Editor’s Comment: Hospitals are dangerous for a number of factors… and their pitfalls are representative of a larger issue of trusting the system.

Deaths at the hands of medical practitioners is due, in some respects, to the mentality of many Americans to turn to authorities for help with everything; going for treatment at the first sign of sickness; taking drugs and antibiotics that weaken or harm them unquestioningly; and assuming that those in charge can do no wrong despite a very troubling record.

The same is happening at the macro level: the economy is diseased, the infrastructure is falling apart, and the population has a dangerous dependency on the nation’s practitioners.

Third Leading Cause of Death in America: Going to the Hospital

by Joshua Krause

Before the 20th century, the average person would only go to the hospital as a last resort. That’s because hospitals were where you went to die. They were unhygienic hell holes staffed by unprofessional doctors who knew as much about medicine as you or I know about nuclear physics. Even when a healthy person was admitted to a hospital, there was a really good chance that they weren’t coming out alive.

A lot has changed since those dark days, but there are still plenty of ways to die in a hospital that are very preventable. In fact, so many people die from “medical errors” in our hospitals, that it’s become the third leading cause of death in America. It outranks car accidents, murders, and suicides put together, and by a wide margin. It’s only surpassed by cancer and heart disease as the leading causes of death. According a report published by The BMJ, over 250,000 people die from medical errors every year. They define these errors as:

“An unintended act (either of omission or commission) or one that does not achieve its intended outcome, the failure of a planned action to be completed as intended (an error of execution), the use of a wrong plan to achieve an aim (an error of planning), or a deviation from the process of care that may or may not cause harm to the patient.”

And the true number of deaths could be much higher. “Medical error” isn’t something that shows up on death certificates, and the people who do die from these mistakes are just the individuals that we know about.

While the study doesn’t mention this, there shouldn’t be any doubt that at least some of these numbers are related to America’s prescription drug epidemic. Americans are prescribed more drugs than anyone else on the planet, and while estimates vary, the deaths that are related to these prescriptions number in the tens of thousands. The statistics surrounding opioid drugs alone are harrowing.

Approximately 4,263 deaths were linked to opioid overdoses in 1999, but that number had climbed to 17,000 in 2011, and didn’t include those from benzodiazepine drugs such as Xanax and Klonopin. The numbers could be even higher because specific drugs weren’t named in about 25% of all drug deaths. The greatest increase in death rates occurred in Americans between 55-65 years old.

“The amount that [opioids] are administered by well-meaning physicians is excessive,” said Dr. Robert Waldman, an addiction medicine consultant not involved with the research. “Most physicians are people-pleasers who want to help and want to meet people’s needs, and they are more inclined to give people the benefit of the doubt until you are shown otherwise.”

Unfortunately, there’s no reason to believe that these numbers will fall in the near future. Between the proliferation of socialized medicine (which results in fewer doctors who are under more stress, and thus, make more mistakes), the rise of superbugs, and doctors who give out drugs like candy, someday soon going to the hospital may be just as hazardous for your health as it was before the 20th century.

So this old man goes to the doctor and the doctor says, “You’re test results came back and I’m afraid I have some bad news. You have Cancer and you have Alzheimer’s”. The old man says, “That ain’t so bad, at
    least I don’t have Cancer!”

If you want good health, eat a healthy diet of fruit, vegetables, and a little white and red meat; exercise (walking is best and modest weight training helps); and drink ice water, coffee & tea. Take a vitamin and mineral supplement.

DO NOT DRINK SODA OF ANY KIND. IT IS LIQUID DEATH.

If you are a man and older than 40 make sure you take a zinc supplement, in lieu of artificial steroids. An amino acid supplement is also helpful. 65 is the new 40.

If you have any diseases including cancer, Google ORAC VALUES and eat LOTS of those antioxidants, including ginger, turmeric, pomegranate, cinnamon, D3, milk thistle, among others, and mega doses of vitamin C.

All diseases are caused by the various bacteria, virus, and fungi parasites that inhabit our bodies. To KILL cancer before it kills you, you must eat the substances that KILL cancer in large doses. A good diet is not enough, or Linda McCartney a vegetarian, would still be alive today.

