Report: It’s YOUR Fault: Fed Says Americans Who “Hoard Money” Are To Blame For Poor Economy

    hoarding-money

Despite arguments to the contrary from the Obama administration, mounting evidence suggests that the U.S. economy is rapidly falling back into negative growth territory. More Americans are out of the workforce than ever before, median household incomes are at levels not seen since 1967, and consumer spending is coming to a veritable standstill. The crisis is apparently so significant that a Federal Reserve governor recently said U.S. policymakers are crafting regulations that will force bank depositors to cover any losses should their financial institutions fail.

The question that many are asking is, how did this happen? How, after six years of recovery efforts and trillions of dollars printed, is it possible that the economy is not booming again?

This week the Federal Reserve published a report that claims to have figured it out and it turns out that the renewed economic downturn has nothing to do with foreign outsourcing, high taxation, increased health care costs for business or rising consumer prices for food and energy.

No, according to the Fed it is your fault. Apparently, you are not spending enough money. In order for the economy to recover you need to stop hoarding cash now and get out there and start buying more homes, cars, vacations, and electronics. Otherwise, you’ll only have yourself to blame when the system comes unhinged.

From the St. Louis Federal Reserve:

The issue has to do with the velocity of money, which has never been constant, as can be seen in the figure below . If for some reason the money velocity declines rapidly during an expansionary monetary policy period, it can offset the increase in money supply and even lead to deflation instead of inflation.

During the first and second quarters of 2014, the velocity of the monetary base2 was at 4.4, its slowest pace on record. This means that every dollar in the monetary base was spent only 4.4 times in the economy during the past year, down from 17.2 just prior to the recession. This implies that the unprecedented monetary base increase driven by the Fed’s large money injections through its large-scale asset purchase programs has failed to cause at least a one-for-one proportional increase in nominal GDP. Thus, it is precisely the sharp decline in velocity that has offset the sharp increase in money supply, leading to the almost no change in nominal GDP

So why did the monetary base increase not cause a proportionate increase in either the general price level or GDP?

The answer lies in the private sector’s dramatic increase in their willingness to hoard money instead of spend it. Such an unprecedented increase in money demand has slowed down the velocity of money

Top tier economists, it seems, are unable grasp why consumers have decided to hoard – in other words, save – their money even though the central bank is engaged in an unprecedented monetary expansion.

The answer is simple, really, and you don’t need to look at detailed government charts and statistics to figure it out.

American consumers have been absolutely pummeled over the last decade.

We are losing so many jobs that newly created minimum wage jobs touted by the Obama administration aren’t even making a dent.

Moreover, the price of food, electricity, gas and other essentials have risen so sharply that we’re paying nearly double for those items today than we did a decade ago.

And, as recently noted by The Economic Collapse Blog, over 77 million Americans currently have debt collection accounts and 25% of Americans have absolutely no emergency cash whatsoever.

It’s not so much that Americans are “hoarding” money, a phrase that suggests greedy people all over the country are stacking piles of cash under their mattresses. It’s that most Americans don’t have any money left to spend.

The Daily Bell says that the Federal Reserve and the U.S. government are now creating a new narrative to be spewed by their mainstream media propaganda arms, wherein the blame for this will fall squarely on the American people:

Sometimes Federal Reserve white papers attract attention and this one does because of the term “hoarding money.” This is a startling phrase and – who knows – perhaps it marks the beginning of a new meme.

Certainly the word “hoarding” is a popular one with government officials. When governments are uncomfortable with the actions of citizens for whatever reason, the term “hoarding” is often applied to stigmatize certain behaviors and encourage others.

This isn’t the first time government officials and their quasi-government counterparts have targeted “hoarders” as evil doers. They have done it before and the evidence suggests they are going to do it again as soon as the right crisis takes hold.

In 2012 President Obama signed a an Executive Doomsday Order that was designed specifically to target “hoarders” during a national emergency:

While millions of people have been preparing for the possibility of a catastrophic event by relocating to rural homesteads or farms, as well as stockpiling food, water, personal defense armaments and other essential supplies with the intention of utilizing these preparations if the worst happens, the latest executive order signed by President Obama on March 16, 2012 makes clear that in the event of a nationally deemed emergency all of these resources will fall under the authority of the United States government.

