified with any of the following accessories, it is considered an “assault rifle” and would be outright banned in the United States.
Semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any 1 of the following:
“(i) A pistol grip.
“(ii) A forward grip.
“(iii) A folding, telescoping, or detachable stock.
“(v) A barrel shroud.
“(vi) A threaded barrel.
…
“(B) A semiautomatic rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds, except for an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating only with, .22 caliber rimfire ammunition.
“(C) Any part, combination of parts, component, device, attachment, or accessory that is designed or functions to accelerate the rate of fire of a semiautomatic rifle but not convert the semiautomatic rifle into a machinegun.
To be clear, the new bill puts all half measures aside and goes for the jugular.
This is the worst case scenario that many Americans have feared.
If you own a weapon on the ban list or have accessories as described by the bill, your firearm will be outlawed in the United States of America.
SEC. 3.RESTRICTIONS ON ASSAULT WEAPONS AND LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICES
(a) In General.—Section 922 of title 18, United States Code, is amended—
(1) by inserting after subsection (u) the following:
“(v) (1) It shall be unlawful for a person to import, sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, a semiautomatic assault weapon.

“(37) The term ‘large capacity ammunition feeding device’—
“(A) means a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device, including any such device joined or coupled with another in any manner, that has an overall capacity of, or that can be readily restored, changed, or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition;
…
“(w) (1) It shall be unlawful for a person to import, sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, a large capacity ammunition feeding device.
The bill was introduced in Congress on Decemeber 16, 2015 and currently has 123 co-sponsors – all democrats.
We know that gun bans don’t work but one can’t help but think the agenda goes much further than the notion that they want to make us safer. If that were the case then our lawmakers wouldn’t allow drug cartels, gang members and Islamic terrorists to cross into the U.S. through our porous southern border.
The reality is that a cloud of tyranny has descended upon America. For it to be successful the American people must first be disarmed.
As history has proven time and again, a disarmed populace can easily be led to slaughter. But unlike the tens of millions executed in ethnic, religious and political cleansings of the 20th century, Americans have a rich tradition of personal liberty and the right to bear arms. It is embedded in our culture and our founding document. And as Texas police chief Randy Kennedy recently warned, if the government pushes too far they may well incite a revolution.

The Dick Act of 1902 also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654, of June 28, 1902 invalidates all so-called gun-control laws. It also divides the militia into three distinct and separate entities.
The three classes H.R. 11654 provides for are the organized militia, henceforth known as the National Guard of the State, Territory and District of Columbia, the unorganized militia and the regular army. The militia encompasses every able-bodied male between the ages of 18 and 45. All members of the unorganized militia have the absolute personal right and 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms of any type, and as many as they can afford to buy.
The Dick Act of 1902 cannot be repealed; to do so would violate bills of attainder and ex post facto laws which would be yet another gross violation of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The President of the United States has zero authority without violating the Constitution to call the National Guard to serve outside of their State borders.

The Honorable William Gordon, in a speech to the House on Thursday, October 4, 1917, proved that the action of President Wilson in ordering the Organized Militia (the National Guard) to fight a war in Europe was so blatantly unconstitutional that he felt Wilson ought to have been impeached.
During the war with England an attempt was made by Congress to pass a bill authorizing the president to draft 100,000 men between the ages of 18 and 45 to invade enemy territory, Canada. The simple way to start it all is to make a law that states that after a certain date. NO One can have a gun of any type. Can Not purchase one or have one given to you. No more guns after that date. Only those who have guns before the set date will be Grand Fathered. To be enforced by Birthdate similar to buying alcohol. So those who can not buy a weapon because of the age restriction now. will be barred from future purchase.

I think we are in agreement. The Constitution is supposed to be the only thing that the states are required to adhere to. Everything not in the Constitution falls within the authority of the individual states. For example, no states can prevent women from voting (19th amendment).
This is where it gets misunderstood on many counts. The federal government is ONLY the supreme law of the land as it PERTAINS TO THE CONSTITUTION and ONLY ON FEDERAL MATTERS. There are many issues that the States have sole discretion on wherein the Federal government has no authority or jurisdiction. On state matters, the the Supremacy clause in the Constitution doesn’t apply.
However, having said that, each state constitution has a Bill of Rights that pretty much mirrors the federal Constitution’s. And as such, States still can’t repeal your right to self defense. My only argument in the beginning was that “Governors looking to bypass Congress” is totally fine as long as its a state matter and those laws which Congress passes that go beyond Federal jurisdiction should be held by the Governors as null and void. Now the President bypassing Congress is a totally different matter and one that the President is in violation of his oath of office over because he and the Congress are both federal.

