Social justice warriors and media pundits better lawyer up, because Covington Catholic’s Nick Sandmann isn’t playing around. The teenager, who became the target of racist accusations and doxxing in January, has begun filing lawsuits against those who libeled him, called for the release of his personal information and organized battalions of online social media accounts to threaten him.

On Tuesday, lawyers for Sandmann filed a massive $250 million dollar lawsuit against the Jeff Bezos owned Washington Post, one of the leading media companies behind the narrative.

As noted by The Daily Wire:

The lawsuit accuses The Washington Post of targeting Sandmann “because he was the white, Catholic student wearing a red ‘Make America Great Again’ souvenir cap on a school field trip to the January 18 March for Life in Washington, D.C. when he was unexpectedly and suddenly confronted by Nathan Phillips (‘Phillips’), a known Native American activist, who beat a drum and sang loudly within inches of his face (‘the January 18 incident’).”

“In targeting and bullying Nicholas by falsely accusing him of instigating the January 18 incident, the Post conveyed that Nicholas engaged in acts of racism by “swarming” Phillips, “blocking” his exit away from the students, and otherwise engaging in racist misconduct,” the lawsuit continued. “The Post ignored basic journalist standards because it wanted to advance its well-known and easily documented, biased agenda against President Donald J. Trump (“the President”) by impugning individuals perceived to be supporters of the President.”

Full report

Last month Sandmann’s attorneys sent cease and desist letters to scores of media stations, individual journalists and owners of social media accounts warning them of potential forthcoming lawsuits.

Included in this list were media pundits from CNN, The Washington Post and The New York Times. Hollywood personalities including Alyssa Milano, Kathy Griffin, Bill Maher and Jim Carrey also received letters.

It is not clear if lawsuits will be filed for everyone on the list, but today’s filing has no doubt sent shivers down the spines of those who engaged in online bullying tactics to destroy the life of a teenager who did nothing more than stand still while waiting for his school bus to pick him up.

These are just wealth-redistribution and speech controls under secular rightists, rather than secular leftists.

Someone speaking to your value system (I am not very good at that) can probably play you like a fiddle.

  2. Justice says:

I hope these situations, the Covington Student and the Faked Hate Crime Against Jussie Smollet, have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Press is the enemy of America. At least they are to THIS American!

    • I want to share your sentiment, but honestly, there are millions on the Left waiting for the next scandal.

Kavanaugh… Covington… Smollet… we should have something new within the next week or two…

    • Kevin2 says:

      Justice

“the Press is the enemy of America”

No, the press isn’t the enemy, its owners are. Allowing a quasi monopolization of the press with the Clinton signed Telecommunications Act Of 1996 is the structure used to control the narratives and manipulate public opinion.

We don’t have a “Free Press” we have an “Owned Press”.

      • Whatever Works says:

As such, this “Press” has no constitutional protections as it is not acting like “The Press” (despite credentials saying otherwise). It is a propaganda machine, sold to the highest liberal bidder. I would like to see its “freedoms” challenged on that point. I have no idea on how that may be done, but just as everybody can’t just walk into the White House claiming to be a member of the Press, everybody walking around pretending to be such should also be forced to produce some reasonable facsimile of unbiased, factual reporting before they are let in.

Too many useless/worthless college degrees out there these days and sad to say, Journalism, is one of them.

    • Karl V. says:

Just imagine what they would have done to Nick Sandmann if he had been wearing a ‘NRA’ shirt…!

  3. Kevin2 says:

Then again it might just be the exercising of the rights guaranteed in the 7th Amendment with wealth redistribution from those committing a tort to those negatively effected by it.

In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

In the end the final arbiter will be the truth, the decider a jury of your peers.

  4. Beaumont 2.0 says:

The first time I heard of this — blind, without video — it started to sound very nice.

Black Hebrew Israelite Kangs vs. preppy students.

So, drum of peace is played.

    (Up whitey’s nose.)

I have instructed the neighborhood watch not to lay a finger on them, provided that no medical harm or property damage is occurring.

  5. the Lone Ranger says:

    Good for this young man!

I hope the bullies he is suing pay him every cent!

  6. I hope the kid cleans WaPo out. I wish more people would get lawyers and go after the liars and propagandists in the MSM.

  7. Cyberrifles says:

I hope he won’t be bullied and see these suits through.

  8. Bert says:

    Go Kid Go!!

Too bad you can’t also sue the race baiting CNN/CBS/NBC/ABC, the race baiting negroes and that damn race baiting Indian.

A big $250,000,000 victory might make fake news media sober up. Then again, that is just pocket change for them.

  9. Rock Roller says:

That kid really held his ground and acted maturely considering he had a mob of so called adults screaming threats at him and chief needs a tooth beating a drum in his face. Then a liberal media smear campaign, with unhinged leftist whackjob “celebrities” tweet threatening his life and those of his classmates, grown men and women threatening a teenager simply because he is pro-life and wore a MAGA hat. Hope he wins the lawsuit against that biased rag of a newspaper and brings every last one of the participating libtard celebrities financially to their knees !