The signing of the National Defense Resources Preparedness executive order grants the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Labor, the Department of Defense and other agencies complete control of all US resources, including the ability to seize, confiscate or re-delegate resources, materials, services, and facilities as deemed necessary or appropriate to promote the national defense as delegated by the following agencies

But what is hoarding? According to David Spero of Code Green Prep, it’s whatever they say it is. Right now, tens of millions of Americans are unable to put food on the table or pay their most basic expenses, yet the Federal Reserve claims that we’re hoarding money. In an emergency, they’ll make similar claims.

Hoarding of Just About Anything Can Be Banned

These definitions are written in to the 1950 War and National Defense Defense (sic) Production Act, and so let’s see what the act itself has to say for itself.

Go directly to section 2072.  That’s the key part from our perspective.

§2072. Hoarding of designated scarce materials

In order to prevent hoarding, no person shall accumulate (1) in excess of the reasonable demands of business, personal, or home consumption, or (2) for the purpose of resale at prices in excess of prevailing market prices, materials which have been designated by the President asscarce materials or materials the supply of which would be threatened by such accumulation. The President shall order published in the Federal Register, and in such other manner as he may deem appropriate, every designation of materials the accumulation of which is unlawful and any withdrawal of such designation.

So the President can simply say that anything more than (for example) a week’s supply of food (and all the other things listed) is an amount ‘in excess of the reasonable demands of personal consumption’ and then order the Army to impound everything you have in excess of that amount.

Now, as we face a crisis in America on a scale never before seen, the government is attempting to change the story. In the end, when the worst of it hits and people start rioting in the streets because they can’t afford food or shelter, they’ll turn the blame on the “hoarders” who have selfishly saved cash and precious metals, stored long-term foods for an emergency, and prepared to deal with the very situation the politicians, central bankers and business elite have created.

Once the meme is pushed in earnest across the media networks, it will only be a matter of time before the crowds turn their attention to those greedy hoarders who ’caused this crisis in the first place.’

Those who hoard resources illegally will have their supplies seized and will likely be detained for actions akin to terrorism, while those who see something and say something will be rewarded with a cut of the booty.

This may sound outlandish, until you consider that this is how all tyrants and authoritarian governments have operated since the beginning of human civilization.

Hoarders beware. They’ll be coming for you.

    1. TEST says:

I used to have money… except that Obama crony Jonny-Boy Corzini took it all

      • Unreconstructed Southron says:

        1. There is no real “money” in circulation today any where in the world, only fiat paper representing debt.

        2. The only people that can afford to hoard these “Federal Reserve Tokens” are those your government are printing it for: the international bankers.

        • RickInOregon says:

Their idea of hoarding money is if you have a credit score over 600 and you are not in debt over your ears then you are hoarding.

          • durango kidd says:

LMAO!!! Great photo Mac! I’m thinking that is a picture of your bed!!! 🙂

“So why did the monetary base increase not cause a proportionate increase in either the general price level or GDP?”

Because the bulk of this money, probably more than 80% has gone to the Member Banks of the FED to REPLACE their losses and shore up their balance sheets. QE has been, PRIMARILY, an extension of the 2008/2009 Bank Bailout.

BTW, contrary to O’Bummer’s Executive Order, didn’t he just recently proclaim September, “National Preparedness Month?”

Not only is this SOB a Marxist, Muslim, and Faggot, he is also a Prepper!!! Is NOTHING sacred??? LMAO!!! 🙂

            • the renegade braveheart says:

DK, had that been my bed, a good chunk of that cash would’ve already been spent on preps. The federal propaganda always makes me sick. Also, last time I checked, EVERY month is a preparedness month for preppers. It always has been for me as long as I’ve been prepping.

New Banking Regulations FORCE Banks To Buy BILLIONS Of Treasury Securities

To Avoid Another Crash, Banks FORCED To Buy Treasury Securities

“Bank regulators are now forcing financial institutions to hold more Treasury securities in an effort to ensure cash solvency in the event of another financial crisis, the Washington Examiner reports.

The reason given for why banks must now hold an additional $100 billion dollars of liquid assets is because these securities can easily be exchanged into cash at any time. Treasury securities are the top category for qualifying as liquid assets, although banks can fulfill the requirement through stocks, as well.”

