Gun sales were up 72% compared to this time last year,  with first-time buyers leading the pack. Americans are likely sensing that something is horribly wrong with the rigged system we are forced to live under.

According to a report by the Washington Post, the National Sports Shooting Foundation says that first-time gun buyers played a heavy role in the increase.  Women and black Americans have also shown interest in arming themselves this year.

“Nearly 5 million Americans purchased a firearm for the very first time in 2020. NSSF surveyed firearm retailers which reported that 40% of sales were conducted to purchasers who have never previously owned a firearm,” the organization said in its analysis, which tracked background checks associated with the sale of a firearm reported by the FBI’s National Instant Background Check System.

The organization said this uptick in purchases by those who have not owned a gun before, equates to nearly 5 million first-time gun owners in the first seven months of 2020. “This is a tectonic shift in the firearm and ammunition industry marketplace and complete transformation of today’s gun-owning community,” said Lawrence G. Keane, a senior vice president at the foundation. “These first-time buyers represent a group of people who, until now, were agnostic regarding firearm ownership. That’s rapidly changing, and these Americans are taking hold of their God-given right to keep and bear arms and protect themselves and their loved ones,” Mr. Keane said.

With social upheaval, political overreach and power grabs, and any number of other issues 2020 has thrown at the public, Americans appear to at least somewhat be willing to fight for their right to live freely.

The foundation’s current surveys revealed that 58% of all firearm purchases were among Black men and women, the largest increase of any demographic group. Women comprised 40% of first-time gun purchasers. Retailers also noted that they are seeing a 95% increase in firearm sales and a 139% increase in ammunition sales over the same period in 2019. –the The Washington Post

The general consensus seems to be that with four months left in 2020, we have yet to see the true scope and depravity of the elites who claim to own everyone and everything. But, lead is one of my personal favorites when it comes to storing metals.

      1. I am 75 years old – I own all types of guns and plenty of ammo for them. I have been preaching to my adult children to arm up. Like most Americans they believed that Nothing bad could happen in America.
They have finally woke – Their CCP is in the mail. When recieved we will go gun shopping.
First weapons I will recommend is 9MM pistol and 12 gauge shotgun. They can later get ar-15’s or 10’s
I would recommend ar chambered in a308cal.
If they could afford it, some night vision capability.
And of course the other important items like bug out location and all the prep stuff.

      2. Dont assume all these gun buyers are good citizens. Many might be wanna be insurgents, of the kind we see in the streets of burning cities today. They pass the FBI check as they are clean, but untrained and stupid. As long as they kill each other great. But I think they will quickly learn safe gun handling. Darwin will weed out the idiots. These may be the goons that drive thru a middle class neighborhood shooting into homes. Or power substations. They are sowing terror, showing the government cant protect us.
Video surveillance cameras on our homes today are essential.

We may be forced to fight the Biden communist regime gun confiscation teams and a BLM/Antifa insurgency at the same time.

      3. Went for a hair cut yesterday, the barber is a lady and she told me she just bought a 9mm, and she said this is ridiculous, now where the hell can I get ammo. I told her I don’t know, I use to get 1 or 2 emails daily from SGammo, and now I haven’t even had 1 email from them for a month. You know the old saying, Without ammo a rifle is just a club and a pistol is just a rock. So if your new to the game, good luck on finding ammo. I don’t think they’re will be any ammo before November, and if Biden wins, enjoy your new club and just throw your rock away. Trekker Out

        • The ammo shortage is being attributed to supply and demand. The USA has no lead smelting plants and little lead. A guy with as much cash as George Sonos would get better results for his agenda by buying up the ammo across the USA than getting Hilary or Joey elected.
Note ANTIFA has been showing up at these cities with ar15’s in tow. So yes the demand for ammo is up but the capability to supply (make) it is not maxed out, but Soros works with China and the NWO and China controls lead, primers and probably the brass. Fake demand?

        • It’s out there but it’s not inexpensive anymore for sure and a lot of it is cheap. Avoid the steel case if you can unless you have a glock. Here are 3 good sites will point anyone in the right direction…

          Hope this helps

      4. Find somebody that reloads. When it comes on the market again stock up. A lot of gon stores keep 9mm in back for those that just bought a 9 mm pistol.

      5. The gun store in town has about 10% of what it used to have on the shelves. Ammo can be had, but it’s hit or miss if they have what your looking for and a one or two box limit.

      6. jakartaman:

I suppose all the guns, ammo and knowledge of same will be placed in your coffin when you die.

It seems to me that you have failed: Failed as a father by not teaching your children what you know, failed as a father to place import on that knowledge, and failed as a father to pass the tools on to your offspring and leave a legacy that may mean something. But at least you got yours…

Failing to plan is planning to fail.

This is not the time to see who dies with the most stuff, but to ensure the most don’t die until they live a long life like yourself.

        • Your making huge assumptions in your statement. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. Same with children. You can teach and the lessons can be forgotten and/or discarded. The good book makes reference to this! The good book also says that you as an individual are responsible for making preparations for yourself and immediate family – not grown adults who choose to take an attitude of others will take care of me!

      7. Ammo is in short supply in most physical stores, depending on the caliber. You can however buy ammo online. Sure it may cost a little more but that’s about the best chance unless you stalk your local gun shop waiting for the delivery.

      8. Yep, the guy in the picture is another first time buyer, or a long time owner that doesn’t know firearms safety. Say I’m picky if you like, but I sure don’t want to die by friendly fire. Keep your finger out of that thar trigger guard until your ready to shoot. Trekker Out

        • You are correct! The USA was sold out by both political parties to China long ago! Over 90% of all medicine is imported, same with medical devices, food is imported, etc. This country if cut off from the outside world (China) for goods would end up in complete chaos and people would experience what it was like in the former Soviet Union during it’s collapse. The time for waking people up is over. If you aren’t aware of what’s happening right now then it is what it is.

      10. been following this web site for years. its all comming true. the shit is hitting the fans everyone. been buying ammo for years. in 2019 ,— 1 billion rounds were sold to the general public. i say a minimum of 1000 rounds per gun. train, practice different senarios, dont waste ammo once your guns are all site,ed in. we law abiding gun owners are going to have to defend the country once it gets really bad. god forbid.

      11. This is a double edged sword! On one hand, I’m happy to welcome Americans to exercising their Second Amendment rights, on the other hand, I highly doubt that these left leaning people who are just now exercising their Second Amendment rights and moving to rural America in droves will leave their liberal thinking in the past! They will more than likely turn their new communities into soup sandwiches. I say make them fix their failing cities/communities that they created. Cowards comes to mind when I think of those fleeing the cities they created!
