U.S. Marshals Scan Passenger Retinas to Board Flight: “Like Everyone Else, I Complied”

During the war on terrorism, Americans compromised their liberties to fight for freedom. Now, during the war on immigration, Americans will again be compelled to sacrifice liberties for American sovereignty.

In the name of security, anywhere, anytime. All measures will be justified, everyone will be authorized and the population will be controlled.

That is the moment we have arrived at in America.

A combination of policies that President Obama put into place, as well as fresh executive orders put in place by President Trump’s executive orders, have created a new front in the world of national security. They are now using biometrics to verify passport and identity, in the name of cracking down on immigration.

Additional scrutiny, and an over-bearing scent of gestapo is again cropping up in airports, as yet another layer of surveillance is added to the line up.

Here’s a look at one version of the machines now being tested and phased in at airports and other checkpoints:

Both visitors from abroad, and American citizens alike have now been required to submit to biometric iris scans in order to board a flight. Wow.

via Jeffrey Tucker of the Foundation of Economic Education:

For some 15 years, airport security has become steadily more invasive. There are ever more checkpoints, ever more requests for documents as you make your way from the airport entrance to the airplane. Passengers adapt to the new changes as they come. But my latest flight to Mexico, originating in Atlanta, presented all passengers with something I had never seen before.

We had already been through boarding pass checks, passport checks, scanners, and pat downs. At the gate, each passenger had already had their tickets scanned and we were all walking on the jet bridge to board. It’s at this point that most people assume that it is all done: finally we can enjoy some sense of normalcy.

This time was different. Halfway down the jetbridge, there was a new layer of security. Two US Marshals, heavily armed and dressed in dystopian-style black regalia, stood next to an upright machine with a glowing green eye. Every passenger, one by one, was told to step on a mat and look into the green scanner. It was scanning our eyes and matching that scan with the passport, which was also scanned (yet again).

Like everyone else, I complied. What was my choice? I guess I could have turned back at the point, decline to take the flight I had paid for, but it would be unclear what would then happen. After standing there for perhaps 8 seconds, the machine gave the go signal and I boarded.

I talked to a few passengers about this and others were just as shaken by the experience. They were reticent even to talk about it, as people tend to be when confronted with something like this.

I couldn’t find anyone who had ever seen something like this before. I wrote friends who travel internationally and none said they had ever seen anything like this.

I will tell you how it made me feel: like a prisoner in my own country. It’s one thing to control who comes into a country. But surveilling and permissioning American citizens as they leave their own country, even as they are about to board, is something else.

This isn’t required for all flights, yet.

This writer encountered a Homeland Security / U.S. Customs and Border Protection test at select airports… they are still working out the kinks.

But the question is, after all the frustrations that Americans had with flying after 9/11, and watching their liberties sacrificed at the alter security, after dealing with ridiculously long lines – are Americans now willing sacrifice even more liberties and submit their biometric scans?

Unfortunately, they may be.

As a general mass, Americans have proved underwhelming in their opposition to invasions of privacy on the part of private corporations, especially those online and in computing and communication devices. They have also shrugged off and become immune to fifteen years of airport harassment and additional checks and scans.

Now, iris scans might even one day make security faster – but it’s a devilish tradeoff, and an enormous trust of power an agency that was created into existence out of the 9/11 emergency atmosphere, and which grows only when feeding the machine fear and terror.

Update: a reader has pointed me to this page at Homeland Security:

As part of U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) border security mission, the agency is deploying new technologies to verify travelers’ identities – both when they arrive and when they leave the United States – by matching a traveler to the document they are presenting. CBP’s goal is to enhance national security and protect a traveler’s identity against theft through the use of biometrics.

Biometric information (such as finger, face, or iris) measures a person’s unique physical characteristics. CBP incorporated fingerprints for biometric identification and verification in 2004, and is now testing facial and iris imaging capabilities to help improve travelers’ identity protection, the integrity of our immigration system, and our national security.

I happened to be on the “one daily flight” that gets exit scanned.

[…]

What people don’t often consider is that every rule that pertains to immigration ultimately applies to emigration as well. Every rule that government has to treat immigrants a certain way also necessarily applies to citizens as well.

