About the author: Michael Snyder is a nationally syndicated writer, media personality and political activist. He is publisher of The Most Important News and the author of four books including The Beginning Of The End and Living A Life That Really Matters.

A lot of Americans are mocking Venezuela right now, but the truth is that what has happened to them could also happen to us very easily.  As you will see below, DARPA is so concerned about the possibility of a cyberattack taking down our power grid that they held an extended exercise recreating such a scenario late last year.  And even though scientists tell us that it is inevitable that a “solar tsunami” will absolutely devastate our power grid at some point, our leaders on the federal level refuse to spend the money that it would take to protect our basic electrical infrastructure.  In addition, Russia, China, North Korea and others have developed extremely advanced EMP weapons, and we have absolutely no protection against them.  One way or another, an extended blackout will eventually happen in the United States, and so we should try to learn some lessons from what is going on in Venezuela right now.

And without a doubt, life is hell in Venezuela at this moment.  The following comes from NPR

Signs of the crisis are everywhere you look in the Venezuelan capital. “Drive around Caracas, and you see long lines of cars waiting for hours at the few gas stations still operational,” NPR’s Philip Reeves reported from the city.

“Motorists park on highways, cell phones aloft, searching for a signal. The rich have taken refuge in luxury hotels. The poor stand in lines in the street,” Reeves added.

The power outage has affected water pumps in some Caracas neighborhoods, meaning that people are waiting to fill water bottles at public locations such as springs.

As food supplies run out, people are becoming increasingly desperate, and desperate people do desperate things.

Hundreds of stores are being looted, and the overwhelmed police are instructing store owners to fend for themselves

Looters smashed shop windows and made off with merchandise in more than 300 businesses across the state along the border with Colombia, the Zulia chapter of business organization Fedecamaras said in a statement.

“About 100 people came into the store and took all the food, the point of sale terminals,” said Maria Centeno, 29, the owner of a store selling food and furniture that was looted on Sunday. “They were people from the community. The police came by and they told me to sort it out myself.”

Of even greater concern is the fact that many people are dying from a lack of medical care.

Without power, there is little that the doctors are able to do, and one mother was forced to actually carry the body of her dead daughter through the streets to a morgue after the local hospital was unable to help her

A severely malnourished 19-year-old girl died in her mother’s arms after doctors in Venezuela were forced to turn her away because a massive blackout shut down a hospital.

Heartbroken mother Elizabeth Díaz was forced to carry her daughter’s body, which weighed just 22 pounds, through the streets to a morgue.

A lot of Americans are mocking what is going on in Venezuela, but the truth is that the exact same thing could happen here too.

Many believe that the extended blackout in Venezuela was caused by a cyberattack, and unfortunately the truth is that the U.S. power grid is also quite vulnerable if someone decided to attack us in the same manner.

Last November, DARPA held a seven day exercise that simulated what would happen if a massive cyberattack suddenly took down our grid…

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency exercise, which took place from Nov. 1 to Nov. 7, was fictional, but it was designed to mimic all the hurdles and uncertainty of a real-world cyberattack that took out power across the nation for weeks on end–a scenario known as a “black start.”

To add realism, the exercise took place on Plum Island, a federal research facility off the north fork of Long Island, where DARPA researchers were able to segregate a portion of the island on its own electric grid.

Over the course of the seven-day exercise, more than 100 people gathered on the island, filling every necessary role to mimic an actual black start.

Of course that is not the only way our power grid could go down for an extended period.

Our sun is capable of producing a “solar tsunami” that could absolutely cripple our electrical grid at any time.  Earlier this week, I came across an article about a gigantic solar tsunami that hit out planet approximately 2,700 years ago

Roughly 2,700 years ago, an unusually powerful solar storm swept past the Earth, scientists announced in a new study. Though it had little to no impact on people in that long ago, pre-industrial and pre-technological world, such an event today would cause widespread power outages along with potentially disastrous communication and navigation failures.

The solar storm in 660 B.C. was about 10 times stronger than any known event in the past 70 years, study lead author Raimund Muscheler said.

But we don’t have to go back that far to find the kind of solar storm that I am talking about.

