shoeshineboy(Pictured: Shoeshine Boy In New York City Circa 1924)

The anecdote goes that avid investor Joe Kennedy was on his way to work in the winter of 1928 and stopped to have his shoes shined. When the shoeshine boy finished he offered up a tip to Kennedy.

“Buy Hindenburg,” he told the millionaire.

Kennedy soon unloaded most of his holdings. When pressed by friends and associates about his reason for selling, Kennedy quipped:

“You know it’s time to sell when shoeshine boys give you stock tips. This bull market is over.”

Less than a year later stock markets around the world collapsed, leaving tens of millions of people impoverished for decades to come.

Kennedy knew something was wrong when everyone, including a shoeshine boy, was talking about the stock market as some sort of magical money making tree.

While the circumstances today may not be exactly like those of the 1920’s, one can’t help but see the similarities.

And though we don’t know of any shoeshine boys giving stock tips today, the following CNBC segment offers a similar warning of market exuberance and irrationality.  In it, several well known financial pundits discuss a new strategy that can help you generate serious gains.

As we all know it takes money to make money. But where do you get your investment capital?

Take out a loan, of course, because stock market prices, like real estate values, can only go up from here.

Watch below as Bill Griffeth and Kelly Evans host WSJ’s Jonathan Clements and Premier Financial Advisors’ Mark Martiak for a discussion on what we’re calling the car-stock arbitrage wherein you are (literally) encouraged to take out a 7 year loan with a rapidly amortizing asset as collateral in order to buy stocks. (Zero Hedge)

Wall Street Journal financial columnist Jonathan Clements explains how you, too, can make money in a stock market that has reached all-time highs:

I think it’s a reasonable trade-off. You know, borrow at three or four percent and then go up and invest in the stock market. I wouldn’t actually really be that concerned about whether the car is going to depreciate or not. Yeah, we know the car is going to lose half of its value in the first four years…

The question is ‘what is the better financial transaction to do?’

And if you take a holistic view of your finances, yeah you probably want to take out that loan and invest in equities.

    There you have it.

Oh, and when you do get that low interest loan, don’t forget to “Buy Hindenburg.”

      1. Some advisors are ‘just not right’….

You are only as good as the people you listen and act on.
        Scary thought???

        • Water, food, gold, silver, ammo, medications, etc….. Good investments.

          • Check out Cheaper Than Dirt, good buy on old surplus 50BMG ammo. This may be a good investment even if you don’t have a 50BMG. If you think 556 green tip is to small, this maybe just what your looking for. You can bet this is real AP. Trekker Out. Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum!

            • I don’t know a damned thing about the stock market, but “a 7 year loan with a rapidly amortizing asset as collateral” doesn’t sound feasible to me, unless you want to lose your shirt in the end.

It does sound like a boon for the banks who give out the loans, though, when you can’t pay, they get your collateral, is that how it works?

              • “And if you take a holistic view of your finances, yeah you probably want to take out that loan and invest in equities.”

A sure sign the bubble is about to burst. 🙁

              • the only time banksters EVER tell you take out a LOAN to play the stock market is when they are in the final stages of collapse and there is nothing more to do!also look at the fake employment numbers and the couch potato’s are thinking all is well! what a bunch of crap, and the scary part is how many people think all is well.

              • Anyone try to get a “loan” for anything right now?

What bankster in his right? mind would make you a loan without enough collateral to back it up to invest that loan in the stock market? And, as this article seems to suggest, there are American idiots that would risk there last dime on borrowed money put in the stock market? If so, we are a nation of doomed idiots.

This BS subject seems to suggest we have run out of real subject matter.

The brokers suggesting this scheme should be forced to get in line on a balcony on a 21st floor high rise. NEXT!

                • UH OH:

                  “there” last dime

                  “their” last dime

Because the word police are watching…….

                • Look at the declining volume on the DOW over the last 10 years or so. Declining volume on a rising stock market is not normally a good sign. But, the flip side is that globally, money is moving into the US stock market as it is perceived to be a safe haven, considering that most of the rest of the world is on fire in one way or another.

                • Howdy, Granny. I agree there are idiots left and right who would do such a thing. No loans for me for anything, ever!

            • I wouldn’t send those traitorous bastards one thin damn dime. After the shit they pulled during the Sandy Hook Fiasco. In case you have forgotten they were one of the first to stop selling firearms and jacked their ammo and mag prices so high following the shootings all because of some govt and media whining. They are not true supporters of the 2nd amendment.

          • Yup, went to get my weekly handfull of gold eagles today, noticed they started selling .999 copper ounces, they look like big copper buffalos, not sure why but I grabbed a hand full of those too.. I figure raw copper has many uses and when resources run low they might actually have a barter value, also thinking of maybe hammering one out into a sheet, maybe try and make some bronze, just to expand my skills.
            Secret

            • Oops silver eagles, hahahah gold eagle , I wish
              Secret

            • Yep, it’s quite inexpensive and you never know, could be the big buy of the decade (when resources are scarce, of course!)

        • An old axiom is never invest in anything that you
don’t know more about than the other “expert.”

          • My Uncle Joe, dead many years now had a saying.

“The second time you’re kicked by a mule,
            you don’t learn anything.”

            • ‘Fool me once, shame on you.
              Fool me twice, uh…
              – won’t git fooled again.’

              -W

            • People who get investing advice from CNBC are lost souls. They probably keep watching Peanuts waiting for the day when Charlie Brown kicks the football.