Chandran Kukathas is right when he says that “controlling immigration means controlling everyone.” (source)

It looks like their tests have so far met with very little resistance, and all signs green, as support for Trump’s new order of police, border, military and security agencies are given new mandates to enforce laws, and take necessary measures to control borders, verify individuals and protect the country. That’s the narrative, and Americans are cheering it on with very little forethought about the consequences it could hold.

For now, Americans are willing to accept new controls.

That is, if nobody reawakens to the massive civil liberties issue that is going on.

This was probably a test to see how willingly everyone would comply. Looks like the sheeple failed again.

    • Retired says:

What do you expect the people to do …. Stopped on the gangway not.
much else you can do ….. With out losing your money …

      • Madashell says:

That is a great question but it isn’t what we expect people to do, it is what are you going to do and what am I going to do.
It is clear, through an accurate reading of history that our nation is no longer a free Republic. The Administrative State (through the Administrative Procedures Act of 1941) has usurped our Republic. We are now witnessing how they operate. So what ya gonna do?
For me, I will not comply. I will be a thorn in their side and probably wind in either in a cage or deceased early but I no longer care. I will press them for their “authority” over me at every turn, in their courts and in their hearts – if they still have one. I will sue, argue and be a general pain in their collective backsides. God didn’t make me to comply with rules given by a corrupt and criminal government.
        I WILL NOT COMPLY!

        • Jasmine says:

          “I WILL NOT COMPLY!”
Yeah right. Of course you will just like John Stiner (below) complied. You will do it because of the legal hassle you want to avoid, and because you want to get to a destination, and because like many here who ranted and raved that they wouldn’t put up wit Hillary, Obama, etc., and etc., and how they will shoot to kill, blah, blah, blah they like the hand of their masters. Nobody really wants to make a stand. But refusing to go through the scan just might be the needed catalyst to fight back and start a Tieneman square incident.

      • Paul Patriot says:

This is the difference between patriots in the time of the founding of this nation and the apethetic Americans today…….the founders were willing to give everything up for liberty.

We are still relatively free, wait until we lose our liberty, then you may change your view on standing up and losing money…or simply tolerating tyranny.

        • Anonymous says:

I guarantee I wouldn’t have quietly complied. Wonder how many bogus arrests will happen to those that refuse or question this bullshit? All this safety crap is nothing but a ruse for tighter controls.

      • John Stiner says:

I had a similar experience of tyranny in the Louisville Airport flying to Houston.

I went through the main security then was waiting at the gate with my wife and two kids. We were obvious tourists returning home.

An incredibly obese TSA agent pulled me aside just before boarding and said I had been randomly chosen for additional screening.

I then had to submit to a “pat down” while standing in line.

I did not object because I wanted to go home with my family. I knew if i objected I wouldn’t be allowed to board the plane.

What really pissed me off is that there was a middle eastern man waiting in line in front of us wearing traditional Muslim clothing and holding a cello case. How many middle eastern men have you ever seen playing the cello? None.

Did he get “additional” screening. Of course not.

I was standing there with my two kids, 4 and 7 years old, and they thought I was a terrorist.

What a bunch of garbage. I ZERO faith in our government.

        • Jasmine says:

What about the faith in yourself? You let them do this to you in front of your family and they got away with it. What does your family think of you now? What do you think of yourself?

I refuse to fly any more. F-em. I am not a slave nor cattle. And I reject the Zionist DHS and TSA. It their goal for us to be their slaves. F-U!!

            • laura ann says:

Zeus: yup likie cattle and slavery, Flying may be worse today than having gall bladder or knee arthroscopic surgery. Never liked flying as many times flew in the past when things were lots better (meals and snacks, too much to eat, large roomy seats, friendly people) only lost luggage was a concern. We traveled when times were different decades back.

BOYCOTT Flying Period!!!. Drive people, Gas is cheap. See America one mile at a time. When I was a kid we used to go on vacations for weeks and up to a month, Pop-up Trailer. Stop being herded cattle into the branding station to get permission and the mark of the beast tattooed on your forehead, “I AM A SLAVE” for f@cks sake.

