“The payback for our excesses is certain to come. Massively increasing debt and monetary inflation can slow the crash and change some government statistics, encouraging the optimists. But real job growth and the return to prosperity will remain elusive.”

Here’s one elected representative that is not afraid to tell the American people the truth about the state of our Republic.

Congressman Paul discusses not just the economy, but the demise of the US dollar and the subsequent political and social fall-out that will result.

Here we have a well respected Congressman that has just turned on the sirens. The system as we know it today, according to Mr. Paul, is on the brink of collapse and threatens the very foundations of the Republic and individual liberty.

To quote Mr. Paul, “these are dangerous times, indeed.”

The entire speech is a must-watch for anyone who really wants to know where we are headed.

  4. Our freedoms, our way of life, and our Great Country is on the chopping block. But, let’s face it, consumerism is the American people’s drug of choice. We are all junkies. All we think about is what to buy next, keeping up with the neighbors, and continuing to live the pampered lifestyle we have grown accustomed to. It makes me so incredibly angry that our fellow Americans refuse to see what is happening to our Nation. As Ron Paul mentioned, if these adjustments were “improvised-even suddenly and dramatically-the adjustment, though significant and to a degree somewhat painful, would be much shorter and of minor consequence compared to the chaos and poverty that will result if we refuse to change our gluttonous appetite for a free lunch.”

The consumerism junkies would rather get one last fix than get the real help that is so desperately needed. This is not a promising scenario in my opinion, and only drives me to prepare more for what may come.

Perhaps Ben Franklin was right, “Anyone who would trade freedom for security, deserves neither.”

history will look upon Ron paul and his son as the last men with integrity that warned the former empire America of its bloody collapse into Uncivil war and a fifth rate nations. Ron paul did the best he could but our citizens will not listen until its too late and the chaos and panic that will come will haunt the world of how the mighty have fallen. The republic is dying and we need to save from the unspeakable horrors that will come to America

he’s absolutely right, of course. How do you think OBAMA is going to “double exports” over the next five years? The only thing we create and export is DEBT, so expect the deficeit to skyrocket beyond your wildest imaginations.

    Well said, everyone.

It will be interesting to see how we look back on him 20 or 30 years from now.

As I’ve said before, when I listen to him, I can’t help but think of Cassandra from Greek mythology.

  10. 101 reasons to support Ron Paul
1.Paul’s stance on foreign policy is one of consistent nonintervention which avoids war of aggression and entangling alliances with other nations.

    2. Paul advocates bringing troops home from U.S. military bases in Korea, Japan, and Europe, among others.

    3. Ron Paul proposes that the U.S. stop sending massive, unaccountable foreign aid.

    4. Paul was the only 2008 Republican presidential candidate to have objected to and voted against the Iraq War Resolution and continues to oppose U.S. presence in Iraq, charging the government with using the War on Terror to curtail civil liberties.

    5. He believes a just declaration of war after the September 11, 2001, attacks should have been directed against the actual terrorists, Al-Qaeda, rather than against Iraq, which has not been linked to the attacks.

    6. In 2003, Paul said that when America seeks war, it must be sought only to protect citizens, it must be declared by the U.S. Congress, and it must be concluded when the victory is complete as previously planned, which would allow all resources to be dedicated to victory.

    7. During Israel’s 2009 war on the Gaza Strip, Paul addressed Congress to voice his staunch opposition to the House’s proposed resolution supporting Israel’s actions. He stated: “Madame Speaker, I strongly oppose H. Res. 34, which was rushed to the floor with almost no prior notice and without consideration by the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The resolution clearly takes one side in a conflict that has nothing to do with the United States or US interests. I am concerned that the weapons currently being used by Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza are made in America and paid for by American taxpayers.”

    8. Paul rejects the “dangerous military confrontation approaching with Iran and supported by many in leadership on both sides of the aisle.” He claims the current circumstances with Iran mirror those under which the Iraq War began, and has urged Congress not to authorize war with Iran.

    9. In 2000, Paul voted to end trade restrictions on Cuba.

    10. Paul advocates withdrawing U.S. participation and funding from organizations he believes override American sovereignty, such as the United Nations, the International Criminal Court, the Law of the Sea Treaty, the WTO, NATO, and the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America.

Ron Paul has the substance.. no doubt in my mind…but I hate to say it, his message needs to be carried by someone else more “likeable” —it KILLS me to say that–but our citizenry has been so “dumbed’ down that they elect who they “LIKE”  not who has the best message..(Obama!!!!) unfortunately Ron Paul, as great as he is, is unelectable for the executive office….someone else needs to step up with his message.. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to speak   God bless

RP is actually coming under fire here in Texas. He is facing three “tea party” challengers, which is funny, because RP is basically the Godfather of the Tea Party movement, which, it seems, has been hijacked by the Republican party.

I am not trying to  attack republicans here, but as I have said before, 99% of republicans talk a big conservative/libertarian game but never actually deliver on their promises. As big a sham as the democrats, in my opinion.

  15. Rick Blaine says:

    Interesting, Mac.

Yeah, the Tea Party thing is getting warped into a “pro-Republicans, Democrats suck” party…which is BS because the Elephants and Donkeys is D.C. both suck.

…and you are absolutely right- Ron Paul’s more libertarian sort of views is what kicked it off…

The message is getting skewed…at least by the media.

…and for the love of god, although I don’t have that much of a problem with her, Sarah Palin is NOT the leader.

There IS NO LEADER yet…and I mean that literally, as I think the idea behind thing, at least for the time being, is more along the lines of getting every corrupt, taxpayer-gauging, lying thief out of our nation’s capitol - which would leave NO MORE than six members total from both the Legislative and Executive branches of the Federal government – and start fresh from there.