In 1859, an absolutely enormous solar storm known as “the Carrington Event” hit the United States…

The solar storm of 1859 (also known as the Carrington Event)[1] was a powerful geomagnetic storm during solar cycle 10 (1855–1867). A solar coronal mass ejection (CME) hit Earth’s magnetosphere and induced one of the largest geomagnetic storms on record, September 1–2, 1859. The associated “white light flare” in the solar photosphere was observed and recorded by British astronomers Richard C. Carrington (1826–1875) and Richard Hodgson (1804–1872). The now-standard unique IAU identifier for this flare is SOL1859-09-01.

A solar storm of this magnitude occurring today would cause widespread electrical disruptions, blackouts and damage due to extended outages of the electrical grid.[2][3] The solar storm of 2012 was of similar magnitude, but it passed Earth’s orbit without striking the planet, missing by nine days.[4]

If such a storm hit us right now, electronic devices would be fried from coast to coast and the power grid would be down for the foreseeable future.  Life would dramatically change for all of us, and chaos would be unleashed all across this nation.

This is just one of the reasons why I so strongly encourage people to get prepared, because our government is most definitely not preparing for this kind of threat.

Lastly, I want to also mention that Russia, China and North Korea have been developing highly sophisticated “Super-EMP weapons” that we have no defense for.  The following is from the Washington Free Beacon

Several nations, including China and Russia, are building powerful nuclear bombs designed to produce super-electromagnetic pulse (EMP) waves capable of devastating all electronics—from computers to electric grids—for hundreds of miles, according to a newly-released congressional study.

A report by the now-defunct Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from EMP Attack, for the first time reveals details on how nuclear EMP weapons are integrated into the military doctrines of China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran.

For much more on the threat that we are facing, please see my previous article entitled “Amerigeddon: Are You Ready For The Chaos That Will Ensue When The Power Grid Is Brought Down?”

Sadly, most Americans do not understand how vulnerable we are, and when the power suddenly goes out someday they will have no idea what is happening.

So keep a close eye on Venezuela right now, because the exact same things that are happening there will eventually happen here too.

It is just a matter of time.

  1. Solar storms. Shit storms. Beto Carrot Up His Ass O’Rourke is now running.
Beto Tear Down All Walls O’Rourke. Beto The White Obama.
Thank you Texas for this asshole.

Bring on the blackout. Lots of good could be done in the darkness.

      • Nailbanger says:

        I agree,
Bring it, sick of this shit

      • Sgt. Dale says:

        M
I’m with you bring it. Do it to them before they do it to you!!!
        Sgt.

        • Menzoberranzan says:

Speaking of that, I would like to shake the hands of the men that killed all those islamic savages in NZ. They should have burned the damn mosque to the ground too.

          • repr sleepr says:

Exactly what I told my daughter this morning. Now I’m a terrible person. I told her if she didn’t like my gate then don’t swing on it. We now have 49 Good moozlims.

            • Menzoberranzan says:

Let the muslim scum fear for their lives for a change. The news media treat this like it’s the worst thing that ever happened. Death to all islamic savages and the world would be a better place indeed.

              • Kevin2 says:

I have a belt buckle from WWII, on it is “Gott Mitt Uns”, translated “God Is With Us”. It’s a testimonial to hypocrisy. There are plenty of savages who masqueraded as Christians killing completely innocent women and children for conquest. Those people in their religious place were doing nothing to deserve it and its real difficult to convince them, or anyone that they have a monopoly on savage behavior. All that will result from this is retaliation.

                • Menzoberranzan says:

You crack me up sometimes Kevin. I’m sure the islamic savages would welcome you with open arms and shower you with kisses. This attack on them was retaliation for thousands of such attacks on others for a very long time and hopefully there will be more. We cannot co-exist with them when their devil book instructs them to convert or kill. You cannot dispute this fact about them. Innocent? Bullshit.

                • Kevin2 says:

I may “crack you up” but you frighten me. Those people were unarmed bothering no one. You hope for more attacks upon them? Bank on this; God isn’t with us, or them or anyone when it comes to this stuff. All that will transpire from this is retaliation, tit for tat. Too bad those people didn’t have armed security. I’m a Libertarian, the Bill Of Rights applies to everyone, us them, you me.

