TRUMP SAYS: HUNTER MAKES FORTUNE FROM SHADY DEALS!
BIDEN FAMILY STINKS TO HIGH HEAVENS OF CORRUPTION!

If the economy is getting better, then why does poverty in America continue to grow so rapidly? Yes, the stock market has been hitting all-time highs recently, but also the number of Americans living in poverty has now reached a level not seen since the 1960s. Yes, corporate profits are at levels never seen before, but so is the number of Americans on food stamps. Yes, housing prices have started to rebound a little bit (especially in wealthy areas), but there are also more than a million public school students in America that are homeless. That is the first time that has ever happened in U.S. history. So should we measure our economic progress by the false stock market bubble that has been inflated by Ben Bernanke’s reckless money printing, or should we measure our economic progress by how the poor and the middle class are doing? Because if we look at how average Americans are doing these days, then there is not much to be excited about. In fact, poverty continues to experience explosive growth in the United States and the middle class continues to shrink. Sadly, the truth is that things are not getting better for most Americans. With each passing year the level of economic suffering in this country continues to go up, and we haven’t even reached the next major wave of the economic collapse yet. When that strikes, the level of economic pain in this nation is going to be off the charts.
The following are 21 statistics about the explosive growth of poverty in America that everyone should know…
1 – According to the U.S. Census Bureau, approximately one out of every six Americans is now living in poverty. The number of Americans living in poverty is now at a level not seen since the 1960s.
2 – When you add in the number of low income Americans it is even more sobering. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 146 million Americans are either “poor” or “low income”.
3 – Today, approximately 20 percent of all children in the United States are living in poverty. Incredibly, a higher percentage of children is living in poverty in America today than was the case back in 1975.
4 – It may be hard to believe, but approximately 57 percent of all children in the United States are currently living in homes that are either considered to be either “low income” or impoverished.
5 – Poverty is the worst in our inner cities. At this point, 29.2 percentof all African-American households with children are dealing with food insecurity.
6 – According to a recently released report, 60 percent of all children in the city of Detroit are living in poverty.
7 – The number of children living on $2.00 a day or less in the United States has grown to 2.8 million. That number has increased by 130 percent since 1996.
8 – For the first time ever, more than a million public school students in the United States are homeless. That number has risen by 57 percent since the 2006-2007 school year.
9 – Family homelessness in the Washington D.C. region (one of the wealthiest regions in the entire country) has risen 23 percent since the last recession began.
10 – One university study estimates that child poverty costs the U.S. economy 500 billion dollars each year.
11 – At this point, approximately one out of every three children in the U.S. lives in a home without a father.
12 – Families that have a head of household under the age of 30 have a poverty rate of 37 percent.
13 – Today, there are approximately 20.2 million Americans that spend more than half of their incomes on housing. That represents a 46 percent increase from 2001.
14 – About 40 percent of all unemployed workers in America have been out of work for at least half a year.
15 – At this point, one out of every four American workers has a job that pays $10 an hour or less.
16 – There has been an explosion in the number of “working poor” Americans in recent years. Today, about one out of every fourworkers in the United States brings home wages that are at or below the poverty level.
17 – Right now, more than 100 million Americans are enrolled in at least one welfare program run by the federal government. And that does not even include Social Security or Medicare.
18 – An all-time record 47.79 million Americans are now on food stamps. Back when Barack Obama first took office, that number was only sitting at about 32 million.
19 – The number of Americans on food stamps now exceeds the entire population of Spain.
20 – According to one calculation, the number of Americans on food stamps now exceeds the combined populations of “Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.”
21 – Back in the 1970s, about one out of every 50 Americans was on food stamps. Today, close to one out of every six Americans is on food stamps. Even more shocking is the fact that more than one out of every four children in the United States is enrolled in the food stamp program.
Unfortunately, all of these problems are a result of our long-term economic decline. In a recent article for the New York Times, David Stockman, the former director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Ronald Reagan, did a brilliant job of describing how things have degenerated over the last decade…
Since the S&P 500 first reached its current level, in March 2000, the mad money printers at the Federal Reserve have expanded their balance sheet sixfold (to $3.2 trillion from $500 billion). Yet during that stretch, economic output has grown by an average of 1.7 percent a year (the slowest since the Civil War); real business investment has crawled forward at only 0.8 percent per year; and the payroll job count has crept up at a negligible 0.1 percent annually. Real median family income growth has dropped 8 percent, and the number of full-time middle class jobs, 6 percent. The real net worth of the “bottom” 90 percent has dropped by one-fourth. The number of food stamp and disability aid recipients has more than doubled, to 59 million, about one in five Americans.
For the last couple of years, the U.S. economy has experienced a bubble of false hope that has been produced by unprecedented amounts of government debt and unprecedented money printing by the Federal Reserve.
Unfortunately, that bubble of false hope is not going to last much longer. In fact, we are already seeing signs that it is getting ready to burst.
For example, initial claims for unemployment benefits shot up to385,000 for the week ending March 30th.
That is perilously close to the 400,000 “danger level” that I keep warning about. Once we cross the 400,000 level and stay there, it will be time to go into crisis mode.
In the years ahead, it is going to become increasingly difficult to find a job. Just the other day I saw an article about an advertisement for a recent job opening at a McDonald’s in Massachusetts that required applicants to have “one to two years experience and a bachelor’s degree“.
If you need a bachelor’s degree for a job at McDonald’s, then what in the world are blue collar workers going to do when the competition for jobs becomes really intense once the economy experiences another major downturn?
Do not be fooled by the fact that the Dow has been setting new all-time highs. The truth is that we are in the midst of a long-term economic decline, and things are going to get a lot worse. If you know someone that is not convinced of this yet, just share the following article with them: “Show This To Anyone That Believes That ‘Things Are Getting Better’ In America“.
So what are all of you seeing in your own areas?
Are you seeing signs that poverty is getting worse?

