U.S. Treasury Warns of What’s to Come: “Catastrophic Effect… Could Last for More Than a Generation”

The next time someone tells you that the US government is operating in a fiscally sustainable manner and that our economy is growing strongly point them to the latest report from the U.S. Treasury Department.

According to the new report released yesterday all of our worst fears may soon be realized should the United States default on its obligations to creditors, employees, and recipients of state-sponsored benefits.

The report details the consequences of Congress failing to raise the debt ceiling so that the government can borrow more money. The political impasse will likely be resolved in the 11th hour just as it has been during prior showdowns. But, the report has much broader implications.

This is nothing short of an official admission and confirmation of the decades’ long woeful mismanagement of U.S. economic, fiscal and monetary policy.

Here’s what you can expect to happen on that fateful day when our government is no longer extended the credit it needs to cover its trillion dollar commitments:

“In the event that a debt limit impasse were to lead to a default, it could have a catastrophic effect on not just financial markets but also on job creation, consumer spending and economic growth,” the report said.

Credit markets could freeze, the value of the dollar could plummet, US interest rates could skyrocket, the negative spillovers could reverberate around the world, and there might be a financial crisis and recession that could echo the events of 2008 or worse.

“Considering the experience of countries around the world that have defaulted on their debt, not only might the economic consequences of default be profound, but those consequences, including high interest rates, reduced investment, higher debt payments, and slow economic growth, could last for more than a generation,” the report states.

    Via: Yahoo and HuffPost

While all the political hoopla in Congress will eventually lead to an agreement on raising the debt ceiling, the fact is that we are very quickly approaching our limit as a nation.

At some point our creditors are going to pull the plug. They understand that the $200 trillion in obligations we have will never be met. Countries like Russia, China, and even the private central banking conglomerates are positioning their chess pieces right now for when this day comes.

The end result is going to widespread financial and economy destruction, a meltdown of the U.S. dollar, and a collapse of our very way of life as tens of millions of Americans will be instantly impoverished.

Economic analyst John Williams has warned that when it does finally happen, we can fully expect disruptions to our food supplies and the normal flow of commerce.

Without the U.S. dollar as a viable mechanism of exchange, such a  scenario could very quickly lead to civil unrest, violence, and widespread looting. While most Americans may deny that the possibility exists, it’s exactly the scenario that U.S. Homeland Security experts and the Pentagon have been simulating for years.

The U.S. Treasury Department has confirmed it can happen. The military and DHS are actively war-gaming contingency plans and stockpiling ammunition, recruiting soldiers for interment operations, and arming up local police forces. Furthermore, governments around the world are training for it.

Take their lead, and do the same on an individual level by developing your own long-term preparedness plan. Set aside food in case it is no longer available at grocery stores. Save some gold and silver to utilize as a mechanism of exchange should the dollar crash. Learn to use a firearm and have ammunition on hand to defend yourself when the masses start fighting for whatever resources remain.

While the timing of the Treasury Department’s report is designed to instill fear in the American public, understand that raising the debt ceiling will do absolutely nothing to resolve the underlying issues we face and the consequences that will eventually be realized.

“The way forward is so radical it can’t happen. It would necessitate a sweeping divorce of the state and the market economy. It would require a renunciation of crony capitalism and it’s first cousin: Keynesian economics in all its forms. The state would also need to get out of the economic uplift, bailout, and social insurance business and drastically shift its focus to managing and funding an effective and affordable means-tested safety net.

Restoring fiscal solvency and free market prosperity would also require the drastic diminution of the state’s bloated machinery of warfare and central banking, meaning that the hurdles to true economic recovery are forbidding. Deep shrinkage of the military-industrial complex, for example, could happen only upon the wholly unlikely abandonment of the interventionist foreign policy that nourishes it. Likewise, eliminating the scourge of the Wall Street casino would require restoration of free market interest rates and honest price discovery in the stock market; that is to say, elimination of the Fed’s open market bond-buying operation and its regime of financial repression and risk asset levitation.

Alas, none of these solutions are even remotely possible within our now fully corrupted constitutional framework. The latter is no longer a system of democratic choice and governance; it is a tyranny of incumbency and money politics. As such, it has set in motion a financial doomsday machine that is inexorably speeding toward national insolvency and monetary collapse.”

Reminds me of the old saying that we are always one generation away from tyranny.

The treasury is not issuing a warning so much as it is a statement of the banksters desire.

To kill the country for a generation so all those who know and desire freedom will be dead and no longer a threat to their power.

We must take back the country before that is allowed to happen of the idea of freedom will disappear from the history books.

First, there would be no future elections as the US would cease to exist as a country of 50 states.

Second, ALL imports would end until the exporters knew they would be paid in gold or other currencies, not dollars. Look at the ‘made in’ labels on all of your food and stuff to see the impact on YOUR life.

Third, there would be ZERO economic growth (See #1) as the US is NOT like the 3rd world countries that collapsed in the past and had help from other countries to pick up the pieces. The US stands aloe as it will take down the rest of the West and many countries friendly to it. China and Russia will stand by and watch.

And why shouldn’t the Russians and Chinese watch. The American government has been playing this game for years and if it gets burned it should for not listening. If America was sensible the people would start cooping within communities to see what local resources they have and start building on what they don’t. When the dollars does collapse it will be the ones who make these changes that will survive. The government that you’ve been paying all these years will leave you high and dry with no support and will probably steal whatever you have left.

If he pulls back at all, interests rise a lot, market drops and hyperinflation starts to kick in. He knows it. He also knows that he does not want be in his chair when it happens. He will do everything he can to keep it together to allow him to get his butt out the door next year. Oh, happy days

@KY Mom, You are absolutely correct, and there are many who share your sentiments, including me. Unfortunately, when the collapse occurs I am not sure the little life-boats will be enough to save anyone. It will probably only prolong the suffering that people will be going through. The ones who died early on will be remembered as the lucky ones. People will run into holes in the ground and pray that the mountains would crush them. Remember how Abraham bargained with God over Sodom and Gomorrah? Perhaps there will be a remnant who will humble themselves and seek the face of God. Pretty scary thoughts. We all need each other. It is utter nonsense to think we can survive alone, for what?

We haven’t become weak, we’ve become completely morally bankrupt and despotic. Just look at TV. All the major sitcoms, even the “family” shows, are full of non-stop vulgarity and sexual innuendo. Remember the Super Bowl last year at half time? 30 minutes of watching Beyonce thrusting her half-naked genitals around at the cameras. At the Super Boal party I was at it was the only time the room got quiet and everyone was watching TV like mesmerized zombies. That’s what our country has turned into, and it’s not by accident.

So maybe early retired folk in that predicament use a forum to post at like This one as a form of entertainment some what, and post more replies than others too busy working etc.

Yeah, it’s scare tactics and nothing but. If the debt ceiling is not raised, they DO NOT HAVE TO DEFAULT ON ANY EXISTING BONDS. Let me say that again, THEY DO NOT HAVE TO DEFAULT. If there is any default, it will be an AFFIRMATIVE CHOICE by the current pack of thieves in the WH, who might do so just for spite. Well, not for spite exactly – read on….

What they would do is a “contained” default. Because any default further destroys the middle class that they hate so much. The default will be “contained” so that it does the big bankers as little harm as possible, but nobody will get away unscathed.

