Editor’s Comment: We’re being fleeced. There really is no doubt about it. It isn’t just corruption in general, or just the influence of lobbyists, special interests and corporations; it is a whole sale disregard for the future of this country. And every member of Congress knows it.

No one can serve two masters, and those who have been “elected” to Congress, and who are reelected term after term mainly through fundraising, are clearly not serving the people in any way. It is something else – something more like the mobsters portrayed in Goodfellas, who outwardly take on a partnership with a restaurant, but in reality, loot it and defraud it every chance they get, until there is nothing left. The United States, with is proud history and prior role of leadership and as a beacon of freedom, is at this late stage… how long can anyone really expect appearances to be kept up.

Member Of Congress: It’s Easy ‘To Manipulate A Nation Of Naive, Self-Absorbed Sheep’

by Michael Snyder

You may not believe the incredible things that one member of Congress is saying about the corruption of our political system and the gullibility of the American people.  In a brand new book entitled “The Confessions of Congressman X“, one anonymous member of the U.S. House of Representatives confesses that he hardly ever reads the bills that he votes on, that his main job is to get reelected, and that it is “far easier than you think to manipulate a nation of naive, self-absorbed sheep who crave instant gratification”.  This book is being published by Mill City Press, and it is being billed as “a devastating inside look at the dark side of Congress as revealed by one of its own.”  I don’t know if you would classify this anonymous member of Congress as “brave” since he does not wish to reveal his identity, but the things that he is admitting confirm suspicions that many of us have had for a very long time.  Just check out a few of the most important quotes from his book…

-“Most of my colleagues are dishonest career politicians who revel in the power and special-interest money that’s lavished upon them.”

-“My main job is to keep my job, to get reelected. It takes precedence over everything.”

-“Fundraising is so time consuming I seldom read any bills I vote on. Like many of my colleagues, I don’t know how the legislation will be implemented, or what it’ll cost.”

-“Voters are incredibly ignorant and know little about our form of government and how it works.”

-“It’s far easier than you think to manipulate a nation of naive, self-absorbed sheep who crave instant gratification.”

-“It’s about getting credit now, lookin’ good for the upcoming election.”

-“We spend money we don’t have and blithely mortgage the future with a wink and a nod. Screw the next generation.”

That last quote made me want to tear my hair out.

This is exactly what I have been saying for years.

One of the things that will really get me ranting is the national debt.  Since Barack Obama entered the White House, we have been stealing an average of more than 100 million dollars from future generations of Americans every single hour of every single day.

What we are doing to future generations of Americans is beyond criminal.  In a just society, a whole lot of our politicians would be going to prison over this.  And now this anonymous member of Congress is openly admitting that they understand precisely what they are doing.

And in the quotes above you can see the contempt that our career politicians have for the American people.  They know that society has become so “dumbed-down” that it is easy to trick and manipulate most of the population.  And they are also very well aware that the key to staying in office is raising as much money as possible.  In fact, according to the Washington Post the candidate that spends the most money wins 91 percent of the time.

So that is why these Congress critters spend as much time as possible raising money.  If they want to keep their jobs, that is what they need to do.  Whether they actually do any good for their constituents is basically immaterial.  If you want to read more of what this particular anonymous member of Congress has to say, you can find the book right here.  I think that because of these revelations this is going to be one of the most important political books to come out in decades.

In the end, I believe that our system of governance is heading for an inevitable implosion.  Even now, most Americans have completely lost faith in the way that we are being governed.  According to an average of polls compiled by Real Clear Politics, Congress has a 12.8 percent approval rating and a 78.8 percent disapproval rating right at this moment.

Those are absolutely stunning numbers.

And trust in the main institution propping up faith in our system of government has also fallen to extraordinary lows.  One recent survey discovered that only 6 percent of all Americans have “a lot of confidence” in the mainstream media at this point…

Trust in the news media is being eroded by perceptions of inaccuracy and bias, fueled in part by Americans’ skepticism about what they read on social media.

Just 6 percent of people say they have a lot of confidence in the media, putting the news industry about equal to Congress and well below the public’s view of other institutions.

There are lots and lots of reasons why the American people are dissatisfied, and I write about many of them on my website.  But it isn’t just the “big issues” that are upsetting people.  Today, we have gotten to a point where the government cannot seem to perform even the most basic functions such as fixing our roads and protecting our power grid.  The following comes from CNBC

America is falling apart. And the repair bill is getting bigger.