WTF has happened…? Get back to buying American and America – get back to work!
Clearly, being a services-driven economy is not working. We have to get back to building and manufacturing our own goods – the things we need and then buy them from here!
NAFTA happened back in the 90’s and it’s been down hill ever since.
Granted the sinister politics had a heavy hand in it, but this country was built on building and making and manufacturing. I cannot be convinced that a baby bottle, or plate or pair of socks is less expensive to build and ship here than it is to make in our own backyard. It just can’t be so…
Our (great)grandparents and parents built this country on that…
Too many quitters…
And I step off my soapbox now..
Amen JASPak. 1) Obama’s change- any more questions. 2) More than a million homeless school children, where and how did they get this statistic? This should anger 100% of the people.
I don’t fault the messanger and appreciate this info. Homeless children, families, vets, etc.. and they want us to believe the economy is bouncing back and priority one is gun control?
Lord, it is hard to love and pray for our enemies when they abuse people, especially children.
I do fault the messenger. This stuff is just what the poverty pimps want published so they can convince the working taxpayers to hand over more of what they earn to the welfare establishment.
No mention of 12 to 20 million illegals there, was there?
Just wait till the gov-clowns realize that public school systems need to provide overnight care, ie sleeping quarters. Just wait…..
Agenda 21, population management and control — it’s here and it has been gaining speed.
Coach,
They will simply take the money at this point,
as there is no need to convince that “minority” of the population to hand it over.
DRD5508 your comment stressed out in another article
sounds like your stressed out if you read the bible you would know the church was commanded to take care of the poor not the goverment but the church supports goverment
welfare programs that way they can pockect all the cash
so dont say the goverment is your enemy when it comes to the poor its the church research their then you will have areason to be pissed
continue their bank accounts
Stock prices being up only means more of our money is going to the richest of the rich, and has nothing to do with common people being able to live on what they can make.
Swampratt, I’m not stressed out, I do thank you for your thoughts. I am a preacher/chaplin and have been a student of scripture for many years. Having studied religions since 1972 and found the Bible to be truth.
I do understand we should take care of the poor, yet like Germany, we as a church have given way to the gov’t. There seems to be too much apathy within American Christianity. I have seen children around the world abused, starving, and homeless and there is nothing wrong in weaping for our children’s plight.
Huh? Your post makes no sense.
DEE half the stuff on this site makes no sense people in this country have become lazy they say they live in poverty half the the peoplein the world live inpoverty if a person in this country has a cell phone thenhe should ba abled to buy a gun and hunt for food or buy a rod an reel and fish for food people in this country lived the good life to long had good jobs blew all their money instead of saving lost their job and now their crying they dont need to blame anyone but themselves
I don’t know about your church. Mine runs an orphanage, a home for teen mothers, a food bank, teams that volunteer on weekends to do repairs for the elderly who can’t afford it, hurricane relief when needed, etc., etc. It doesn’t matter the size of your church. Light a fire under the brethren and do SOMETHING for your community. Help lessen the need for .gov assistance in your community and make it irrelevant. This is the way to change peoples’ minds about what .gov is for.
Yah, our future is looking so bright,
we’ll all be wearing dark sunglasses
Sadly it is the truth. Americans cannot subsist on $1.87 a day like they can other courntries. We won’t put up with a lack of benefits, low pay and horrible working conditions.
But the 1% will for damned sure exploit those who will.
It’s all about their gd profit margins and to hell with the American people.
Well, baby bottles wouldn’t be less expensive to build elsewhere and ship here if not for taxation and regulation. The government minimum wage price-fixing scam also ensures that any job that isn’t worth paying someone so much as minimum wage will be given to someone overseas where they don’t set the price on all menial labor so high as here… or to an illegal immigrant worker, since anyone who’s already breaking the law can obviously ignore the minimum wage as well.
As it is, the reason so many have thrown in the towel is that the government has destroyed the bottom rungs of the employment ladder. What good is going into debt to get training for jobs that won’t even exist when you graduate? And why would anyone want to pay minimum wage to a guy to make far too few baby bottles to be worth the money when he can get them overseas from guys who get paid a dollar a day, or just spring for a machine to make them and cut out the menial laborers altogether?
What I’m saying is, it does cost less to manufacture stuff overseas, but it doesn’t need to. There are plenty of potential employers who could make stuff for us here more cheaply than they do in China if they were allowed to set their own prices and keep more of their profits the way the guys in China are.
If one were to research it, I’ll bet you would find a BOOK of regulations concerning the production and sale of baby bottles. And thet goes for every damn thing you can think of! The regulations, Federal, State and Local are enough to make you insane. No wonder so much manufacturing has been pushed offshore.
@its over,
Seriously… Your solution is to pay workers here even less than minimum wage. Obviously you have never worked for minimum wage ever. I often had to take a minimum wage job survive. From cleaning toilets to delivering news papers. It is almost impossible to support yourself not to mention a family with the money I was making. I’m lucky enough now that I have a good job and can take care of my family but the idea of paying third world wages is ridiculous.
The solution is to abolish minimum wage altogether. When you set the price of something above its actual market value, be it baby bottles or employment, you get a glut of unsold product. This is not negotiable: if making baby bottles is not worth minimum wage (and it isn’t), local employers who obey the minimum wage laws simply won’t employ anyone at it.
Trying to fix the price of all employment to a “living wage” the way you suggest is part of how our government screwed up the market in the first place. Take a good look at the unemployment around you: how many actual entry-level jobs do you see available to youngsters just starting out who need the experience? None, which is why those kids are stuck being unemployed: they’ve been priced out of the market because entry-level jobs pay what you call “third world” wages and have therefore been outlawed.
Meanwhile, what very few jobs haven’t been outlawed now have a years-of-experience requirement which those youngsters can’t meet because they can’t get years of experience until they’re hired and they can’t get hired until they have years of experience. See why they’re unemployed, and staying that way?
Maybe you mean well by agreeing with the government’s price-fixing, but in practice you’re hurting the very people you think you’re helping when you support minimum wage. Government price-fixing, whether it’s called minimum wage or anti-gouging or whatever else, is socialism and like all socialism will inevitably lead to shortages and poverty for us all.
If you abolish these price controls, there will be a lot of really crappy low-level jobs, but the money one gets from those jobs will actually buy plenty of stuff the way it does in those “third world” countries (such as China). You’re making ten cents an hour in some Chinese sweatshop making baby bottles? Well yeah, but the bottle itself ends up costing five cents at retail, so suddenly half an hour’s work earns you a baby bottle for your kid. Better yet, since you’re with the company, they’ll give it to you wholesale for three cents. Of course, if you know how to do more than just make baby bottles, you might want to apply for that job up the street putting microchips in cheap cell phones for fifty cents an hour, which should be available to you now that you have a year’s experience in manufacturing…
@Its Over,
I completely see the point you are making, and to a certain degree, I agree with you. However, I didn’t state or suggest that everyone needs to make a “living wage”. Thats not realistic. I guess my concern with what you are saying is what would stop China or whoever from continuously undercutting our wages? I just see a never ending downward spiral.
There are 2 sides to minimum wage…..if it’s high enough to work at say, a fast food place, and you can support a family, then it can lead to the cost of the food there to be so high that the job ceases to exist. Hoover tried to force employers to keep the wages high at the beginning of the Great Depression, but it didn’t help. Then Roosevelt came in with the “programs” and we see where that got us, lol. For me, I think we have too much government, too many “feel good” idiots in control that have never had to work a manual job, have a grocery budget of 60 bucks a week and have never actually “earned” any trophy but whined until we stopped keeping scores because they didn’t want to have to work hard. If they had to live for a couple of years in our shoes, wonder if there would be Christmas for their kids, worry about paying the light bill, going without so the kids have plenty to eat, I bet things would change.
The fallacy in Ghost Rider’s contention is thinking that everyone seeking employment needs a “living wage” to make it worth their while. Considering how many teenagers living with their parents, “boomerang” college graduates, singles with low cost-of-living expenses, and semi-retired people with pensions and retirement accounts the unemployed include, this simply isn’t so.
Moreover, the value of your work is not set by your needs, but by your employers’. If what you do for a living doesn’t profit your employer enough to justify paying your wage, either your wages will be cut, you’ll lose your job, or your whole company will fail. Therefore, everything a good government does should be about easing up on employers to make it worth their while to employ people, rather than cracking down and trying to force them to hire people they can’t afford. You do that, and… well, you see what’s happening to California and New York and now Colorado: the companies either move on to greener pastures, or they die.
Seeing a working stiff barely scraping by on his wages may actually stir a kind of compassion in a government bureaucrat’s heart, but the tender mercies of the government bureaucrat are cruel, as is the “compassion” of giving other people’s money to that working stiff without considering how it will corrupt that working stiff’s work ethic and punish the employer for employing him. Socialism in all of its forms was always initially well-intentioned, but the road to Hell is paved with some of the very best of these intentions, and so is the road to economic damnation. What bureaucrats need is not the experience of being a working stiff, but the experience of being a private employer so they can see for themselves how business and the economy really work.
I would take a job on the side today for $5hr if I could…theres just no work available in this area…good thing I dont need much FRN fiat to keep the wolf away…used to be able to pick up work on the side like that somewhat regular…not anymore…glad I got this homestead.
So you are one of the bastards that benefits from slavery thinking you are special.
THe system is rigged for the elite and you are too stupid to realize it.
Profits like the ones in chinktown. THey make profits like we have the ponzi way with bullshit valuations of worthless stock, controlled by the wealthy in the casino of the NWO.
Thanks for being another moron. ONe thing I know, is that you’ll get what’s coming to you and I hope you record your crying like a little piss ant baby.
Take your meds, Ruffcut.
Yes, it is cheaper to make and ship things here. In fact it is cheaper to ship chickens overseas process them freeze them and ship them back than to do it here. WHY? Because of minimum wage, unions, environmental constrictions, taxes and regulations.
Just like you would drive a little farther to get a bargin on something. Think about it, if you are buying a shipload of socks or baby bottles.
True but if the govt would get out of the way it wouldnt be….they distort the free market and we pay the price.
OK. Here is the mean comment from the asshole guy. ” Many AMERICANS are lazy, stupid, useless, pieces of shit and many more are following their example “.
I am nothing special. I lost my carpenter business ( and much more ) completely 4 years ago. I am a pipefitter now making $28.00 dollars an hour with lots of overtime.
One contractor alone has stated ” with the work we have on the books right now we are going to be short 20 thousand workers in 2013 and 2014. No shit. Combo welders are getting $32.00 per hour.
At least half of the several hundred workers at my jobsite are from central and south american countries. No shit again. These guys are not stupid Illegals from the Home Depot parking lot. They are skilled workers from shipyards and plants ( chemical and refinery ).
Construction can be hard but what I do now is nowhere near as hard as being a self employeed carpenter. I would not let my kids go hungry just because something was hard.
Americans are not what our grandparents were. Televisionized, drug and alcholized, sports addictized, pussyfied, soft and weak, scared, no confidence, easily influenced ( negatively ) gutless cawards with zero character. WTF.
Sometimes you have to travel for work. Get over it. THE BEST WAY TO GET ON YOUR FEET IS BY GETTING OFF YOUR ASS. PERIOD. Lets dump the loser talk and get with the f*cking program people.
I agree, but they will fix it by brining more Mexicans in. Get rid of all of them and fix the problem.
More illegal Mexicans brought in = an unbeatable Democrat voting base. We are toast.
Yes, and soon they will all be signed up to vote with help from the Obamacare “facilitators”.
Our tax dollars at work…
Obama recently said he needs Pelosi as speaker of the house, so “he can get a lot more accomplished.” It looks like they are planning ahead for the 2014 elections.
HHS Resurrects ‘ACORN’ Through ObamaCare
“ObamaCare provides millions of dollars in grants to hire community activists and others as “navigators” to assist individuals enroll in health insurance provided by state or federal exchanges and, according to recent reports, register people to vote.
In a new rule proposed Wednesday, HHS lays out numerous guidelines for these “navigators”, including paying them up to $48/hour for their work. The rule, guidelines and voter registration effort are a potential vehicle to resurrect ACORN or an ACORN-like entity.”
“Ron Pollack, head of Families USA, has said their effort will be run like a “political campaign.”