                The Daily Caller

                • Genius says:

KY, Ya and I have also read they want to take everybody’s 401K and convert them to treasury bonds. If you have a 401K and don’t get out now, yer gonna be foooked!

                • Jezebel says:

Who’s the wise guy that hacked my photbucket account and relesed the picture of my bed??? Aw well, ……

                • SmokinOkie says:

The real problem isn’t money. It’s those selfish employers who are hoarding all the jobs.
And the ‘velocity of money’? I’ve see glaciers move faster than our present economy. And that was before global warming.

                • Fyyff says:

Forcing banks? The same banks that knowingly made fraudulent loans? The same banks who profited from bundling and misrepresenting? Poor banks are being forced to solve a problem they contributed to in a huge way? It’s also part of the fed system and banks cry but actually need to play ball. If they don’t it all crashes and banks are the first to go. Don’t feel a bit sorry for banks.
Everyone is tapped out and not hoarding. The only people with money (as a group) the ultra wealthy are hoarding cash. Why? Rates are going up, the markets (housing and stock) are tubing. Get money at 2.9 percent and invest at 10 in a short time. Pocket the spread.

                • yourmotherwaswrong says:

                  durango kidd says:

                  WRONG!

Dallas FED President Richard Fisher has admitted the real intention of QE. He has admitted that the FEDs objective all along was to levitate the price of financial assets and thereby confer massive windfall gains on the wealthy who own most of them. All this was done in pursuit of some whacked-out, Keynesian version of “trickle down” economics, which according to the FED, was for the GOOD of the average American.

The Keynesian debt trick is over! The credit expansion pipeline of monetary transmission needs to come to an end!! What we have going on today is the “Wall Street Bubble Pipeline”. And it’s nothing short of a criminal curse on a free society. It does nothing more than provide free short-term credit for the 1% and devastating crashes for Main Street when the central bank fueled financial bubbles inevitably crash.

QE is NOT about replacing “Member Bank” losses, or shoring up their balance sheets!!!

QE was designed and implemented to levitate the price of financial assets and thereby confer massive windfall gains on the wealthy who own most of them.

As an establishment stooge, the durango kidd will always attempt to conceal the truth from the peasants. It seems to be his job.

                • durango kidd says:

YMWW: And you BELIEVE the FED??? LMAO!!! 🙂

Do you think they would tell you the truth? Do you think they would tell the American People that the Great Bank Bailout has continued UNABATED for six years?

Follow the money dimwit. If you understood the FED at all you would understand how the printed money was allocated, and what the INTENDED result would be.

While QE has elevated financial assets, that is a by product of their action. The PRIMARY intent was to protect the Member Banks. Watch what they do, not what they say.

They are liars, cheats, thieves, and hypocrites. And you? You are a dimwitted sheeple that believes the FED!!! 🙂

                • yourmotherwaswrong says:

Is that the best you can do DK? Name calling and ad hominem attacks.

                • yourmotherwaswrong says:

                  The durango kidd says:

“They are liars, cheats, thieves, and hypocrites.”

And yet you’re on record supporting Central Banking aka, The FED!

Attaboy DK. Keep up the brilliant analysis and commentary.

              • PO'd Patriot says:

Every once in a while I like to throw my money on the bed, jump on top of it and roll around in it some. Sometimes the quarter falls off and I have to get a flashlight and look for it. Bummer.

            • SmokinOkie says:

Hey there, DK! Yes, it is ‘National Preparedness Month.’
And for those of you who haven’t filled up your day planner yet, this month is also-

*National Cat Appreciation Month (I got extra barbecue sauce just in case the neighbors drop by to celebrate with us. Hope they don’t bring their old tabby, she looks like she’d be tough and stringy))

*National Periscope Week is Sept 10th thru the 16th. My uncle, a retired sub commander, said he’d never heard of it. I told him to check it out. He said, “Periscope week, huh? I’ll look into it.” (the smartass gene apparently runs in the family)

*Sept 22nd is World Paperless Day. We’re all supposed to do everything electronically that day and try to use no paper at all. I think some tree-hugging group is behind this one. Never was much of an en-vye-roe-menatlist myself. Still, I’ll try to go along. I got about a hundred post-it notes all over the house to remind me about it.

