For the better part of two decades FEMA detention camps were believed to be a figment of tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorists. As more information over the years has been made available through alternative news researchers like Alex Jones in his full length documentary Police State 4 and former governor Jesse Venutra’s FEMA camp exposé, it is becoming increasingly clear that the government has been taking steps for quite some time to ensure a rapid and effective response in the event of a national disaster or U.S. military deployment on American soil.
As many of our readers know, the U.S. Senate recently passed the National Defense Authorization Act, which, it has been argued, authorizes the establishment of domestic war zones and the subsequent detention of those who are suspected of engaging in terrorist-related activity – including, arguably, U.S. citizens. What you may not know, however, is that just days after the passage of the act reports are surfacing that the Federal Emergency Management Agency, under the auspices of the Department of Homeland Security, is requisitioning private contractors to provide services for government, defense & infrastructure pertaining specifically to FEMA activities with respect to emergency services.
At first glance, this may seem like no big deal. Why shouldn’t the government prepare for emergencies?
However, a review of an email made available through Info Wars from Kellogg, Brown & Root Services (KBR), a subsidiary of mega government contractor Haliburton, notes that the contracting opportunities available through the government and KBR are specifically for “temporary camp services and facilities.”
Key Excerpts from the email and Project Overview:
-Kellogg, Brown and Root Services (KBR) is seeking subscontractors on a national basis to provide temporary camp services and facilities as part of its current and future emergency services contracts for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and state/local government agencies.
–The continental US will be broken up into five regions – Services will be required in each State within each region.
-Establish services listed below within 72 hours for initial set-up and respond within 24 hours for incremental services. This is a CONTINGENCY PROJECT and it should be stressed that lead times will be short with critical requirements due to the nature of emergency responses. Subcontractors must be flexible and able to handle multiple, shifting priorities in an emergency environment. Supply lines needed must be short but not necessarily pre-positioned.
-The personnel on site to be covered by these services will depend on the size and scope of the recovery effort, but for estimating purposes the camp will range in size from 301 to 2,000 persons for up to 30 days in length.

- Tentage, Flooring, Electrical & HVAC
- Waste Water Removal
For all intents and purposes, FEMA / DHS is now activating camps across the nation – in all 50 states – and ramping them up for detainment if and when the need arises.
Security, while not mentioned in the KBR release, is an issue addressed previously under guidance of the U.S. military. In an August 2009 report we highlighted that the Army is Hiring for Internment/Resettlement Specialists, in which we noted:
It seems that the US Government is preparing for a high volume of military prisoners. We suspect these will not be foreign nationals, as we either kill them or detain them outside of the USA. So, one must conclude that these corrections, interment and resettlement specialists will be supervising US citizens. The military is calling them internment camps or resettlement camps. Back in World War II they were called by a different name.
Additionally, we have learned over the last couple of years that FEMA has requisitioned manufacturers for 140 Million Packets of Food, Blankets, and Body Bags, while the U.S. military is Actively War Gaming ‘Large Scale Economic Breakdown’ and ‘Civil Unrest’ which includes training for over 20,000 US military personnel for contingencies that may include riots and/or mass detentions.
While mainstream media will not report this, and most of the population will either ignore it or chalk it off as being once again blown out of proportion by the alternative news sphere, the evidence is right in front of us – it is overwhelming and very compelling.
Our government is, without a doubt, preparing for an event(s) that will likely result in the mass detentions of tens of thousands of individuals across the entire United States.

I agree with the need to find like-minded people to form a common and united group, and organize within areas they can monitor, patrol and defend. However, in a realistic sense, to set up “a priori” groups, either national or regional as suggested by US Marines would be extremely difficult and provide identifiable homing beacons for the “System”. By establishing a Nation Wide Patriots Group with the stated dedication, you instantly place a big florescent target on all members. How do you LEGALLY run such a group that will immediately have every gov’t agency set up a whole data system containing everything about anyone connected to it? Keep it secret? Not likely. “Legal” is a relative term these days, as an executive order or a signed bill can make anything illegal under the guise of “national security”. You’d be labelled as terrorists and insurgents immediately, and the established media would march in step with that tag on every TV/radio/cable station in the land. Individual “off the grid” types will be easy pickings for roundups and elimination, whether by gov’t agents or by roving mobs. I believe a “crash” scenario, will likely initially result in huge influxes of new members into militia and survival groups already in existence, with accumulated supplies as the “payment” for entry. Few realize the planning, social and logistical nightmare it would be to “usefully organize” even a localized group of like-minders into a functioning body in a collapse environment. Its easy to talk about here, but DOING it while in that situation is no picnic. Prepper and survival types will tend to migrate to acceptable groups they already know have been functioning before trying to unite and find others they have no idea of where to look for. “Loners” looking for others to unite with will first be seen as a potential “enemy” , and will be targets while they roam around looking for others to unite with. To be aware of like-minders in your present very local community, and having private discussions on planning for an Aftermath is the best. This is especially important for urban dwellers. Very few people can just “leave cities” now to avoid the possibility of what can happen. You need unity in numbers to safely survive anywhere, particularly cities, during the first few weeks/months of collapse. But to establish any large “membership” group now, on a national or even state or regional basis, is inviting too much attention. You KNOW they are watching, snooping and waiting, and the first to occupy those FEMA camps will be those seen as a threat to central control, and big groups with vast open memberships that broadcast that the govt is not recognized are a mighty big threat that would need rapid squelching. Of course, an apocalypse big enough would define its own level of situational circumstances locally, regionally and nationally. Maybe there will be no gov’t left organized enough to round up anyone. Things may be VERY different from place to place. For all the planning we make, no one really knows what can or will happen until it starts.

What I wish to throw into the discussion is that there already exists a legal and historically proven vehicle for doing exactly what you propose. That vehicle is the Militias of the individual states. Give that some thought as legitimate, Constitutional Militias already exist in many states so their coordination nationally could provide the backbone for achieving a national response.

