75 Economic Numbers From 2012 That Are Almost Too Crazy To BelieveWhat a year 2012 has been!  The mainstream media continues to tell us what a “great job” the Obama administration and the Federal Reserve are doing of managing the economy, but meanwhile things just continue to get even worse for the poor and the middle class.  It is imperative that we educate the American people about the true condition of our economy and about why all of this is happening.  If nothing is done, our debt problems will continue to get worse, millions of jobs will continue to leave the country, small businesses will continue to be suffocated, the middle class will continue to collapse, and poverty in the United States will continue to explode.  Just “tweaking” things slightly is not going to fix our economy.  We need a fundamental change in direction.  Right now we are living in a bubble of debt-fueled false prosperity that allows us to continue to consume far more wealth than we produce, but when that bubble bursts we are going to experience the most painful economic “adjustment” that America has ever gone through.  We need to be able to explain to our fellow Americans what is coming, why it is coming and what needs to be done.  Hopefully the crazy economic numbers that I have included in this article will be shocking enough to wake some people up.

The end of the year is a time when people tend to gather with family and friends more than they do during the rest of the year.  Hopefully many of you will use the list below as a tool to help start some conversations about the coming economic collapse with your loved ones.  Sadly, most Americans still tend to doubt that we are heading into economic oblivion.  So if you have someone among your family and friends that believes that everything is going to be “just fine”, just show them these numbers.  They are a good summary of the problems that the U.S. economy is currently facing.

The following are 50 economic numbers from 2012 that are almost too crazy to believe…

#1 In December 2008, 31.6 million Americans were on food stamps.  Today, a new all-time record of 47.7 million Americans are on food stamps.  That number has increased by more than 50 percent over the past four years, and yet the mainstream media still has the gall to insist that “things are getting better”.

#2 Back in the 1970s, about one out of every 50 Americans was on food stamps.  Today, about one out of every 6.5 Americans is on food stamps.

#3 According to one calculation, the number of Americans on food stamps now exceeds the combined populations of “Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.”

#4 According to one recent survey, 55 percent of all Americans have received money from a safety net program run by the federal government at some point in their lives.

#5 For the first time ever, more than a million public school students in the United States are homeless.  That number has risen by 57 percent since the 2006-2007 school year.

#6 Median household income in the U.S. has fallen for four consecutive years.  Overall, it has declined by over $4000 during that time span.

#7 Families that have a head of household under the age of 30 have a poverty rate of 37 percent.

#8 The percentage of working age Americans with a job has been under 59 percent for 39 months in a row.

#9 In September 2009, during the depths of the last economic crisis, 58.7 percent of all working age Americans were employed.  In November 2012, 58.7 percent of all working age Americans were employed.  It is more then 3 years later, and we are in the exact same place.

#10 When you total up all working age Americans that do not have a job in America today, it comes to more than 100 million.

#11 According to one recent survey, 55 percent of all small business owners in America “say they would not start a business today given what they know now and in the current environment.”

#12 The number of jobs at new small businesses continues to decline.  According to economist Tim Kane, the following is how the decline in the number of startup jobs per 1000 Americans breaks down by presidential administration

    Bush Sr.: 11.3

    Clinton: 11.2

    Bush Jr.: 10.8

    Obama: 7.8

#13 The U.S. share of global GDP has fallen from 31.8 percent in 2001 to 21.6 percent in 2011.

#14 The United States has fallen in the global economic competitiveness rankings compiled by the World Economic Forum for four years in a row.

#15 There are four major U.S. banks that each have more than 40 trillion dollars of exposure to derivatives.

#16 In 2000, there were more than 17 million Americans working in manufacturing, but now there are less than 12 million.

#17 According to the Pew Research Center, 61 percent of all Americans were “middle income” back in 1971.  Today, only 51 percent of all Americans are.

#18 The Pew Research Center has also found that 85 percent of all middle class Americans say that it is harder to maintain a middle class standard of living today than it was 10 years ago.

#19 62 percent of all middle class Americans say that they have had to reduce household spending over the past year.

#20 Right now, approximately 48 percent of all Americans are either considered to be “low income” or are living in poverty.

#21 Approximately 57 percent of all children in the United States are living in homes that are either considered to be either “low income” or impoverished.

#22 According to one survey, 77 percent of all Americans are now living paycheck to paycheck at least part of the time.

#23 Back in 1950, more than 80 percent of all men in the United States had jobs.  Today, less than 65 percent of all men in the United States have jobs.

#24 The average amount of time that an unemployed worker stays out of work in the United States is 40 weeks.

#25 If you can believe it, approximately one out of every four American workers makes 10 dollars an hour or less.

#26 According to the U.S. Census Bureau, an all-time record 49 percent of all Americans live in a home where at least one person receives financial assistance from the federal government.  Back in 1983, that number was less than 30 percent.

#27 Right now, more than 100 million Americans are enrolled in at least one welfare program run by the federal government.  And that does not even count Social Security or Medicare.  Overall, there are almost 80 different “means-tested welfare programs” that the federal government is currently running.

#28 When you account for all government transfer payments and all forms of government employment, more than half of all Americans are now at least partially financially dependent on the government.

#29 Barack Obama has been president for less than four years, and during that time the number of Americans “not in the labor force” has increased by nearly 8.5 million.  Something seems really “off” about that number, because during the entire decade of the 1980s the number of Americans “not in the labor force” only rose by about 2.5 million.

#30 Electricity bills in the United States have risen faster than the overall rate of inflation for five years in a row.

#31 According to USA Today, many Americans have actually seen their water bills triple over the past 12 years.

#32 There are now 20.2 million Americans that spend more than half of their incomes on housing.  That represents a 46 percent increase from 2001.

#33 Right now, approximately 25 million American adults are living with their parents.

#34 As the economy has slowed down, so has the number of marriages.  According to a Pew Research Center analysis, only 51 percent of all Americans that are at least 18 years old are currently married.  Back in 1960, 72 percent of all U.S. adults were married.

#35 At this point, only 24.6 percent of all jobs in the United States are good jobs.

#36 In 1999, 64.1 percent of all Americans were covered by employment-based health insurance.  Today, only 55.1 percent are covered by employment-based health insurance.

#37 Recently it was announced that total student loan debt in the United States has passed the one trillion dollar mark.

#38 If you can believe it, one out of every seven Americans has at least 10 credit cards.

#39 One survey of business executives has ranked California as the worst state in America to do business for 8 years in a row.

#40 In the city of Detroit today, more than 50 percent of all children are living in poverty, and close to 50 percent of all adults are functionally illiterate.

#41 It is being projected that half of all American children will be on food stamps at least once before they turn 18 years of age.

#42 More than three times as many new homes were sold in the United States in 2005 as will be sold in 2012.

#43 If you can believe it, 53 percent of all Americans with a bachelor’s degree under the age of 25 were either unemployed or underemployed last year.

#44 The U.S. economy continues to trade good paying jobs for low paying jobs.  60 percentof the jobs lost during the last recession were mid-wage jobs, but 58 percent of the jobs created since then have been low wage jobs.

#45 Our trade deficit with China in 2011 was $295.5 billion.  That was the largest trade deficit that one country has had with another country in the history of the planet.

#46 The United States has lost an average of approximately 50,000 manufacturing jobs a month since China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001.

#47 According to the Economic Policy Institute, America is losing half a million jobs to China every single year.

#48 The U.S. tax code is now more than 3.8 million words long.  If you took all of William Shakespeare’s works and collected them together, the entire collection would only be about 900,000 words long.

#49 According to the IMF, the global elite are holding a total of 18 trillion dollars in offshore banking havens such as the Cayman Islands.

#50 The value of the U.S. dollar has declined by more than 96 percent since the Federal Reserve was first created.

#51 2012 was the third year in a row that the yield for corn has declined in the United States.

#52 Experts are telling us that global food reserves have reached their lowest level in almost 40 years.

#53 One recent survey discovered that 40 percent of all Americans have $500 or less in savings.

#54 If you can believe it, one recent survey found that 28 percent of all Americans do not have a single penny saved for emergencies.

#55 Medical costs related to obesity in the United States are estimated to be approximately$147 billion a year.

#56 Corporate profits as a percentage of GDP are at an all-time high.  Meanwhile, wages as a percentage of GDP are near an all-time low.

#57 Today, the wealthiest 1 percent of all Americans own more wealth than the bottom 95 percent combined.

#58 The wealthiest 400 families in the United States have about as much wealth as the bottom 50 percent of all Americans combined.

#59 The six heirs of Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton have a net worth that is roughly equal to thebottom 30 percent of all Americans combined.

#60 At this point, the poorest 50 percent of all Americans collectively own just 2.5% of all the wealth in the United States.

#61 Nearly 500,000 federal employees now make at least $100,000 a year.

#62 In 2006, only 12 percent of all federal workers made $100,000 or more per year.  Now, approximately 22 percent of all federal workers do.

#63 If you can believe it, there are 77,000 federal workers that make more than the governors of their own states do.

#64 Nearly 15,000 retired federal workers are collecting federal pensions for life worth at least $100,000 annually.  The list includes such names as Newt Gingrich, Bob Dole, Trent Lott, Dick Gephardt and Dick Cheney.

#65 U.S. taxpayers spend more than 20 times as much on the Obamas as British taxpayers spend on the royal family.

#66 Family homelessness in the Washington D.C. region (one of the wealthiest regions in the entire country) has risen 23 percent since the last recession began.

