      1. More good ideas Tess. I bought one of those copper ceramic (as seen on tv) pans the other day and that thing is GREAT! Nothing sticks to it and it heats fast and even. I would rather have one of those vs. cast ironware (I have a bunch of cast already). Ace hardware has an as seen on tv section and ours sells those pans. I am going to get another one too. I got one of those little wood stoves you posted a while back and that thing is great too! Keep up the good work!

        • G.. Are you talking about the HQ wood stove? Got one. It fires up nice. Nice smoke stack.

Had a nice bon fire last Nt, saw some shooting stars. 80 degs here in FL today. lol

          • Yes the HQ. Got some fire bricks for it and a door gasket. 28 degrees here now, was -3 last night lol. Oh well I have a huge stack of wood so it’s all good.

            • RE: GOAL ZERO. Unless you are just buying a small folding solar panel and charger, The Rest of Goal Zero’s Products are 100% overpriced crap. Even the small Goal Zero Sherpa 50 inverter charger caught on fire, and almost burned my counter top. Luckily I was in the next room and it was charging in view. It started smoking, then caught on fire. I ran unplugged it, and ran it outside in the yard to burn. I have compelling photos of the Charger on fire. Yep I took it outside and filmed it burning and sent them to the company in my complaint. Even after I doused it with water it kept on burning. SO NEVER NEVER leave any Goal Zero products charging with out you being present, unless you want to burn your house down.

Now I also bought a $1500 Goal Zero Yeti 1250, and it came with 2x 40 Watt Boulder solar panels. What a joke. The unit weighs like 90 Lbs, and if you try to get sun you need to buy the 2x 40 Ft cords($40 Ea) and attach it to the unit which the longer the cord, less 25% in less charging efficiency.. But with this unit, 80 Watts of panels will take a week of sun to charge the unit to full power. The panels are way under rated for charging what the system needs. It was a total waste of money, and luckily Home Depot took the unit back for a full refund after 60 days of testing. So my conclusion is that the Yeti 1250 is a $1500, 90 Lb phone charger and piece of Junk. Don’t Buy it.

Then I got real, and stopped buying the Goal Zero Marketing hype, and got a real solar system. 1200 Watts of 4 panels the size of 3.6 x 6.6 ft long. which was cheaper than the $1500 Yetti 1250 POS with only 80 watts.

Just saying, My experience with Goal Zero was not a good one. They did replace the burned up Sherpa 50 charger and inverter and sent me a whole new set of 4 panel folding and charger, for like charging cell phone etc. I never use it as my bigger solar system is converted to 110 power and a cell phone only takes about 4 watts to charge in a regular house outlet.

FYI- Try to read the product reviews good and bad, before you buy this stuff.. I don’t like pricey surprises.

              • All of those portable solar generators are a GIANT ripoff. Make your own! Here’s what you need for a decent portable unit..

4-100 watt 12 volt solar panels (500 bux on ebay).
1 12volt charge controller (30 amp 30 bux on ebay).
1 1500 watt inverter (around 150 bux most places).
1 12volt dual outlet (cig lighter type with usb port) 12 bux on ebay.
2 (or more) 6 volt golf cart (true deep cycle) sealed batteries. 3-400 at a battery dealer.
                1 2wheel dolly. 35 bux harbor freight.

So for 1000 to 1100 bux you have an actual usable unit with 5 times the power of the 80 watt unit and 3 times the battery storage at least. All you need to complete it is wire and a battery box and box for the inverter and controller (make your own). Make the boxes stackable on the dolly and strap the panels to it and your good to go….

                • Uh Oh, Now is NOT the time to be complacent. Pre-Trump Inauguration Chaos may be unfolding. Why so many foreign troops in Colorado? Grid Down, Mass chaos.