I read this article earlier today. I wanted to maybe think about it a little before I put my two cents in. This bill serves multiple purposes. First off look at how many voted for it, all but three, hum interesting. Why would that be? Is there really that much of a terrorist threat in this country? Is there something we are not aware of in this country? Maybe? OR is it a convenient way to quiet dissenters down and push them back in a hole? Do they actually believe this bill is going to threaten a real committed terrorist? That’s stupid! I think the latter part on more to the point. This lofty group I believe wants us to pussy up and be grateful to them for what they do. But I do think this will be short lived for the most part. Just about the time they go after the wrong guy, bite off a chunk and get a little more than expected. This will happen a few times and someone will have to reevaluate the program. So they at that point have to figure out how to get American soldiers to detain or kill Americans in America. And yes I said “kill.” How do they train Law enforcement to kill? They train them to a strict set of standards, if a situation goes this far, shoot the suspect and shoot to kill him. It’s a lot cheaper to defend a good or bad shooting than it is to pay off your estate. Officer safety is paramount, remember that. It looks as though some of our political leaders might be thinking they are on thin ice and might be a little concerned about showing their face in public. I am sure they are linking this bill to Gabby Giffords shooting in Tucson. That guy was just some left wing nutball and now we all are rolled up with him. Hence John McCain. In the beginning; I never heard of Obama. Who the fuck was this guy? But what he said that really got my attention was when he said; we need a force that is as well trained and as well financed as the Military in this counter. I was stunned. What the hell does he need that for? I Guess, now we know. More to come, I’m sure.
I believe an actual terrorist threat is not really what is going on. Perception is everything, the reality doesn’t matter. Complicating matters is the fact that the wake-up call has not made its way through most neighborhoods. Finding trustworthy, like minded souls is difficult-at best. And when you do, ask yourself if those individuals can contribute, trade their skills with yours and keep THEIR integrity without YOUR food supplies when their family is hungry or in the face of a substantial govt REWARD to turn in “hoarders” or “gun owners”. SHORT ESSAY #7: SOLUTION TO THE SEIZURE OF AMERICA
The USA is now the largest POW Camp in human history.
As for us Americans being held prisoner,…it is worse than that.
When a person is held as a prisoner, the jailer has some responsibility to our welfare.
In the case of this Enemy Force In Occupation, called the US Federal Gov’t,… it is their design to exterminate us!
Not all of us, not all at once, as they don’t want the prisoners rioting and fighting back,.. God forbid the majority of dumbass Americans should wake up in time for their own execution,… no, that would never do.
– They will use people to herd people.
– They will use people to control people.
– They will use people to suppress, beat, torture, and intimidate people.
– They need people to fill the prisons (FEMA Camps).
– They need to people to build the control grids, and other infrastructure of mass-control.
– They need the mechanics, machinists, doctors, lawyers, laborers, farmers, and such.
THEN,… after they have the chess board set up to their liking,… its time to reduce numbers!
It will come in the form of a pathogen (Bio Weapon), most probably an influenza strain that has been modified/engineered to be particularly lethal to anyone that did not receive the antigen.

I dreamed that first they rounded up the OWS kids in the parks, put them on buses and they were taken to the camps, never to be heard from again…
Then when they “finished” with them they seized websites like SHFTplan.com and rounded up (in the middle of the night) the people who ran them and took them to the camps… never to be heard from again…
Then they used out the list of people on food stamps, and they rounded up all of thsoe people, took them to the (now empty)(again) camps… and those folks were never heard from again…
Then… then I woke up… it felt too real. It shook me.
Man, between the known locations of thses camps and the freeking in place executive oders this could all happen really fast…. it is scary, and it has happen before, not too long ago, only 70 years ago, men did this to other men, they rounded people up, put them in camps, murdered them and then brought in more humans… over and over and over… what could keep it from happening again? saying “This is America” Do you think that alone could/would/will stop it?

I’m not ex-military or tactically trained however I have the means to the ends of what US Marine speaks of and I have to agree with his assessment of the situation. I would stand beside this marine and any other veteran out here that served this country. What really upsets me is people in this country now are letting what freedoms and liberties we have left slip away that our relatives spilled their blood for and I for one will refuse to live under the oppressive and tyrannical government that they are forcing upon the people of this country today. I’m deeply sadden that most people don’t understand how the country is changing right under their noses and I’m not sure if they care or they are really that naive.

Most people I know just want to live their lives, and not have to worry about what the government is going to come up with next. There is no doubt, we are in those times where people really do FEAR their government. Everything this current government is doing is counter-intuitive to what a free society is about. We have sent our young people to Iraq, Afghanistan, and all over the world to protect our ‘Freedoms’. A lot of them come back with no arms, legs, faces, and in pieces and parts in boxes. To defend our Freedoms? This governments policies, and the recent laws passed by our ‘leaders’ is a spit in the face of everyone that has served our Military past and present. Thank you for this post MG;I would tend to agree with the Huxley view. You can see it every day in society in very simple and observable forms. How many la-la-landers have all of us seen walking out into traffic texting on their iPads, never looking right or left, assuming others are watching out for their dumb asses? Then you have the lawmakers who legislate that these la-la-landers have the right-of way! What is this mezmerization with reality shows…how many people do you know of that literally seem to live for these shows? Escapism? We live in an instant-gratification society. Everyone deserves all they want as a Right. Those on the gov’t dole have more material items and spending money than anyone who has a job. Society is rotting from within and becoming compliant little law-abiders to an ever increasing infinity of laws. Granted, most of this dominates in metropolitan areas, but the Masters for decades now have been pushing this into rural areas by mandate via the ever growing Rule of Law.
Oh, and the most telling of all indicators…the brainwashing of by now multiple generations of children in public schools and “community activities” are lobotomized by self-esteem policies, tolerance, degrading all competition (ALL get a trophy, keep no scores, and don’t play any games that remotely could cause harm, eliminating recess), and revisionist history. Why teach anyone to think, when conformity is so much more controllable?
In my younger years I remember seeing political posters advertising candidates for the Communist Party, a third Party. I don’t see these campaigns anymore because the Communist Party has bought into an active, ongoing corporation, The Democratic Party. ( Why reinvent the wheel) Thus, the Democratic Socialist Party. I am for isolationism and have been since grade school. This is the only way we can protect our country and our freedoms.
I was wise for my age then when they were trying to teach us the crap about Social Security. I thought if they were forcing us to save money for retirement because we were too stupid or inept to do it on our own, why not rather let us put a percentage of our paychecks into a bank account, etc. which would build through the years and we would have plenty. I was in grade school in the ’60s.
I personally know of one patriot who having attempted to prepare for what might be referred to something like the “Minute Men”, Militia, or just being prepared for helping his people overcome adversity of non-American insurgents overcoming or overtaking his region by being prepared with weapons, food, and defensive facilities. —- He has completed his two year sentence and is now continuing with probation in lieu of being sent to Guantanamo as a terrorist. ——– Using methods of hitting the government head-on by being prepared with defensive equipment places us in a precarious position of being labeled as anti government or, anti American by those wanting to “change” America..
Maybe we should side-step corrupt government and do as the Tea Party is doing and replace unsuitable government authority with more suitable patriots while at the same time being prepared to resist bad legislation already on the books. ———- Our Legislators have been forming an underground government by writing legislation into major Bills, Bills dealing with national security, or high profile Bills that seem to have emergency needs .——- Ordinarily, Earmarking tax funds allow the American people to make the decision how they want their money used by those in authority of our government, whose job it is to spend tax money. By Earmarking, the citizen directs his tax to a specific goal, not the general fund. ——- However, we have been serving under an underground government where legislators write legislation (Bills) for their favored and slide these bills under major, high profile legislation that is completely unrelated to the titles. —– Fairly recently, a tax Bill was passed (really George Bush’s “no” increase in tax extension) and in its passing 14,000 other unrelated bills were slipped in to serve the Legislator, his cohorts, or his agenda. These “earmarks” or laws providing benefits to special people have been providing reparations without calling it reparations among other things. The special benefits provided were more costly than the savings contained in the TAX BILL.
We can react to bad government or participate to keep the government under control before they control us.