That’s the conclusion of the latest “report card” on American roads, bridges, airports, power grid and other critical infrastructure from the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Over the next decade, it would cost more than $3.3 trillion to keep up with repairs and replacements, but based on current funding levels, the nation will come up more than $1.4 trillion short, the group says. When projected to 2040, the shortfall is expected to top $5 trillion, unless new funds are allocated.

I would like to believe that it is going to be possible to smoothly reform our system and make it a lot less corrupt.

I would like to believe that we can return to the ideal of “citizen politicians” that our founders envisioned.

But everyone knows that those things are not likely to happen any time soon.  With each passing year, we come closer to resembling other extremely evil and wicked societies that experienced great falls.  What we are doing right now is not even close to being sustainable.  If we continue on this current path, it is only a matter of time before our nation completely implodes.

My hope is that there will be a mass awakening and the United States will be pulled back from the brink at the last moment, but the truth is that it may already be too late for that.

How nice for this POS to admit to doing what we’ve always known. Congressman X, your time is coming, mofo, book or no book. Writing a book about your dastardly deeds doesn’t absolve you of any guilt whatsoever. There are lonely trees everywhere, if anyone gets my drift.

  2. “Screw The Next Generation”: Congressman Admits Disregard for ‘Nation of Naive Self-Absorbed Sheep’

Nobody should be in shock or surprised by this mans words.
This Government is chuck full of his kind – which is the very reason I do not partake in Election(fraud) Year.

These self serving, arrogant Politicians will have their day … at the hands of their Constituents – show no mercy on these sons of bitch’s when that day arrives.

  3. rellik says:

This writer Mr. Snyder always dances around the obvious,
the only way to fix America is to kill off all the professional politicians, Federal bureaucrats, Liberals, Progressives, and union bosses. They can’t be rehabilitated, but they can be recycled.
Most people would consider that sort of action a little extreme. I don’t think it is too extreme, but there aren’t enough of us around to “fix” the problem. So I guess, all we can do is scurry away to our remote hideouts and live as best as we can. In the end God will sort it all out, or if you are an atheist, NOT!

    • Winston Smith says:

Even if you kill them all, what difference will it make? In the end, a new herd of psychopaths will just take their place like they always have. No revolution has ever been able to avoid this because it is human nature. Most people do not want to lead, they want to be led. Thus the good people rarely ever rise to the top. Ron Paul is a good example. He is a decent man but failed to garner popular support because he was not offering to give people crap and was not speaking the language of power. He tried to be intellectual and it got him nowhere. Trump is sparse of specifics and high on emotional language and he has clinched the nomination. That’s because politics is about emotional manipulation of the average person who usually thinks with their feelings rather than logic and reason. Thus the people who will always rise to the top are those who know how to play to this.

What most people fail to understand is that there are two kinds of empathy: Affective and Cognitive. Cognitive empathy is the ability to see and understand the emotions of others while affective empathy is the ability to share in those feelings once they are known. Autistic people usually lack cognitive empathy but usually have normal to higher than normal levels of affective empathy once they understand (through reason or being told bluntly) the feelings of the other person. Psychopaths and sociopaths have normal cognitive empathy but no affective empathy. They use their knowledge of the emotions of others to manipulate them because they cannot see others as having the same value as themselves. Psychopaths tend to be very functional members of society whereas sociopaths are not. Thus most people who reach levels of power tend to be psychopaths because they see only themselves as important.

      • Ordinary Joe says:

That is why history will always repeat itself or as some say, it rhymes. Unfortunately, we are living during the very end phase. It may not happen in my lifetime, but it will happen soon. Collapse can be hurried along with the right input. Just waiting for that false flag.

      • Whatever Works says:

Winston, you are so right. Manipulation is the order of the day. Most people refuse to believe that they are being manipulated in one way or another. I often listen to or watch commercials now and think about how quickly I want to purchase the item. Then I pause and think about manipulation and how I have been manipulated. I think about what words and actions they used to create that desire within me. Then I think about how often this plays out in an average day. Scarey.