                • Menzoberranzan says:

The only thing that frightens me is people that are in complete denial regarding the imminent destruction of this country by the importation of people that want to kill us. We’ve already lost our Republic that I suspect Benjamin Franklin knew we would when he said “if you can keep it.” Time to start over and no it won’t be pretty at all. The Bill of Rights is dead.

                • Kevin2 says:

” by the importation of people that want to kill us.”

Pray tell who are these people? Criminal illegal aliens agenda is to get rich selling dope. They’ll kill but their danger is trival compared to the Blanksters, Globalists who have hijacked political power, drain funds and Us blood for their globalist conquests and eviscerate US manufacturing for virtual foreign slave labor.

                • Menzoberranzan says:

Who the hell do you think I’m talking about, Kevin? Islamic savages that are fraudulently considered refugees from Africa and the middle east.

                • Menzoberranzan says:

They are bringing these muslim savages in under the radar and will do to us what they’ve done to Europe. I know the globalist scum are pulling the strings but I don’t see any of them around to shoot.

                • Kevin2 says:

                  Menzoberranzan

The Islamic population in the US is half of one percent. There are people destroying the country; seen Detroit? It looks like a bomb went off there. It’s indicative of rust belt cities throughout the US. Newsflash, “Islamic Savages” didn’t destroy those cities, globalists and the politicians in their pocket did.

OBTW, seen video of WTC #7? Seen wreckage of a jet at the Pentagon? I’m not making allegations, just stating facts that conflict with the official narrative.

              • Esther Cook says:

Quran actually says there is no compulsion in religion and many wonderful Muslims live up to that. They helped Jews after Pittsburg and today Jews stand with them.
And then there are the savages. “Jihadists” the Inquisition, etc. etc.
How are you making YOUR faith look? Many posting here chose Satan. Truly, there is a better choice.

  2. Old Guy says:

I does seem plausible that a grid down is the most likely SHTF event we need to prep for at this time. All I ever really wanted to do is Draw My Social Security Ponzi check and play Hobby farm the rest of my days. That has been working pretty good for the last 5 years. However like most good things it likely will not last.

    • Paranoid says:

FYI I just opened a can of BEAR CREEK dried potato soup mix freshness dated 2004 added some chicken & Stock plus some corn and dried onions, it’s very good.

      • Genius says:

I have about 8 cases of pre=2K food that the beggars can have. Maybe a sack or 2 of wheat also. After that, you never know what is in store (except me) if you try and take my supplies. Re-canned meat and treats are yummy with sodium chlorate as spice lol. If I die… YOU die too! (if you survive the pre eating blast).

    • jakartaman says:

Russia for one has satellites above the USA right now loaded with EMP designed nukes.
I however do not believe that any major country will use EMP out of fear of retaliation. – Too much to lose.
However, Pakistan, N. Korea, Iran etc they could and may use EMP. It is rather easy to accomplish.

    • RED Leader says:

If you are prepping for long term Grid Down, you are prepping everything except nuke fallout.

  3. megadeadbeat says:

what if this event in Venezuela was done by the rooskies or the chicoms as a test to see how well and how long it took to affect people, then they can figure USA will go twice as fast!!!! we are a bunch of zombies and lazy turds….just sayin…and no not all are….

    • Paranoid says:

I worked with some Venzs in the oil fields (sent on a training job 20 years ago.) I’ll bet you $1000 that their oilfields and power grid are not computer hackable. Absolutely no doubt in my mind most of their stuff is 1950’s Tech, anything that gets into the 60-70’S is considered NEW and that no significant preventive maintenance has been done in 10 years.

  4. Gestor says:

A few tornados touched down but not in the immediate area …wind is gusting 60mph.
I’m finding Broadcastify police scanner thats available free for any smart phone to be a handy item today.
Also would recommend a Bluetooth headset for listening.
Get a headset with a boom Mic so one ear is left open for listening to whats going on around you.
If your out and about the police scanner seems to be the best way to find out about roads that are blocked from fallen trees etc..thats where the tv/radio stations get their info so eliminate the middle man.
By using Broadcastify on your celly no mobile scanner needed which eliminates extra equip.
Also you can connect to the weather repeaters.

    • Gestor says:

Two of three bugout routes blocked with downed transformers/powerlines.
      This was a good test.
Definitely need to look at some other options including sheltering in place which has always been like plan C.