KY Mom, many thanks for putting up that link (LDS)a few threads back. Pulled the pin on a few cases of the red wheat.
PO’d Patriot,
You are welcome! I’m glad to help!
KY Mom
I live about 45 minutes from an LDS cannery. I just got almost $250 in #10 cans of various stuff—it took a trunk and a full back seat to get it all home.
24-#10s, 4-25lb bags and two banana boxes of 2 lb bags for less than $250…oxygen absorbers and all.
Those “facilitators” had best navigate away from my little spot on earth…bassturds…grrrrr! 🙁
Only 129 million adults voted in the last election. That number includes the multiple votes from O’Bummer supporters and the voting dead in Chicago.
There are more than 100 million American gun owners in this nation. They hold the future of America in their hands. Organize, communicate, volunteer, donate, and vote for true Patriots for office. All politics are local. Make very ballot count. Then reload. Read Washington’s Vision at SHTF Patriots.
Engage your employees or be enslaved by them. NOMI
Yes kick it out the mexicans . Pay american slobbos twice as much to do half the work .
I really really want to see the faces when hamburg is 18.00 dollars a pound , lettuce is 5.00 etc etc. When the average grocery bill is 2000 a month for a family . Should be comedy gold.
First of all, your facts are way off base. They don’t use illegal aliens to pick lettuce. Most corporate farms use migrant workers that are here legally just for the purpose of seasonal work. Dole for instance pays their harvesters almost $9 an hour. But to make a point, lets say they are all illegal and only make $3 an hour ( which is not true, but hell, I’m trying to make a point). The typical laborer will pick about 450 heads of lettuce per hour. That means .6 cents labor cost per head. Lets pay an evil American $18 per hour, 8x as much. That would add an additional .48 cents per head, which is currently about $2. So that ends up not being 5 bucks per head, but ~ $2.50 per head.
So now lets look at what an illegal alien can end up costing us per hour of work to save ~ .50 cents a head of lettuce:
2 kids ( that’s being conservative) in public school, at an average cost of $10,500 per kid per year, or $21,000 total. That’s $10 per hour salary
Estimated annual health care, housing, foodstamp and welfare cost of $50 billion per year ( being real conservative with that number) , with an estimated 12 million illegals, that’s about $4,166 per illegal. Family of 3 with that lettuce picking illegal “mexican”, as you put it, means $12,498 per year. That’s a $6 hour salary.
So that means to keep our $2.00 a head of lettuce we are subsidizing the $3.00 an hour illegal “mexican” an additional $16 an hour, in essence paying him $18 an hour.
There are plenty of Americans hurting financially that will pick lettuce for $18 an hour.
Whoops, should have been family of 4, so add another $2 per hour to his subsidy. That means $20 an hour to pick lettuce.
Damn, I really need to read my post before posting, $18 an hour is 6x $3 an hour. So it’s to save .36 cents a head. Well , you get my point.
Bill J: I don’t think your numbers are anywhere near accurate but I am not going to quibble about that as I understand the point you are trying to make about costs.
The costs for an Illegal are much, much, higher.
The point I want to quibble about is the idea that these pickers are “migrants” or seasonal personnel here legally. Not so in most cases. The reason? Farmers and ranchers are responsible by law for providing housing, facilities, and medical care for “migrants” here legally who they must “sponsor” for the “migrant” to get the visa.
The whole point for AG business is to lower their costs, which is why they support and hire Illegals via the US Chamber of Commerce. Look to the individuals and groups that “champion” the “rights” of Illegals and you will find the individuals and groups that exploit them the most.
Where have you seen a Mexican family of four? Most I see are closer to 14.
If companies couldn’t hire illegals, USA would be like Japan and develop machines to do these things. People would have to learn to build and repair the machines. Contrary to popular belief, illegals doing things like roofing, etc are not doing it for $3/hr. They can undercut American workers because of the huge burden of taxes, fees, regulations, etc. The illegals are paid as subcontractors, and they pay none of these things. Frank’s roofing can send out all the 1099s it wants, but Pablo just evaporates at tax time and uses a different TIN, just as he evaporates when sent a hospital bill. .gov knows this is going on, and makes no effort to stop it. One can reach no conclusion other than that .gov WANTS the illegals here. They will not leave until driven out, which will not happen as long as most umurkins can still pay their smart phone bill.
……while I am practically begging to get work as a nurse. No one in our area is really hiring for any type of job….they can’t afford any more employees. I’ve even offered to work lower number of hours so as to not qualify for “benefits”.
I don’t disagree with your point, but strongly disagree with your rational that plenty of Americans want to pick lettuce, that has been proven false in California in which a large farm offered to hire any White individual to take place of a Migrant worker. Two asked for a job a one quit. It’s very hard work.
Remember what happened in Alabama when all those crops couldn’t be harvested because they scared all of the Migrant workers away.
You may not know, but hamburger in Alaska is already $10 per pound for the 80% lean. It IS already unbelievable.
Roseman91; I agree Illegal is Illegal, no matter how you spin it.
You’re making the mistake of treating the symptom while leaving the disease unchecked. The reasons Mexicans bother coming here at all is because even the work available to them at below minimum wage is better than what they get back home, and they can also get certain welfare benefits just by being here. Abolish the minimum wage and welfare benefits, and the Mexicans will pretty much go home and stay there.
As it is, even with all the wasteful spending, the government teat is drying up now, and a lot of them are already leaving of their own accord. If we were to get rid of all government price controls and subsidies, our unemployment would vanish overnight, young Americans would have all the menial jobs currently filled by illegals, and the number of illegals in this country would be so piddling that we would hardly need any border enforcement.
When your government goes leaving honey out to draw flies, the solution to your fly problem is not to pour vinegar into the honey or get yourself a bug zapper, but rather to dump your government and seal up the honey. Knock out the incentives for illegal immigration, and you’ll have no more trouble with illegal immigrants.
Too many companies got greedy and found out they could send jobs overseas and get products produced for pennies. Those workers don’t want expensive benefits either. I also blame the unions that make crazy demands because they add to the problem. Our government could do more to help keep jobs here but they are too worried about pushing the NWO and grabbing guns.
Really, its too late for asking why and time to start preparing to go forward in this new jacked up world. Grateful for what GOD gave me and probably never will be rich. Glad I can pay my bills and work a stressful job like the rest of America.
I would love to blame this all on the libs but truthfully; Bush and the repubs did a lot to expand government during his terms. I listened to a Alex Jones broadcast today from 2005 and heard a lot of the same stuff then being spoken about Bush. Doesn’t matter which head is on the snake; the body is the same.
GOD bless, get you some bullets!!!
Perfect example is Chrysler. The government basically gave it to the Italians. Now their auto industry is failing and living off the expanding profits Chrysler has recently seen. Its sad that we gave away an American auto brand when there are only a couple left. Its almost impossible to buy American anymore. Never bought a jap ride and don’t ever plan too. I did just buy 2 new Chrysler products and spent over 75k but I figure Ram and Dodge are a good median. Hope people will try harder to support America because we need it. TGIF I’m out of here!!!
IC
yup only parts arer built somewhere else,,shipped here to the usa so you keep on buying american made,,right
snake
70% of GM cars are built outside North America. One problem I have with the “buy American” thing is that it often translates to “buy UAW”.
Indy–You are wrong about Bush. He IS a leftist. Nothing conservative about “compassionate conservatism”.
1976 Lima Agreement, did the US sign? This exports manufacturing jobs offshore. Most western powers signed it.
That “Giant Sucking Sound” quote we were warned about comes to mind.
What happened? That’s easy. The EPA, eco terrorists, shaping of public opinion with mass media, communists, unions.
The U.S. USED to manufacture goods. We used to build ships, planes, heavy equipment, textiles, etc. Most if not all of these industries moved overseas because of draconian environmental laws, high cost of labor (unions), “free trade” agreements and the bottom line to stock holders.
All we manufacture now is ideas and R&D of technology, but even that is being exported out now.
Until the EPA is told to SHUT UP AND SIT, stock holders get a conscience, politicians are held accountable, unions quit gouging the companies, and communists tried and executed, we will continue to see the decline and decay of this country.
We DO still manufacture goods. Boeing is still the world leader in commercial aircraft. Lockheed-Martin for military aircraft. Heavy equipment? Caterpillar and John Deere to name just a couple. Medical equipment. Oilfield equipment. Gas pipeline equipment. Gas turbines for power generation. Automobiles. Heavy and light trucks. Hydraulic components. Robots. Factory material handling machinery. Air conditioning. Food processing equipment. I can go on and on. How do I know? These were all customers of my employer, a manufacturer of testing machines used in manufacturing. And you know what? That company has had record sales years one after another since I retired in 2009. The meme that we don’t make anything anymore is bullshit. I know. I was there. We don’t make consumer crap that’s sold at WalMart because you, the American consumer, won’t pay for quality goods. You want cheap plastic junk, and that has to be made overseas. Take an example – can openers. You can pay $16 for a Swingaway, which will work perfectly for a lifetime, but can you find one to buy? Nope, because you sheeple want to pay $4.95, and for that all you can get is a junk Chinese copy that breaks down after half a dozen cans.