#67 If Bill Gates gave every single penny of his fortune to the U.S. government, it would only cover the U.S. budget deficit for about 15 days.

#68 During fiscal year 2012, 62 percent of the federal budget was spent on entitlements.

#69 Back in 1965, only one out of every 50 Americans was on Medicaid.  Today, approximately one out of every 6 Americans is on Medicaid.

#70 It is being projected that Obamacare will add 16 million more Americans to the Medicaid rolls.

#71 Medicare is also growing by leaps and bounds.  As I wrote about recently, it is being projected that the number of Americans on Medicare will grow from 50.7 million in 2012 to 73.2 million in 2025.

#72 Thanks to our foolish politicians (including Obama), Medicare is facing unfunded liabilities of more than 38 trillion dollars over the next 75 years.  That comes to approximately $328,404 for each and every household in the United States.

#73 Amazingly, the U.S. national debt is now up to 16.3 trillion dollars.  When Barack Obama first took office the national debt was just 10.6 trillion dollars.

#74 During the first four years of the Obama administration, the U.S. government accumulated about as much debt as it did from the time that George Washington took office to the time that George W. Bush took office.

#75 Today, the U.S. national debt is more than 5000 times larger than it was when the Federal Reserve was originally created back in 1913.

        “WELCOME TO THE FOURTH TURNING

“An impasse over the federal budget reaches a stalemate. The president and Congress both refuse to back down, triggering a near-total government shutdown. The president declares emergency powers. Congress rescinds his authority. Dollar and bond prices plummet. The president threatens to stop Social Security checks. Congress refuses to raise the debt ceiling. Default looms. Wall Street panics.”

        The Fourth Turning – Strauss & Howe – Page 273 – Written in 1996

its a good day for a “black swan”

        • And further, The Fourth Turning claims:

“..the catalyst will unfold according to a basic Crisis dynamic .. An initial spark will trigger a chain reaction of unyielding responses and further emergencies. The core elements of these scenarios (debt, civic decay, global disorder) will matter more than the details, which the catalyst will juxtapose and connect in some unknowable way…”

“At home and abroad, these events will reflect the tearing of the civic fabrics at points of extreme vulnerability — problem areas where, during the Unraveling, America will have neglected, denied, or delayed needed action. Anger at “mistakes we made” will translate into calls for action, regardless of the heightened public risk…”

“The new mood and its jarring new problems will provide a natural end point for the Unraveling-era decline in civic confidence…Distrustful of some things, individuals will fee that their survival requires them to distrust more things. This behavior could cascade into a sudden downward spiral, an implosion of societal trust.”

“If so, this implosion will strike financial markets — and with that, the economy. Aggressive individualism, institutional decay, and long-term pessimism can proceed only so far before a society loses the level of dependability needed to sustain the division of labor and long-term promises on which a market economy must rest…”
(Source: The Fourth Turning, Strauss & Howe, pp. 273-274.)

          • Another great article by Michael Snyder. This is the “new normal” folks unless middle class Americans organize themselves political and take control of their destiny: politically and economically.

WE are right where the Globalists in DC and NYC want US: a flat or declining economy, the evisceration of the middle class, and Free Trade with maximum profits for the Uber Rich.

100 million gun owners in America hold the future of this nation in their hands. Its US or them.

            Engage.

            • ‘fraid it’s way too late for that.

We got a solid indication of such back in November, when the takers (and the duped) out-voted the makers.

The only consolation is that those who voted in favor of this mess will be the first against the wall once the funds dry up.

              • OQ: Not too late. As I recall, correct me if I am wrong, but less that 130 million adults voted in the last election.

                The tide can turn. Engage

              • They will be viscious when denied their “entitlements”. .gov will not be spared their wrath.

        • #76. Time to overthrow the Monsters. Spirit of ’76.

        • Much of what Strauss & Howe said in The Fourth Turning has already unfolded. Yet to be seen in 1996, they predicted a crisis period was due, and once identified would culminate in a nation threatening conflict on average 15 years after it began. It is clear now that the current crisis period began about 2007 which would target 2022 as the beginning of the next US civil war, revolution, WWIII or some combination. Of course the period between the beginning of the crisis and the outbreak of violence is not set in stone. In 1857 a crisis period began after the post Mexican War boom, with the panic of 1857 and it only took 4 years for the violence to erupt, the Civil War.

Of particular interest, they pointed out that those in power when these crises erupted in the past were very uncompromising people, as a result of the influences in their early years of relatively easy times; they are accustomed to getting their way. As the current political battle over the course of the nation’s finances continues, I can’t help but be reminded of their warning about the baby boomer generation and, their uncompromising personalities that are particularly dangerous, and significantly contribute to the violent resolution of the crisis period.

Sometimes I read what people are saying on discussion groups populated with liberals and it seems clear to me that the divide in this nation is very, very deep and there is much intolerance for and disdain of conservatives which they see as inferior to them, as Obama said, “Clinging to their religion and guns”. There is a fundamental difference in what is seen as the role of government, true conservatives wanting limited government, and liberals wanting government to give them whatever they want out of anyone’s pocket they can pick. But there is a third group, the aristocracy in power, composed of both Republicans and Democrats who have found it more convenient to use the power of government to rig the economy in favor of their powerful friends and themselves, leaving much less for the majority.

My thinking is that it all could devolve into one big three way violent cluster***k as was the case in the Russian Revolution back in 1917 (white Russians, red Russians and czarist). Who knows how it will unfold, but I think the framework presented by Strauss and Howe is valid; they could have made it a less tedious read, however.

          • “Sometimes I read what people are saying on discussion groups populated with liberals”

I’d suggest looking at a more complex analysis here. Conservative/Liberal is a one-dimensional view of the political landscape. I believe that to really understand the dynamics, you must also understand the y-axis, which consists of Authoritarians at one end and Libertarians at the other. A working example of this concept is available at PoliticalCompasss.com. It’s worth checking out. Classifying someone as “liberal”, without considering the y-axis is far too simplistic to be useful imo.

            Dboy

          • SidDavis, there is also another very large group out there, the political atheists, people that have no interest at all in the political system or politicians. These are the people that are only persuaded to engage by a messionic figure such as Hitler or 0bama.

        • and for the good news today(sic)..the House passed the 2013 NDAA with indefinite detention still intact..

          take heed folks..

          possee

        • “its a good day for a “black swan””

How about for a black jackass?

      2. 75 reasons for us to be better prepared.

Oh, and lookie! There’s a price dip in PMs.

        • What do you think’s up with the PMs? I”m thinking hyper inflation is on the way???

          • Ask 100 analysts that question and get 100 different answers! When there is an over-supply of money (think QE4 and Bernanke’s printing machines), the USD is devalued more and more. The PM futures went up briefly when the Fed made the QE4 announcement, but it was short-lived. Good time to buy.

            • Precious metals prices are declining for two reasons: first, all markets are manipulated and you can bet that the GB’s will take this opportunity to load up on metals prior to WAR.

Second some green shoots have appeared based upon the pumping of the economy prior to elections, “suggesting” that “recovery” is possible, meaning that hedge funds are cashing out of the safety of gold and buying securities for the yield.

They will get crushed. Beware the Ides of March. Back up the truck for a long term hold on PM’s.

              • Weak GLD could be a result of the selling that John Paulson may be doing as a result of heavy redemptions at his hedge fund. Paulson is known to be a very large holder of GLD, and he is suffering a large amount of end-of-year redemptions. We won’t know if it was him until his positions are made public later. You can see major declines in anything even during a bull market. There’s NOTHING in the macro-economic picture that would lead me to suspect that a top has been reached in gold, so I must conclude that this is a pullback within a long-term intact uptrend. If you want to buy, wait for price to stop falling (lol), and then consider a buy when prices look more stable. Keep in mind that people who have physical gold (coin and bar) are NOT the ones pushing prices down. Nor is it central bank selling..Gold holders are continuing to hold, and buy more. This selling is in PAPER GOLD, such as the GLD ETF, which is used by hedge funds and traders to get exposure to the gold price. People who are holding physical gold will keep holding it until the threat of US Dollar debasement has passed. And that will likely only happen after a currency collapse. Bernanke has already stated that QE-Infinity is the Fed’s plan…no reason to exchange real-value gold for depreciating pieces of paper.

                Dboy

              • DK, I truly appreciate your financial insights.

                • Thanks! Here is another financial insight: Well said Dboy!

          • Or significant deflation. It seems to me if the pundits felt hyper inflation was pending in the very near future PM’s would not be stagnant but ever so increasing. There is an article out today saying the actually printed 50% more $100 bills last year then any time in history – nice way to bump the markets for obama’s new round of golf. I’m still not sold on hyper inflation. They’ve created so much money I think they want its value to increase and don’t really care about the people and what it will do to them.

            • Why would the value of the dollar increase if they are printing more of it, especially when those new dollars are not supported by an increase in economic activity?

          • the deflation of valuable things, gas, metals, etc. before the beginning of hyperinflation.

Use your cash to get maximum value.

          • PMs often have a December price pull-back. Pay no attention to the day to day micro-moves. Just buy what you can, when you can. That’s all. Dollar cost average from fiat paper into REAL money that is a genuine store of value. Whether that is gold or silver makes far less difference than choosing to remain in paper that is so heavily controlled and manipulated. Yes, PMs are manipulated too but at the end of it all, they WILL retain their value while paper wealth is collapsing all around them. There will never have been a more shocked and surprised expression than what we will see on the face of those who wealth resides in paper when the house of cards comes tumbling down and they expect payment for their holdings. Well, who knows? They might just get paid… but in just a different form of worthless paper. Imagine their surprise when food at the stores has 2 prices that look like this: “Bread $50 a loaf in US currency or $0.10 in silver.

