President Donald Trump has responded to a veiled threat from the Iranian regime with a warning of his own on Twitter.  In all capital letters, Trump warned that any hostilities against the United States would be met with dire consequences.

In response to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who warned the U.S. that a war with Tehran would be the “mother of all wars,” but peace would be “the mother of all peace,” Trump threatened Iran in a tweet. Rouhani also cautioned Trump not to “play with the lion’s tail, because you will regret it eternally.” Trump then responded, likely heightening already sky-high tensions with Iran in the wake of Washington’s decision to pull out of the Iran nuclear agreement, and told the Iranian president to never threaten the United States again.

Trump announced in May that the United States was withdrawing from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, and last month the United States said it would impose sanctions on all exporters of Iranian oil. American officials have since moderated the sanctions demand, which roiled oil markets.  That announcement of withdrawal has been the beginning of increasing tensions and rhetoric between Washington and Tehran.

Trump wrote: “To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATE AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKE OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!”

Escalation of rhetoric has obviously shot up thanks to both leaders recently.  Rouhani had earlier threatened the possible disruption of regional oil shipments if its own exports were blocked by U.S. sanctions. On Saturday, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said he supported Rouhani’s suggestion to block oil exports, an indication that Iran’s leadership was in accord over the apparent threat. Rouhani has long been considered a more pragmatic leader who was seen as “tolerable” to moderates, according to The New York Times

IRNA, the state-controlled news agency, dismissed Trump’s message Monday as “bullying words and the rhetoric he uses especially in his early-morning tweets.” The New York Times further reported that Trump’s warning to Iran came hours after a speech by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that was harshly critical of Iran’s leadership.

Pompeo accused Iran’s leadership of widespread corruption at the expense of its citizens’ welfare. “Governments around the world worry that confronting the Islamic Republic harms the cause of moderates, but these so-called moderates within the regime are still violent Islamic revolutionaries with an anti-America, anti-West agenda,” Pompeo said in the speech at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. “You only have to take their own words for it.”

      1. Hmmmm….where I have heard ‘the mother of all wars’ before.

        Oh yeah, I was there.

        • IF YOU BOOMERS ARE TOO PUSSY TO STOP THE 80 IQ 50% INBRED MUSLIMS FROM COMING HERE BY THE MILLIONS

YOU OBVIOUSLY ARE TOO PUSSY TO GET INTO A WAR WITH THEM

WILL THERE BE A SECOND CIVIL WAR?

          NO

          HOW DO I KNOW THIS?

BECAUSE THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH REAL MEN LEFT TO DO IT

ANYPLACE THERE ARE WOMEN WILL BE GELDED EVENTUALLY

HOW THE FUCK CAN MEN BE READY FOR A WAR IF THEY TOOK ALL THE BOXING CLUBS OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL?

WOMEN MUST BE KEPT OUT OF THE OFFICE AND THE UNIVERSITY. THEY BELONG AT HOME RAISING CHILDREN AND COOKING HEALTHY MEALS INSTEAD OF PROCESSED FOOD. WOMEN HAVE NEVER BUILT A CITY OR INVENTED ANYTHING IN 300000 YEARS AND WE DONT NEED A WOMANS POINT OF VIEW ABOUT ANYTHING WHATSOEVER.

IF YOU SHOVE MCDONALDS DOWN YOUR KIDS GULLET, YOU ARE A SHITTY PARENT. PERIOD.

          • I’m not a Boomer and don’t much care for them.

imo, there will be a war between different minority members.

          • Lots of Somalians in Minnesota. Start your revolution, buddy.

      2. I love MY President

      3. I’ll say it again that it will be a great day when there is a smoldering, radioactive crater when Tehran and millions of islamic savages used to be.

        • BOYS THESE DAYS HAVE SO MANY THINGS AND SO FEW EXPERIENCES.

YOU CANT EXPECT A FEMINIZED COUNTRY TO STAND UP FOR ITSELF.

ISLAM WILL CONQUER ALL THE LANDS THAT WHITES ONCE CONQUERED.

THEY WILL TAKE ALL THE BLONDES AS SEX SLAVES LIKE THE BARBARY COAST PIRATES ONCE DID. THATS WHY THERE ARE NO BLONDES IN ITALY GREECE OR SPAIN. DID YOU KNOW THAT?

DONT LIKE WHITE SUPREMACY? WAIT TILL YOU SEE NONWHITE SUPREMACY.

        • Oui, d’accord!

        • Menzo, agreed about Tehran. Not all Iranians are muslim and I get the feeling some of them are converting to something else. The Iranian people deserve better. BTW, some dickhead is posting under your name again.

