Celente on War
These people never get touched. Their kids never go anywhere. Here’s my thing. Anybody that wants to go to war to take out anybody – as I hear Hillary Clinton say, ‘take out Gaddafi’ – pack up your stuff and go fight. Send your kids, send your money, send yourself, or shut your mouth. If you’re going to play Commander in Chief, get out of the White House on to the white horse and lead the charge. I’m sick of these big mouth chicken hawks that’ve never fought a day in their lives – the Harvard, Princeton, Yale, bullets, banks and bombs club guys and girls – telling all of us what we need to do as they run the war from the safety of the Oval Office and the confines of their offices surrounded by a Phalanx of guards.
The reasons don’t matter. Whether military action or war is for a leader’s altruistic needs such as saving innocent people from the rule of a dictator, or regional control over resources like oil, gas and water, or spreading a political ideology and/or religion, or enriching a military industrial complex, the point is, that people die on the whims of those who have not the willpower, ability or courage to do it themselves.
It’s tragic for the many millions who have died in wars of empire over the past many centuries. Hasn’t it always been the case, though, that the elite send the poorest, most unsuspecting, and undereducated to war? The common folks are merely a means to an end.
Social Unrest in America
I see more crime happening in this country and social unrest at a much lower level. The people in this country don’t have what it takes…
In my book Trends 2000, which I wrote back in 1997, I was so optimistic about the future of this country and of the people making intelligent choices and moving forward in enlightened ways. And now I look around, and this isn’t a country of mommy’s boys, it’s a country of soccer mommy’s boys. We’re prescription drug addicted and we’re junk food fat.
What’s happened to this country. What happened to the dignity. Look at the way they dress. Look at the way they talk. Look how the nation’s become so Snookie-Stupid.
I just saw, recently, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, on The Daily Show talking about the crises going on in the middle east….I could never imagine during the Cuban Missile Crisis the Joint Chiefs of Staff yucking it up with Uncle Miltie.And here’s the Joint Chiefs of Staff saying how wonderful it was to be on the show with Justin Bieber… This is what this country’s come to.
It’s nothing more than the Presidential reality show.
…So, I don’t think social unrest in this country is going to happen because I don’t think the people have what it takes.
We’re somewhat surprised by these comments from Mr. Celente with regards to his views on social unrest, as he has forecast regularly in the past that social unrest will spread across the fifty states.
This most recent forecast from Gerald Celente is in stark contrast to what he said on June 27, 2009 and October 15, 2010:
2009:
We’re going to see food riots, tax protests, farmer rebellions, student revolts, squatter dig-ins, homeless uprising, tent cities, ghost malls, general strikes, boss nappings, kidnappings, mob rule and terror…
2010:
People are going to wait for the elections in November. They think they’re going to have some other change you can believe in. It won’t happen. When the economic winter sets in, then you’re going to start seeing people protesting more and more. No, this is just the beginning. The United States is slow on the draw when it comes to protesting.
But get ready for it. We see it happening in 2011 and 2012.
We agree with Mr. Celente with respect to the apathy that pervades modern day America. A movement for political change in the US will likely not lead to the kind of violence we’ve seen in the middle east. Protests like Wiscosin, yes. Violent rebellion like Libya? Not likely.
At least not yet.
The American people have been wound up, but not yet tight enough to spring into meaningful action. We can certainly see riots and violence come out of catalyzing issues mentioned in Celente’s 2009 forecast, which include food riots as more people lose their jobs, unemployment benefits and prices rise, as well as tax rebellions and poverty. For people in America to really get motivated it will require that they be taken to a breaking point, physically and/or psychologically. We’re not their yet, but it remains, in our view, a real possibility.
Perhaps Mr. Celente’s most recent comments, suggesting that Americans “don’t have what it takes,” were more of a challenge out of frustration rather than a forecast.
Collapse of the Economic Ponzi
Lew Rockwell: Here we have the additional quantitative easing so-called – the lie that they disguise when they do money printing and inflating. The stock market’s going up. What else do you think is happening in the economy and what lies ahead.
Gerald Celente: You have to look to Europe. And we’re seeing now Portugal is going to default, they’re going to have to have a bailout. They’re going to keep this digital money not worth the paper it’s not printed on flowing into the system. The collapse is going to happen.
Considering again the topic of civil unrest in the US, perhaps it’s not frustration on his part, but rather, Gerald Celente wants us to read between the lines. What need would there be for protests and riots if the entire system comes crashing down?
We believe that when Mr. Celente refers to “collapse,” he is talking about the end of the economic and, potentially, the political system as we know them in America, and perhaps other parts of the world. We turn to an October 24, 2009 interview with Gerald Celente for some additional insights to this:
We’re going to see a financial crisis that’s already beginning and it’s going to be the currency crisis as we’re seeing with the dollar. And what should be understood is this is going to impact the entire world. A giant is falling. The American empire. This is bigger than just an economic collapse.
When your currency collapses, either through debt default or hyperinflation, it’s a paradigm shift on all levels – economic, social, political. And, according to Celente, this will eventually lead to the next great war. We’re facing the largest debt crisis in the history of the world. Perhaps this is why we can just skip the mid east style social unrest altogether.
Gold, Guns and Getaway Plans
I’ll tell you what I do. I call it three G’s. Gold, Guns and Getaway Plans.
…If a madman like Gaddafi, before he goes down, wants to get even and sets of a dirty bomb or a biological warfare of other types… It may happen in the UK, it may happen in New York, it may happen in Paris. But if they keep going I don’t think this guy is going to fold without a fight. So I’m serious about a getaway plan.
…And I also, for myself, I’m invested in silver. And also in Swiss Francs. Look at all these dictators toppling. Where’s there money going? To Switzerland. They’re the money cockroaches of the world.
It’s survival. Start thinking in terms of survival.
There are plenty of madmen in the world to go around – and not all of them are way over in the middle east. As we’ve opined on numerous occasions, the entire situation is fluid and, with so many variables, cannot be predicted with certainty.
Lots of power players. Lots of money. Lots of egos. Lots of uncertainty.
When you think in terms of survival, consider worst case. What would you do, for example, if a nuclear reactor goes into meltdown 30 miles from your home or a dirty bomb is detonated? At that point, it really doesn’t matter who did it or why. What matters is making it out alive.
A secondary ‘bug-out’ location is important – Japan should make this abundantly clear. A unit of monetary exchange will help with acquisition of goods during and after a currency collapse. Food and water are absolutely essential. Self defense armaments are a must: if you can’t protect it, you don’t own it. Stoves, alternative fuel and other emergency preparedness supplies like the one hundred things that will disappear first are highly recommended.

