Facebook Ramps Up Censorship By “Dispelling Political Content”

Do you LOVE America?

Mark Zuckerberg took to his own platform (Facebook) on Wednesday to tell users of the social media site’s new “community update.” In a 2,800-word post, which amounts to a promise of censorship, Zuckerberg wrote that it will begin efforts to hide political posts for users’ news feeds.

Zuckerberg said Facebook will begin an effort to hide political posts from users’ news feeds, noting the site is aiming to promote “healthy and positive interactions. “We’re currently considering steps we could take to reduce the amount of political content in News Feed,” Zuckerberg wrote, adding: “One of the top pieces of feedback we’re hearing from our community right now is that people don’t want politics and fighting to take over their experience.”

The real question is if Zuckerberg will block and shadow ban Joe Biden in the same way he blocked Donald Trump. We’ll see, but this amounts to censorship any way you slice it. If people don’t want political posts in their news feed, it should be up to them to unfollow or simply not click on those posts. But personal responsibility is a thing of the past.

“Civic and political” groups will also face what amount to shadow bans – a practice in which social media platforms limit the reach of certain content, instead of outright deleting it – Zuckerberg said, observing that such pages had been removed from Facebook’s “recommendations” tab ahead of the 2020 presidential election. That policy will now be made permanent. -RT

Likely to avoid the stain of the censorship stigma.

“We’re continuing to fine-tune how this works, but now we plan to keep civic and political groups out of recommendations for the long term, and we plan to expand that policy globally,” Zuckerberg said, describing the move as “a continuation of work… to turn down the temperature and discourage divisive conversations.”

Facebook has been open about shadow banning in the past alluding to the idea that it’s not exactly censorship because there was no outright deletion of the content or page.

Back in 2017, Facebook announced that it had tweaked its algorithm to “reduce the spread of problematic links such as clickbait, sensationalism and misinformation,” an earlier step to rein in verboten content, which it defined only vaguely. Though the company insists it does not moderate posts based on users’ political beliefs, recent years have seen repeat allegations that its policies target conservatives unfairly, including by US lawmakers-RT

This should be interesting. Let’s see how Facebook’s users respond to this new policy update.

      1. You are totally right. If someone doesn’t like the political news, they should have the option of just not following. Not having the ability or choice to do that is still censorship, which is exactly the direction this country is going and it is the wrong direction!

      2. This of course,is all part of the nanny state where they decide what is good or relevant for all of us.More and more, Americans are being conditioned to believe that we are too stupid to decide what we want or don’t want in our lives. The ones behind the censorship would have you believe that they and only they know what’s good for us.Of course,it is yet another way for them to hide the truth from us.Just remember, they can dress it up any way they want, but, basically anything they say is for our “good” is usually anything but!

      3. Those who have FB accounts, what are you waiting for, cancel your account now. That goes for the rest of your accounts with big-tech, whether on your computer or cell phone. Do you know what these company’s product are – it’s you. They make money off you from the all time you waste on their sites. To show their gratitude they want to inculcate you how to think, what to believe, socially influence you, and limit what you see. On top of that, they work hand-in-glove with the gov’t should it desire to have any information about you. I have gone a step further, I use a VPN. Look it up, when you finish reading about it you’ll get a VPN too. Big-tech and the State doesn’t like any of this, which shows it’s something you should do ASAP.

        • Agreed.

We need to cancel our accounts with facebook, twitter, instagram and any other social media that does not support free speech. We need to quit using google and bing for search engines. There are perfectly usable alternatives for all of them.

If you have an android phone, you can go to xda-developers.com and learn how to de-google your phone. There is a steep learning curve involved but it can be done.

If you are running a website, make darn sure your not running website scripts from the bad guys like google, gstatic, facebook, instagram, webbugs and others.

When you surf, browser add-ons like NoScript and Scriptsafe will help you browse safely and eliminate running scripts from the bad guys. But there is a learning curve.

We can’t expect these mainstream social censoring parasites to wither and die if we keep feeding them our data and our business!

      4. I can not figure it out. Mark Fucin Booger who the fuc is he a nobody, people need to wake up,start doing like the NFL. They think the fans will get pay – per view to watch their games.
Everyone I know wouldn’t spend two cents on a game. No fans no money. If everyone that has a face mask account would just hit that delete button well no customers no money.
This guy is just another piece of shit belongs with the rest of the PIGS in Nancy PIGlosi’s PIG committee. Same with twitter, dump that shit ball.
The teachers same thing, home school you’re children those idiot teachers after their unemployment benefits run out they will be crying poor me. That would be some funny shit. I think we’re talking BOYCOTTING. They all belong in the same shiter and then flush. Elbulleheal

      5. I am interested in agronomy and some of the toughest plants on Earth.

Post-apartheid seed collectors were in a contentious news story, having been feed to crocodiles by ISIS!

I sent a picture of a brown, paper seed envelope to a farmer.

Their nursery logo is apparently recognizable by Facebook’s artificial intelligence.

It took several steps to reinstate my account.

I was not able to write any explanation to my associate, using the keyboard.

I believe, it can recognize the logo, read handwritten and printed text, from a private message.

      6. Facebook is so full of ?

      7. Yeah, because the politicians don’t want the rest of the world to see the truth about themselves. They are liars, thieves and corrupt. And the rest of us are being used, abused and accused. This need to control others is a sick phenomenon by others, since time began.

      8. Gab.com, screw Farcebook!