      • Capt Sensible says:

Shelter in Place is the Elites plan for you all. Its been tried and tested in the US (Boston bombing), the UK (London bombing), and in parts of the EU.
The Late “Underclass Guy” did 2 videos on this subject which I remember well.
One video warned that the Shelter in Place orders will be enforced by “Civillian” forces – militarised Police and Private Military Contractors due to legal and constitutional hazards of involving the military or declaring Martial Law (which will not be declared because of the Constitutional issues which may arise).
Interestingly it was suggested that foreign mercs and PMC companies would be used due to concerns about domstic ex-military types refusing to fire on civillians to enforce the shelter in place orders.
Well worth tracking down those videos if they still exist.

    • rellik says:

      Gestor,
      No good here,
All government agencies here use secure communications.
Police, fire, civil service, local electrical company.
      You can’t listen in.

      • Gestor says:

Rellik that seems like a matter of public safety. Heck we can even get car to car except when they are serving a felony warrant or something like that then they go side band or cell phone.
Dang man you should at least get fire and rescue. Get those liberals organized and raise some hell.😊

  5. Seminole Wind says:

    OFF TOPIC

15 Rhino’s voted against Trump’s wall today. One was from my home state of Florida, Little Marco! He can rotten in hell before I ever cast a vote again for that dirty rat.

    • Get Real says:

SW, Because it cannot be built for the amount of $$$$ Trump is requesting. Never could, never will be either. Trump had also promised Mexico would pay for it and we all know how that played out. That unrealistic promise was never realistic from day one.

MIT experts and other experts as well have estimated and agreed the border wall to cost at least $40 billion. Eventually, the American taxpayers will be footing the bill. Is that what you want? Higher taxes.

There are other cost-effective alternatives but highly effective solutions.

Those who voted against the wall and/or the State of Emergency have realized Trump is still seeking the wall funding to placate his base when he’s repeatedly been informed of the effective alternatives that will only cost a fraction of what he is requesting.

    • Kevin2 says:

Rand Paul is many things but certainly not a RINO. Actually his Libertarian perspective is true conservatism. I want the wall however I want the separation of power as defined in the US Constitution even more.

  6. Anonymous says:

AOL news today– courts holding gun maker liable for sandy hook shooting… more b.s.

    • Gestor says:

Does that mean they will utilize red flag laws against gun makers?
      No im serious.

    • bb in GA says:

If there is a shred of Constitutional sanity left in this country,…this foolishness will never make it, in the end.

I hope it gets struck down early.

It is in the State Court system of CT as I understand. I don’t know the mechanics of making the jump to the Federal Court System.

SCOTUS if necessary. I hope it is not needed.

      <bb

      • Kevin2 says:

The implications outside of the Second Amendment are huge, the USSC would realize this. Automobiles marketed for their speed along with their actual ability to twice over or more break the interstate speed limit are the “Assault Car”. How can they be marketed when their capacity to break the law is their main point with death as a highly potential result? The trial lawyers are waiting in the wings. Food, how dare you sell anyone unhealthy to children to boot. The thieving attorneys are salivating.

  7. Bill says:

Don’t worry about any possible future events. I looked up this morning and saw several aircraft chem-trailing the f*ck out the sky. By the amount of trails in the sky I could see they are doing this at night too so people can’t see a lot of it. You could see lots of lines, they were parallel and at various angles including 90 degree angles, and other unnatural geometric forms in the sky, from horizon to horizon. When you see an aircraft making a u-turn and continuing spraying you know it is not a passenger plane.
Chemtrails contain aluminum oxide, barium, strontium, copper sulfate, and potassium iodide to name a few. All which are being found in atmospheric samples taken and tested. These compounds are completely unnatural and are also being found in rain, snow, soil, groundwater, and the air we breath, in heavy concentrations. Neither are these compounds found naturally in animal/human tissue or plant life so the effects are destructive. Aluminum oxide is an accelerant, so any sprayed over forest areas may cause vast, highly destructive, and unexplained cause forest fires, as in California recently, and other catastrophic forest fires in recent years.
The US gov’t is a most vile hypocrite, their official US policy is to not tolerate any other gov’t or entity using chemical agents against their populations, as allegedly in Syria, but are spraying millions of tons of poison soup and toxins all over the NA continent every year. Refusing to publicly acknowledge it even though it is heavily documented and video recorded all over the US (and large areas of the planet).
We need to know who is ordering this, who organizes and runs their operations, how is it being paid for, who is involved including all contractors, gov’t agencies and departments, all other known consequences of spraying, and what are their ultimate goals. Of course no one expects any answers.
Chem-trailing is the geo-engineering of the atmosphere, weather, and large areas of land mass. It is killing nature. Large areas of trees are dying wherever they are spraying. Why would the perpetrators do this, no doubt they are fully aware what they are doing. For all the good it probably won’t accomplish everyone should contact their rep.s and senators to demand answers.