Chaos In Colorado: The NWO Is Making Their Move
                  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbvzdrmzmVE

                  • What could happen is just before Trump in inaugurated, these foreign troops (mostly Russian) in Colorado, will crash the grid nationwide, Obama declare the US is under attack, Trump won’t be the next Pres, And all of these rogue leaders move out to Denver as the Next US Capitol (Denver Airport) and they destroy all of Washington DC in a Nuke attack, and the foreign troops, who have been training will support the Rogue leaders, and try to take over the country. They have moved a lot of supplies and fuel to Denver and Colorado in anticipation of this possible attack, so they can be self sustaining, while the rest of Americans have no electric. Then they just move on us city by city, and kill all of us. If you connect all the dots, this is one scary scenario. However if Trump gets in, he will be operating from some remote location besides the WH, and I hope he immediately orders all foreign soldiers out of the country and starts bringing home all of our troops to protect our country and people, and Jail and kill the opposition as treason. Never underestimate these Freaky Lefty’s who can’t accept their loss of power, and will stop at nothing to keep their agenda alive. So be prepared and keep all your magazines full. Kill every blue helmet in your area. Do not hesitate, as their mission is to kill you and I.

Watch the above video, eye witness accounts as to what is happening in Colorado. None of it makes any sense until you start to connect the dots. Like the all white Plane doing circles around Denver, Denver Airport, Strategic location, Truckloads of concentine wire, etc.

                  • Mac, this video would be excellent to compress somehow. Although I stopped at the 23:00 min. mark for a break, it is pretty compelling. And damn important for everyone to watch!

                • Genius…I’m very solar powered ignorant, and I appreciate the above info. Will this set up power a refrigerator? Some space heaters? A washing machine? Im set up for food, and ammo and was going to use tax refund on power. I was thinking a generator, but your set up sounds better. Thanks in advance for further information.

                  • Someone, A rule of thumb is take your panel wattage (in this case 400) times it by .7 and that is the usable wattage after battery, controller, inverter, wire loss etc. So 300 watts usable power in full sun. You could run a small fridge while the sun is shining but not too long afterward. Anything that heats (space heater, water heater, stove, etc.) Use way to much power and should be run on propane. For around 12,000 you could build a system that will run a full size fridge and washing machine and gas dryer.

                    • And think about a pure sine wave inverter vs. “modified sine” which is not modified, really.
If you want to run a computer or even a modern fridge, you want pure sine wave. Costs a lot more, but..if you will just be running power tools, drills, etc. modified sine will do. Learn a lot at Arizona wind and sun/forums.
The site is good, but when I’ve tried to ask questions about my simple systems, these guys get all techno geek on me and ask ridiculous questions when all I needed was a fricken’ simple answer.
That said, there is plenty of good info there.
I find the whole subject uninteresting as solar is good for limited use or small stand alone applications. I have several for electric gate, water pumping, bathroom lights and fans, and a larger one for washer/dryer.
But it is too expensive and inefficient for most whole house operations, with 10-20 year payoff times.

      2. SOG key knife

At $129, little pricey and I think TSA will confiscate it.

        • Wow, that price is insane. I got a Kershaw model 1970 which has a 3 inch blade (legal for concealed) and is tough as hell and excellent steel and opens super fast and easy for 28 bux on ebay.

          • In fact I bought 2 of them about 9 months ago. Sharpened them with my Worksharp Ken Onion sharpener and haven’t sharpened either since. I use my main one daily and it is as sharp as ever. I get comments at work how sharp that baby is too. The sharpener mentioned above is the best I have ever used and would make a great gift! Same price as the SOG keyknife and 100X more useful.

            • I’m thinking about selling “Get out of Jail Free Cards.” Never know,… a little sense of humor goes a long way.

              • The coldest Bears Game in History in Chi this weekend. minus -30 degs. The wiping winds off Lake Mi are Brutal. Been there did that.

I would think wool blankets, and snow mobile suits. Hot cinnamon shine.

            • Still on the fence about the work-sharp sharpener. Don’t have any electricity post shtf might as well use a rock.

              • Bought a 2 sided sharpening stone at a Flea Mkt for $1.00 Will give that a test when my knives start to get dull. 2 sides each with a different grit, rough and fine.