  10. Journalism is in the toilet. Integrity? What an archaic concept.

Even if the kid gets a big payoff and the newspaper admits that “mistakes were made”, it won’t prevent the paper from continuing
to pursue its own political agenda, and writing things that are untrue.

The alt right political prisoners from Charlottesville have been lied about and unfairly imprisoned.

It would be nice if they prevail against an unethical system, which includes journalists that twist facts and make up stories.

    • Nonya Business says:

My hope is that if this paper got sued and lost a few times, the awards would keep getting bigger. This would not only hurt the paper financially, but would send a message by forcing people out of their jobs because no insurance company would cover them unless people changes were made? Also, after losing a few court cases, could Bezos himself be sued for allowing/promoting a long-standing, proven pattern of this crap?

    • Yahooie says:

Maybe he’ll own it next year. Wouldn’t that be an interesting twist?

  11. Maranatha says:

Never compromise with the Luciferians as they don’t respect it. Nail their hide to the wall.

Now I understand why Hell is necessary.

    • Paranoid says:

Hell is required because you cannot make microwave popcorn in Heaven, no power plants.

      • Maranatha says:

Your wisecrack which is intended to be funny instead inspires pity and disgust. You remind me of patients who were told to stop smoking to improve what life they had remaining because they had cancer, and instead they gleefully quipped they were going to smoke twice as much to enjoy that while they could.

        What a waste…and so foolish. It’s intentional self-sabotage.

Your statement is the exact opposite of survival and ancestral skills.

    • I hate to break the bad news, but there is no hell that will get recompense for their crimes. It must be done here.

      • Beaumont 2.0 says:

Then, make peace with the fact that your administration is not very cultural-conservative. When defending yourself, in the commonly understood way, you are like competing gangs in mutual combat. Morally equivalent, in the eyes of the law.

  12. Maranatha says:

There are 54 potential defendants that could be sued who made libelous claims. I hope every single one is sued and bankrupted even the dioceses, because they especially should be shepherding their fellow Christians but instead lied in written statements.

Destroy them. It is the only thing Luciferians respect.

    • Maranatha says:

      htt ps://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-02-19/covington-high-school-student-files-250-million-defamation-suit-against-washington

Those who sought to destroy the lives of teenagers who were sacrificing their time to protect babies in the womb, should have their lives destroyed. Fair is fair.

    • Cat Herder says:

I hope that kid’s suit is for $250 million per each named individual on the list. 54 x $250 million would send a fairly decent message to the rest to give them a clear understanding that participation in the long jump to conclusions event in the hypocrisy olympics doesn’t win you gold medals.
      Be well.
      Cat

  13. Anonymous says:

How can anyone look at the video of the confrontation and not conclude that Phillips was trying to provoke violence? Sandmann kept his cool and didn’t respond with violence. Had he not, the liberal media would have have given us crocodile tears about how a young, white teenager had assaulted an old, Indian man. I haven’t bought a Washington Post since I gave up fishing.

  14. Whatever Works says:

Well, it’s a start. Can’t wait to see who else he sues and for what amounts. It’s going to be interesting regardless. It would be nice to believe that truth will prevail, but at least it will get an airing.

  15. Anonymous says:

I wish him well and hope he wins.

It will be interesting to watch this play out, the way the Court handles in in particular.

  16. Kevin2 says:

The Washington Post will use the shield of the First Amendment and as a Libertarian I’m torn. They have an implied, but not codified expectation to print the truth as best as it can be determined. Historically the media has failed, through accident, incompetence or design. I don’t know case law regarding this but I suspect it will not be advantageous for the plaintiff. The main cause for concern isn’t a random unjustified by facts rush to judgment but rather the unified non objectivity across the main stream media that has the functional appearance of being orchestrated.

  17. Kevin2 says:

I’m torn being a Libertarian of any attack upon the media. They have an expectation to print the truth as best as it can be determined at the time but that is not a codified requirement. I suspect case law will not bode well for the plaintiff in this regard. The problem isn’t a media source getting it wrong but rather the across the board reporting. It certainly appears to the reasonably astute that there is an orchestration of reporting. It’s illogical to believe that it’s the product of accident or ineptitude and the logical conclusion is that we have a controlled press.

    • Kevin2 says:

If anyone is confused by the two above very similar postings I didn’t think the first on (upper) went through and I hurriedly created the bottom before I had to leave the computer.

  18. jakartaman says:

    How sweet it is!!
I hope this starts a trend that turns into a tidal wave!
What I have beed saying for some time is Where is our overseers – The FCC is being paid to do nothing – Trump needs to do something about this do nothing agency.
Social media, print media and TV all need to be broken up – too much power in the hands of a few. The few being the left mega rich globalist

  19. Abaddon says:

At least this kid’s lawyers are doing something to push back on the lefts never ending McCarthyism like witch hunt against conservatives. That is more than I can say for the corrupt DOJ.