Go live your lives “Off their Grid and Free of the Beast.”

          • Jacknife says:

Jasmine, what would his family have thought if he didn’t comply? Two very young children who really don’t understand anything but spongebob and crayons. And his wife? Perhaps it would’ve been “a woman scorned” situation. I fly to a lot of places for my job. Sometimes when I get off the plane, I go right to work so I have my uniform on. I work for a global and highly respected yuuuuge corporation. Sometimes I get the pat down, sometimes they’ll swab my hand(s) sometimes while I’m in my work uniform no less. So tell me Jas, what should I do? I do what everyone else does. 1) for obvious reasons 2) maybe I don’t give a shit cause at the end of the day I’m just 1 guy tryin to get somewhere and it ain’t jail. I hate this shit as much as anyone could but there really ain’t anything we can do. You were right about people spouting off in your first post, I couldn’t agree more but this is what it is for people that fly. Eventually the system will collapse and a whole lotta fields are gonna be leveled out, God says so. Till then……..

I believe in the old adage of, ” keep shut about your likes and dislikes lest they be used against you”. I just usually listen to their opinions, nod and smile but never offer mine. Needless to say when I leave after getting their equipment squared away, I reflect on what they said. I then figure that either they’re screwed or by blind luck, they’ll catch on and outlive me. TSA Busted for smuggling 20 Tons of Cocaine

Interestingly an illegal alien can get a drivers license in California with nothing for documentation. Granted that is most likely a Mexican illegal but its doubtful, with the political correctness the State of California, that a middle eastern illegal wouldn’t be held to the same non existent standard. Conversely you get everything but a urine test (and thats coming). This convoluted and ostensible anti terrorist check reminds me of firearms registration where the convicted felon is exempt. Once again, ostensible.

    • Kevin2 says:

      OSTENSIBLE

      adjective
The definition of ostensible is something that seems to be true but it may not be true.
An example of ostensible is a reason that is given for a trip that may not be the real reason.

There is noting more that defines what we’re told than; “The reason that is given is not the real reason”.

      • PO'd Patriot says:

Damn I’m gonna have to read your definition a little more slowly so my pea brain can grasp wtf you just spouted. I just wanna say, “SAY WHAT”?????

        • Kevin2 says:

          PO’d Patriot

Ostensible is when they say we’re doing it for this reason, terrorism for example, when its about controlling the masses. Another example is that Iraq was invaded because of WMD when in reality that government was removed because they broke the oil peg. Fighting ISIS is another example because ISIS was created and is being armed and funded by the US to topple Syria.

I have a difficult time coming up with anything we’re told from official sources that isn’t ostensible.

I hope this clarifies the definition of the word ostensible and its application in government explanations.

          • buttcrackofdoom says:

They deceive the public to be their cannon fodder ostensibly fighting terrorism, for democracy, the old standby freedom when its all for geo-political control of resources and labor.

Excerpt from a speech delivered in 1933 by two time recipient of the Medal Of Honor General Smedley Butler, USMC

War is just a racket. There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket.

It may seem odd for me, a military man to adopt such a comparison. Truthfulness compels me to. I spent thirty-three years and four months in active military service as a member of this country’s most agile military force, the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major-General. And during that period, I spent most of my time being a high class muscle-man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers.

I suspected I was just part of a racket at the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all the members of the military profession, I never had a thought of my own until I left the service. My mental faculties remained in suspended animation while I obeyed the orders of higher-ups. This is typical with everyone in the military service.

I helped make Mexico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China I helped to see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested.

During those years, I had, as the boys in the back room would say, a swell racket. Looking back on it, I feel that I could have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.

                • T4R2 says:

                  Kevin2,

Thank you for your service, insight and candor.

                • Jacknife says:

T4R2. Kevin 2 was quoting General Butler

      • Kevin2:

Gee, I don’t think I’ve ever used that word. Probably because I did not grasp it’s meaning, having mistakenly interjected the word, “supposedly” as synonymous; which, apparently, it is not.