*Sept 24th thru the 30th is our annual “September Nights’ celebration at the okie compound. Though it’s not well known nationally, it does have quite a following around home. We get all the friends and neighbors together each night for a cook-out, some back yard guitar picking and maybe even pass around a jar of home made adult beverage of some sort. Not sure what the actual contents of the jar is… but it works good for starting old chainsaws and loosening rusty bolts and such. It’s also a great alternative tractor fuel, but way too expensive to use for that.
September Nights week is capped off by our annual ‘Debt Free’ celebration. After dark, everybody whose house or farm is paid for, gathers around a huge effigy of a banker and we set fire to it. (after target practice) It’s quite a sight watching him go up in flames. Kinda like Burning Man, only smaller. And the women keep their clothes on.

Happy September everyone! And don’t forget National Multi-Cultural Awareness Day on the 19th. Do something nice for someone who’s different. (I’m giving Juan an extra dollar when he mows the yard)

              • Hey, SmokingOkie, as a ten-burn Burning Man veteran, I can tell you that the human female is hardwired to want to show off her birthday suit. Give women a safe venue to git nekked and they will show up by the thousands to gleefully do just that. Gives you a warm fuzzy feeling to be a member of humanity to see all that glorious beauty in one place. I like your idea of burning a banker in effigy every year, but around these parts we would have to wait until fire season is over, but by then it’s too cold for much bare skin anyway.

              • the renegade braveheart says:

Howdy, SmokinOkie, good to hear from you. Sounds like a mighty fine tradition you have from Sept. 24-30. I like that ‘debt free’ celebration you mentioned. You wouldn’t be giving other people some ideas, would you?

              • Warchild Dammit! says:

PO’d,you mention wooden nickels, others mention using cash as a toilet wipe,DO NOT,REPEAT,DO NOT do that with wooden nickels, just think splinters!

How much would it cost we slaves to deport the WDC CORP and the “Federal Reserve?” For good measure, how “much” would it cost to deport Obama on a dingy with no oars?

So I am to blame for our crAppy economy,me? A guy just trying to make ends meet, no discretionary spending, seeing his hard earned money losing purchasing power thanks to govt created inflation? Up what I say to these so called best and brightest? F— you!

          • Unreconstructed Southron says:

            Ain’t dat duh troof, Rick.

          • ryanpretchik says:

One thing the Fed’s argument fails to make clear is that the reason that velocity has slowed so much is that velocity is measured on the entire monetary base. Much of the newly created money is parked on bank’s balance sheets so that they appear somewhat solvent on paper. If you exclude these funds velocity is much more in line with normal. But this fact doesn’t fit the Fed’s narrative that its hoarders causing the economy to tank. Read history- In 1933 the Fed blamed “hoarding gold” for the depression and got FDR to confiscate the gold. This may be a precursor to confiscating all cash to ring in the cashless society that is the fascist central banker’s dream come true.

            • Tomas says:

In addition to putting idle retirement accounts “to good use”. All of these financial, machinations are simply theft. Anyone notice that not a single politician with national coverage has ever mentioned that? Could it be because these masters of the universe believe it all belongs to them? Could it be that these people care only about themselves and their appetite for power at any cost? Could it be that there is true evil in the world, even if you don’t care to admit that simple fact? ISIS is just doing what some of our own “leaders” would like to do to our citizens, if only they had the balls to do it. There are two side in this conflict, us and them. Them being anyone in power or a stooge of,those in power (any gov employee or contractor.) that they don’t realize it isn’t our problem, what havoc they cause, what wealth they steal, what crises they “manage”. The government has been the bane of the unconnected’s existence for 200 years. Has anything but gov machinations been the root cause of all financial, ills for the commoners?

        • WHoWuddaThunkIt says:

What’s really going on, is that the charts that measure The “Velocity of Money” is at an all time low. Meaning there is little exchange of actual cash from person to person in the market place anymore.

Anybody who has studied Economics, knows that the faster money changes hands over and over in an economy, the better the economy and the better people lives are. That’s a FACT!

This Government claim that somehow everybody is not spending money so they claim or blaming on Hording??? Here is a clue, Nobody (99%) has any money, and those who do (1%) already got everything they want or need and 2 to 3 extras or everything. The entire Economic system is rigged. They win we lose. Everytime!