      3. I SECOND the idea

        • keep tryin

      4. A total economic mess. I truly enjoyed what the NRA brought up on their news conference, we protect our money but not our children with armed guards. prevention is key, but these anti-gun radicals have one agenda, get rid of ALL guns and then get rid of every other self defense item, just like in England. Just like those two nuts that were taken away that were protesting, they don’t want constructive answers, their tunnel vision absolutely prevents this. Excellent points from the NRA, an organization looking for answers that work.

        • The NRA came through brilliantly, common sense solutions but who will listen? The speech was one for the history books.

          • Love how they cut him off….it’s never ending!!!

          • I had let my membership lapse because they were getting soft. I just re-joined. He did a great job today!

            • I thought they got soft too – especially when they showed support for John McStain. Was almost dreading hearing what they had to say as I thought they’d kowtow to the govt. What a relief they did not. If I had some extra $$$ right now, I’d rejoin. The two wackos that interrupted were pure entertainment. All the one could say was “The NRA are killing our children!” What a drooling idiot!

              • I just sent the ILA $100.

                • should have bought something tangible…you just paid for a portion of Wayne or Chris’s next trophy hunting trip to some exotic spot.

We the people hold our future in OUR hands.

            • One swallow doth not a summer make. My $$ go to SAF and GOA until the NRA stops spending 50% of what I donate sending me mailers trying to get me to give them more.

And get rid of LaPierre. His voice is fingernails on a blackboard.

              • The NRA is only looking to line their pockets with OUR money. I wold not give them a red cent. Yeah, they may make some noise, but they are all about money like all other lobbyists…

        • Indeed so but we must never forget that “gun control” is not about guns. It IS about control. Every dictator, tyrant, and wannbee that has lived since guns were invented ALWAYS wants “gun control”, and for the very same reason. They cannot abuse an armed people who simply won’t tolerate being abused.

Question of the day: How many US gun owners will use their guns to protect their liberal neighbors who support gun control?

Hot item: a copy of the 1st page of the US Constitution, suitable for framing and hanging next to our front doors.

      5. The end.. Is Not near!!

        We were robbed!!

        Sheeple..

        • Hang in there! We’ve still got about 12 hours!

          • I’m not worried about myself; but if the world ends what happens to my ammo?

        • Oh, we been robbed alright!

      6. Does anybody have that weird feeling that there will be no Presidential Election in 2016? And if there is, that person is already picked.

Egyptian president just said he is the new pharoah, he is it and he was one of Times person of the year choices.

We know inflation is over 5%. All you have to do is buy milk, bread, butter, and eggs to see this.

The economy is gone. Healthy economies do not require $1T per year printings to keep afloat. Prepare for the day is near….

        • Holy shit, take a lookat bacon. It frakkin 7.50 a POUND here. 16 years ago, when I got married and started paying attention, it was between 1.00 – 1.50.

          • Great point. Same thing for beef prices. BOTH have been going through the roof! People love their pink slime!

            #76 Time to overthrow Tyranny.

          • NSM: Stop eating bacon and the price will drop. Its killing you anyway because it is full of nitrates.

Munch on asparagus spears instead! 🙂

          • Yep and in spite of those bacon prices, our local grocery store sells some of the best bacon I’ve ever tasted for $2.99 a lb. We usually buy 15-20 lbs. when they have it on sale and freeze most of it. They also have ham for around $3.99 a lb. and unlike bacon it is about 80% meat and not 50%.

        • While the POTUS for 2016 is not yet picked, the Globalists are already lining up their many candidates to see which one the American people respond to most.

Huntsman, Rubio, Bush, Clinton, Cuomo, and the FAT guy from New Jersey. Oh yeah, don’t forget Bloomberg, that SOB wants to be President so bad he is salivating at the prospect: or is that foaming at the mouth?

          All NWO Globalists. Engage.

        • “Healthy economies do not require $1T per year printings to keep afloat.”

          You nailed it.

          • Exactly so. The economy is like a hospital patient who is on “life support”. That is exactly how healthy the US economy is. Worse yet, the Fed and the Gov are training the economy to NEED this continuous flow of free money to keep it from immediate coma and death. TPTB continue to act as if our economy can be fixed via a trim here or a tweak there. It can’t. It has severe structural problems and they are NOT addressing ANY of them. They want to use band-aids and aspirin on a person who has Stage III cancer when an appropriate response is to use extreme measures while ANY chance of recovery still remains.

        • Yeah right …no election in 2016. Half the kooks were saig there was not going ot be one THIS year because of Sandy.
Most you people should be on med if you are not already.

      7. Please keep an eye on groceries. The news this morning stated that milk will be going to over $9.00 a gallon. This is just one indicator that we are in for an econonic collaspe.

        • yes, its things like this that i’m worried about.

milk, electricity bills, etc. there’s going to slowly creep up on the US and going to slow US spending to a crawl and raise consumer debts even higher to a point where many people will only be able to go to work and home to eat rice and beans.

add that scene to higher taxes and the increases from obamacare and sometime in the next 2 years people are going to wake up and feel like they got hit in the head with a shovel.

i think then things start to change, but things are going to get a lot worse for many before we get there.

          • How can you work labor at a new usa/china economic zone if you don’t eat your Rice? pink Floyd(?)

            • Angelo:

Pink Floyd said, ‘You cant have any pudding if you dont eat your meat. How can you have any pudding if you dont eat your meat!’

              A classic from The Wall.

              • BTW, which one’s Pink?

              • GEEZ! whats up with so many new posters here ganging up and thinking They must educate me?…Hows about YOU new folks go Backwards to READ a few posts I made on many various Past articles…Before concluding You even know anything about me ok?

Hmmmm..Seems as if a sudden Influx of “Youthfull” types has emerged here vary recently…As if I no not the Real pink floyd wording!!!

What next?…A flock of spelling teachers who can’t find any else to add besides “use spell checker”?!

                • Slow news day AM.
Plus, we’re sitting home on a Saturday night. Must be gittin’ old.

BTW, if your on W of Fortune, that’s ” gettinG”!

                • “Plus, we’re sitting home on a Saturday night. Must be gittin’ old.”

LOL! I’ve pretty much ALWAYS stayed home on Saturday night. Costs less and I get in less trouble that way. 😉

          • These are the exact things I fear too. Much more realistic then some crazy notion the world will end based on a calender made by sophisticated savages thousands of years ago. We can barely afford all but the crappiest of health insurance as it is now. I keeping having to pay a higher and higher deductable to keep the monthly payment manageable. I shudder to think what will happen once Obama care is put in place. I’ve come to the conclusion that health insurance is nothing more than “insurance so greedy hospitals can’t come after your stuff that you worked your whole life for should your life take a bad turn.”

            • Consider that under Obummer care, they may have made a deal with SS to ensure that you don’t put any strain on the system. :-O

          • STACK ‘EM TO THE RAFTERS

        • Dee, let’s make sure we put the full truth here. Milk may go up to $9 if the Farm Bill is not approved.

        • I switched to almond milk. Better for you and cheaper.

          • We only drink organic milk – already $10 per gallon but worth every penny not to feed those nasty hormones to my children.

            • Milk goats would carry their own weight (when talking about expense & work) & give you something in return.

              • You’re right, Comanche. With almost a dozen Nubians, we have plenty of dairy products. And the excess feeds the pigs which we grow out to feed us. The cost of our bacon isn’t much, but curing bacon takes a week or more, having a bit of labor involved (like a cured ham).

If suburban areas would relax the uptight zoning and HOA regulations (which could happen with citizen pressure), people could raise a couple of small Nigerian Dwarf goats, rabbits, and a few chickens in a back yard, along with a veggie and herb garden with fruit trees. This arrangement is available to those who want it — but they need to begin now (if they already haven’t) and they must advocate for themselves against local government. Get several neighbors involved to petition for your rights as homeowners (strength in numbers).

                • the more you can provide for yourself the better off you’ll be. sadly with zoning and new draconian laws everyday, it is difficult for many… the more doing it, the more likely to change policy as the above commentor pointed out. i’d bet that many of us readers here will have the task of teaching in the coming years. the knowledge and skills many of us presumably possess may just keep our neighborhoods glued together. the states cannot impose laws that prevent folks from providing for themselves in the face of starvation. it will not fly. decentralized food systems and removing food commodoties speculation on wall st, are the key to overcoming inflation of food…. Stock up if you can, and invest in local food producers as much as you can. buy bulk from local sources, not some obscure website offering bulk + shipping for an arm and a leg. if you happen to live in new york state, wholeshare.com is a great place to start sourcing local wholesale food.

              • I hope that within a year I’ll be in a situation where I can have some livestock – Nubian goats and chickens are the first things on my list!

          • Scout: does almond milk work as good or taste same in coffee?…I go thru 2 gal every 7-8 days of reg milk just for my coffee..Its all I use milk for really.

Sure like a cheeper type as long as its same or very close in coffee…Thank You in advance if you see this.

            • 2 gallons??!! geez, I thought I liked a little coffee in my milk! Half and half myself. And buy evap milk by the case @ ALDI,as a backup. We’re a little out in the sticks.

              Oh, the things we treasure!

              • Since I quit beer etc 15 yrs ago all I drink now is alot of coffee!…It keeps me alert and awake all nite so’s I can scope out my hood for feds and such.