Yes in Connecticut they didn’t register their guns. And that does give some hope. But they are all now felons and outlaws. On another note they plan to outlaw body armor to include Level Four Protection. Level 3a can protect from pistol ammo. Level 3, some rifle but level 4 is armor piercing. They want to take away level 3 and 4 so they can be sure to kill you.

A nation wide Boston house to house home invasion search is what will play out. Who is going to get their wife and kids killed? You will note that the Founding Fathers envisioned the ownership of guns not just for hunting, or self-defense, but also to protect against tyranny. Tench Coxe, a lesser-known Founding Father discussed this very issue in an article in the Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1778, stating: “[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.” Are we really that much more removed from the danger of tyranny today than back then? And if you answer in the affirmative, on what basis do you arrive at this conclusion? Certainly, modern writers like Edward Abbey, who wrote “An armed citizenry is the first defense, the best defense, and the final defense against tyranny” echo exactly what Founding Fathers like George Mason, a delegate from Virginia to the United States Constitutional Convention, who once made the following thought provoking statement, stated about arms allowing us to resist tyranny: “[W]hen the resolution of enslaving America was formed in Great Britain, the British Parliament was advised by an artful man, who was governor of Pennsylvania, to disarm the people; that it was the best and most effectual way to enslave them; but that they should not do it openly, but weaken them, and let them sink gradually.”

I hope my post here is wrong how the future plays out, I’d rather look foolish than right; but if a bill like this becomes law it won’t end well. Trying to take away guns by outlawing them and expecting citizens to willfully hand them over simply will not work (well, maybe with a tiny fraction). The gov’t knows trying to forcefully take them away would in turn cause bigger problems so they will set a “generous” time frame to have all personal firearms surrendered within a specific period. For example, several months to a year. They probably already know there will be massive non-compliance so after that an amnesty period could be established with a new time frame to hand over the guns, and maybe even offering buy-backs. These measures would be tried to make the gov’t look reasonable or rational. Meanwhile we will see a massive 24/7 effort to propagandize the public against guns and private gun ownership; and possible false flag events. American citizens who own guns will be called criminals, terrorists, or labeled as psychos and ridiculed. These measures too will ultimately not be successful; therefore the gov’t would eventually resort to “special actions and conditions” to facilitate confiscation. State and local authorities would be compelled to assist in this scheme; some will, some won’t.
Laws permitting confiscation could not take place without the collusion of both political parties. By necessity, other restrictive laws that would certainly damage many of our rights would have to be passed at the same time. So all of society would be negatively affected, not just gun owners. If it got to that point the politicians know there would be a huge turnout the very next election and that many if not most would promptly be voted out of office. So it is possible they would post-pone or even cancel elections. The overwhelming majority of legal gun owners (99.98%) have never and will never commit crime with a gun, so this is not about controlling crime; in reality this is about eliminating a right that empowers us against tyranny. For all the good it does contact your representatives and tell them do not support any bill that tries to strip away any of our GOD-given rights. The gov’t does not have any legitimate power to do so.

I called a local cop to check out some would be trespassers not to long ago. He came up to our exterior gate and rang the doorbell… telling me essentially that the guys were legal in their use of the commons, because one of the homeowners was with them and they were “guests”. I could tell that the officer was really frustrated that he was kept at the gate, so I asked him if he wanted to see the interior of the “house” which he jumped at. I was very cordial and just had him step in to the main living area and begged off a full tour saying that the house was not tidy enough for that. We had a nice chat out by my tiny little pool, (which would serve as an emergency reservoir if shtf). The mystery is gone now, and I am his buddy for all intents and purposes. Waved a nice, friendly goodbye as I locked the gate behind him. I always, always go out of my way to chat up policemen. Most around here are very nice, but I am not naive enough to think that could not change in the wink of an eye. I want to be perceived as the harmless, friendly lady from down the street- which I actually am… except under certain circumstances. I never talk to ANYONE about the amount of preps we have, in any area- especially firearms. We have about 3 more days till open carry in Texas, and I won’t be one of the people advertising my status as a gun owner that way.