Let me make myself perfectly clear: I am not advocating any sort of rebellion, armed action, or any sort of “pro-active” militant action to take our nation back at this time… it is too late for that since the vast majority of the American population HAS NOT WOKEN UP. Although caution is suggested, it sounds to me that it may only (and hopefully) be a preparation for a possible economic collapse similar to what was faced during the depression when thousands lost their homes and had no where to live except to, well, camp. If they prepare now, they can help citizens if and when this happens again.
It is also possible that those body bags and meals have been used, considering how many they have to use on normal disasters such as hurricanes and tornadoes, but look how many they had to use on Katrina and yet they still weren’t prepared.
I am not saying that you shouldn’t be prepared if the worst happens, but remember this is a worst case scenario based on strewn together facts. It is rare that one puts all the ducks in a row AND somehow strikes all the ducks with the same bullet.
So, a word of caution, THINK before you ACT. Most likely AND hopefully, this is an over reaction. HOWEVER, don’t just brush this stuff off. Because even if the grain of reason I suggested was to happen, it’d still be a disaster that we as US Citizens, hell, as people of this planet, will have to face together.

Has anyone here, at this site, actually seen a facility and/or have first hand experience that this/these facilities are FEMA? (From the outside, that is)
Finding a site may be harder than just driving around looking for it to be marked FEMA Detention Camp in large letters on buildings. If they are setting up for this, I would think that empty prisons (few if any), BRAC’d military installations that have not been given back to the local gov or large accessible fields would be the way they’d go. The RFI had tents listed and that means big GP tents to house 20- 30 people per tent. We need eyes and ears on the inside and we don’t have them as yet.
@Jeff: Three Juvenile detention centers were closed near me here in Florida. We have been told that the Feds. have/are taking the places over for training. Training? They are perfect, if that is the correct way to state it, sites that can house numerous sheep. The strange thing is the one facility was build in 00/01, the Governer of Florida said it was to be closed due to budget cuts, really then why were they transfered to another (juveniles) facility here in Florida, its stinks really bad! For the region i live in, Avon Park is a bombing range used by the military. When i went through the Police Academy we used one of the runways for our defensive driving block. This base IS THE FEMA CAMP FOR THE REGION!
Here in Portland OR, we have a 6 year old detention facility that was originally supposed to have been built for jail overflow. It is fully stocked and ready to activate on as little as 24 hours notice. It is in a remote part of the area, in an otherwise industrial zone. While the City of Portland threatened to open it a few times, it has never had an inmate set foot in it yet. I expect lots of little “sleeper” facilities to pop up all over the place.
I wouldn’t mind a little organization around here.

EA, I have not. But I do remember reading an article that was not the tin foil hat type, but was about a budgetary issue about 2 years ago. In the article they talked about how the U.S. House had introduced a bill to provide DHS with the resources to build something like 14 camps/facilities in the event of a “terrorist attack.” The article, like I said, was not discussing the nature of the camps, but was discussing the Congressional spar/debate over the fact that there were already 20 some odd (IIRC) camps that had been created through FEMA, and that could be used without the addition of more camps operated under DHS. This was in a major newspaper, but I don’t recall which one. I just remember reading it and thinking “It’s right there in plain view, even though they’re only talking about whether it’s a waste of money or not.” I believe one of the female Reps in Florida proposed the bill, but I don’t remember for sure.
The fact is, that the camps to exist, though there is debate over their purpose, number, etc. THe fact is that something is coming, and it’s past time to be self reliant. Take care, and God bless.

I am pretty much a hard headed old SOB. I can usually smell BS and prefer to see things for myself. I guess you could say in 50+ years I’ve seen more than a couple of con men and read some things on the net that turned out to be BS.
I have heard many times that there were FEMA camps all over the country. One was supposed to be in Sheridan, OR. which ain’t all that far away. So one day here a couple of years ago I jumped in my rig and went to put my own eyeballs on it. There is a minimum security federal detention center there. It doesn’t appear to be able to house more than a few hundred folks unless they were gonna have people sleeping in the yard. Unlike California Correctional Center in Susanville, CA. (where I have been to visit a family member) the perimeter of the facility in Sheridan is just a chain link fence. Not even topped with concertina wire. No high voltage fence in between two fences like at Susanville. One 8 foot chain link fence seperates the “prison” from a public park / fishing hole. There is a gate where people could go from the facility to the park. I was laughing because I could’ve hooked my (four wheel drive, 3/4 ton diesel) rig to the fence and easily opened a 50 foot exit. I sure hope they don’t plan on holding anyone in there. Hell Michael Moore would be able to get over the fence just to get to McDonalds. (well, the fence might collapse but it wouldn’t stop him)
I’m wondering if the camps, as mentioned in KBR’s RFI, are just to provide shelter and living facilities for active duty military personnel while they snag them there terrorists.
If ANYONE actually, truly, really has pictures of a FEMA camp (not Linda Thompson’s train repair facility) that they have taken themselves I would LOVE to see them. I’m not saying the camps do or do not exist. I AM saying POA ain’t seen one.