        • Where are the fucking jobs?

I am sick and tired of Americans being demeaned and disrespected, offered only menial shit jobs that insult the intelligence and cater to the mediocre and not the achiever in us.

Where the fuck are we going to put all these fucking immigrants that these stupid fucking soccer moms have to have?

Why do we have a government hell bent on putting its boot on the fucking throat of the job providers and then baffled as to why the fucking economy isn’t working?

Why do we have a piece of shit education system that produces worker bees and not dreamers and thinkers?

          WHERE ARE THE FUCKING JOBS?

          • Good question, the answer: Obama was selected by the fascist elites to become prez to do three major things (one of them he has failed to do so far) 1. destroy global trust in the petro-dollar (which was not too hard to do, all it takes is an illegitimate war and some arrogance to piss off other superpowers eg. Russia-China) 2. disarm the American people (and good luck with that, btw) and 3. to push through (or in this case, force through) amnesty to further divide and bankrupt America.

I do believe this has been a rather successful communist takeover to say the least … but remember, we still out-gun them 10-1 and THAT these motherfuckers are afraid of! If worse comes to worse, my recommendation is DO NOT ever cower to gun control, ever – we would be better off dead in that case, trust me.

          • You should have a few dozen green thumbs on this comment, but it doesn’t look like they’re working right now….much like a good percentage of the country…

            • I don’t miss the damn thumbs one bit.

          • Acid; Nobody ever gave anyone a job. you have to go after it and train yourself for the job you want. Do something that people or businesses want and can’t be sent overseas. You don’t solve the problem by paying hamburger flippers 20 bucks an hour because those people will never move up. Who would buy the burger they made? Who could afford it?

            • You make money by solving problems. If you cant solve a problem and make money for your employer he don’t need you. and the destruction of the jobs economy ect. it was all done on purpose. The USA is dying with policy that is equal to death by a thousand cuts.

          • Try using a dictionary and find words that more correctly express your position or concerns, Education and competent use of language are better keys for change both in yourself and those around you.

          • Acid, damn good questions. That’s a great post you made.

          • What are you complaining about? The US economy just reated
            265000 new jobs !!!!

        • Tip: I always carry bear repellent spray in the woods.

A balaclava is better than a cap and gaiter combination in the woods.

A fixed blade is better than a folder in the woods.

I keep animals away by marking the trails I built with my piss and my semen.

That’s right, I build my own fucking trails through the woods. The parks and rec department aint gonna like it.

          Fuck ’em.

          • So…you spend a lot of time out jacking off in the woods? 🙂

            • sorry, I couldn’t resist.

              • He’s a sick individual! He could probably get a job with the government with his “qualifications”.

              • hey now, guys….acid wrote the BOOK on lovemaking!….it was a HANDBOOK, as i recall.

            • And all along we thought it was the Pine Bark Beetles killing all the trees.

            • LMAO!!!

          • Careful Acid, a bear will take you from behind. Stay home and play with yourself, might shock those animals in the woods.

            • I also recommend taking out a loan and buying stocks. Stocks of food and ammo and liberty tools. Hand tools, security equipment, fuel, spare parts, all kinds of good stocks you can buy. Placed out of sight away from your home of course so when they repo your house for non payment you will have all you need. You might also consider stock in a cheap travel trailer with solar power. 🙂

        • Yeah! Listen to eppe. …hmmm…

        • eppe–

Those “mainstream financial experts” should give their hot virgin daughters and a fifth of whiskey to the town bad boys on Friday night. What could possibly go wrong?

        • Hello Eppe,
Hope you are well. This day’s topic reminds me of a strategy or gameplay a male friend of mine told me he uses some 40 yrs ago when I was in my 20’s. I was young and full of Christian values. I thought him to be criminally deceitful and outright immoral. His philosophy was that if someone was stupid enough to lend him money, then it’s their problem to figure out how to collect. Many years later he has claimed bankrupt 3 times. Sent 4 children to college, owns a beachfront home on Cape Cod (not in his name) and collects a maximum amount from the government’s programs.I on the other hand ,put myself thru masters degrees and the teaching and medical field have treated me well. The problem I see is that some times I feel as though I have no pot to pissed in.I wonder sometimes if I had it to do all over again would I borrow more than I could afford and buy Microsoft like I could and should have.
—Take Care – I miss you.
          Miss Dee Dee

        • “Take Out A Loan And Invest In Stock Markets”

Worst advice ever, for you and me anyway. Great for the banksters though so they can own you.

        • The “advisors” have been told by TPTB to round up the heard so they can be totally destroyed financially. Anytime the government tells you to trun left you better go right and vise versa. Our government has been taken over and there is NO rule of law. Get prepared for hard times. Trust in Jesus and not the government.

      2. I only WISH he had a point.

Ever look at the interest rates CD’s are pulling today? You’re bleeding out. Fairly rapidly I might add. Certainly non-trivially so.

So I mean… I see what he’s TRYING to say but this is sort of like wishing more than it is sound advice.

      3. Onr reason i want everything to collapse is so i can see idiots like these financial advisors squirm as they lose ever last dime they own, and then some, only problem is they most likely wont be trying to fly off of highrises like in the big cras.

        • My son was born two days ago – I’m ok with shît collapsing now. Wife’s good , baby is good. Cabin is stocked and ready to go , jeep is fueled up. I guess we are as ready as we can reasonably be now

Best of luck to you when this little party kicks off

          • Wish you the best. I hope your Jeep starts on day two. cheers.

