The violence behind gun control shows through once again, as a grieving father of a shooting victims gets nasty with a Pro-2nd Amendment lawmaker who has refused to give into pressure to pass gun control legislation.
A State Senator in Virginia has gone public with concerns for his safety after receiving bizarre threats from Andy Parker, the prominent gun control advocate and father of slain TV reporter Alison Parker.
State Senator Bill Stanley called the Capitol Police in Roanoke after receiving ‘unsettling’ threats he said likely came out of grief and anger, but have, nevertheless, “escalated to the point where it’s dangerous.”
Shortly afterwards, Stanley applied for a concealed carry weapons permit, something the gun owner and gun rights legislator said he never felt he had needed until now.
The Roanoke Times reports:
Late Tuesday, Parker sent this message to [State Senator Bill] Stanley, R-Franklin County, via Facebook: “I’m going to be your worst nightmare you little bastard.”
“I take this very seriously as a threat against the safety of my family,” said Stanley, who contacted Capitol Police and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.“We are proud firearms owners, but I never felt the need for a concealed carry permit until now,” he said.
Parker confirmed that he sent the message, but said the only intended threat was political.
“I don’t own a gun,” Parker said. “I have a pellet gun, that’s it. … If he thinks I’m going to be a threat to him other than a political threat, that is just mind-boggling.”
Parker sent Stanley another Facebook message after a Washington Post reporter contacted him about the alleged threat.
“Thank you again for providing me another opportunity to call you out in the press because I ‘frightened’ you,” Parker wrote. “You’re the only person I know that would try to turn me into a threatening bad guy. I love it.”
The state’s governor, Terry McAuliffe, who has thrown his weight behind gun control legislation, lashed out at Sen. Stanley for taking the threat seriously. Gov. McAuliffe has combined force with Andy Parker and former Mayor Michael Bloomberg to use the shocking deaths of reporter Allison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward, among others, to advance gun control:
McAuliffe characterized the message, which Parker said was a political threat, as ill-advised, but he suggested Stanley was blowing the issue out of proportion and knew Parker did not intend physical harm.
“Come on, Bill, you’re tougher than that,” McAuliffe said during his radio appearance. “Man up. Come on. This is ridiculous.”
But that wasn’t the end of the threats that Stanley received. He received a message on Facebook from Andy Parker that went further:
“You’re finest moment you little coward. [sic] You didn’t even have the decency to reach out and offer a lame condolence after my daughter Alison Bailey was murdered in your district. When you see me again, you best walk the other way lest I beat your little ass with my bare hands.”
Andy Parker took credit for the messages and confirm that they were his, before accusing Stanley of playing for political points:
“It is legitimate. I am going to be his worst nightmare,” Parker said. “He and Parrish are both little cowards. Anything I say to him and post on his website, I will take full credit for.”

“He’s not freaked out. He’s trying to flip the conversation,” Parker said. “If I wanted to threaten him personally, the last thing I would do is post it on his Facebook page.”
State Senator Stanley feels that Parker singled him out as a target of blame for the tragic events of his daughter’s death:
“From the very beginning, he turned on me as if I had something to do with the horrible death of his daughter,” Stanley said. “It’s not rational, but nevertheless, when I was asked about it, I said, ‘Let him grieve. If I have to be the object as he works through this, fine.’ But this goes beyond the pale.”
Parker issued an apologya, before vowing to continue his gun control efforts, as well as those to oppose Stanley personally:
“In my grief over the murder of my daughter and my anger over a political system that allows incidents like that to continue, I spoke regrettably,” Parker said. “I apologize for my words, but make no mistake, I will continue to seek justice and change as a father in memory of my daughter.”
Michael Bloomberg’s Every Town for Gun Safety is spending a reported $2.2 million to air ads for gun control that feature Andy Parker.
Ironically, given his gun control stance, Andy Parker publicly stated his intentions to buy a gun for personal protect after the murder of his daughter, before reportedly changing his mind.
Andy Parker has become a controversial figure, after the sensational and tragic murder of his daughter and a cameraman who were shot during a television interview by what is supposedly a disgruntled former station employee, Vester Lee Flanagan. Conspiracy theorists have centered around claims that the event was staged, and that Parker is a crisis actor. Oddly enough, Parker is a former professional actor who appeared on TV during decades past. The victim’s father made statements about being sent “semithreatening messages” by people on the Internet.
“I started getting YouTube notifications of these people saying just ugly, crazy stuff, that the whole thing was a hoax, it was made up, and we were crisis actors,” he said. “I’ve had some weird, semithreatening [messages].” But “I didn’t feel it was necessary to call the state police, and cry to the state police and go out and get a concealed weapons permit.” (source)
I do not believe for one minute that there was a murder of that journalist. Provide proof that it ever happened.