of course there will be gates and fields and things that openly look “normal”. that is the way the japanese americans interrment camps looked in the usa and canada. those poor folks lost everything they had to something like this. they were rounded up, some families were split up, they were pput on trains and buses and then dumped in no mans land. they had to have passes to leave the encampment and there were military guards post on duty. if they were lucky they had enough food and medicine. if they were lucky they had outhouses. if they were lucky they had blankets to use for privacy when sleeping. and the german americans were treated the same way. we are talking alot worse that how we treated native americans and the reservations. interrment is nothing more that a politically correct way of saying concentration camp.

I work for DHS (active duty Coast Guard), and this FEMA-camp-mass-fear-monger thing is hilarious. FEMA is administrative in nature — not operational. I’m not sure exactly where this theory came from that FEMA is creating death camps throughout the country, but I think of it sort of like the Army Corps of Engineers developing hit squads and sniper teams. Yeah, right.
There are many problems in the world to be concerned with that are very real and rapidly deteriorating, but FEMA is not one of them.
The thing that concerns me the most, however, is that these theories are so popular. It displays a fundamental mistrust of government, which I can understand and think is probably healthy in terms of the responsibility of citizenry. But — this FEMA death camp thing is a distraction from reality. It is fun to talk about, however.
Rarely does “the other side” come into a forum like this and shed light on reality. Should you be prepared for emergency and disaster? Yes, absolutely. Government can only do so much. Does big government protect its own interest? Yes — just like all major institutions. We forget, however, that WE are government, and that the “opposition” is US.
FEMA death camp? Fiction. If you want to prepare — then prepare for reality which makes our country stronger as individuals weave into strong communities.

Patrick, First of all thank you for your service, Sir. And for being willing to share your knowledge and shed some light on this claim of FEMA concentration camps. I also know of “Emergency Ops” and have posted on here as well. I agree with everything you have said. After my husband read the posts on here, he was deeply disturbed to think that someone would shoot his @$$ over a welfare check. It became a very sad reality to him that he could be murdered over voluntarily trying to help someone. That SUCKS! You know as well as I do, that everything listed here is designed for a mobile “Incident Command Center”. These are not abnormal or unusual items..even HVAC. The simplest example I give is a Fire Command Center…Cities in themselves, to direct and provide for those that are on the lines. Some of his initial training was at a PNW Fire command. They do use all of the things listed and he was fed (catered food). The very fact the provisions are to provided for 301-2000 people speaks for itself….10,000+ responded to Katrina. I truly hope people on here will listen to a voice of reason…but I do have my doubts. Take care and God Bless you!

The easiest place to hide is in plain sight. Very large facilities in remote areas with train , road and air or sea access. Use what you have learned in all those years of life.

Tell me sir, I am a paramedic and an incident commander and have spent a lot of time in emergency command centers and I have never seen one like these internment camps. Particularly since the contsatena wire on these camps face the inside to keep people in not out. Ive never seen that anywhere other than prisons, and concentration camps. If you want to see some “real FEMA Camps” open your eyes. They are right under your noses! WalMart SuperCenters, Home Depots, Lowes. WAL-MARTs are EVERYWHERE and they are designed like FEMA camps. TPTB are preparing the sheeple to come willingly to a place to which they will be slaughtered…I have known this for years. Notice this… not so long ago the old Walmarts remodeled their “garden” center to match the new Walmarts. Anyone notice the 16ft high fence’s around the garden centers? Notice how they are separate from the rest of the store? Notice there is usually only one door into the regular part of Walmart?
I was told by a life long friend who was in Army intelligence but now works at the NSA (please dont ask who or where) that the reason we have a Walmart on every corner is…
1… the video camera that records you walking into each entrance has facial recognition and is linked to a private out sourced spy company that answers to the government.
2… They are HUGE stores for a reason… the reason is to be able to hold lots of sheeple during processing for the F.E.M.A
3…. The garden dept is an unloading area… the main store is a holding area.
4…The parking lots are SIX TIMES BIGGER than necessary (same goes for Lowes and Home Depots) Razor wire fences can be put in place around these buildings in a matter of minutes!
Anyone who doubts this possibility can go to any Walmart/Home Depot/Lowes and drive around the building… notice the garden centers resemblance to the outside of a prison… then start in the front and go around the building and count all the cameras… just on the OUTSIDE. The one closest to me has 48 cameras on the outside of the building. Why? Hmmmm we know the answer to that. Also I can point out that these super stores have generators that are WAY larger than needed to run just the store. I have first hand knowledge of this. Most of these generators are diesel powered. Most of these stores have their own fuel stations. I also know for a fact Walmart has been building HUGE stores in markets where they are oversized and losing money. Only in America will segments of society finance their own prison and detention area. Check out any Lowes homecenter or Home depot, simular layout. Ever been in a walmart during a bad thunderstorm???? they lock the doors and wont let you leave. They say its too dangerous for them to allow anyone to go. (Beta test for what’s coming!)
Wow. Never considered that, very very perceptive Lynn! I had a dream that I was being led into one of these stores. People were given free food and they all started dying. They’re going to lure people. They’re going to be sneaky about it, they don’t want anyone to catch on until they’ve killed off the numbers that threaten them!
I did not believe the whole FEMA camp thing until I visited a National Guard base last summer with one of the members. They had expanded the area within the fence three-fold and were building several dorms. I asked them if they were increasing the number of soldiers at that location and was informed these multiple story housing units for conferences.
Unsure. However, I did go to a place south of Salt Lake City that was supposedly a salvage yard. But how many salvage yards use a brick wall instead of a fence? This place looked too weird to be a salvage yard.
I doubt seriously that it was a fema camp. They would never put up a brick fence, when chain link is much cheaper , faster, and allows for much more visibility, essential for security. Must be a rich salvage yard. Did it have contsatena wire on top? If so was it facing in or out. FEMA camps have it facing in and a salvage yard will have it facing out.