Coach – your post is spot on.
Unknown Suspect – the idea that union wages are the reason jobs were shipped overseas is a joke. First let me say there is a huge difference between public union employees and private union employees. Your referring to private unions. Those unions have been around since the industrial revolution, when everything was made here. Those compnaies prospered and everyone made money (employees too). My point is, that if it was a union issue that was pushing companies to go overseas don’t you think the companies or other compnaies here would just use non-union labor. They don’t because of the reason Old Coach said above.
I think by saying its the unions fault is just continuing the class on class warfare that the PTP started.
You must be a union member to throw down and defend them. Back in the 1920’s and 30’s, unions were good. They changed deplorable conditions at the workplace. But as time has gone on, they became greedy. Why is it most states are not right to work states? Why are people FORCED to join a union on condition of employment? I lost out on several opportunities for employment because I refused to shell out my hard earned dollars to a union that did not believe in the same ideals that I hold dear. Why pay dues to a union that stuffs my dues into the pockets of politicians that want to legislate my rights away?
If you are a member of a union that is shoveling money into the communists pockets to fund their mission to destroy this country, you have nothing to say. You are part of the problem.
Unions are commie organizations. I believe people should be able to negotiate their own wages.
Basically, most people want to make $20 per hour but only pay $1 an hour for products. They won’t pay $20 for a hand-crocheted doily, but they’ll pay 79 cents for one made by Chinese slave labor.
This is correct, at least in part. Quality products, when available, will last a long time and are often made in the USA. Please note, however: 1)They are often no longer available, and 2) with the wages currently paid, and the demand for consumer goods, the ‘sheeple’ need to buy cheap stuff and HOPE it lasts because we have such few resources. As a missionary (yes, here in America) my monthly ‘income’ is less than 1K. I could be on the gov ‘dole,’ but refuse as I despise the intrusive questions, etc.
Since you had such a good job, at least a better paying one, you could afford to buy better quality. I am unable to do that; I buy what I can afford and pray it holds together, then fix it, repair it, and replace it (yard sale maybe) in a few months. Yes, I do live from paycheck to paycheck, with no health ins. for years – NONE; have no life ins. – can’t afford the payments. Do I like it? Love the work; despise the financial conditions.
I stand right beside you Son of Liberty . Monthly check . Yard sales and thrift stores are where I turn first these days . At 56 and disabled, my preps are coming in one month increments, but they are piling up . I know I will at least be fed and watered .

In a profit-driven government takeover, the tree-huggers have their place. At least they were trying to preserve OUR RESOURCES FOR US.
What bothers me about those tree-huggers, is that they raised all kinds of hell when we were logging American trees for American building, but now we log American trees for CHINA and other countries needs…and not a peep out of them over it.
Granted, the government federal crackdown on eco-terrorists with decades in prison for things like freeing test animals from torture, but you’d think they’d still raise their voices about it…although they could burn a few trucks and GMO frankenfields.
Now, we drain our own limited fresh water supply and ship it over to CHINA as well…lots of it. Millions of gallons at a time.
If we are going to deplete our resources, we should be using OUR RESOURCES OVER HERE! With American labor and American wages, for American consumption. Not pacifying some little dick-tater overseas who already destroyed their country with their greed.