Lots of peeps unloading lots of great stuff at flea Mkts. Here in FL, there are flea Mkts nearly every day of the week in various locations. 80+ Temps here today. lol I’m sitting in gym shorts, typing, no shirt all the windows and doors open and drinking a brewski. Beautiful and winter sunsets to die for. Cached another 200 Oz of silver out in the boonies today, where only I know where it is. lol.

              • With all due respect, I watched this video, and it was utterly useless. Almost no rationales given, generalizations (“you have to decide for yourself” where to go… well, no duh), over-simplifications, comments that anyone who has grade 2 education would already know (“need to be prepared for the climate you go to”), seeing Canada as one monolithic country (they will “eat you there…” Really??…There is only beaver there? It snows everywhere there? Ever been to Vancouver, buddy?) and worse (“not a lot of wildlife” in the cities. Sorry, but this one was, for me, utterly useless and a waste of time.

            • I’m more into the Benchmade knives. Looking for a good flash light you can charge in your vehicle or house? Take a look at NAPA’s Blue Fuel. They make two sizes, a 300 and 400 lumens. Can light up a couple of rooms when the lights go out. Has USB port and comes with a cord that can switch between house plug or car plug. Great lights. The smaller runs about 27 bucks and the bigger one 60. They have a magnet on the base, two magnets on the back as well as two folding hooks you can hang it by. Check it out at your local NAPA auto parts store.

              • Haven’t put the new Milwaukee knife to the test yet but it looks and feels very solid. 5-3/4″ blade, serrated on one side and standard on the other. $20 with sheath at HD in the hand tools section.
Could make an excellent barter item, too.

                • Ye, i saw those the other day when looking for some other stuff in HD, thats a good deal for sure, wish they would start making multi tools cheap like that,,,

            • My constant carry pocket knife is a “Kershaw 3870 Amplitude 2.5 Folding Knife”. It’s $21.50 on Amazon.

I want in a pocket knife the largest possible blade that I can take anywhere. Military and federal buildings including national landmarks (even many that say no weapons) allow a pocket knife as long as it’s blade is no more than 2 1/2 inch long. To compensate for the smaller size, just keep it razor sharp at all times.

My state does not specify a legal limit length and people found with knives of any length have been done wrong by police, I believe in the absence of a state specification, or an ambiguous specification, the Federal specification could be argued by any good lawyer.

And yes I have larger knives, both folding and fixed in my preps. My daily carry is the ideal gray mans knife. If I’m carrying a larger knife, I still carry my small one. I can pull it out, palm it, use it in a crowded room, and put it away with no one the wiser. Pizza, fruit and bagels tremble before my blade.

Took the family to visit Old Ironsides in Boston. It is officially an active navel vessel subject to military security. While screening the security officer freaked when my whole family produced pocket knives when she asked if we had any weapons, her CO saw the size of our knives and told her to hand them back. She was like but, but, they all have knives? Don’t forget to smile and say thank you in these situations.

              • And may I add, I hate it that so many manufacturers of folding knives have models that are 2 5/8″, exceeding the federal regs by 1/8. Are their designers just ignorant? There are only a tiny number of knives made that match the US Federal spec.

I bought the 2 1/2″ knife made by SOG, but it’s a piece of crap, I returned it because it was so hard to operate that it required two hands to open or close it. Another requirement for me is a folding knife that I can open with one hand, if I’m on a ladder or the other hand is busy. Sog replaced the knife under their product guarantee, the new one was better, but still was not safe to operate with one hand. It also had a plastic frame, very disappointing.

      3. last minute gifts, think ammo!A box is nice,a case is better! As someone keeps posting, when have you heard someone say”I have too much ammo!”?

Genius, given your recent fascination with it how about some tannerite lawn ornaments for loved ones, add to their security a bit!Oh,noticed you posting some Iron Maiden a few posts back, another cultural gift from the grandchildren?!

        • Good idea WC! pink flamingos placed strategically around the yard lol. Iron maiden was a good band back in my heyday. Ammo? I haven’t bought ammo in many many years (except .22). How about powder and boolits? Or perhaps goldfish crackers 😛

          • Oh,how about some hershey kisses?!Mine are thermite mixed with a 7-8% plaster of paris and a green hot burning cannon fuse, cute as hell, can be made as big as one wants and one can add “sticky” to the bottom to attach to hood/cover/box ect. of your choice for all around fun!