        • The ONLY way to combat these grocery prices is buying in bulk as much as possible, cook from scratch and grow at least some of your food.

The other problem is that cheaper food is going to be offered in place of these foods that the average person cannot afford – but it’s going to be full of GMOs and chemicals. This will make the worker bees unhealthy – Obamacare and mandated medical practices will finish off the worker bee by first pumping them full of costly pharmaceuticals, and then inevitably, denying treatments, and we will soon be seeing average life spans begin to plummet.

It’s all intentional, every last bit of it. People who live 50 years instead of 70 or 80 years spend nearly all of their adult lives in the worker bee work force – when they have outlived their usefulness, they’ll die off, costing the PTB less every year in medical care.

          • Daisy, the biggest food crisis has come from GMOs and hybrids designed by Monsanto and DuPont. With their seed, the second generation produces no food.

That is why I am buying heirloom seed from traditional breeding pograms. You need viable seed from the offspring, not the terminator gene from GMOs.

Not all life spans will plummet. The have-nots will plummet; but the ‘haves’ will increase.

AmeriKa generates makes earns 2.4 trillion annually in gross national tax profit … AND FAILING ANNUALLY

        but …

Pay’s Out 5.3 trillion annually , that’s not including the owed interest payments on all past loans to the federal government .

And as time goes on the national economy gets worse and worse … AmeriKa will generate less and less tax revenue and borrow more and more money therefore pay more higher COMBINED interest on bigger loans balance due !

See where WE ARE ALL HEADED ???

There is another option….move somewhere that still believes in free markets and free people. Or somehow create a “freedom zone” within the US. another response would be to withdraw all support for the current economic and political system by frugal living and non-participation.

      9. There’s plenty of class warfare in your 75 economic numbers Mr. Snyder. I personally don’t give a rat’s @ss what the Waltons are worth. Good for them. Just keep the government’s nose out of my business, thank you. The Fed’s overwhelming desire to steal from Peter at gunpoint to subsidize Paul’s lazy @ss is one the reasons we’re in this mess.

On another note, we’ll be $22 trillion in debt by the time Obama leaves office. Gen X, Y, and the Millennials are screwed. Drudge has a nice link to an article today about how Gen Y professionals will NEVER have a standard of living like their Baby Boomer parents. I don’t want to lob a grenade, because I know a lot of great Baby Boomers, but that generation has more than its fair share of narcissistic, materialistic a-holes that are happy to ‘just get theirs’. And politicians have manipulated that attitude to the tune of a now unsustainable debt level. Yep. We’re screwed. It’s an unavoidable train wreck at this point. Duck, cover… and prep.

        Merry Christmas!

        • Good riddence to bad rubbish.

        • Most excellent!…and no guns were involved.. 😉

          • True. But then where rapists are involved, arrows are more appropriate… several of them… starting low and working their way up.

      10. The shit will hit the fan when the dollar collapses and it will. The dollar has lost 96% of it’s value since the Federal Reserve was founded.

The world has figured out Ben Bernanke is up to and it’s just printing as much money as possible. That’s why China, Russia and other countries are moving away from our world currency. Once we lose that status all bets are off and we won’t be able to pay the interest on the debt alone.

Who knows when that will happen but i’m sure Bernanke is pissing off a lot of people at what he’s doing to our currency.

        • Yesterday RT news had an interiew with some china economics honcho from china on…He said the world uses us dollars so vastly everywheres he sees No such scenario for quite awhile to come.

When asked is china worried of collapse of dollars and how will that affect chinas reserve holdings etc?

he said not worried at all. And said they are currently at work with usa officials on potential investments in usa land and business’s etc…

Basically most he said was exact opposite of the stuf and fear mongering we been subjected to for awhile now by usa msm and also some alternate web based info sites.

Hard to know if hes honest or not,,, He did seem very sincere and answered every quetion without pre staged notes or teleprompters though…

          • “he said not worried at all. And said they are currently at work with usa officials on potential investments in usa land and business’s etc…”

Judging my your attitude, you’r a fucking retard that doesn’t have the slightest clue what this means.

            • Not so much Change your screen name to “I am Too good for This Planet” it will fit your idiot attitude better clown.

          • China was identifying usa land and business’s for collateral is more like it…

he said not worried at all. And said they are currently at work with usa officials on potential investments in usa land and business’s etc…

            • Good name. I like it.

          • ANGELO. FOR ME,RT NEWS IS NO MORE THAN A RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA SPIN MACHINE,WORKING SOMETIMES IN TANDEM WITH OUR SPIN MACHINE,OTHER TIME’S THERE SPINNING THERE OWN WEB OF LIES AND DECIET.

            • kay9 I agree about RT spin…But you must admit compared to the MSM avail now includes Fox too, at least sometimes RT does show issues NO other MSM will touch.

Example..Fox news…When have you ever seen any other side or version etc regards Isreal?…

All fox(and cnn nbc etc.) ever has is Talkin heads that themselves are from a vast aray of full time station employed jewsih types. When has cnn or fox ever had someone from Palestine tell Their side of things?

NEVER! Never will either! Its always some jew with Isreal is our only friends and allies etc etc ad nausium.

Do You ever wonder what OTHERS think? Or say about all these issues?..Do you Care?..Personally I do not watch much tv besides old gunsmoke reruns etc.

The ONLY tv or msm news I do listen to is like two minits to see current stock prices, and rt “IF” an interview has any worthwile issue.

And at least them interviews allows a guest to speak without blowhard obnoxious Orilles or hannitys name calling or changing subjects before an answer to THEIR question can be said.

Do You still watch and believe in whatever american or BBC MSM tells You?…I sure Hope not!

Let me ask you a question..Assumeing you watch fox or cnn etc…as example FOX and all the lineup of fox shows daily 24/7 ok….QUESTION: Do you think its not strange, that when you can count like 4-5 or 6 folks around a round table discussion(becks too) and even though they ONLY represent barley “One and One-Half” of One Percent of total population of america….EVERY fox show daily has just one or sometimes two(if total is six) gentiles on?..with rest all jewsih…Hmmm…

Compare to us senate=100 members right…Since so many that clamor for equal “quotas” as in afirmative action stuf, are Their groups, then why do THEY not clamor for NO more than 1 us senator to represent jews?…Same for us reps house membership…Same for prez aponntees and “advisors” etc etc…

Is this really Normal?…1.5% of pop has such High numbers in most every major inst in all of society?

And especially if you consider that most of Us folks are Loyal to usa right…They are NOT! their Loyaties are at “best” divided between usa + isreal…Many/Most are DUEL citizens!

Wanna bet if They had to choose One side only…Which They will pick?…Hint: do not count on them picking usa…So if you listen to Their spew, keep these issues in mind please.

          • Angelo

…of course we’re not worried, we possess the “DEED” to your country!!! Do you think we’d be foolish enough to loan you all that money w/o collateral?

            *******************************************************

Personally, I think the dividing line, between sarcasm & truth….bleeds into each other, in this case!

            • imo you are spot on Gunsmith…whatever kind of bs banking system is used, in most cases, collateral is required. the chinese bent us over and required use to put up our country for another communist take over.

              “but hey, that’s pretty thin.”

If that is not the case, if I was them, i would just be taking all those frns and buying our land anyhow…or gold, food or 1.6 billion rounds of ammo and saying it is a dhs purchase.

              • lastman: another kommie takover?…Too late! usa was taken over by the Oirg kommies that taught china how to be a kommie state back with Mao…

The Real inventors of marx kommieizim is khazers and They began usa takeover in early 1900 era. China=100+ yrs Too late!

          • Angelo,

Sorry, but your post is probably dumbest of the century. Of course China is not worried about the dollar. The dollar is losing ground and China and Russia have gained because of it.

Also, China has about $2T in US T-Bills and US Bonds. If they cash in they could buy almost all farm ground in the United States at $5,000 per acre.

Yes, $2T at $5,000/acre will buy 400 million acres. For reference, Nebraska has about 8 million irrigated acres, and Idaho has about 3 million acres.

            You see, China owns us….

      11. The politicians don’t care if you or your kids live or die. They could have taken steps to add security to schools but they didn’t. They don’t need an act of congress. They mearly had to do it. Off duty cops. On duty cops. Armed security. Armed school staff. Some of the steps wouldn’t have cost any money. They don’t care about you. Accept it. They care about re-election and lobbyist money. Period. If you have kids in school, take action now. Rip the principal a new asshole if they don’t have security. Don’t accept anything less than trained, armed security.

        • Home school your kids which costs the system off of their state and federal money. They really hate that!

          • …and teach them how to shoot!

            • Amen and pass the amunition, and teach them the history of our country, teach the the bible again as they used too and teach them values and responsibility ,the list is endless i would nevwe want anyone that i love in a govt school.

            • Well, don’t teach them to shoot if you know they’re insane.

          • Vicki..Things that make you go…Hmmmm…

            RE: Homeschooling…

Back a few yrs ago, and done for several yrs in a row, a group of concerned patriotic christain parents group.

Attended the annual once per yr Southern Baptist leadership Council meetings, in order to petition the main leaders to endorse and promote all 25,000,000+ SB membership to Remove their kids from all fed gov run public schools nationwide. And begin full time Homeschooling.

Or to make use of the SBLC’s Vast combined donated resources to create/build Private schools of their own.