In 2005, following hurricane Rita, I was among about 60 Red Cross volunteers who trucked into the hardest hit area in Texas less than 24 hours after the storm passed, in order to begin supply distribution. We operated out of the Ford Arena in Beaumont, TX. With that in mind, let me review the KBR RFI laundry list of services:
These included:
· Catering Services – two facilities provided three meals a day for the workers. The “mess halls” consisted of trailers which opened to provide cafeteria serving stations and… get ready for it… tents so we could eat out of any rains and away from the hot sun.
· Temporary Fencing and Barricades – setting up a loading yard, setting up gas and diesel facilities, separating medical facilities, etc.
· Hand Washing Stations – I hope both the catering services and volunteers washed their hands before eating.
· Laundry Services – Yep. After even three to four days this was definitely needed. Most of us travelled light and it was very nice to drop off laundry after breakfast on one day and pick it up the next day.
· Medical Services – Yep, checked into a National Guard field hospital myself to have something checked out, others also needed assistance, as did many of the refugees who came through on their way from the East Texas area on their way to shelters in San Antionia.
· Office Trailers / Administration Areas – Do we think these things run themselves?
· Potable Water – Yes, really nice to have water in 104 degree heat in Texas.
· Power Generation, Fuel Delivery / Supply and Electrical Distribution – With local power down, and no gas stations open, the trucks on the massive supply distribution lines had to be able to refuel somewhere, communications needed electrical power, as did the extraordinary number of FEMA laptops. And, we really did appreciate it when the air conditioners came on and we were able to sleep at night
· Refuse Collection – well, of course
· Shower and Toilet – I hope
· Tentage, Flooring, Electrical & HVAC – see power above for HVAC. We had a sports arena, but in some cases tents would be required.
· Waste Water Removal – Again, necessary for sanitation.
Now, all of these services were needed immediately following Rita. Ford Arena operated for at least 4 weeks following Rita… my guess is that 6 weeks was more like it. It served one or two thousand people, ranging from volunteers to subcontractors – including power and light companies, EMTs and ambulances, FEMA personnel, victim case workers for the Red Cross, Disaster Assessors, food distribution personnel who downloaded 18 wheelers to small trucks and drove to local drop off sites.
In other words, the KBR RFI calls for exactly what is needed to establish a temporary camp (and 30 days is temporary) as a disaster aid distribution center.

The National Guard train to regular army standards and it’s funny you bring up room/house searching. The way the army conducts room/house clearing is designed based on OUR home layouts and designs, not mud houses or huts as in the third world. Coincidence, I think not. One of the parts of the new agreement is the records of someone entering Canada will be made accessible to the US. They’ve upgraded crossing the US/Canada border from a driver’s license to a passport. I know for a fact, that, not only are military and police training at 29 palms marine base in california, but they also built a large scale city in the middle of the desert to practice urban and rural warfare, I have also been advised by many servicemen from all 4 branches of the military that all bases are activly buried all excess surplus weaponry, so that the civilian populus will not get a hold of the weapons. I have read about these detention centers for some time. It was to be expected. I think the OWS movement was the straw the broker the camels back. I recently read that a total of over 5000 protestors at the OWS have been arrested. Just a thought…but maybe some of the OWS protestors will be to be the first to get to go to the camps. (Think of it as phase 1 or a test to work out any problems.)

I hear the camps are for blog commenters who continue to display anti-social behavior, paranoia, ignorance and naivete. Alex Jones is being nominated as “camp leader” and you’ll get to hear his rants more often.
To a foreigner this is both interesting and scary. Nothing like this is happening over here yet. Probably because we have made all the police redundant, sent all the military overseas and we don’t have a National Guard.
Some of the posts suggest that in an EMP type situation having people in one place would aid both individuals and therefore national recovery.
Others that more sinister reasons are behind the camps.
If the former is correct, I can see the logic in the argument . Regarding the latter, as an outsider it seems to me that such large groups of people, especially people who have had the right to bear arms, and assuming they are reasonably well and able, would be very, very difficult to contain. Just how many people would they need to do that? I realise the “guards” would be armed but even so herding huge numbers of people that don’t want to be herded seems to me a recipe for disaster.

Assess what you have right this minute. Figure out how long your food would last if you could not go to the store at all. There are some spreadsheets for food storage on the web to help you get started.
After you assess your food storage, start adding to it at every grocery trip, even if you can only spend an extra $10 – that’s how my 6 month supply was built – $10 at a time!
Figure out how and if you are willing to defend your property. Is it even defendable or realistic to “bug in”? Acquire what you must for this.
Figure out 1 or 2 alternate locations you could go to if you absolutely could not stay put. Map quest at least three different ways to those places, print those maps off and keep them in a safe place.
Learn everything you can in the time you have left. There are a lot of good links on this website.
Assess.
Learn.
Acquire.
Learn some more.

These camps are for people who either don’t have weapons or don’t have the guts to use them.
There are several groups of individuals that I can think of that would love to perform the duties required to roundup and eliminate the detainee population. One: prisoners from the jails all over America. Many of the prisoners are very dangerous and would love an opportunity to get even with someone for their problems in life. Two: Foreign military personnel that are not married, with no ties to any particular country, and love violence.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 97 percent of the people in prison are useless drug offenders who only hope to get out and get high…or first-timers just wanting to see their families again. Only about 1 percent are actually dangerous to anybody but themselves. A prisoner would never want to lock anyone up—except the cop or the judge who put them there. Most prisoners are incarcerated because they don’t cow to the “rules”. Perhaps that is the same class we are all in. Think about that.
When Mr. Pres. can allow beastiality in the military now, why not put all of his enemys in fema camps. This is seeming more and more like experimental exercises in how to control the masses. Hitler comes to mind.

