A Georgia state lawmaker said she didn’t want to take guns away from Americans, but she also supports legislation that would seize guns from Americans. Likely missing a dictionary and basic common sense, Erica Thomas still expects us to believe that the government isn’t coming for our guns.
During an interview with Tucker Carlson, Thomas claims to not be talking about “taking the guns from law-abiding citizens, I’m talking about a ban on assault rifles. We are not trying to promote a militia. What war are we going at that we need assault rifles?” But Carlson quotes the bill Thomas herself said she supported, which states, “The Georgia Bureau of Investigation shall seize and take possession of any assault weapon, large capacity magazine, armor piercing bullet or incendiary fifty caliber bullet.” Carlson then asks how that confiscation will be received by hundreds of thousands of law-abiding gun owners in her state and in typical democrat fashion, can’t answer what a “seizure” of guns from law-abiding citizens who don’t want to give up their morally acquired property would look like.
Then the conversation between Carlson and Thomas eventually drifted into gun statistics, and The Daily Caller co-founder wondered why Thomas wasn’t calling for a ban on handguns since they are responsible for the majority of gun deaths in America.
“Don’t demagogue it with me. I am not downplaying the significance of anyone’s death,” Carlson asserted. “Since assault rifles, relatively speaking, cause few deaths, handguns cause the overwhelming majority of deaths, why are you not calling for banning handguns and seizing and taking possession of handguns…if you care so much about gun violence?”
Instead of answering the question, Thomas decided to turn it around on Carlson, insisting, “I would ask you the same question. Would you call for a ban on handguns? No, you wouldn’t!” she exclaimed. “So why can we not put a ban on assault rifles? That is the question. Why not?” This is what gun owners have to deal with almost daily: Overly emotional outburst from those who know next to nothing about guns and the way the work, and even less about the statistics they claim to care about changing.
After several more seconds of the pair talking over one another, Carlson finally cut Thomas’ mic and video feed, stating, “I give up, I’m trying to ask you adult questions and you don’t want to answer them.”
Democrats often wonder why we can’t have a civilized discussion about guns, and this video boldly declares the reason why. There’s little, if any, respect for facts or basic human rights when it comes to a person who wants more gun legislation. One simply cannot have a civilized discussion with anyone who seeks to erode the rights of others based on misinformation and fabricated statistics.
But Carlson presented an interesting question while Thomas was talking. “What if Americans don’t want to give up their guns?” There’s still not been a rational and logical response on how that would be handled from any Democrat; politician or otherwise.

Democrat, R. Daryl Fisher is a candidate for sheriff in Buncombe County North Carolina, running on the simple platform of “Justice for All.”
Daryl Fisher also says he will kill citizens of his county if they don’t turn over their guns.
In a recent speech Fisher, a Democrat, suggested killing people if they don’t turn over their guns.

Yes, sounds like a good possibility. They won’t track me though. I have a cheap trac phone and 98 percent of the time it is in a metal can so no frequencies get thro. I only take it out of the can for a minute or so to text someone and i only have 2 people to text so i rarely use it. I mostly keep it in the car to call AAA if i need a tow. At home it’s in the can and i take out to text for a minute or so. Then it goes back in the can. I check it 2x a day for messeges , but mostly it’s in the can.

