The Reckoning: “All Evidence Points to US Economic Failure in 2014″

    The-Reckoning

Earlier this week economic strategist Marc Faber warned that some time in the next 12 months the U.S. stock market will experience a crash worse than the massive drop seen in 1987.

He’s not alone. Many contrarian economists seem to agree. And given the state of economic and geo-political affairs they could well be right, much to our detriment.

On the domestic front, the much touted economic recovery is in significant danger of being revealed for the illusion that it really is. Nationwide home sales, for example, have dropped off in record numbers in the last few months and a report released this morning indicates that mortgage originations are as bad today as they were just before the Lehman crisis of 2007. Couple that with a jobs market that is at best stagnating and at worst completely falling apart, and you can probably deduce that if there is any economic growth at all taking place it is about to come to a standstill.

Internationally, the world is fed up with The Fed and the U.S. government’s unabashed debt growth. China, Russia, Iran, India and a host of other countries are establishing trade relationships that are bypassing the U.S. dollar altogether, a move that will soon see the world’s reserve currency lose purchasing power and status. In anticipation of this imminent collapse gold is being hoarded by private and public entities from Berlin to Beijing in an effort to preserve wealth before the Tsunami hits.

In light of these developments, former Undersecretary of the Treasury Paul Craig Roberts suggests that there are only two possible outcomes given our dilemma – World War Or The End Of The Dollar – neither of which bodes well for global economic, financial, social and political stability.

This means a big drop in the demand for US dollars and a corresponding drop in the dollar’s exchange value.

As John Williams (shadowstats.com) has made clear, the US economy has not recovered from the downturn in 2008 and has weakened further. The vast majority of the US population is hard pressed from the lack of income growth for years. As the US is now an import-dependent economy, a drop in the dollar’s value will raise US prices and push living standards lower.

All evidence points to US economic failure in 2014, and that is the conclusion of John Williams’ April 9 report.

This year could also see the breakup of NATO and even the EU. Washington’s reckless coup in Ukraine and threat of sanctions against Russia have pushed its NATO puppet states onto dangerous ground. Washington misjudged the reaction in Ukraine to its overthrow of the elected democratic government and imposition of a stooge government.

Across many fronts, Washington is emerging in the world’s eye as duplicitous, untrustworthy, and totally corrupt.

This audacious recklessness comes on top of Washington’s overthrow of the Ukrainian government, the NSA spying scandal, Seymour Hersh’s investigative report that the Sarin gas attack in Syria was a false flag event arranged by NATO member Turkey in order to justify a US military attack on Syria, Washington’s forcing down Bolivian President Evo Morales’ presidential plane to be searched, Saddam Hussein’s “weapons of mass destruction,” the misuse of the Libyan no-fly resolution for military attack, and on and on. Essentially, Washington has so badly damaged other countries’ confidence in the judgment and integrity of the US government that the world has lost its belief in US leadership. Washington is reduced to threats and bribes and increasingly presents as a bully.

The self-inflicted hammer blows to Washington’s credibility have taken a toll.

China and Russia protested but accepted Libya’s destruction even though it was to their own detriment. But Iran became a red line. Washington was blocked, so Washington decided to cause major problems for Russia in Ukraine in order to distract Russia from Washington’s agenda elsewhere.

China has been uncertain about the trade-offs between its trade surpluses with the US and Washington’s growing encirclement of China with naval and air bases. China has come to the conclusion that China has the same enemy as Russia has–Washington.

One of two things is likely: Either the US dollar will be abandoned and collapse in value, thus ending Washington’s superpower status and Washington’s threat to world peace, or Washington will lead its puppets into military conflict with Russia and China. The outcome of such a war would be far more devastating than the collapse of the US dollar.

What’s coming in short order isn’t just a result of lackluster job growth, or consumer spending, or a degradation of America’s economy.

The leading developed nations of the world no longer trust the United States and America’s status as the “world’s only super power” is being challenged on all fronts.

According to cyclical theorist Martin Armstrong the cycles of change (political, economic, war) are all converging. This year will see a turning point in June of 2014, and some time in late 2015 the rug will be pulled out from under the global economy, leading to a series of events that may well destroy the world as we’ve come to know it in modern times.

We’re already seeing the prelude to this with civil unrest taking hold across the entire world (including Bunkersville, Nevada), and that trend will continue until the system finally buckles.

This is no plain modern event with civil unrest erupting because of an interconnected world. These are grassroots uprisings cross-fertilized perhaps from a world contagion yet they often have similarities – corrupt governments. Turkey, Ukraine, Thailand, Venezuela and Bosnia-Herzegovina are all middle-income democracies with elected leaders besieged by people angry at misgovernment, corruption and economic sclerosis. These days it is no longer just dictators who have something to fear from the crowd. This is the promise of Marxism that centralized planning and false promises are coming home and governments are too corrupt and incompetent to deliver what they have claimed for decades.