            • Thank you sir , I hope it starts too!!

              • Put a gun in his hands as soon as he starts walking! Give him a nice leather holster to “teeth” on. Congrats.

                • POd you know it man! We are rural Utah folks and guns are a way of life around these parts. My 6 year old shot his first big bore rifle (dads .308) last week and LOVED it. Took the recoil like a man too

                  • Coming to Zion this summer. Plenty of girls walking the trails alone. BWAHAHAHHA.

                    • Acid – regardless of how creep show that comment was , you’ll enjoy ZION canyon. Beautiful down there

Drink lots of water. That desert is no joke

          • Congrat’s CAPTAIN !

            • Thank you!!

          • Cool beans! Congratulations bud,
            Thats the thing,
If it cimes unglued now, rather than later, the younger generations definitely will have a better chance.

            • Oh we are on the same page for sure. On another note Maui is beautiful. Went there when I was 15 and went surfing at Lahaiana (?) beach. I’ll take my little family back one day if things hold together long enough

              • It is a real nice place, verry blessed to live here,
Would be nice to meet if you do get over here,
Enjoy your family, find balance in life, its hard to do

                • Definitely / working on balance daily.

          • Congratulations! Born at home? 😉 enjoy your babymoon….

            • No my wife had scary bleeding with our last son so we opted for the hospital this time

          • Congratulations, Captain!

            • Hey thanks sixpack!!

              • Kudos Captain crunch!

                • Thank you Jim in VA

                  • Captain Crunch:

                    Congrats! What is his name?

                    • Patrick Emet XXXXX

He is so stinking sweet and perfect

                    • Emet? That’s “truth” in Hebrew!

          • Old school Willy’s?

            That would be awesome.

At least chuck a single port fuel injector on it though 🙂

            • Oh man – a Willys is on the list , this one is a 94 YJ. Yeah it’s got electronics and computer etc so I’m going to sell it and buy either a FSJ with an AMC360 or get another 77CJ5 with an AMC304
I love v-8s in a jeep. It’s fun to race some of these souped up diesel pickups and hang with them off the line

              Thank god for jeeps man

              • Got a 90% original 1955 CJ-5. First year they were made. Got a 1947 Ben Hue military trailer to go with it. Won’t do but 47 mph downhill, but will climb a tree. Still got original F head engine and T80 transmission. Runs like a top. Stored in all metal construction building.

          • There’ s nothing like a baby! Congrats!

            • You got that right Buck!! Thank you sir !

      4. Wow – that’s the dumbest “advice” I’ve ever read

        • Ya know what is scary

many of the GDP will go out & do just what these ass clowns say

          • GDP meaning Generally Dumb People?

            • GDP =’s Generally Dumb Public

        • When I read the title on the main menu, I thought it was one of those quirky jokes. I couldn’t beleive some can say that with a straight face.

        • CC: Congratulations, and by July he will be helping you check your wells and by this time next year he’ll be changing out stuffing box rubbers. Keep them going up and down.

          • Lol you know it !! Little pumper in training

      5. Why anyone would be into the market in the first place is beyond my comprehension. your totally dependent on some c.e.o / person to do the right thing amongst other forces. Personally I prefer tangible things like gold silver guns and ammo land is always good too. If I cant touch it feel it see it or use it every day its probably not a very good idea to purchase it. No way in hell will I go into debt for a piece of paper/ promise!!!

        • I did real well investing and bailed out in Feb 2007. I did not realize the capacity of the banking establishment to re-inflate that balloon. I missed a huge rise. That being said its way too late now to get back in except in limited amounts and for very short periods.

      6. I remember a bunch of idiots doing this with houses a few years ago. Buying houses on interest only loans. Some we’re even bumping the value of the house to take a second mortgage for a down payment on a house they couldn’t afford. In addition banksters were loaning to any shitbag with a heartbeat and then cried they were to big to fail. Then I remember them crying the houses we’re being taken away for non-payment after prices collapsed 50 – 70% and somehow MY taxes were to be used to pay for their houses and bad loans. I’m sure bailout will be the word of the day after this as well. I miss America.

      7. Buying stocks on credit and leverage were two of the root causes of the crash of 1929.

“Those that do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it”.

        • Borrow money and invest in the stock market. Isn’t that what hedge funds do?

      8. Sure, get ya in deep debit, pass a law stating those in debit must report to your nearest FEMA camp for work to pay off the debit…Its a win win for the aholes….and just who was it that said we MUST earn a living?? Earn from who? God maybe, but not some physco…Life is a gift…a freebie if you will.

      9. oh I’m investing alright

but I’m taking David Stockman’s advice

“”people need to buy ANYTHING that Ben Bernanke cannot destroy. I would highly recommend buying Gold, bottled water, and canned goods”.

      10. that’s just wrong…

;0( the sad thing is some poor gentile goyim sucker of a Darwin Award Winner will do just as he advises!

wrecking his life as a zog amerikan tax debt slave and potentially his family economic future.

this is wrong at so many levels.

      11. Why would I take out a loan and invest in the lottery the odds are stacked against me. Fuck em all I’m gonna stay debt free and keep my $. When it crashes and it’s time to rebuild then my $ will come out I will buy property and whatever I can resell later for pennies on the dollar. When it all crashes down average folks will do well the market barons are fucked right now they want you to get a loan and go in and bail them out no thanx. I worked and got a weekly paycheck while they were gambling to get the payroll for their employees. Who’s the smart one now ha. I did the right thing by not having any costly habits and hoarding $ and supply’s. Good luck suckers.