As 47.5 Million Americans are on food stamps, up from 31 Million in 2008. Is the Government trying to claim that people are hording money instead of spending it on Food? That is a very wild ignorant claim if I ever heard of one.

Here is the Reality Check. Since the Government (Out of their own incompetence and greed)has blown nearly $7 trillion dollars on 2 Illegal Fraudulent Wars in the last 13 yrs, Bombing then rebuilding Iraq and Afghanistan, instead of investing in infrastructure programs and projects here in America for our people, they also creating tax incentives on the back end, to export American Jobs overseas, which destroyed our entire Food Chain of workers from Commodities mining up the chain to manufacturing, to retail sales. No Jobs/Worky-No Money under the mattress Jackasses!! My income had dropped 75.7% in 8 years, since 2006. As I just witnessed and finished shredding up those older tax returns. (Since you only need to keep the last 7 yrs in case of an audit.)

I say lets get started with the Town Square Hangings of these lying bastard Government scoundrels. And here is their Options at Trial before we hang them. Either you Confess to your crimes, or we hang you automatically. Spill the beans, and on every other thief you know in any government position. There is a New Sheriff in town, Buford T. Justice and we ain’t taking this shit any longer. You got that Bandit!! This here is Evidence of a crime. Let er’ Rip!!!

      • wormdirt says:

Of course they are going to blame anyone but themselves.
This is their version of ‘after an internal investigation we have found no wrondoing’ that police departments are so fond of.
Forget that they have done EVERYTHING YOU SHOULDN’T DO to strengthen the economy, instead, blame the people who don’t have any money to begin with. Just goes to show how INEPT the idiots at the helm are.
The gospel truth of the matter is that the opposite has occurred. People NO LONGER have cash on hand – if they did it would be pumped into the economy. People will ALWAYS buy things they shouldn’t or don’t really need if the cash is on hand, regardless of what is going on in the world. I call out the people who wrote that report for what they are – DAMN FOOLS.

kinda hard to hoard what you don’t have!! lots and lots of people are paycheck to paycheck, they have none to hoard!!

        • DaisyK says:

They know who IS hoarding. They are keeping track of our purchases of Mountain House, buckets of wheat, rice, beans, ammo, etc. They know because they track our credit card transactions, our UPS deliveries, and our grocery store purchases (remember those preferred customer discount cards. What do you suppose they do with that info?)

When the SHTF, they can publish lists of the hoarders and the amounts of each item they claim we are hoarding. They WANT riots and people attacking other people. Remember, Agenda 21 requires that the population of the earth should be reduced to 500 million. Easier for them to get us to kill each other than for them to kill 6 1/2 billion people. The Nazi gas chambers killed only about 1/1,000 of that. To kill that many people they either need to do something to make the earth uninhabitable, (which means it would uninhabitable for THEM) or get US to do the dirty work.

I firmly believe that they will publish lists of accused hoarders. Probably tax what they allege people have stored, then publish a list of people who didn’t pay the tax and the amount of their “tax,” (“100 pounds of wheat, one case of powdered milk, two barrels of apples, etc.”) Again — easier to publish the list than try to take it themselves.

          • Archivist says:

They can’t track what I buy. Cash only, no UPS deliveries of supplies, and I don’t have a store card in my name. When I get groceries, sometimes I use the card, which is in someone else’s name, sometimes I borrow the card from the next person in line, and sometimes the checker has one she scans for me. Plus I loan my card to others in line, so the computers have no idea what a lot of people buy at my local supermarket.

Everyone around me “knows” I am broke and don’t have anything at all except my record collection and computer.

I don’t know how to buy from Amazon, The Ready Store, Augason Farms, etc. without leaving a trail. The only thing that might save me is that about 35% of this residents of this community are Mormon, so probably there are going to be lots of people on their list.

That’s an ideal situation. We live in a very poor area, and our “standard” income is considered wealthy around here. We quit talking about prepping about two years ago, and my biggest fear is my nine-year-old grand-daughter who cannot keep her mouth shut about anything. We are also “older” and people consider our gardening and orchard tending to be “eccentric”, if not totally demented. Why on earth they think that way instead of doing it themselves is beyond me. The quality and quantity of food would help them greatly. I hate where we live, but it had the most to offer within the limits of what we could afford. Smokin’ Okie, we want to come to your party!

