      1. I had an idea this morning about gift giving. Seems a great way to cut out the Corporate-Christmas is to only buy from secondhand/thrift stores, homemade crafts/food and garage sales. Call it a Peoples Christmas or a “green shoots”. The money saved could be enormous and the money spent goes to the base of the money chain like people in need, charities and such.

      2. I think that’s a fantastic idea.  For the last couple of years, I’ve been giving nieces and nephews silver rounds, along with a discussion about what real money is.  They’re not all old enough to “get it” just yet, but they will.

      3. Brian, definitely a good idea this Christmas. My wife and the kids are making presents for most of the family and friends this year, which is fantastic. It saves us a ton of toilet paper fiat, while getting back to what Christmas gifts are really all about.
