Â Dan Harris of ABC News reports that most mainstream economists don’t predict as dire an economic situationÂ as forecasters such as Peter Schiff and Gerald Celente, so why are they so popular amongst doom and gloomers on the web?

Why would anyone read pessimism porn with any regularity?Â Porn addicts that I’ve spoken to say that it helps you feel smarter than most of the other average Joes because it makes you feel smarter that you know what’s coming when most other people don’t.

Here at SHTFplan.com we admit, we regulary read doom and gloom. But it has nothing to do with our egos. It’s an issue of preparing oneself and one’s family for the coming collapse. It does absolutely no good to be “smarter” than the next guy if you don’t take action.

Now you see why I turned of the TV.Â The mainstream media are full of shit.Â By listening to the “doomers” I recovered my 401k losses in gold stocks…. GTU and CEF, allocated metal in Canada.Â These guys are right.Â Obama pushed 2T into the economy..when that runs it’s course…watch out!Â As for imigration…Â beans and disease to you.