The only alternative is to do the right thing now. Cut entitlements by 30%, repeal Obamacare 100%, cut the Federal bureaucracy along the lines of the current “shutdown” – i.e. all “non-essential” Fed workers now on furlough are terminated, reduce taxes that inhibit investment in new businesses, enforce immigration laws, restore rule of law to banking industry, enforce anti-monopoly law against the big medical players, etc, etc.

The current Government won’t do any of it, because if they do the Free Shit Army will be out in force, armed to the teeth, backed by the Vampire Squid money team, and all our worst fears will come true. The only good part is that the Blue cities and states will get the worst of it.

Facing up to either of these horrible alternatives is more than The Weeper can stand, so eventually they’ll kick the can down the road again. Like the man with cancer who says “It’s only a lump, it will go away soon”.

This scenario of the “crash of the dollar” has been in the works for decades. Anyone that has been reading and paying attention to TPTB has known this dollar collapse was inevitable in order to bring about the “order”.

There is only one way to dismantle the middle and upper middle class in America; dismantle the dollar.
Why? There is too much “old money” involved to systemically dismantle the masses. WTF is old money?
Basically it is inheritance. There are a couple generations of persons that have held on to every dollar, or at least a portion of it, that they ever earned. Some invested into real estate and others into profitable business, and others into the stock market, and some just banked it all. There are trillions that are keeping the economy afloat without any help from the Feds. In fact, the Fed’s fiat dollar printing is only to help increase funds for banksters and the uber-rich.

These folks of wealthy inheritance can only be brought down to the ranks of lower middle to poor classes by collapsing/crashing the dollar and replacing it with an exchange that gives these folks, what is equivalent to, “pennies on the dollar”.

The collapse/crash of the almighty dollar has to happen on some level for TPTB to bring forth their plan of a NWO.

As long as Mom and Pop, and Granny and Pa, have the assets and the dollar flows; They will sell-off and cash-in, all that is necessary to keep their immediate families flourishing, which in turn keeps the economy flowing along. Until that dollar no longer buys vehicles and land and houses for an equitable amount; the economy will continue as it has for the past 100 years, excluding the Great Depression era. When that dollar is only worth 10% (or less), of what it used to be, then; “Houston, we have a problem!”

Some assets of precious metals will be good to hold for bartering and possibly paying taxes, but food stores and the means to produce anything for survival will be the ticket for independence.

We’ve seen what’s happened to Libya, Greece, Hungary, Detroit, yet for some reason people think they alone are gonna be immune when the SHTF for so many already. So many of those claiming welfare benefits were just a year or so ago earning good money on what they thought were stable jobs/solvent businesses.

The possible strategy (cos at this point I hope noone is gonna pretend the descent is by anything other than design).

        1. Destroy the Western middle-class, where the last remants of the concept of freedom reside through economic means.
        2. Global War
        3. Pandemic (aka WW1 spanish flu).
        4. Reduced population of survivors so downtrodden and grateful they are content to be enslaved by the global plantation in exchange for “security”.

lone Mum: Where do you think the Babylon is thats spoken of in Revelation? That part that says All the rich men, merchants, ship owners, banksters etc et al shall Weep and Mourn over her demise?

Many folks I have heard say that Vatican is Babylon. Yet in reality there are a very Limited number of places that can be modern babylon. Because to cause all those merchants and wealthy ship owners etc to Mourn and Weep over irs final destruction, it Must be a city or nation that Imports and exports a whole lots of the stuff them wealthy men sell and buy right.

At a glance yes vatican looms Large, main building houses One man, the Pope yet it contains about 1200 bedrooms alone! But in reality the entire vatican city only occupies about 114 total acres lands.

And when one considers besides One Pope, they probobly have 1000 others dwelling there full time at most. That can hardly be that massive Babylon city that will be destroyed and cause so many rich merchant men to weep and moan now that they Lost their Main customers.

In all usa history NY seems to be a number one location for such merchandising imports and exports and Banksters opperations that made so many so wealthy.

If by chance NY is that babylon city spoken of, since it seems to fit most every listed issue that describes babylon, even JayJays recent Finds of former “Hills” prior to NY city was Built.

I have wondered if when John the revelator was shown his Vision of the entire future from 2000 yrs ago, if since his vantage point was in Heaven, which is UP, way far UP above the earth, did he perhaps see a massive properous largely inhabited “city” and since he also would see what to a Novice Could be taken for the entire lanscape of the USA may appear as, One Large city from NY across to LA Kalif?

I only was one time in an airplane and when I peered outside the small window at america below prior to landing, thats what it looked like to me. If I did not know better, when I saw how it seemed the land etc streched on forever almost, all roads connected, farm after farm, city after city as if one huge massive city such as ancient Babylon.

I also wonder if John simply used that name of Babylon so other readers of his prophetic writings would know based upon their knowledge of ancient babylon, that he was speaking of so large and wealthy of a city as babylon was originally. John was used to in his days citys had tall thick Walls as in walled citys for safty of dwellers within that city. If when John looked down at the Future usa that will exist some day, like Today end times, I wouldn’t be shocked if he saw it as one large City.

Its something to think about eh when one considers the way america has so devolved into a modern day version of a combo of babylon+soddom eh.

And unless very soon the vatican city dwellers begin to Import much more of every possible thing they can import, and maybe also do some Exporting that will require Many of those rich ship owners ships to bring stuff in and take stuff out…Well then I really doubt the vatican can posibly be that babylon spoken of in the book of Revelation. America sure appears to be High on the list as that “city” babylon today no?

I have thought as well that Revelation 18 could be none other but the USA.

This chapter describes a very rich Nation that is now gone. The USA could fit that very easily.

Rev 18:3 ‘For all the Nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The Kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.

Rev 18:9 ‘When the kings of the earth who committed adultery with her and shared her luxury see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her. Terrified at her torment, they will stand off far and cry….’

The petro-dollar has created the worlds most wealth, ever. It has also created the most financial adulteries. It is burning and starting to come down. Many rich will weep.

              @ Ugly and Angelo,

Babylon means “confusion”. The deeper meaning from the Bible means “confusion brought about by evil”.

Therefore; other than the very ancient city of Babylon, the references to Babylon can mean a variety of peoples, nations or groups. They all have one thing in common, they are “worldly” followers and operate on Satan’s formula of greed and pride. Those two deadly sins, when coupled with confusion and deception, makes up the requirements for Babylon.

No “one”, nation or country has the market cornered on deserving the title of Babylon.

If Communisim and atheism were the markers for such, you could say N Korea, China, or even Russia would be considered Babylon.

i think modern day Babylon is a generic biblical term and many people fit into it.

Having said that, i also believe the worst of the worst are those that “claim” to be Godly, but use Christianity,Judaism, or any worship of a higher power, to steal from people, that is the epitome of deception and evil.

If you can put away $3,000 a month for retirement then you are truly fortunate. Most people don’t even clear that much much less make that much on a monthly basis.

And you shouldn’t generalize, all of our savings were wiped out between a serious health issue my DW has and me losing my job which I had worked for the same company for over 10 yrs and was doing quite well a few years ago when things started getting really rough. We weren’t “over extended” and had no debt but got wiped out rather quickly anyway.

              • @Lena,

You need to research the Cypriots who had over half of their private savings stolen by their government recently. After that, research the Argentinians who got wiped out in 2000 during their “Bank Holiday”.

