President Donald Trump’s national security adviser warned that now is the time to avoid a war with North Korea. H.R. McMaster, speaking at an event for the British think tank Policy Exchange, said “time is running out” to prevent a nuclear war.

According to Newsweek, McMaster was previewing the new National Security Strategy, a document put out by each administration that shapes how it approaches foreign policy and national security issues during its tenure. Trump will unveil the full document on Monday.

McMaster’s remarks come just after North Korea demonstrated a missile last month that, experts say, puts the continental United States in range. Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un have also traded verbal barbs, with Trump calling Kim “Rocket Man” and Korean government outlets referring to Trump as a “dotard.” Those threats and the advances in North Korea’s nuclear program have heightened tensions on the Korean Peninsula and pushed the two sides toward what experts say would be a horrific nuclear war.

“Now it’s time for all nations to do more,” McMaster said. The National Security Strategy document also includes details about how the administration is dealing with North Korea. McMaster said that policy is focused on the “denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula,” not ousting Kim Jong-Un. That includes potential action against companies that illegally do business with North Korea, along with continued pressure on China to help curb North Korea’s nuclear tests.

“North Korea’s government is dependent on isolation,” said Britain’s national security advisor, Mark Sedwill. “Those who talk about reintegrating North Korea miss the point of that regime,” Sedwill said, lacking confidence that North Korea could ever be normalized.

Another section of the strategy will focus on “cooperation with reciprocity,” a phrase meant to coax U.S. allies to spend more on their own defense, a critical component of Trump’s campaign rhetoric on national security.

Our Bible warns us and I urge all to prepare spiritually and remember God chose you from the beginning to live this remarkable time for His honor and glory forever. God bless you and protect you.

    • John Stiner says:

I have a lot of friends the keep saying we are in the end times, but really don’t think so.

I suspect the people living in the times of WW1 and WW2 has much more reason to believe end times were imminent.

That being said, you an drop dead any second, so if you are not a believer, now may be a good time to investigate.

    • gandhi says:

why would we want to avoid nuclear war? an unused weapon is a useless weapn.

  2. Illini Warrior says:

Yep – all the US allies are joining together to isolate North Korea and bring Little Fat Boy to his knees …

until the holy $$$$$$ gets in the way ….

the Egyptians intercepted a boatload of RPG rocket rounds that were being smuggled out of North Korea – for the terrorists???? – nope – secret HUGE bargain buy by another branch of the Egyptian gooberment – $$cash$$$ talks ….

so much for mutual cooperation ….

    • John Stiner says:

      It won’t work.

There have been major sanctions against North Korea for the last 30 years and it has done nothing.

Kim Jung does not care if his people starve to death. That is evident by the north korean soldier that recently defected.

  3. Darkwing says:

Will someone PLEASE tell me what North Korea has done to the US of A to warrant all this talk of war?????

    • Babycatcher says:

They have a Communist brutal dictator in place. That’s what the North Koreans have done. And they are threatening Japan and South Korea. Strike two. Their leader starves and brutalizes their citizens so he can have bigger toys to play with. Strike three. One more and he’s out, in more ways than one, I’ll bet.

      • Old Sailor says:

So tell me BC, how is that any different than America? We have elections, but the game remains the same no matter who is elected. We have citizens being starved and brutalized so the government can have bigger toys to play with. We threaten NK, Syria, Iran and everyone else that doesn’t bow down. How are we any different?

    • John Stiner says:

Daily threats against America. Threatening to nuke the US, nuke Guam, nuke Japan, nuke south Korea….

Shooting missiles over Japan. Shooting missiles into the sea of japan.

violating the international ban on nuclear arms testing.

and just being a really big dick.

  4. Georgia Peach says:

This is scary stuff. Maybe they know more than we do.

  5. Old Sailor says:

Maybe, just maybe, the “Dept. of Defense” should have spent more money on “defense” and less on “offense” since its name was changed from the War Dept. The name was changed, but not the strategy. They could have built one hell of a missile defense system with all the money they spent waging war in Vietnam, Panama, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, etc., etc. The older I get, the less hope I have for my grandchildren’s future with the idiots running this country and the rest of the world.

  6. Sgt. Dale says:

Guys, they keep telling us this, but nothing has happened yet.

The only thing we can do is prep. We can’t start or stop a war that is up to the powers that be.

    Sgt.

  7. Dave says:

They are doing all that they can to ensure there is a war, and that china and russia are part of it.
