Humanity never seems to learn. During the 20th century, at least 108 million people were killed during all wars combined, and you would think that after so much bloodshed humanity would never want to go down that road again. And in this century, an enormous amount of American blood has already been shed in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere. Unfortunately, the drumbeats of war are starting to get louder once again. Very angry talk often precedes military conflict, and right now there sure is a lot of angry talk going on.

Before we get to the U.S., let’s talk about India and Pakistan. They are both nuclear powers, and thanks to a horrific terror bombing last month, they are once again on the verge of war

Pakistan’s prime minister offered to hold talks with India, even as he warned New Delhi to refrain from launching any attacks on his country following last week’s suicide bombing in Indian-controlled Kashmir.

Imran Khan said he hoped “better sense” would prevail after the attack on a paramilitary convoy that killed at least 40 Indian troops. But he warned in a televised speech Tuesday that if India attacks, “Pakistan will not merely think of retaliation, but rather, we will retaliate.”

In fact, it is being reported on Twitter that Pakistan has even “begun its logistics preparations for possible war with India”…

: Pakistan has begun its logistics preparations for possible war with India, has put hospitals along the frontier on stand-by mode –

Of course most Americans don’t even know that this is happening.

Sadly, the truth is that most Americans couldn’t even point out where Pakistan and India are on a blank map of the world.

But Americans should at least be concerned that the U.S. could soon be entering a new war. President Trump has repeatedly threatened to use the U.S. military in Venezuela if the Maduro government does not step down peacefully, and that is definitely not going to happen.

In fact, Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino had said that if the U.S. wants regime change in his country, they are going to have to do it “over our dead bodies”…

Trump has refused to rule out US military action in Venezuela. He raised the pressure on Monday, issuing a warning to the Venezuelan military.

He told them that if they continue to support Maduro, ‘you will find no safe harbor, no easy exit and no way out. You will lose everything.’

Padrino rejected Trump’s threat, branding the US president ‘arrogant.’

If foreign powers try to help install a new government by force, they will have to do so ‘over our dead bodies,’ Padrino said.

And could it be possible that U.S. troops are already being positioned for an invasion of Venezuela? That is exactly what Cuba is claiming

Cuba said Wednesday that the U.S. is secretly moving special forces closer to Venezuela as part of a plan to practice military adventurism in the country under the guise of “humanitarian intervention.”

In a release from Granma, the Cuban government’s official press, Havana officials say that between Feb. 6 and 10 there has been military transport from the U.S. to Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and other Caribbean nations without the knowledge of those countries.

Of course the U.S. is claiming that Cuba already has troops inside Venezuela and is helping to prop up the Maduro regime. And that is probably true. So if the U.S. decides to invade Venezuela, we could find ourselves fighting a war with Cuba also.

In addition, John Bolton is talking as if regime change is on the agenda for Nicaragua too. Just check out what he just posted on Twitter…

The Ortega regime has sentenced three farm leaders to 550 years in prison for their roles in protests in 2018, where Ortega’s police forces reportedly killed 300 activists. As President Trump said Monday, Ortega’s days are numbered and the Nicaraguan people will soon be free.

And previously Bolton had collectively referred to Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba as “the Troika of Tyranny”

The US has repeatedly backed the uprising against the left-wing government, and last November Bolton made a keynote speech calling for the “crumbling” of what he called the “Troika of Tyranny” – Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba – saying the states represented a “a sordid cradle of communism in the Western hemisphere.”

On Monday, Trump name-checked the same three countries, saying their “great potential” would be unlocked with the collapse of socialism.

On top of everything else, Russian President Vladimir Putin is warning that U.S. that we could soon be facing “a Cuban Missile-style crisis”

Vladimir Putin has said that Russia is militarily ready for a Cuban Missile-style crisis – if Donald Trump is is ‘foolish’ enough to want one – and that his missiles could reach the US faster that theirs could hit Moscow.

Putin has said he does not want an arms race with the United States, but that he would have no choice but to act if Washington deployed new missiles in Europe, some of which he says would be able to strike Moscow within ten to 12 minutes.

When I hear people call President Trump “a Russian asset”, I just have to laugh.

Our relations with the Russians are going downhill very rapidly, and Trump and Putin are much more likely to start World War 3 than they are to sit down and have a beer together.

And the Russians continue to prepare for the coming war with the United States by creating impressive new weapons systems. For example, they just completed tests on a new intercontinental nuclear torpedo known as “the Poseidon”

The 24 m long UUV armed with a nuclear warhead is designed to navigate autonomously with a maximum speed of 107 kt and detonate near an enemy coastal city, generating a tsunami wave, Russian state media reported.