Why work a $10.00 job when welfare equals a $20.00 hour job when you add all the benefits up?
The takers have won because they vote.
I’m curious to see how many thumbs you get either way.
I once postulated that I think there should be an ammendment to the US Const regarding no representation without taxation.
In other words, you dont pay taxes you dont vote. It’s apparently a thumbs down issue with the people here.
No, I totally agree. If you have no skin in the game, you don’t vote.
Now that would change a few things, wouldn’t it?
Yeah, like getting foreign interests out of our politics.
It used to the that way. You owned land, you were allowed to vote. You had a dog in the fight and you wanted to make sure your vote counted to where your tax dollars went.
…and that was the way the founders set it up but that got changed because the whiners said it wasnt fair…now the whiners have it their way…where is the fairness in that…goofy world!
Actually that used to be true, but poll taxes were declared unconstitutional in the ’60s. It’s been downhill ever since.
Red leader; That is the point I have been making here for some time. WE have received the government that WE elected. If WE think WE deserve a better government than WE have, WE should be engaging OUR employees at every level.
The Tea Party Movement represents ONE way Americans can take back their country: by infiltrating and taking back the Republican Party from the Globalists who have co-opted it.
GOOOH is another.
Get involved where you are at. Add your name, address, and phone number to their list of supporters. Add your voice AND your participation. Multiply YOUR power as Acorn has done. They squeaky wheel gets the grease. The Silent Majority gets FUCKED!
Engage. Let your Barnhardt out!
Instead of taxation without representation, USA now has representation without taxation. Nobody getting government handouts, including SS, should have a say in my level of taxation.
If you paid into SS, you should be able to vote. However, SS is being handed out like pez these days. You could be 68 and swim across the river and apply for SS the next day. My take on SS- you didn’t pay into it, you don’t get it. I could give two shits if you have a bad . No pay, no play.
Bob- what about folks who Paid
into SS & died before they Received
Their return?
Welfare doesn’t equal anywhere near $20 an hour wage. @ $800 mo. on average, that’s $26.666 PER DAY, not per hourly wage, and yes, there are some families who get more than that, but that is not the average norm. Unless there is fraud involved, which is a smaller percentage than people with views like your to admit, about $800 a month is about it. When is the last time you saw rent for anything less than $500 a month? I bet you think ‘they’ get special utility rates too, to go along with the free phone, car and stuff.
Yeah, there a people gaming the system for all they can get, but most people are not. In case you haven’t noticed, there are more people hurting in this country than there used to be.
50 white men with baseball bats in each state could change this nation.
I’d start with the foreign cars.
If you have one…they fuck up your car.
If you get it fixed or buy another one…they fuck you up.
BUY AMERICAN OR ELSE!
TRAITORS!
THE NEW WAY TO LOOK AT PEOPLE TO BUY FOREIGN SHIT.
fubar them up.
So I guess EVERYTHING in Walmart is off limits
…and personal computers
I live in a stand your ground state . I pity the fools that want too smash my car up , cause I stopped buying american crapmobiles in the 90’s. I ain’t gonna buy another new car ever ,will make these last for another combined 800000 miles. )
If you stopped in the ’90s, you’ve missed the boat. Average, AVERAGE mind you, service life of a Ford Triton V8 is 250,000 miles. Ditto the GM smallblock. My 2000 Ford E150 van is 13 years old and has no rust. That’s ZERO rust. Worst problem with the body is dents from hitting deer. Trans has been rebuilt once because I damaged an external line to the tow-package oil cooler while “off-road” in West Virginia one weekend, and the fluid all drained away without my knowing it.
Buy American again. You won’t be disappointed, unless you get stupid and buy a Volt.
Point of fact: American brands have less body rust trouble than Japanese brands these days.
I have a Ford Ranger over 20 years old. Other than the clear top coat peeling, it looks pretty good and drives like new. And I haven’t seen any rust.
Coach, while I buy American in every other possible way, back in 1980 I bought a BMW 528i for $28,000. It’s still sitting in my driveway, and has well over a million miles on it, and it hasn’t even cost me an arm and a leg to keep it going. So while I generally agree with you, I’m glad I bought that darned BMW, ha.
That Triton is one of the worst pieces of crap I’ve ever seen. Sure, they have power that rivals mopar, BUT there is an inherent engineering issue with them somewhere in the heads, where they routinely throw a spark plug under higher stress. I’ve blown a plug 4 times total in 2 separate Tritons. Tapping out the plug bore and putting a coil in it only helps for a minute. It’s always the same plug too. Worst work truck I ever drove.
I went back to Chevy country, where on a quiet night, you can hear Ford’s rust…
What’s a foriegn car? There are more Hondas, Subarus, Toyotas, Nissans, BMWs, Mercedes Benz, Kia and Hyundais built in the US than Ford, Chevy and Chrysler.
And usually with better warranties, cheaper price and superior quality. Built by Americans. ( mostly non-union)
What is a Foriegn Car??
Furthermore most “American” vehicles consist of components made in Mexico or China.
The vehicles that are the “most American” are the Ford Sport Trak with 90% of its components made in the US, the Ford Explorer, with 85% of its parts manufactured in the US, assorted Dodges from 82-84% US parts, VW ROutan at 82% and the Toyota Camry,Tundra, and Sequoia with 80% of its parts manufactured in the US.
As far as assembling the vehicle, the Ford Escape creates 13 jobs per hundred units sold, but the Camry beats it for creating jobs, at 20 per 100 units sold.
But if you buy a foreign auto where do you think the profits go? Just cause they are assembled here doesn’t mean it would stimulate our economy better than buying American.
They’re selling baseball bats cheap at Walmart. Oh, wait…
I think we are about to get the opportunity to build our own goods, but not in the way you are thinking….
I built my computer.
If it wasn’t for poverty, I’d have no status at all
JASPak,
When was the last time you tried to open a bussiness?
It’s crazy what a small, medium, or large company has to go thru to keep the
Government happy, much less their customers and employees.
Its hard to ” buy American” when the better part of 70,000 American factories have been encourage to relocate off shore by legislation passed by OUR FUCKING employees!
(And Bush) 🙂
11: what happened is “rubber stamp divorce”. Incentified by a gift of 50% or greater of all joint (aka male) assets.
It’s like winning the lottery for cheating. Awesome.
So tell me, why is it that welfare is considered to be a “minimum acceptable standard of living”… and yet old one-leg there got half of Paul McCartny’s shit when she basically quit her job? She can’t live on less??? She “earned” it????
Dude. Can I marry him????
Exactly.
Poverty sucks, but having spent some time in third-world countries poverty does not have to mean misery. It is on the increase here as everywhere, but I have at times lived quite well at the poverty level.
Poverty means free housing, free food, free medical care, free internet and cell phone, a HEAP energy allowance. The bread lines of The Great Depression have been replaced with EBT cards.
When it all collapses and most people are equally poor it will not be as big a deal as it is tomorrow. Live in a paid-off house even if it’s a thirty year-old trailer on an acre of ground you own. Drive an old car that is paid for so the only expense you have is food and utilities then work on minimizing those.
Poverty in America is wealth in many places in the world. Sadly, children are the victims of drug abuse and other bad parenting. I wish the statistics had more information on children. E.g. rise in child abuse. E.g. # kids who are in constant hunger and number who are chronically hungry and number who are often hungry. Left at home alone for more than 3 hours regularly. Etc. Our county health department had a study showing that a few years back. Its terrifying.
BigB: great point on empty houses. Its actually like 20M I’ll bet if you include 2nd homes, investment homes, home vacant but not for sale, etc. I haven’t looked up the true number in a few years but it was around 20M back in 2008.
The real question is…..would we have anyone in this country of plenty starving,if we stopped giving money to countries that hate our guts…
How much did the planes that we gave to Egypt ( Muslim brotherhood ) cost?not to mention the millions in cash! Our money….how bout the money for the study of duck dicks?
Unreal
fed up,,,,, now that last one is very important,,without those DDS we will have no more ducks dont ya know,,dont forget the 100mil for another brain study,,
snake
Most child hunger in USA is because the “parent” used what resources were available to pay their phone bill.
I once had a tenant bitch at me about the trash in the yard. I replied “Damn those white people from the suburbs driving over her to throw out their garbage”
“Poverty means free housing, free food, free medical care, free internet and cell phone, a HEAP energy allowance”
There are a million homeless families that will sleep better in their cars and tents knowing that…While most people think the freebies spread around everyone, they do not.
There is a 7 yr waiting list for limited number of housing units in subsidized housing.
You can get a lower phone rate, but not a totally free one.
“Free internet” means using the computer or wifi at the library or at a business who offers it for free to customers.
There is no such thing as “free” anymore. Someone pays.
Todays job numbers has finaly turned the numbers around. Whatever they say about unemployment being 6.7 % the fact of the matter is that only 63& of the eligible work force is actualy employed. I don’t know about any one else but that tells me the true number for unemployment is 37 % ! Good God! That is not good.
There are millions of homes sitting vacant with no plans by HUD to put them on the market. There are only what, 360 million people in the United States. At a 4.1 per person average family in America that means there should be 8.7 million homes in America. Do the math, the housing crisis is never going to be resolved.
Poverty line? How do you really judge what is poverty. What is living in poverty in the United States is far removed from the poverty level in say Mexico or any other third world country. How many of them have EBT cards, cell phones, subsidized housing and the list goes on?
If you were to confiscate every penny from every savings and checking account in the U.S. at this exact moment you could not pay off the national debt. Yet in order to hide your money you are forced in the stock market and they speculate about confiscating that down the line.
We are now moving from a socialist state into a communist state. This must be stopped or we are doomed. Problem being that we are to far into this to stop at this point. We must have a re-set if we expect to continue as a nation.
BigB
You could if you confiscate all the retirement accounts (19 trillion) and they are thinking about that as we speak.
BTW, America’s current debt far exceeds 19 trillion dollars. But that wont stop them from stealing people’s money.
There are millions of homes sitting vacant with no plans by HUD to put them on the market. There are only what, 360 million people in the United States. At a 4.1 per person average family in America that means there should be 8.7 million homes in America
{{How about 320,000,000 in America with 4 per person household for 80 million homes.}}

you are so wrong!!!!!the economy has turned around and moving forwaRD in leaps and bounds,,stock market thru the roof,,gold beyon my reach,,gas hAS COME DOWN 3 CENT AFTER going up 40 cent,,yup things are booming,,,upstate south carolina getting 140 new jobs,,yup,,oh but not untill 2030,,,we are moving,,now i`m getting my info from CBS,,,,,,hahahahahahahahahahahaha

I can remember when creating 140 jobs would at best merit a tiny blurb in the local paper. Now it’s national news.
I know snake eater. It just sounded so damn melodramatic when I wrote it I believed it myself. 🙂