          • I know BH. I wish I could beat them senseless with a ball bat but whatever. I ain’t going anywhere. Folks know that is not me. Tehran is no man’s land for Christians. They should leave the muslim scum there to die.

      4. Looks like someone needs to make some money. War is profitable (to some).

      5. Iran has not attacked another Country for 200 years.

        The (((NWO))) wants War.

“We are going to attack seven Countries: Iraq, Afghanistan”, so on and so forth.

        _

        • Yeah, I’ll buy that for a dollar. Iran isn’t cooperating and giving a really good reason to be stomped. They just flick the tigers whiskers and run away. Someday, maybe.

        • Different people have speculated on the meaning of the Iranian hand amputation device, some saying it was for voter fraud or Bible reading. To me, it resembled the machine used to cut leaves of tobacco.

I’m growing some, and use in moderation.

I find their anti-drinking laws ironic, in light of the shrine to Ayatollah Kumeini, in the warehouse of the liquor store, where they sold meth, and also talked about fasting during Ramadan. That is in Beaumont, California. You went to the 4th of July, with the bag over your head, but only right after 9-11. Once you got to the point of putting a victory minaret over Ground Zero, then we were back to being the Great Satan.

I wore a tanktop, cargo shorts, and fisherman’s sandals, to walk my dog. Bearded and in sandals. You people of the Mid East said, audibly, how we were so strange looking, from the house you were given at our expense.

      6. God I love it when the trolls hit this page with all CAPS…. hahahahaha

      7. The Silent Generation = people 75 and over.

Baby Boomers = people age 60 to early 70’s.
The *majority* of Baby Boomers are currently in their 60’s.

Generation Jones = people in their late 40’s to late 50’s.

Gen-Xers = people in their late 30’s to late 40’s.
The majority of Gen-Xers are currently in their 40’s.

        Millennials = mid 20’s to mid 30’s

*Since this breakdown is not an exact science (and never will be) there is some overlap and those in-between are on the cusp of two generations. Those on the cusp identify with one or the other generation, depending upon their life experiences and birth order and time period or generation in which their older siblings were born.

        • I identify as a boomer. Im 58. I joined the Army the day I turned 17, so I was always around and influenced boy those at least a few years older than me. Even my wife is 65. I’ve always felt Like My thinking was more in line with boomers, even though I’m barely in that group.

          • bctruck, My 58 yr old brother also identifies as a Boomer, I think because he’s the youngest of four and the oldest three are all Boomers. But I have a cousin who is turning 58 next month and she strongly identifies as Gen Jones. Maybe because she’s an only child and her friends and coworkers are all a year or a few yrs younger than her.

People on the cusp can go either way, there’s no right or wrong. It depends upon how you were influenced and who you were influenced by.

I just posted that info because I’ve been reading here for over a year and never post but noticed there’s some confusion over the generations. What is so disturbing to me is the hatred and divide among the generations, and even worse, there is nothing we can do to fix it. Thanks to public education who indoctrinated kids and turned them against each other and successfully pitted the generations against each other.

Most Gen-Xers hate Baby Boomers. Boomers know they are despised and hated, or not hated only tolerated, but don’t know why this is. I have a good understanding of why that is but can’t go into it here.

One issue of many is that the Boomers were taught “Respect Authority”, the Gen-Xers were taught “Question Authority”.
All this does is create conflict that divides us even more.

TPTB divide and conquer plan has worked thus far for the past 40 years. Americans are so divided, at this point we can never come together as a nation. We are deeply divided by race, social class, gender(women-haters/men-haters), and even generational divides are apparent. Add pro-Trump/pro-life versus anti-Trump/pro-choice. There is, without question, more conflict, hatred and divide than there is peace, cohesiveness and kindness among our fellow man.

Again, the generational/age dividing line is not an exact science, nor does it need to be. Thanks for replying. SS

            • I can think of other examples, but would say that the Gulf War was like Vietnam, to us.

I was liked by respectable militarists, who I will leave unnamed, here.

But, when I asked basic hiring sort-of questions to the recruiters, in my social studies class, the teacher yelled at me, and the conspicuous quota cases in uniform would later avoid me on campus.

There were donations drives, to get paint on the tanks and for other mil equipment.

I saw a lot of failures, that I didn’t necessarily want to see.

I have no death wish and keep my stuff, here.

        • Straddling Boomers and Millennials. Bodybuilderish but not entirely dumb. Won ticker tape parades have science honors and taught college credit math at a charter school. Appreciated the more-astute vids, which were posted here. I fix tools and think of inventions. Solve engineering puzzles at day jobs, and have my own small businesses.