Part of me thinks that these camps will be similar to Reception Centers that are used within the Department of Corrections. They will be temporary holding places until they determine where you will be shipped to next. Very disconcerting thought.
So why do you disagree? I work within the Department of Corrections. What I’m reading about these “camps” sounds very similar to our Reception Centers if you read the documents. I understand that, according to various reports, there are a number of very large FEMA camps spread throughout the U.S. that are able to hold more than 1,000,000 people. These seemingly temporary camps (based on the information that was sent out for bid back in November of this year, given to Alex Jones) are documented to be smaller camps, which would work perfectly (in my opinion) as what the Department of Corrections calls “Reception Centers.”
Some people after processing in these smaller camps would be shipped to the larger FEMA camps, and others would possibly be shipped to termination camps. (Yes, sadly based on many reports I’ve read, these exist as well.) I think that if not now, these smaller camps will be used for this in the future. It makes logistical sense to me as someone who has been on the inside due to my job.
This may be my second post, but I’m not a newbie when it comes to this subject matter. Just thought I would share what I’ve been thinking since this latest news first broke. May God protect you and your families. We are heading toward some challenging times.
Lastly, for anybody reading this thread in the weeks or months ahead… These camps that will possibly be presented to the masses as “temporary safe places of refuge” in the near future (some have even mentioned this in this thread) will appear rather innocuous to most of the American people. If everyone critical of how the government has been operating is put in a camp there would be more people in then out. Maybe it will just be people that have some reasonable idea of what is happing will be incarcerated. That would probably exceed a million considering there are 310 million people in the US. That could hardly be kept a secret or have those people believably demonized so as to not wake up those remaining. If more awoke then were arrested the process is counterproductive.

It is a fact that anyone who spoke against any behavior, policy, etc. of the regime in Germany often just dissappeared in the night, or on their way to work, or they were simply hauled away in front of others. Even those considered “pureblood arians” would be silenced one way or another. Some people dissappeared forever, some were returned to their families after interrogation.
How can something this large be pulled off? Simple. Divide the country by states, and those larger states into zones. Put someone in charge and begin following the new official “policy”. Chilling, but doable.

wow serious stuff. Ok what I know for sure there is a camp across from Walmarts in Aurora, Ind. I drove through it about 6 months ago. looks abandon has the watch towers flat land. just sat there and stared at it. My mind racing remembering things read and people told me about other places like somewhere i Kokomo, indiana.. Also across the street where walmarts is on hill they are doing heavy building in the side of a mountain behind Walmarts… lots of food places around there also.. Kept meeting a senior Vet telling me stories about him burying bodies in Alosian (spelling) islands in war and how he knows Hillary. How he is one of the highest paid Vets..and many other stories about him living with a Russian..He had one of the highest ranks G3 or G5. Im not military s not sure.. Folks Im not ready trying to be but limited resources..I want to help family but not sure they all are awake also. Praying

I’m creating a page and linking it to a blog. Then, on said page I’m going to “share” links to this and other alternative news sites and articles. I’m going to update my “status” daily by commenting on something that is going on that people should be aware of. The entire plan is to open dialogue with those who might not otherwise hear the information.

Years ago I was working in a casino in CA. I worked quite a bit with this guy that was an amazingly smart person. He was a programmer and a whiz banger in computer maintenance, never saw him stumped on a problem. One day we were talking about such things as this and he told me that in the future one should watch out for sites that would lure you in as sites that address the way you think. Many of these sites will be set up by the government just to collect data on people. Several of the blog sites I have been visiting for several years, I am sure are exactly that. It takes a considerable time at a site to get the understanding of what is going on there.
Daisy, I noticed that last night too–it was very weird. Also, was it Monday or Tuesday where I couldn’t access the site at all, during the day. Afer noticing that N.O. hadn’t posted for a while, it kind of freaked me out. I also noticed that someone else had posted under my name in response to Carolie the other day…which was stupid of me to pick such an obvious name, but still, it was just weird, if they had been reading the site at all, as they claimed. I am Mama Bear, dammit! Maybe there is another site that we should post on regularly in case this is down…something more innocuous like Rural Revolution or some such.
It also made me wonder, why the heck am I checking in every day here? There are thousands of websites with comments sections that I completely ignore. Just a very interesting community I guess. Ya bunch of freaks! 🙂

I don’t trust FEMA at all. I lived through Hurricane IKE, I did not see any water, no MREs, didn’t see any FEMA aid in our area which is on S/E side of Houston. The only aid we saw was 100 miles inland in a little dinky town, not even a stop light, the local volunteer fire department was handing our cases of MREs and water if you needed them. Hoorah for small towns….also happens to be our bugout spot.

I had to drive from Houston to Beaumont to pick up Mom-inlaw, take her back to Houston to the Airbase to get her military dependent ID renewed. On the way back home after I took her back to Beaumont, on I-10 interstate, I saw an 18 wheeler in a truckstop, the kind that hauls cars, it had black and whites on it, it is what caught my eye, like brand new Police cars! The black and white pattern was half and half with the division tween colors running diagonal….here is the weird part…in English, on the side it said CIVIL POLICE…blew me away…thought THAT WAS ODD…..talked to Mac about it as well as did some of my own research and could find NOTHING on the internet concerning this, neither could Mac….unfortunetaly I was driving at or near the speed limit, couldn’t pull off and therefor did not get a picture, so Mac couldn’t post on this as neither he nor I had the proof of what I’d seen….
Now I’m wondering more about that…especially with Obooma previously stating he wanted a civilian military force armed as well as our armed forces…we never did hear more on that…also where has all the money gone that is missing in what the feds gave away? You know you can buy and fund much armament with billions of dollars…just sayin…