Hey folks. A while back Be Informed asked all of us to keep our heads to the ground and alert the group if we hear of anything alarming.
For OPSEC purposes I apologize for being vague, but a source that I trust without question told me that a guard unit was gone for training for a month. During the first week five guardsmen “committed suicide”.
This struck me as such an event as what BI was talking about. I have a hard time believing five people committed suicide. I don’t know any more at this moment but why would these five people be taken out? Maybe they did just commit suicide in an extreme coincidence? Maybe they weren’t prepared to follow orders?
Thought it was worth mentioning.
God Bless,
NP
Is this the same guard unit that is under investigation for gun running, drug dealing, on the job rape and a chief of staff that’s under investigation in his part of a 20 million dollar embezzlement case?
Well, I wish I found it hard to believe that 5 guardsmen all committed suicide while on training. Morale in the service is the lowest I’ve ever seen it right now. It seems everyday we’ve got someone who seemed completely solid go on suicide watch, and many more soldiers now die at their own hand than die in combat.
You mean like all those people on the verge of getting rcp ‘ed out cause they can’t get promoted ?
NP, respectfully, unless you can provide sources, this type of thing doesn’t help. “A friend who knows something told me….” just isn’t reliable.
Down-thumb me all you want but I am right about this.
If I said the unit it would reveal more than I can say without giving up critical information I cannot let public so please choose to not believe my post.
NP
PS Barlow, I would agree with you if situations were reversed. Vague information is what it is.
I don’t blame you.
I hate to say it, but playing the lottery seems to be the only chance of acheiving any kind of wealth in these awful times. With the little amount of money that I make, I try to spend wisely only on things that I need. It seems that even with all of the hard work and effort that I am still behind the eight ball.
There is still a great sense of pride left within me knowing that I do not have to depend on the gov for my next check or meal; for me that is a wealth all its own.
I never played the lottery until recently, now it’s cheaper to spend a $1 on that than buy a soda pop that isn’t good for me anyway.
I am waiting for Publishers Clearing House to give me my $1,000,000 plus $5,000 per week for life. I am sending in entries almost every week.
“Maybe they weren’t prepared to follow orders?”….hmmmmm
Blessings to their families.
I think maybe they we told what’s coming, and couldn’t cope with the reality of it…
Articles like this one among many like them on this site I have been reading over the last few months here have made me wake up and realize things will not be getting better until things get a lot worse. I think I’m somewhere between a chicken little (sky is falling)and the Ostritch with his head in the sand. I have been prepping as hard as possible on a fixed income without letting it consume my whole life. Beans and rice 50lbs each less than $60 total, extra can goods everytime I go shopping sprung for an AA-930 pressure canner (expensive), to be able to can low acid veg.’s and meats things I haven’t been able to do with my Ball water bath canner. Found Daiseys site thru this site it’s a good one for what I’m doing. Hopefully theres a little time for more prepping, knowing it will be for the rest of my life. Being prepared should be a required subject in schools from k-1thru 12th.But that would be against our Gov.s plan for everyone to depend on and slave for. Thank’s everyone for the wake up call and info. I have got thru following this site.
I’ve had good success scoring both pressure cookers and canning Jars by posting a free WANTED ad on my local Freecycle group. I’ve also gotten treadmills (for the 12 volt motor/generator), gardening tools, a set of pull-down steps for my cabin loft, and lots of other stuff that will be useful.
Not sure if we have a freecycle group around here, seems every empty parking lot and even on the sides of roads are full of people selling mostly junk to make a few
bucks. Forget canning supplys sometimes hard to find even in the stores this time of year. Not sure what your talking about with the treadmill 12volt motor/generator??
Perhaps this is true in an area that has already went to hell. I would take that as a sign to move. You can find your nearest group at http://www.freecycle.org/. It is important to continue posting ads for the things you are seeking because those people are probably beating others to stuff posted on Freecycle and selling it. In some areas Craigslist has a section of free stuff too so check there.
Canning supplies are not available in stores right now because few people are seeking them. That means it is the best time to get some for free because some people are deciding now they are not going to bother with a garden this year.
Many treadmills have 12 volt permanent motors than can be used as generators. Connect them to a bicycle or wind mill and with the right gearing you can charge 12 volt batteries (or rechargeable AA AAA C D with a car charger).
Thanks GG, no freecycle nearby, will ck cr-list. The big stores sell out there canning supplies in the spring time because more people are doing it here, more will get ordered but will be later before there in stock. Thanks for the info. on the treadmill.
I check every day– Craigslist in our area never has mason jars.
Good luck.
My oldest daughter volunteers at a thrift store. They get an unbelievable number of jars donated and they sell them for 25 cents apiece.
She said often someone will back up a minivan or truck and have the entire back filled with jars that they’ve just emptied out of someone’s attic or basement, after the person had passed away. The family just doesn’t see the value in them, but it’s our gain.
Anytime I need jars I hit a thrift shop, fill up the back of my SUV, and leave plenty of jars still on the shelf – it’s a great source!
Wish I could find them for that price. Our thrift store sells them for $1 each. Can buy new ones cheaper than that when they can be found
Maybe it depends on what an area is transforming from to what it is becoming. The majority of people in my rural area have always canned, but our aging population means less people a lot of those elderly are stopping. Closer to larger cities we may be seeing more people starting for the first time in an area where few older folks had been canning previously.
Yeah, well we know what other stuff people in WV do too….
I live in the Permian Basin of West TX. We are in the midst of an oil boom like I would have never have imagined! Every business has a “Now Hiring” sign outside. McD’s is advertising new hires for $8.50 to $14.00/hr. There are no available apartments, houses, even mobile homes. In fact, people with a few acres are renting space to folks for travel trailers…at anywhere from $300 to $500 per space! A friend was renting a 3 bedroom house for $1,300/mo. THe landlord called and told him the rent was going up to $3,500/mo!!! THen changed his mind and told him to move out so it could be put up for sale. Just too much of a seller’s market!!!
Another friend is a banker. He moved here from a mid-western state because this was the only place he could find a job. But…he works in a local supermarket on weekends because the cost of living here is so high, he can’t make ends meet otherwise.
We have a AA baseball team here. Very well supported by the community. But the players are having a hard time finding housing, so an appeal went out to season ticket holders, and a good number of the players will be staying with some of the good fans in the community.
I’ve seen license tags from just about every state in the union. Pipe yards, trucking companies, oilfield service companies, etc. are popping up everywhere there is an open field big enough. Traffic is a nightmare, and we are now averaging a traffic-accident death about every 6 days. Unheard of here.
The growing poverty in other parts of the country are hard to grasp, considering the “gold-rush” mentality we are seeing here. The contrast is hard to imagine.
Out of curiosity, which communities are you talking about? I drive through there often, and don’t see it. Maybe just going through the wrong towns?
Midland/Odessa. Spreading to all the area towns – Little Big Lake, south of here by about 80 miles, just announced it has the lowest unemployment rate of any town in TX! It is absolutely crazy around here.
(Sorry for the delay in answering – went to the dentist to get some work done before tshtf!)
I grew up being told if you don’t work you don’t eat. I think you can’t say that anymore – not politically correct.
More people added to disability program under Obama than to the labor force.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/richardfinger/2013/01/14/fraud-and-disability-equal-a-multibillion-dollar-balck-hole-for-taxpayers/
The current labor participation rate is that of 1979 – I hope like hell we don’t have to listen to the Bee Gees with this.
If were talking about the economy let’s go with AC/DC Highway to Hell, Molly Hatchet Flirtin with disaster for Ben Bernanke – and for me I think a head start with ZZ Top and Cheap Sun Glasses – we gonna need em – add them to the preps
My mom is almost 70. Disabled in the sense she can barely walk from 40 years of being a floor nurse. (no knee internals basically. Been told she needs both replace.) So? She works full-time to help pay for my sister and her 3 kids because my sister’s POS ex took her to court etc to not have to pay etc.
About 20 years ago she got really mad at me for taking unemployment. Even though my company had already paid in $14K for the several employees I had that year. Being older, I start to understand why.
In contrast, I renovated a house in the “bad part of town”. Holy heck. Almost everyone there was on SSI or SSD or whatever you call it. Evena strapping 14 year old was being told by his parents he had some behavioural disorder and being trained to get on SSD. Guy across the street had diabetes. The mom was deaf but had 4 kids. Had free service where one could call and they would teletype it to her.
They all wanted SSI ijnstead of Welfare because SSI writes the check to the person whereas Welfare writes 80% to the landlord. With SSI they could string out the landlord for a few months until they got evicted and keep the money to themselves. What I learned is these lowlifes knew how to work the system and had ZERO reservations about lieing and not paying their bills. They knew to ignore the city police and disappear when the county police drove through. They knew only a bank debt really needs to be paid. They knew prostitutes can’t get welfare. And lots of other stuff I never bothered to pick up from them. It was pretty bad. Sad part was only a few of them were willing to work even though I paid at the end of a few hours and was over there at least 20-30 times renovating the house. Like my grandfather said, “Tell them what to do. Then drive around the block. When you get back around most of them will be sitting on a stump. Keep the ones who aren’t.”
HERE’S A NIFTY IDEA…
Get a paper log roller.
Then go on line and fill out all sorts of info. so they send truckloads
to your mail box.
then fire up the log roller…
paper + wood stove = free heat.
Fuck all you environmentalists.
Here’s one tip I have not yet shared with anyone. At certain times of the year when phone books are dropped off, many communities have roll off boxes to collect and recycle the old ones. Tons and tons (literally) of free fuel.
The local grocery store gives me the leftover fliers that they would generally have to pay to have recycled – I just have to go pick them up once a week.
Please elaborate on the log-roller…..we have a wood stove. I’m curious as to how you do this.
It’s just so easy–I take page by page and not the acrylic-type pages, and overlap two pages.
Start rolling your PVC pipe(your choice the size)and before that strip is finished, add another strip or two; continue till you get the desired size.
I used a piece of packaging tape to secure the roll and stacked them in totes.
My pvc was about 2 1/2 inches, so mine are big rolls, and thick.
My paper log roller is a PVC pipe; I have about 15 logs rolled and have a tote of newspapers ready for rolling.
Store them in totes when rolled.
Now wait a minute – I really liked the BeeGees!! Some pretty good dance music. I just can’t move like I used to!! lol
Elton John was right–“Times are changin’, now the poor get fat…”
Why are things looking grim? I agree they are and will only be getting worse…WORLDWIDE. The world has reached the end of cheap oil. This “waste based” economic model the global system runs on is “out of gas”. The monetary set up being used depends on infinite growth to pay for the compound usury fees. The trouble is, we live on a finite planet. Exponential growth has run it’s course. When the political grifters and fraudulent bankers have squeezed the last ounce of tribute from the common man it will collapse into a smoking ruin. Hang some bankers and tar and feather the grifters.
JRS: I agree. In principle. But once you hang some bankers and grifters, you “hoist the black flag and start slitting throats”, where do you end? Who among those at fault will be found good enough to forgive? We all are trying to do as well as we can with what he have. I have come to the conclusion that the bad actors in our system are relatively very few. Everyone else just does the best they can for their families in a corrupt financial and political system, without a thought for what the end result will be. We’ve screwed ourselves. The truth is, almost everyone, and from every political persuasion, has had a hand in screwing ourselves and our children… My parents robbed from my generation, and my generation stole from my children, and on and on it goes until despair sets in and we start looking for scapegoats to hang.
I’ve been trying to think of a single family I know that doesn’t ‘receive’ a check from the government. I am still thinking…..
Iowa Legislature outawed releasing cc permits recently, taking effect in June.