At each meeting(for at least 3yrs in a row at least) the SBLC Main Leaders Flat out Refused such requests, and instead went further in Recomending all members refute such ideas and continue to trust in and continue sending their kids to public schools.

It seems the leadership of SBLC believe in and Fully support the current fed gov run system and got somewhat upset at these yearly group petitions.

Hmmmm…..So far it appears the vast majority of the 25+ million members agree as not many have removed kids from said school systems….However many have heard questions from those parents as to how or why are their kids not learning much?

Also recent surveys indicate by 12th grade barely 11% of formerly christian kids Remained christian…

Even less continued in prior taught beliefs. Their parents scratch heads in wondement..(God is out=Darwin is In)

One hr per week spent in church per 40 hrs per week in atheistic public schools…Do the Math parents.

PS: I read recently at newswithviews site an article which stated current avg nationwide for Pastors Salarys are now at $80,000 per yr! Plus bennifits for many!

Good pay for a day per week and a few hrs per day on sundays….Hmmmmm….

            • Not sure how your pastors schedule is set up but in my church they work 80 hour weeks and are on call for any emergencies. And mine get about $30,000 per year if they are in a middle class or better area. They do get medical and dental coverage and 30 days per year vacation. These are hard working men who are not paid a lot but do a tremendous amount of good.

              • Notice C: I wrote I READ article at NWV site and That says “AVERAGE” salarys is $80 G’s per yr…Never said my church etc…Avg= Not all are exact same.

ps I got no church to attend proboly within at least 500-1000 miles unless I settle for some flunky pastor that still refuses to admit real factual truths.

And insists on use of scolfields translations to explain it all…Especially if concerning that “Bandit” state in mid east region filled with Khazer imposters our Lord Christ warned us to Avoid!

Therefore for now I can only home-church, kinda like home schoolers…I trust the Holy Spirit within to tell me the Proper interpretations instead of scolfield or haggee et al!

ps if you are lucky to have a “Good” pastor, thats swell I am happy for you.

      12. When I try and bring things like This up to people, they laugh. They say if things were that bad the media would be telling us.
I was having a discussion with an old classmate of mine about all the mass shootings and gun control. I told her that Canadians can buy guns and they don’t have all these shootings. She said that Canada has just as many mass shootings as the US. The only difference is our courageous media chose to actually report it and Canada swept it under the rug. Needless to say we don’t talk much anymore.

        • Begging to differ but Canada does not have as many mass shootings as the US, raw numbers or per capita, Marc Lepine not withstanding. Get your facts from original sources, not hearsay. We in the US certainly do NOT have a “courageous media” we have shills for the government. There is more violence in Canada now because of the influx of American and Chinese gangs, true, but not necessarily among home grown Canucks. To clarify “buy guns” that means hunting rifles, not handguns. Asian gangs in Vancouver tend to use machetes, not firearms. You don’t needs guns to kill if you want to kill. If you want to go over some Canadian history, look at the CBC archives.

        • Get real, you think that money would be better in the hands of the GOV? THAT”S THE PROBLEM. The gov has to much money not to little, at this rate they will waste it all, and there will be nothing left, I don’t blame anyone from hiding their money, I wish I could. The gov is simply a drug addict and money is it’s drug. The more we give it, the worse off we are.

          • Paranoid..If you are addressing my post?…Where did I mention anything about give $$ to gov?

Did you read it?…Or the main article where it mentions that $18 Trillion? and WHO its owned by?

Do you know how our fed banks and fed gov operate?

If you meant my post?…Better re read it All…I never used the word “Gov” just Middle class TAX payers.

        • F in. Nut job why cant any of you be happy at least for one day?????

          • It’s bred into us by outside forces that should have left us alone in the first place.

      17. So yesterday they arrested a 9th grader from my son’s school district who had threatened to shoot up and blow up his HS. They found pistols in the kids room.
He’s been arrested for the threats and for being a minor with handguns (not sure about federal but in PA state law you have to be 21 to own or possess a handgun) but MORE IMPORTANTLY his mother was arrested for endangering the welfare if a minor, corruption if a minor, etc. for letting a 13/14 yr old have access to handguns (she is also charged with drug offenses).
I for one think this is a step in the right direction. There is a lack of good parenting in this country in this day and age and I’m happy to see that instead of necessarily blaming and punishing the guns themselves, it’s the parent who allowed her kid to have these guns that is to blame and she is now facing the consequences.
If parents act like responsible parents should act then there would be less of this kind of crap going on in our country.
A firearm is nothing but a tool. You can’t blame the tool which is misused when in this case it is the lack of parenting which could have allowed another tragedy to happen had it not been prevented beforehand.

They shouldn’t ban guns, they should ban stupidity.

      18. I am convinced the economy will not be recovering in any meaningful way other than maybe a few dead cat bounces. The economy is based on infinte growth and CHEAP oil. Cheap oil is going, going, soon to be gone.In the 60s EROEI may have been 100 to 1. The bogus shale oil bubble is maybe 5 or 6 to 1. Shale oil will be like the 1800s gold rushes. They will soon go bust and leave behind ghost towns along with our ghost economy. Better to take the time left to become as self sufficient as possible.

      19. Here is a copy of an incredibly ineffectual “solution” to the school security issue.

In my opinion, this is little more than a visual pacifier for anti-gun parents. People want to feel like they are doing SOMETHING to protect their kids – this ISN’T it!

Many parents seem to feel this will resolve some of the issues – however – from what I’ve read, most school massacres are over within a few short minutes – if there is not someone ALREADY ON SITE to protect the children, there is little that can be done to lessen casualties.

        ***** begin quote*****
The tragedy of Sandy Hook has many parents looking for solutions. Current measures implemented at our local schools are not enough. Manual lockdown procedures are out of date when faced an armed intruder(s). Therefore we are proposing the installation of a “Police Call/Lock Down” button.

Installing a “Police Call/Lock Down” button above each fire alarm allows for instant emergency notification to the police just as the “Fire Switch” provides instant notification to the Fire Department. This simple solution will:
        1) Instantly notify local police of a situation from anywhere inside the school,
        2) Dramatically increase first responders time,
        3) Implement an automatic lockdown notification message using the school’s public address system,
        4) Continue to operate regardless of telecomm overloads/outages,
        5) Piggyback on the existing fire alarm system at reasonable cost.

Regular drills by faculty and students with the system would reduce panic in a real world situation. The system is also less obtrusive and stressful to students than many other potential suggested safety “improvements”, such as uniformed police patrols, metal detectors, etc.

This simple cost-effective solution empowers teachers without militarizing the schools and brings immediate peace of mind to our teachers and our families.

        • When I was a kid, nobody would have EVER abused such a thing, just like the fire alarm (some smartass always pulled the fire alarm on a cold, rainy day). Great idea. The kids would NEVER make the adults chase their tails.

Sadly Daisy, I am sure you’re not making this up. And these people can vote, drive cars, and have kids.

That also serves Fienstiens and klintons et al agenda to Assure NOBODY else can escape! Thus again ensureing many larger body counts and “ammo” for ruthless MSM Liars and Co-Equal enablers of innocents blood.

Another thing such lock down abilities can do is allow fed gov to Kidnap all 55 Million public school kids at same time frame. Then offer gun owner parents a chance to hand in all firearms to get kids released!

I am certain fertile evil minds such as dem libs and finestiens pals will conjour up many more agendas that can be done with this type fool proof system.

      22. real numbers take from an article by mike shedlock.wow!!!The problem is debt. As Bass pointed out “the total credit market debt-to-GDP globally is 350 percent. It’s 200 trillion dollars’ worth of debt against global GDP of roughly 62 trillion.”

The 70-year debt super-cycle is coming to an end. It could have happened last year, or the year before, but it didn’t. It may or may not happen in 2013. the end is nigh….. The good news is we still have time?

I would ask why the younger crowd did not listen. Ten to fifteen years ago they were all out trying to make a killing in the stock market or the housing market and the important issues were laid to the side of the road. Hard to remember that your initial intent was to drain the swamp, when your up to your ass in alligators. Might add about to be bitten too.
It is going to be something when it all goes down. Be it, turn in all your guns or a Martial Law event. It will just set me free.

            • ITS MEANING IS NOTHING EVEN REMOTELY NEAR “MY CRUTCH”.

            • It’s The Iron Cross.

              • Thank you Zoltanne, per the correction! Its been 30yrs since I was in Germany & like I said, my German is very rusty (very poor even). At first glance I thought it meant ‘ones-cross’ (ha-ha)…

I will say this, the German “volk” I met while there, were amongst the finest & most honorable people I have ever encountered in my entire life.

                • Anton: Funny you say that as it is Exactly what Gen. George Patton wrote in his diary!..RE:Not exact quote but close…”After traveling across the entire european nations lands. and observing every different type people there…I have to admit not only are the Germans the Most likeable-wisest-great inventors-White/Christain-but are so much more akin to Americans back home..That I now conclude…We Fought the WRONG enemy!

And further it is still Not to late to make ammends, and get together with the germans still alive and together wipe out the REAL mennace to the whole world!…That being those evil despicable Russian Bolshevik jews aka the Kommies…And I do Fear if those in the whitehouse et al refuse to listen to me again….It is but a matter of time before the same kommies will be on American shores amoung us…It is Far better to fight them Here in europe than wait only to again fight on Our lands back in america!”

Thats from what I read from an article on, Pattons diary from a guys book called pattons diary or similar wrote back in 1976(?) so its NOT exact quoted…But is close enough to reveal Pattons True feelings after he realized we got set up to fight and fight the wrong enemys…Now in 2012 we see Patton Was 100% correct…Todays america is more akin to germany back then, than any other comparison we can find.