While on Lew Rockwell show, Gerald Celente also stated that he does not believe the social unrest is going to happen in U.S. of A for the mere reason, that, quote: “Americans don’t have what it takes to take to the streets”. Perhaps this is true as long as welfare checks are being handed out and with the Fed soon to phase out QE2 and soon to begin to enact “Printing Easing 3” any social unrest does seem like a far fetched prospect.
On the side note, Gold and Getaway plans won’t work for most populace since its already too late to buy Gold and fewer than few have means to obtain residency permits in other countries in order to escape the imminent economic collapse

M. Celente really likes to talk. Talk talk talk. Doom and gloom. But I do agree with him on having as many Gs as possible; Â I personally have stashed 4Gs of crisp, new $10 bills around my property.
Urban rioters, nuclear fallout, not even a Toonami can take them away. Â When the danger has passed, I will dig them up and exchange them for goods and services, just as we have done for generations.
You likewise should salt away as many crisp, new $10 bills as you can, and secure them in holes with a concrete cap. Use a GPS or a bit of colored string to mark where you have buried them, and tell no one.
Should the S ever HTF, as Celente has been claiming for the past 40 years, you will be prepared.
Now, so I don’t get any ideas about revolution, I am going to sit here and eat 2 boxes of Krispy Cremes, drink a coffee made with heavily fluoridated water, and grow fatter and even more apathetic.

How about neither? In most SHTF scenarios, people band together to help their fellow humans. That of course depends on the SHTF not lasting “forever”.
Generally, society recovers enough to fend off widespread starvation in time to save most of the population, such as after a natural disaster. If it was a long term event where I couldn’t use my soil to grow things, I might as well have L pills in my preps, because there is a limit.

What many fail to see is that anyone, like Celente, who puts their neck out there is that it’s a prediction, and there is no way to know how people are going to act when the SHTF.