      12. “Seven year auto loan”

        HOLYCOW!
I need to buy a new work truck this year , i cannot imagine payin for seven years !
Damn thing would need replacing before it was paid for.
Ever try to find one with rubber floors and manual windows , vinyl seats ?
I just dont know how someone can spend 50k on a work truck, and who needs all the gadgets anyway , its just another damn tool !

Talk about bad investments , theres one .

        • Hey Hammer…. I picked up a real nice, super clean 07′ GMC 2500HD with a 6.0L back in 2011’… Only had 17k miles… Hard bed cover, aftermarket aluminum wheels. Got it for less than a quarter of a new one. Manual windows, manual door locks, rubber floors no carpet. Cold ass a/c and nice stereo.

Dealer told me that the thing is, nobody wants a truck like this because it lacks the lack of creature comforts.

I told him I was ok with it… He found that amusing. I then told him how I found it amusing that there were so many dumbasses out there willing to pay 50k to 60k for a truck made in Mexico!

          GM Silao Plant

          Guanajuato, Mexico

          20° 56.914′, -101° 23.057′

Google it if you don’t believe me!

        • This is why vehicles now cost so much. I guarantee that they would be half the price and just as good if you could only buy with cash. Financing has been one of the worst things people have learned to do. Just like school loans. Eliminate school loans, and the cost of college goes way down. Anyone who borrows money is paying for the privilege of allowing someone else to sit on their fat ass and produce nothing.

        • I just bought a “new” truck recently. I bought a 92 dodge dakota 4×4, everything works except the radio and I don’t listen to it anyway. $1200 cash. Runs great, shift on the fly 4×4 works no problem, and plus it just looks like a truck that has actually been used for real work.

With my “new” truck, like most of my tools, I consider the tool itself and the time it took to learn how to use them the investment. Maintenance is another good investment, though my ROI was probably highest on the beer I bought my buddy who was an auto-mechanic.

      13. Another potential investment, i would take some advice on.
        I’m lookin at a KelTec sub 2000 in 9mm.
It folds in the middle for storage and i thought it would be a good addition to my get home bag.
Anyone got experience with this gun ?

        • Mossberg 500 JIC with pistol grip and 16″ bbl
          Way cheaper, way more effective

          • Wont fit in my bag and the 9mm is same caliber as pistol.
Thats kinda why i,m lookin at it , 500 bucks.

            • for a get home bag…

suggest you go with a 6in. .357 revolver w/ shoulder holster and 5 speed loaders.

And a .357/.38 pocket 2in. snubby revolver w/pocket holster sleeve.

gives you options and surprise if attacked or weapon failure.

you don’t want to show your carrying until necessary or you will draw weapons fire and hostiles to you if carrying in the open.

            • hh, go with the 9mm Hornady critical duty 135gr.+P. Make sure first that your handgun will tolerate the higher pressure. On another note I’ve got a mini-14 (stainless) bought a Butler Creek folding stock and put it on. OAL with stock normal is 37.25 inches. Folded is 28 inches. Don’t know if that’ll help you. Very nice and light.

            • Ah, got it, 500 is not bad either, my get home bag just has a 45 1911 in it, used to keep the 500 behind the seat in the truck but sold it and got a 590, longer mag, and iron sights

          • Mossberg 500 JIC with pistol grip and 16″ bbl

            It’s 18.5″

        • If I were looking at the 9mm caliber of carbines, and on a limited budget, I’d first look at the Hi Point.

They are ugly, really ugly, and the only thing they really have going for them is extreme dependability and ruggedness and such combined with low price (300 dollar range or less new if you shop a bit and I’ve seen used sometimes go for a bit over a hundred).

But they are ugly, and no one wants (to shoot something with) an ugly gun.

You could also get a high point 9mm pistol to go with it if you want, the carbine mags will fit the pistol but the pistol mags don’t fit the carbine because they’re too short.

          But those are ugly too.

Of course, if you shoot someone with one in a total SHTF defensive situation you don’t have to tell anyone what you used, and you can always keep it out of the sight of your friends at the rifle range and such if you don’t end up in that situation.

So if you only want the best high reliability firearm for the price and don’t want to worry about getting it dinged and grundged up since it won’t make it look much worse anyway go the High Point, but if you’ve got plenty of money the Beretta CX4 and corresponding full size pistol (compact mags are too short) and you have something you can brag about, keep safely in a case where it will stay pretty and proudly show off – and all for only a little over twice the price.

FWIW, I’m not a KelTech fan but I’ve only owned a pistol and its ergonomics were wrong for me (It did work well enough though). I don’t like that folding idea, seems like something that, at best, delays getting it into action in an emergency situation and complicates things since it can’t be fired from a folded position.

          • This gun is for survival , not my first choice for anything really except just to have a firearm with me that dont require government permission.
If i gotta walk 30 miles home i dont want a handgun and i dont want a cannon , so , if i can determine that KelTec stuff is reliable , i would buy it.
Lightweight and folds to (i think) 16in .
So its a good bag gun .

            • HammerHead–>

Bought mine about 6years ago…mainly ‘cuz my wife loved it & it was on sale!!!
Have put thousands of rds. thru it w/o problems..it devours everything from 115gr.FMJ to 147gr.HP..however, it “does NOT LIKE” cheap mags..mine is a Glock version, so I stick w/ Glock magazines. IMO…she’s a keeper!