The words (and the things) which are the source of greatest confusion, are not the things we don’t know. The greatest source of confusion, mistakes, and wrong ideas are the things we think we know, but don’t.

Coming to this site is sometimes a total waste of precious time. And other times, it is enlightening.

Ostensibly, I have heard the word, “ostensibly” mostly while listening to the news on CBS, ABC, and NBC, and FOX; and reading newspapers.

“Ostensibly” will precede every statement, so that later, I can deny I ever said it.

This proves one thing: We have been bamboozled, hoodwinked, conned, and played.
These psychoanalytic messengers called news people knew that they were lying to us and that we would absorb only the parts known, understood and familiar.

I’m pissed off again, and I ain’t ostensible.

        __

        • Kevin2 says:

Its a single word to describe an ulterior motive. They say their doing it for X but the real reason is Y. In the case of government the X (the excuse) is created by them, its impact is grossly exaggerated, it may not even exist while Y (the real reason) is ignored, never mentioned and if brought to light sold as ‘conspiracy theory”.

    • The Deplorable Braveheart says:

Kevin2, that’s only one more example of what I’ve always said about minority groups getting special treatment from govt. In my area, if a white person is caught driving without insurance, they get penalized. But it never happens to any of the minorities. They do it all the time with impunity because of ‘affirmative action’.

We were camping at a place that had some “Riff Raff” that that were using the place as a home. Not just poor as that can befall many but rather very low class. Unfortunately it was the only place open and we wanted to do things in the area. A woman there, told us this. “I can do anything I want, I don’t have any money, what are they going to do to me”? The anything is an exaggeration but it has a lot of truth in that statement.

The British gave all their entire NY and Ohio Valley away to the New Englanders when they lost the Revolutionary War. The Mohawk sided with the British BTW/ in that war against the European squatters. They felt they would fair far better with the British Military than the Invaders who kept squatting farther and farther west into their lands and hunting grounds. This is what happens to a Nation when you give open arms to visitors who then turn into liv-ins and never leave.

  8. People would much rather do an iris scan or finger print than a full body search. So, when they start this, most will comply. But here is something much worse. I just heard the last five minutes of an interview on Rense Radio. I gather the speaker said that TPTB have synthetics which become part of your DNA going into vaccines.

DNA means whatever they’re doing is passed on to future offspring forever. They are tricking people with promises of longer life and improved intelligence. Since I only got the tail end of the conversation, I don’t know what’s up with this.

My guess is that it is probably going to make them sterile and or sick and or retarded, and it will be passed on for ever until they wipe us out. They are not going to give us mind expanding or life extending anything. I would not let anyone near me or mine with anything that is injected into your body. It could even be a chip. Who knows?

      • John Stiner says:

In 2004, Sunday Times journalist Brian Deer reported serious ethical violations by the 1998 paper’s lead author, gastroenterologist Andrew Wakefield. Deer accused Wakefield of having been paid by a law firm that had been planning to sue vaccine manufacturers and of subjecting some of the children to unnecessary, invasive procedures for the study. After the revelations, most of the researchers named as co-authors in the study disavowed the findings and withdrew their names from the paper. In 2010, the Lancet’s editors retracted the paper. Three months later, Britain’s General Medical Council revoked Wakefield’s medical license.

In 2011, the British medical journal the BMJ published a detailed investigation into the research, calling it an “elaborate fraud” by Wakefield and lamenting the harm it had caused and would continue to cause to the public health.

“It’s one thing to have a bad study, a study full of error, and for the authors then to admit that they made errors,” BMJ editor-in-chief Fiona Godlee told CNN at the time. “But in this case, we have a very different picture of what seems to be a deliberate attempt to create an impression that there was a link by falsifying the data.”

The director of “Vaxxed” — and the main expert who appears on camera — is that same Andrew Wakefield.

        Propaganda…….

It is better to get your kids vaccinated.

        • The Deplorable Braveheart says:

Direct link: drtenpenny.com. this lady exposes the truth about vaccines. Very interesting site.

