Editor’s Note: Millions of Americans are trying to figure out what to do following the launch of the Affordable Care Act and its broad implications for our economy, liberty, and our personal financial well being. Not “no”, Mr. President – But, HELL NO.
I will not comply with Obamacare.
There. I said it.
I am unequivocally not going to be complying with Obamacare.
I also won’t be purchasing health insurance at 4 times the regular price, nor will I participate in the government-funded “exchange” for “affordable” healthcare.
Now, first, let me be clear – this isn’t because I’d be paying $20,000 per year for the crappiest coverage. In reality, Obamacare and the subsidies my family is eligible for would make the cost incredibly reasonable – but that is not the point.
The point is this: I am an American, and as such, I refuse to be forced to purchase anything else. I have already been forced to have car insurance, forced to purchase annually the “privilege” of driving via a license and having a (paid-for) car on the road via a license plate, and forced to pay taxes on my income and every purchase that I make.
When I moved back home to America after living in Canada, I never expected to be subjected to government coercion on this grand scale. I will not comply. The government is fond of saying that they will not negotiate with terrorists. Well, neither will I – and the US government under the reign of Barack Obama is the biggest terrorist organization around.
Michael Rivero of What Really Happened gives the best explanation I’ve seen for why the government is so intent that everyone must participate in this program. They have run the country into the ground and want to force us all to pay as they vainly struggle to keep things afloat. This is a last ditch effort – the only alternative is economic collapse.
Obama’s utter refusal to compromise or delay Obamacare is more than mere political grandstanding. Obama has to prove he can continue to make the payments on the government debt. Now, based on reports we are getting form people who did sign up for Obamacare, they are being offered policies that cost about $500 a month, and have a deductible in the tens of thousands. That means that for the vast majority of Americans, they will be paying $500 month for insurance that will in fact pay none of their medical costs. So, $500 a month is $6000 a year times 200 million complying Americans equals $1.2 trillion a year pouring into the Health Insurance companies as pure profit, of which the US Government gets almost $200 billion in taxes (plus the IRS fines on those who refuse to sign up). And THAT is why Obama is demanding that Obamacare move forward now, despite a totally botched computer management system and despite 71% public opposition. Absent that new cash flow, the US Government will collapse, and the one year delay proposed by the House of Representatives is far to long to survive without some new source of loot from the public. It’s clear that our non-compliance in large numbers could stop this madness. We just have to say, “No. I will not comply.”
Why is this such a big deal?
There are numerous reasons for my planned non-compliance.
1.) People who make more money than I do should not be forced to subsidize my health care. I have no desire for a handout and this is assuredly a handout. One of my closest friends will be paying over $15,000 per year for a family of 5. With the small amount that I’d pay for my family, it is quite clear that my friend, and others like him, would be paying for us. I have always paid my own bills and don’t expect others to take up my slack. I am not a welfare case.
2.) Despite the fact that my family is apparently far before the poverty level, we don’t feel poor. We have everything we need and some of what we want. I budget carefully in order to be able to pay for things like the emergency trip to the dentist for my daughter last week. My child wears nice clothes to school, always has enough to eat and seems to feel that she has the same privileges and possessions as her friends do.
3.) This is going to delete the middle class. Once the wheels are truly in motion, there will no longer be a middle class. Everyone will be dirt poor or well-to-do. There won’t be any middle ground, as average folks watch their expenses skyrocket. Soon people will be forced to make the choice between Obamacare and food.
4.) This is just another way to make the populace dependent on the benevolence of government. Much like the push to put people on food stamps, what better way to make people dependent than to force them to accept this type of assistance? If private health insurance continues to spiral wildly, then almost no one will be able to afford health care without Obamacare.
5.) This is an assault on my medical privacy. Does the government need to know a person is depressed? If a woman skipped a mammogram that they feel is vital? That someone might have opted for an “alternative” treatment? If they have an STD? If they have a sexual dysfunction? NO. It directly violates the doctor-patient privilege. Furthermore, data has already been leaked and the system isn’t even live yet – all sorts of non-medical-professionals will have access to my personal information, both medical and financial.
6.) I’m not having my family’s health care decisions made by other people. What happens when I refuse to vaccinate my children? Right now, that is my choice, but when someone else is paying for it, will I still have the option to say no? I always opt for the least chemical, least invasive treatments possible, but when someone else pulls the strings will that still be an option? If I refuse treatment will they refuse payment? Will I no longer be allowed to leave my home during flu season if I don’t get the flu shot?
What are the ramifications of non-compliance?
Noncompliance with Obamacare has harsh penalties. The government wants you to feel as though you have no choice whether or not you participate. The scare tactics are already operational, as one man found when he attempted to opt out of the online sign up.
A man who attempted to sign up for Obamacare online was told that a fine of over $4,000 dollars a year for refusing to take out mandatory health insurance could be taken directly from his bank account, and that his drivers license would be suspended and a federal tax lien placed against his home, according to an entry on the HealthCare.gov Facebook page. If you refuse to comply, here are some of the potential punishments you could be subject to, according to a Senate research document called The PPACA Penalty Provision and the Internal Revenue Service.
#1. You will be assessed a penalty by the IRS on your tax bill. You will be told to pay the fine and will not receive any retroactive health care coverage – in other words, you get nothing for your money.
If you skip the insurance, you’ll pay a penalty. For 2014 the fine is $95 for an individual or 1 percent of your income, whichever is greater, along with $47.50 per uninsured child, maxing out at $285 for the year.
But by 2016, an individual would pay $695 or 2.5 percent of your income.
The TurboTax website has a calculator to help you determine how high a penalty you’d pay.
Without insurance, you’d also face a double whammy. By 2016 you’d be forking over almost $700 to the federal government and having nothing to show for it, and still have to pay your own medical bills if you’re injured or become ill. (source)