As for not buying ammo, this is a gift idea post, not personal consumption post, jeeez!

          • How long with the Tannerite stay potent, after the chems are mixed together? Like could you mix it, seal a container and 3 month later it be just as effective? All opinions welcome. Any stats on that?

          • Or nice shiny new brass!

      4. Probably you guys should consider a nice diamond or yogo sapphire pendant for the wife as she is the one that indulges our preps. of course full disclosure I am jeweler. But…… not the least bit biased……

        • I think women that wear rings on every finger and bangles up the arms, chinking and jingling, and all that crap, pendants and necklaces, looks really cheap, gaudy and Trashy. Just drop them off at the dime store, and scram into the horizon. See ya.

      5. Great list!

        Let me add the following.

1- Lumintop Tool flashlight (runs on one AAA battery)
2- WakaWaka Power (can power your small devices, is rechargable in the sun)
3- NeboTool’s LiL Lucy or LiL Larry 250-lumen light, uses 3 AAA lights
4- Nitecore’s Tube or TIP rechargeable keychain lights (or great on a lanyard)

      6. I am a strong believer in the need to stay warm (just in case). Once (if?) (when?) central heat goes away, or if you are forced to be outdoors for more than a few hours – you get cold really fast. NorseWoman and NorseDottirs are getting two fleece jackets each – one true to size and one larger than the other – for layering or over/under other outerwear. In the past they got boots and socks, or base layers, etc.

Tools, axes, weapons, etc aren’t affected by the cold (until it gets extreme), but the people using them are!

        • We still have HEROS in Congress. I love this Chick from Hawaii. Article by MarketSlant – by Darius Shahtahmasebi and theAntiMedia.org

Congresswoman Says US Is Arming ISIS, Introduces Bill to Stop It

Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has broken free of the corporate media’s narrative by accusing the United States of funding and arming terror groups al-Qaeda and ISIS.

“If you or I gave money, weapons or support to al-Qaeda or ISIS, we would be thrown in jail,” Gabbard tweeted on Saturday.

“The CIA has also been funneling weapons and money through Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar and others who provide direct and indirect support to groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda,” Gabbard stated on the House floor last week.

          She went into more detail:

“The CIA has long been supporting a group called Fursan al Haqq, providing them with salaries, weapons, and support, including surface to air missiles. This group is cooperating with and fighting alongside an al-Qaeda affiliated group trying to overthrow the Syrian government. The Levant Front is another so-called moderate umbrella group of Syrian opposition fighters. Over the past year, the United States has been working with Turkey to give this group intelligence support and other forms of military assistance. This group has joined forces with al-Qaeda’s offshoot group in Syria.

“This madness must end. We must stop arming terrorists. The Government must end this hypocrisy and abide by the same laws that apply to its’ citizens.”

Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration are well aware of the support the Gulf states have provided to ISIS.

The bill would prohibit any federal agency from supporting a terrorist group or funneling support through other countries that directly or indirectly support terror groups. It is also co-sponsored by lawmakers Peter Welch, Barbara Lee, and Trump ally Dana Rohrabacher.

**Yeah stop arming Terrorists, so that should pretty much end all funding to Israehell as well.

      7. I’m going to tell you folks something.

I’m Santa, and Santa got his own Stocking stuffers. #2,4,&10. For the Wife #5, Also for Santa himself #2, and a Bushnell night vision until that you can mount on a rifle.

Another great thing for a Prepper is a VISA gift card so they can get what they NEED or Want.

        Lone Ranger:
You aren’t going to believe this, but I had never heard of NEBO redline flashlights until last night. I was on patrol on one of the country roads we have to patrol and I found one laying in the road way with its light on. looked like it got run over at least once, but still working and I was able to take it apart. Talk about LUCK!

Just think only a week away.
        MERYY CHRISTMAS ALL.