    • Ketchupondemand says:

      Good post, Bill.
This spraying is just as serious as anything else we may face.
Mac, how about an article updating this chem spraying?

      • Genius says:

Maybe russia will send us some SAM’s lol. Between the death of the oceans and the spraying and the toxic watse in food This is one sick planet…. If you want info on chemtrails go to … geoengineeringwatch dot org .

    • Yahooie says:

I found this Youtuber quite recently. His background is as a chemical engineer. ht tps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVt3STOc1XNEWOIWYW0UKaA

He digs into chem trailing, 5G, fluoride, additives to man-made fabric, glyphosate (look under What’s Killing the Horses as Santa Anita), and more.

    • Timothius says:

Anybody remember UN Agenda 21? That and the so called need for population control? I believe that chem trails may have something to do with this. All that I can say is! buy ammo, by beans and rice. And some gold and silver too. We’re gonna need em!

  8. rellik says:

For all the disasters, we prep for, one thing really stands out to me, that is don’t get stuck in a city. I haven’t lived in a city or town since 1979. The price of that is lengthy commutes and associated costs in vehicles, time, and general hassels of rural life. But I was always close to a source of clean water( river, creek, or catchment), wood for heat and cooking, food( hobby farm), a well stocked work shop as you have to fix stuff yourself, et al.
The most import prep in my mind is to locate to an area suitable for living without modern “stuff” as modern “stuff” could be unavailable for long periods.

  12. Kevin2 says:

The fragility of “the grid” under non catastrophic circumstances is significant. This started back in the 1970s with PURPA which deregulated utility generation. Generation was the money maker, the grid a money taker. Previous to PURPA the utility companies were private but regulated. They showed necessity to the Public Utility Commission and a rate increase was approved. Maintenance had plenty of funds. Once the Non Utility Generators cut into generation the secure profits dropped as now they had to compete. These Non Utility Generators did not have the responsibility to fund the grid. The grid, known as distribution in the business had a lot of fat from decades of high maintenance funding. They cut into this fat and over the subsequent roughly 4 decades increasingly put aside necessary upgrades. As GTG / HRSG (gas turbine) plants have gained in popularity due to the abundance of natural gas the cost per KW for generating plants has dropped which facilitated even more non utility generators to enter the business. In essence it could be summed up that you have two options.

    A. Cheaper power costs
    or
    B. More expensive but more reliable power supply.

None of the above even addresses the catastrophic EMP / Solar Flare issue.

    • Thanks, Kevin. That explains it a little. I’ve noticed the drop-off in maintenance of the lines and tree growth. There used to be crews working this area every few years and I had friends that made a living climbing for the tree trimming outfits back in the eighties. Now, the only time they come around is when a tree or limb takes out service. I don’t know anybody anymore, that works for an outfit contracted out to the power company.

      • Yahooie says:

In recent years, Maryland has had terrible issues in keeping the power on over any little breeze or afternoon storm came through which would put hundreds out of power. They finally had to do maintenance and tree trimming. Don’t know if that state has completed it all. Glad I live in Virginia.

    • bb in GA says:

Here in NE GA, our rural EMC IS a distribution company.

We are a customer owned, non-profit, CO-OP that was a result of the Feds passing the Rural Electrification Act (REA) in the late 1930s.

There was no electricity in our county until 1939.

Since our Energy is almost all purchased (mostly from GA Power)all grid maintenance is part of our Bill. They do a pretty good job of keeping up the System.