Communism is dead. The socialistic agendas that have lined the pockets of government and filled the coffers of banks is over. The national debts are on average composed of 70% interest payments not programs to help the poor as marketed. The debts that keep growing with no intent upon paying anyone back are draining the national productivity and turning the people into economic slaves. The standard of living has declined and it now takes two incomes to survive where one use to be just fine. Women won the right to work and lost the right to stay home.

The promises that you save for the future have collapsed into dust as interest rates have been driven lower making savings utterly worthless. There is no such thing as saving and living off your fixed income. The elderly are being driven back into the work force and the whole ideas that a generation believed in are vanishing before their eyes.

So it is no longer communists and dictators that are the targets. All governments are now the targets and when the economy turns down after 2015.75, the threat of civilization will be pulled apart by the self-interest of politicians clinging to power to the detriment of the people.

    Martin Armstrong Via Zero Hedge

There are terrifying events on the horizon. Most people haven’t a clue and won’t until it’s already too late to act.

    We best get ready.

              • Be informed says:

The outcome of a war with Russia and/or China is magnitudes more severe than the worst economic collapse. I don’t see how it would be possible, though I guess it is remotely, that a war with Russia and/o China could not go full scale nuclear. The mere fact that the nanosecond that any nuclear country’s air space is violated it is launch on warning of their nukes. No one is going to let their nuclear weapons sit ready to get hit before they can be used.

The destruction of the U.S doller means the end of the empire like Mac states. The banksters won’t allow this. The MAD mutual assured destruction philosophy just doesn’t apply anymore. It would if both sides had the weapons like back in the early 80′s. Thanks to START treaties that take away that deterrent, nuclear war is more likely than ever. The U.S. nuclear forces land based are that of the early 60′s now. Russia and China have tunneled out huge safe areas for their military and some civilians way underground. The U.S. has gotten rid of practically all civil defense. This makes the notion of winning a nuclear war against the u.S. that much more plausible to Russia and China.

The so called experts of Atomic Scientists have placed the Doomsday Clock at 5 minutes to Midnight. That is at Cold War levels. That is before what is happening in Russia right now. Most of the time the Doomsday Clock has been 7 minutes to Midnight or further away. These are extremely perilious times. Remember, war often starts with one of two stupid mistakes. We are approaching the 100 year anniversary of the start of WW1. I just can’t see why more people are not preparing, storing up even non rotational items like toilet paper and other non perishables.

                @ John Q. Public,
you were asking about the earthquake near Fukushima in the previous article. This was a deep earthquake, all natural and not a nuke test. When that fat Porky test a nuke over in North Korea its depth will be very shallow, likely under 1 kilometer deep. If Porky tests a hydrogen bomb, look for the magnitude to be over about 5.7 or so. There are many earthquakes in Oklahoma, and most of these are about 5 km deep, weird to see that 5 km depth so often. This is due to fracking. Looking at the depth of an earthquake can tell much about it. This is also true with volcanoes such as Yellowstone.

At collapsenet.com yesterday (today?) they had these news headlines:

“Putin warns Europe: no alternative…will out gas supplies.”

Also, Germany Vice Chancellor warns: no alternative to Russian gas”.

The people in the EU are already having a horrible time trying to survive after Austerity Measures (the IMF in cahoots with their government to steal all the peoples’ assets). So there is no way they will allow this to come about… EU government will have to back down, tell the US to go F– itself, fight their own battles, because the people in the EU just can’t stand any more austerity! So I’m hoping this whole thing will blow over, the US will be left alone and simply back down.

Agree: I do a lot of work with the Chinese: they are prepared and way ahead of the West. While we are whacking our whiddle sticks to porn and borrowing money on credit, they are building enormous bunkers and cities. Much of China is run by the Red Army and they are tough and battle ready.

They operate in the paradigm of the long-game but also in winnable nuclear war. They can take hits we could never take. Just one Western city nuked out of existence would be so psychologically devastating to the West, we would be done. Look at how people reacted to three buildings coming down in New York.