        Sgt.

        • Another thing is a foodsaver vac packer and bags. A smoker, buckets, ceramic cookware. Sarge, did you pay 125 bux for a pen knife?

          • G
Nope, got it at a gun show when they were picking up for around $50.00. The guy was only asking (I think) $70.00.
It was a TRIDENT-FOLD knife. I believe it was a good price. Great knife I highly recommend it.
            Sgt.

            • G
Up right now to take some more Advil. Fell on the frigging ice on my front porch and landed on the concrete steps across my shoulder blades, middle back ,and my ASS. That is what I feel like and ASS. Just hurt my back side and my PRIDE! Going to be stiff in the morning I can feel it already. Laying on and Ice pack when I go back to bed.

I don’t bounce like I use to. LOL.

              Sgt.

              • Sarg:

                Sorry bout dat.

Over the counter pain pills have side effects. Try some turmeric and black pepper which helps with inflammation and pain. That’s what I do, and it helps. Hope it works for you.

                __

                • B
I have Turmeric, and I eat Black pepper all the time.
Thanks for the advise. Will this all help my pride? LOL.
I wish I would have read this before I took 800 mg. of Advil and 1000 mg. of Tylenol. Back to bed with another ice pack.

Man 220 lbs. hitting concrete, the concrete always wins. I thank God nothing got broke.

                  Thanks for the concern.
                  Sgt.

                  • Sarg, glad you are ok. We’ve all done it! If you try turmeric, make sure to use one with BC95, as the other stuff is mostly not absorbable. Curamin is one brand, Life Extension has another. Good prices at Fruitful Yield, with stores all over the People’s Republic of Chicagoland area (prices are really good for most things – just google for location near you). Worst case, mix with black pepper to assist absorption if you can’t find BC95. I found it didn’t help with pain, but your mileage may vary. Worth a try. It’s also really good as a cancer preventative.

This is why I disagree with all those “bring it on types.” Imagine if you broke something, with no medical facility? Imagine you were shot, with only yourself or family to fix you, and no antibiotics? Imagine the suffering of the innocent, like infants, mentally retarded, etc.! A meltdown a la Greece, war with Russia, EMP, etc., may come, but I, for one, do NOT wish this to happen, as a few posters seem to imply on this site.

It is disgusting how, after the USSR fell, the fascist left has frittered away every advantage we had, including a budget surplus. While we must forgive people, we do NOT need to forgive movements, policies, philosophies, etc. (communism, Nazism, radical feminism, etc. Notice I did not say communISTS, Nazis, feminISTS, etc. )

                  • Sorry to hear that Sarge, maybe I will get you some ice melter crystals for xmas!

                    • Oh and BEWARE, Tylenol is the #1 cause of liver failure. I NEVER touch that poison. Advil for me…

                    • From naturalnews . com

Even when taken at recommended doses, acetaminophen, the primary active ingredient in Tylenol, can cause major damage to the liver, potentially leading to liver failure and even death. In fact, acetaminophen is currently the leading cause of sudden liver failure in the U.S., as its toxic metabolites have been shown to kill liver cells. The drug is so toxic that as many as 80,000 people are rushed to the emergency room annually due to acetaminophen poisoning, and another 500-or-so end up dead from liver failure.

                    • “G”
I take more Advil than anything for pain. I’m lucky to take 6 Advil a month.

With 30 MPH winds snow and freezing rain, and Temps in the -10 to -30 degree wind chill range nothing will melt the ice.

Thanks for the concern, but this old bird is pretty tuff and he will be OK in a day or two. My PRIDE is hurt more than anything else. LOL!

                      Sgt.

                • I want to thank the poster who mentioned Tumeric with cucurmin in a post a while back. The gel capsules also have pepper in them, to help with absorbtion. I have moderate osteoarthritis in both knees. I have been on this product for 3 weeks and it is a miracle. I am active again, and feeling 90% better. The doctor told me that I do

                  • The specialist doctor told me that I have great range of motion in both my knees. So, thank you .

                  • May i ask what brand you buy?