#2. If you, like me, refuse to pay that penalty, they’ll up the stakes by withdrawing the penalty from any tax refund that you are due.
#3. If you aren’t due for a tax refund that they can seize, and you still refuse to pay the penalty, the next step might be for the IRS to pursue the penalty in the same way they would any non-payment of taxes.
Section 5000A(g)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) states that “the penalty provided by this section shall be paid upon notice and demand by the Secretary.” Subject to certain exceptions, the penalty is to be assessed and collected in the same way as assessable penalties. Assessable penalties generally are assessed and collected in the same manner as taxes.15 (source)
#4. This could include “silent” liens on your property which you wouldn’t even know about until you tried to sell something big like your home or your car.
Once the tax is assessed, the taxpayer will receive a Notice and Demand for Payment, which will advise the taxpayer of the balance due—the sum of the assessed tax plus interest and applicable penalties—and request payment in full within ten days. If such payment is not made, a federal tax lien will be created under § 6321 of the IRC.18 This is often referred to as a silent lien because, at this point, there has been no notice of federal tax lien (NFTL). Without notice, the IRS’s claim against property still takes priority over most other claims; however, certain claims would be superior to the IRS claim. These include a subsequent purchaser of the property as well as holders of security interests, mechanic’s liens, or judgments, even if they arise later in time.
Generally an individual taxpayer may receive up to 3 more notices requesting payment. The last of these notices is sent by certified mail and is a notice of the IRS’s intent to levy the taxpayer’s assets to satisfy the tax debt. This notice also advises delinquent taxpayers that the IRS may file a NFTL if payment is not made within thirty days. If none of these notices results in payment or a payment arrangement,20 in most cases the account is then transferred to the IRS’s Automated Collection System (ACS) (source)
#5. Next they could potentially empty your bank account and take your property and sell it out from under you.
Thirty days after providing a Final Notice of Intent to Levy and Notice of Your Right to Appeal, the IRS may levy the taxpayer’s property, both real and personal.22 This means that wages may be garnished until the tax is paid in full. All funds in a bank account that are available for withdrawal on the date the levy is received by the bank may be taken.23 In some cases, the IRS may sell property belonging to the taxpayer after providing public notice and advising the taxpayer of the minimum bid price. #6. No mention is made of taking away your driver’s license, but if you happen to be a federal contractor things could get hairy.
Delinquency in federal taxes is a ground for debarment of a federal contractor. However, debarment is not an automatic process and requires that the contracting agency initiate debarment proceedings against a government contractor. (source)
#7. But maybe they won’t really do it. According to the PPACA, the IRS cannot go further than the silent liens for this particular penalty.
Section 5000A(g)(2) of the IRC limits the means the IRS may employ to collect the penalty established in the section. First, the taxpayer is protected from either criminal prosecution or penalty for failure to pay the penalty. Second, the IRS is prohibited from either filing a NFTL or levying any property in an effort to collect the penalty. There is no prohibition, however, on establishing a statutory lien against the taxpayer’s property under § 6321. No additional limits are placed on the IRS using correspondence or phone calls, either through its own employees or through private collection agencies, in an effort to collect the amount owed. Additionally, no restriction was placed on the IRS’s ability to use the refund offset as a means of collecting the amount due.
Those who are required to pay the penalty for failure to maintain minimum coverage but choose not to do so will be subject to increases in the amount owed due to interest and late payment penalties imposed on the penalty after it has been assessed by the IRS. The IRS may impose interest on tax, including penalties, under § 6601(a), (e)(2), and it may impose penalties under § 6651(a)(3).
A taxpayer who chooses not to pay the required penalty may ultimately forfeit more than the amount ofthe penalty if that taxpayer is ever in the position of having an overpayment to the IRS for any reason, since the refund offset applies not only to overpayments shown on original tax returns, but also to any subsequent adjustments, for example an audit by the IRS that results in an overpayment. Further, as explained above, it is possible that the IRS could present its claim when property is being sold and collect both the original penalty amount along with accrued interest and applicable penalties. I’m not a lawyer, but it appears to me that, according to this federal document, the absolute worst case scenario is that you would be assessed penalties on your penalties and the only way they could collect those would be if you sold your home or car. The trustworthiness of both the government and the arm of enforcement for this, the IRS, are dubious, but according to the codes that I am reading, that looks like the ultimate allowable collection strong-arm tactic. (You might still want to consider only letting minimum amounts of money remain in your bank accounts, however.)
Join me in saying no.
So, Obama regime, bring it on. I’m not just saying no, Mr. President. But HELL, no.
I am ready and waiting for the assaults from the IRS. I understand that within a period of time, I won’t be able to sell any large items that I have paid for – and that is fine – I would prefer to give them away than to pay this blood money. I have read the penalties and realize what I’m in for. I also know how other people who have said no have been treated – the IRS auditors are released like stealth weapons, destroying lives, shutting down accounts, and seizing property in order to make an example out of the resistor.
However, I’m done. I will not be forced anymore. I don’t really care what the Supreme Court says – I have also read the Constitution, and no place in it does it contain the phrase, “Participation in Obamacare is your duty as an American.” Mike Adams of Natural News referred to this as “unlimited theft and confiscation.” And he’s right.
I’ve started a page on Facebook called We Will Not Comply with Obamacare, where I can pass on all of the information I come across regarding noncompliance with Obamacare. Please join me there if you have a social media account. Based on the figures that Michael Rivero put forth, the refusal of a small percentage of us to participate in this extortion could throw a giant cog in the wheels of this plan. If we have learned anything about resistance over the last few years, it is that the power of social media can be an enormous factor in educating the public and letting the government and large corporations know that our voices will be heard.
Sometimes revolution can be as simple as stating a calm and unwavering, “No. I will not comply.”