                  Dangerous times indeed…

Of course you can go back on this, and many other sites, to see the collapse was always “just around the corner”. 2007-2008 was bad but it didn’t collapse, just like 2001, and the Dot.Com bubble,Y2Kand even 1987 was pretty bad, but things are still rolling along. The poor fools here are going to die “waiting” for the collapse in their bunkers full of food and ammo, never really living, just existing in a perpetual state of fear. Sad souls all, but you got a lot of “thumbs down” because you tried to burst their ‘fear bubble’. I’ll get the same, but I don’t care. Or it could be like this. Russia and China ignores the USA and sells products and oil thru their own currency system. Thus, the dollar crashes. Then the USA will have to pay highly inflated food prices because many of our food systems will be exported for better currency. We will see unemployment probably in the 70% range if that happens–it is actually starting to happen for those eyes that can see….

actually- it bodes almost as poorly for a neighborhood when Dollar Stores start showing up- it means those companies view those as financially distressed neighborhoods, which is the prime market for them. Same goes for Pawn Shops and Paycheck Lending/Cashing businesses. That they’re opening in your area means your area is viewed as being on the cusp of failure, but not yet failed. One reason they may be able to continue kicking is the possibility of genuine growth.

The good vs. evil dichotomy ignores the possibility of surviving through growth. The internet and smart devices have enabled us to transcend doom as of late, because entirely new wealth is being created from nothing.

As long as their evil doesn’t prevent new capital and wealth from coming into existence that wasn’t there before, all is well.

It’s possible 3D printing and other emerging digital technology will allow us to continue to advance, to allow us to achieve mastery over matter itself, each of us able to print out what we need without the need to purchase from a factory or a mega-corporation.

There is also the possibility of another emerging new age of man. Perhaps a near future where asteroids are mined, and precious metals and currently scarce elements become as common as sand on the beach.

Or perhaps, human gill technology gets developed. Our grandchildren will be able to choose a life underwater and to start new lives in the unlimited underwater frontier land of the world’s oceans and lakes.

Not sure that they can, but I mentioned last year that SHTF would happen in 2015 and that the PTB would probably release some cash from the banking system for Main Street this spring. Most new debt has been car sales and school loans. Home sales have tanked. Buy a McMansion or two when the SLD hits!

I am expecting a major bank to announce massive layoffs in Chicago or the sale of their ancillary activities there. These plans were planned for November but given the decline in economic activity they are planning to do that now.

Europe is between a rock and a hard place; so while they will not give O’Bummer a Blank Check with respect to Russia, they need the USA to protect them from potential Russian aggression. So NATO is not going to dissolve, but strengthen: just like the dollar.

China is not in a position to challenge anyone economic or militarily; least of all US. And why should they? WE have transferred OUR wealth to them.

The dollar is the weapon of choice and the plan is to create economic problems in Russia, to weaken it. This will mean war eventually, but that is still years away.

Stansberry Research puts the SHTF date on JULY 1st, 2014 when the House of Representative foreign currency tax bill kicks in, causing the US dollar to collapse. US government is so far in debt it is reaching the point where there not enough income to pay the interest alone. Currently, the US is spending $200 million per hour X 24 hours X 365 days which it does not have. Debt extraneous to the $114 trilion unfunded liabilities of Medicaid, Medicare, SS, & SSI is $20 trillion with $10 trillion of that evolving during the O’Bama presidency. If interest rates rise to 6% the combined cost to cover this debt alone is $43.6 trillion FED is printing $65 billion in fiat paper currency ever month to keep this mess afloat. 31 states are $55 billion short in tax reveue to cover their bills. Purchasing worth of a US Dollar is down 20% since 2003, with a 9% lower median income than in 1999. The gist of all these numbers…We are totally f*cked! Fill the food storage room and your gun locker. The end is near.

      • I agree that we aren’t going to wake up this summer one morning and the whole system has fallen out from under us and gone “Patriots” (See James Rawles books). Of course, there is always that possibility, but I’d suggest it is unlikely in the near-term.

However, I do believe the events that will eventually lead to such an outcome have already been set into motion. Not trying to sound like a pessimist here, but I don’t think the genie can be put back into the bottle at this point. Collapse is inevitable at this point.

Reading the detailed cyclical analysis put forth by Martin Armstrong in his latest ‘Cycles of War’ (2013) report, all of the events he outlined seem to be taking shape.. In fact, he specifically mentioned Russia and the Ukraine months before the revolution took place there.

Moreover, he’s consistently been accurate in his forecasts including specific examples like stock markets would continue to rise (predicted back in 2009/2010), gold would drop from $1900 highs, and the capital restrictions being put into place in the US and globally… this is stuff he specifically covered since 2008… his accuracy has been pretty amazing if you ask me.

And pretty dawg-on scary, considering his next set of forecasts (which he bases on everything from economic to geo-political analysis and global capital flows) indicate that the coming two years will be wrought with calamity surrounding all global affairs.

We all know something is afoot. It’s a matter of time now.

The inflation from FED money printing has been exported to the rest of the world. This year I think it will be coming home big time. Hope everyone is ready to pay a lot more for everything.