                    • Gain – Turmeric Supreme – Joint – Supports a healthy inflammatory response – With herbs to promote joint mobility – Curcuma Synergy – Dietary Supplement – I purchase it at Lori’s Natural Foods, Jefferson Road, in Rochester, N.Y.

                    • Brand name is – Gaia Herbs

              • No “dead cat bounce” Sarg? 🙂

                • Thought Weebles only wobbled, and don’t fall down? ha..

Slippery Ice and Old people don’t mix. Move to a warmer climate. Drop the snow shovel and mittens and move south. Look at the Map again in the Video above to where the best safest place to live are when SHTF. Living up north and a Grid down in mid winter is pretty certain to be a quick death.

We’ll come up in the spring and pick up your preps for ya. thx..

                  • Acetaminophen should NEVER be taken with alcohol. The combination can cause liver failure.

Black pepper can make turmeric 1,000 times more effective. They work synergistically. The black pepper makes turmeric better absorbed and better results.

Food and drug combinations break down to chemicals that either are better together or one can interfere with the other, but in the case of Tylenol and alcohol the interaction is down right deadly.

        • Sarg,

What are NEBO redline flashlites? I saw one on Youtube, but what is the advantage?

I thought you were retired, sarge? Are you a city cop, or state trooper? (Don’t want to know the city, to preserve your privacy). I am in the Naperville/Aurora area, but go shooting out on a private range with a good neighbor, former marine sharpshooter and later IL. state trooper, now retired. Range is about an hour west, and we shoot with a guy who, if you can believe it, knows more than my neighbor the marine sharpshooter/IL. state trooper who was senior enough to be in charge of selecting weapons! I come from a non-gun owning family, so over the years have been getting personal instruction from both these guys gratis, along with no range fees. Talk abouta way to save money!! I have a junk email address you can contact me at, if you want, at [email protected] if you want to join us (not tomorrow, when it will be -20!) shooting sometime. I seldom check this email, and just bulk delete things, but if you put reference SHTPlan or similar, I’ll notice and respond from my real email

Best Christmas wishes to you and yours!

I worked at Marseilles P.D. and Retired when I was 52. (2006). The Chief from our neighboring agency Seneca P.D. called and asked me if I could work parttime for them as they needed a seasoned officer to work with them because they were short Officers. On June 1St. it will be 10 years working parttime with them.

Thanks for the offer, but I’m very sore right now and I think I’ll wait awhile before I go out shooting.

If you like you can also contact me at [email protected]

To you and yours Merry Christmas and very Happy New Year.

            Sgt.

            • Sgt. too late now, but never put your email address completely like you just did. The web bots scan pages and you risk being the source of spam, not only spammed.
Use something like sgt.xxx at hotmail dot com.
              Hope that doesn’t burn you.

          • NEBO is a brand of very nice flashlights.
            Sgt.

        • Yeah Sgt, Visa Gift Cards are OK, and I buy Outback Steak House Gift cards, but NEVER buy some small store gift cards. Hell they may go out of business and close their doors the day after xmas, then you are screwed. Also if you don’t use the Gift Cards right away, they will loose points monthly till there is nothing left. It is a big free money cash pig program for businesses.

          • Also every $50 Outback Gift card you buy, you get an additional $10 free card to use after Jan 1st. I buy $100 worth and then in January, I go in and get my Free Prime Rib dinner with the free $20 cards. Send the other 50’s to good loyal biz clients.

      8. A SOCIALIST CHRISTMAS IN VENEZUELA. OR NOT.

Venezuela is an oil producer but it now imports crude oil from the US. A great place to grow sugar cane could not have Coca Cola because sugar was not available. And I’ve certainly never heard before of an economy so disastrously run that Big Macs were not available because no one could be found to bake the middle part of the bun.

Now this, in a Forbes article taken from an article in http://www.whio.com/news/world/venezuela-seizes-nearly-toys-will-give-them-poor-kids/kelW2MZA1A20A3Go8CFx5H/:

“Venezuela’s socialist government has seized nearly 4 million toys from a private company and says it intends to hand them out as Christmas gifts to poor children this holiday season.” (Gee, anyone wonder what will happen NEXT Christmas? As the Poles under Jaruzelski used to say “When socialism comes to the Sahara, there will even be a shortage of SAND!”)