In reality, you have been forced to do nothing, but have been coerced into volunteering for the sake of convenience.
With the idea it is OK to be forced to purchase some things, your not being willing to be forced to comply with a similar requirement is a little hypocritical.
If you want to make a statement that can be heard, quit being or feeling forced to buy any of it. What’s the penalty for driving without a license or a plate or insurance?
A fine of 10% of the cost of insurance and less than a license plate? Will they suspend what you do not have? They can’t take your property without a jury trial, if you push the issue.
Go all in, or go home. Millions of people going all in will be heard.
Millions of people disregarding Obamacare will accomplish nothing because they will just find other ways to steal it. Millions of people refusing to register themselves and their property would let the corp goons know where they stand.

God’s Creation: No, you’ve been coerced, not forced. You wrote those checks for your insurance and driver’s/vehicle licenses, it wasn’t just taken from your bank account. Failure to do so simply means you’d be driving like many folks w/o these things who get into accidents or pulled over for various violations every day-your car towed and impounded with a ticket to appear for not having said items. It happens to hundreds, if not a few thousand, every day across this country to folks who are living on the financial edge and chose not to pay for theses things. They are willing to take their chances. Many get away with it for years. I knew a fellow who kept his expired New Jersey plates on his (old) car for several years here in Florida just to avoid these payments. It all depends on what your willing to risk.

I have been denied the RIGHT to drive for six years and counting. My license was suspended and then revoked in Alabama for speeding, no insurance, and driving while suspended. There is and was no possibility of obtaining any kind of hearing or to challenge or contest it in any way. The initial term of revocation was supposed to be three years (over in 2011), but every time I get pulled over and ticketed it’s another 6 months, end of story. So here I am six years later with no end in sight, cause how the fuck am I supposed to live without a vehicle?
Over the past 10 years I have paid probably $20,000+ in fines and fees into the state’s coffers. I recently had to sue the Director of “Public Safety” in Alabama, at a cost of $1,500 in order to have the revocation overturned. Now my license is officially (temporarily) considered valid in Alabama, but this is useless to me here in Michigan…as THIS state claims I owe them $6,000 in “Driver Responsibility Fees”, which must be paid in order to have my “Michigan license” (which I never applied or asked for) to be reinstated. Without a Michigan license, I can’t even get Michigan insurance if I wanted. And without insurance I can’t even get a tag.
I am a gearhead who absolutely loves hot rodding. I own two Mustangs which I can’t even drive cause every cop in town knows I don’t have a license. Can you imagine what it feels like to be absolutely DENIED not only a basic right, but a hobby that one loves? So I have to drive my beat up old pickup truck which doesn’t even get a second look, despite it still having the same license plate from when I bought it seven years ago.
So how do I feel about this? This government has made me their implacable enemy. I WILL NOT comply. I WILL NOT give them a dollar more. I WILL FUCKING NOT buy ANY insurance, ever. I WILL continue to drive, and there isn’t a fucking thing these fascist shitheads can do to stop me. FUCK these pathetic pieces of shit. I will FIGHT AND KILL for this to become a free country again. Both driving and vehicle are commercial terms used in statutes. They do not include any car, truck, or automobile used for private purposes.