To your good health !!! 🙂

DK, ever heard of sour pomegranites?
I have 10 in the back yard. I am a 4th generation grower, and they will torque up your taste buds.
Around Halloween, they are ready to eat.
I like to take one and take every kernel off, then do small handfuls and eat.
They were called the king’s fruit for a reason…

Elderberry wine is good for colds and flu too. Make tea from your dandilions roots. And a spoonful of honey and cinnamon is great, apple cider vinegar, spirulina, chlorella, cayenne, black cumin seed oil, is a powerhouse of cancer fighting compounds. I never go to the doctor unless I absolutely have too (injuries). Moonshine is a great painkiller (and cause of pain when falling down) lol.

Doctor joke: One day a man goes to the proctologist…
Doctor: OK I want you to pull yer britches down and bend over this table.
MAN: Ok doc (and does so)
Doc: Ok Im going to put this glove on and put one of my fingers up your arse to see if theres any problems.
MAN: (thinks for a few seconds) Gee doc, do you think you could stick 2 fingers up my arse?
Doc: I suppose so, why do you want me to do that?
MAN: I just want a second opinion 😛

One night a man and a woman are both at a bar knocking back a few beers. They start talking and come to realize that they’re both doctors. After about an hour, the man says to the woman, Hey. How about if we sleep together tonight. No strings attached. It’ll just be one night of fun. The woman doctor agrees to it.

So they go back to her place and he goes in the bedroom. She goes in the bathroom and starts scrubbing up like she’s about to go into the operating room. She scrubs for a good 10 minutes. Finally she goes in the bedroom and they have sex for an hour or so.

Afterwards, the man says to the woman, You’re a surgeon, aren’t you? Yeah, how did you know? The man says, I could tell by the way you scrubbed up before we started. Oh, that makes sense, says the woman. Youre an anesthesiologist aren’t you? Yeah, says the man, a bit surprised. How did you know? The woman answers, Because I didn’t feel a thing.

It had been reported before the onset of Obama Care, that the quality of health care would take a dive.

Also The MRSA infection is adding to the problem.

I believe that the day of the doctor making house calls will
return. But in this day and age, he/she will need personal security. How awful.

Years ago my friends father had injured himself doing yard work. He went to the ER, got 8 stitches and was sent home. A few days later he was admitted to the hospital in serious condition with a very high fever. Two days later he died from a blood infection. He was 58 yrs old.

The neighbors’ 43 yr-old son died last year from a MRSA infection from being hospitalized. He had been very sick for over a year after following his discharge from the hospital for bronchitis and asthma, and a year later died from complications due to the MRSA.

Even Drs and Nurses have admitted that hospitals are among the filthiest of places.

    • KY Mom says:

Why frequent and proper hand washing is so important…

Hospitals struggle to get workers to wash hands.
“Studies have shown that without encouragement, hospital workers wash their hands as little as 30 percent of the time that they interact with patients.”
      ht tp://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/29/nyregion/hospitals-struggle-to-get-workers-to-wash-their-hands.html?partner=rss&emc=rss&smid=tw-nytimes&_r=1&

Nursing Homes are also a concern.
“The communal living conditions of long-term care residents raise the risk for transmission and acquisition of a healthcare-associated infection…”

“Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) is the latest example of an infection that can be difficult — if not impossible — to kill, joining Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) as a troublesome foe for infection control professionals.

Clostridium difficile and norovirus are also stubborn pathogens that infection control professionals have battled for years.”

“WHEN C. DIFF IS IN A SPORE STATE, IT CAN LIVE UP TO FIVE MONTHS, RE-INTRODUCING ITSELF TO THE ENVIRONMENT AT ANY TIME AND EXPOSING THE FACILITY TO NEW RISK.”

“Bleach is the most common C. diff disinfectant when properly diluted, but the Environmental Protection Agency also has added other hydrogen peroxide products and a silver-based product to its approved list…”

“Any strong infection control program should include a hand-hygiene program — not only for STAFF, but for RESIDENTS and their VISITORS as well.”

My neighbors Father contracted MERSA from a very minor skin cancer removal at VA hospital. MERSA is very serious. He said he felt like a Leper, afraid to interact with his family, friends, grand children.

Are hospitals INTENTIONALLY allowing people to contract MERSA?
Or are Hospitals or the VA really that Incompetent?

FYI – The top five professions psychopaths are most attracted to, and are over-represented in, are; Lawyer, Politician, Media Personnel, CEO, AND physician/surgeon.