Last post for a while, as stated before I’m heading to Bunkerville. Maybe Mrs. Maddog will update? Although I have the same responsibilities as any other husband and father I believe there comes times one needs to sacrifice as I did before serving in the military. A supportive wife makes the decision much easier I’m sure. I am not looking for a fight and pray one does not happen however this situation is exactly what I any so many other have complained about and there is no way I will not support Mr.Bundy and the constitution. One of the militia spokesman said this “is the time people need to come together and stand against tyranny in numbers” and the Oathkeepers have requested all members’ participation. The reason is simple, if we fail to show in significant numbers I believe the movement to restore our country will fail right here right now in Nevada. Our cause will be seen as nothing more than a bunch of armchair patriots in the long long complaint line of sheeple. I am a veteran, an Oathkeeper and most of all an American with God given rights that better men than me have fought and died to protect for me and mine. It is time to shut up and put up for posterity or forever be happy in your role as sheep. I see a lot of bullshit posted of excuses and others not agreeing with the excuses and coming up with other excuses they think have more weight and makes them more justified in standing down. Not sure if there is a limit to how far I would travel or how much I would spend to get to Bunkerville, however I do know this was not in my budget this year but I found a way to make it happen. Will be riding down with a fellow patriot I was put in contact with last night and several of the SHTFplan website posters have donated money. So it does appear God makes the right things happen when you put in a little effort. I guess I’ll end with this, if you have means to participate I pray you do the right thing and go or give all you can to those that are. If you don’t and decide to punt again and freedom goes down due to a lack of participation fighting for it, then you will have earned your servitude and be happy in it.

        To Ron@2am:

To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine.. and those who don’t.

As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria. In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) – bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.
However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.
Remember: Water = Poop, Wine = Health
Therefore, it’s better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of shit .

When I got back I found that those dang mice had taken every piece of those pellets and had put them in my drawer in the kitchen downstairs that I had my silverware in. WTF! Is the US or the World Coming to an End? — Paul Craig Roberts

        http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2014/04/09/us-world-coming-end-paul-craig-roberts/

“2014 is shaping up as a year of reckoning for the United States.

Two pressures are building on the US dollar. One pressure comes from the Federal Reserve’s declining ability to rig the price of gold as Western gold supplies shrivel and market knowledge of the Fed’s illegal price rigging spreads. The evidence of massive amounts of naked shorts being dumped into the paper gold futures market at times of day when trading is thin is unequivocal. It has become obvious that the price of gold is being rigged in the futures market in order to protect the dollar’s value from QE.

The other pressure arises from the Obama regime’s foolish threats of sanctions on Russia. Other countries are no longer willing to tolerate Washington’s abuse of the world dollar standard. Washington uses the dollar-based international payments system to inflict damage on the economies of countries that resist Washington’s political hegemony.

Russia and China have had enough. As I have reported and as Peter Koenig reports here http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article38165.htm Russia and China are disconnecting their international trade from the dollar. Henceforth, Russia will conduct its trade, including the sale of oil and natural gas to Europe, in rubles and in the currencies of its BRICS partners.”

we are getting red flag after red flag after red flag

The US economy as well as the world economy is collapsing as we speak. The petro dollar is losing its grip. We citizens of the US are losing our Constitutional rights. Our government is corrupt. We are facing hyperinflation. We are headed for very difficult times. These are already difficult times for millions.

Do a little homework on it — you’ll see how it really works. My point is this — if I ‘predict’ a solar eclipse without knowing the next time or date it’s supposed to occur, and I keep repeating it to anybody that will listen, sooner or later, I’ll be right. A solar eclipse will happen. And then I can take credit for it, right?

      OT just for you Ppod:

Proposed Amendments for upcoming Constitutional Convention

      1. Justice Amendment:
      a. All judges must be elected. No judges may be appointed. For the purpose of this amendment, Justices are judges, and anyone who makes a legal decision or sets a legal precedent is a judge.

      b. Only elected officials may make policy decisions. All policy decisions must be recorded in print and annotated with the name of the person making the decision.

      c. Any Government organization may have no more lawyers, legal clerks, or legal researchers working on a case than their opponents actually have (not just assigned or representing them) available. If someone can’t afford a lawyer, the government organization can’t use one either.

      d. This amendment is retroactive.

      2. Fairness Amendment: Government officers should be held to AT LEAST the same standards as citizens.

      a. “Ignorance of the law is no excuse” is entirely applicable to all law enforcement officers (LEOS) and officers of the court in every case.

      b. LEOS lying to citizens will be handled, and punished, exactly the same, or more harshly, as citizens lying to LEOS.

      c. Citizens carrying and using weapons have at least the same rights as LEOS, if not more.

      d. LEOS that break the law lose all their police powers from that point on.

      e. This amendment is retroactive.