You do realize that the very concepts of monetary inflation and price inflation represents the worse kind of invisible taxation without representation that steals money from current and future generations slowly?

And let’s not forget the Obamacare Tax that the IRS can take directly from your bank account without your permission.

It’s good that you’re saving money for retirement, but if the government gets desperate enough we may very well see the top marginal federal income tax rates rise to over 90%, as Americans saw back in the mid-1950′s. And that was just the federal government’s tax bite!

Remember, Americans have figured out how to vote themselves other people’s money. This ugly Genie is out of the bottle and there’s no way of getting it back in!

What’s theirs, is theirs; What’s yours, may not be yours for long.

                • Lena,

I read about the retirement heist in Poland. Don’t confuse physical gold with paper gold. $1300/oz represents paper gold that is fraudulently traded in multiples of 100 to 1 of the underlying physical metal. If we eliminate the paper commodity fraudulently traded as gold, then we’d see just how much physical gold is really worth!

                  >>”believe me, i am watching and the US is not close to pullin a cyprus or gold wouldnt be down to $1300. PMs will start shooting long before that happens and my house will be full of PMs then.”<<

Don't be so sure of that Lena. There is zero correlation today between the equity markets, economy, and politics. Not with trillions of dollars of reserve capital sitting in the dealer bank books. We will not see the other shoe drop until it hits the floor and then we'll all be a lot smarter.

Remember, Nixon may have relaxed Executive Order 6102 signed by Roosevelt in 1933 that led to gold confiscations, but that E.O. has never been officially rescinded. To my knowledge it is still very much in effect today. Whether the government will malevolently act on it in the future remains to be seen. It all depends how long it takes for the U.S. to descend into a full blown Banana Republic Third World nation.

Lena….back in April when more physical gold bullion had been sold in The previous month, the FED/SEC approached major fund managers and instructed them to push investors to sell paper gold assets. The fear was a run on the metal, and if the big time investors called In their baskets of Gold, there would not be enough physical gold to back the paper, driving prices sky high very rapidly. Someone I know very well has a relative on the street, and this is straight up. Also, if you have been involved with PMs at all over the last few years, you would know that in the last 9 months, physical price has diverged from spot prices. Just go to a coin show or dealer and see what the premiums are on bullion other than junk silver. It used to be $1.50-2.00 for one ounce silver bullion. Folks don’t blink at $6.00 & up now.

FBP, I have a few things to enlighten you on.

Those of us whom are self-sufficient or working towards that goal will not need a high income to survive. A very small income will be quite sufficient.

With what is heading down our pipes, it is doubtful that a high income is going to be worth shit, when no one will trade you a can of beans for an ounce of gold. This has been clarified by the previous commenter’s, suggesting to lena to start investing her money in something other than “savings”.

If you truly have enough income to set back $15k a month, then you would be intelligent enough to know that you are a very rare breed, and suggesting others to do the same would be asinine.

If you didn’t have enough income to set back $15k a month and wanted to look like an internet hot-shot, then you WOULD suggest to others that to set back $15k a month “aint much.”

Your grammar is absolutely horrible, and half of your postings are unintelligible, leading me to believe that you are no where near who you say you are.

You are weak and have no self-worth, so you have to have a fake persona on the internet, and try to belittle others whom are working to better themselves.

Anytime anyone suggests a solution, you tell them “lead the way”. This in itself implies that you are weak and need a leader, because you are just too cowardly yourself to make your own path.

I could go on, but that is all for now.

@Outlaw; This is one of your best postings. It speaks of community and unity. There are many who post on this site, perhaps they are trolls, who seek to divide and assert themselves saying, it is “my way, or the highway”. We all need encouragement, the prospects for the future and the prognostications for the future are scary enough. Hope springs eternal! Let’s try to reach out to each other, rich, poor, educated, uneducated, what does it really matter? You bleed the same way I bleed and your s#*t stinks the same as mine. Your experience and insight is valuable to me and may someday save my life. Thank you.

@Lena: We say, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” You are fortunate to be one of those who can put away so much each month but no one’s future is completely secure. Go ahead, “Make hay while the sun shines”. The night is coming. You are to be greatly commended in doing what you are doing. Remember though, that when the time comes that you start withdrawing from your retirement accounts, the government will tax you.

When I was young and travelling the world, a dear friend who helped build many of the sky-scrapers in Singapore told me, “Always save at least 10% of your earnings. Keep it in a safe place and let it accrue. If you only make 10 dollars, save 1 dollar. Make it a habit.” I have tried to live by that tenet. I am still not where I can say that I am comfortable regarding retirement but I am comforted that there is something to fall back on when hard times hit. I also am a big believer in prepping and yes, get ready for the Zombies, for surely they will come. It is just a matter of time. Invest in things that will last and be prepared to rotate those essentials that do not last for more than a year or less. Start networking with others and teach others about the wisdom of saving and prepping. Don’t forget that it is important to learn new skills, the survival skills of the old-timers and the survival skills of the young ones, the millennials. You are to be commended. What is in your mind may be more important than what you have. No one can take away your education or your experience. Always, take time to smell the flowers, appreciate beauty and relish life to its full!

We are enjoying the quiet in the house, except for when we hear a tree limb break outside. If not for this site I know we wouldn’t be prepared for something like this.

Notes to self; keep a better eye on the batteries drawer. We have no D cells. Also, electric garage doors don’t respond when there is no power. Do not store a rototiller in front of the back entrance.

            Thanks, all.

Michael, about 4:30am. Didn’t keep the generator running all night as the temp in the house didn’t merit it. My concern was frozen pipes, and there was no risk of that. Have it running now, mainly for the coffee pot. Gotta find one of those old style perculators at garage sales this next spring.

Don’t have to worry about anyone stealing the generator, as the roads are absolutely impassable. The trees still had their leaves, and the snow has been wet and heavy. Major tree damage, and that is what seems to be taking down power lines.

I heard there were tornadoes south of here in Nebraska last night. Trying to get news from the radio now. I can power up the TV, but the satellite dish is buried in snow so there is no signal. We are safe and warm, and I have my coffee, so life is good.

Hey Reb, ultimately, it is not so much “how much” but that you are putting a certain minimal percentage away for that rainy day. People who put away a lot of money are also the ones who spend a lot and a lot is being taken away from them. Unfortunately, most of those who make a lot don’t know how to “make do”. There are so many things that we have come to think we absolutely must have but in reality we really do not need. Good luck in your preps and plans.

          THE ROBIN WILLIAMS PEACE PLAN

This may very well be the best thought out item we have read since 9/11/01.
Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan … what we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message.
I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here’s one plan.

          1. The US will apologize to the world for our “interference” in their affairs, past &present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, Noriega, Milosovich and the rest of those ‘good ole boys, ‘We will never “interfere” again.

          2. We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don’t want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one sneaking through holes in the fence.

          3. All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We’ll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them.

          4. All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don’t like it there, change it yourself and don’t hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don’t need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

          5. No “students” over age 21. The older ! ones are the bombers. If they don’t attend classes, they get a “D” (for “deport”) and it’s back home baby.

          6. The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non-polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

          7. Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don’t like it, we go some place else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

          8. If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not “interfere.” They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, ! rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

          9. Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island some place. We don’t need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

          10. All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us “Ugly Americans” any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH…..learn it…or LEAVE…
Now, ain’t that a winner of a plan.