This is one of the few Fed programs I don’t complain about.

As long as there are Generating Companies who are willing to sell KW-HRS to the EMC, and the customer base can pay their Bills, we will have power.

      <bb

      • Kevin2 says:

        bb in GA

Your CO-OP may cover your local grid but power they buy is wheeled to and from great distances. The grip is weak because its not funded as it was before PURPA. GA power doesn’t have the funds it had before PURPA.

    • Asshat says:

Rirrc has a power plant that burns the methane from the dump to generate electric. The guy there told me that our kids kids will be dead one gone and the gas will still be running the plant. Sometimes the plant has venting problems and you can smell the dump. They also put up 5 wind turbines and solar farms. There is off shore wind turbines too. Have to say it they are looking into the future. They have replaced a lot of the telephone poles and upgraded the transformers. They cut trees back that are in danger of falling on the lines too. I can’t see the grid going down. When storms hit they get the power back on fast. For some reason I never lose power on my street. The grid down scenario is way overblown. gotta say national grid is doing a great job however my electric bill is $250 a month and $300 when the central air is on. You want reliable electric service you can’t bitch about how expensive it is.

      • Timothius says:

However, when the EMP goes off al of that will be dead anyway. The electrical companies, supply trucks, food stores, and anything else that uses electrical power will be dead! Including your cars. Oh! By the way, I doubt you’ll be able to get your money out of the bank either! It’ll be the Stone Age. Got gold got silver? You may want get some. Go back a thousand ears ago, they’ll ca to use it! Good luck all!

  13. Capt Sensible says:

Long term EMP blackouts are a PSYOP –

The Underclass Guy (an insider believed linked to British intel who died in 2018) read out a quote in one of his videos. The quote contained some forgotten but once reasonably well known info from an old Cold War Warrior regarding “Starfish” (a nuclear test in the 60’s):

“Since that test we have ensured that there are layers upon layers of redundancy in the systems of generation and transmission. The main grid has been redesigned or modified to fail in order to protect it. I cant and wont go into the details but yes, the the grid will go down if we take hits, but it wont stay down for long, unless we decide there is a tactical or strategic reason to keep it down. Will civies suffer? Yes of course they will, but only the weakest, and if we are taking hits then we will be at war and they would not make it anyway. Of course, the enemy know they can take down our grid, but they also know they cant keep it down”.
    End quote.

If the above is true, and the grid is much better protected and more resilient than most people realise, talk of a civilisational collapse occuring if the power is switched off is greatly exagerated – or more likely – a deliberate PSYOP to keep the sheeple off ballance.

The Late Underclass Guy also stated that (I paraphrase), “EMP is a term used to scare the non-scientific and under-informed or missinformed. The Elite have not invested so much time, effort, and blood into herding the people into an electronic prison of electronic everything, and especially towards electronic currency, only for it all to be swept away by some fancy EMP generators or a pulse from a high altitude air burst. If the electric plug ever gets pulled and stays pulled, you can bet your shorts it is all by design and for some purpose related to herding the people in a particular direction”.

    Worth thinking about.

I’m trying to find the negative aspect of my latest prep and can’t find one.
Since most records are being stored digitally there seems to be a glut of high end file cabinets available.
I just bought four at auction and bolted them together and to the floor and walls. They have four drawers with double ball bearing slides so they were built to handle a lot of weight.
Someone had the insightfulness to tape the Keys inside that was a big plus. They also have a 1hr fire rating.
What I’m wondering now is if they will serve double duty as a faraday cage?

    • Genius says:

No they won’t. They are not sealed. Try a galvanized garbage can with a foam liner. Ground it too. One way to do a simple check is put a radio inside it with the volume up all the way and close it. If you still hear the radio it probably won’t work. Or bury yer stuff in a pvc tube 3 feet in the ground.

      • bb in GA says:

For Your Consideration…They didn’t specify a safe depth but talk about underground cables which are often 3 feet or more below ground.

Myth: When an EMP hits the ground, the induced electric currents either head directly toward the center of the earth or they just vanish from existence.