      3. Revenue Amendment: Repeal 16th amendment entirely and abolish the Internal Revenue Service. Prohibit a central bank, Apply the national debt to the Federal Reserve. Only gold or silver may be used as money. The federal budget may spend no more than 10% of the national budget. The federal Government may not tax any individual citizen more than 10% of his or her income. The total tax burden from all levels of government combined may total no more than 15%. Corporations are not citizens; they are not individuals. A minimum of 50% of the budget must be spent on national defense.

      4. Extend the 22nd amendment (term limits) to apply a limit of two terms to all elected officials at the federal level.

1a. Elected judges for life? Guess what kind of judges we’ll get. Liberal, leftist, activists. Key on Obama victory in 2008 and 2012 if you don’t think so.

1b. Does this mean all 535 elected Congressmen get to make policy decisions? I’m not so sure this is going to fix anything. Which Congressman is going to trump the other when they don’t agree? The one who signed the paper first?

1c. Let’s decide cases on the merits, not on how many lawyers each side has. Total non-issue. Competent counsel is competent counsel, blaming things on numbers is not a compelling legal argument.

1d. Retroactive. OK, every legal decision made by an appointed judge or where the USA had more lawyers than the accused is now overturned. How far back to you want to go? I don’t think you thought this one out too well.

2a. I’m all in favor of this.

2b. 2b is in violation of 2a. If it’s the same standard, it’s the same standard, not harsher.

2c. You need to expand on that. LEOs don’t carry a gun because they have the right to do so, they carry them as an obligation, part of their employment.

2d. Do the LEOs lose their authority the instant they break the law, or after a court says they have? Who gets to decide that, and when. “Your Honor, when I was arrested, my rights were violated. Therefore, you must dismiss this case against me and pay me damages.” We already have a lot of that going on. Want to add to it?

2e. Refer to 1d, above. What does this mean?

        3. I’m all for it.

        4. All for it.

To say that these educated predictions are getting old is an understatement, this isn’t to say I’m not concerned with the obvious condition of how truly bad our economy is, or how world events continue to pile up against us. It seems we’re all looking for a trigger point that will give us the best chance of being optimally prepared, in a situation that at best will be total chaos and at worst controlled chaos.

Among other things the book spells out how Russia and China are waiting and watching The West’s economies explode and then they see themselves fighting/winning a nuclear war with us in 8-15 years from now.

Lastly will be the splitting up of what is left of North America into small countries controlled by the SCO.

And of course John Williams from Shadowstats has said that there will be panic selling of the dollar by the end of the second quarter of this year. More and more people are seeing the end of the petrodollar system and the death of the dollar. Not everyone thinks this will lead to a complete economic collapse but I do. I expect the dollar to die. 23. For all those who say they’ve been hearing for years about economic collapse, war, etc., and it hasn’t happened yet, I offer my most significant insight from a long lifetime of reading history: “History happens in slow-motion”. Events in the past which seem to have unfolded quickly when viewed in the rearview mirror, actually occurred very slowly, taking place in a series of steps stretched out over years.

Look at America’s (first) revolution; it FEELS two centuries after-the-fact like the British pissed us off, a few days later we declared independence, we skirmished a few times and then we wrote our new constitution. In reality this all took place over DECADES.

It took the Roman Empire 300 years to collapse, and for the Roman citizens living through that period it probably always felt like they’d hit a little bump in the road and things would get back to normal soon. There are major historical turning points like the 9/11 false flag attack which for people who lived through them were sudden events after which life forever changed. But in a generation 9/11 will be seen as one part of a broader criminal conspiracy to take over the USA starting with the JFK assassination, (a surprising number of the same names show up in both events). In a few centuries historians may see the beginning of the conspiracy and decline as not dating from 9/11/01, or 11/22/63, but the passage of the Federal Reserve Act in 1913, putting us already over 100 years into our downfall as a nation.

For a longer and more insightful essay on the phenomenon of history-in-slow-motion, I recommend John Michael Greer’s “The Long Road Down” http://www.oilcrisis.com/whattodo/decline.htm

        Excellent post Tom.

Yes….in most cases, SHTF was a process…not an event. Another example is Germany post WWI. From the signing of the Treaty of Versailles to Hitler’s rise to power and then WWII, took almost 20 years.

Nevertheless, there were events along the way that were SHTF situations for the people who lived through that time period.

And we are experiencing the same thing here. The foundation for ours began in 1913 with the Federal Reserve Act and the implementation of the Federal Income Tax.

But what does tend to happen is that the process is gradual, and there is some precipitating event that appears to speed up the process. The process was there all along, but because of the principle of the exponential function, it went unnoticed…or was simply dismissed. And it doesn’t help when the majority of the population, including leadership, has normalcy bias. And it really doesn’t help when the “leadership” is actually encouraging the collapse.