              Hope this helps…

            • Ruger has a nice 10/22 breakdown model in .22 cal. Great in the backpack.Rugged gun and accurate.

              • Loved the ruger takedown so much I now have 3, for the oldest three kids. We are adjacent to BLM property and the kids take them with them all the time in the packs that come with them when they go hiking and exploring through the woods down by the river.

                I’ll second what Jim said.

              • Got a 10/22 takedown in the BOB and a springield xd 9mm for belt. I prefer xd’s as they fit my hands better than anything else out there.

            • do not buy a kel-tec POS guns I have owned 3 of the p-11 all 3 failed all so I have had more of these in the guns in varies models in the shop for repairs than I can count

          • “and no one wants (to shoot something with) an ugly gun.”

If I have to shoot something, I couldn’t care less what my gun looks like. An ugly gun kills just as fast as a pretty one.

          • You should be using a revolver.

          • Kids and wife all have both carbine and pistol from HP with backups for canibalization. Have never had a malfunction and we shoot a lot. Fired dirty – fired clean – fired cheap ammo – fired top shelf. Extra pairs in boat and trucks ditto for each having a backup revolver. Former 101st Airborne and not a gun snob although I’m a 45/308 kinda guy it helps with me keeping them all knowledgeable of what they fire and comfortable/interchangeable. I have never had an issue with the single keltec 9 in the box – it loads out easily – boyo says he looks cool with it and its primary focus is throwing lead – it does that. Gut tells me to step up preps – the 8th Blood moon since crucification? 1st day of Jewish holy calendar – 20 Mar eclipse usually means judgement? Stock market – Oscrewme and his cronies- illegals-sand rats- Nothing makes sense to me any longer. No logic. Let it happen while I’m still young enough to be an asset to my family.

        • Its a good choicr especilly for ghb . Is it the glock version

        • I’ve got one, Glock mag model. It fits in my GHB along with my 17 and some other stuff in case it takes longer than 12 hours to get home.
          Shoots good, too !

          • YEP ,CHUCK , Glock model so it will accept the same magazines as handgun.
I dont always carry the handgun because i prefer a rifle.
I like the way it folds in half in the middle for storage in my bag which i have with me 24/7 .
It will replace a henry ar7 that just loves to malfunction and its hard to get 22lr these days.
S , maybe i will trade in the henry for the keltec .

            • hammerhead – I’ll have about an 18 mile trek; with a major retail area right in the middle.
Plan is to wear a loose shirt (warm weather) or coat to conceal the folded and slung Sub 2K. A little practice and you can have it unfolded & ready to rock in just a few seconds. You’ll need to ID your threat early!

            • also look at getting an ar-15 pistol with an x-mag that will get ya home

        • hammerhead, I have the sub 2k in 40cal and it uses the Glock 22 mags and the Asian hi-cap mags. Couldn’t be more pleased; It loves everything I feed it, it’s accurate and reliable and fun to shoot. Get the 9mm and I’m sure you’ll be pleased. I pair mine with my XD40, a good combo.

        • I have that sub2k, takes glock 17 mags. The 31 round mag works great! The front sight is not great. I hear that others change out to an aftermarket. It is a terrific compliment to my glocks 17,19,and 26.

I had TOO much fun and blew a lot of different kinds of ammo through it. SOOO easy to blow a bunch of cash on 9mm.Good FUN! No issues.

Besides fitting in a pizza box when folded up, it feels compact when you shoot it. I got it for my wife. Easy to point and shoot, little recoil. Perfect for my petite wife.

I don’t know how easy they are to find. The 40 s&w are more common, I think. I saw the glock9mm version at a pawn shop last week. $349 ask. I paid $250 (new in box)at a gun show 3+ years ago.

I do not regret my purchase.

          • Joining the ranks as well..
have had the sub 2k for 3 years now(9mmGlock17 version) and love it..
best replace the front site, and rear, though with either Tandemkross or Red Lion iron sights …
RedLion Precision has top rated replacement parts as well

Aluminum have a tendency to stove point..stick with brass.

            Enjoy

            possee

            • Aluminum have a tendency to STOVE PIPE(JAM WHEN LOADING)…stick with brass.

          • Thanks all , for the reviews.
I knew i would get my questions answered here !

        • Had one in .40… Shot ok… Not something I’d stake my life on… felt real cheap to hold… One good drop on the grip and you’d be screwed… Way too “toy” feeling. Couldn’t even use it to beat someone over the head if it did break!!! Might be good for out in the bush as a food gatherer.

I ended up buying a JR Carbine in .40 instead… ambidextrous bolt… Nice for a lefty like me!
          Shoots straight and feels nice.

Only draw back is not having a last shot bolt open feature… You have to manually cycle the bolt back to lock position to swap mags. Not a problem if you run the 31 rnd Glock mags like me!

      14. Hoard and hide it I say don’t take a loan. I will go without before I take a loan. When I buy a car it’s new and I don’t get a loan. The sales man says where do you want your payments monthly to be. I say what rebates going on now he says do I have a trade I tell him maybe. They know right then I’m not fucking getting it in the ass. I’m not making payments on a car. I want all the rebates too and then we will talk trades. If they try to tell me the price is different if I have a trade I say have nice day. When you have the $ you have to let them know who’s calling the shots . There are probably 50 new car dealers around here. That’s a lot of sales managers. Maybe when the economy collapses I will get a new truck. I’m gonna kick them when they are down. They do it to us daily price gouging and shit. Don’t help the market survive.