Off topic, but according to the tracking website Lady recommended under the article about N. Korea’s potential EMP attack.. their satellite will be dead nuts above Kansas at 23:05 tonight.
I was just tracking the satellite and it is not going to be above our airspace until april 10 when it is over the eastern seaboard and everyday after its orbit brings it more centered over America. Its orbiting around 330 miles up.
April 10 also coincides with NK declaration to embassies stating they cannot guarantee their safety any longer and urges all foreign diplomats to leave by then.
Scratch my last comment. The website I was tracking from doesn’t work so well from my phone.
Try http: //n2yo ( dot ) com/satellite/?s=39026 That’s the site Lady recommended. Don’t know if it’s accurate or not, but it says it’ll be dead over Kansas at 23:05 tonight. It’s a fast moving little bugger too.. seems to make several passes per day..
So after tonight, when is the next orbit over Kansas? I was thinking that Ap 10 deadline by NK was significant somehow.
There is a “prediction” button at the website where you can see the projected path for up to 5 days into the future.
I didn’t know satellites moved that fast. I was surprised by that. I was on that site from my phone but couldn’t get the live map working so I went to the predictions and that’s where I got april 10.
I then went on my pc and was able to track it live and was astonished how fast it was going and how many times it passes in a day.
Another article highlighting the blight of collapse. Don’t have to convince me industrial civilization is going to hell in a hand-bag and that the population bubble is starting to pop. How do we get through it and keep some sort of humanity?
Look…. this country takes my pay in huge taxes…what I have left…when I buy shit..they tax me.
Then… they create all these social and educational programs for the minorities.
fine.
Then..they give them jobs.
They hired some black lady making five figures more than us.
We’ve all been there over 20 years.
The bitch could not do her job.
Finally she got fired.
I say… FUCK THE POOR.
GET THE FUCK OUT OF BED AND WORK…ANYTHING.
I’M TIRED OF WIPING YOUR ASSES.
IT’S TIME AMERICA BECAME HARD ASSES AGAIN.
THAT IS THE ONLY WAY WE WILL RESTORE OUR COUNTRY.

To oUCH is there any way we can talk the N.Koreans into nukeing the Rothchilds or the next Buildabergs meating.
my sentiments exactly.
It may be true that average Americans do not feel intimidated by the encroachment of the police state. Americans remain tolerant of what they see as mere nuisances because they have been deluded into believing total government supervision is necessary and helpful, and because they still enjoy a high level of material comfort. That tolerance may wane, however, as our standard of living falls due to spiraling debt, endless deficit spending at home and abroad, a declining fiat dollar, inflation, higher interest rates, and failing entitlement programs. At that point attitudes toward omnipotent government may change, but the trend toward authoritarianism will be difficult to reverse.
Those who believe a police state can’t happen here are poor students of history. Every government, democratic or not, is capable of tyranny. We must understand this if we hope to remain a free people.
What the hell is wrong with the people that are willing to live under a system of the sort that rules us?

“So what are all of you seeing in your own areas?” I see a lot of people spending a lot of money… on new cars, guns, new houses, eating at McDonalds, buying crap at Wal-Mart. I see a lot of people quitting their jobs to collect unemployment until it runs out then going back to work (lots of construction). I see people getting laid off when a turn around is complete only to be re-employed three days later earning $40-$60 hr. I see a lot of people getting out and pressure washing homes cheap, hauling scrap iron, mowing yards cheap, doing odd jobs here and there. I see a lot of people growing food in their own gardens… (big gardens; 25×30 ft all the way up to an acre)(mine is 1/2 acre). I see a lots of big pick-up trucks roaring up and down the road driven by gun toting red necks. I see deer hunters and fisher people going about there business as usual. I see a lot of homes that are paid off because the owners either built it themselves or contracted separate components of the building just so they would not become slaves to the bankers (I build my own home 20 years ago). I see a lot of independence and rugged individualism. Having said that, I also see people doing stupid things just like they do everywhere else, some are hungry and some are not. Whether or not their cash flow has changed is not very noticeable. I also live in one of those semi-red dot areas shown on a previous article but I suspect many of the shootings that were recorded therein were a result of some stupid gang banger getting his ass shot off for messing in the wrong neighborhood as I personally know of several armed robberies and daylight burglaries (within a mile radius of my home) that went seriously awry to the detriment of the gang banger. Just saying.
CRABBE
where in hell are you seeing all that at?????

Worth more than gold?
I don’t believe there is any shortage of oil worldwide. They are just holding it back to continue the extreme price gouging. The oil industry obviously controls our government and economy. Progress into alternative energy sources is thwarted by criminals at the top. There will be no recovery as long as fossil fuels control our future.

a better, more true picture of the employment rate
or should I say the unemployment rate ?
what amazes me is how many people still don’t get it
fact after fact
statistic after statistic
shows the DOWNWARD trend
and yet people still don’t realize
that things have changed
And
WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN
FI, you’re preaching to the choir here. DeOppressoLiber, I also grew up hearing, “If you don’t take your ass to work, then forget about eating.” This entitlement mentality everyone’s been brainwashed with is only one of many things bringing down this country. I think TSHTF sooner than everyone thinks. Everyone keep prepping. braveheart