              • Anonymous says:

Braveheart has no Credit cards cause his credit is probably shot. Many people live off cash or food stamps and not by choice. Back when,… Grocery stores refuse to accept credit cards for food purchases. Until they figured out the average ticket for cash sales was about only $35 and those who uned a credit carf aversge grocery purchase was about $70 nearly double the sale purchase amount. You see it costs big chain stores more to accept cash than credit cards. Sure there is a small fee of about 1.7% fee from credit card processord but that is direct deposit. The cost to handle cash is greatet. You have to pay for security, man hours to count cash, store it un a safe, days to get credit since the Brinks Truck has to come get it and drive it to the bank. There is not much advantage to accept cash, as transactions from the register are documentedand sales tax is applied, it is hard to hide it off the books to avoid taxes. So there is more to this move to a Cashless society and why employers require direct deposit of your paychecks. It cost lots of miney to write payroll checks and process them. Other than it allows an employer a few extra days holding the payroll asset before the check is redeemed. Don’t get me started on the bank thieves wo charge a bank check cashing fee to cash a check drawn on their own bank. That is skimmig off of peoples labor. I hate bankstets.

Anonymous, I don’t have any credit cards because I don’t want or need them. I have almost every record that charted back to the 1940s. I also have almost every record that would have charted if there had been charts back to 1890, according to Joel Whitburn’s book, “Pop Memories, 1890-1954.” This also includes charted country records back to the 1940s and thousands more back to the first country records in 1922. I also have r&b and blues back to an original copy of the first official blues record, “Crazy Blues” by Mamie Smith from 1920. My jazz records go back to Jim Europe in around 1914. I have cylinders, single-sided and two-sided 78s, 45s, LPs, 8-tracks, cassettes, reel-to-reels, CDs, and MP3 files. I was making MP3 type files before most people had heard of the format, back when it was MP2. The first song I copied from an LP and digitized in MP2 format was “Detour” by Duane Eddy back in 1998.

As far as types of records, I’ve got everything from Irish music and circus music all the way to belly dancing music. I have almost every Mantovani album and most of the 101 Strings albums. I also have a large collection of gospel albums, Statesmen, Happy Goodman Family, Chuck Wagon Gang, etc.

I may never get to listen to all of them, but I will always have a good choice.

Yesterday I was buying 2 large bags of Purina dog chow at WalMart for my dogs Shadow and Lady.

I was about to check out when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think, that I had an elephant?

Since I had little else to do, on impulse, I told her that No, I didn’t have a dog – that I was starting the Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn’t because I ended up in the hospital last time.
On the bright side though, I’d lost 50 pounds before I awakened in intensive care with tubes coming out of every hole in my body and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry and that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again.
(I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was enthralled with my story by now.)

Horrified, She asked : “Did you end up in intensive care because the dog food had poisoned you?”

I said: No not at all; I had stopped in the middle of the parking lot to lick a poddles ass and a car hit me.

The guy behind her was laughing so hard, I thought he was going to have a heart attack!

Taught 5 year olds to older who have never shot a gun before, gun safety, respect of guns, and everyone got to shoot each others guns at a multitude of targets, even skeet shooting. WE HAD A FRICKING BALL…
This was the 5th event in six years, so a tradition is established. Never seen so many smiling faces on kids. Everyone wants to come to the next one, so next year I might make it an all day event, do a pig in the ground, bring side dish kind of thing. Working on posting some videos taken, just takes time to get it all set up. And the best part, no one got hurt. Of course I had everyone sign a document that released me and my property from anything that goes wrong. Of course the neighbors thought WW3 had started, but some even came by to shoot. And this one was the best ever, I estimate some 5000 rounds were shot in 5.5 hours. Yes, it was a waste of ammo in a way, but as a survivalist, we taught the next wave of preppers some important skills concerning guns and shooting….

          The child did so.

The mother pushed and after a little

The little boy responded: “He shouldn’t

Yea, as a self-paying, two year college student from the seventies, I lived within my means.

But that isn’t the case for young people these days.

The average debt from attending a four-year college is now over $31,000.00. Most of that debt is “revolving interest”, or credit card debt.

The reports say that the total college debt now stands at about 1.2 trillion dollars, and that it is crippling the economy; mainly because graduates are having to move back home with parents and Mom and Dad are stuck with the college debt entirely, since there are no jobs for those graduates to take.