“On its way to a target, ‘Poseidon’ will be able to avoid and overcome any anti-submarine barriers and other enemy defence systems due to the fully automated operating system. All together, the intellectual and performance characteristics of the vehicle will make it invulnerable and secure a guaranteed target destruction,” an unnamed defence industry source told Russian state media.

We do not have a similar weapon, and we have absolutely no way to defend against it.

We live at a time of “wars and rumors of wars”, and over the last several decades the nations of the world have armed themselves to the teeth with weapons of mass destruction that would have been unimaginable in previous eras of human history.

We literally have the technology to wipe ourselves off the face of the planet, and let us pray that cooler heads prevail before it is too late.

Well, what caused the Cuban Missile Crisis? NATO had put Jupiter missiles in Turkey that were threatening them, so they put missiles in Cuba. Calmer heads prevailed.

Why do you think billions were invested by Russia and China in Venezuela? They latched on stolen oil that had been built by US corporations and then planned naval and military bases. And they loan the Venezuelan goverenment money that they presumed they could not repay. Their goal was to seize ports…and they had planted their flags there.

Meanwhile we accept any old nation to join NATO when we have been paying 70% of the bills. It was so out of control that we had spent over the entire current US annual budget over the last decade. That was insane.

The Ukraine is but the latest fiasco and Germany and nutty Macaroni in France are trying to build an all EU military. When they cannot even muster reliable troops and working equipment like fighter jets. The Germans and French DO NOT want conscription.

  2. Chris says:

The US meddling in another oil rich country, what a coincidence.

Meanwhile no one is talking about William Barr the new Trump appointed attorney general.

The Ruby Ridge white washer, who helped draft the assault weapons ban of 1989 and the crime act of 1990. Who thinks the Patriot act should be expanded, who also is in favor of magazine bans and is already talking about nationwide Red Flag laws.

But who cares, right? At least he aint a Democrat.

Vicki Weaver was murdered by an FBI sniper Aug 22, 1992 at Ruby Ridge, Idaho. This was after armed Federal agents had already shot and murdered her son Sammy 14 in the back and his dog Striker.

An attorney defended and sought immunity for the FBI snipers because holding a sniper liable would “severely undermine, if not cripple, the ability of future attorneys general to rely on such specialized units in moments of crisis such as hostage taking and terrorist acts.” The attorney was Trump’s Attorney General, Swamp Creature William Barr.

I am very concerned with Trumpet and the liberty hating clowns he is working with. I find it very “interesting” how you are a typical NY liberal buffoon but then all the sudden you are a Republican? and note, trump is NOT a fan of guns clearly. I think we are in big, big trouble as we have been straight Clowned yet again. I have Zero faith in any of them and gov’t at all levels is crooked and incompetent and they sure seem to hate the citizens having any rights and everyone knows they want guns Gone!!!!

    • Montana Guy says:

Chris, we continue voting for the lessor of two evils and guess what we end up with? Continued evil and more loss of liberty.

Failure to understand that Republicans are an enemy of liberty is to have missed the whole lesson of America’s slide into tyranny.

Another good article by Kinkaid at “Renew America” site. Basically California should now be considered a Communist Country. ( It’s starting in our Western states)

  4. Maranatha says:

We cannot be the world’s policemen. That has never worked. We have neither the will, the money, or the necessary troops as Millennial men are so weak that they have equal grip strength to Millennial women. 80% cannot pass basic training.

We are spread thing and have plenty of domestic issue up to and including a massive perpetual illegal alien invasion, subversives in Congress, half the country are at odds with the other half, and so civil war is looming.

Should that happen, do you really want the bulk of our troops outside the country? Heck, we could reploy as an infantry/armor based Border Guard just like our Coast Guard and stop most illegal drugs by the narco-terrorists plus most of the illegal aliens coming over by coyotes and severely reduce prostitution too.

    • Kevin2 says:

“We cannot be the world’s policemen.”

We’re not, a lot of the trouble is caused by us with the intent of destabilization. We are however the enforcer for the globalist multi national corporations. Pol Pot was stopped by communist Vietnam who interestingly fought China in 1979. So much for the global unified communist conspiracy as Tito in Yugoslavia v USSR can also attest to. Interestingly before the coup led by the CIA in Chile it had been hailed as a beacon of democracy and political stability for decades; whilst the rest of South America had been plagued by military juntas. The collapse of Chilean democracy ended a streak of democratic governments in Chile, which had held democratic elections since 1932. The US does not wear a white hat.

