A new report has claimed that Ukraine’s ruler, Volodymyr Zelensky, wants to recruit women and teenagers to be used as “cannon fodder” in his ongoing war with Russia. The mounting casualties and citizens fleeing conscription are being blamed for Ukraine facing the grim option of forcing more of its population into military service.

Why Military Conscription Is Worse Than Slavery

Even though military service is being forced on almost everyone, Ukraine insists on adding women and teenagers to the list of those eligible to be slaughtered as “cannon fodder.”

Ukraine To Force 30,000 People Into Conscription Every Month

According to a report by RT, despite brutal mobilization efforts, Ukraine’s Armed Forces (AFU) remain critically understaffed as many are killed or flee the abject slavery being forced on them. Even aggressive recruitment campaigns and tightening draft laws have failed to produce the needed surge in enlistments. Now the government is moving toward slashing the minimum conscription age from 25 to just 18, sending teenagers straight into a bloody and grinding war that Zelensky has no intention of ending. At the same time, serious discussions are underway about mobilizing women en masse, a step that would mark a historic escalation in Kiev’s attempts to prolong the war.

Currently, those under the age of 25 are not being subjected to “mandatory mobilization”. In order to change the trajectory of the mobilization of those under the age of 25, almost three months ago, Ukraine launched a new initiative offering 18 to 24-year-olds the option of contract service. Rolled out on February 11th, this program offered recruits a contract bonus of one million hryvnias (around $24,000), monthly salaries up to 120,000 hryvnias, and other perks in a desperate bid to bolster AFU numbers.

“Roughly eight million have gone to Europe, about three million to Russia – that’s close to a quarter of Ukraine’s prewar population,”  Vladimir Zharikhin, deputy director of the Institute of CIS Countries, explained. “In other words, Kiev isn’t drafting from the 50-plus million people who lived in Ukraine around the time of the Soviet collapse. It’s choosing from the 20-odd million who remain today. That’s why we’re seeing serious discussions about mobilizing yesterday’s schoolboys, women, and anyone else they can find.”

Since survival rates in the Ukrainian military forces are low, people are unwilling to accept money in exchange for their lives, as they’ll likely never see that money anyway. Ukraine has a huge problem, and hopefully, this problem will spread. People need to stand up and say no to being forced into war (and signing up voluntarily) in order to stop wars forever. If no one fights, there is no war.

While that’s a utopian ideal, what do you think? Will Ukraine be successful? Will conscripting women and 18-year-olds help them beat Russia in a war?