Suzy, you raise valid points. Normally, I do not respond and offer advice, unless I am paid in new, crisp and un-circulated $10 bills; but since my wife is from Singapore via Australia, and since having you mail me a few crisp, new, un-circulated $10 bills would violate OpSec, I will magnanimously make this exception.
Your problem is your money is made of plastic and full of multiple colors, like a clown car. Plastic comes from oil, and as a result when we hit peak oil, your government will no longer be able to print its currency. And we all know no one trusts clowns, or clown colored money.
You should go to the bank and exchange any precious metals or Aus-Clown-Bux for crisp, new, un-circulated US $10 dollar bills. Bury them in the sandy desert you call a yard under the dark of a New Moon. Tell no one.
Eating Big Macs is fine; consume all you can and store the empty carbs as fat cells. This will enable you to weather the coming storm, living comfortably off your fat while those who are in shape and thin will wither and die. Survival of the fittest will become survival of the fattest.
On a personal note, I was in Perth visiting during Thanksgiving year before last. I could not believe the price of Fish and Chips for 4 people as well as 2 imported beers (Budweiser). It came to over 80 USD. I put 2/3 of a tank of gas in the brother-in-laws car, and that was over 70 USD. Very expensive. You should immigrate to the USA, where things are cheaper, and crisp, new, un-circulated $10 bills are plentiful and easy to find.
I don’t think we are a bunch of pussies like this guy points out, but I am a bit apprehensive as I know what I would be up against. I agree with John, most people live in the suburbs (and the city). Where are we going to go?!  I’ve been looking at land but there’s not many good (reasonable) 10-15 acre pieces – most are heavily wooded and unfarmable.Â
I’ve about decided in my mind just to stay put – we are well over 100 miles from Atlanta. We’ve got an acre and a super garden. Lots of fruit trees. Grapes. Strawberries. We can make it for a little while. We’ve got about 1 1/2 or 2 years on the food we have stored, there’s a big river & quite a few ponds within spitting distance for water (plus our pool). Plenty of ammo & guns to keep the zombies at bay.Â
Starting over on farm land (at our ages – late 40’s) would be too difficult. Aches & pains are minimal but starting :( Plus we’ve never lived on a farm. The learning curve would take us years.

I myself live a few blocks and always know that there is a food supply… I do have a garden and some fruit trees as well… It is something to think about.. Â

Then we’ll “load up the truck and move to beverly…hills that is, swimmin’ pools, movie stars…(cue banjo music…) Hopefully I can buy the house next door to Charlie Sheen. While I agree that many Americans are out of shape, clueless and child-like in their thinking, it doesn’t mean that they won’t be dangerous. Heck, there’s a “trampled to death at big box store” story every year after Black Friday, it seems.
I’m expecting the inevitable collapse that we’re in the midst of, when its in full bloom, to be a slow-dawning realization among the majority, followed by a blend of incompetence and chaos. To waaaay oversimplify:
1) Get as prepped as you can now.
2) When the tipping point is in sight, realize that the slow realization of the heretofore unaware will provide you with truly golden hours for final preps.
3) Stay quiet, hidden, locked and loaded for days 3-30 (roughly) while those who never opened their eyes react to what seems to them to be sudden change.
The devil is in the details…determine your mix of beans, bullets, band-aids, PMs, Alexander Hamilton-embossed toilet paper, etc. based on your own circumstances.

I’m underemployed and am, slowly, running out of energy to perform my work as it is very physically demanding; thankfully, right now, it’s a solid and decent paying job. If the economy were not getting worse, as it is, I would have, naturally, advanced to a less physical and more technical aspect of my job as I have been, steadily, increasing my knowledge of this job. I’ve been performing the same task for @ 5 yrs. and have been very successfuly w/online courses for the past 3 yrs. While, thankfully, my pay has increased, significantly, through this, I am not going anywhere career-wise… ??? Most the guys I work w/are quite younger than myself they don’t give a rip about anything other than their next party while, with 4 kids to feed, I’m FEELING the lack of opportunity and I’m running out of energy. I’ve done quite a bit of preparing already but still feel unprepared as I view, in a odd kind of way, my enduring a socio-economic collapse as the job promotion that, only, I can provide. Granted I hate that this is all happening and that my children, probably, won’t experience the childhood that I was blessed to enjoy. I’m sad, angry, stressed out and tired. Then down the way… my calves screaming in pain… I slowed down… a mistake… I’m screwed now… an NWO U.N. Blue NAFTA DHS Cop car pulled up behind, tires screeching… siren blaring , lights a twirling, screaming over the horn “PULL THE HELL OVER!”
At that time… I said to myself “FUCK IT!” an thought “I’m homeless cold and hungry”… this Asshole Cop isn’t gonna do me like “Rodney King”!… “The NWO U.N. IMF Fuckers did this to me”… I skidded to a stop “swiiishhhh!”… planted my worn out boots upon cold concrete… reached into my sweat soiled pants waist… an pulled my cold heavy .45 glock like slow dead weight… fingers numb… pointed it at the windshield of the NWO U.N. NAFTA blue patrol car… looking the Cop dead in the eye… I recognized him, he use to be nice to me, always smiling when we met on the street… Officer Friendly, now wearing NWO Camo Combat Gear, with U.N. Sky Blue Patches… once our neighborhood hero… here to “Protect and Serve”… now no more… now he is a DHS Federalized Thug… a NWO U.N. NAFTA blue Storm Trooper Whore… ordered by our illegal false president obama to “Punish and Enslave!”
And while the innocent child in me… kept asking… “why, why, why ?”… the newly found stone cold cop killer in me… didn’t bat an eye… I aimed an pulled the trigger BLAMÂ BLAM BLAM 1,2,3… right through the windshield… into the NWO U.N. blue NAFTA DHS Whore’s red screaming face!!!
