Ukraine has now stationed well over 100,000 troops and large quantities of hardware in the war-torn Donbass region, the Russian Foreign Ministry alleged on Wednesday morning. Tensions are rising rapidly between Russia and Ukraine as they seem to be on the brink of war once again.

Speaking at a briefing on Wednesday, diplomatic spokeswoman Maria Zakharova claimed that “the Armed Forces of Ukraine are increasing [their] military force, pulling heavy equipment and personnel.”

“According to some reports, the number of troops… in the conflict zone already reaches 125,000 people, and this, if anyone does not know, is half of the entire composition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” she said. –RT

At the end of November, the head of Ukraine’s military intelligence service, Kirill Budanov, said advanced US-made Javelin systems had been tested by Kiev’s troops and had been deployed to Donbass. A few hours later, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that it was a concerning development that increased the prospect of a full-blown conflict in the region. “In recent weeks, we have seen a stream of consciousness from the Ukrainian leadership – especially when it comes to the military – that is excessively inflamed and dangerous,” he said, according to RT.

The Kremlin also warned it could blow up 32 GPS satellites with its new anti-satellite technology, ASAT, which it tested Nov. 15 on a retired Soviet Tselina-D satellite, according to numerous news reports. “Russia has demonstrated a deliberate disregard for the security, safety, stability, and long-term sustainability of the space domain for all nations,” Gen. James Dickinson, commander of U.S. Space Command, said. “Russia’s tests of direct-ascent anti-satellite weapons clearly demonstrate that Russia continues to pursue counter space weapon systems that undermine strategic stability and pose a threat to all nations.”

As of right now, this is all amounting to rhetoric, however, it could become something bigger at any time.  That doesn’t mean war will break out, but we need to watch this and be aware that something could come of it.

      1. That Ukrainians and Russians may go to war is insanity. Who is really causing and feeding this disaster, I have my suspicions based on what both sides risk losing or stand to gain. Who is really behind fueling another war where whites kill whites, Christians kill Christians, Europeans kills Europeans, and in this case Slavs kills Slavs. There is no doubt if the US and every g*dd*m else gets out and leaves them alone, a lot of complications would dissipate and resolutions would be easier to obtain. Besides, it’s no one else’s g*dd*m business. I hope the Ukrainians and Russians work things out and make those who are the real trouble makers pay.

      2. … So much for the element of surprise.

        • There are no surprize Wars any more…Russia takes out 32+ satellites… the world would be F*%# ed. The amount of new scrap metal circling the Earth after that would take out, in short order the Space Station and all other Spy, TV and Telecom satellites ( Think the movie “Gravity” times 100) . The world would be reduced to what ever communications the ocean cable systems could still manage, all over bloody Ukraine!!! I mean really.
Every Army around the world would be blind within hours – you don’t want to think what that will cause in short order.

      3. So sorry, I totally misread
        the headline. I thought they
        were going after Biden.
        I read it as:
HALF OF UKRAINE’S ARMY NOW DEPLOYED TO DUMBASS????

      4. you left out the part about Ukraine doing missile test last summer …for their latest paying customer…Pakistan.

      5. Biden may be teaching the Russians a lesson they won’t forget soon.

        • What is the prez going to do, make them laugh until they can’t take it anymore? The Russians know full well prez JB is merely a manipulated puppet. Say what you will the Russians respected DT. And now frankly, they’re astonished Americans could elect someone who is so incompetent and senile to boot, someone who is so befuddled and completely incapable of the office.
They know the people they have to contend with are people behind the scenes, not the prez, people who very few Americans have heard of or know about. The corruption and incompetence and ignominy of of our officialdom is breathtaking. Our gov’t is truly a kakistocracy.

      6. The Donbass region is one of the most resource rich areas in the world. The USSR had that area for centuries under the Tsars and USSR, Russia wants it back.
Ukraine belongs to the leading mineral-raw countries of the world with a wide range of minerals. Ukraine – 0.4% of the Earth’s surface and 0.8% of the world’s population – has about 5% of the world’s mineral resources.
Coal, oil and natrual gas, oil shale, iron ore, Manganese, copper, Titanium, Uranium, Mercury, gold, graphite, potash salts, building materials (as limestones, chalk, marl, gypsum, clays), building stone, hydromineral resources, Hydropower resources.
Russia needs these resources to dominate Europe and northern Asia, and that is their plan.