That being said, I think the article may be a bit misleading. I went and read the text. You are right. The “not banned” list is still a nice selection. They are NOT coming to take what you have now. It is grandfathered in. This bans future sales. Still not good.
The fascist corporate DC structure uses a very, very broad interpretation of the Commerce Clause in the Constitution to get around the second amendment. They always do this. If any part of the firearm crosses state lines (even the raw metal used in manufacture) they claim jurisdiction through the Commerce Clause. If you ever see a bill with the word commerce in it, this is what they are doing…claiming it is not unconstitutional and is one of the enumerated powers given to them.
And, of course, fuckin’ LE of all stripes (even retired) is exempt. Tyranny at work…

The Dick Act of 1902 also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654, of June 28, 1902 invalidates all so-called gun-control laws. It also divides the militia into three distinct and separate entities.
The three classes H.R. 11654 provides for are the organized militia, henceforth known as the National Guard of the State, Territory and District of Columbia, the unorganized militia and the regular army. The militia encompasses every able-bodied male between the ages of 18 and 45. All members of the unorganized militia have the absolute personal right and 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms of any type, and as many as they can afford to buy.
The Dick Act of 1902 cannot be repealed; to do so would violate bills of attainder and ex post facto laws which would be yet another gross violation of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The President of the United States has zero authority without violating the Constitution to call the National Guard to serve outside of their State borders.
The National Guard Militia can only be required by the National Government for limited purposes specified in the Constitution (to uphold the laws of the Union; to suppress insurrection and repel invasion). These are the only purposes for which the General Government can call upon the National Guard.
Attorney General Wickersham advised President Taft, “the Organized Militia (the National Guard) can not be employed for offensive warfare outside the limits of the United States.”
The Honorable William Gordon, in a speech to the House on Thursday, October 4, 1917, proved that the action of President Wilson in ordering the Organized Militia (the National Guard) to fight a war in Europe was so blatantly unconstitutional that he felt Wilson ought to have been impeached.
During the war with England an attempt was made by Congress to pass a bill authorizing the president to draft 100,000 men between the ages of 18 and 45 to invade enemy territory, Canada. The bill was defeated in the House by Daniel Webster on the precise point that Congress had no such power over the militia as to authorize it to empower the President to draft them into the regular army and send them out of the country.
The fact is that the President has no constitutional right, under any circumstances, to draft men from the militia to fight outside the borders of the USA, and not even beyond the borders of their respective states. Today, we have a constitutional LAW which still stands in waiting for the legislators to obey the Constitution which they swore an oath to uphold.
Charles Hughes of the American Bar Association (ABA) made a speech which is contained in the Appendix to Congressional Record, House, September 10, 1917, pages 6836-6840 which states: “The militia, within the meaning of these provisions of the Constitution is distinct from the Army of the United States.” In these pages we also find a statement made by Daniel Webster, “that the great principle of the Constitution on that subject is that the militia is the militia of the States and of the General Government; and thus being the militia of the States, there is no part of the Constitution worded with greater care and with more scrupulous jealousy than that which grants and limits the power of Congress over it.”
“This limitation upon the power to raise and support armies clearly establishes the intent and purpose of the framers of the Constitution to limit the power to raise and maintain a standing army to voluntary enlistment, because if the unlimited power to draft and conscript was intended to be conferred, it would have been a useless and puerile thing to limit the use of money for that purpose. Conscripted armies can be paid, but they are not required to be, and if it had been intended to confer the extraordinary power to draft the bodies of citizens and send them out of the country in direct conflict with the limitation upon the use of the militia imposed by the same section and article, certainly some restriction or limitation would have been imposed to restrain the unlimited use of such power.”

WASHINGTON, Dec. 21 (UPI) – “It will be hard to tell where your beef and pork comes from with the repeal of the country of origin labeling in the United States.
Congress repealed the rules, which began in 2009, with a measure added to the omnibus budget bill passed on Friday. Obama signed the bill into law Friday.
The repeal comes after the World Trade Organization found the labels were unfair to meat producers outside the United States.
Canada and Mexico last week were granted permission to impose more than $1 billion in import tariffs on U.S. goods if the labels were not removed.”