i’ve seen FEMA in action, having sat through numerous hurricanes. in fact, the last time i saw them in action was after hurricane wilma. let me tell you about it.
first, my experience in witnessing them in action is little, but i have seen them. after wilma, which brought an 8 foot storm surge (higher in some places) through the florida keys, many people here lost their homes or apartments (and cars) due to the flooding, so FEMA brought in FEMA trailers, which were temporary housing (in the form of smaller trailers that you would see in any trailer park). turns out those trailers were making people sick due to the chemicals used in the production of the trailers. most of those people would have been just as well-off living in their mold/mildew-invaded homes/apartments, and they certainly would have been much better off in a simple tent.
FEMA also brough their version of MREs, which weren’t the real military MREs (which i know all about; i served four years in the US Army, 1985-89), but cheap knock-offs. how cheap?, you ask. a REAL MRE contained an entree, a side, sometimes a piece of bread, dessert, condiments package, etc. those nasty FEMA packages had bags of chips (doritos, etc), cans of beef-a-roni (*gag*)… this isn’t food, it’s crap.
while not entirely necessary, the FEMA MREs were distributed (i was given one or two by a friend and i was disgusted with the un-food that was in the packages) anyway. people were herded to the places to pick them up. it was kind of surreal… like people were simply being ‘primed’… conditioned…
while i agree with much of what US MARINES says, i don’t think i would look at my prepping plans (prepping for getting people together to resist this BS) ij the light of whether or not it’s “legal”. if the government has been hijacked, then we are in distress and all bets are off. who cares what the government says anymore?? “legal”?? for now, be as ‘legal’ as you feel you must be, for the sake of keeping a low profile and arming & informing other citizens… but who’s going to enforce ‘legality’? a rogue, foreign ‘government’ and/or their paid mercenaries? these are the very people we’re going to have to protect ourselves against. if they say something you’re doing is ‘illegal’, are you going to obey?
instead, i believe US MARINES– and every other right-thinking human– is going to triage the situation and simply do what is required at that moment and the legalities of it matter not.
i’m not going to wish anyone ‘good luck’ as luck has very little to do with it. our futures are in our own hands now. the system is broken (intentionally) and it will not fix (thankfully). embrace the changes and embrace life.
TPTB are not only going to fail spectacularly, but they’re going to go away altogether. their system cannot hold, and it won’t. take some comfort in that.
STAND YOUR GROUND, but be sensible about it.

Taking a different look at it, what if these camps aren’t for us? Maybe we’re going to be housing refugees from a country that’s going to be hit soon. I know it sounds dumb but I grew up in Miami when all the refugees from Cuba were coming over and living in tent cities.
Maybe if Iran hits Israel then we may be bringing them over here, because we have more tax dollars than we know what to do with.

Copout, hi again! I was born in Hialeah Hospital. So you know where I’m coming from literally! I know my comment was far-fetched but I always try to find another angle to every story. We witnessed the refugees first hand in Miami, but sadly I’m afraid that if there are detention camps in every state then they’re meant for us, or a select portion of us. If you’ve been married 30 years then you have a few on me but I was in school when the boat loads came over. Growing up all of my friends were Latin and yes, they are very family oriented. I do miss the Cuban food, hoping for a Pollo Tropical to open up here in the Mountains. BTW, we were right off of 49th & Red Road. Couldn’t stay, too many people there now.

Okay, gonna say it and then I am done. No one will agree with me and that is just fine. If you know anything about Emergency Ops then you will know that this list and the fact that they need to be set up in 72 hours is for “incident command centers”. Everything listed here is absolutely everything that is used/needed in one of these “camps”…from catering, to tents, to showers, and portable offices. There were 10,000 responders for Katrina….emergencies must have a command center. Has anyone ever seen a fire camp…been in one and walk through it? They are cities in themselves. FEMA got their @$$ handed to them with Katrina…the sheeples expected to be delivered from the storm. They didn’t and couldn’t move fast enough. Believe me, they appreciate those of us that are prepared, heed warnings and can take care of our own. It is the thousands of others that think the government should run to the rescue that FEMA is designed for. Ask me how I know, married to an emergency reponder, Type 1- 3 training, and NO not employed by FEMA! But he has been through all the training and has to coordinate with them. Anyone can take their training…it is online and free. Trust me when I say they are not that organized and couldn’t pull off what you are suggesting. They have nothing and bring in nothing, but people to coordinate the efforts. Hence the contracts to bring in the equipment and step up operation. A well prepared community doesn’t have to call on FEMA, they can handle the situation locally. FEMA is not very good at what they do…a lot of criticism. I believe this is a step to improve their response. With that said, you are all doing the right thing….be prepared for any emergency…natural disaster or man-made. ps. I am now “prepared” for you to rip apart what I have said and that is fine. Common sense and a little knowledge of how it all works is my back-up. One other thing, while my husband does work in emergency management his service regarding incident command is strictly volunteer. He told me not to bother with a post as it would fall on deaf ears but I don’t listen real well when it comes to the safety of my loved ones. That being said, if you plan to shoot his @ss over a welfare check please post a sign on your door saying, “we are fine and need no assistance”, he will gladly move on. My daughter and I would like him to come home to us and preferably not in a one of the body bags that you fear. He doesn’t volunteer for that .
Thanks for the post–it does NOT fall on deaf ears. I come from a family with a lot of cops, firefighters and ex-military, and I too am distressed by some of the hatred and threats that have been directed toward people who are brave, upright, honest, hardworking, thoughtful public servants.
I dont think most people are against Public servants at all. However it is the ever increasing seizure of our rights and giving them to the public servants in the name of Safety that has people upset at them.
When I was growing up you could tell LEO off and he would just ignore you because it was your right. Today it will usually end with you in a hospital and with numerous charges against you while you try to defend yourself against an attack form the guy who is supposed to protect you.
Public servents are supposed to be just that. Public servants. But today the roles seem to be reversing and the public exists to serve them. Higher and higher taxes to pay for good salaries and fabulous retirement programs all the while our ability to make money is being reduced daily by the same people who we are supporting.

However I choose not to stick my head in the sand and pretend that what I see happening in my country day after day for over 40 years now. Yes I have been through a fire camp and many other emergency situations. I am a paramedic, incident commander, worked as a ground pounder for several years and a fireman for several more. You know the funny part is in all the emergency command centers I have been in I have never seen one where they have fences around the site, and particularly with concertina wire around the top pointed in. Nor were body bags supplied with each persons supplies. It would be wonderful if we are all wrong. But there are just overwhelming indicators everywhere that we are absolutely correct. Do you really expect them to just come right out and tell everyone what they are doing? Don’t worry that will happen soon enough. I have known that this was coming ever since I came home from Vietnam. I think that situations like that jerk your eyes open and let you see the world in a different light. I came home and could sense immediately that I had been over there fighting the communists when I should have been here at home fighting them. I wish you good luck, and hope you pull your head out of the sand in time to save your 6 and those of your families.
@NSBF: Hello, i have also been through the Incident command training, and have been a first responder. The military bases are the locations of the majority of the so-called camps. I know or at least hope those that make comments directed at shooting someone, is in reference to Military personel, foreign or domestic, coming to search their homes, harm their family members. The endgame is in all of (their) writings, Henry Kissinger stated that our military are nothing more than pawns. The second ammendment was not so we could go hunting in the woods, it was written so we could protect our homes, self, and more importantly TYRANICAL GOVERNMENT. Google Earth, Green Cove Springs, Fl. and zoom in on the air field from the old Navy Base. These run ways were full of white FEMA vans. I don’t know if Google Earth has been altered but when you zoom in you can see where every van was parked.