“The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying “Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses.” She’s got a baseball bat and she’s yelling, “You want a piece of me?”

I know some have seen this before, but he does have a point….

I wouldn’t consider gmail a ‘burner’. Google most certainly records the IP you’re connecting from. Probably forever. They can easily do a geo look up of that IP and get your general local. Thanks to their wifi sniffing camera cars they probably have a general idea of what neighborhoods or even houses depending on how insecure things are certain IP ranges are associated with.

Pick a smaller email provider, one that doesn’t have the resources to track you forever due to storage costs. Then only use the TOR Browser to access it. Never connect through your phone, or from a browser that’s not put through the The Onion Router network.

As it turns out the NSA still hasn’t broken TOR in a reliable consistent fashion. For now.

I’d also strongly advise using a 4096 bit encryption on your emails and just publish your public key somewhere that people can get to it so they can send you emails.

Just my .02 from doing this kind of thing for the last 23 years.

          BigB.

You don’t have to say ‘I told you so’ because I already know. The USA has zero chance of recovery. Therefore I have given up hope on Americans changing this system. Therefore, I am just going prepare for it.

Talk to any American about the debt and see what answer you get.

Let me explain it with math:

In reality, there are 80 million primary Americans that pay about 90% of all the taxes in the USA. Lets’ say the ACA costs each of the 80 million about $3,000 per month. This collection comes to $2.8T. Cant pay! Then there is $2.8T in home values.

They are printing phony money at over $1T per year.

The reason why there is no paper bills after 2009 is because the currency is crashing. We are witnessing the death of paper and the beginning of all transaction in electronic form.

Nothing is getting fixed. A few of us know that.

Now that I have give up hope, I feel much better. I feel great! I jog 5 days a week. I even bought my first shortwave radio. I’m getting ready.

I suppose the longer the delay the bigger the crash. Im out of debt. Yet I see folks building like crazy. I seen new houses being built in subdivisions that have vacant homes in them? Up the road a ways Two different farmers are constructing chicken growing houses. Those houses cost a $100,000 each to build. The are each building 4 houses? WalMart was packed full of folks filling carts yesterday. The number of cars on the road is the same. I have noticed a decrease in freight trucks. For all appearances its business as usual here?

      • The WalMart part is due to it being early in the month and the EBT cards were just refilled. Visit a Walmart on the last few days of the month and they are usually pretty empty. I’m not just talking out my ass on this, nope. My wife and I tested our theory for 3 months in a row. We would go to the local WalMart at 11:30pm on the last day of the month. What we saw was funny and disgusting at the same time.

People were coming into the store just before midnight, loading up their carts and then go park somewhere in the store. Just after midnight, they would all check their balance on their phones. I’m guessing their is a web site to do that at, why not, right? Anyway, by usually 10 minutes after midnight on the first day of the month, every register line would be pretty well mobbed up. Your tax dollars hard at work. Lovely, isn’t it?

As for the rest, yeah, people are building on debt. Suckers they are smoking too much of the Hopium.

When I laughed and stated what if something happens and you don’t make the payments. He stated he started out with nothing so he had nothing to lose. Lots of dairy farmers down here in Tasmania tried that, with plenty of encouragement from a certain Dutch agricultural bank. One wet winter was all it took, and 4 years later everyone is touting dairy as the next big thing because a new milk powder plant has been built and a cheese factory has been rebuilt bigger and better. Both with overseas money to supply overseas markets.

I have close friends who drank the cool-aid and are now 60 something debt slaves who have to get clearance from the bank to repair farm implements. Their farm is on the market and has been for 3 years, with no buyers in sight.
I am picking there are buyers out there waiting for the market to bottom out, and that event is going to happen when the US economy defaults.

It is a paradigm whose time has been and now gone. Official interest rates here are down to 2.25%, mortgage rates are the lowest in sixty years, and the builders are still not hiring. That tells you that people can see too much risk in the economy.

I’ve seen the same thing. Some of the stuff they are buying is top line for Wal-Mart. Some of the things cost more than I would spend. What really pissed me off was the candy and junk they would buy.

Drink plenty of water .

It usually manafests It self in the late teen years to early thirties. There is no known cause it is considered an auto immune disease of the digestive system. Some studies have liked it to environmental causes i.e. genetically engineered foods or depending on his age exposure to Nuclear Fallout ingestation when young. It’s cause is still considered uknown origion. In the early 1960′s Rome NY, parts of Pennsylvania, NJ , and Ohio experienced a rain out event from an atmospheric nuclear test. When people buy jugs of Sunny Delight and Koolaid instead of concentrate and powder they spend inefficiently. When they buy ready made bakery items instead of flour, sugar, etc. they also waste resources. SNAP has instructional materials to help people make the most of their aid (not to mention several mentions in the literature that this is a supplement, not provision for their full need) and part of it is the advice we used to get in school about shopping the perimeter of the store first. That’s where the least processed and better value foods are located. A lot of those on SNAP have no clue about anything in life, and thus they run out their EBT before the month is out and think that they are starving.

Maybe related- I noticed at the food pantry that the pickings were slim the first week of the month. Also the store seems to be running out of sales items quickly this week. I wonder about later in the month?

If they are on welfare, then they have no business having children.

If they are having children in order to collect welfare, then the politicians need to eradicate that circumstance as a qualification to receive welfare. This is a national security problem which must be addressed, and fast.

Every intelligent, well educated person in this country knows this to be true. Granted, some of the politicians are not the brightest bulbs on the tree, but most of them are well educated. Certainly they can see the peril in paying people to have children they otherwise could not afford. So why has this welfare-for-illegitimate-babies gone on so long and what is it going to take to stop it?

Our nation’s resources just cannot continue to feed, clothe and shelter these rising numbers of people making babies for whom they cannot provide — ever. This notion of having a child out of wedlock and then asking the taxpayers to pay for all of the resulting costs has become merely a scam. And it’s been happening for at least 30 years. Where have the adults in our government been? Why hasn’t something been done to stop it? Why isn’t anything being done now to stop it?

This is not a matter of compassion or sympathy or not passing judgment on the “mistakes” of others. This is a matter of overpopulating our land mass and destabilizing the very fabric of our society. It is long past time to pass judgment and put a stop to it.