        • A H, The best time I’ve found to buy is in the fall when their trying to get rid of the previous year inventory. you get the best of the rebates ect. may not be the color you want being a left over but H.T.F.C…

        • Ass Hat.

Kick them a few extra times for me.

        • Great idea’s when buying a new car. As a joke I sold cars for a few months. The only ones who came into the dealership with the idea of paying cash was two brothers from India. They were smart and wanted the car in the paper for $9,999.00 . Every other person buying a car was only interested in one thing. What’s the monthly payment. They didn’t even care what the price of the car was. What morons. The finance manager promised a 15% interest rate but when the customer singed the paperwork it was 21%. What a rip off scam artist new car dealerships can be. I sold a $50,000 SUV my first day and was paid nothing. Now I hate salesmen.

      15. BASEBALL

Barack and Michelle are at the baseball game sitting in
the first row with the Secret Service seated directly behind them.

One of the Secret Service agents leans forward and says something to
        the president.

Barack stares at the agent, looks at Michelle, looks back at the
agent, and shakes his head no.

The agent then says, “Mr. President, it was a request from the team
owner who is a big campaign contributor and the fans will love it”!
So, Barack shrugs and says, “Well, if it will help my poll numbers.”

He gets up, grabs Michelle by her collar and the seat of her pants,
and tosses her right over the railing into the field.
        She gets up kicking, screaming and swearing. The crowd goes wild;
        cheering, applauding, and high-fiving.

Barack is bowing and smiling, and leans over to the agent and says
“You were right. I would have never believed that”!

Noticing the agent has gone totally pale, Barack asks what is wrong.
The agent replies, “Sir, I said they wanted you to throw out the
        first pitch”!

        • Funny…..Thanks Copperhead!

      16. No matter what you invest in, first think about the return *of* your investment before thinking about the return on it.

One born a minute, all that sort of stuff comes into play here.

      17. No such thing as a 16″ barrel(on a mossberg) unless you cut 2 inches of of it. Which would be really stupid.

Get out of debt is the only action anyone should be taking.

            • Sgt Dale: Very sorry to hear that. 73 years is a long time. But they are in a better place. Just whenever you get a chance zip me your new address.

It is interesting how some folks go so close together, truly lucky and is a sign of true love.

      19. It is a dangerous time to go into more than 50 dollars in debt!!! pay cash or pay off that card every month everyone on this site knows that this is nonsense so I have to ask why put this article up at all NO learning curve here.

      20. Unless the Federal Reserve is loaning you money at zero percent interest, and you’re buying US Treasury bonds with it, borrowing money to invest in anything is not a prudent move.

Anybody that suggests you borrow money to invest in stocks probably has a far greater interest in the commission than in your well being.

      21. I know a few people who invested in the commodity markets. They all lost every penny they put in. They all lost around 30 grand or that’s all they will admit to.

      22. Pecker I got the lcr 357 double action it’s smooth as butter I tell you. Love the gun ruger quality you can shoot it through your pocket how’s that for surprise. Play the unarmed man get close to your enemy then open them up see what they had for breakfast. I really don’t want some guys guts all over me though. This piece is my favorite. it’s just the perfect piece. Nice shooter too the trigger is super smooth it’s got some new fire control design. if you like snubs go to the gun store and fondle one you won’t be disappointed. They sell a tritium front sight blade on amazon I don’t have it yet. I spent enough for the gun IMHO. I you get one I don’t think you will ever sell it. I’m not selling mine it’s a keeper. No hammer on the DAO model. I know some guys have to have it. I like it without . It’s a close up and personal last ditch kind of gun. Cost me$550 total blackened stainless frame and wheel hogue grip. The 38 model is aluminum frame a few grams lighter. If that’s your style. Think costs less too. I suggest a varied battery to cover all situations if you can afford it .

        • @ah

lol ;0) you really do love that revolver!

          yep, totally agree with you.

          ;0)

      23. Anyone interested in Montgomery Ward stock? I’ll take 3 points for a commission. A former Fortune 500 company, well positioned for our burgeoning economy. Look at 50 yr old chain link fences, and they say “WARDS”. I hear they have an impending contract with Halliburton for FEMA camps.

      24. Not only is this advice disturbing, it’s plain outright insane.
Sad thing is, some people will take this lame advice only if a bank is willing to loan them the money for this bad investment.

I look at it this way. If someone does not have the money to play this fools game, then don’t bother attempting to find a way to get in it.

“We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.” — Benjamin Franklin

        • Just remember T M, YOU CANT FIX STUPID!!!!!

      25. What is the definition of BROKER? What you become after heading their advice.

      26. I have never seen a broker that agreed to work for a percentage of the money they made for their clients.

      27. My in laws, the believe everything you see on CNN types had a good deal of money invested in stocks and lost a chunk of it back in 2008. It never even taught them lesson, they continue investing. If Only I had the amount of money they have, I would have invested it in gold and material goods.

        • Same here Mountain , they believe what the talking heads say is solid gold , unblemished truth .
The old ways dont apply to a corrupt system, and they wont let themselves believe that it is corrupt.

      28. 1) what bank are these investors speaking of??
I have NEVER heard of anyone getting a car loan at 3/4 %.

        EVER!!!

      29. Take out a LOAN to gamble in the crapshoot stock market?! Hahahahaha.

What’s the best way to make a million dollars in the stock market? Start with ten million.