      • Anonymous says:

So well-put, Winston! It’s amazing and stupefying how whole populations feel so “safe” to “live” under the murderous rule of such psychopaths who insist that their followers (“citizens”) “respect” them or be killed. All the guns, bombs, missiles, air forces, navies, armies and police forces are NOT to protect anyone but those psychopaths in power over everyone else. The ruse of “foreign ‘enemies'” is also dangled over the heads of the sheep to scare them into compliance with and to never dare think of going against the psychopathic powers-that-be who rule over them. Those “foreign ‘enemies'” are collaborators with each other–which includes those who rule over YOU. They play the game of “attacking” another so as to help their “victims” whom they attack plea for compliance from their captive populations of followers (“citizens”) “for their safety” which keeps them under their control. …What a game of tricks that’s played on and against the sheep!

      • Redoubt Renee says:

I’m guessing the best fix(might not be a true solution) is the get back to State’s rights. I notice that the larger the government, the more corrupt and that includes large in all senses, land size, net worth and population. When you are so large, it feels like you need to enact more controls. We need to get rid of DC, and let the States start functioning on their own, with Governors collaborating on trade and the military. Governments function better when smaller and closer to the voters. I don’t think DC has my best interests in mind, I might as well live in a foreign country to them as it is.

    • Kulafarmer says:

I hope theres a lot more who feel this way, IMHO thats the only way anything will change, start from scratch and delineate some very specific and absolute rules regarding $, term limits, and benefits

      • Apache54 says:

        Kula,
that will be the only way to STOP it from happening AGAIN! providing we ever get it stopped this time! and there has to be non removable and or non revocable laws and safety measures OR it will just happen again!!
YUP, Kula you are correct!! you and I think very similar things!
hope your doing well on the island and have all eyes open sure looks like things are getting closer every to something big happening???

        • Lone wolverine says:

Many people say that God is a loving God . But some in sodom and Gomorrah might disagree . Including the ( innocent ) children of the evil people. God does not seem to tolerate evil to the point that he will burn your kids to death . I don’t think the evil people today realize that or just don’t care as long as they get what (they) want . So be it.

          • God DID say (Old Testament) that He is BOTH “Good and Evil”

          • Redoubt Renee says:

The God of the Bible has many attributes, Love being only one and not the most prominent. God’s most emphasized attribute is Holiness. “Holy, Holy, Holy” aren’t just hymn lyrics, they are a literary device for assigning importance. That is why God’s judgement seems to contradict with many people’s view of their “God of Love.” He loves more perfectly than anyone understands, but that doesn’t trump Holiness, therefore he can’t ignore sin and its consequences.

        • Kulafarmer says:

Everything just feels odd and off, might just be me but everything seems wacky

          • sixpack says:

            “everything seems wacky”

            It’s not just you…let’s see…

The two most popular presidential candidates are ‘anti-establishment’ for maybe the first time in our history.

The lies that we have grown up being told, have been exposed as being lies. We’ve recently found out that, among other things, we support terrorists who behead people, there never were any WMD and Russia is being seen as THE GOOD GUYS in some international affairs.

The lies about the globalist plan for world dominance is now out in the open for all who will see, to see. The people who we thought were demons, weren’t, and in fact WE supported the real evil demons for our own benefit for decades, in all administrations.

We now have to face the fact that our country has been covertly meddling in the politics of sovereign nations for decades.

As this article points out, our elected officials think we’re stupid sheep.

We’re under constant surveillance, and there’s no way to stop it.

We’ve found out that the globalist, george soros, funds many of the institutions that we always believed were fair and good, like the ACLU, American Federation of Teachers, Amnesty International, EPIC and Human Rights Watch. These institutions have always been influenced by the globalists.

The list goes on and on, suffice it to say, things are “wacky” because literally everything we thought we knew – we didn’t know.

            • Kevin2 says:

              sixpack

Great read. In the end Abe Lincoln’s statement comes to mind.

“You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time”.

“We The People” are awakening in number from both ends of the political / economic spectrum and its advancing towards the middle.

              • Nearly all other nations (Canada, Mexico?, ETC), if indeed not every ONE of them, are WELL AWARE that the past has been the work of our politicians, and “not the will of The American People.” (The Internet has seen to that much …which is why they hate the Internet …”it” has exposed them to Truths (which is hell on Liars).

