This is nothing new for tyrannical fascists: demand the government and businesses censor speech that they don’t like. George Soros is nothing less than an authoritarian, and he proves it once again with his ridiculous demand that Mark Zuckerberg be ousted for allowing free speech.
Billionaire financier George Soros stepped up his campaign Tuesday to thwart what he says is Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s attempt to help President Donald Trump win reelection in 2020, according to the Daily Caller. Anyone who has been paying attention knows all too well that Facebook doesn’t allow free speech. They bow to governments around the world calling for censorship. But because Facebook isn’t censoring enough, Soros wants Zuckerberg ousted. This has little to nothing to do with Donald Trump: free speech is being killed and that is a much larger concern.
Soros is not the first totalitarian fascist to say more censorship is needed to prevent Trump’s reelection either.
Zuckerberg and Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg are pushing for governmental regulation to distract from their supposed working relationship with the U.S. president, Soros wrote in a letter to the editor at the Financial Times. “Mr. Zuckerberg appears to be engaged in some kind of mutual assistance arrangement with Donald Trump that will help him to get reelected,” Soros wrote in the editorial before noting what he says to be Facebook’s disingenuous push for regulations on the tech industry.
Soros appears to not understand that regulations are put on businesses by the government and Facebook hasn’t exactly been known to be unbiased when it comes to politics. Does anyone remember Diamond and Silk?
“I repeat my proposal, Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg should be removed from control of Facebook. (It goes without saying that I support government regulation of social media platforms.)” Does Soros not understand that Trump is in the government? He’d be the one helping to regulate the internet?
Soros’s note came less than a month after he told an audience at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland that Facebook allows misinformation to run rampant on its platform. He did not provide evidence supporting his theory — Soros is not the only one to make such a claim. Misinformation and fake news are now nothing more than ideas that the world’s elitists (such as Soros) would prefer you not think about. They have decided they get to remain in power by manipulating what people think.
Facebook may be at the beginning stages of realizing the damage they are doing to society by killing free speech. “While we respect Mr. Soros’ right to voice his opinion, he’s wrong,” a Facebook spokeswoman said in a statement. “The notion that we are aligned with any one political figure or party runs counter to our values and the facts.”