  20. Montana Guy says:

Do we really expect a failed government and more lawyers applying laws of a fallen republic to come to the ‘rescue’? Would you expect a dead tree to bear fruit?

Sandmann was a minor in dangerous Sodom for the first time. His parents were responsible for him. They choose those in charge of his well-being in Sodom. They choose his school and are responsible for overseeing its conduct.

$250,000 for damages? You think that is warranted? So its about money. How did Americans become so thin-skinned and legalistic? Sandmann is an awesome kid. As his Father I would have been absolutely proud of him, congratulated him on his behavior and said, ‘Who gives a rat’s patootie what others say?’ We and those who love you know the truth. Move ahead.

    • Yahooie says:

“Would you expect a dead tree to bear fruit?” No, but we can chop out the parts that block the road ahead.

We live in a litigious society. The incident that Sandmann experienced effected not only himself but also his school where assorted threats were received and much of his community. If the incident were simply ignored by Sandmann’s guardians (parents), it would negatively effect the remainder of his life beginning with his entry to college.

  21. Stephen F says:

A message to Nick: Don’t trust lawyers any farther than you can throw them.

  22. He should have sued them for $250 billion…..that would really send shivers down there spineless spines. If the Judge doesn’t throw it out for $250 mil…he wouldn’t throw it out for $250 billion. And a jury (who probably hates the media also) just might award him the MegaJackpot. Essentially bankrupting the Wash Post. Then use the lawsuit funds to go after the rest of them (CNN, MSNBC, etc…) with a team of high-powered, expensive lawyers. Bring the whole friggin evil media mogals to their knees.!!!!!

  23. CoinCrusher says:

TO Mr. Sandmann and his attorney’s, YOU MUST follow through with these lawsuits; ALL OF THEM. We, your supporters Mr. Sandmann, need you to follow through in its entirety because you are probably the only opportunity we’ll get at this time that can shut these A55H0LE5 up. YOU, YOU can change things in a big way; and for the very good. It may seem like you’re being the problem with these huge number lawsuits but that’s the ONLY thing these people understand; i.e., loss of money and/or power. You have the chance to shut these people up from doing these despicable acts over and over in the future. They are not journalists; they are entertainers and that’s NOT what our, America’s, new organizations are supposed to be about. File against them all and promise the country that you will be donating MOST, NOT ALL, as you certainly deserve a HUGE chunk of money, to various charities. This will also prevent them from labeling you, AGAIN. Thank you for standing up to these thugs.

  24. bb in GA says:

Remember that the bar is very high in the US for slander and libel:

1.) The spoken or published material must be false.

2.) There must be evidence of damage resulting from the untrue material spoken or published.

3.) The perpetrator has to have knowledge that the material spoken or published was NOT true.

Number 1 and 2 are relatively easy to prove.

Number 3 is the usual point of failure in the plantiff’s case.

Stack that on top of the Traditional Understanding of “Freedom of the Press” and you see Mr Sandmann has a difficult road ahead…

  25. Maranatha says:

Let’s just have the Civil War and be done with it. It’s obvious every Democrat is my enemy. I don’t tolerate communists or baby killers.

  26. Maranatha says:

    htt ps://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/02/oregon-legislators-push-to-lower-voting-age-to-16/
Hey if the Democrats lack enough votes, just lower the voting age to 16 to hoodwink gullible teenagers. Simple. And if that won’t suffice, just make it 14!

When are going to realize that Democrats are your mortal enemies? Everything a Republican holds dear. Everything that a rural citizen holds dear. Everything that a patriotic nationalist holds dear is trashed by the Democrats.

They hate the Constitution, babies, minorities, natural rights capitalism, GOD, Jesus Christ, Christianity, firearms, and morality.

They love socialism and communism, atheism, anarchy, Lucifer, witchcraft, abortion, feminism, transgenders, free trade, illegal aliens, urban centers, gun seizures, drug use, Hollyweird, and totally disbelieve in objective morality.

    • Yahooie says:

They don’t believe in Mom and apple pie either.

      • Maranatha says:

Just get back from a date? A catch like you could still marry again.

        • Yahooie says:

I live in Northern Virginia. I came here in the early 80s because there is always work. My type of person is not considered a good catch in this area. I have seldom dated most likely due to this. I’ve turned down almost as many dates because there was only one thing on the guy’s mind and it wasn’t fishing. Yeah, I’m tired of being alone.

My big goal right now is to get my house fixed up, sold, and move somewhere else.

  27. Maranatha says:

Every single one of us is biased. It is impossible to write in an unbiased way. Every so-called journalist is biased, they just once hid it more, but their work has NEVER been objective.

This is easily seen in American newspapers even during colonial times. And every paper began heavily editorializing the news, not just presenting it, and thus it became propaganda. You can see that in union politics, Democrat and Republican papers, civil rights, pro-war and anti-war papers, etc.

Now it is grotesquely evident. This is why libel laws need to be revisited. That is what Clarence Thomas is suggesting.

  28. Captn.Jack says:

I hope he sues the idiot Jim Kerry all the way back to Canada