In the words of USMC Major General Two Time Medal Of Honor Recipient Smedley Butler

I helped make Mexico, especially Tampico, safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China I helped to see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested.

I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major-General. And during that period, I spent most of my time being a high class muscle-man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism.

Facts are facts and I’m in good company with USMC MG Smedley Butler. The US has overthrown legally elected leaders or thwarted democratic elections and for the most part our supposed “free press” avoids it. Iran in 1953, Vietnam in 1954. In the “School For The Americas” right wing death squads were trained to keep dictators in power in Central and South America. They killed Catholic priests who dared to speak about poverty and injustice.

In the last24 hours, Putin discussed putting Tsircon hypersonic missiles in nuclear subs off the US coastlines in international waters. The minimum time from launch to impact is two minutes. The maximum time is about ten minutes.

Don’t excuse this bellicose Russian rhetoric.

    • Maranatha says:

      htt ps://www.newsweek.com/russia-missile-could-hit-us-five-minutes-1339811

With such an abbreviated response window, an overreaction would be necessary as otherwise we would the capacity to respond as our missiles are slower.

      It’s a very good article.

Our Democrats are a far bigger threat to America than anything a foreign power can do. They don’t have to worry about Nuke exchanges, or major hot wars, just do what they can to elect Democrats and they will destroy the country for you.

    • Maranatha, Putin’s remarks were in response to the US/Globalists threatening to put missiles in Poland, Ukraine and elsewhere on the Russian border. In violation of the Black Sea treaty, the US/Globalists have put Aegis missile systems on the coast of the Black Sea in Romania. The Globalists are surrounding Russia on her own border. What’s wrong with this scenario? Both sides are putting missiles so close to each other that a mistake could trigger a nuclear strike, with no time to negotiate or mitigate the situation. And this isn’t the only risky situation. Kaliningrad. No one even looks at this real estate. Check your maps. The Soviets took this place at the end of WW2. Now it belongs to Russia. Almost 75 years now. 95% of Americans probably couldn’t find it on a map.

      • Maranatha says:

No argument. That is why I brought up the Cuban Missile Crisis as it was NATO missiles in Turkey that precipitated it.

I blame Obama. That turd encouraged our enemies and Trump inherited his mess like this moronic Iran deal that went south.

Eventually with hypersonics, a nuclear exchange is inevitable. The window is too abbreviated and so mistakes due to the fog of war will occur. Some sub will pass into territorial water, like Puutin ordered, and WW3 starts.

  9. Maranatha says:

To cope we would need our own hypersonics or better and more nuclear subs constantly off the coasts as well as our own subs off the Russian coasts on a constant basis as well as our normal nuclear long range bombers.

It’s back to the Reagan days of calling the Russians the Evil Empire.

With such minimal coping time, you know there would be constant shadowing and chasing of subs and accidents based on such a high operating tempo.

And if the Russians did launch, it’s use them or lose them for the USA so full strike retaliation.

    • Maranatha says:

The old standard nineties nuclear sub launch off the coasts in international waters was 15 minutes (shortest time) from launch to impact. However, obviously a commander might try coming in as close as possible into territorial waters but then risked defensive and offensive countermeasures.

We claim 12 miles as territorial waters. I don’t know how close the Russians push it.

So now with hypersonics 2-10 ten minutes leaves almost no time based detection and response time and of course, the Russians could enter territorial waters to make it extremely too close to call.

Plus they are discussing an all AI nuclear sub (plus have an operation drone in the last 72 hours) so there’s no human way to defend against that so we would have to have our own AI subs and drones.

China is the last bastion of communism. They still believe in its tenants. Unlike the USSR that by 1980 or even before seen that the system was a failure. The Politburo largely weren’t born when communism took control in 1922. They seen the excesses of Stalin, the failures in productivity and just kept the system going for as long as possible. China on the other hand didn’t get under communist control until 1947. Chinese leaders, not the drunks like the Russian / Ukrainian USSR leadership who died much younger, lived and governed into their 90s. They themselves walked the great walk with Mao Zedong. They believe in communism. Communism, with lots of western help is working for them as their overall standard of living has dramatically risen putting China in the first world with a 3rd world rural countryside. Having abandoned the “From those with means to those with needs” to a “I want mine” mentality and loosing government ownership of of the means of production Russia may retain significant portions of totalitarism but communism cannot return. China however is an entirely different case. Its global actions however are very capitalist loaning money to countries then controlling them. It’s a strategy employed by the west through the IMF. They learned it from us. Chinas ability to export the communist ideology is precarious at best with only Africa a fertile environment for such. This creates a problem because China is allied with capitalism to exploit the resources there; no other system has sufficient productivity.