      Factor 1: Interpersonal/Affective
      Glibness/superficial charm **
      Grandiose sense of self-worth **
      Pathological lying **
      Cunning/manipulative **
Lack of remorse or guilt **
Shallow affect (genuine emotion is short-lived and egocentric) **
      Callousness; lack of empathy **
Failure to accept responsibility for his or her own actions **
      Factor 2: Lifestyle/Antisocial
Need for stimulation/proneness to boredom **
      Parasitic lifestyle **
      Poor behavioral control *
Lack of realistic long-term goals **
      Impulsiveness **
      Irresponsibility **
      Juvenile delinquency
      Early behavior problems
      Revocation of conditional release
      Criminal versatility **

In short, 0bama is worst type of person you would want as President. He is fully capable of destroying the country because of his mental illness.

      its time to institutionalize him

stupid people……that’s our nation’s problem. we got too many stupid people. they are everywhere, and i’ve been thinking for a few weeks now on WHY there are so many stupid people infecting our society. i’m 58 now and i can’t remember this many stupid people around when i was a younger man. they are EVERYWHERE. the problem is that we have sooo many laws now to protect the STUPID from themselves, and they breed MORE stupid people. we have laws to make sure stupid people can get a job for example….i REALLY believe that a lot of stupid people get hired into government jobs because the human recources hirers know we would be paying for their welfare payments if they weren’t given these gubmint jobs. they have been instructed by their superiors to hire the handicapped(stupid) to keep the welfare roles lower. think about it, we protect the stupid from being cleansed from the genepool by making laws like:
wear a lifejacket in a boat
wear a helmet riding a bike
don’t put your hand in the tigers cage at the zoo
label on cigarettes to say they’ll kill you
can’t take a glass bottle to a sporting event…gotta be plastic so nobody gets cut
can’t walk down the street in public with a beer
      no jaywalking
gotta have seat belts to drive a car
sign saying “no diving” on a 200 foot high bridge
      mcdonalds coffee MIGHT be hot
ladder sign saying it MIGHT be dangerous to stand on top
don’t put your fingers in the fan blades
these lawmakers got it so VERY few stupid people can get killed any more. back in the day people DIED for doing stupid things, now they just keep breeding more stupid. i tell yuh, the genepool needs more chlorine…..get RID of some of these laws. just too many stupid people for our country to not have a serious breakdown SOON! once it DOES all blow up, will it take a few generations to get back into balance? or will mostly stupid people die off? hmmmm…..food for thought…….oops! did i write that out loud?

I for one am all for letting this Government fail period. Let if fail and start taking away the money from all these politicians that they so greedily made during their tenure. Revert to a constitutionally run Government overseen by the American people. All bills brought to house and senate have waiting period on yearly basis so that the people have a chance to vote on all Government actions.. ( Now that is Democracy ). A new Government separate from Church separate from Corporations..We all know that it has been big business meddling in our Government for 200 years + This has made our officials corrupt – very rich – very greedy – and blind to the wants and needs of the American public.. No more Military industrial complex which has just recently brought us to the brink of World War 3. Keep instilled a Military for defensive purposes only ( We don’t need to be a weapons leader ). Oh your country has problems ? deal with it yourselves.. No more Financial aid to third world country’s. Flat tax rate on all business based on income. Flat rate tax on all US Citizens based on income brackets. Social Security refunded and never to be borrowed from. Pay bills on time. I mean really how hard can this be ? The first step is to realize there is a problem . The second step is to fix it . Time for America to wake up period take a stand get the ball rolling . Bickering about it is never going to fix the problems we face as a country today. Just remember its the filthy rich that have brought this country to its knees. Like say every aipac jew that packs an al sharpton or jessie jackson type into their suitcase before exiting the usa for good, gets an extra $1000 bonus!

Then make the exact same offer to africans like al sharpton and jessie jackosn et al…Only they must pack an aipac jew into Their suitcase before exiting usa!

That way the two biggest trouble maker, nation wrecker groups will be hunting each other down across the nation to earn the bonus cash. With any luck, both groups will run each other into ground and 99% of americas troubles will abruptly cease for good.

Then all thats left is to include in all future school text books, teachings to assure no future generations of americans ever again allow those two types access or entry into our nation ever again.

Many parents have NO common sense. They bring kids in for scrapes and bumps that would have been ignored by my family. I once had a mom bring a child in for a scraped knee. A simple abrasion that just needed to be cleaned up and a bandaid placed on it. The mom was obviously very wealthy (all money no brains) and said that her insurance would cover the ER visit, so why not “be on the safe side” and get emergency care.

There are far too many people thinking like this.

I am so glad to be out of clinical care. I think that Obamacare will eventually lead the government to require all doctors to accept Medicaid and Medicare because many are starting to opt out or to limit the numbers they accept. I think one state is already linking accepting medicaid to relicensing. The decline in medicine is starting to accelerate.

It would be immoral and illegal for an anarcho-capitalist to have anything to do with this statist scheme to grab control of one-sixth of our economy. And all of us.

How so? It is immoral because it forces complete strangers to subsidize me. That is coercion and theft. It is illegal because it would mean I was receiving stolen property … the wealth stolen from you to subsidize my care.

if it is a “tax” not a penalty, I regard “tax” as a euphemism for “theft by government. Backed ultimately by prison or even death.”

As I commented about 20 posts ago, I got totally out of my investments and but for a nominal sum, a few hundred dollars, out of my bank. I took good advice from here and elsewhere to get into hard assets.

Although I have no [ income ] I have assets. Which most of you can successfully infer. I am also out of banks. So they are going to “seize” my money? Ha.

I will never see the big 60 again. My parents’ generation lived into their late 80s, many of them paying their own way with health professionals.

Individual liberty means being responsible for oneself. It doesn’t mean stealing from the other person even if the statists encourage doing that.

If I were a 25-year old guy with a wife and three children my calculation would be quite a bit different.

But no matter what your demographic anyone paying your way FOR YOU faces coercion and theft.

How many health professionals who are “officially retired” do you think would be happy to treat someone in their own homes who was able and willing to pay with hard assets?

Counterfeit currency, counterfeit “health care.” Bogus is bogus and should be outted for what it is.

if you guys read enough history, you will find that in a dramatic change; there’s a period of panic as people see their lives change beyond their control; but as they accept the new type of life; they adjust and move on.

the US already has nationwide water, electricity, transportation and communication relatively free from any harm in the western hemisphere. russia and china cannot bring enough harm to the US to change that.

You are right. I was going to put dead right but it wouldn’t sound right. If you prepare for 3 months you will only last about 2 months , because you will just learn how to use your food, water, and equipment in the first month and you will waisst and mess things up. I like your 3 years idea. I believe that if the SHTF it will last for about 1 1/2 years before things will get back to some type of normal. I don’t believe for 1 second it will get back to what we had in the 1980 and 1990.If we have a Civil war all bet are off.
We here in Illinois are kinda hand cuffed. We have to put up with the home town of Obullshit, and they are trying to screw up everything. Thank God I live about 80 S/W of that S@#$hole. Rumblings from the Flea Market.

Want to know what people are thinking? Set up a day at the Flea Market and listen to what people have to say. Especially if you are selling military surplus gear.

I buy and sell surplus gear for a hobby and a few extra bucks in my pocket. I go about two or three times a year. With a few months spread you can hear the changes what people have to say. It is always communicated in a low voice either Pro on Con on what is happening in our country. The chatter is a good cross section of people so it is not bias . Young and old mostly War Vets from WW2 on up. Then you can tell who the preppers are as they are as vocal as we are here.
There has been an uptick in women buying gear like Coleman stoves, lanterns and camping pots and pans.
I watch the people pass by to see what they are buying and many are carrying military gear sold by other sellers at the market. I get to talk to the REGULARS who set up every week and they say the sales are way down and so they cut their prices to make sales.
Lots of customers asking for Body Armor and MOLLE gear especially chest rigs. They have been to the ARMY/Navy outlets and say the prices are high for the good gear but most of it is just plain worn out. DRMO stuff. Small ALICE packs and frames sell well. The older Vets like the LC1 and LC2 load bearing gear.
There is one seller that only sells ammo cans. The big mortar and artillery containers also and he sells out by the end of the day.
At another store that sells everything under the sun was a pallet of MRE’s. I guess about 50 or so for $28.00 a box. Sold them all in two weeks. Checked the code and they were good to OCT 2016. Just a side note.
So as we wonder if people are preparing. I would say so. The mood of the conversation about our country is that something is coming. Not much about who is to blame.
I have also noticed that to replenish my stock I have to get up early to beat others who are buying up gear at the markets.
Maybe there are more of us than we think.