Well that’s wonderful, but you’d do well to stay out of towns and off of public roadways were cops are just looking for reasons to give tickets to get money for their cash strapped communities. You can spout all that stuff to the cops but if they’ve been federally trained you’ll be seen as a “Sovereign Citizen” type and they WILL draw down on you because there have been a number of shootings with these types. The Kehoe brothers in Ohio in 1997 was the first big one; James Wesley, Rawles book “Patriots” has this story loosely told in chapter 6, with a different outcome. In 2010 in West Memphis Arkansas, a sovereign citizen father-son team shot and killed two cops and were themselves latter killed in a shootout. The SPLC along with the BATFE and FBI have been training cops nationwide on these “resisters” who don’t feel the need for licenses, registrations, and insurance and who won’t recognize police authority. So you can rant all you want here but if you try that crap with a cop that’s been trained, you’ll end up dead, or at the very least, in jail with your vehicle impounded and some court fines. And if you don’t pay the fines, they’ll issue a warrant and lock you up again because they need the money and they need to show that they can crush resisters. Each encounter will be SWAT like because you’ll be marked as a “violent resister”. Lots of luck with that strategy pal. Me, I’m keeping my mouth shut and my head down because I want to be free WTSHTF, not dead or in jail. Some of us just refuse to comply with their commercial system because it does not allow for freedom or respect the Law of the Land, only control by criminals. I am not a Sovereign Citizen. I am Man and a constitutional American Citizen, the sovereignty part is built into the Law.
In the event I ever do get stopped, I will do what is required to protect myself, and that does not involve shooting anyone. A small crack in the window to slide my identification through is all that will be needed. They say ALL I have to say.
If that is not enough and the “officer” in question feels a need to exert unnecessary force against me, that will be his choice. If he wants to write a ticket, he can slide it through the same crack in my window and I will deal with it later.
I will simply stay within the protective confines of my truck no matter what. It is paid in full and private property not engaged in commerce. With my HD camera filming every bit of it, and making calls to the local news and a few other folks while the criminals plan and commit their crimes against me.
My identification documents politely inform the officer of my intent to peacefully vacate the scene and carry on with my private business in 5 minutes from the time he is handed the Notarized identity documents, unless I am placed under arrest and an injured victim brought forward. They also inform him that he is being recorded and possibly streamed to You Tube in real time. He should be far more scared of the truth of what he is doing than of me.
Whether or not he violates the law from that point on is up to him. I have done all I am required to do by identifying myself through state validated documents that place me outside of his commercial jurisdiction.
And don’t associate me with idiots like your examples of whacked out nut jobs highlighted by the SPLC, which is nothing more than a propaganda outfit. I have documents that identify me, and that is all I have to provide in the event I am ever stopped for anything. It need not be a state issued ID, it is acceptable in any court as a positive ID by virtue of notarization. The corp and it’s officers are now forced to accept that I am who I say I am in those documents.
One day I may get stopped. Hasn’t happened in many years, and one day it might. I will not try to stop the executive branch officer from issuing a judicial document called a ticket.

If you register a trust with the state, there are many rules. But there is no rule that says a trust must be registered with the state.
The terms of your trust can not be changed by the state if it is a PRIVATE trust. It is merely contract the state is NOT a party to. Registering it makes the state a party.

You are combining the Federalist Papers with Federalism and the Federalist Party, which is extinct.
James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and John Jay wrote the Federalist Papers to convince the American people to adopt the Constitution after the failure of the articles of confederation.
The Federalist Papers were by no way, shape or form an affirmation of the Federalists Party’s ideology. The Federalist Party came afterwards by a couple of years.
The sole function of the Federalist Papers were to ratify the Constitution and form a federal government. Do not parse forming a federal government with Federalists Party principles.
The Federalist Party had only 1 president, John Adams, who was booted out of office after a first term by Democratic-Republican Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.
Alexander Hamilton, who wanted a centralized bank and a nationalistic economy ultimately lost and was killed.
John Jay the last notable Federalist of the founding fathers was the first justice of the supreme court and ultimately his federalist ideology like Adams, and Hamilton’s fell on deaf ears and the party went extinct much like your brand of euro Marxism will go.
Oddly enough though the Federalists ultimately got what they so desired with the formation of the Federal Reserve a century later but that’s another story.
The issue of slavery was a divisive one much like today with abortion. To get the southern colonies on board the Founding Fathers had to negotiate on how much should a slave be considered. The necessary and proper clause combined with the commerce clause have been the vehicles to which most over reaching of federal abuses against states rights have occurred. Men like Patrick Henry had warned that in the event the people became corrupted and without morals and values then that clause could be used in a tyrannical fashion to centralize power and limit states rights.
James Madison who wrote Federalist 44 in favor of that clause, ultimately stood against it and had his previous written words read in Congress to embarrass and undermine his position.
He stood in opposition to the clauses’ incitement to a call for a national bank.
That is a perfect example of how laws are interpreted and either misused or twisted. It happened then and it happens now.

