If you happen to be living under a rock, then you may not know that President Barrack Obama won this year’s Nobel Peace Prize. Forget about the other nominees who actually contributed to world peace – people like Greg Mortenson. Rick Blaine, a regular contributor to SHTFplan.com had some thoughts on the matter and has given me permission to reprint his email:

Please post something about Obama winning the Nobel so I can vent about it.

It IS a sign that the S is HTF.

In all seriousness – it is a sign of just how much of a farce “we” (the people of Earth) have become.

Don’t get me wrong – it is, at least in SOME ways, good for us as a country, as it associates us with “peace.”  However, it takes no more than a 4 year-old to see it for what it really is – just more political BS.

…and Obama knows it – and I think he’s even embarrassed by it to some degree…I give him credit for that much.

For the love of god – Reagan ended the Cold War, took down the USSR, and brought down the Berlin Wall.  No Nobel.

Even Bush, for all his faults, even accomplished more “good” in his time than Obama has thus far – just Google “George W. Bush Africa.”

I’m not saying Bush should have won one – I’m just saying that is it pure nonsense that Obama won this year…but like I said, I give him credit for seemingly acknowledging it.