I’m pretty fond of wheel weights myself.

      31. I’ve had my financial investment and insurance licenses since 1993, and what they are suggesting is not only unethical and immoral, but was illegal if it isn’t still. There is NEVER a reason to capitalize debt to put into the investment market. My clients and I avoided the “corrections” of 2000 and 2008, and believe me when I tell you that those market “shifts” were nothing compared to what is on the horizon today. If you cannot actively manage your investments on a daily basis, I recommend getting out of the market completely while the “getting is good.”

      32. This is such assinine advice. David Stockman and Paul Craig Roberts, both of whom worked in Reagan’s administration contradict this advice. I used to be a stock broker for Fidelity Investments from 87 to 92. I’ve had a personal conversation with Edward C Johnson and actually met Ronald Reagan. I was involved in both politics and investments back in those ‘glory’ days.

I am telling you right now that the system is entirely rigged. When they invalidated Glass-Steagall during the Clinton Administration, the future for where we are today was borne out of those years.

Let’s be clear in this for a moment; Alan Greenspan, at the behest of the big banks, lobbied vigorously for this change in the law. Al Gore sold it to Congress, and our so-called ‘consevative’ friend, Newt Gingrich was all for is as well.

Wallstreet loves the Clintons. Elizabeth Warren, the Fauxcahantis from Boston, gets a lot of her money from Wallstreet as well. I don’t need to ‘follow the money’ to understand this.

At the top, we have a fascist government (Corpratist as Mussolini called it) and at the bottom, we have communist proclivities.

We, the middle class average patriotic Americans, those of us who fund all this bullshit, are getting marginalized. Neither political party gives a shit about us. They’re both owned by the same corporations…as are the entire MSM, including Fox News.

        • 50% reduction in sperm counts since WW2 and fluoride in the water led to political correctness stupidity and indifference.

I couldn’t agree more with fascism at the top and communism for the masses and the demise of Glass-Steagall and our current state of affairs.

I have made some $$$ jumping in and out of very selective stocks since bailing out in 07. For example SWHC (Smith & Wesson) recently climbed almost 50% in 3 months.

      33. Those cats pushing loans and buying stocks must think we are all a bunch of stupid mofos.

Stocks are an insiders game. If you are not a member of the inner circle that knows what’s going to happen before it happens you would be wise to stay far far away. Better to spend your extra money on skill acquisition & education. Depending on where you are, income producing real estate might make sense as long taxes are reasonable. Hard for a crook to put a rent house in his/her pocket and walk off with it. Push comes to shove you could always live in it.

For town, the Ruger SR22 is very light weight and carrying extra rounds is a breeze. Smack a zombie in the forehead with 40 grains of hot lead that’s cruising along at 900 feet per second will soon have that zombie looking for easier prey. As long as you are not in bear country, when in the outback it’s hard to beat a Ruger SP101 chambered for the mighty .357 magnum. Long arms are heavy and easy to spot. Fine if you plan on a firefight in which case you probably won’t be around for very long anyway.

      35. A WARNING FROM A RECENT RETIRED PIG

I retired from being a 25 year police officer 2 years ago. Even back then, I had a ID card(smart card) that said the city I worked for but it was not issued by the city, It was a Federal ID card with all my police and Military training on the card and all that data was on file with the FBI. I was told that in case of an emergency, we could be called up to quell any civil unrest in the country. The FEDS would pay our salaries, provide transportation and housing.
Plus all our rules regulations and policies must conform to either IACP International Assoc of Chiefs of Police Assoc. standards or “CALEA” Commission on Accreditation Law Enforcement standards, so we must be Internationally certified accredited. These are international standards, so any foreign police commander can come (take over) and fully familiar with all policies very quickly.

The truth is we have already been not only Federalized but internationalized.

      36. Elizabeth warren ha I remember her campaign in mass idiot for sure she lies big time IMHO. All the politicians in NE are super corrupt I’ve lived here my whole life. Forget the market investing it’s an unstable thing. You will lose it will be like walking in on a murder in progress you will be a victim too. Bastards lying to people to get them to take a loan and invest in a broke down market. These big time market moguls are losing the game they are such scumbags that they want to take naive people with them. Ha speaking of shit bags curt schilling is on fox talking about cyber bullying this guy had a video game firm the state of Rhode Island took fund from economic development to the tune of $87 million schilling never made 1 payment back then filed bankrupt. The state told the tax payers that they had to pay it back or their bond rating would be down graded. The new stupid governess put people like me on the hook for it. I have a job but there are family’s that are hurting. $ that was for Economic development. These fucking assholes screwed the residents of Rhode Island. I fucking hate all of them. I told you New England politicians are corrupt. Our prior governor chafee was a moron. His son threw a party at their home in Jamestown RI. People left drunk troopers picked him up never heard about it again. It was squashed you can bet. Schilling talked about bullying he didn’t mention his company bullying the taxpayers of the state. Shame on Fox News for putting this criminal on tv. 87 million could do a lot for jobs in the state with the highest unemployment in the country. They are very liberal with giving out free shit though. It’s all part of the plan to make everyone gov dependent. Fuck them all don’t give them a dime. They are not doing the right thing for the people they serve. I hate this state and I’m moving selling my house that I own not the bank and I’m taking my $ somewhere else been looking. They can have their nanny state gov. I’m not gonna be kept down. It’s been snowing everyday and I know the economy is getting a black eye. People are not going out the roads are not wide enough to pass oncoming traffic. When the quarters economic numbers come out they are gonna suck. I’ve been in the house for two months. I’m not the only one so the numbers are gonna reflect it. Good I hope it keeps snowing thru April too. Anything to hurt them in the wallet. I just took $172 a month away from the state for a medical support order they had on me I paid $86 a month for about 8 years. They subpoenaed me to court I told judge I’m gonna put my kids on my works medical it’s free. They had no choice but to let me as long as I provide medical support for them. They can’t get $ from the useless eaters but they have to provide medical insurance for the children of the state. People the gov don’t know what the fuck they are doing they are going down bide your time. If your hurting just hang in there it won’t be long it looks like the states are going to federal gov to fill the shortfalls. The fed gov is broke too. Where they gonna go next. Can’t get blood from a stone.