There’s a quote by Earnest Hemmingway that I like to post whenever this issue is discussed. He was once asked how he went bankrupt. His answer was, “Slowly, then all at once.”

BLOCKBUSTER: Straight from a rancher’s mouth
      Permalink
Immediate family friend of the Bundy’s tells it all in a mail sent to Jimstonefreelance.com
This is the jackpot of details you have never seen anywhere else, and if you did, they originated here, spread it around, ARCHIVE AND POST! (please link back to here when posting elsewhere)

      A Rancher TELLS ALL:

      B Hunt wrote:

I live in SW Utah. I grew up on a ranch less than 100 miles from the Bundy’s ranch. My father knows Cliven Bundy. I know Cliven’s son Ryan. This is not a hoax, it is an action of force by the BLM.

The BLM was going to sell the cattle at one of the smallest cattle markets in Utah. No cattle markets in Nevada would take the cattle without a properly signed brand inspection (which the BLM cannot obtain without Cliven Bundy’s signature). The BLM paid the owner of the Utah cattle market $300,000 to do the sale (‘R’ Livestock Connection in Monroe, Utah, owned by one Scott G. Robbins, according to the Utah Business Entity Search). Utah Governor Herbert stepped in and forbid them from bringing the cattle into Utah without the legally required health and brand inspections (which again, require Bundy’s signature) and that no feral cattle are allowed to be imported at all (per Utah statute). Because Bundy claims ownership over maybe 350-500 head of branded cattle, the other 500-700 estimated head of cattle would all be considered feral. BLM officially backed off, but we suspect they are still secretly shipping them through Utah without any permission to do so, to “private” buyers in Colorado. The contract cowboys that the BLM hired to do the roundup are from Sampson Livestock in Meadow, Utah (traitors one and all).

From what I understand, Cliven Bundy owns both the Water Rights and Grazing Rights to all of the land where his cattle run. If Bundy failed to use them, the Grazing Rights would revert to the BLM and would be retired, while the Water Rights would revert to the State of Nevada, likely to be sold to the highest bidder (which would probably be a bidding war between mineral companies that are behind this action with the BLM and the City of Las Vegas which is thirsty for water and has had multiple attempts to buy water–through eminent domain from Utah farmers and ranchers–from Utah, which were all blocked by the Utah Legislature and Utah Governor Herbert). Chances are, the BLM has already filed a claim on the water rights so that they can sell to the highest bidder (instead of the state) and are trying to get the cattle off to show that Bundy cannot use the water beneficially (much like what the US Forest Service and BLM both tried to do to Wayne Hage).

Now, for Cliven Bundy, he’s not fighting this for his cattle or his own livelihood. He recognizes that he will probably die before this fight is over. He has said multiple times that he is fighting this to wake people up about the tyranny of the Federal Government and also to help wake up the western states about getting the rights to their own land back from the federal government, which has repeatedly shut down ranchers and closed off land. (MO = 1st, get all the ranchers, farmers, Native Americans, and foresters that use the land for positive, sustainable production off of the land; 2nd, grab up all the resources; 3rd, close off the lands to public access including camping, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, boating, shooting, etc; 4th, sell off the resources to the highest bidder regardless of what that will do to the land, the local environment, or the economy; 5th, collect royalties on the resources in perpetuity; 6th, reduce and eliminate all SLS and PILT payments to the states, impoverishing them beyond belief.)

Anyway, thanks for posting about this. It is important for us to be able to raise the appropriate resistance.

      My Response:
Thank you for sending your valuable insight. This contained the details we were all missing.

From this we can now firmly conclude:

      1. The BLM’s actions are not only flatly illegal, they are unlawful, and not only unlawful, they are so unlawful that it took bribing someone with a $300,000 payoff to get them to accept stolen cattle from a Government agency. I do not think that could be topped ANYWHERE else in the world, other than with something like a Mexican drug cartel.

So we have a clear cut case of unlawful and prosecutable actions by the BLM in this case.

      2. The real goal is to shut down public access to these lands. Obviously Cliven Bundy was not a jerk, and he let people go back there to explore. I myself have done a LOT of back country exploring, and noticed in the early 2000′s that they closed down all the back roads about a half mile before the destination they used to go to to discourage people from exploring the wilderness. Rather than drive the whole way, you had to get out and walk a considerable distance to scenes such as Swazy’s leap, Paul Bunyans Wood Pile, and practically anywhere else you would want to go while out 4 Wheeling. And in the desert sun, that long of a walk was usually tough to do. This resulted in these types of locations no longer being visited, which effectively equaled a shut down.

      3. The motives are for profit. Rather than manage the lands responsibly, the BLM is stealing it from it’s rightful holders via corrupt actions and legal loop holes, and selling it off to corporate interests. This is cold hard proof that America is not a democracy, or more importantly a Republic, it is in fact a facist dictatorship where corruption rules and rights, freedom and honor are irrelevant.