When the patients’ illness or death is caused by a doctor the technical term for that is “Iatrogenic” or “Iatrogenically Induced”, even if it wasn’t a mistake and was deliberate… wrongful death/murder.

I’ve also heard, from a doctor no less, that the two worst days to go to the hospital for scheduled surgery is Friday and Monday. Friday they are worn out from seeing hundreds of patients and Mondays they are more likely to be hungover from the weekend.

Consider having Fish Mox etc on hand as a prep.

And fwiw I read that PPIs like Prilosec can show false positive for THC on a urine test. Also Motrin and Aleve. Robitussin DM might show for opiods.

I still feel good at 59 years old. I’m not on any Big Pharma poisons at all. Don’t smoke, don’t drink, don’t do drugs. I avoid doctors like they were HIV. I’ve seen people get sick at a hospital faster than anywhere else. Hospitals are definitely hazardous to your health. I also stay active and eat sensibly. I lost 40 extra pounds of weight last year I didn’t need and felt even better. I feel like I have a better than average chance of making it through SHTF.

The VA assigned me to a new doctor. Where are they from? India. Not an American. Just walking into the room I felt like a fricking giant. Did they shake my hand? No. Did they ask questions in an orderly manner to get to know me? No.

On the other hand there was a sign on the front desk about a group for trannies.

      Your tax dollars at work.

Yes, I called admin and requested a new doctor. Apparently the staff are not impressed, either. One of the first times the nursing staff were happy to take my complaints.

When you want to find out how much Doctors don’t know, get sick. It really is a “practice”.

  11. grossyi says:

I work in a busy ER on Oahu. I see more drug seekers in a day than I see emergencies. The doctors are rated by the patients on the care they recieved. Any doctor that refuses narcotics has learned at the review boards that not keeping patients happy is dangerous to your career. Narcotic overdoses are a natural consequence of the system that we have to work within. Place the blame where it belongs; the drug seeker and the system that rewards the unwise administration of narcotics. And yes by their very nature hospitals are contaminated with germs that you don’t want. It is unwise to go to an emergency room unless you are suffering an emergency. Cleaning every germ on every surface in the midst of a busy shift is as probable as our government returning to constitutionally controlled princaples. Just not going to happen regardless of how many times I wash my hands.

    • Kulafarmer says:

The system we have here in the islands is why the state system has a hard time retaining good doctors,, its going to be interesting to see what happens here on Maui with Kaiser taking over the two hospitals,

  12. How do you know you are getting older??

You have nothing but doctor’s phone numbers in your little black book.

To cut down on medical mistakes perhaps the hospitals might require a mastery of the English language. A friend of mine who was very elderly and had a touch of dementia got into an argument with a nurse trying to force a shot on him. Finally they were fighting so loudly that other medical staff intervened. The mistaken nurse was about to give this man a shot intended for the other man in the hospital. If someone had not intervened, both men would have died and the deaths would probably have been blamed on their advanced age and medical issues.

  13. Dr. Julie in Ohio says:

You Folks really don’t understand the times you live in.

You are a cow to be milked.
You are a sheep to be sheared.
That is the REAL goal of so called government. To rob you blind. To steal from you.
Government also wants you controlled, manageable, compliant and apathetic to your circumstances. That is what Sports, TV, Entertainment, controlled media, the fluoride in water and chemicals in food does. Control and distract.

Like any other Livestock Manager, the government culls the herd when people are past their prime for milking and shearing. FYI: For non farm people “cull” is polite way to say KILL.

Social Security is broke. Government spending is out of control. You can Not and will Not be allowed to reach old age and collect the money that government STEALs from you.

That is where the Medical-Pharmaceutical-Government Medicaid comes in. They issue you drugs and Flue shots that KILL you. If you want cancer then get a flu shot. Flue shots kill within 3-5 years.

CIA are training nurses. Why would they be training nurses from other countries? Most ALL are foreign nationals to the USA. Foreigners are more likely to overdose you with the meds. They care NOTHING about Americans. To them YOU are simply livestock.

I dare you to read the book by the Obam-mamie science Czar. Read their OWN publications. They OPENLY speak of INTENTIONAL genocide.

  14. Once I was in a great deal of pain and called a doctor. He said he could see me in three weeks. I said forget it. In three weeks I’ll either be better or I’ll be dead.

