It has been difficult to miss the Christian Nationalism movement seeping into the ruling class. Even the current president is weaponizing religion in order to attempt to promote his war-mongering ideals.
According to Bran Onishi, the host of the popular podcast “Straight White American Jesus” and the author of “Preparing for War: The Extremist History of White Christian Nationalism and What Comes Next.”Christian nationalism is an ideology that is based on the idea that this is a Christian nation, that it was founded as a Christian nation, and, therefore, it should be a Christian nation today and should be so in the future.
That means, there should be no separation of church and state, but the church is the state and vice versa.
Irish activist and satirist Tadhg Hickey has said that the Trump administration is “weaponizing Christianity” in order to justify its actions in the Middle East. In fact, on Good Friday, Department of War chief Pete Hegseth compared a rescued pilot that he sent to war to Jesus Christ.
“You see, shot down on a Friday —Good Friday — hidden in a cave — a crevice — all of Saturday and rescued on Sunday,” Hegseth said accoridng to a report by Fox News. “Flown out of Iran as the sun was rising on Easter Sunday, a pilot reborn. All home and accounted for. A nation rejoicing. God is good.”
In addition to Hegseth’s odd comments, Trump also gave thanks to God for the mission’s success, claiming multiple times that “God was watching us.”
While appearing on RT’s East Meets West show, hosted by Tara Reade and Olga Bataman, Hickey described it as ironic that Trump and other officials in his administration have invoked biblical messaging in their public statements on the war against Iran, when in reality their actions are “going further and further away from what Christ’s teachings were.”
“It’s a weaponizing of Christianity that I find really appalling. It’s really vulgar this idea that Jesus is this kind of agent of war for these people, and there’s nothing Christian about their values or their behavior,” Hickey said.
Not long ago, troops in the U.S. were told that war is in “God’s plan” as the rulers attempt to turn this horrific display of attacks into some kind of promotion of a Holy war.

This push toward a Christian Nationalist theocracy became obvious after the death of Charlie Kirk. Kirk was an obvious Christian Nationalist and conservative who regularly boasted about besting teenagers in “debates.”