        • buttcrackofdoom says:

there’s ONE side of the story. if you WATCH the movie, you MIGHT have another opinion. i sure as hell can’t say authoratively, but the data is very compelling. the fact that we had virtually NO autism in the 30’s, and now one in 50 children have it…..does that not compel you to look a little closer….SOUNDS like you aint SEEN the movie.

        • John Stiner:

For enough money, and under sufficient pressure; any one person or group can be made to say and do just about anything. One way to discredit all is to discredit one. So, even if one doctor is guilty of fraud( not that Wakefield is guilty, or innocent), it still does not definitively resolve the debate.

Even pro vaccine doctors admit that flu shots are ineffectual, money makers. And pro vaccine doctors admit that too many vaccines in one shot could pose risks which single dose vaccines do not. And even pro vaccine doctors admit that certain additives such as formaldehyde, thermerisol, and squalene are poisonous toxins capable of causing brain damage, particularly in genius gifted brains with more receptors which are more sensitive as well, thereby causing the greatest damage to the best and brightest.

This tragedy is a loss not only for parents but for humanity, because it is from these minds that the solutions to tomorrow’s problems rely, but from whom we will now hear a deafening silence.

Leaked evidence points to Big Pharma encouraging disease outbreaks to promote higher vaccination rates

” whistleblowers filed a False Claims Act document where they listed the fraudulent actions taken by Merck. After reading it, there’s virtually no doubt that government fraud has taken place. And still, very few seem to be reporting on this. It’s apparent that Big Pharma has a stranglehold on the mainstream media, who continue to blindly promote vaccinations, despite all of the mounting evidence against them. When will this all come crashing down?

“As soon as people begin to turn off their televisions and open their eyes.”

BCOD, click on the link I posted below for Dr. Sherry Tenpenny’s website. She exposes the truth about vaccines. You’ll never view vaccines the same way again. http://drtenpenny.com

B from CA, I know you’re making some valid points, but SHEEPLE getting longer life spans and improved intelligence? No way. I agree with your guess concerning it. No chips, vaccines, etc for me ever!

  10. Gods Rebel says:

This kind of conditioning is leading to the implementation of the mark of the beast.

Most people who insist on their comfort zone and are inclined to go along to get along will take the mark.

People who found themselves in this situation at the airport should have insisted that the airport does not have their consent to do an Iris scan and they will not permit an Iris scan to be done.

Everyone who values life and especially their eternal life will have to make a decision within themselves in regard to at what point do you resist to the point of taking up arms and defending yourself even to death. Most people are not going to make this decision. Be prepared to stand alone.

In Christ, you are never alone however. God bless you all.

    • Zeus says:

“In Christ, you are never alone however.” Oh Really??,

So did you tell that to the TSA agent who molested you that Christ was with you? And what did your friend Christ do about the molestation?? Tell you to “Love they enemy?”

You may as well kiss the Blarney Stone. Maybe carry your lucky rabbit foot next time through the TSA. lol

      • Smokey says:

Zeus, you are now Christian-hating filth of the lowest order.

      • grandee says:

Tell you to “Love the enemy?”

        Yes Zeus, you are correct.

        Matt 5:44 But I (Jesus speaking) say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

God takes care of His own.

did/has/will anyone under going this type of scan, stop first and ask if it is actually mandatory? often times, being told to do something doesnt actually mean it is required…

    Hey U.S. Marshals….scan my brown eye…..pricks.

    ….fukem…..don’t fly….BA.

  13. Charley Waite says:

Coming back into the US in Miami airport there was a machine that scanned your passport then took a full face pic and matched facial structure with the passport photo. No iris scan

    • John Stiner says:

Why would they bother…. The passport pics you get from Walgreens can be of anybody. There is no verification that the passport pic is actually of you.

By the way, I just did passports for all five of my family members, it cost $790 total.

      What a rip off.

    • Plan twice, prep once says:

I too went through those passport scanner connected to the high resolution camera. That camera is totally able to produce an image so clear they get a retinal scan. We are in the system.

