Because the government must maintain direct control over everything we consume, the FDA is now set to ban access to over-the-counter antiobiotic medications. Such medications, classified as veterinary antibiotics, are often used by pet owners to treat bacterial infections in fish and livestock. For those preparing for a breakdown of emergency services in the event of widespread disaster where hospitals may be closed down and medical personnel unavailable, the banning of these drugs means that preppers can no longer purchase these medications over the counter and outside of view of prying surveillance state eyes.
Starting January 1, 2017, the equivalent of a veterinary prescription will be required for certain OTC antibiotics.

Many preppers store antibiotics for fish or livestock water/feed medications over the counter (OTC). As of January 1st, 2017 this will come to an end as livestock producers will be required to get a VFD (veterinary feed directive) from a veterinarian to obtain these antibiotics. I don’t want to go into the specific differences but think of it as a prescription.
For anyone wanting antibiotics I would recommend getting some before the first of the year.

Don’t bet your life on colloidal silver. It will kill bacteria, but it doesn’t work very well on viruses. H2O2 will kill viruses much better. Inhaled H2O2 is very effective for all respiratory problems and it helps the entire body at the same time because it oxygenates the system.

The problem with h2o2 is in the 30% pure form it will burn the living hell out of your skin or anything it touches. I spilled some on a wood counter and it fookin ate a hole in it. Of course you have to dilute it first but why mess with it at all when you can just use stabilized oxygen? You will never get burned to shit with it and it has the same effect. h2o2 is as bad as battery acid or maybe worse if you spill it or get it on you or your clothes. Do a search for stabilized oxygen, the prices and strength vary a lot so do your homework.
Even 3% H2O2 is still an oxidizing agent. Keep in mind that oxidation and free radical formation are the main ways that ozone, UV light, ionizing radiation, and H2O2 exert their germ killing effects. Oxidation and free radical formation are also mechanisms that injure human cells. Huff too much of that H2O2 and you will die of pulmonary edema or induce carcinomatous changes.
After the post-apocalyptic starvation die off, I suspect that home remedies will kill as many people as predatory humans.
Roger that on the 30% H202. It’s a raw material in a variety chem manufacturer. Once splilled a little on asphalt and it quickly softened up and started bubbling. Also one co worker spilt some on his leather boot. Don’t remember what happened with leather but he got double screwed. Blisterd bad some toes due to soak through and not gittin boot off quickly and not wearing proper PPE for handling and found not wearing steel toe boots in general as directed by GaPac policy. That stuff don’t play. Doesn’t 3% convert to purified water after some point of expiration. It will stay stabilized considerably longer if can be kept cool. Cool range ??

For influenza a sure fire product is ELDERBERRY SYRUP, made by FLORA. you can get it at any good health food store. Buy the LARGE bottles of plain syrup. You do not need the Sambucocl or Sambuguard version.
For common cold, flu, and seasonal allergies I recommend a good dose of fresh crushed garlic with some chicken soup. Take it for 3 days and most of your respiratory issues will go away. Works for me most of the time.
Chewing fresh onion or tomato+onion salad is an alternative, but not as good as garlic.
These are really natural and inexpensive remedies used for centuries.

On average and depending upon your locale, about 30% of respiratory infections (ear aches, “head colds,” bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.) are RESISTANT to azithromycin (brand name: Z-Pak) and azithromycin has NO effect on MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staph. aureus) or VRSA (vancomycin-resistant Staph. aureus).
You should also consider stocking:
levofloxacin (brand name Levaquin)
trimethoprim/sulfamethozazole double-strength (old brand names Septra DS and Bactrm DS)
metronidazole (brand name Flagyl)
cefdinir (brand name Omnicef)
chloramphenicol (old brand name Chloromycetin)
You might also consider stocking an anti fungal like fluconazole (Diflucan).
Find a sympathetic doctor for the necessary evaluation, get good advice when and how to use such stock, and save much money by purchasing from an online clearnet Canadian pharmacy such as northwestpharmacy DOT com or, for that matter, even learn how to use VPN, Tor, and the dark net for such private matters. If you have children, learn how to calculate correct pediatric dosages (you can use inexpensive but comprehensive references such as Tarascon Pharmacopoeia or E-pocrates). While you are at it, pick up a current edition of the Sanford Guide to Antimicrobial Therapy.
I have used the store bought 3% hydrogen peroxide for earache/infection. Just a couple drops in each ear 2x a day and it worked great. NEVER use the 30% food grade unless you want an extremely painful trip to the emergency room and possible deafness.
Over the years I’ve bought a lot of stuff from alldaychemist. Never got screwed and you wouldn’t believe how cheap drugs from outside the u.s. are. With all the problems going on in India now, I’d probably call them first.