I suspect someone here has already said this…but…
Seems to me THEIR plan is right on schedule…
ONLY A MAN
WOULD ATTEMPT THIS!
Just try reading this without laughing ’til you cry!!!
Pocket Tazer Stun Gun, a great gift for the wife.
A guy who purchased his lovely wife a pocket Tazer for their anniversary submitted this:
Last weekend I saw something at Larry ‘s Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest.
The occasion was our 15th anniversary and I was looking for a little something extra for my wife Julie .
What I came across was a 100,000-volt, pocket/purse-sized Tazer.
The effects of the Tazer were supposed to be short lived, with no long term adverse effect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to safety.
WAY TOO COOL! Long story short, I bought the device and brought it home. I loaded two AAA batteries in the darn thing and pushed the button.
Nothing!
I was disappointed.
I learned, however, that if I pushed the button and pressed it against a metal surface at the same time, I’d get the blue arc of electricity darting back and forth between the prongs.
AWESOME!!
Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to Julie what that burn spot is on the face of her microwave.
Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn’t be all that bad with only two AAA batteries, right?
There I sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently (trusting little soul), while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh and blood moving target.
I must admit I thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a second) and then thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat. But, if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger,
I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised.
Am I wrong?
So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my reading glasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, and Tazer in another.
The directions said that:
a one-second burst would shock and disorient your assailant;
a two-second burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and
a major loss of bodily control; and
a three-second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop
on the ground like a fish out of water.
Any burst longer than three seconds would be wasting the batteries.
All the while I’m looking at this little device measuring about 5″ long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference (loaded with two itsy, bitsy AAA batteries); pretty cute really, and thinking to myself, ‘no possible way!’
What happened next is almost beyond description, but I’ll do my best.
I’m sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to one side as if to say, ‘Don’t do it stupid,’ reasoning that a one second burst from such a tiny lil ole thing couldn’t hurt all that bad.
I decided to give myself a one second burst just for heck of it.
I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and…
(@#@!@$%&!*$ Unrepeatable!)
WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.
WHAT THE…!!!
I’m pretty sure Hulk Hogan ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, then body slammed us both on the carpet, over and over and over again.
I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the fetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples on fire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs!
The cat was making meowing sounds I had never heard before, clinging to a picture frame hanging above the fireplace, obviously in an attempt to avoid getting slammed by my body flopping all over the living room.
Note:
If you ever feel compelled to ‘mug’ yourself with a Tazer,
one note of caution:
There is NO such thing as a one second burst when you zap yourself!
You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your hand by a violent thrashing about on the floor!
A three second burst would be considered conservative!
A minute or so later (I can’t be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), I collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape.
•My bent reading glasses were on the mantel of the fireplace.
•The recliner was upside down and about 8 feet or so from where it originally was.
•My triceps, right thigh and both nipples were still twitching.
•My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain, and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs.
•I had no control over the drooling.
•Apparently I had crapped in my shorts, but was too numb to know for sure, and my sense of smell was gone.
•I saw a faint smoke cloud above my head, which I believe came from my hair.
I’m still looking for my testicles and I’m offering a significant reward for their safe return!
PS: My wife can’t stop laughing about my experience, loved the gift and now regularly threatens me with it!
If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!
We can all use a good laugh now and then.
Okie,
Seriously funny!!
Okiecowboy,
Holy shit, I can’t believe I’m the only one who has commented on this. I literally have tears streaming down my face. I had to stop reading because I was laughing so hard. Love it. Thanks, I needed a good laugh.
Still laughing – have a friend that I have to share this with. Thanks for giving us a little humor amid all the chaos and bad news

one of my favorite doomer porn books
The Jakarta Pandemic by Steven Konkoly
“Doomer Porn”. I like it. Is that actually a thing? Because it describes most of my personal library…
Satori,
Konkoly’s other book “Black Flagged” is also really good.
Off-Topic, New Solar Actvity,
At approximately 18:00 UTC a flare registering as magnitude M-2.2 was recorded by the GOES-15 monitors.
Per the EVE SAM, this activity occrred at a point on the eastern limb just above the solar equator correspong to the anticipated return of the NOAA 11692-95 spot regions previously in view some 3+ weeks ago…clearly the region has succeeded in remaining active during it’s sojourn across the solar backside.

I get email warnings from Australia, and they set it at M2.3. You can get on a mailing list at www(dot)ips(dot)gov(dot)au. They send a message when an event starts, sometimes an estimated end of event, then an end of event. I like the email warnings, so that if a large X class comes, I’ll have a chance to unplug a few things.
And then there is infanticide. Some on the far left are pushing for post birth abortions up to 3 years of age? I suggest that anyone on the far left should go for it up to any age that they desire. But just the left mind you. It would be a much better place, I assure you. Hell, I will even kick in some money for that! Make it a show on one of the government run networks. It would be a hit.
Keep your powder dry,

Life was good when we all were cowboys. Then they made us politically correct & turned us into fucking ballarenias. Time to goback to the old ways this new shit just isn’t working out
The P.C. crap would’nt work for me, still a cowboy ya’ll come on back. Cowboy life is a tuff live but it’s a damn good & honest life.
Not only is there a total lack of incentive, there is a lack of hope, for good reason. People see no progress being made at all in their lives, it is stagnant. They go out and WASTE money on entertainment and other mental stimulation, when they should be using what extra money they have to store up the basic needs for survival. It gives a really good sense of security to have supplies in the home, the feeling that if and when you need them you will not have to go out in a desperate frantic run, IF the supplies are even available.
People have been lulled into a state of blandness in thought, that even the notion of something occurring that WILL disrupt everything is just not possible because the state or local emergency management will take care of everything. Well, this is absurd, but when they listen to the mass media how safe everything is and how easily recoverable life is, well no incentive to store up anything.
What is so ridiculous is that people are not storing up basic needs if they lose their employment. I guess food stamps are better than being able to go into you garage and eat what you like that you put away when times were better. The 99% of the people have been put into a state of denial and are LOST. All the while this fat little porkchop is ready to go war, which IF it happens the world will see some of the worst biological pestilence that there is. That however will never happen in the land of denial, everything will remain the same and year after year and people will eventually go back to work and happy times will come back like when they were kids. Yeah right.
REPOST
Uh-Oh, JUST UP…
Over at BOTH Business Insider and the ‘Hedge it is being repoted that the US is moving B-1B ‘Bone’s’ into the AO of NK…that’s interesting. THIS is more than interesting…these are being accompanied by E-6 ‘Mercury’ command and control aircraft…these are the so-called ‘Doomsday’ planes which are capable of controlling ALL aspects of the US Military, SLBMS…everything in a terrestrial hemispere. THESE are not deployed for ‘shits-and-grins’ folks, they carry TOO much ultra-sensitive cryptological access to ever be inadvertantly placed in harms way…tain’t done…
The plot thickens…
JOG
And you actually think the “Hedge” and “Business insider” would have this info?
You perpetuate the problem and the fear mongering.
Ya mean all this credible info didn’t come from Alex Jones???
He must be slippin….
Or maybe the hedge has better “internal contacts”
Ya know… that guy who had a gf who had a friend who had an uncle that told them his friend at the FBI gave them this info yesterday…
i work as a cashier in a grocery store. I am on the front lines as far as seeing EBT. I can tell youmost of my customers about 90% pay with an EBT card. I can tell you that they are from ALL walks of life. I have people always asking of we are hiring because they have been out of work for soooo long they will take any position. We are not hiring. I am greatful I have a job everyday! I am not able to do the career thing at this time as I shose to raise my child and notleave my kid in day care so I chose to take a part time job at night. I see people that I can easily see that were office workers or perhaps some type of white collar worker that is now paying with EBT. Alot of construction worlers come in ans pay with EBT because there is just no work out there. Myself and a ear friendwere just talking about this because it is heart breaking to see sooo many people suffering finacially. You can see the stress and embaressment on thier faces when you ask how they will be paying. Most of the people that come through my line are not working the system as many think. Yes there are alot that do work the system we get our share but for the most part these people want work. It is sad and really heart breaking when you see the middle class people coming through that had a normal life just a year ago to paying with an ebt card. Really it is sad very very sad. I recently found out a “normal” woman that I knew is living in a storage unit and has her children staying with a freind. A very sad place our country is in….I pray all the time for some stabilty to return to the financial system.
when it all comes apart remember these two things….
the government security apparatus will collapse around the assets of the uber-wealthy and leave the rest of us to starve…
Dead people don’t loot or express their grievances.
The rich will always be the rich. Why do you think billionaires have been buying up ranchland in the redoubt? They know which way the wind is blowing. The federal agencies will become their personal police forces (even more than they already are.)
We are trying to stay ahead by moving into a cheaper house. It will save us $450 a month, some will be saved and some spent on preps. You better believe our money is not going in the bank. Silver or my underwear drawer is safer then a bank. I’m also looking for part-time work, just to hopefully keep up with inflation.
Time to arrest the Chocolate Messiah and put him in prison for High Treason !