Fact: When EMP (or lightning) hits the ground, the currents tend to spread out horizontally. These ground currents can do great damage, especially to underground cables of all kinds. Metal conduits are of little help, and may actually make the situation worse by providing a path for underground currents which can, in turn, induce large voltage spikes on the underground lines inside of the conduits. A large amount of damage has actually occurred due to these underground currents, due to both lightning strikes and nuclear EMP. This is one reason that so much of the information on the internet on grounding and on underground cabling is pure nonsense. Large variations in soil conductivity makes the ground current situation even more complex.

        • Genius says:

Ummm thats why I said PVC not metal for burial. The metal trash can that is lined and grounded takes the current into the ground where it is spread out. If you get a DIRECT emp hit probably ain’t nuthin gonna save yer stuff. I have backup everything in a trashcan. If it works.. great if not… dammit!

Most comm cables and power cables have an outer jacket of plastic (in some cases PVC, but often HDPE)

I worked in that industry for decades. I think some of the coupling at least for part of the EMP is based on length.

Your buried stash is short and likely vertical which will likely help.

Or do you want to keep them?Lets keep them and see what happens. What’s the definition of insanity? Let’s do it again and again? Very entertaining?Target practice? But my wife?

    • T.H., Don’t you mean 300 million, the number of Americans.

There are less than 7 billion people in the world.

You know, it isn’t the idea of having a smaller population that troubles most people, it’s who chooses and on what basis and by which means. There seems to be an intention to lower the quality of the majority so I’m thinking that they will kill off the most able. That is the opposite of how it would work if I master minded a population reduction.

There are entire countries with an IQ so low that they can not function in the modern world. If they became sterile, that useless bunch would simply die-off like insects after being sprayed. It might offend some people but it would be a better world without them. The same goes for other undesirables. If they don’t reproduce, it would be a better world. Now who chooses. When there is an EMP in a land where the majority are capable like in the USA, too many valuable people are killed. That’s not helpful unless your goal is to enslave the survivors.

Most people know the basics of security. Here are some ideas that may help enhance your security

measures and give you a better chance of escaping threats.

1: Security window film: Using high strength window film greatly reduces ability to break in through windows and is blast resistant. Learn more here.. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Window_Film/Solutions/Markets-Products/Commercial/Safety-Security_Window_Films/Ultra_Protection_Series/

2: Solid steel/fiberglass doors: Most exterior doors are wood and can be crashed through without much problem. Use fire rated steel or fiberglass doors with heavy duty hinges. Also reinforce the door frames with either steel and bolts or wood beams and deep lag bolts. Interior doors should also at a minimum be solid wood. Remember the movies where the main doors had the wood beam across them held in by steel U shaped brackets? You can do that too pretty easily!

#3: Shrubery: Plant window high thorn bushes under your windows at least 2 feet out. This will certainly slow down or even stop anyone trying to get window access. Plant berries if you want then you can also harvest food from your effort!

#4 Strategicly placed furniture: Most home crimes are likely to happen at night when your in bed. Use a fairly tall bookcase packed with books either on the outside or inside of the bedroom wall that faces into the homes interior. This will make an effective bullet stop in the event of a firefight. Leave a gap in the books just large enough to shoot and see whats outside the wall. Cut the drywall out behind the window you made in the bookshelf. If someone breaks in you can engage them without being seen and have some protection. Also have a lock on your door into the room. Use this with a dresser too or any heavy furniture you can pack with stopping material. This is for any room you want to have a form of cover in a firefight.

#5 Surviellance cameras: Cameras and monitors are not very expensive and will give you a great advantage should you come under siege. Place a camera on the front, back, sides or any place that you feel is best around your house. Night vision cameras are best and cheap too. Have a monitor in your bedroom and saferoom or wherever you feel you need it. Here are some links to get you started..

Put a camera in your living space inside to see whats going on in your bedroom etc. You can also get 4 channel monitors. For long distance surviellance use wireless with this… http://www.ebay.com/itm/Audio-Video-Transmitter-Sender-Receiver-2-4GHz-Wireless-3W-4channel-US-Delivery-/191331665027?pt=US_Audio_Video_Transmitters&hash=item2c8c418483

#6 Gas grenades: These will help protect your home while your away. Guaranteed to scare the crap out of anyone! http://www.burglarbomb.com/

#7 Floor escape hatches: Make a hatch in the floor of a closet or other unoticable place as a way to get under the house and away if you have under house access. Make sure you can close it after you enter and it remains unseen. Once under the house make an exit to underneath a deck or getaway area. This is another good place for a monitor for your surviellance. Place a 12 volt battery nearby to power the monitor.