And the same kommie bolsheviks are here doing it to us!

Gen. Patton was correct, too bad they assinated him too before he could return stateside to begin alerting our parents and grandparents…

Been sitting in this truck stop staring at the sky for hours…. not a meteor or mothership in sight! I’m disappointed.
So, what are we supposed to do when all hell DOESN’T break loose? I’d stock more bacon in the freezer but I can’t afford it. (Can barely afford 2 slices at a time at Subway)
I’d go get more hi-cap magazines, but the store is sold out. Same with my favorite 7 calibers of ammo.
Maybe I’ll just get some of that diesel they have on sale at $4 a gallon and drive on down the road. Gotta be careful with the cd player though. Better stick to Dwight Yoakam or some old Roger Miller. As moody as I am today, If I accidently popped in the Pink Floyd, I’d probably wake up in some alternate universe. (or at least the dark side of the weigh station)
A universe where people disarm themselves for protection…. where kids are forced into schools to be made illiterate… where gold is not money, but scraps of paper are… where the most dishonest, idiotic people among us are chosen for leadership… where—- Holy mackerel! It’s happening!
……..we don’t need no education… we don’t need no thought control… (Loretta Lynn- Save Me!! Please!)

        • No worries Okie. Tomorrow when you awake you will sigh in relief because it was all just a twisted bad dream brought on by being alone for days on end staring at white dotted lines on asphalt all day compounded by headlights that don’t quiet reach our far enough through the snow at night. Just mental trickery brought on by stress. Everything is actually honkey-dorey. Hell just recently on the news they said that unemployment had dropped to 7.7%. It’s getting better.

        • Ain’t it sumpthin Okie. Hysteria, mass confusion and the like. Just wish I was back on the island I grew up on, ply’in the salt marsh checkin’ “rat” (muskrat) traps. God knows as a child it was indeed a happy time. Catchin’ soft crabs in the summer, grass shrimp and minners(minnows) to sell to the local bait shop. Helpin poppy (my grandfater in his garden) and him given me some xtra veggies to carry around on my bike to sell to the neighbors. Smellin the salt marsh on the breeze in the summer time along with the honeysuckle as I turned the corner to go down the oyster shell road to pick blackberries with my sister so Maw could make a blackberry cobbler. Gotta stop there gettin’ mighty hard to see…….

      28. Well, we have quite a few indicators telling us what is coming. The jig isn’t up just yet, but getting there. Just the fact that Soros dumped a bunch of stock for actual gold should tell people he knows what is up. Keep an eye out, folks. They are telegraphing us messages of wisdom with their actions.

        Keep on a-preppin’.

        • amen to that!

        • What I heard of soros on a msnbc stock tv show was soros sold stock to buy gold…But it said soros has what was it?..$40 Billion?…Or was it $60 Billion?

Either way he bought aprox. $115 MILLION in gold if my memory of that particular msnbc show is accurate?(been awhile since it aired on tv).

BUT in perspective: Its the same as saying me or You has $4000-$6000 and we sold stocks to buy gold valued at Only $115.00 Total….Unless my math is wrong?

          $40 Billion= 4000-millions right?…Soros got $115-Million in gold or thereabouts right?

I do not see any huge concern by this. I bet many times soros sells off huge numbers or values of his vast holdings, only to again Re-invest it into Other stuf right?

Perhaps if soros has $4000-Millions, and he sells off ALL but say $2 million and then re invests it ALL into gold, OR even Corn or wheat…That may raise concern.

Drop the billions to Our type capabilities of Thousands and its like I wrote…Me or you got Four grand cash…And decide to Buy $115 worth of gold or any other thing….is that cause for major concern?…Not for me.

      29. FIRE AND ICE

Some say the world will end in fire
        Some say in ice
from what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire
but if it had to perish twice
I think i know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
        Is also great
        and would suffice

      30. Talk about craziness… A gentleman on Ebay just plunked down $102.00 for a thirty round P-MAG (with window). Last week I could of bought it for $14.00. Another bidder on gunbroker bid and won one hundred, 30 round P-Mags at $75.00 each. Do the math. Insanity! Over one million P-mags have been sold over the last few days. Magpul Industries say it’ll be months before they can get distributors stocked up. You don’t think the government is acquiring any do you?

      31. We went over the fiscal cliff a long time ago. That’s just the name given to the tragedy about to unfold to all those that don’t have the brains, concern or time to put an iota of effort into understanding what it takes to have or maintain freedom and liberty. Happy End of World Day.

      32. To anyone that still cares about earthquake predictions, the system once again worked. 6.8 in Vanuatu. Please check comment #926489 at Dec.9, at 11:12 AM on the article of Preppers who make surviving the apocalypse less fun. Gave a 90% chance of a 6.5 in the locations listed along that line that includes Vanuatu by Dec.24. I thought the next earthquake was going to be a little larger, but the 90% came true. This area of the Bouvet islands when there is a swarm, there is usually a swarm of much larger earthaukes, which again there was.

When there is more indications of earthquakes to come, I will try to let everyone know beforehand. As you can, earthquakes are predictable using distant foreshocks as showing where and when they are coming.

        • Thank you BI!! I watch anxiously and eagerly for your updates. We are all very impressed with your system and appreciate all the work you put into it.

Why am I not surprised? He blames everyone else around him but REFUSES to acknowledge the NRA’s fault for allowing criminals and mentally/emotionally deranged from easy access to assault weapons and military-type firearms with accessories that enables any madman to shoot, maim and kill as many as possible in our malls, our schools, shopping areas and even in places of worship indiscriminately… as many as possible at the shortest time those firearms allow. The victims of the last carnage haven’t even buried and this guy is still worried over his profits, not human lives, or the lives of innocent children caught in the mayhem across America!

If you are sickened by the NRA and their support for mass murder do something about it. Call Congressman Peter King – (516) 541-4225 and Congressman Michael Grimm – (718) 630-5311. Call these local Republican Congressman and tell them that they need to stop their support for the muderous NRA. Call them and demand that they ban Assault Weapons now. Let them know that the sane Americans are the majority, not the sick Gun Freak loudmouths who love their guns more than they love America’s children.

OK, then, we did what the NRA wanted. We Flooded The Nation with Guns. No Imbecile, mental defective or high school dropout is without his own arsenal at this point and all we’ve done is make ourselves less safe than ever. So what we do know is More Guns in the hands of More Imbeciles isn’t the answer. Lets try Plan “B”, Repeal the outdated and dangerous 2nd amendment, register and confiscate the guns, and end the nightmare.

      36. I read an article today by a reporter about Sandy Hook. He observed the helicopter videos that we all witnessed, and also listened to the very detailed police scanners now viral on you-tube.

His conclusions are that Adam Lanza and his mother were killed the day before. Adam was dress in SWAT gear. The other 3 [main psy ops killers] had enterd the building and did the shootings and placed Adam’s body there. The one was caught immediately and handcuffed and placed on grass, as witnesses saw. The other two ran from back of building and into the woods, as we all saw on helicopter video from WABC, and one was caught as we saw and the other had escaped.

None of the 3 are in police custody and nobody knows who they are.

This story makes sense to me.

The 2 captured are not even mentioned in MSM. Guys, something weird and very sinister happened here. Kids were executed and some of the town and media and law is being quiet about it. How about the arresting officers, were they ever interviewed?

This is not conspiracy theories. This is stuff we all saw and heard. What gives?

        • ugly

I witnessed the same videos and this reeks of a coverup ..just where are those arrested as shown by copter videos…?

            • That’s because there are no real journalists in the media – they are simply mouthpieces for the “official story”.

The criteria for the job is no longer a sharp and curious mind. It is the ability to put together a sentence and either punctuate it correctly or deliver it to the camera with the right air of solemnity while wearing a dapper tie with a matching pocket hankie.

              • Daisy,

No doubt. Today’s media is about a story. The truth is last.

          • possee

This is not a grassy knoll because the grassy knoll was a theory based on stories and witnesses that did not gell with JFK killing.

This is different. We saw this, and we heard this. Witnesses saw this. The police scanners reported this.
Then, suddenly, it was a lone gunman and we need gun-control….

This guys theory explains why all the confusion on whether rifle or 2 handguns. Actually, they were all 3….

I hope the coroner reports this. But I doubt it. His interviews were plastic and pale. He didnt seem that affected.

            • Ugly, some questions you need to answer to make it easier for those of us who smell a rat to agree with you and convince others:

              What reporter, reporting where?
              Which youtube address?

I am sorry but in this exchange there is not one single fact. There are allegations and opinions. In order to address the failings of the media the actual video footage is required. Give us the sites where we can see it, or better still where we can download it.

The next step will be a very shoddy “inquirey” that shortcircuits the normal judicial processes in order to spare peoples feelings.

              • Eagle Eye,

The you tube is easy. Just type Sandy Hook, and there are plenty of real videos.

There is no rat as you say. Just curious about these guys that were caught. Did you ever hear about them, or were you not aware of the WABC helicopter video and radio reports?

The report I show is from other sources too, they are not mine, but I am starting to believe in some of the truths in them from what I have read and what I saw from the news and radio that morning.

              • Eagle eye:

here is another on You Tube.

wabc eyewitness news sandy hook elementary man in woods

You dont need to convince others. Just read and view for yourself and decide.