Rev 6:4, ” Out can another horse, bright red in color, It’s rider was permitted to take peace from the earth so that people should slay one another and he was given a sword”. ESV

My take is that wars are part of God’s plan. Just remember Rom 8:28, “All things work together for good for those who love The Lord”.

  19. I was working on memory. So I had to go back and research this stuff. Putin is with the United Russia Part. They hold about 75% of the seats in the Duma. The Communist Party got only 13.3% of the vote in the 2016 election. The United Russia Party is a nationalist conservative party in Russia. Not very ideological at all. The Russians are building hundreds of churches, probably to replace the ones torn down by the commies. Let’s catch up with the times folks. There are more commies in Washington D.C. than there are in Moscow. Shame on us.

    • Kevin2 says:

Russia is building Russian Orthodox Churches but surprises others. These are in effect “controlled” regarding political activity. Russia, unlike its USSR predecessor see value in the morality it instills within the citizenry. However it’s apprehensive of anywhere there may be a large audience. Their “control” is more direct than the method of control employed in the US using the threat of taxation to keep churches in line as once politics is discussed they loose their tax exempt status. When any use of military force is used its, “Onward Christian Soldiers” regardless. Stand up at the pulpit and speak otherwise and the IRS may pay a visit the threat of which works wonders. As the Founding Fathers said, “The power to tax is the power to destroy”.

    • Maranatha says:

Build Orthodox churches and banning witnessing at the same time by criminalizing it as terrorism!

Do you actually believe in Jesus Christ or worship Putin’s god?

I posted three news articles showing this and you are just obtuse about it! Putin is an antichrist.

Anyone who complains about a Christian witnessing is an antichrist. The whole point of being a Christian is to share the Gospel.

      • Maranatha, so if everyone doesn’t practice their faith exactly as you do, then they are Satanists and anti-Christ? You really need to get out more. The good thing about free speech, is that it allows some people to really embarrass themselves.

  20. Kevin2 says:

No on second thought you don’t know the definition of communism.

    One more time (muscle memory)

Communism is a system of government where the state owns the means of production and private property is abolished.

According to the CIA Russia is a Semi Presidential Federation

A semi-presidential system or dual executive system is a system of government in which a president exists alongside a prime minister and a cabinet, with the latter being responsible to the legislature of a state. It differs from a parliamentary republic in that it has a popularly elected head of state, who is more than a mostly ceremonial/non-executive (the powers, limitations differ in different parliamentary republics, that this type of president would have tended to be ‘reserve’/emergency and non-partisan in nature), figurehead (a president in a dual executive system also has political powers), and from the presidential system in that the cabinet, although named by the president, is responsible to the legislature, which may force the cabinet to resign through a motion of no confidence.

According to the CIA China is a Communist Party Led State

Communism is when the proletariat wants to rule the world. Fascism is when an exceptional race tries to rule the world. Democracy is when the American exclusive nation tries to rule the world. How will this end? If you do not learn it may be late

  24. Maranatha says:

America is NOT a democracy. A democracy is forbidden by the US Constitution. The Constitution defines the United States of America as a constitutional republic.

Every Democrat is a traitor to America.

    Article IV Section 4

    SECTION 4
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

    • Maranatha, wrong again. This country was founded as a free constitutional Republic. Limited franchise. It was subverted. It is now a democracy. All democracies are socialist. This country is well on it’s way to becoming a totalitarian communist regime. But Seminole Wind still thinks the government is his. For those of you that don’t get out much, consider this, 54% of children entering kindergarten in the US are non-White. And that number goes up every year. That’s what communism is about. Kill communism or perish.

  25. Maranatha says:

Have you actually read the Bible? Read what Jesus and John the Baptist wrote. Read what the prophets wrote. Read what Paul wrote. They all were straight shooters and called it like they saw ’em.

They were not namby pamby weaklings.

    • yours truly says:

      Yep, all fiction.

      • Maranatha says:

Interesing. The Bible is the most authenticated book in all of human history with THOUSANDS of papyri as primary sources.

Yet you claim that its fiction. Okay. You made a wild claim. Prove that claim. But you cannot.

This is why atheists are liars and rogues. They like to claim they are intellectuals yet push come to shove, can’t back their claims.

Atheism is NOT provable. That makes the belief of atheism to be a faith based decision.

  26. Maranatha says:

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
    Witnessing to All Nations
    (Mark 13:10-13; Luke 21:10-19)

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
    Matthew 24:5-14

Every time Christian or unbelievers hinder the Gospel and try to prevent witnessing, they are fulfilling the Great Apostasy in Matthew 24.