#8 Escape routes: Make an escape route from your home concealed by plants/bushes, anything that can be used to hide you and get you away from the house. You can also bury a septic tank with a hatch that is concealed to hide in next to the house or getaway area.

#9 Safe rooms: You can build a good safe room out of solidly filled concrete blocks and a good security door. Make sure you can access it easily and keep it stocked with water, food, cellphone or 2 way radio.

#10 Smoke bomms: You can use smoke grenades to fill your house with smoke. This will confuse the intruder and give you an opportunity to get away since you already know the layout of your house and they don’t.

#11 Alarm systems: A good battery backup home alarm is essential. Here is one that is affordable, long range, has many many accessories, battery backup… http://www.skylinkhome.com/

#12 Motion detector lights: These are cheap and available everywhere. Install them on all sides of your house and if you want add some to the inside too! Night lights also help, make sure they expose the area you want too see NOT the area you will defend from!

#13 Hiding spots: Make false walls or hidden floor comartments to hide your valuables. To protect against fire bury your items in a well sealed pvc tube outside. Make sure any firearms are accessible!

#14 Driveway alarms: These are fairly cheap and great to have! If you need long distance (mine works 1/2 mile away) try this… http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dakota-Alert-Radio-Transmitter-Kit-DK-MURS-HT-KIT-/301238844091?pt=US_Surveillance_Security_Systems&hash=item46233bfabb#ht_2336wt_1006 search around for the best price..

#15 Distractions: At home depot you can buy remote control light switches for about 15 bucks. Use these to operate lights or anything else that will take attention away from the area you are in. For example.. You are in your bedroom and have the bookcase window mentioned earlier. Someone breaks in and its dark. You turn on a light that is the opposite direction from you and it will make them immediately focus on that area meanwhile you do what you need to do from your bookcase window..

Thats it for now I hope this helps you. I will have another post on force multipliers before long so watch for it. Be safe and prep on!

The links are old but you can still search the stuff on ebay.

Good for stopping hound dogs too. Just use yer brain and you can outsmart the enemy with simple tricks. Fireworks are handy too. Have some cigarettes rolled with pipe tobacco (burns to the end) for time delay fuses. I better stfu now before I get in trouble. To defeat an enemy, you must be able to think like the enemy….

He had XXXL because he’s so fat

He read all the fear porn and bought shit from the ads

The world will end soon good god and eeegads!

He had freeze dried water and freeze dried beer

For any day now the end would be here

With a pallet of chips and onion dip too

He was pretty sure he could make it through

His nails were chewed right down to the bone

            What’s that I hear, I think it’s a drone

His pants were filled with a big mighty mess

He wondered how they got his address

A big heart attack took out the old slob

And so goes the story of patriot Bob…

  19. As I am a proponent of positivity I still am a realist that knows negativity exists so that we can enjoy positivity. With that said great article and always be prepared. I am so that if it ever comes down to it I can survive so that someone positive in the whole disaster can come out of it to build a better world. Thanks for the awareness!

It appears some folks in New Zeland tried to solve their immigration problems?

  22. Anyone read the manifesto he wrote? I haven’t read the whole thing tl;dr, but here’s a couple points I gleaned from it:

He’s against the ethnic and cultural genocide of the white European race (reason for the attack). People should stay in their own country so as not to dilute the Caucasian race. Immigration of third world people will cause whites to be out bred.

He went from being a communist to an anarchist to a libertarian to an eco-fascist.

He wants to cause a civil war in the US between the pro and con factions of the 2nd amendment. This will fracture along racial lines with the whites/2nd supporters winning.

He poses a bunch of questions throughout the paper. I just picked out two:

Q: Were/are you a supporter of Donald Trump?
A: As a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose? Sure. As a policy maker and a leader? Dear god, no.

Q: Do you believe you will be released from prison?
A: I do not just expect to be released, but I also expect an eventual Nobel Peace prize, as was awarded to the terrorist Nelson Mandela once his own people achieved victory and power.