I’ll use the word that best describes him, from what can be gathered from his post. He is a “flaming liberal”, and so is Andy Parker, albeit (possibly) a paid one.

Great grandpas shotgun, is still working 100%, it over a hundred year old. The first gun Dad bought me is still able to put rounds through the same hole, repeatedly. It’s currently worth 50 times what dad paid for it.
When you buy a standard firearm there is a showroom loss of about 20%. From there on out, they gain in value unless they are over used. Ranges that rent firearms show that most well made firearms can handle 50,000 to a 100,000 rounds.
I buy good quality firearms, and I don’t feel ripped off, they could last hundreds of years, and be passed down through many generations, providing protection to your children, their children, their children………

As an aside, this is what worries me in a home defense situation. He was under about half the stress you’d be under in a home defense scenario and (because of that???) he missed. Imagine the stress doubled.
Regarding accuracy under stress.
NY City Police report extensively on shootings. The following is not to denigrate them, but to reveal what stress does to accuracy? When faced with suspect gunfire, a gun battle, police accuracy drops to 13%. When defending against dangerous suspects armed with lesser weapons like hammers, knives, fists etc police accuracy jumps to about 34%. When firing at dangerous dogs, police accuracy is over 55%.
Some other interesting facts from the same report, NY police over the last 10 Years fired an average of 3.7 rounds in shootings that has held consistent even though many officers made transitions to higher capacity handguns. Accidental discharges are way down, like 20% I suspect it’s better training, handguns and holsters, though the report did not draw conclusions. A note on the dog shootings, 80% of the dogs shot were Pit Bulls, next largest group were Rottweilers and then German Shepards. Use of firearms/ police shootings are down by half over ten years ago. To watch the news today you’d think police were shooting people right and left. Probably because of YouTube videos, police are not shooting as many people.

Around the 4th of July I was at Mt. Rushmore area, and went to se Crazy House area. When I went in there was a sign on the door that stated no firearms. I went to the information desk and told them I’m a COP, d I was carrying my sidearm. One guy said no problem, but someone over him told me no. (he looked Native American)I was told that they didn’t want me in the building with it on. I told them that I didn’t want to cause any trouble so I left the building and placed my weapon in my vehicle. I really wanted to see inside the shop. (I like Native American Indian things). And most importantly I didn’t want to ruin for my family.
I told the clerk that I was going to take my weapon out to my vehicle. He responded to me and said “It is good to know that you are a COP and if we have any problems we will call on you”. I looked him in the eye and asked him “So you only want be to be a COP when you want me to be”. He didn’t respond. I told him. “You are on his own, and if anything happened I would be happy to only take care of my family and that he can take care of himself”. I also told him “Don’t call me, because if I don’t have my side arm I’m not sticking my neck out to save your butt”.
I should have raised a stink right then an there with him, but I didn’t want to ruin the trip for my family.

Im Mr “Everyone should carry” But I uses to be partners in a small grain mill. W hired a lot of parolees so the cops and PO’s would show up from time to time. There was a big No Guns sign on the door and the cops seemed to believe that that did not pertain to them. The complaining of the cops was amazing and usually devolved into threats of prosecution. But we held firm. We had good reason to. If someone managed to fire off a shot they would kill us all. So no guns in the plant. Insurance said no.
A new PO came one day and didn’t even bat an eye. He went back to his car and came back with a shovel. “How is this”. He was a good cop and understood things. We ended up just taking his parolees. He seemed to have the best parolees too. Or perhaps it as the way he treated them.
Respectfully, you being a COP should be irrelevant as you’re no more or less likely to commit a gun crime than any other lawful gun owner.

What’s good for civilian day to day life should also be good for off duty officers. The problem with these stores is that as long as cops are allowed to carry off duty, there’s no onus to put pressure on them from a legal perspective to change their idiotic ways.