If you are offended by the Bible and witnessing, you cannot be a Christian, but a LIAR. What will Jesus do in judgement against such wickedness?

You have to be the most foolish and foolhearty person to oppose the Gospel. That makes you an antichrist.

You better repent because otherwise Hell is full of antichrists.

  27. aljamo says:

Self called Christians can and do sling venom around at any opportunity. They are always right and will never accept rebuttal opinions as the indoctrination is total and irreversible. Not saying that I disbelieve completely but the effect is trance like and a slammed shut mentality to opposing views. Most also support never ending wars by US imperialist murderers while their own freedoms are under direct assault.

  28. Maranatha says:

Ridiculous. While I am a fervent believer, I will move heaven and earth to facilitate salvation by daily evangelizing. I’ve been saved most of my life…since early childhood, but NEVER ever take it for granted. It’s an ancient Hebrew practice to “wrestle with the angel like Jacob” and that has come to mean to test the Scriptures for discernment in Christianity.

Y’all think we are condemning but the OPPOSITE is true. We do NOT want any souls to go to Hell. We want to save everyone by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Witnessing is about sharing testimony and the Bible to help rescue people.

The Bible clearly says in 2 Thessalonians 2 that the great “apostasia”, ie the great reject of Christianity where people are offended by the words of Jesus Christ, will then happen and THEN the Antichrist will be revealed.

That is actually mentioned by Matthew 24 in the passage of “wars and rumors of wars” in this article.

  29. Maranatha says:

The Russians have never dsiavowed their Marxist-Leninist origins and still in 1990 when they amended their consititution, Communism is the primary party mentioned.

It’s extremely foolish to believe they are not communist. They pretend to be socialists toying with captalist ideas but some of the most viscious HORROR came out of the USSR.

And when in 2016 under the antiterrorism act, they included Christian witnessing outside of churches (other that state sponsored Orthodox Christianity), then you can be fined and jailed merely by posting a comment online about Jesus Christ!

Wake up. The KGB (NKVD) has a long history of suppressing Christianity by using spies embedded within the Russian Orthodox clergy. That happened all over the USSR.

    • Kevin2 says:

      Maranatha

“It’s extremely foolish to believe they are not communist.”

Well the CIA doesn’t agree with you.

      One more time.

Communism defined is state ownership of the means of production.

Oligarchs, quite similar to our gilded age industrialists like Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, Carnegie have taken control and are seeking alliances with Soros who’s foundations are banned. This is telling that Soros is an enemy of Putin and visa versa.

      • Maranatha says:

You repeating a paragraph don’t make it true.

Trusting that the Russians are no longer communist based on voting when the communist party is the primary one mentioned in their constitution is extremely NAIVE.

Just as fast as glasnost turned things this way, it can turn right back.

You remind me of foolish Russian Americans who were invited by Stalin to return to create industry and then ended up being persecuted

        ht tps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_Herman

Lots of them were Christians and they ended up in forced labor camps and exterminated.

It was especially bad for Latvians because they had chosen to side with the Nazis, then we swallowed up and 70% of those purged were women and children.

But hey, the Russians are no longer the mass rapists of world war 2,to the tune of a million German women, but nice benign socialist/capitalist hybrids.

          • Maranatha says:

Article 6 of the Russian constitution as ammended in 1990.

The Communist Party of the Soviet Union, other political parties as well as labor, youth and other public organisations and mass movements, through their representatives elected to the Councils of People’s Deputies and in other forms participate in the policy-making of the Soviet state, in the management of state and public affairs.

Until that is stricken from their constitution and they disavow their communist DEMOCIDE then only a fool would believe the Russian government.

If they paid me 10 million dolars to move there, I would tell them to kiss my ass.

            • Maranatha, my God. You are comparing Russia today with the Russia of 70 years ago. Do you know anyone outside of your isolated village? Someone has indoctrinated you with an old history book. Your own government s jamming Marxism down your throat everyday, but you rant on about old Russia as if it were today.

  30. Kevin2 says:

Trust? who said anything about trust? As Kissinger (who I deplore) said, “The US don’t have friends, it has interests”. I’m telling you that communism is an economic system that Russia does not have. You argue your point with the CIA.

The abandonment of communism makes it impossible too sell to the 3rd world downtrodden, “From those according to their means to those according to their needs”. That sales pitch filled the ranks with insurgents anywhere they were oppressed and thanks to some ultra greedy capitalists (the best recruiting agent for communism) there was no shortage of them.