Historically, health care was a benefit which WE received through OUR employers. Big Business picked up the tab and deducted the cost as an expense; in effect, passing the cost along to government by lowering their profit margin.
Now that Bid Business doesn’t have to pay income taxes anyway because they have so many other deductions, they do not want to shoulder that cost, or pass it on to government. Better yet they can eliminate all the associated costs of dealing with health care for their employees.
Government will collect the tax from US to cover the general cost of administration of government. The fact is, that 5% of the customers will use 60% of the benefits, natural selection be damned.
Not only are WE dumbing down the population, WE encourage the sick, lame, lazy, and genetically defective to replicate their DNA on OUR tax dollar.
Engage your employees or have your DNA confiscated by them and used by Big Pharma with NO benefit or payment to you. 🙂

DK from the beginning of obamacare I was thinking somewhat along the same line that what obamacare is, is a way of shifting the insurance payment away from employer based to individual and government based in order to up the corporate bottom line. Health insurance is a labor cost and big corps have been shifting labor cost every which way they can. Off shoring of the jobs was/is just one component, obama care is another and I’m sure it wont stop there. This is why I have no faith that in the end, the Republicans will stop obamacare. They will compromise and pretend to be doing so for the republic.
Government has benefited greatly by the offshoring of labor, government programs that address the displaced workers has grown by leaps and bounds, more people than ever are dependent on government, at the same time government is bigger than ever. Why would they want to change it.
Big business has more influence in government than ever, being that they are the ones writing the checks, golden rule applies, they have the gold, they rule. Once they have completed their strangle hold on the private sector, they will go after wage, benefit and labor cost in government, the bureaucrat establishment drones will be on the chopping block. For 2 years, I had no valid drives license because I refused to gove in to the demands of DMV. I fought like hell, called the supervisor, asked her if it didn’t bother her conscience– the idea of a National ID card in place of a regular drivers license. And I went to the DMV many times, tried to reason with them, told them what they were doing was UNLAWFUL and told them that other states were not going along with this unconstitutional demand. Finally, all my anger and protests paid off. After 2 years of fighting the system, I finally got my drivers license back (I had a near perfect driving record!) but I finally got my license and didn’t give in to their demands!
I decided way before this article was written to give the GIANT middle finger to Obamacare. I refuse to be a part of that shit. The Govt can kiss my ass.

My family received a letter Friday from our health insurance provider letting us know that because of the affordable health care act, that our policy will no longer be valid in the near future. We are a family of five with three small children that we insure out of pocket and not through our occupations. The letter stated that we could buy a similar policy through the same company with nearly the same package for 1181.00 a month, as opposed to the 680.00 we were paying until recently. My jaw damn near broke it dropped so low. I am being forced now to do the very thing that a large number of Americans disapprove of to provide health care for my children. My options now are pay almost double per month or enter the pool of health care providers that I so strongly oppose. This is being governed by force and no longer an option. What the hell are my children in line for in the near future.

Now before I get a new one ripped open, I am Canadian and we have socialized health care and our idea do medical insurance is to cover glasses, dental, prescriptions, other specialists like physiotherapy and the like and in-hospital comforts like a private room or the TV. So I will honestly say I can’t understand that whole health insurance thing as you do.
But what I understand is Child Protective Services. Obama has no problems using government agencies as his enforcers against people he doesn’t like. And before long I would bet it would be considered “child abuse and/or neglect” for families with children not only to meet minimal compliance with Obamacare but who also do not have the super-extra-special-diamond-encrusted-platinum insurance coverage if they aren’t on welfare.
Be careful. If your local child services are anything like Ontario’s Children’s Aid Society, they will jump down your throat with nothing but a vague suspicion and the whole burden of proof will be on you. Furthermore, they will make their investigation fit the result they want and you will have to fight them in court. Also, they like stalling compliance with court orders they don’t like and even ignore them completely.
In fact, situation you are in, I would strongly suggest you provide your kids’ schools and/or daycare/nursery school with a letter stating you do not want CPS to have contact with them at school, citing the relevant parts of the Constitution, Bill of Rights and codes of criminal law, especially those pertaining to your rights for due process, against unlawful detention, interrogating a child without a parent present and the schools responsibility to keeping children safe.
If the schools fail to comply they are liable to prosecutions as accessory to child abduction or unlawfully detaining them.
Canadian Vet: Please don’t take this the wrong way but the main difference between the U.S. and all other former British colonies is that we were the only ones that had to actually fight for our independence. The rest; Canada, Australia, NZ, etc. were just handed it. That’s one reason we still have the remnants of a constitution with more rights than the rest of you. And we are still willing to put up a fight. I have seen some signs of outrage in the other English speaking countries and it gives me hope that we are not alone in our anger and struggle at our government’s over-reach of authority. I have two friends whom neither had insurance as they said they couldn’t afford it. Both said they don’t expect hand-outs or others to subsidize their health care. Both said they lived healthy lives to avoid health care costs. One of my friends discovered she had breast cancer and was not able to pay for any of it. Another’s husband had a skiing accident and ended up in the hospital. We know that we are going to treat those without health care insurance. We have a caring society where we are not turning folks away (or their kids) who need hospital care. But I don’t think it is fair that I have to pay for those who don’t pay any insurance. For those who say the government should not force this on us, my grandma frequently tells me stories about the rationing in WWII and how they were rationed gas and food staples. To me, requiring health care insurance is necessary and fair because we are going to treat everybody who needs to go to the hospital and you can’t say you will never need hospital or medical care.