All I am saying is were these people found innocent and set free? If so, that is fine. But the MSM now saying nothing as if these two guys did not exist just begs the questions of who were they.

What do you think? Did you even know about the guy running into the woods during this tragic event where kids were killed? I am only going off of what I saw on news, heard on radio, and read in some media outlets.

Yes, there are kooks out there with all kinds of conspiracy theories, etc. And they should be ignored. But I know what I saw that day on tv and there were at least two guys running into the woods.

              • Eagle eye….One final say by Ugly on this.

I re-read your post and definitely read it differently. Your tone has some anger in it and I dont blame that anger at all. Thse Sandy Hook massacre has shocked all of us.

If you want the full helicopter footage then obviously you will need to contact WABC in that area that covered it.

The You Tube links are but a few and are shortened versions.

You are right that many people post theories and sometimes non-facts, but when there were others arrested and on video it does beg that very important question of who were they?

I will no longer post on this issue. There is nothing I can do about it. If someday there are facts about the man in the woods, then I guess that opens the door for more blogging.

Let me know what you think.

            • Hey Resident “Scholorguy” UGL…What makes You think none of us here were alive to SEE jfk get whacked? I was just 10yrs old…But recall in vivid detail as if occured yesterday!

Theory or no…JFK got hit in Both back of head and Face…Somebody was the Other assasian…Oswald= “I am just a Patsy!” aka Fallguy=cia=Mossad!

              • Angelo,

Ugly was born in Orange California.

You saw the JFK? Bet you was on Apollo with Grandpa Armstrong !!!! Too bad your cousin Lennon no longer here, but Imagine what the world would be like if no country, and above us only sky !!!!

Hey Dude, dont be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. Na na na na Hey Dude….

                Angelo, thanks….

        • Agree, there is no way that 1 person killed all those kids in that amount of time with no “real” training..its not possible..he had help, or he was just the pasty.

          I saw the video’s, I heard the radios..the official story is a lie..period!

or someone in the school ( teacher, parent, etc..) that was packing illegally and took the shooter out, but they dont want us to know that because it would change everything ..wouldnt it?

the end all be all is..the TV story, the news story, isnt the truth

          • VRF.

Eagle eye does have a good point. The stuff I been reading in 2nd hand journalism from other sources. Sometimes I fall for other opinions.

Lets take another viewpoint from the stuff we all heard and seen. First, the police scanners and radio. When tradegy strikes all kinds of stuff can be said in a state of panic and in a state of shock. A listener on the other end can easily misinterpret this type of chatter. An example would be chatter from firemen fighting a big apartment fire. All kinds of things can be said. So one must be careful in intepreting that kind of stuff.

Second, is the man in the woods on video. Sometimes people can be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Maybe a person was getting ready to break into a vehicle and then they saw the cops coming. Obviously, they would think that they were coming after them so they ran and tried to hide in the woods. There could be many reasons why someone was running in the woods.

For me now, I am going to put my faith and trust in the Investigation Team. More info will come out. I gotto quit reading the alternative stuff and falling for it. For me, whatever the citizens of Sandy Hook accept as truth, I will accept it too. If they believe a lone gunman, then I will believe it too….

On this blog and others, I am here to learn about food and preparation. I do feel an economic collapse coming within a few years. So I want to learn what others are thinking and doing. I also read the ads to get ideas and have purchased some stuff that I feel I may need.

I dont want to live in fear or panic. I just want to be prepared and ready if that day comes. Thanks.

      39. Standing Orders, Rogers Rangers

standing orders issued by Major Robert Rogers to his Rangers in 1759.

        1. Don’t forget nothing.

        2. Have your musket clean as a whistle, hatchet scoured, sixty rounds powder and ball, and be ready to march at a minute’s warning.

        3. When you’re on the march, act the way you would if you was sneaking up on a deer. See the enemy first.

        4. Tell the truth about what you see and what you do. There is an army depending on us for correct information. You can lie all you please when you tell other folks about the Rangers, but don’t never lie to a Ranger or officer.

        5. Don’t never take a chance you don’t have to.

        6. When we’re on the march we march single file, far enough apart so one shot can’t go through two men.

        7. If we strike swamps, or soft ground, we spread out abreast, so it’s hard to track us.

        8. When we march, we keep moving till dark, so as to give the enemy the least possible chance at us.

        9. When we camp, half the party stays awake while the other half sleeps.

        10. If we take prisoners, we keep ‘em separate till we have had time to examine them, so they can’t cook up a story between ‘em.

        11. Don’t ever march home the same way. Take a different route so you won’t be ambushed.

        12. No matter whether we travel in big parties or little ones, each party has to keep a scout twenty yards ahead, twenty yards on each flank and twenty yards in the rear, so the main body can’t be surprised and wiped out.

        13. Every night you’ll be told where to meet if surrounded by a superior force.

        14. Don’t sit down to eat without posting sentries.

        15. Don’t sleep beyond dawn. Dawn’s when the French and indians attack.

        16. Don’t cross a river by a regular ford.

        17. If somebody’s trailing you, make a circle, come back onto your own tracks, and ambush the folks that aim to ambush you.

        18. Don’t stand up when the enemy’s coming against you. Kneel down, lie down, hide behind a tree.

        19. Let the enemy come till he’s almost close enough to touch. Then let him have it and jump out and finish him with your hatchet.

      40. Improbable Collapse – The Demolition of Our Republic (Full Version)

On September 11, 2001 the World Trade Center Twin Towers disintegrated in a manner that scientists say resembled deliberately calculated implosions. The facts open for discussion include: at 5:20 p.m. that same day another building, the 47 story WTC 7, completely collapsed within 70 feet of its footprint in 6.6 seconds. These three buildings became the first such structures to ever suffer complete collapse due to fire and damage.

The film examines one of the world’s worst civil engineering catastrophes, using photographs, video footage as well as expert scientific testimony. The film thoroughly examines the official reports, offering varied criticisms of the official findings, while raising a more plausible hypothesis. The findings from these scientific experts have been quietly ignored by both government investigations and the mainstream media. http://www.911truth.org

      42. Thank you to Be Informed. I am always watching and interested in the earthquakes and their patterns.
I just listened to Coast to Coast for a few minutes.
They said that Haarp was being used by governments all over the world to prevent the earth tilting. The show is starting to lose its luster, and if I happen to be up I will turn it on for a few minutes. The show is now all commercials also. I take it with a grain of salt.
I rather have your expertise any day.

        • @ Anonymous. I use to listen to Coast to Coast with Art Bell, and it was really entertaining but seldom did much come to fruitation. I appreciate what you say about what I talk about. I have a deep respect for the people here and I do not want once give someone false information because it might sound good. I will not exaggerate anything, accuracy is extremely important to me as I would expect the same from others on what I would want to know. When I say that 9.0 energy has built up on the Cascadia fault for example I am fairly sure of this.

Many people talk about california falling into the ocean and unless there is some sort of pocket under the crust this will not happen. However, parts of the coastline can become extremely liquidified because of flooding and can slump into the sea after a very large earthquake. many people say 9+ with the San Andreas, but likely it will be between 8.1-8.4 unless the entire fault breaks. The 7.7 on the San Andreas that those in california talk about is an utter lie to keep the population from thinking about 8+ earthquakes. 8 looks a lot worse than high 7 range. The 1992 Landers earthquake in the desert was between 7.3-7.5 depending on the seismic source, and the San Andreas breaking from the Salton Sea to The Grapevine would produce a 8.0 at least, to Parkfield a 8.1-8.4. It is so important to strive for exactness.

There is so much crap about the English being so much better off than the U.S. because of their ban on firearms and everything else considered a weapon. What piers morgan doesn’t tell you is that the crime rate for violent crimes is several times higher in England than in the U.S. Numbers that are not expressed because it makes England look like a hell hole for crime, which it most certainly is. People are fricken terrified to defend themselves in England also because the courts over their highly value the criminal not being hurt. These morons want to pattern the U.S. after England’s almost total taking away of people’s self defense is what is so sickening.

I am going to try to study the geo-physical more because this issue with gun rights is giving me a stomach ache, these bastards want to take away not only our guns but almost ALL of our self defense just like in England.

      43. A LITTLE GUN HISTORY

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.

        >From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated
Guatemala established gun control in 1964.

From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

With guns, we are ‘citizens’. Without them, we are ‘subjects’.

During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!

If you value your freedom, please spread this antigun-control message to all of your friends.

SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN!
SWITZERLAND’S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE.

SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!

        IT’S A NO BRAINER!

DON’T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.

Spread the word everywhere you can that you are a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment!

It’s time to speak loud before they try to silence and disarm us.

You’re not imagining it, history shows that governments always manipulate tragedies to attempt to disarm the people ~ REMEMBER THE DICK ACT 1902 PROTECTS YOUR RIGHTS TO BE ARMED .

      45. Fun With Lang-Widge part 5

It’s interesting how words and phrases change over time. And new ones get added to the language. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up. Each generation seems to have an entirely different understanding of certain words.
To my parents, ‘bitchin’ meant complaining. To me it meant awesome (as in a bitchin new GTO) Today it means cruising the hood to find a one-night girlfriend.
Crackers used to be saltines. Today they’re anybody 50% whiter than Obama.
Today, everybody uses a cell phone a dozen times a day. Not too long ago, you could only use the cell phone once. And you had to decide whether to call your brother for bail money, or the boss to tell him you’d be late for work.
‘Nuking’ was what we hoped the Americans and Russians wouldn’t do to each other. Nowadays, we routinely do it to popcorn and think nothing of it.
Back then, a ‘barrista’ (as far as we knew) was probably a South American belly dancer. We’d gladly have paid money to see her. Today, it’s a 17 yr old kid selling you a $6 cup of coffee.
‘Under water’ used to mean you needed a lifeguard. Today, it means you need to file bankruptcy. Either way, somebody’s gonna get soaked.