I often open carry. Just a small sidearm. I am not try to show anything off. I open carry for the same reason you open carry when you are on duty: You can get to it and use it faster. Its just a little 9mm (Its a Ruger LC9) in a small black holster on my hip.
I mostly ignore no weapons signs when I see them. I have never been confronted. However, if I am going to be in a place for a long period of time and I think it will be a problem, I simply conceal carry.
I am an official member of my state militia, according to my state’s constitution. Older than 17 and a citizen…
But, regardless, my state constitution says we’re are allowed to carry arms in defense of ourselves and the state. Hard to do that if you’re not armed. So, I figure the state law covers me. But, then there is the supreme law of the land that simply states that any arms restrictions cannot be. So, I’m actually covered three times:
A) Militia member. (Yes, it is OFFICAL, not some weekend shooters club.)
B) State law says all citizens can carry to protect themselves and the state.
C) USCON says any arms restrictions are unlawful/illegal.
So, why didn’t you just simply button your jacket or put your full sized weapon in the car and switch to backup? I refuse to bow to peer pressure that does not have legal force behind it. They can just pound sand.

No infringement, anywhere or anytime. If i want to walk down the street in Anytown, USSAG; i should be allowed to “open or conceal”, carry if i so choose. If i have the need or want to go onto another person’s property, I should be allowed to do that while i am “openly or concealed” carrying.
In saying that, I also must understand, that the private landowner, for any reason, may not want me on his, or her, land, and has the full right to ask me to leave, even if it is because I am carrying.
If I do not leave promptly, then i also must understand, the landowner has the full right to then “order” me to leave, and i must promptly do so.
If i refuse to promptly leave after being ordered to do so, I must then also realize that I may be forcefully removed by whatever means is necessary by the landowner, which means i could be leaving in a body bag, or by being dragged behind a four wheeled vehicle, while in an incapacitated form, induced by said landowner.
As simple as that.
The trespass law does not kick in until they ask you to leave. I carry all

I understand the man is grieving, but emotions make a poor substitute for reason. I continue to be at a loss to find one person who can suggest to me what ‘gun control’ legislation would have prevented ANY of these shootings from happening. Criminals don’t obey laws and those intent on killing will find a way. The fact is, the reporter and cameraman, as well as the person being interviewed, were ALL situationally unaware. The shooter was standing there with his gun out for at least a minute before he actually began shooting and it seems they didn’t even notice him standing there, let alone notice the fact that he had a gun pointed at them. One major way to prevent something bad happening to you is to be aware of what’s going on around you. Too many people these days walking around with their eyes glued to their phone with ear buds in their ears are simply walking targets.
Grieving? Doubt that. How could any father go on TV and coherently speak to reporters after their baby girl was “murdered”? No way in hell I would be anywhere but with my family. It’s all bullshit. And another thing. What are the odds that both “grieving” fathers are named Parker. Both put on a show. Remember Robbie Parker.

Computer imaging and graphics technology is super good these days and it isn’t that difficult for those who know what they are doing to completely stage and fake events in order to decieve the eyes of the public and to use as propaganda as a way to gain support for their gun control mission.

Speaking of gun control. Has anyone else seen. “ATSN: Stop the Threat” series on TV? I get it on PRST on Dish Network. It’s a low budget half hour show that reviews civilian self defense shootings with reinactments and follow up reviews by a panel of ex military, retired police etc.
I find it very thought provoking. It is likely that between now and the next disaster that we prep for, tens of thousands of homes will be robbed, or invaded. They offer good ideas on home security, and home defense tactics for the immediate threats, many of which will continue to help even after the SHTF.

Once upon a time liberals proposed a gun law that bans felons from buying guns. It was a great idea. Felons were violent crimes, like murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, kidnapping.
Since that gun law was passed the number of crimes that are classified as felonies has exploded. There are now thousands of laws that essentially make you a non citizen, unable to buy firearms, and even unable to vote.
Smoking pot will cause you to be banned for life from buying firearms. I can’t remember any law that took Americans right to keep and bear arms away ever being rescinded.
If the Federal government follows states and decriminalized pot, there will be about 30 million Americans that may have to be removed from the NIC system as firearms banned.