Hospitals will treat folks and write it off, and they do it such a way that it almost seems free. The doctors and hospitals simply all increase their charges that is paid by both the insurance companies and the deductibles the paying customers are paying. In the end, it’s the doctors, hospitals, insurance companies and the insured that all get stuck footing the bill. I think the term is ‘spreading the pain’. This current plan of Obama’s is set to fail. What comes next is his real intention: nationalized health care. You are all paying for it in bits and pieces anyway, why not cut to the chase and just implement it. I’ve heard the ridiculous cries of how awful it will be yet your military has ‘free’ health care as do your disabled veterans. As I have pointed out before, currency doesn’t change date every year. It only changes when the design changes, most often when the signatures change on the front. The signatures on $20 bills haven’t changed since 2009; therefore 2009 is still printed on them. Since the secretary of the treasury changed earlier this year, there should be some 2013 bills showing up in circulation as soon as they get around to changing the design.
Yes…the date is the “series” date (look for that word beside the date) and not the date it was printed.
The new hundreds will be released tomorrow and they will probably have a date of 2010 or 2011 since they were already printed but not released. And contrary to reports (Facebook Page) they were not destroyed and over 90% of them are scheduled to be released after inspection for ink smudges.

You don’t go to a primary care doctor you end up in an county emergency ward.
Who pays? The government. Why? They mandated it, and now the government don’t like it so much.
Example. Here where we live there is a private hospital only. True story. A female Broke her lower leg and went there. Had no insurance and was given two Tylenol and transported to a county hospital 65 miles away. They couldn’t see her that night and was told to return the next day for treatment. She returned and was treated and walked away. Who paid the bill? The federal government. Why? They mandated it so. They can’t force private hospitals to treat the noninsured but have told them to stabilize and transport to the closest state or county facility. Once there some form of government program will handle the bills. Medicare, Medicaid, Medical or obscure program available to them, they will let them know, all the patient is left to do is sign on the dotted line and take a walk.
If you have ever been to an emergency waiting room and taken stock of what you see is waiting you have seen what is there mostly. Undocumented democrats with kids with the sniffles waiting for free treatment, courtesy of the federal government IE us.
The government wants to relieve itself of this and lay it off on us straight out. All of us!
The government will do this yet once again with the mass amount of revenue that they hope will be raked in with Obama care and no one will know the difference and keep the future democrats voting their way.
Another idea of Obama care is not to offer you and your family better coverage but to lower your grade of care equal to the noninsured. Even though you have gone thru life paying for your own healthcare, you will, according to the government will be a participant in their program and be only allowed the same services as any other person. Insured or not.
According to a CBO report, in 10 years only 7 million people will be paying participants in Obamacare as it stands today, and yet 30 million will STILL be left non paying and uninsured. So what is the point?
I don’t know where you live, but there’s no such thing as a government owned “county” hospital where I live. All the hospitals are corporate. And they do have to treat anyone who shows up in the emergency room, no matter what.
I think this is what hammerrun may be referring to,, in the 80’s I worked in the local county hospital 2 hours a day filing or whatever cheap BS job needed dong. Sometimes I was assigned to the debt ‘collector’. She was really that. We just contacted folks who had lots of bills and helped them set up pay plans. Even $1 per month per bill would suffice…why? Because the hospital accepted what were referred to as Hill-Burton funds. Govt subsidy that had the stipulation that these hospitals could turn no one away, and if they made any attempt to pay their bills, you could not pursue. Therefore, if ms Marlene knew someone was in bad straights, she would tell them to pay $1 per bill per month to keep it out of collections. The govt. dictated who had to be cared for. Sniffles and all.
I’ll try to get a little clearer here.
A privately owned hospital is required to “stabilize” and have” transport” respond and transport to a ” County owned or operated” hospital facility any incoming patent that fails to show proof insurance or cash or some form of ability to pay.
Failure to do so as a result, the patent will be assessed and stabilized as needed to conform to mandated regulations. Then released for transport to the “county” facility.
Be it corporate or county owned, it is referred to as a “COUNTY” facility.
Payments for treatment rendered by said “COUNTY” facility will be paid by the Federal Government as reimbursement for services rendered as required by the federal mandates.
They don’t transport them to Kaiser hospital five miles away, they are dropped off at the “County Facility.”
If you show up at a Kaiser facility with no insurance, you will be sent and referred to the “COUNTY” facility.
Kaiser is not mandated by law to treat anybody to the fullest for free. Are you kidding? They would be broke in a month. Clear as mud?
No, they charge everyone else extra to make up for what they can’t get out of us taxpayers. And as I said before, there are no county owned or operated hospitals around here. All of the hospitals here are privately owned. And they are regularly changing hands. The one in my town has had to lay off a lot of people because of insufficient revenue.
One of the Biggest Promotors of Bammy care law was the aprox 2200 usa catholic bishops group or conclave or whatever its called. As they are the main managers responsible for the over 600 hosp that are owned by the Vatican catholic church. Whether there is a county hospital involved depends on where you live. Some places work this way but where I live, we have two non-profit hospitals and they divide the uninsured expenses between them. They both complain that they end up with the majority of cases and expenses. Neither one is run by the county. Both get some subsidies for the expenses they have to write off.