      37. Hey peckerwood I wouldn’t answer the phone if they called and I had retired. Fuck them you did your service and retired. You don’t owe them shit. They will get you killed and you won’t get to live out your golden years. Keep the snub with you it’s a good companion.

      38. Glock 22 with high cap mags good bag gun. 40cal everybody has what they like I like to see what others put their faith in. I don’t believe in a best gun. Everyone’s different and most guns nowadays are good due to modern manufacturing. Only seen hi point in magazines same thing with keltec no fans of these around here. 1911 desert eagles, glocks, m& p. Ruger and smiths for revolvers have seen Taurus too. I was looking at keltec sub 2000 in 40 cal uses glock mags. But when I’ve looked online for them they are sold out. They seem to expensive to me too.

      40. Nobody should go near the stock market unless it is their full-time job and they are apprenticing at JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs etc. It is run by insiders and you will never get the better of them. You will just be pumped and dumped and left by the side of the investing road.

Speculative investments are for speculators. It is nothing but high-stakes gambling. The best advice for the ordinary person is to stay out of debt and acquire solid assets that could be sold or used to make income if necessary.

      46. Jim Willie: Something Big Is About To Happen (Video)

Jim Willie sums it up very well, the world debt can never be sustained. The breaking point is near.

As you will see at the 6:15 mark, the US Treasury market is collapsing, 16:00 minute mark, the big western banks are being rated at junk status.

Near the end of this interview Jim makes it clear there is something very big going on, pay attention and be prepared.

the Miraculous Medal is a good way to protect you and all family members. It is very porular for a lot of german and french christians. Use Google and check it.
I do allways have the Medal with me.
Especially in this times, it is a “MUST HAVE” item.

      48. The labor force participation rate in the US has just dropped to 62.8%. The lowest since 1978. I remember the great recession of the late ’70’s. Today you can get an auto loan for 7 years. Part time, temporary, low paid workers don’t buy homes. The next real estate crash is beginning. The auto industry is close to collapsing. Slowly we turn, step by step, inch by inch….

      49. 12 hours for mine to be moderated I’ve been posting here for a few months now. You think they would know by now I’m not some web bot. Maybe they are deciding if my content is safe for the public to read censorship at it finest. Or maybe shtf plan is reporting me to the gov. Whatever I don’t lie and fabricate bullshit story’s about the gov. Everything I say is facts as I’ve experienced it. Whatever I expect it nowadays with the gov controlling the internet.

        • AH, try using an email address (even a fake one) and it should make it easier to have your posts auto-approved.

We’re working on a user login system that will allow logged in users auto-approved comments without moderation… not sure of time frame here, so please go with the email address thing i mentioned above.

For those with delayed comments in the last 12 hours or so: My apologies — had some family-related events that needed to be attended and couldn’t get to the moderation queue.

          Thanks,

      50. I inherited some farm ground a few yrs ago and I’m surprised at how many people are giving me advice on what to do with that little bit of ground, which is sell it and put the money in the stock market ( including my wife, she is a city girl ). My finanical instructors was my parents. both were products of the stock market crash of 29, the dirty 30’s ww2 and started farming in the early 50’s with very little. Their advice was, control your own money, don’t let somebody else do it for you. We ( I ) still have the farm when a lot of people that I grew up with had their farms sold out by the bank or whoever. Mom and Dad always managed their money and very few payments plans if they couldn’t help it. Sorry guys, get a loan and put it in the stock market, you gotta be kidding, your “bleeping ” nuts to do that .

      53. Stocks pumped up via companies buying back their own shares raising prices so company executives can sell their ownership in those same companies at inflated prices thanks to the buybacks. Also, a large chunk of shares (50%?)were bought up by the big banking institutions. Now that stock prices are high the executives and bankers are looking for a bag holder. It appears that they have instructed their media lackeys to start pushing the idea of borrowing money to buy the market into the minds of the sheeple. If you don’t know who the bag holder is, you’re it.

If you believe it’s a good idea to buy this market you either think that prices are cheap and will go up and that you have the ability to intuitively divine the next top so you can sell to an even greater fool or you believe that you can make more money in this market versus other options.

Some are focused on the return OF their capital rather than a return ON their capital. As Richard Russell likes to say there is nothing more valuable than piece of mind.

      54. A friend of mine said he’s thinking about getting into the stock market. Of course I advised him against it, but he seemed to dismiss it, because I’m just a female, and not a rich one, so what do I know? This is the same guy who told me he was thinking about buying some gold, when it was around $1900 an ounce. I advised him against that too at that time. I should start using him as a contra-indicator like the shoeshine boy.