With about 18 million students enrolled in college, and many are “living it up”, nice cars/parties/ball games/spring breaks to South Beach, all on credit, the vicious cycle continues.

So, the way i see it, there is a lot of “hoarding” going on; but, it isn’t cash being hoarded, it is “credit card bills”.

BJinME, it’s interesting that ‘hoarding’ is one of the favorite words of government officials. I’ve always known it as ‘stockpiling’, and there is a difference between the 2 words. Stockpiling is when people such as we preppers gather together a certain amount of food, water, medical supplies, and other essential supplies to help us survive natural disasters and other adverse situations. The real definition of the word hoarding is when corporations hold back a certain product and/or service in order to raise the price and that same product or service and make windfall profits from it. Example: after the Middle East war of October, 1973, OPEC imposed the ‘Arab Oil Embargo’ because of US support for Israel. There was never any embargo. It was an artificial shortage. All of the oil companies were simply holding back gasoline to make a windfall profit. I can still remember the long lines at the gas stations and the fights that sometimes broke out. I was in a few of those fights. What Big Oil did back then is what is really called hoarding. The feds can take their propaganda and get f#$%ed.

It is so ironic that they are talking about what we choose to gather for the unknown, when the White Houses’ website advised to stock up for natural disasters. With a list of things to purchase.
In addition, law markers create the rules and regulation on how we can save, when we can withdrawal our hard earned money. Which makes it impossible to take your money out, which it should be mentioned is tied to the stock market? Take the money outt and pay the early withdrawl penalties or have leave it in to magically disappear as the stock market takes a downturn based on bad labor and the declining economy!
If the printing of money to the tune of 83 billion a month, which is what is driving the stock market upwards, isn’t enough then my few extra dollars in the mansion jar will never fulfill what ever financial gains they think they will be gaining!

EfF U obama and your corrupt administration…..

    14. Oh dear GOD…. where do I begin?

      A) The people are not “hoarding” money. The people HAVE NO MONEY TO HOARD

      B) Most people who I know are barely scraping by from paycheck to paycheck; those that have paychecks that is.

      C) Most of us are not earning anywhere near what we once did; many of us are back to jobs and pay scales we thought we had left behind 10 or 15 years ago

      D) yes there is “very little inflation”… except for non essentials like food, clothing, gasoline and medicine. NONE of which are included in calculating today’s inflation rates. Perhaps the all seeing eye on top of the pyramid cannot see all the way down here where us “little people” scrimp and pinch pennies and wonder how we can afford to live

      E) PEOPLE ARE SCARED. Scared of not being able to pay their bills or stay in their homes or put their kids through school, to say nothing of saving for the pipe dream called “retirement”. I know of many people who joke that they’ll know they’ve “retired” from the sound of the dirt clods raining down on the small wood box they are laying in.

      F) The very idea that the people are “hoarding” money when they’re barely able to keep their heads above water would be laughable if it were not so dangerous. Dangerous because it is so blind and self serving; dangerous because the pompous self absorbed gasbags at the very top have no idea how angry they are making the people of this nation. How much longer do we have to watch this fantasy play out on TV, where everything is sunshine and lollipops, while in the real world there is real suffering, and things are NOT getting any better?

This is nothing more than the so-called “elites” lashing out against we the people because their mad ridiculous schemes ARE NOT WORKING. They cannot possibly be wrong; THEY never mistakes; it must be everyone else who is at fault. Pathetic!

He’s not spending the night in Washington. That’s concerning. Skyvector.com, scroll to doc area, should see it. Or google tfr 4/1911 praying for you guys, last check on preps! Again, the president will not be in Washington for the 9/11 anniversary.

        Eagle 1-

Thanks for the tip, good info. I checked the NOTAMS and zoomed out in the DC area- there are 4 VIP TFRs that I can see in that area. Biggest one is around Wash National. Commercial/Military IFR squawking discrete codes (as they should be anyways)are still flying in the TFR, so nothing new there. That means VFR and A/C with transponder issues are potentially hostiles?

I don’t have any people inside the ARTCCs in that area so I will be blind as to what if anything that transpires. Have some west coast and central contacts and will ping them to see what’s up.

