Trump Threatens To “Blow Up” Oman
United States ruler Donald Trump has threatened to attack and “blow up” Oman if it doesn’t “behave.” Should Oman attempt to seize control of the Strait of Hormuz, which has effectively been closed since the US and Israel launched attacks against Iran in February, the US would be willing to attack its own ally, Trump said.

At 5 pm on Monday, 29 September, Taliban authorities cut the country’s fibre-optic backbone, reducing internet and mobile connectivity to less than 1% of normal operations, according to internet watchdog NetBlocks. The UN has called for services to be restored immediately, warning of severe economic and humanitarian risks.