This opinion underscores the lack of understanding by the majority of people with regards to our founding principles. It matters not whether the 2A is repealed or modified. The Declaration of Independence is a legal document and is the very basis for the legitimacy of the US Constitution. In the Declaration of Independence, We the People postulated the self evident truth that all men are endowed with certain unalienable rights. In addition, we said that governments are instituted among (not above) men to secure these rights. When the US Government actively becomes destructive of these rights not only does it initiate the duty to alter or abolish said government it destroys the very legitimacy upon which the government is founded. Repealing the 2A in no way, shape or form diminishes or curtails those rights which we have been endowed with by our Creator. The path that certain members of the political class, the media and academia want to go down can result in nothing less than a bloody and horrific internecine conflict wherein the people are forced once again to assert that powers not derived from the people are unjust, tyrannical and justification for hostile action. Following a thread on a relatives fB page I had a wanna be marine say he would take my weapons if ordered. I have taken the same oath as every member of the military has. I will not violate it. But lets be perfectly clear, I will not comply with any order to surrender my firearms. The line is drawn, I will do whatever I have to do to hold that line until my last heartbeat.
Any member of the military or law enforcement that would violate their oath to the constitution deserves neither the title nor recognition for their service. Only one penalty for treason and prisoners won’t be taken. No Geneva convention, no Rules of Engagement. they open that can and laws won’t matter anymore. As a big fan of Tucker, I also saw the discussion. Tucker frequently invites liberals to discuss the fallacies in so many liberal positions. Many liberal guests fail to engage in an honest discussion and revert to the Democrat talking positions. They often talk over the person with another view as so many liberals failed to learn about civil decorum. I believe this particular guest did not want to acknowledge that “seize” in the bill she supported would absolutely lead to many deaths as defenders of the Constitution would not willingly cede their 2nd Amendment right to a lawless government. The Bill of Rights does not list “rights” granted by government – these “rights” are God-given and may not be taken by government.

Most gun owners frame their right to own guns solely as protection against criminals, this is both wrong and insufficient to use for argument. In reality, TPTB frame gun control as a means to strip the population of their rights to own firearms so that the citizens cannot defend against a tyrannical and illegal authoritarianism. Though perfectly valid, gun rights advocates are handicapping their fight using the protection against criminals arguement only. The 2nd Amendment was placed into the Bill of Rights for all citizens to prevent tyranny. There was no need to state a Constitutional right for protecting oneself against criminals by using a firearm as the legitimacy to do so was naturally and universally understood. Nor for purposes of allowing hunting, this is obviously absurd. The ones using these as arguements against gun rights know it too.
The universities, colleges, and school systems, various “civil rights” organizations, MSM, and others, in the US are doing their best to inculcate the young not only against the 2nd Amend., but against all our rights in conjunction with destroying critical thinking. This is an important part of political correctness, to inhibit individual expression and empowerment. Now we see the fruit, programmed masses are demanding a curtailment of their own rights, even calling freedoms and liberty racist. You can even find a video or two where young people are instructed to not listen to older people (so that they don’t learn about the freedoms and rights we enjoy).
Does everyone know for example in England; to use physical force to defend oneself, is actually illegal. The authorities don’t want people to defend themselves because this is a highly individual act, independent of authority, the gov’t doesn’t want people to perform acts of individual empowerment. I want to preface my next statement by saying I am not a racist; I saw on video a black woman saying too many black men were getting shot by white folks when breaking into their homes, that was one of the reasons she was protesting against guns. And then another saying it was better to be raped or robbed (regardless of race) than to carry a gun to protect oneself – they have been successfully propagandized.
We need to keep in mind once the TPTB are able to nullify the 2nd Amend. nothing will stop the elimination or abridgment of all other rights. A line has to be drawn; with extremely rare exception, those who hold any kind of political office at any level of gov’t are not our friend, the people will have to speak independently of any “official” forum. I live in a state where it is illegal to use a firearm to protect yourself in public.
If you protect yourself at your residence, business, or place of sojourn, they will arrest you and confiscate your gun, which you will never get back.
We have universal gun registration with the state. They also register gun owners in a Federal data base “rap back”.
You have to get permission from the government to buy a gun.
Part of that may include a statement from a physician that you are not crazy, most medical people will not provide such a letter due to liabilities. If you get turned down for a gun purchase, you are required to turn in all the registered guns you already own.
If you legally own a gun in Hawaii you have really climbed a high mountain.
I live next to a large property and I frequently hear automatic weapons fire. I know of another private range that is probably illegal. I don’t call the cops and nobody else does.
Why? I don’t care and I know the cops will NOT show up for a day or so.
There are more registered guns in Hawaii than there are people.
Granted many people own more than one gun. But there at least as many if not more guns that are not registered. I’ve met people whose names escape me, that have Grandpas, Uncles, and Dads guns
that were never registered.

HIM, I DID go out to buy more ammo yesterday and it was damn near sold out of 5.56 and .223. 9mm wasn’t easy either. Magazines of 30 round and 20 round were just about gone.