        • There is no sugar in coca cola anymore, Test.
Some places in Mexico only, from what I’ve heard.

      9. Tess you did a similar thread in the 10th 50 last minute stocking stuffers. Did you forget or are you working for the retail federation trying to squeeze every last Christmas shoppers buck. Like how you put your own book on the last minute list shrewd.? For me I like things like hand made walking sticks maybe a little homemade leather belt pouch. Maybe a homemade quilt. Not much for the store bought stuff. Not trying to be a wise ass just sayin.

        • I have an idea! Take a big smelly crap and wrap it in waxed paper and mail it to the whitehouse! Include a note saying: Sorry I couldn’t afford to buy you a gift so I made one myself lol 😛

      10. Are you fucking kidding me,tried looking at the gifts and the amozon asshole bezos wants me to do a captcha puzzle before viewing, fuck that noise!I also would never support that asshole who owns the bird liner the washington post with a single dollar!

        • In July 2012, Bezos and his wife personally donated $2.5 million to support a fag marriage referendum in Washington, which successfully passed.

          Fuck him. (not literally)

        • After reading how disgusting Bezos is, I would love to find an alternative. Any suggestions, WD? I dumped Farcebook years ago, after being on it for maybe a month or two. How utterly stupid and useless that garbage is. I’d rather be forced to watch a Kartrashian reality show for 24 hours straight than go on Farcebook for 5 minutes.

          • Test,I just search items looking for and browse price wise including the big e,they also probably have evil intents like the a but till I find out will use the sellors there.I always found the big E and other searches 95% of the time plus better then big A prices.

      11. “Balaclava”

I thought that was the Greek pastry.

If you haven’t ate it your missing something (like diabetes and a big waistline). Damn good though.

      12. Spiral Eye needle set with scissors:

These needles can be threaded in the night when vision is a problem. They are made in America of surgical steel ( not nickel like less expensive brands). The scissors are also made of surgical steel and fold for storage in a leather case, for your purse or bug out bag; also, appropriate for your medical supply bag. Buy several. The pointy tip might scratch your eye if you stick your finger in it. Be forewarned. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

        Merry CHRISTmass

        – Hilary Clinton on campaign trail, 2016

Where do you even begin with this? Maybe the very beginning, that we aren’t a democracy, but a republic? And then it goes downhill from there….

      14. I’ve seen police trade in bullet proof vests at gun stores for 50 dollars.

      15. That walking stick is ok but I made a gnarly one out of hickory and made the handle out of a 20oz framing hammerhead they sell for$100 on eBay made out of sassafras also I made a paracord handle slid right up under the hammerhead it serves no purpose but looks cool and gives me 14′ of paracord if needed here’s how to make the paracord gripper

      16. Off Topic:

        What the hell is happening?

Obama spending million dollars of tax money to arm illegal (I’m guessing gang members) to attack at Trump inauguration. That’s high treason. Right???

        Obama charged with treason.

Is this for real?? Or what???

        __

        • BA,were did you hear this?I would not put past obola but have not heard or seen this except your post.

While glad Trump won as hated billary still see him as possible trojan horse, willing to give him a chance though.

I would say folks trying to stop innaguration will find out they are fucking with the wrong people, lets face it,one on one Trump folks alot more likely to fight then average snowflake, word of armed folks, well, once again, put my money on Trump supporters being much better shots on avergae!

      17. Conservative Daily Post.

American Conservative News says the charges are a suit about Guantanamo Bay. So why not for arming foreigners. Isn’t the physical arming of a foreigner hostile to a president elect and citizen supporters, the very height of treason. I think so.

      19. OK BA,read some of the articles, and, actually, they do not worry me too much.I do see a bigger agenda in regards to the fed raising rates(rates a joke, fed needs to go!)and the timing believe done to disrupt the new admin.I would say the battle will long term be with the fed/imf ect.,and, they need to be destroyed along with un interference with the US!