What stunned me was that a welding contractor was hired to weld in Shackles in box cars….The contractor couldn’t believe it! Many of the FEMA camps have access to railroads..You naysayers explain that one?

Kudos to Plain Ol’ American and Patrick. You both called it. I worked for DHS, FEMA and the majority of work above-ground is administrative and disaster-assistance related work. FEMA Camps? Detention centers? Come on folks! FEMA doesn’t even have their own evacuation plan for their own facilities.
Look at the short linked pdf file — it’s not even an official RFP. Even if it were, according to the requirements, the “camps” must have capacity for upwards of 2,000 people. That’s not a big “camp”.
Let’s do the math: The US has more than 300,000,000 people here. Know how many “camps” would be required if each planned “camp” could hold a max of 2,000 people? Now if these “camps” were hypothetical extermination centers, we’ve got a different beast to look at. But even with extermination, how long would it take to exterminate a large segment of American society in this outdated mode? Yeah.
If some evil method of genocide were to be employed, it makes much more sense to hype some mutated virus, then develop a “vaccine” for prevention, mandate the vaccine must be administered to all, then wait for the death toll to rise. Or just dump some nasty chemical in a few urban centers.

It’s not unlike that map, that that Russian professor put forward last year when he announced to the world he could see the United States splitting up in 2010 because of a collapse/civil war or civil unrest. Not too many people know this incident in South Korea just before Korean War;
people who had leftist sympathies were encouraged to join something called “League of Reformed Citizens”, and were fully accepted as full citizens after that. In return all of their addresses, friends, etc, were recorded.

We have allowed words such as war to be redefined thus circumventing the Constitution and many decades ago gold to be confiscated and replaced with paper.

What if the facilities are designed to house (not detain) people in the event of an emergency, like, say, the complete deterioriation of the U.S. Dollar, which could lead to large numbers of destitute homeless people? It was started by Richard Van Waes and the roster of directors included Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely and other highly decorated, highly respected senior officers. Although retired, these gentlemen still have high level contacts and know what the government is up to. Their Patriotism is unquestioned. Check out the website of Veteran Defenders. They’re always looking for a few more good men as defenders against a tyrannical government. I look at them as kind of Oath Keepers on steroids!
Preparing prospective victims to oppose the activation of those camps is hampered by the certainty that any patriot group will be monitored and infiltrated. The countermeasure is one-way coordination; set up a redundant central coordinating station that distributes information one way – externally, to anybody who is interested. This consists of background intelligence (camp layouts, transportation routes, schedules…) and suggested actions. The only information going INTO the sites – through proxies – will be intelligence and instructions for rebroadcast; there will be no database stored on the server that would be of any use to the badguys. Interested parties would visit the site through proxies to prevent back-tracing, and the site would stay up because of the authorities’ desire to monitor planning and their hope that they could use it to catch operators. Actual countermeasure planning and coordination would be done in small groups, meeting in person. Group-to-group coordination would be on an ad hoc basis and therefore very difficult to trace.
And let’s not forget that infiltration works both ways. Halliburton is going to need lots of low-level new hires to staff these health resorts; I suggest that patriots having no “profile” with the authorities apply for work there. Of course the badguys will know this is happening, but who are the ringers? New hires will be at or near minimum wage, hence they will be entry level employees – young people with very little “background” to investigate, even if there were funds and time available for detailed background checks on them. Monitoring them after hire won’t help much; they’ll have their marching orders before they apply for jobs and will never again have personal contact with anybody else in the movement. They will communicate one-way through cell phones and/or the Net (using proxies), and it would look damn’ suspicious if any twenty-year-old new-hire did NOT have both those amenities. Let’s get cracking on this; we need intel from inside if any other part of the master plan is to work.
First step is for local patriots in the areas where hiring is to occur “spotting” prospective patriotic infiltrators and encouraging them to apply.
It has already happened! Look at what the NOPD and other agencies did during Katrina. Criminal groups were running around robbing, raping and murdering at will. Law enforcement was more concerned with detaining honest, law abiding citizens from there homes and forcing them into the super-dome. Why would you remove families from there homes if their safe and self sufficient? I would see them as an asset and less of a drain on an otherwise strained system. They also confiscated weapons illegally from people. They have shown us their hand and how they intend to play it.

Most of these camps don’t sound large enough to hold many people of a town or surrounding area in event of disaster or emergency. In those cases, people would be glad to be there and not need barbed wire to keep them inside. If not for the towns’ citizens in need then they’re to hold prisoners who they don’t want out running around. Perhaps people of nationalities that we will be at war with like happened to the Japanese here at one time? I don’t believe there is anything in my town or even very near. People there is only one solution which can be implimented by you, the people of this country to change the federal governmental controls over your lives. You need a powerful origanization which you can influence. It is obvious that we the people cannot influence this current federal government. MAke them your sword of justice and restore the great power of the constitution. and say no to any law which violates the constitution, So, if you want to redirect the destructive force , of the central governement , tell your state representatives, governors and state courts that you want your constutuional rights perserved against all agencies who try to violate your rights. Now, lets say that YOUR STATE REFUSES to listen to your needs and respect the constitution, what answer does that send to you the citizen of this country? Think about it.
Then you will finally have the answer, you will know exactly where you the people stand, hopefully it is not on quicksand, but on solid foundation supported by your state.
Only one real way to find out. ask your state for help. Follow the example of Vermont and Some of the towns and cities in Maine. Read and become educated.. I am almost 70 and I tell all you young people out there, this country is yours, but you have to fight for it. Get your state to support your efforts, don’t be part of the PROBLEM, be the SOLUTION.