I have a news flash. Only a fool trusts government period. OBTW where are those WMDs in Iraq? Why does the US use its air power to support Islamic Fundamentalists in Libya? There are threats to your freedom and they’re emanating from Washington DC. Need I say NSA shredding the 4th Amendment. Snowden reporting on it and having to go in hiding from a government that injects “freedom” in every sentence and Julia Assange hiding from a “Free Country”. I like it here but I see the Bill Of Rights being shredded before our eyes and ostensible falsehoods the order of the day coming from our country. You’re looking outward when the danger is largely inward.

Russia isn’t capable of invading the US even if it so desired. In the meantime they are being threatened. Who of the sane stands up and as a selling point said they will enact a no fly zone over Syria and they will shoot down Russian jets to enforce it. Contenders from both Democrat and Republican spoke this madness. Who is threatening who?

    • Maranatha says:

Only a FOOL thinks communism is merely an economic system. Communism is a complex form of government which is totalitarian in nature, repressive, ruinous to natural rights, and anyone at at any time can be sent to a forced labor camp. You are just looking at the economics and ignoring all of the USSR HISTORY.

Then you pretend that everything magically got better in 1990 when in fact Chechnya in 1999, Georgia in 2008, the Ukraine in 2014 all were brutal repressive actions by these so called democratic Russians!

Heck, read a history book that isn’t written by a leftist.

What kind of preppers praise Russia and Libya??? What kind of preppers despise the USA and equate Republicans and Democrats? What kind of preppers hate the US military???

      • Kevin2 says:

Glad you brought up these two.

“Georgia in 2008, the Ukraine in 2014”

Both were CIA coups. Georgia has Russias main oil export line, a life blood of the nation. The Ukraine as the main Russian natural gas hub of export. The democratically elected government was overthrown by the CIA and their gold stolen. Russia responded to this.

        Read the Ukraine Article:
        h ttps://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-11-18/ukraine-admits-its-gold-gone

“Only a FOOL thinks communism is merely an economic system.”

You live in an alternate reality. The CIA doesn’t refer to Russia as communist. Communist, root word “Communal”, public ownership of the means of production. Thats the money, thats where the power lay.

        “What kind of preppers”?

Thinkers, people who question. What type of person can turn a blind eye to the US using its air power to HELP ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISTS and not question it? What type of person shrugs off no WMD in Iraq? What type of person can shrug off the threat to shoot down Russian jets over Syria. Not the sane, the blind, the ignorant, the foolish. Trust Government? Damn near the entire Federalist Papers address that. Eisenhower warned the public on Jan 17th 1961 about the Military Industrial Complex. You know who move lockstep with whatever their government says without question?

One more time, THE US USED ITS AIR POWER TO HELP ISLAMIC FANATICS OVERTHROW LIBYA.

      • Kevin2 says:

Why did the US use its Air Power to facilitate Islamic Fundamentalists overthrowing Libya?

        Simple Question.

Where is the WMD in Iraq?

        Simple question.

Who is arming ISIS? Who is ISIS fighting?

        Simple Question.

I think. I question especially when the official narrative comes up short. The above questions come up short.

        • Maranatha says:

Hey, if you think Libya or Russia or anyone is better, nobody is stopping you from moving.

          • Kevin2 says:

Am I to blindly agree with US policy or leave? No as an American I’m not just allowed, nor entitled but required to question my government. Read through the Federalist Papers regarding what the Founding Fathers said about government. They feared it becoming too powerful. Eisenhower warned us about MIC.

So why does the US help Islamic Fundamentalists overthrow countries? Thats a valid question.

      • Kevin2 says:

“Georgia in 2008, the Ukraine in 2014”

        Thanks, almost forgot about these.

Georgia is Russias main oil export pipeline hub. The CIA staged a coup (a CIA speciality) there, Russia pushed back.

Ukraine is Russias main natural gas export hub. Once again same CIA coup. Interestingly this coup had the Ukraines gold disappear with is coincidental to Germany requesting the Federal Reserve to return their to which the reply was, “not now, sometime in the future”.

        h ttps://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-11-18/ukraine-admits-its-gold-gone

What does prepping have to do with blindly, very blindly accepting everything government says despite later evidence showing it to be a lie? The answer, someone who thinks, someone who questions.

Why would the US use its air power to help Islamic Fundamentalists overthrow Libya and put them in control there?

Where is the WMD, first nuclear, then watered down to chemical then oops nothing there but Saddam was a bad man and his kids are rapists. I love the US military and feel for the almost 5000 that died for nothing there. Add to that the almost 59,000 that died for nothing in Vietnam, one a cousin on his 19th birthday.