A few years ago, immigration spent a lot on hand and fingerprint print scanning, but it’s a really bad technology, so they abandon it. I bought a good quality small safe with a fingerprint reader lock, to tuck goodies in when I’m out. It’s nice technology, but it fails when my hands are really cold. It also craps out if I’ve been working on a wood project doing a lot of sanding. It also doesn’t work if I do a heavy extended project that builds callouses on my hands. The safe came with a disclaimer that says “it is often unreliable for people over 50 because with age the skin tends to thin”. I really like the safe, but is very good it also came with a ten digit keypad.

My last trip through DMV to renew my license revealed they were using the same high resolution camera that customs was using. So I’m on file. At this point they have everything short of DNA.

Hitler is back winning, and it will take the same miracle it did last time to beat it. Thankfully, God is not out of miracles. If you ever read some of the history of WWII and some of the incredible things that turned the tide, you will come away staggered).

Spain Takes Down Ex-Head of IMF; Dozens of Others Prosecuted in Enormous International Banking Corruption Scandal
    February 27, 2017/by Matt Agorist

In many other countries, excluding the United States, corrupt bankers are often brought to task by their respective governments. The most recent example of a corrupt banker being held accountable comes our of Spain, in which the former head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Rodrigo Rato was sentenced to four years and six months behind bars.
According to the AFP, Spain’s National Court, which deals with corruption and financial crime cases, said he had been found guilty of embezzlement when he headed up Caja Madrid and Bankia, at a time when both groups were having difficulties.

Vaccines contain mercury, a neurotoxin, enough said. On the iris scanning, people are like sheep headed for shearing. Give them an inch, they’ll take a mile. I haven’t flown in over 45 years and never will again. People still put to much faith that somehow government has their best interests first and foremost. I saw this article over at activist post and came here to read the comments.

  19. anonymous says:

Someone needs to make some contacts that will block your iris from being scanned or at least give a false one for them to take.

  23. It's Over says:

Like others, I have not flown since 1999, and will never fly again.

No big loss. I couldn’t stand sitting with all the low life scum on these airlines the last time I ‘flew’. If I had to fly now I would open the door in mid-flight and start throwing them out.

I predict the retina scan once fully deployed, will eventually be used for driver’s licenses as well.

You have two choices, prepare your life to resist, or get in line and die with the rest.

I predict they will next be using anal probes to map the contours of your ass for identification. The sodomites will love it.

The people in this country will happily bend over and grab their ankles, just as easily as they stand there now and have their eyeballs irradiated during the scan.

  24. TEST says:

When flying, I always, always opt out of their scans. I do so respectfully, but insistently. I also respect that they need to stop the bad guys, but there has to be a balance with freedom. Iris scans are NOT it.

Thought: Why don’t they have an airline called “Concealed Carry Airline,’ where EVERYBODY carries? First bad guy that stands up, you’ll hear BLAM BLAM BLAM! No more bad guy. Might have to get some putty to fill a few holes in the plane, but, hey, it’s worth it.

  25. Houston/Cypress/Katy/Shtf says:

I was right and this is not good.. Look who is president.. Let’s see if he mentions this in the media..so soldiers are pointing AR’s in the faces of American Indians, and hunting down veteran insurgents at Keystone.. Now people are being forced to have their eyes scanned at air ports. What is wrong with this picture.? Could it be that the immigration ban was the excuse they needed to install the new tracking technology.

    HCKS.

LEO can do no harm were all behind the thin blue line comply don’t die crap Funny! how when it’s this it’s will not comply but it’s still LEO that you’d be doing that against.
    Hypocrites lol.

  30. Don’t you see? If we travel, they win by having our eye data. If we don’t travel, they’ve taken away our mobility. They always win.

  31. Alabamanative says:

They scan your eyes and then scan your passport for a match. How is a retinal scan matched to a passport? Am I missing something?

    • I think they are storing your scan on the way out, then matching it up with the saved file on the way back in. There’s no way it’s scanning a passport photo for retinal. Possibly facial recognition… but even that’s doubtful.

  32. “Americans are cheering it on with very little forethought about the consequences it could hold.”
Well… We all know what happens if we do Nothing. We’re being invaded and destroyed. We have to fight back. If it leads to authoritativeness against the citizens, then we’ll have to fight back against that too… until we have liberty for the citizens and protection from the invading force of illegals.