There is a “Stand Up” argument/loophole that should/could be used by everyone not wanting to be a part of the Unaffordable Care Act. The precedent was already set from the beginning. All Muslims are given a “free pass” from purchasing or being fined/taxed, for not purchasing said gov insurance.
Here it is. Because their religion is against any type of gambling/wagering, they are excused from the same type requirements that all other citizens are legally bound to, simply because they see medical insurance as a form of gambling/wagering.
I say; since the precedent is set, and most law is now held up because of precedent ruling, your religion of choice should include being against any type of wagering or gambling and therefore be your main cause and purpose for not engaging in the business of wagering against bad health. Thus, your constitutional rights, same as with the muslims, must be upheld by the Fed gov.
My religion is against any type of wagering/gambling, so therefore I will not be participating in any such insurance activity.
And; for all the folks that bring up auto insurance requirements, I say; Yea, I buy auto insurance because i don’t want somebody suing me for what damages my “vehicle” caused. That is not a form of gambling, it is just common sense, not to mention it’s a prerequisite for registration of a vehicle, in most states. Totally different than wagering that you will get sick or injured.

You are my hero. I don’t have insurance now for a family of five. I have a savings account which is soon to become a box of cash for our medical expenses that I put money into each week. I was just going to find out what the policy number is at work and lie on the tax form. I am furious about this and I think others are as well. My family is healthy. I set aside money for my health expenses. I should not be forced to buy anything. It would be a huge pay cut for us.

First off, I prefer naturopathic cures to the medical/surgical/pharmaceutical approach entrenched in the American medical system. Insurance does not cover naturopathic cures, so I need to save my cash for natural remedies (which usually involves travel to another country, as the medical-pharmaceutical complex in this country were successful in getting them outlawed).

The only way to understand Obamacare and its implications are with math.
They say there are about 120 million folks in the working force. And of those, a large percentage are federal employees, state employees, and unions, as of which often pay much less into their health-care and pensions as does the private business owner and the common worker.
Thus about 60 million primary or common workers will foot this ACA. Now, they claim the annual costs will be around $2T, but lets say the Govt cares about us and makes it a bargain cost of only $1.5T per year.
Therefore $1.5T per year/60 mill primary payees = $25,000 per primary worker per year. Or basically $25,000/12 = $2,083 per month.
Now lets say your gross income is $4,500. and you have only $700 leftover after all the other taxes and bills.
No problem, the govt will work with you. Let say your home is worth $225,000 and you owe just $85,000. That is a supposed worth of $140,000 ($225,000 – $85,000 = $140,000). So the govt pays your $85,000 mortgage and owns your $225,000 home that has a net value of $140,000. Now ACA costs you $2083/month and home value is at $140,000 so $140,000/$2083 buys you 67 months worth of ACA health insurance.
Therefore you get 5.5 years of health insurance with your home value and the govt takes over the home. But you still have to pay the final $85,000 mortgage or the govt just takes it away.
Lets say you live longer than 5 years. No problem. Problem solved. Your gross pay is $4,500. Out of pay comes FICA, state tax, federal tax, and now the ACA tax. You see, on payroll check it will show that with your gross pay of $4,500 that ACA has a monthly deduction of $150. It will be deducted in your paycheck, therefore you don’t have to worry. Thus now, after all taxes and all bills your disposable income from $700 shrunk to $550.
Don’t worry about bank confiscation. The ACA tax will be deducted from your pay just as FICA is.
Do you feel better? Now go and play ‘kick the can’.

Behold: The program that will destroy the health insurance industry. Step 1, Remove pre existing condition barriers so that people can call to get coverage from the ambulance (on the way to the hospital). Step 2, Jack up the premiums and lower the coverage to make up for the pre existing condition rule plus cover a bunch of free stuff for women. Step 3, Make the penalty (tax) for not buying insurance, less than the premiums. The result? People will not buy insurance (premiums are too expensive, paying the tax is cheaper) but WILL use the insurance ONLY when they get sick (pre existing conditions glass ceiling is gone). The insurance companies will slowly run out of cash (no one will be PAYING premiums and NOT using coverage) which will make them jack up the premiums even higher plus lower the coverage for the $, this will be a down spiral that will make health insurance a thing of the past. Congratulations America, we did it! Well we didnt personally do it, we just allowed our leaders to do it….but dont worry about them, they dont have Obamacare, not even Obama himself has it, they have something we all pay for, but that 99% of us can never afford for ourselves. A Family ReUnion with Ugly (2012)….
We had a family reunion at the Devils Tower in Wyoming.
We were all having a great time. At about 7:33PM (MST) I decided to go for a jog. The camp area is on the west side of the Tower. Many rock climbers climb this side as it is a designated area for that. They are scary, but fun to watch.
I was jogging mostly on the west-side of the trails and got board because I was going back and forth and my Garmin GPS watch showed only 4.1 miles to that point. I wanted to do a 10 miler or so.
So I ventured to the east side of the Tower on a trail called Prairie Dog. It was about 8:21 PM (MST) and getting dark, soon very dark. I noticed my GPS watch acting strangely. It showed 10.22 miles and then suddenly just 9.45 miles.
Then the bright lights. I fell prostrate to the ground with a magnetic force of at least 8Gs. I was glued to the ground. I had just enough energy to look up and noticed it was a small spaceship type. The spaceship opened and out walked a humanoid looking person.
He walked out and had a gun that had a crystal-blue appearance with a high voltage look with a sign that said ‘High Voltage’. He told me that if I ever wanted ‘blue nuggets’ then all I needed to do was stand up and try to run.
He then said, ‘Take Me To Your Leader’
I said, ‘WTF?’
I started laughing. Then he began laughing too. He said he knows and he knows me too. He said he was a smartass as well and has liked me from all of most postings. They have hacked cyberspace.