The BLM killed hundreds of desert tortoises on purpose
They say they had to kill them because they did not have the funds to care for them. Here are two really good solutions to that “problem.” 1. Just take them out in the desert and turn them loose. -OR- 2. They could have taken the three million dollars they said the Bundy raid will cost them, CALLED OFF THE RAID, and SAVED THE TURTLES with that three million. If they had three million to destroy Bundy, they had it for the turtles as well but did not use it for that because tyranny comes first.

Steeped in arrogance and incompetence, once again a Federal agency fails to see the obvious. Or perhaps they do see it but they could care less about nature and instead operate as the enforcement arm of a band of high ranking thugs.

more likely death by a thousand cuts
that’s usually the way a reserve currency dies

Getting ready to plant Kennebec white potatoes along with my usual rows of Red Pontiacs. Anyone here plant the Kennebec? How do they fare during storage? Appreciate any advice or experience in growing and the storage. I mostly grow the Pontiacs but thought I’d add something different. I’m also gonna try the Doc Martin lima pole beans this year. The only way I eat limas is dried in soup. My wife really like them in bowls with butter (yuk).

Funny… I just told the wife that we should plant a bunch of potato hills and I’ll build a root cellar this year. We have a lot of potato farms around me here in MI and I’m not sure what variety they grow.
I was just going to let some grocery store potatos go and then plant the eyes.

      • I plant Pontiacs as a main crop but I do put in some Kennys…theyre a fine white potatoe and they keep as well as Pontiacs…only thing Ive noticed is they are sensitive to sunlight and turn green easier than the reds…other than that theyre great… :)

So How many militia members, expressed in real verifiable numbers have arrived at the Bundy ranch?

      • JayJay says:

The Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA) have traveled to Nevada to stand with the Bundy family. Additionally, the Oathkeepers have done the same. An estimated 5,000 militia types from Western states have also made their way to the Bundy property as well.

Sheriff Mack and CSPOA are responding to the storm brewing between Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and the BLM. They have responded by stating that the all-too-frequent bullying of individual citizens by various militarized Federal agencies have usurped the Constitution and they have vowed that the forces of tyranny can be stopped. In fact, as CSPOA claims, it’s an epidemic that “must be stopped”.

I have learned that Sheriff Mack is leaving early Saturday morning for an emergency trip to Bunkerville, Nevada, along with other members of the CSPOA posse to stand with the Bundy’s and find a peaceful resolution to this conflict (i.e., the feds going home). The name is “Bunkerville”, is both ironic and appropriately named, don’t you think?

(I also read on one site, the cell towers are out of commission–surprised???) An end to cell conversation, updates, and videos??

yes I wonder how many stupid gullible idiots have come looking for trouble. Bundy is a deadbeat. The kicker is according to his daughters Bundy was paying the grazing fees. Then he thought he found a loophole (excuse) and quit paying the fees. Do you really believe Bundy or anyone else should benefit from grazing the public land for free?

Maybe we should ask a dog about the impending doom???

Have you ever heard that a dog ‘knows’ when an earthquake is about to hit?

Have you ever heard that a dog can ‘sense’ when a tornado is stirring up, even twenty miles away?

Do you remember hearing that, before the December tsunami struck Southeast Asia, dogs started running frantically away from the seashore, at breakneck speed?

Do you know that dogs can detect cancer and other serious illnesses and danger of fire?

Somehow they always know when they can ‘go for a ride’ before you even ask and how do those dogs and cats get home from hundreds of miles away?

I’m a firm believer that animals – and especially dogs – have keen insights into the Truth.

And you can’t tell me that dogs can’t sense a potentially terrible disaster well in advance.

Simply said, a good ol’ hound dog just KNOWS when something isn’t right . . when impending doom is upon us . . .

    36. Once the dollar lost it’s “gold” backing and became “fiat”, then, at that moment in time, “all evidence pointed, to an eventual, US Economic Failure”. Personally, I’m surprised it hasn’t come to an end, by now. But since “they” control everything, they’ve been able to print their way out of the abyss, thus far. If our system wasn’t so corrupt, the end would have come some time ago, i.e. couldn’t have manipulated across the board to keep it afloat, i.e. robbing Peter to pay Paul. Then again, if our system wasn’t corrupt, we’d still have the dollar backed by gold. Then again, if humans could be trusted, we wouldn’t need to back up the dollar with gold.

Anyway, whether it be this year, next year, or 2020, a major currency change in America, will indeed, be in the offering. Doesn’t mean there has to be a “collapse” though.

Sometimes, I think there is so much debt in America, that those in debt are hoping and praying for some form of collapse, so they, the debtors, can get out of their obligation. Sadly, if there is a collapse, debtors will probably first lose all their possessions followed by a possible indefinite stay at debtors prison, to “work” it off.