I think, my grandparents and parents were nostalgic for cronyism, because that used to provide a comfortable standard of living, under that social contract. You talked like sailors, on a good day, and had lots of bad habits, not under control.

Most people, now, resemble that discouraged phase of communism, when working harder will do you no good.

But, you can still pursue your personal interests, independently.

Catching my breath, over lunch, between lifting tree pots in 105F. Yes, it was something hipterish to eat, healthy. A good kind of sore. I have morale, drive, history, logic, no normalcy bias or faith in mankind, outside of myself.

I got along, well, with much older people, who knew how to make and do things, and with kids, who are like that. We are apparently just now waking up from some kind of New Deal makework brainwash. But, you people from the Pike prediction will have to get it out of your system.

      8. Trump directed back on script after the meeting with Putin psyop as the deep state swamp asserts its dominance firmly. Pompeo statements are the pot calling the kettle black. Leave Iran alone and demand that Israel nuclear disarm and stop killing the actual native inhabitants for actual peace in the region. The oil companies run this shitshow and have for well over 100 years, destroying the environment and blocking tech advancements beneficial to overall humanity while killing natural health real cures and pushing chemical poisons that sicken rather than offer improved health. Both political sides are mirror images that support war and manufactured death to world populations. Pathetic that people believe this left-right BS that hides and builds the tyranny and is the working control mechanism.

      9. It’s impotent to saber rattle. Why do it? Never tell the enemy what you are going to do or even let them know what you are honestly thinking.

Typically jabberjaws are all trashtalking not doing anything. It almost as if they are trying to get their nerve up or incite a riot.

Iran has sent countless insurgency forces throught the Middle East. They also have aided our enemies through funds and technical assistence

But of course America supported the Shah who mercilessly terrorized his enemies with SAVAK. That made Khomeni flee to France where they mollycoddled him and sheltered him. Then come back and reverse American influence throughout the Middle East beginning with Carter.

We have forgotten how to wage war TOTALLY. The goal was never to foster democracies but to gain territory that you could reasonablky hold and wealth through plunder and theft of natural resources or technology.

It’s asinine that all war since the Spanish-American War in 1898 has not benefitted the USA whatsoever, only in the end created more problems like Germany and Japan economically competing, a stalemate in Korea, a waste of time in Vietnam, a pointless Iraq and Afghanistan and Libiyan and Syrian policy.

But it did make the globalists wealthy and ruined the American Middle Class.

      10. Trump is right…!!!
The US owes Iran a giant ass-kicking: The Iranian takeover for 444 days of the US Embassy, the 241 Marines that died in the car bombing of their Beirut Barracks, the killing of US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Continued harassment of US Naval vessels
during the obama admin.Teaching the Shites/Taliban how to build IED’s used to kill US troops. Current material/tactical support of the Taliban.
The Iranian butt kicking by the US is long overdue…..

        • Iran today is not the Iran of 1979. They have some radical dickheads in charge, true.
The youngsters don’t hate us. They want freedom.

      11. All American wars after the Spanish-American war (1898) cost us MORE in untold trillions, perhas quadrillions if we do the inflation conversion, and to zero net benefit.

        https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sieges_of_Boulogne_(1544%E2%80%9346)
They remind me of the stupidity of Henry VIII fighting a pointless siege battle for Boulogne just to aussuage his pride. Yet it nearly bankrupted England and in the end, he had to sell it right back to France and for no net monetary gain!

Had we spent all of that money on the American Republic, or heck just what we spent on the Marshall Plan in Europe and similarly in Japan, then the USA would be a juggernaut and a utopia.

Instead, we are totally disrespected and doing pointless actions to pretend that we are powerful.

      12. Iran is in the throes of a civil war right now. (not heard on USA fake news channels because it is not politically expedient.) The mollas (sic) are on borrowed time there as the TRUE Iranians move to take over and straighten out the mess. Thumbs up to them and good luck!

      13. There is a persistent rumor about bombing Iran for about the last 48 hours. Something is coming to a head.

There are Christians in Iran as well. They are very brave and in history from the seventies onward, some were beheaded for their beliefs including pastors.

Many secretly support the West and are often Muslim in name only and loathe what happened when Khomeni took power as they were heavily westernized under the Shah.

Persian ladies are especially lovely for some reason. There are videos of muslims who have mysterical experiences through dreams about Jesus, who then renounce Islam at huge risk, and some have fled to the West. And they are utterly devout.
