[VIDEO] Mattis: US Needs ‘Offensive Weapons In Space’ For Defense

Secretary of Defense James Mattis claims that it’s not enough for the United States to have advanced weapons on Earth, but in order for the nation to be safe, the country needs weapons in space. Mattis alleges that in order to protect the American way of life, the Pentagon must be prepared for the deployment and usage of offensive weapons in space.

“We are going to have to be prepared to use offensive weapons in space should someone decide to militarize it and go on the offensive, said the retired Marine who took over the Pentagon in January 2017, according to RT. In any competitive sport in the world, you cannot simply play defense and win,” Mattis added. “This is not an area that we want to be second-place in.”

Space is critical to our economy, it’s critical to our way of life, we’ve grown reliant on it, Mattis said. In addition to the surveillance and military intelligence roles, US satellites are used for navigation, communication, commerce, and banking.

President Donald Trump has also declared his desire to create a Space Force, a branch of the US military. But actions in space come as the US government is a whopping $21 trillion in debt with a $1 trillion deficit, so the real question is how is this going to get paid for? More debt? But apparently, other major government forces are already attempting to militarize space, leaving the US what the warmongers declare as “no choice.”

Russia has already started, China has already started,” he told a rally in Richmond, Kentucky earlier this month. They’ve got a start, but we have the greatest people in the world, we make the greatest equipment in the world, we make the greatest rockets, and missiles, and tanks and ships in the world.”

The president’s critics have met the Space Force proposal with derision, treating it as an expensive joke, but Mattis’s remarks suggest that the administration is deadly serious about it. –RT

The only thing really in the US government’s way is the Outer Space Treaty of 1967, which prohibits the deployment of any weapons of mass destruction to the Earth’s orbit. It also bans states from testing any weapons in outer space as well as from establishing military bases on the Moon and other celestial bodies.

It appears, if taken at face value, that the US government is going to soon be propagandizing and looking for a way to withdraw from the Outer Space Treaty in order to militarize space and spread war beyond Earth. Since coming into office, president Trump has unilaterally withdrawn from a number of treaties and agreements, from the 2016 Paris Accords on climate change and the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, to the 1988 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty limiting US and Soviet cruise missiles in Europe.

Russia and China have moved this direction, now we are going to (again) end up playing catch up to maintain a balance of power and remain able to defend from them.

There was a time in the past when we were the leader, now we have become the follower. What happened and why?

    • rellik says:

      Anony,
“There was a time in the past when we were the leader, now we have become the follower. What happened and why?”

1960’s Democrats. LBJ “I’ll have the ni$$ers voting Democratic for the next two hundred years”.
That is what happened and why.

    • durangokidd says:

The US is WAYYYYY ahead in space based weapons. The kinetic weapons I spoke about previously on this site aboard an armed Air Force Space Plane are much more destructive than nuclear weapons.

The TR3-B mothership and its drones are carrying DEW weapons. The high ground and the technology to keep it is in the hands of the USA.

MINUTEMEN TO THE BORDER !!! CHECK IN WITH THE TEXAS MILITIA !!! 🙂

      • durangokidd says:

” …. Space Force proposal with derision ….”

The “Space Force” already exists and it is controlled by the Intelligence Community. It’s called the “Secret Space Program” and it is no longer a secret.

The proposal by TRUMP to create a “Space Force” is to legitimize and codify the Space Service as a separate branch of the Armed Forces of the United States so that it’s control legally falls under the DOD, the Joint Chiefs, and ultimately, the POTUS, eliminating the Deep State from the Command & Control of its activities.

With TRUMP in control of the Space Force you will never see another DEW Weapon video taped setting fire to Northern California. 🙂

After MIC is done they’ll be enough left over for a Happy Meal.

  3. Really. More money you say mad dog, go fuck yourself like the rest of the blood sucking politicians can do, enough is enough. You sir just lowered yourself to their level! (Guess the upcoming alien invasion false flag is inching closer?)

  4. Sgt. Dale says:

Like there isn’t weapons in space already.
    Sgt.

  5. Infidel says:

‘Offensive Weapons In Space’ are intended for offense not for defense.

  6. Stuart says:

Speaking strictly for myself, If we are to have a war I’d much rather have it in space than in my back yard. It also bears noting that this article is written by our competition in that effort.

    • Norrak says:

Yes, lets blow up the moon or some other planet so the natural order of our solar system can be interrupted and cause havoc here on earth. We don’t have enough problems with our environment now, lets introduce more. You have a bunch of idiots running this world, and they have already proven themselves by their past actions. Do you really want these madmen in charge of nuclear weapons in space too? They are mad with power and greed, so do you really think they can be trusted?

  7. Beaumont says:

This project is intended as a bridge to nowhere (the literal abyss of outer space) to line pockets with fake money, for perpetuity.

The narrative of the Space Age used to tell you that water or some form of mineral wealth or energy would be harvested.

But, of which we are aware, there is no materiel left. (For instance, when Putin asks about the eagle eating the olives.)

What are the Russians supposed to be taking from us, besides your rhetorical sense of idealism?

  8. Average Joe says:

    Really,
How is the military going to put weapons in space when we can’t even send our astronauts to the space station?
Are we going to ask the Russians to give them a ride?
    Just my thoughts

  9. aljamo says:

Those backing this are a continuing rehash of the in government murderers who infest common sense with stupidity. This is all about protecting the corrupt establishment by every means necessary. Past the point of no return justice, the threat heightens. This is Trump in a nutshell, building barriers to block all freedom of the people wearing a flimsy disguise as a patriot. The people can see right through the deceit.

  10. aljamo says:

Wouldn’t you need defensive weapons in space to defend an imaginary or real offensive threat? A weaponized space spells doom for mankind. Waiting for the minor revolution that never came from the basket weaving airheads that think they are free but in fact hold no power.

  11. Daniel f. says:

Why don’t we just make it mankind’s new manifest Destiny to colonize and gather resources in space so we can do what any successful organism does and ensure the survival of future generations right now we have all of our eggs in one basket if we as a race a team a band of brothers and sisters made it our mission today to go to these places and gather, repurpose, and manufacture the resources that are more abundant than the resources on earth many times over we would find we that we would be no longer over crownded and year after year we have less and less to go around we would find that there is plenty in our backyard to keep the human race running longer than the sun will shine

    • Norrak says:

There may be another reason for going into space, they’ve damaged earth so much there is a need for a new place to live. Check out Dane Wigington, a former employee of Bechtel Power Corp. Background in solar energy. Lead researcher at geoengineeringwatch.com

  12. blinky says:

The next arms race. See that? It never ends until it ends.

  13. rellik says:

Everyone should re-read “The moon is a harsh mistress”.
Concentrate on the weapon used, rocks and gravity.
That is the only weapon that makes sense given the damage
blown up crap in orbit would do to all the worlds satellites
and the un-desireabilty of poisoning the earth by the
    wholesale use of nukes.

  14. Asshat says:

Another angle to steal taxpayer $.

  15. The Antagonist says:

Ain’t it ABOUT TIME that that IMBECILE Mattis was rubber-roomed… PERMANENTLY???

  16. darkhorse says:

Why? We have offensive weapons like you here on earth!

  17. Wow I remember watching warnings years back stating that “Once they start talking about militarizing space then the End Game is near…

  18. Who was it who said: “If you’re not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about”?