Side note, that is sooo cute, spell check wants me to use capitols when spelling un,fuck that noise!

      20. SHTF means fires and heaters. Keeping fires under control means smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as well as fire extinguishers. Most preppers have these but there are also ointments designed for treating burns which most preppers don’t stock. These ointments usually contain lidocaine and are for minor burns but if medical help isn’t available, I’m going to use for every kind of burn or if I have to stitch a wound. There is an expiration date so you may have to buy new supplies periodically. Another choice would be a supply of antibiotic creams. People think about unprepared neighbors demanding food, but if they haven’t stocked food then they probably haven’t any first-aid supplies either. If it becomes known that you have these supplies, they will come to you. It is the natural thing to do to help, but if you use your supplies, they won’t be there when you need them. Think about this before SHTF. Have a Merry Christmas and may the shit never hit the fan!

        • Colloidial silver gel is awesome for burns. They heal twice as fast! Also get some of the silver impregnated burn bandages. I use the gel for cuts and abrasions too. I cut my leg once with a chainsaw at the cabin and all I had was the gel, it healed fast and clean.

          • Chain saw safety chaps…no one should use a chain saw without them..

          • Remember plain ‘ol sugar will heal wounds and cuts.

            • If you ferment it with yeast lol.

              • Or just make you forget about the pain…LOL.

        • For minor burns run cold water, it stops the burn from going deeper. In the kitchen, I get little burns picking up a hot plate, a quick run to the sink and running cold water over it keeps it from forming a blister, and cuts down the sting. Sometimes I get ice and put it in a bowl. Fill the bowl with water and soak my finger tips for five to ten minutes. It works on little mishaps. But severe burns are different.

A close friend burned himself so bad he was driven mad from pain, temporarily. Now, they can put a person in a coma until they heal some. Would not be able to deal with that without major intervention. If no doctor was available, maybe get a hard core drug. That is a senario to avoid.
When dying the docs put pain meds under the tongue. Dying sucks. Nobody should have to do it. Oh, well.
          __

      21. FWIW, a Boy Scout Handbook might be of worth to a Prepper, master all the skills in it and you are about as prepared for anything that happens as it is possible to be.

        • Yeah the Cub/ Boys Scout Manual’s Motto is “Be Prepared” And the FBI’s Translation of “Be Prepared” means you are a Domestic Terrorist. A massive disconnect.

I hope Trump cleans out the FBI LEO pig sty, top to bottom. As well as DEA, ATF, CIA, DHS, TSA, ICE, Fish and Game, EPA, FDA, and the rest of the alphabet agencies that are rigged against the American people and used primarily as taxing agencies.

        • I was going to join the boy scouts but I was too busy eating brownies 😛

          • You, too?

            .

      22. Genius, thanks for the tip about colloidal silver. In a SHTF situation, arson is a real possibility. If houses in your neighborhood mysteriously start catching fire, people would rethink plans to shelter in place. If have purchased extra smoke detectors to reduce the time needed to know about fires. If 911 is seriously impaired, I would have to go outside to fight the fire. I would make a good target. A controlled fire that wouldn’t threaten the house (and its contents) that would set off the smoke detectors could be used to lure homeowners outside. Am I being paranoid?

        • No but they ARE out to get you!

      23. Brian, The best way to defend your house is NOT sitting comfi in your house, but out in the night shadows outside and watching your crib from a distance, where you can engage thugs in an ambush as they begin to approach your house. Set up a lawn chair behind some sandbags. Most will scatter and run away, and not come back after being fired upon. Or kill em, shoot shovel and shut up. Lots of people will go missing in SHTF, Thugs will not be missed, and most will just think they left the area, in search of other options.

In SHTF WROL you make up your own rules. Especially in the boonies and rural areas. lol I only see cops when I go into town. They know everybody out here in the country are well armed to the teeth and packing daily, and we know the terrain and area way better then they do. Have ya’ll found a good hanging tree yet, for Post SHTF?