      • Kevin2 says:

Heck, read a history book that isn’t written by a leftist.

I read a lot, some of it long before there was a left or right. One is especially timeless and interesting. Its both a warning and prophecy.

‘Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?’ is a Latin phrase used by the Roman poet Juvenal, which can be translated to mean ‘who will protect us from our protectors?’ This warning comes to us from 2000 years ago to alert citizens to the serious dangers they face when those they have appointed to protect their lives and property become takers rather than protectors.

Any suggestions on books to read?

  31. Maranatha says:

How about a reality check? If Russia is some kind of socialist democracy then why do they fear the USA? Why are the Russians moving their nuclear subs within the 12 mile territorial waters of the USA? Why are the Russians developing hypersonic missiles and threatening to destroy our coastal cities in sheer minutes?

Hmmm. Doesn’t sound too benign, does it? Hey, if they are what you say they are, then the USA couldn’t be a threat and we should just walk hand-in-hand into the sunset.

But no, we are bitter enemies and absolutely do not trust the Russians because all we have to do is read history and listen to Putin’s latest gloating.

    • Kevin2 says:

“why do they fear the USA?”

The USA through NATO is right on their border in spite of assurances made to the contrary.

“Why are the Russians developing hypersonic missiles and threatening to destroy our coastal cities in sheer minutes?”

Because the USA through NATO is right on their border.

      • Maranatha says:

So why is NATO right on their border?

        Chechnya in 1999!
        Georgia in 2008!
        Ukraine in 2014!

Heck, this ignores Russian meddling in North Korea.

        • Chechnya, Muslim terrorists. Georgia, the Georgians attacked civilians in South Ossetia. Ukraine, Globalist/US paid coup d’etat on the Russian border. The US government has been hijacked by the real bad guys. Wake the fuck up. The guys in D.C. destroyed our country. Not the Russians. Time marches on. More commies in D.C. than Moscow, don’t you agree? The Russians don’t take your freedom, the politicians in D.C. do. Sheesh!

Any other conclusion other than the government has been hijacked is intellectually disingenuous.

  32. Kevin2 says:

The US is attempting to economically strangle Russia and the push of NATO.

Chechnya was part of Russia, not the USSR but Russia. Wonder what the USA would do if Florida wanted to separate? Oh we have past practice with that in 1861.

Is Russia “allowed” to have any relations with any nation? Meddling? Hell the US has bombed or invaded a hard dozen nations in the last several years OSTENSIBLY because of terrorism while helping and using terrorists (see Libya and ISIS) itself.

    GTFOOH

Instead you want blame the USA for everything while ignoring everything the Russians and Chinese have done. It’s outrageous.

Hey, maybe you could get paid to do this by the communists instead of doing for free? Only a total idealogue would so freely carry water for Russia and China and Libya and Syria.

    • Kevin2 says:

Like to pick the below somewhat apart.

The Russians and the Chinese have been staging coups in the USA since they existed as nations. Where is your moral outrage about communist infiltration into civil right groups, unions, feminist, the student free speech movement, gun control, abortion, the military, nuclear disarmament, the universities, Congress, etc?

      1. infiltration into civil right groups

Blacks should not vote and need to sit in the back of the bus. If and I use the term IF (and I believe the civil rights movement was indigenous) I thank them for reminding us that the Bill Of Rights applies to everyone. Like Trump saying in the campaign, “If its the Russians giving us this information I welcome it”.

      2. Unions?

Unions facilitated the middle class and in reality the Wagner Act of 1935 was largely supported to thwart communism giving the working man a slice of the pie. Ever hear about Frick in charge of US Steel?

      3. The Soviets are behind Gun Control? GTFOOH. Thats home grown and ultimately coming from the real owners of the US (see Deep State)

No nation has meddled in more elections world wide than the US.

Ignoring Russia? They should not be in Syria who invited them in? We are there uninvited.

What did Libya do? When the US used its air power to facilitate ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISTS overthrowing the country. You avoid this like the plague.

What did Syria do? A nation that protects its 10% Christian population while the people the US arms, including ISIS beheads Christians. You avoid this like the plague also.

China getting resources in Africa? China loaning money to nations that can’t repay to get favorable concessions? Hell where do you think that was learned? Who do you think was doing that through the IMF when the Chinese were still behind a water buffalo?

Russia protecting its primary source of income, fuel sales? Being threatened with the establishment of a “No Fly Zone” ? Who is the US to do that?

If no other question answer Libya and the US using its air power.