Just remember all of the pharmaceutical antibiotics for both humans and animals were synthesized from organic compounds. You can put garlic and oregano plus turmeric while cooking so the flavors permeate the meat and flavor it, then add these same ingredients/spices right before serving for their health benefits.

Buy herbs like turmeric in bulk for cheap on ebay. They have capsule filling machines and empty capsules cheap too. I recommend and use the Cap m quick machine it is cheap and easy. Tumeric, Spirulina, Chlorella are my favorites. Buy activated charcoal to in bulk and grind it in a little coffee grinder, it helps with poisoning and stomach issues. Baking soda is cheap and helps de-acidize your body.

Apparently, the story from the Common Sense Show by Dave Hodges that the Elite are going to shut down the grid and then hit us with the biological agents is true. Something like the Thunder Storm Asthma, only more deadly. That is why they don’t want the people having access to any anti-biotic medications.
They want to totally trap everyone into having to buy their Big Pharma dope instead of having any independent alternatives. That’s why and how they intend to shut down everything else as well, except the Establishment-approved, Big Business/Government form of it.
Please be aware that some of these drugs, especially those in the sulfa class, are already difficult to find despite the Jan 1 effective date. I raise small ruminants and had a hard time finding Di-Methox and other sulfa drugs right before Thanksgiving. I had to call customer service (Jeffers Livestock/Pets– super nice people with fast shipping) and they said that after Jan 1 they will not carry the impacted drugs AT ALL— it’s too much trouble to go through vets. (It’s a TON of drugs that help really benign, common illnesses in livestock.)
Valley Vet had those same drugs in stock, and when I called customer service about the changes, she said that they had plenty in stock that lack the new FDA regulations printed on the label, but once it’s gone, regardless of the date, they will require a vet prescription. Same with PBS Animal Health. So, if you’re considering getting some for your stash, please don’t wait. I have a few things on hand, but I’ve always used herbal remedies too… Now I’m going more into that direction and plan to make more essential oils and grow more herbs for my animals.
Oregano oil is cheap and research suggests that it has very powerful antibiotic properties. Stockpiling, while a good stop-gap, will only get you so far. Time to start looking for natural alternatives and culling my livestock even more deeply for lack of hardiness. Good luck, all.

When you look at the list of antibiotics to be restricted it should have little effect on prepper use. Not affected are, amoxicillin, doxycycline, cephalexin, azithromycin, metronidazole etc and other commonly stocked drugs. This may change in the future but as yet these are not affected.

The FDA PDF says “feed” uses. The purpose of the rule is to make sure that when livestock are being routinely fed antibiotics that is happens under veterinary supervision.
Is there any evidence that this applies to small quantities for pets? Has any pet antibiotic vendor been notified that bird/fish antibiotics can no longer be sold without a VFD? The “F” being for “feed”, not “treatment.”

I’ve been trying to research this claim and can’t find any evidence at all for it. For all I can tell, the headline “FDA Set To Ban Prepper Access To Over-The-Counter Antibiotics” is entirely false.
The quoted facts are that the FDA is trying to eliminate use of antibiotics in feed and water for production purposes. It applies to all food animals, including rabbits and poultry to include pets and production and non-production uses. But nowhere have I found evidence it applies to pets not used for human consumption. It specifically talks about “feed” and “water” and not about pills for treatment of acute infections.
Has any vendor of pill form antibiotics intended for treatment of disease in fish and birds been given notice that a veterinary order is required to sell their products?
My primary sources of news (Zero Hedge, Natural News, SHTF Plan among others) are under attack by the mainstream as purveyors of “fake news.” My research so far leads me to believe this article is “fake news.”
What would be bona fide news would be if SHTF Plan didn’t just uncritically parrot the article from the Survival Blog but instead did some independent reporting to find out whether the FDA rules on livestock feed have anything to do at all with pill form pet antibiotics–which I still can’t find sufficient information about. Don’t give the enemy ammunition, instead take pride in vetting articles for accuracy and remaining a publisher of “real” news.