            • Lone wolverine says:

The American people are handicapped by the inability to comprehend the amount of evil on this planet. Satans greatest weapon is the lie. And he is ruler of this world. So everything is a lie? Isn’t it obvious ? Satan and his children control the media and the money? Isn’t it obvious? Satan and his children rule this world? But not for much longer. No matter the distruction come . Come now.

            • Ketchupondemand says:

sixpack, are you saying Hillary is “anti-establishment”?
Care to expound on that a little?

  4. Vicky says:

Well, we’ve all known this for a long, long time. I’ve always lamented that our family isn’t rich enough to buy a politician or two. It seems unfair. We don’t vote anymore, because we don’t trust any of them. So what do we do now?

    • We do not do anything. If we WERE to “kick this off” then, OH JOY, Obama would be able to say that WE STARTED IT and would then illegally flip us into Martial Law so fast our heads would spin (not that any of us would obey a thing he said if it reached a point such as that …as it would really mean Revolution Has Started!
So, we do not do anything. And, exactly as The Sheriffs have told us, our leaders are the Domestic Enemies (and so call us the same in an effort to inflict fear within and upon us). So, seems that all that needs doing is to bring each of these egg-heads down in any manner that we deem necessary. We do NOT need to do it “legally” …and the “legalities” are THE ONES THEY WROTE THAT KEEP US WITHOUT ANY RIGHTS OR POWER AGAINST THEM …and so we “fall back” to Constitutional Law (Common Law). No need for shootouts then …or many anyway. This could be done quietly, or so it seems. THEY might try to “rain hell” upon us, but any such actions would be short-lived as we have them outnumbered ridiculously. 🙂 MOLON LABE

People say God is a loving God . The men women and children of soddom and Gomorrah might have a different opinion? God seems to be very intolerant of evil people and their children? But their children were inosent? Obviously God didn’t think so? Can anyone argue with that? Like it or not that’s Gods way.

    • sixpack says:

Only one thing: God considers ALL children innocent in his eyes. Therefore, how could the children of S & G be anything but innocent? I struggle with a few issues like this.

      • Lone wolverine says:

What other way could S-G be dealt with? How could they have been more evil than so many other people’s in the past and present .? North Korea? It looks like there must be some grand plan? Something must be accomplished . For a reason we can’t understand. A terrible tribulation then the promised new world. We have been warned . The only reason to warn us is so we fill are lamps so we survive? Isn’t it obvious.

I’m no sports fan yet I grew up surrounded by them. I look at it as a game and games are for kids. The zeal its spectators exhibit is almost religious. Chants, worship words, saints, prophets, place of worship, its all there. I refer to it as, “Worshipping The Sphere”. The spheroid worshipers, a sub sect of the religion, are even more fanatical. I have yet to meet a hard core sports fan that knew anything else. Attempt to discuss foreign affairs with its adherents and you get something between ignorance and disinterest. Its diversionary capability to occupy the time and attention of the masses is almost hypnotic. It is the cornerstone for mass civilian control.

Met an Australian who told me he couldn’t believe how Americans can catch anything with either hand. Baseball?Im defiantly not a sports fan . Wouldn’t walk fifty feet to see a game . But it makes kids stronger. Pros can go f them selves. And their millions.

If the US was attacked in a 911 / Pearl Harbor type of magnitude during the super bowl my family, father, brother, nephews would be upset at the timing. They would periodically change channels to try to find out if The Big Game was still on and what was the score. I kid you not. Interestingly, I have no doubt that they would not understand that doing so was abnormal. This is how important this is to them.

Post WWII wasn’t a struggle financially as the world and hence competition was destroyed. About 1965 things were changing. By the 1970s it was too obvious to ignore. Despite some very temporary (and fraudulently created) bumps up its been downhill due primarily to globalization. The root cause? A lazy electorate. I posted the Animal House clip many times as the example of how we got here.

Sorry for the expletive but it just doesn’t convey the same message without it.

      • smokey says:

So where were you in 1946? After the war, the country immediately went into a recession that pretty much lasted until 1950. Jobs were scarce until they were created by re-tooling factories from B-17 bombers and tank engines to washing machines and radios, that didn’t happen overnight, but took years. Housing for millions of returning GIs just wasn’t there, and couldn’t be built fast enough.

You’re right, we didn’t have much competition after the war. Only problem with that feel-good statement is that the rest of the world had other things to do with it’s money than buying US consumer goods. Just one example, the Marshall Plan funded loans to European farmers to buy US tractors and farm machinery, that amounted to about the only foreign market for US farm machinery goods between 1946 and 1950. We shipped hundreds of railroad locomotives to Europe, then replaced them here at home.