All the prepares that I have worked with and have set alliances with are good people and they are looking to help in any way after the crash. (Just don’t try to take it away from them. You will have a fight) If you ask them they will help.
I have the 1St. gunshow coming up at the end of the month for this area. I’ll see what is going down when I go there to help a FFL dealer. Last one I was at in March the folks were gearing up and they told me so. They know something is coming, (Man we Americans are smart!) and they arn’t blaming anyone one person or the group. Most don’t play the blame game, they just prepare. Alot of military stuff was going out the door mostly mags, ammo, and MREs, dried foods.
                Stay safe.

Nonsense. Scare tactics. The gov will never default, there is absolutely no reason to. The interest on outstanding debt is about $400B/year. The gov takes in $2.8T/year, the first thing they will do is pay interest on the debt. Then pay their other bills. Of course they spend $3.8T, hence the $1T trillion deficit that they need to continue to borrow for. Even that is not a problem because the fed is buying almost all the debt now.
Don’t be fooled people, this is just to scare you and make you think they did something when they settle and start blabbering all over tv how great they are.

I get so sick and f’en tired of this worthless government talking sh$% that we all know too well. This planet is in flux right, and there was just another large earthquake for a plate boundary on the southern Australia plate. Guess what, the worthless USGS said that almost all their services are now void. That means there is no place for past records of these earthquakes and where major quakes have hit after this.

From what I have seen this earthquake reenforcing the past earthquake activity on these precursor locations. The danger zones until Oct.17 remain HOT and dangerous. I am still looking at India for a possible great or mega quake. Other areas that lie in risk for something quite big are Japan, eastern Russia, ALL of the Alaskan coastline, British Columbia, Cascadia fault, Mexico to 20 degrees north to Central America, Ecuador to North Chile, Philippines, New Guinea to Somoa which includes North New Zealand to Fiji, and Central Indonesia.

I still believe that putting a barrier up to BO care is in the best interest of the people, even if this means losing valuable services like the USGS past earthquake achives. The real issue though is stopping BO and these other wads from continuing to balloon the debt. This BO helicopter ben spending should have been stopped back in 2009 before it became terminal. In any case, we all are so F’ed. If the masses knew how F’ed we all were you know what they would do? The U.S. Government does not borrow money. The U.S. Government sell treasury bonds. Over half of them each month to themselves and the other half to financial institutions, insurance companies and just old plain rich people looking for a place to stash their money and not have to pay tax’s on it. Except for themselves they are sold both here at home and abroad everywhere in the world.

Now to pay what interest and or repurchases of these T-bills the federal reserve prints up money out of thin air. As long as they can do that then there can be no default by the U.S. Government.

However this is also where hyper inflation starts to kick in as the more money printed the less the value of said money. When those people / institutions who want to cash in the treasury bills the money they get will be of less value than the original purchase price in respect to it’s purchasing power.

Because of a global economy and the United States dollar being the international treasury there is no country or company that has invested in either treasury bills or into the American economy that would want the U.S. economy to fail because if it did the rest of the world would be as poor as we would be.

So in conclusion let me just say that this is not going to happen till there is some other calamity that would prevent the United States from printing money or being considered one country under God.

and nowhere in that theory did you consider the demise of the petro dollar. it’s already happening piecemeal. it’s only a matter of time until dollars become nearly worthless for trade, and we’re having to convert those dollars into yuan, SDR’s, PM’s or what have you. and since we manufacture almost nothing here now, we’d be in much the same position as Venezuela is- where they literally can’t even literally afford to wipe their butts. in the time that it would take for a dollar bill to fall to a counter at the grocery store from your hand, it would’ve already lost most of it’s value. post-war Hungary had a DAILY inflation rate of over 207%. prices doubling every 15 hours.

I have considered the petro dollar situation and in all fairness that could be a kink in my thought process. That said though tell me who has a stronger currency than we do?

And with us becoming more oil independent, which I cannot for the life of me understand with all of Obamashits ranting’s and ravings against the oil companies, how this could have happened under his presidency. Regardless, we are becoming one of the largest oil producing countries in the world. And that would just make the petro dollar even more strong.

I could be very wrong but I have spent many years following this stuff and working in the world of finance at was once some pretty high levels. Have you ever heard of the USD (US Dollar) index?

You asked, ‘who has a stronger currency than we do?’

Well about 5 Nations do. The US Dollar is indexed against 5-6 of other leading nations. An index of 100 means our currency is equal to equated currencies of the other 5. A USD index of 120, as was during 1982-2002, means our currency is 20% stronger.

Our USD index has bounced from 90-146 between the years 1982-2002. Reagan has had the highest USD index with many times in 120-140. The latter years of Bubba had some around 115. Bush2 had a couple years close to that too. Since 2008, our USD has been mostly 80-82, meaning our currency is worth about 15-20% less than the other 5 Nations.

Two years ago, the dollar would get you about 92 cents in Canadian money. In past, it would bring about $1.15 in Canadian money.

This is why the petro folks would like to get rid of dollar. Why store the dollar as petro and world reserves when other currencies are worth more? It is like $1.00 in savings and your account shows $0.80.

That is also why China is buying so much of our stuff from land to T-Bills. You see, a stronger currency always purchases the weaker currency because of bargains.

The dollar is toasted. When China and others start to cash in, we are nothing but confederate money.

When the banking crisis happened in 2008, the USD index was 72-75 that week.

We are collapsing at the 80-85 mark anyway. That means our currency is 15-20% below the other currencies. If our economy was truly recovering, then the USD index would be at 100 or above. It hasn’t been above 100 since 2004(?).

The USD index at the 1987 stock market crash was 95.

So now you know why they are pumping phony money into the system and why they are issuing bonds to buy back our own debt.

Take israel as an example, since day one 1948 israel has been the largest welfare state in the world. If usa quit funding israel multi billions per yr, Plus tens of billions More in various war machines and ammo, not to mention wars to benift israel Americans pays for.

AND if Germans ever Wise Up, and stop paying israel WWII war reperations cash, over and over, again and again every time some whinny jew claims they too are a “Survivor”, which today number close to FIVE-Million holyhoax survivors. Israel would collapse in two minits without both usa and germans constant Guilt cash payments.

Ironic that on one hand, holyhoaxer survivors claim how utterly Efficent and quick germans were able to mass kill so many jews in so short a time frame in WWII era…While on the Other hand, directly at wars end there were aprox 42,000 survivors alive that were jewish.

Yet today official survivor claims numbers, jews who recieve monthly checks etc…Are close to 5 million survivors!

If 5 Million survived the holyhoax, then perhaps germans were NOT so efficent after all eh…Because if as jews claim Six million died, six to ten million More escaped prior to becomeing “Campers”…And Today a whopping almost 5 million still alive survivors exist, and That number climbs yearly…Then Fuzzy Math must be at play no?

They only ever have aprox 13-14 Million total worldwide ever in the last many centuries. Cannot Wait for average german taxpayers to wise up on that issue as I heard germans are very good at math!