Another doctor told me to wait three months he wanted to do a biopsy to see if I had Cancer. I said, in three moths I won’t need a biopsy, I’ll need a lobotomy because the suspense will drive me nuts. Ten years later I happened to run into a Doctor and told her about my failure to follow up and get the biopsy. This doc said, “you don’t have Cancer”. I said, “How do you know”. The doc said, “It was ten years ago and you’re not dead”. And it didn’t cost me a penny.

I had a low blood sugar of 28 and lost consciousness while sleeping at home, lucky a friend was staying over and heard weird sounds from another room. I had rolled off the bed onto the phone so my friend couldn’t find the phone. He woke the neighbors to call an ambulance. After an IV I came around and for the next few hours my heart was pounding. I refused to go to the hospital. Prior to that before being diagnosed with diabetes, I felt kind of sick with dry mouth so I went to the VA clinic and told the doctor my symptoms, he sent me home with cough syrup without checking my blood. After two weeks I still felt like crap and returned to the VA clinic. I had a blood sugar of 680 and they took me to the VA hospital. My blood sugar is difficult to control, it yo yos up and down, but I refuse to go to a hospital.

the co- pay( at least for me).
Most my medical stuff is civilian
provided as there is no VA hospitals
      close by.
      I get first rate care.
Most the time they treat you like dirt
as they only get Medicare pay, but when they
see you are a Vet, you get better treatment.
My optometrist came out and visited with me for
10 minutes after all the examinations, and

The simple answer to your diabetes problem is you and your diet. Eat less probably dramatically less, you would be surprised how little food we need. Your stomach will shrink, you will feel full after 1/4 of your regular portion. Remove carbs from your diet and all processed foods. All food turns to sugar in your system, carbs supply long term sugars, avoid them. Exercise, exercise and exercise. The formula is simple energy in versus energy expended. I was on three different medications to lower my sugar until I decided the problem was my FAT ASS. I did as above, lost 45 lbs and walk 5-15 miles a couple of times a week. Nothing fancy, just walking. If you are type 2, look in the mirror, there is the problem.

It is a shame that we have allowed the sick f—s that we have to take over not only our government but most of the world.

It is all about driving disease and illness so that the medical field can extract our wealth in the process and now just look at who controls our health through NWO barrycare.

  19. And it gets worst. If you get shot or injured post calapse and you have no access to a doctor much less him having access or medical equipment, then you are really in trouble. I took a medical combat course as on first aid, and how to splint, deal with the wounds and spend over $500 big ones or the course and even the instructor, and he is ex military told us that this is the temporary fix, and that don’t expect to survive in a post calapse senario. And that body armor to protect you head, torso, and knees is the best way to deal with the problem of not getting your ass shot to begin with. This is how the cabal I am thinking came up with the only 5-10,000 people per state with only 5,000 women on the surface of the planet by 2020. Degal.com shows us something, but form what I was it even worst. Yes, we ate deeper sh..t and are literally phucked and yes that includes me being eaten by vultures on the surface or at the bottom of a chi- com mass grave..

We have no prepper doctors and when I meet doctors and talk to them, they are dumb down people..this is concerning. The military medical trucks being brought in are not here to treat wounds of civilians, that’s for treating soldiers, that will be killing us..

Enjoy it while it last, because it’s 6 ft under we are going or to cannibalized for food on the surface by vultures and other wild animals..

With the current population of 360,000,000.. things are not looking good.. of your in a hospital right now and the EMP hits, your done..this is while I try my best to avoid injury.

Because there are natural, healthy, alternatives that work; and the traditional methods not only don’t work, the treatments cause horrible suffering and usually kill the person faster than the Cancer itself. The original doctor who first pushed chemo on the US was an actual psychopath like Dahmer the nut who wanted a brain dead male sex toy. The chemo psycho bought a slave girl to perform experiments on. Also chemo had the backing of a rich socialite woman who had an insatiable need to leave her mark and promoted chemo so obsessively that she succeeded in popularizing it. Now, chemo is making so much money for everyone involved, it is more lucrative than prostitution, heroin, and crack combined and about equally as unethical. So let’s all run for the cure. And don’t forget to wear your pink ribbons. You stupid ignorant fools. Sorry for the lack of sympathy but really which is worse, harsh words or dying from your own stupid submission to the infallibility of the Religion of orthodox medicine.
