Back in March of 2020, when the coronavirus fearmongering from politicians and big money media was taking off, an outbreak of coronavirus and several deaths on the Diamond Princess cruise ship was among the examples used to stir up the dread of coronavirus among the American populace. However, people who looked critically at the Diamond Princess situation realized that it suggested coronavirus did not pose an especially great threat.

Among those more levelheaded individuals was John P.A. Ioannidis, a Stanford University professor of medicine and professor of epidemiology and population health. Looking at the infection and fatality numbers from the Diamond Princess, Ioannidis concluded in a March 17, 2020, Stat News article that the coronavirus case fatality rate in the general population would be no greater than the one percent case-fatality rate on the cruise ship and would most likely be much lower, noting that the Diamond Princess had “a largely elderly population, in which the death rate from Covid-19 is much higher.”

Ioannidis got it right. But that did not stop the government from shutting down much of the American economy and violating freedom Americans had long assumed secure, all in the name of countering the hyped coronavirus threat.

Fast forward to December of 2021. We are now well into the phase of gaming the coronavirus panic where governments are applying intense pressure on people to take experimental coronavirus “vaccine” shots. Having already blown way out of proportion the threat from coronavirus, politicians, and people in the big-money media repeatedly assert the safety and effectiveness of these shots despite the abundant evidence that the shots are far from being either safe or effective.

Just as the Diamond Princess cruise ship coronavirus outbreak helped expose early on the preposterousness of the fearmongering regarding coronavirus, now outbreaks of coronavirus on cruise ships are helping expose the preposterousness of claims that the experimental coronavirus vaccine shots are effective.

Meryl Kornfield wrote Saturday at the Washington Post regarding the situation of coronavirus outbreaks on cruise ships whose crews and passengers are required to have taken the shots:

At least six sailings on Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Carnival and others last week were altered by coronavirus outbreaks as cruise ships prepared for pre-pandemic levels before sailings were paused. Although vessels that have resumed cruising have beefed up coronavirus precautions — requiring vaccinations and testing passengers — the wave of new infections, fueled by the quickly proliferating omicron variant, has knocked the devastated industry and alarmed cruisers.

As in the early months of the coronavirus scare, considering critically what is happening on cruise ships now provides a means to see past the disinformation. The reality on cruise ships, in March of 2020 and in December of 2021, has provided a strong contrast to, respectively, the hyped danger of coronavirus and the hyped efficacy of the experimental coronavirus vaccine shots.

The problem with creating panics for political purposes is that they lose their impact among most people as they start normalizing in the public mind and no longer produce the high level of fear they created initially.

Particularly so when the cause used to induce them fails to have the effect it was initially claimed it would have, a crying wolf sort of thing.

          @Anonymous,
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.” ― H.L. Mencken

As an old person, the article states “a largely elderly population …” that tells the tale. Old folks die much more frequently than young folks. Old folks are much more susceptible to what would be minor disease for young folks. From my experience – old folks take cruises more frequently than young folks. When did our society become so stupid as to think old folks wouldn’t die?

For heaven’s sake, don’t allow snowflakes (the woke crowd) to influence your own analysis. Snowflakes think they know, but have insufficient experience to know their true ignorance.

Agree: they misleadingly moved the bar on health and longevity to make the virus seem worse. Old and sick people die. They always die. They will only stop dying when they get life extension technology.

Low Vitamin D, burkha-wearing, lazy, fat Muslim women get sick easily. Is that a surprise? Do we really care if such a person is taken out by the flu?

Give me a tanned, slim blonde lady who likes to run, ski, go to nude beaches every time.

The sort of person who goes on cruise ships is old and fat. Like, grossly, disgustingly fat. And when you are that fat and that old, you have multiple chronic conditions, diabetes, gout, high blood pressure, etc. They are a terrible group of people to use as a control group because they are the worst of the population.

A rabbit’s fart could wipe them out let alone the flu.

      6. toony loons

        Yes, we now have FLURONA
        People who allegedly have
the flu and the “covid” at the
        same time. You can’t make
        this shit up.?????

A vax-weakened American (and Canadian) population will be less able to stop forces of civil war, separatism and succession into psuedo-statelets under EU oligarchical control.

        Just sayin’.

It doesn’t make sense for Europe Firsters like Soros to undermine their American enforcer, unless the fear that America will finally wise up and stop backing European wars is guiding their geopolitics.

Eisenhower said no. Clinton and Obama almost did except for Hiliarity Clinton. Trump was the first President not to start a new war; Biden actually followed through on Afghan withdrawal plans and has so far nixed backing a Ukraine war with Russia using U.S. troops.

The EU just needs the money to fund their own EU army, and an EU Foreign Legion. They can only get that by being the bank of the Americas, and can only do that if the USA and Canada, as they are, are out of the way, ‘reset’ into more manageable bits.