Hate to be the otherside, but–
I have two jobs. One I work for someone and the other is our own business. In the past, the employer that I work for provided the insurance which cost them around $250 per employee family.
Now, because of the ACA, the employer dropped the insurance unless we paid it ourselves. All employees dropped it because they had a spouse that worked somewhere else and the insurance was cheaper thru the other employer.
For me, I am a sole source income and thus had nowhere else to go. So I stayed with the family insurance plan and it costs me $1,300 per month. Yes, $1,300 per month is out of my check (gross pay $5,200).
Does any other self-employed person out there pay this much? My accountant said this was a typical healthcare payment for those self-employed or employed by a small business owner.
You see, for me, with the ACA I would be most likely paying less while others will pay more.
But I am still not signing. I won’t do it because it is one step that leads to more steps. But boy, I cannot afford any more premium raises.

The events that are unfolding before us makes me believe that it is inevitable that some level of civil unrest will occur. The cards are stacked too high against us. Although each one by itself can be handle with minimum discord, the total amount we face are insurmountable for the correction of these injustices.

Let me try to answer your questions.
#1 Its not what the superiors are telling us it what the new guys are being taught. The kids are coming into the police world being told that everyone is out to kill you. And everyone you meet are scum not people.
The shot first and ask question later is more from lack of training. The cities would rather put in planters and trees waisting the money on that, rather that paying the officers to go to training.
Hell the last time I qualified I had to supply my own ammo. The city didn’t pay for it until I turned in a receipt. The cities are broke no tax review coming in.
As far as making up stories you just tell what you see and the Superiors puts all the stories together (only the good point) and then that is what you hear on the news.
#2 Its more from what I’m hearing coming from the kids in uniform. Things like taking orders from the Feds. and bullshit like that. a) If the cheapest health care plan available costs more than 8 percent of your MAGI after subtracting the tax credit or employer contribution, whichever is applicable.

If item d) is the case, you must file a sworn statement as part of your tax return, and should you obtain care during the tax year, the exemption will no longer apply and you will have to pay a penalty for being uninsured. Tax law does not apply since the IRS is strictly a debt collection agency, thusly they are required to follow Title 15. The IRS has no way to verify the debt even if they can verify taxes. W-2’s and 1099’s are only evidence that some one has paid something, not that someone owes something.

The author realizes driving is not a right, its a privilege? He can choose to walk or bike, heck, ride a horse (no buggy though). These extra fees typically pay for road maintenance. Now I dislike having to pay a tax (the supreme court ruled in favor once Obama changed his tune saying it was a tax not a fee) as it was not intended by the founding fathers. I stopped reading when he used an invalid argument about the licensing and insurance bit. It’s been destroyed so many times it’s only ignorant people that still use it. You’re free to use private roads without any of it. You’re free to trailer your vehicle to private property and drive it (with permission of the owner of said land of course if its not yours) without insurance, registration, etc.

I do not have all the actual statutes, codes, etc. But first of all, you do not have to pay for car insurance in order to drive your PERSONAL Vehicle. Every state has a state minimum liability coverage. All you have to have is SURETY Bond for that minimum and have it RECORDED with the state public records. BAM!! no more monthly insurance.
In the case you are financing the vehicle and the finance company requires insurance, all you have to have is insurance to cover that vehicle.
As for the Drivers Licenses … WE have been pre-programmed to believe we HAVE to have this in order to transport/travel on roads in our PERSONAL vehicle. A Driver is defined as someone who drives in order to make a living or does it for money. IE a taxi cab driver, truck driver, etc. You are not required to have a Drivers License in order to Travel in your personal vehicle to the store, to/from work, Sunday drives, etc. Basically, you have the RIGHT to travel on roads built by your servants(IE you elected government officials and such). Licensing is unlawful of a free people. We are a free people, therefore, it is UNLAWFUL to REQUIRE you to have a LICENSE in order to travel upon our roads, IF you are not using it for commerce or trade, using ordinary transportation of the day.