We went from the Depression right into WWII, then right back to Recession. Times were tough, certainly no economic boom for some years.

I have to admit I was into trump for a bit but he is a douche bag and I can’t waste my vote on him. see he is a business man and I hate corporations and corporate executives. They all have this better than you attitude that totally puts me off. The only way any of this changes is when people say fuck you to them and stop giving them their$. I say it all the time don’t buy anything. When you do the proceeds go to your oppressors. you help some employer build his empire when he’s done you get canned. They will fuck you over as soon as the can automate or find cheaper help. That’s what corporations do to people but keep helping them. I fuck them good every chance I can. You gotta sabotage their operations. Be smart about it so you don’t get caught cause them you’ll get fired and can’t give them a black eye anymore. I’m serious people do shit that costs them $. I love it when the truck breaks down I know they are getting a huge tow bill. Don’t fall for their act of you can be replaced. Ya sure they cannot get anyone to work for their greedy asses. Come back with deliveries everyday. Basically just being a lousy worker fucks them but it’s not enough. It fun fuckin them over. Try it just be subtle about it. Us guys have this thing about who fucks the company the hardest. Who has been written up the most. One guy is the master they got a file on him as thick as a phone book. Funny. Believe me the CEOs ar laughing at the help all the way to the bank with their bonuses. Your just giving it back to them. Remember trump is one of these scumbags. He is a piece of shit. Not hardly. They have bottom end jobs. The loss of manufacturing is the problem. Its return is part of the solution. Regulating the Financial Sector, breaking them up, prosecuting them when they break the law and most of all incarcerating / personally fining them is part two. Corzine, who is the poster child for this, when he said, “I have no idea where the $1.2 billion went” should have had a judge tell him, “I’m giving to 20 years to think about where it is”.

        • smokey says:

You mean those bottom end jobs in construction, landscaping, delivery, etc.? Or those bottom end jobs in interpretation, policing, teaching, legal services, all kinds of activities, that cater to them? Maybe the bottom end job cashing unemployment checks for the Americans put out of work by illegals.

    • We betray ourselves when we give corporate goons running our government money to do it with.

This was one of the reasons we separated from England, namely taxation without representation. Clearly imposing debt on people yet unborn is done WITHOUT their permission or representation which makes it immoral as well as unlawful.

It is past time to hold the criminals in government at EVERY level accountable for their actions, starting with the criminal in chief, Barry Soetoro, aka BH Ovomit.

If the voting isn’t rigged like the stock market the media and just about everything else on this planet. With the amount of corruption in this world . How can we expect voting to be squeaky clean?

Asshat… agree with that logic. There is freedom of the press, not the msm press, but the peoples press. In wars tons of propaganda are printed and airplane dumped on the opposing forces, I printed those in Vietnam serving in the 7th Psyops. The people should do that here in the US, just thousands of people can contribute and spread the truth, force met by the force of free press. It need not be costly, yet very effective.

I would bet that even if “Congressman X” gets identified as the author of this book, he would get re-elected. Obviously, his constituency wants someone that knows how to play the game representing them.

  27. Obama is just about done building up his private army. Waiting for Soros to give the order to his former employee Valerie Jarrett. She’ll tell Obama when to trigger the false flag that will start everything. Has all the appointees in the right positions, mostly Muslim Brotherhood members. The attack will be swift and mind numbing, most won’t know who to turn to for guidance. I say we need all of our Military Officers who Obama ran out of the military. Get the Congress Master at Arms, go up to the White House and arrest Obama and Jarrett before it’s too late. They have the power, just not the guts to do it!

Could you imagine them putting federal police uniforms on the iligals to guarantee citizenship. They have no consept of the constitutional rights of humans . They will just do as ordered thinking it must be legal . One cop with ten illegals in uniform in your front yard. With an M- RAB and heavy weapons. There’s millions of illegals and Muslems that would jump at the chance of a federal paycheck and citizenship . And they get bonuses for every gun they confiscate. And extra vacation time for every homegrown terrorist they take out. There lovin it. And hoping it never ends.

Sad to watch atheism destroy a once great nation. Happened to Britain too, but that was decades ago.