        • It may be premature, at this point in time WD, but soon, very soon, they, those running the show, will have the TECHNOLOGICALLY advanced weaponry to pay visits to debtors homes, where the “collector” won’t be concerned with what’s behind the door he/she/it is about to kick down. The dweller, and family, will be immobilized from a distance, and then, in they will march, removing all living, and previously living creatures, big and small, carting them away to either enter a work gulag, or, to enter the end of the line, line. Then, everything inside that home, including home, property/minerals and water, will be theirs.

That day is coming if we, relatively free patriots, don’t soon put an end to their game plan. Each day that goes by gives them more and us, less, to work with (except, maybe in terms of “numbers” of humans waking up). It’s a race, right now, and our trajectory presently leaves us a distant second, i.e. last. It’s all a matter of how many wake up in time.

The beauty of it all is, once the stock boys yell “timberrr”, it’s too late for most Americans. The big boys have a huge head start on moving their money to the sidelines. Then anyone left in the market gets hosed again. Then the boys come back into the fray when the coast is clear. We lose our asses, and they double their money. Good luck to the US and anyone that is the stock market for “the long haul”.

I started reading, researching watch daily since, realized we me<— et al. might be in some trouble financially. Here is the problem, I'm not an economist, smart maybe. But the economists seem wrong also. What now? The sensible thing would be prep/save, ok sure been at it since. Just seems like what is coming is going to be rough is all I'm saying. Feels terribly uncomfortable. For all the information out there now there's too much can't sort truth from fake. Uncertainty sucks, and also it sucks that all the glossy eyed's don't believe a word. Thanks

The economists are always wrong. No one can predict or manage a modern econonomic system consisting of hundreds of millions of people and trillions of business transactions. It’s not possible.

All us mere mortals can do is prepare for inflation, more than we now see, and for the proverbial seven lean years. Those are cycles we know will happen, but not when.

Like you say, the sensible thing is to prep and save, and it’s going to be rough, when it does happen.

Back in the 1800,s many Greedy ranchers opposed the Homestead act. So they like bundy today simply decided to not recognize the Federal goverments authority. the hired thugs & killers to harass and drive the homesteaders & sheep men away. The most famous of these was a man Named Tom Horn. They also had their Straw Men file on the best 160 acre parcels mostly those that had water so nobody but them could graze the land. There where numerious range wars where So called cattlemens associations hired enforcers and accused homesteaders of rustling and lynched them without trials. My prediction is by the time this Is over Bundys cattle will not be grazing the range land for free. Bundy and some others will serve time in prison. The grazing rights need to be sold at public auction to the highest bidder on a yearly basis. As bad a we perceive the federal government to be. The fact is without the fed to keep them in check State & local goverments would be much worse. Look a all the Uncounstitional gun laws many states & citys enacted that where struck down by the supreme court. Granted the Supreme court got it wrong when they upheld the Obama Health Care. Part of the reason is the Justices Appointed where put in place by the liberal politicians that where elected. and they are elected because they keep their promise of bringing money from the public coffers back to those who voted for them. Our Republic Has turned into a Mob Rule Democracy.

Anyone else getting tired of hearing “the end is near”? Since 2008 I’ve missed out on living life because I’m so paranoid. NO MORE! Ignorance is bliss and makes for a happier life. Avoided spending money and going on vacations with family. Never going to get that time of life back. Spent $100k on gold/silver, its lost 50% since then. If I would have kept it in the bank I would still have $100k. Could have bought a house in 2010, rented instead, missed that opportunity. Now prices are going back up. Spent thousands on food storage that I’ve never used. Sold the BMW to drive a 10 year old truck. My income has increased every year since 2008, certainly doesn’t feel like things are getting worse. Done wasting my time/money/energy dwelling on “economic collapse”. Living life like anytime the collapse could happen is no way to live. I regret “waking-up” and not being a sheep. My life is not any better because of it. My next 5 years will not be wasted like the previous 5. Rant over…

    45. Substantive evidence that this is nothing more than fearmongering BS designed to separate gullible sheeple from their money:

I will wager up to $500.00 that none of this happens with the following caveat. Clearly measurable metrics must be spelled out in measurable terms: “next 12 months the U.S. stock market will experience a crash worse” is subject to weasle words and slimy reasoning. “the rug wu=ill be pulled out” is a phrase without meaning, thugh its intent is to separage sheeple from their money. But a statement that “All three markets will drop by at least 30% within a span of 90 days is measurable.

So give me some metrics and the bet is on. dpaladin at ix dot netcom dot com. look up orwells boot #1 on all search engines after paid links. I put my money where my mouth is.