      47. The whole situation has gone beyond stoopid, passed to fast by crazy + insane lane and is now clearly injurous to any man left standing with 1/2 a brain.

TPTB are now getting REALLY sloppy with the propaganda, false flags, msm lies etc. It’s like they really cannot be bothered to pretend anymore, so lazy & blatent are things becoming with the MSM. The truth is so clear and plain to see that’s it’s scary.

Frankly if you aren’t prepping now then you need to be applying for your posthumous Darwin award.

Dentention without trial is already in place, preppers are being demonised in the phlebs imagination, (lest any lemmings don’t want to willingly jump over the cliff) the true economic position is obvious to anyone able to count back the change from their weekly trip to the grocery store.

It’s time to officially become the “Grey Man” unless the opportunity for meaningful resistance occurs. Withdraw quietly from the “mainstream” without attracting attention to yourself. Do not get involved in conversations with anyone outside the home about religion or politics at this time, it’s OK to be seen as apathetic about such thing, it’s dangerous to be seen as “the other”. (victims of genocide are first always dehumanised in the popular imagination as “the other”). My family hides many of our prepping activities behind hobbies – my mother’s botanical illustration is cover for her smart foraging & her urban medicinal garden.

I’m stepping up the long term items such as heirloom seeds, & books. Sadly I see a rapidly increasing risk of a long emergency that becomes multi-generational and affecting our grandchildren, rather than just messing with my own retirement plans as I’d assumed in the run up to 2008.

      48. As if there were no OTHER evidence that the facts on the Newtown CT killing spree are totally different from what the fanatical gun-grabbers and statists are telling us, please take note of THESE interesting and suspicious “coincidences” with other infamous massacres which were exploited to restrict gun rights in other countries:

Martin Bryant, the 28-year-old perpetrator of the Port Arthur massacre of 28 April 1996 (which led to Australia’s draconian gun ban) was from a suburb of Hobart called NEW TOWN.

“In a 2011 interview, his mother recalls that she would often find his toys broken at a very young age, branding him an “annoying” and “different” child. A psychologist’s view was that he would never hold down a job as he would aggravate people to such an extent that he’d always be in trouble.”

“He was described by teachers as being distant from reality and unemotional.”

“Bryant’s mother, Carleen Bryant, said her son had been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome.”

“Bryant was reassessed for his pension and a note was attached to the paperwork “Father protects him from any occasion which might upset him as he continually threatens violence … It would be unsafe to allow Martin out of his parents’ control.”

“He often wore a grey linen suit, cravat, lizard skin shoes and Panama hat while carrying a briefcase during the day, telling anyone who listened that he had a well-paying career. He often wore an electric blue suit with flared trousers and a ruffled shirt to the restaurant he frequented. The restaurant owner recalled: “It was horrible. Everyone was laughing at him, even the customers. I really felt suddenly quite sorry for him. I realised this guy didn’t really have any friends.”

“As a response to the spree killing, Australian State and Territory governments placed tight restrictions on semi-automatic centre-fire rifles, high-capacity repeating shotguns and high-capacity rifle magazines. In addition to this, heavy limitations were also put into place on low-capacity repeating shotguns and rim-fire semi-automatic rifles. The Tasmanian state government attempted to ignore this directive but was threatened with a number of penalties from the federal government.[citation needed] Though this resulted in stirring controversy, opposition to the new laws was overcome by media reporting of the massacre and mounting public opinion in the wake of the shootings (see Gun politics in Australia for more information on the 1996 legislation).”

        2) Here are some “details” from the official story of the Dunblane Scotland School massacre of 1996 that led to the UK’s draconian gun ban:

“Thomas Hamilton (born Thomas Watt, Jr. 10 May 1952) walked into Dunblane Primary School armed with two 9 mm Browning HP pistols and two Smith & Wesson M19 .357 Magnum revolvers, all legally held.[2][3] He was carrying 743 cartridges, and fired his weapons 109 times.”

“After gaining entry to the school, Hamilton made his way to the gymnasium and opened fire on a Primary One class of five- and six-year-olds, killing or wounding all but one person.”

“Fifteen children died together with their class teacher, Gwen Mayor, who was killed trying to protect the children.”

“A teacher in the mobile classroom had previously realised that something was seriously wrong and told the children to hide under the tables.”

“The Gun Control Network was founded in the aftermath of the shootings and was supported by some parents of victims at Dunblane and of the Hungerford Massacre.[12] Bereaved families and their friends also initiated a campaign to ban private gun ownership, named the Snowdrop Petition (because March is snowdrop time in Scotland), which gained 705,000 signatures in support and was supported by some newspapers, including the Sunday Mail, a Scottish newspaper whose own petition to ban handguns had raised 428,279 signatures within five weeks of the massacre.”

“Public debate subsequent to these events centred on gun-control laws, including public petitions calling for a ban on private ownership of handguns and an official enquiry, the Cullen Report.” [N.B. When will the BIDEN report be released?]

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunblane_school_massacre

Sound familiar? Apparently, a well-developed SCRIPT is being followed here, folks! Perhaps this is what Obama meant when he told Sarah Brady, ‘We are working on (gun control), but under the radar.’”

      49. For what it’s worth from one of the choir!

We can sit at key boards and type till our fingers bleed, we can get in groups and bump our gums till they bleed and we are out of breath.

It’s F–k’n over, stick a fork in us we’re done, if you don’t believe it, then your part of the problem. If we don’t do something NOW right NOW we will be talking all the way to the CAMPS.

Someone out there with the ability to get the word out and has a huge set of BRASS B-LLS, must stand up a say come on let us take back this COUNTRY NOW.

The methods used to push through “the agenda”, are always so similar as to make you wonder why noone in a position of power ever gets bored and tries summat different just to relieve the boredom.

It’s pretty much rinse/repeat, rinse/repeat as they cut through sovereign nation after sovereign nation. Sadly we fall for the same ol tricks every time, always failing to see the parallels with other nations or historical periods.

Germany & Russia both instituted gun control early last century and we all know how that ended for independent minded middle class types.

There is always a scapegoat whether that be Hitler’s “Jews”, Polpot or Mao’s “intellectuals” etc. Someone always has to play the role of “Tutsi”. Those fleeing persecution as refugees are almost universally resented by host communities

God given liberties the populace take for granted are whittled away(Home schooling is still illegal in Germany even today). Whistle blowers and dissidents are silenced via ridicule or murder. The pomp and ceremony of the circus increases in direct proportion to the reduction in civil liberties. To suggest detention without trial would have spelt the immediate end of a political career in the West just a few years ago.

I’ve just read an interesting novel “Sikander” giving a Pakinstani perspective of that part of the world from the withdrawal of Russian Troops from Afhganistan thru to today’s situation. I rec it to others as it broadened my perspective a little, and helped me join up a few more dots as to why such insanity encircles the globe at present.

        • @ mum —

A very insightful post, in many ways.

“To suggest detention without trial would have spelt the immediate end of a political career in the West just a few years ago.”

This is in keeping with the spirit of the times, which is symbolized by the American “anti-gun” movement: a mass movement with fanatical and ill-informed adherents, willingly whipped up into a frenzy by newspapers that organize petitions to advance the movement’s agenda, and shrill demands for immediate action on the part of politicians, all of which is geared toward — THE VOLUNTARY ABANDONMENT of hard-won RIGHTS. To appreciate just how psychologically bizarre the “Strip me of my freedoms NOW!” crowd is, just imagine if their fanaticism was directed toward criminalizing/banning speech, freedom to travel, ownership of property, the right to a speedy trail, etc.

      51. Just tried getting onto The InfoWars website and redirected to a different site where I was alerted that I had a trojan virus. Luckily, I didn’t click anything and powered down. All good now. Anyone else had this happen to them ever?

        • Iowa,

Yeah, the same thing happened to me. I havent tried it again since it happened to me. Too afraid to. Dont want a computer virus.

      52. “#6 Median household income in the U.S. has fallen for four consecutive years. Overall, it has declined by over $4000 during that time span.”

Great info! I’m in the same camp as Charles Biderman over at http://www.trimtabs.com when he defines a recession as 3 consecutive months of falling take home pay and a depression as 12 months of consecutive falling take home pay. But 4 YEARS? OMG!

      53. So, I am woke up, Mr Snyder.

Got a little gold and silver, got a little garden growing, some chickens a ‘cluckin’ and some food stored for the next storm. Got some tools for rebuilding when the homestead gets blown away. Got a small pea-shooter of a gun to protect limb and home when the bad guys try to come in and take it all from me and as well to scare off the occasional chicken lickin’ varmint. To sum it up I have done the prudent prepping and then maybe a tad more to boot.

In other words, I am woke up. So, what now?

Most of my neighbors and the people I know have the look of slowly boiled frogs. So like the “Good Book” says: Having done all, I stand. For what Mr Snyder? In the end I will no longer stand. Oh I can rebuild from a storm and probably fair better than most. But a tyrannical government slowly builds in the halls of future history and will surely overtake what I have made, what I have learned, what I have built, what I have saved. I find that after all is said and done, I am still in the pot with my fellow frogs.

        So, what now?