Either way though so far all those other nations you state of keep takeing Free cash from usa right. Why do you think they will suddenly stop that takeing?

Aprox 2/3rds of the 27 Trillion Bail outs since 2008 or whenever it began, went directly to European Banks. None rejected taking it. I bet they actually Spend some too and enjoy it same as do welfare monkys here in usa.

Remember ALL them gloom and doom collapse Books you been reading are FICTION accounts of what “Ifs”..Based on some economic “experts” ideas not yet ever tried.

Obama is neither villain or savior. The die was cast for this eventual catastrophe when the Bretton Woods Agreement was abandoned in 1971. Free Trade and the demise of Glass Steagall were certainly catalysts accelerating the downward spiral. Obama like those preceding him do the bidding of the power elite regardless if they desire to or not. At worst they take orders. At best they have little practical alternative.

The reality is as this progressed like a snowball going downhill its inertia increased. Maybe prior to the great industrial evisceration post NAFTA and China Free Trade and prior to the demise of Glass Steagall this could have been reversed without extreme pain or outright collapse. I think your percentages of responsibility are a tad wrong with Johnson and Vietnam and his Great Society putting forward the events that caused the abandonment of Bretton Woods. That was worth 25% right there.

The math I used was based for the time period. Yes, if FDR was president today his rating would be much higher than the 2% and Carter have been worse too.

I used the economy, the strength of the dollar for that time period, the national debt at that time, and the annual spending debts for each president.

If you noticed, Reagan is not in it. That is because he took over a $500B debt with 22% interest rates and turned this country back into an economic power-house with a dollar value 25% above all currencies. People say Reagan tripled the debt, not true. It was the first Bush where the debt tripled.

Clinton, after the dems lost in 2004, slowed the debt down and congressional spending was actually a surplus.

                Then came Bush and BHO.

The mess did start under the Bush administration until 2006. From there the dems have had the control on spending.

                Anyway, we have a mess.

As the dems did with Bush in 2006 (lame-duck), we need to do the same in 2014. We are out-of-control.

You didn’t read the rest of the page. At the bottom there is a little window with figures that you can copy and paste to a document or spreadsheet. If you look at the figures in the resulting table, you will see a figure that is not accounted for in the pretty pie chart. That is the federal deficit, the amount the government is estimated to be going in the hole during 2014. That is $744 billion dollars that the government (ever optimistic) estimates that they won’t have enough revenue to cover. It will most likely turn out to be over a trillion dollars, going by all the past years of Obama.

That 6% in the pie chart is over $200 billion dollars. That’s a lot of interest. And there is nothing in the budget to pay on the principal, because they’re in the hole over a trillion dollars every year.

If you check figures for the past few years, you will see that if absolutely everything in the federal government were shut down, defense, congress, all cabinet departments, and only entitlements were left, the government would still have a deficit every year.

So your whole message is incorrect. In other words, BS.

Supposedley we had a housing crash that we have sort of recovered from. That is probably the biggest bullshit statement I have ever typed. We are still in the biggest housing crash and financial melt down this country has ever seen. It is so far from over. Well, that for another day.

You see in China they are just at the beginning of an employment crash that may well cause a power shift and a complete restart of their economy as well. They have spent all of their resources in keeping the people employed. If you can trust the numbers they have put out they now have a GDP rate of less than 2.4 %. Compare that to the U.S.’ supposed GDP of what 2.9. In both cases though for an economy to grow it takes at least 4.5 % GDP increase each year.

Unemployment in China is well over 20% at this time and getting worse every month. And unlike here in the U.S. they don’t have part time jobs. Just jobs that pay jack nothing and because of inflation over in China as is here it does not buy very much.

The problem is that China the government is the main employer in the country. They like us are pumping out currency like there is no tomorrow but because so many raw materials have to purchased out of country they cannot afford enough to keep their people working.

So when the peoples republic get tired of no job, food and or money they are going to turn on that countries leaders. When that happens just like it is going to here sooner or later all hell is going to hit the fan around the world. Because if they go then we go as well and visa versa.

And there is no one else with the size and scope of an economy like either China or the U.S. to take our place. Goodbye global economy. Goodbye to all that we or they knew as the good old days.

Conclusion of Ron Paul’s farewell speech to congress in Nov 2012. Entire speech worth reading at: http://www.naturalnews.com/038006_Ron_Paul_farewell_speech_liberty (dot) html

What are the greatest dangers that the American people face today and impede the goal of a free society? There are five.

      1. The continuous attack on our civil liberties which threatens the rule of law and our ability to resist the onrush of tyranny.

      2. Violent anti-Americanism that has engulfed the world. Because the phenomenon of “blow-back” is not understood or denied, our foreign policy is destined to keep us involved in many wars that we have no business being in. National bankruptcy and a greater threat to our national security will result.

      3. The ease in which we go to war, without a declaration by Congress, but accepting international authority from the UN or NATO even for preemptive wars, otherwise known as aggression.

      4. A financial political crisis as a consequence of excessive debt, unfunded liabilities, spending, bailouts, and gross discrepancy in wealth distribution going from the middle class to the rich. The danger of central economic planning, by the Federal Reserve must be understood.

      5. World government taking over local and US sovereignty by getting involved in the issues of war, welfare, trade, banking, a world currency, taxes, property ownership, and private ownership of guns.

Happily, there is an answer for these very dangerous trends.

What a wonderful world it would be if everyone accepted the simple moral premise of rejecting all acts of aggression. The retort to such a suggestion is always: it’s too simplistic, too idealistic, impractical, naïve, utopian, dangerous, and unrealistic to strive for such an ideal.

The answer to that is that for thousands of years the acceptance of government force, to rule over the people, at the sacrifice of liberty, was considered moral and the only available option for achieving peace and prosperity.

What could be more utopian than that myth — considering the results especially looking at the state sponsored killing, by nearly every government during the 20th Century, estimated to be in the hundreds of millions. It’s time to reconsider this grant of authority to the state.

No good has ever come from granting monopoly power to the state to use aggression against the people to arbitrarily mold human behavior. Such power, when left unchecked, becomes the seed of an ugly tyranny. This method of governance has been adequately tested, and the results are in: reality dictates we try liberty.

The idealism of non-aggression and rejecting all offensive use of force should be tried. The idealism of government sanctioned violence has been abused throughout history and is the primary source of poverty and war. The theory of a society being based on individual freedom has been around for a long time. It’s time to take a bold step and actually permit it by advancing this cause, rather than taking a step backwards as some would like us to do.

Today the principle of habeas corpus, established when King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215, is under attack. There’s every reason to believe that a renewed effort with the use of the internet that we can instead advance the cause of liberty by spreading an uncensored message that will serve to rein in government authority and challenge the obsession with war and welfare.

What I’m talking about is a system of government guided by the moral principles of peace and tolerance.

The Founders were convinced that a free society could not exist without a moral people. Just writing rules won’t work if the people choose to ignore them. Today the rule of law written in the Constitution has little meaning for most Americans, especially those who work in Washington DC.

Benjamin Franklin claimed “only a virtuous people are capable of freedom.” John Adams concurred: “Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

A moral people must reject all violence in an effort to mold people’s beliefs or habits.

A society that boos or ridicules the Golden Rule is not a moral society. All great religions endorse the Golden Rule. The same moral standards that individuals are required to follow should apply to all government officials. They cannot be exempt.