  34. Kevin2 says:

The US is a terrific nation that unfortunately had its government highjacked. It’s now so obvious that the term “Deep State” is mainstream. So far a partial withdrawal from Syria however bombing them, abet for show, tends to negate his campaign promises. It’s likely that the threats against Venezuela are for leverage however taking on Neo-Cons like Bolton doesn’t bode well.

We’ll see, but I agree it doesn’t look good. One thing I’m sure of; if Trump goes in, Venezuela will be for Trump will be what Vietnam was for Johnson.

      • K2, I respectfully disagree with the idea that Venezuela will be another Viet Nam. Too many logistical differences. I don’t think the US military should go there. It’s not our country. Isn’t this the same meddling as those who claim the Russians meddled in our government? Maybe even worse.

        • Kevin2 says:

I’m aware of no sanctuary nations nearby but it takes little effort to sustain an insurgency. All they have to do is to keep the government from functioning and send home some body bags. The “Progressives” will finger Trump who campaigned on the opposite. In the end I agree that the insurgency has neither the logistical sustainability nor the fortitude to last a long time like Vietnam did however all they need to do is last until the next election.

  38. One of these days, someone should explain to all Americans what kind of government we actually have. It’s complicated. It’s my observation that we have symptoms of several different types of governments at the same time. Fascism is when corporations control the government. We have some of that. Socialist Democracy is when the majority can vote away your rights. We have some of that. Communism. When the government controls all production and labor. We have some of that. The worst part of communist ideology is that it is anti-Western. Western Civilization was White Christian Civilian. This Civilization has been subverted and damaged extensively. We have oligarchs. We have corrupt, crony capitalism. We’re screwed. But on the bright side, spring is just around the corner.

It’s a plutocratic oligarchy that is fascist but uses socialism to placate the masses.

“Fascism is when corporations control the government.”

We don’t just have some of that in a nutshell thats what we have.

From what I’ve observed while in the military, no gov’t (Russia chestbeating included) puts all their tactical options on the table for the world (or their enemies) to see. What we as civilians know about our actual capabilities is just the tip of the iceberg. He’ll, there are gov’t and even certain military agencies that do not have that clearance except on a need to know basis!

Regarding non nuclear weapons (which are intended to be used) this is correct. Historically the nuclear weapon capability is exaggerated for deterrent effect assuming such doesn’t violate treaty. Interestingly the intelligence agencies military (army, Navy and AF Intelligence) and State (CIA, DIA) overestimate the threats by a great number. During the Cuban Missile Crisis the number of missiles the President was told that were in the USSR arsenal was 400 and the Air Force stated “At least 1000”. They actually had 4 that was later indisputably confirmed with satellite photos.

Forget about us, the President cannot depend upon factual information. Even more unnerving is both nations military’s doing many things to undercut the peaceful solution in failure to relay orders or interpreting them with the greatest latitude for their particular bias.

The Russian government has openly persecuted Christians by various means since the 1917 Revolution.

Both links discuss this at some length.

Historically atheism was forced on schoolschildren to become Young Pioneers and they would get a red bandana if they gave up the Christian superstitions of their ancestors. They also encouraged these kids to report counterrevolutionary activities to the athorities.

The KGB (NKVD) infiltrated clergy and believers in the Russian Orthodox church, both within the USSR and in other countries especially in the USA. This is history not subject to debate. It’s considered a major scandal.

After glasnost, the new openness allowed renewed Christian missionary activities, but with heavy surveillance. In 2016, new laws were passed that severely restricted any foreign influence, labeled that terrorism, and that includes evangelical Christianity.

Apparently this is news to many of you. Look up the links where this is very detailed.

The state religion is practically the Russian Orthodox church as the others are squashed by various means.

The Russians are certainly paranoid. You loose 20 million people in WWII and that tends to happen. Conversely the US has broad religious freedom as long as they don’t go into politics too far or there loose their tax exempt status. When it’s War Time they all line up unquestioningly from Left CNN to Right FOX and all in between.

In the Sunday evening broadcast, Dmitry Kiselyov, presenter of Russia’s main weekly TV news show ‘Vesti Nedeli’, showed a map of the United States and identified several targets he said Moscow would want to hit in the event of a nuclear war.

The targets, which Kiselyov described as U.S. presidential or military command centers, also included Fort Ritchie, a military training center in Maryland closed in 1998, McClellan, a U.S. Air Force base in California closed in 2001, and Jim Creek, a naval communications base in Washington state.

Kiselyov, who is close to the Kremlin, said the “Tsirkon” (‘Zircon’) hypersonic missile that Russia is developing could hit the targets in less than five minutes if launched from Russian submarines.