The ultimate solution is not in the hands of the government.

The solution falls on each and every individual, with guidance from family, friends and community.

The #1 responsibility for each of us is to change ourselves with hope that others will follow. This is of greater importance than working on changing the government; that is secondary to promoting a virtuous society. If we can achieve this, then the government will change.

It doesn’t mean that political action or holding office has no value. At times it does nudge policy in the right direction. But what is true is that when seeking office is done for personal aggrandizement, money or power, it becomes useless if not harmful. When political action is taken for the right reasons it’s easy to understand why compromise should be avoided. It also becomes clear why progress is best achieved by working with coalitions, which bring people together, without anyone sacrificing his principles.

Political action, to be truly beneficial, must be directed toward changing the hearts and minds of the people, recognizing that it’s the virtue and morality of the people that allow liberty to flourish.

The Constitution or more laws per se, have no value if the people’s attitudes aren’t changed.

To achieve liberty and peace, two powerful human emotions have to be overcome. Number one is “envy” which leads to hate and class warfare. Number two is “intolerance” which leads to bigoted and judgmental policies. These emotions must be replaced with a much better understanding of love, compassion, tolerance and free market economics. Freedom, when understood, brings people together. When tried, freedom is popular.

The problem we have faced over the years has been that economic interventionists are swayed by envy, whereas social interventionists are swayed by intolerance of habits and lifestyles. The misunderstanding that tolerance is an endorsement of certain activities, motivates many to legislate moral standards which should only be set by individuals making their own choices. Both sides use force to deal with these misplaced emotions. Both are authoritarians. Neither endorses voluntarism. Both views ought to be rejected.

I have come to one firm conviction after these many years of trying to figure out “the plain truth of things.” The best chance for achieving peace and prosperity, for the maximum number of people world-wide, is to pursue the cause of LIBERTY.

We know there is no new paper series dated post 2009. I have series for each year from 1993 to 2009. Nothing thereafter. How do you know that the banks are not slowly taking the paper cash out of the system?

How much paper cash is in circulation today?
How much will there be lets say in two years?

They only change the date on paper money when the signatures change or when the overall design changes. If the signatures haven’t changed, then the money that was printed today still says 2009.

I checked my money, and I only have bills dated 2004, 2006, and 2009. The only difference between them was the two signatures on the front.

Now, if I owned a team, was a member of a team or had the ear of one of the above I’d suggest that we take the game “off “ to show that we, as Americans respect the sacrifice and just not show-up on Sunday but that’s not going to happen. Then I had this epiphany, on October 11-13 American and Canadian truckers are expected to converge on Washington D.C. in protest that we have all had enough. http://www.wnd.com/2013/09/now-truckers-convoy-to-d-c/
I suggest that we take it one step further let us all join in by simply dropping out. What I’m asking is that we make no purchases period, if we own a business close it for those three days. Pull the breakers from your panel and don’t participate with the “system in any way. Let’s make these three days a dress rehearsal for the times a lot of us are prepping for anyway. I believe it will draw some attention when there are few if any cars on the road and no revenue being generated.

If we say “China is really profiting from the United States”, to whom are we really referring? It is true that the Chinese government is getting an advantage in economic activity, but who is the front-line collectors of revenue and aggregators of profit in China?

You guessed it. Multinational corporations who have moved their businesses to China. America is being plundered and the global corporations rack up record profits.

      AMERICA IS FOR SALE

This sale is under the table in that most Americans don’t have a clue that it is being sold out from under their feet–one piece at a time. The sale is deceptive because as the red ink grows larger and larger, we are told by the global elite groups like the Trilateral Commission that trade and budget deficits dont really matter that much. The sale is dishonest because it was planned from the beginning by these elite groups like the Trilateral Commission to TWIST AND MANIPULATE THE SYSTEM.

The fact that America’s downward financial spiral started in earnest shortly after the Trilateral Commission was founded by David Rockefeller and Zbigniew Brzezinski is NOT incidental.

The policies that brought us the “New International Economic Order” (their own phrase) have wrecked our country.

America is in a grevious and trepid situation.

Any number of isolated incidents could touch off a financial firestorm that burns our house to the ground. When a corporation goes bankrupt, it seldom is advertised in advance. Its customers, shareholders and debtors are invariably in a state of shock when the bankruptcy occurs, even though hindsight shows there were ample evidences of impending bankruptcy. So it is with America. There is evidence everywhere of what is happening to us, but there are few eyes to see, and ears to hear it.

In 30-40 short years America has gone from the strongest and most stable nation on earth to one of the weakest and most unstable.

Poor Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall and had a great fall, but few people will see the real truth that HUMPTY WAS PUSHED.

“In the event that a debt limit impasse were to lead to a default, it could have a catastrophic effect on not just financial markets but also on job creation, consumer spending and economic growth,” the report said.”

Therefore we should keep the fraud going by printing more money and hoping the world doesn’t notice that it’s backed by nothing.
These idiots assume money can be created out of thin air for eternity with no consequences.

“Credit markets could freeze, the value of the dollar could plummet, US interest rates could skyrocket, the negative spillovers could reverberate around the world, and there might be a financial crisis and recession that could echo the events of 2008 or worse.”

Therefore we should keep the fraud going by printing more money and hoping the world doesn’t notice that it’s backed by nothing.
These idiots assume money can be created out of thin air for eternity with no consequences.

Hint to these delusional masters of the universe:
Default will happen regardless, due to the utterly reckless fiscal and monetary policies set in place by elite politicians and financial kings.
They’ve (the pirates) already skimmed the cream off the top, and the serfs now get to pay the price.
The standard of living MUST decline for awhile, perhaps a long while, until an equilibrium is achieved again.
There will be defaults as a credit backed world discovers that promises to pay are not the same as actual payments.
The standard of living was inflated by cheap credit and unending debt expansion.
The piper will be paid and there is no way to avoid it.
Take the medicine now and drop the pretense of eternal economic “growth”.
But… they will never take the medicine so they’ll pull the world into an abyss that will last for decades.
This outcome is already baked in the cake.

In the video George Soros wanted to replace the dollar with the IMF’s new world currency, which he talked about at least a decade ago. And George Soros is also known for “the guy who broke the bank of England.” :(

IMF drafted a contract to have 27 countries agree to IMF’s laws. Twenty 26 nations did, except Britain. Germany / Merkel signed the contract, and demanded PM David Cameron sign it as well, but he refused.

Someone please explain to me how we could default when our tax revenues more than cover the basic expenses. Tax revenue is at all time highs or around $240 billion. Our basic expenses that include making interest payments, social security, medicare, medicaid, military, etc, only amount to just over $200 billion per month.

How is a default possible with those figures? Yes, our credit card would be cut up. No more deficit spending and hard decisions to make but so what, those decisions need to be made anyways.

If we make the interest payments, no default. Am I missing something here?

My hubby answered (he selectively filters what I say) and told mike that in three days mass hysteria would set in and it would be SHTF. I was the perfect opportunity for me to have their full attention and explain why it is I do what I do. For me they concern is hitting the debt limit during this shutdown. Who blinks first? What if nobody blinks? how long until they truly stop printing ss checks, loading snap cards? Will it be fixed before 11/1? If this isn’t settled before 11/1, all the fixed income folks will be SHTF on that day I would suppose.