        • Eagle 1 says:

Vfr actually is more easily detected. You must file a flight plan to get into that space. Although if someone really wanted to they could fake an emergency over Reagan international and gain priority clearance. After that, who knows what would happen. Two of the tfrs have been in place since 9/11 (the ones centered on Reagan international) the one just north of there is also a location where many prominent Washington folk would first bug out to. It would make sense though, rats run from a field set on fire.

Thus, so what….the amount of food stored in 5 gallon buckets is an extreme joke when you compare annual production.

That way 1% truly controls and owns the 99%. There is a massive redistribution of wealth going on right now and sadly 99% Americans cannot see it….

      No Money in Poky….

The day happened. Along with my AARP letter, was a letter from my bank. They wanted to know why I was not in debt and still paying my bills. They stated that to be fair, we must take 50% of your account and pay the bills for the less fortunate that don’t feel like working or paying their bills.

Congress finally passed a Law called the Ugly Bill….this was to take from those that pay and then redivy it to those that don’t. Houses paid then get revalued and then that goes to underwater mortgage payments. It is a win-win for the bankster and for those that have a $300,000 mortgage with an $8 an hour job….

Under the newly passed Ugly Bill people fortunate will need to work 120 hour weeks to make up for the lack of jobs for those that may want to look for one in about 20 years. This will keep hoarding to a minimum so that people working and paying have nothing else to do but work and drink Oly at 10pm….if the working class is always working, then how can they hoard? Right?

The Ugly Bill goes into effect 9-11-2014. For those fortunate ones that have paid their bills, have a home, and are responsible, you will get a separate tax ID number than the less fortunate ones. Your rates will be taxed differently than the others. If you have any questions, contact one of the UN officers at your local FEMA Camp. Please help America a Grow!

      Good Evening Everyone…

Ummmm, it MAY be a little ‘wierder’ than you all have recognized just yet. As was posted in – here – a couple of days ago I WATCHED (YECHHH!) about 5 minutes of ‘Bloomberg TV’ accidentally the other day. Lo and behold…what caught my attention as I sat skipping through the channels was a female reporter saying,

“A recent study by the Federal Reserve indicates that the stimulus injected since 2007 has predominantly enriched the 1% ALONE…”

..or somesuch (Give or take, that’s from memory, after all!) So, what NOW? They KNOW damn good and WELL that “WE, the People” don’t have SQUAT left. That means that THIS lil bit of publicity is ACTUALLY directed at someone other than US…at THEM-SELVES. Gee.,, it’s NICE to be off the hook for once, ain’t it?

No, this is something ‘different’ people; remember that the BIS just a couple of weeks ago was hawking on about there being too much investor complacency in the markets? Yes, that the VIX was WAY too LOW, Yes?

This is as CLOSE as they are EVER going to come to saying ‘it’s our fault’; beleive me the only reason that any thing such-like is being heard now is that somewhere in the backs of thier primitive minds something is warning them that there WILL be consequences…like, PITCH-Forks…Filleting KNIVES, and my absolute, all-time FAVORITE…straight from the French Revolution… Mr GUILLOTINE!

THIS is how the “in-fighting” BEGINS…first a few…THEN everyone pointing the finger at SOMEONE ELSE. Technically, these are still primates, though calling them ‘Human’ would be…well, stretching it a tad, I KNOW, XCUSSE ME!!! However, way back in them lil noggins, back where the DARK things live, somebody is gettin’ a LITTLE NERVOUS, hehehehe.

If you THINK DWTS or Monday Night Football is entertaining just WAIT a few more weeks…I’m sure everyone here caught the friday jobs news….HHHAHAHHAH!

140kK JOBS ADDED?! She-it, it TAKES 400K per month just to maintain a statis quo with the younger generation; older workers retiring to ‘Golden Bliss’ those vacancies filled by 20-somethings. The only problem is that the ELDERS are shit-scared that thier vaporized savings aren’t going to last more than – Oh, day another 4 months…not 18 years! Consequently, NO ONE is retiring if they can avoid it.

      On THAT note, “An open note to the Younger generations”;

Please accept my profound apologies for the mess we have left you. I and my generation – as well those preceding us – SLEPT on our WATCHES…and all this SHIT happened by THEFT as we did; the vain and the greedy came while we slept and took it ALL. We have NO excuse.

That said, bring on the second Revolution…I don’t think anything else is capable of reseting it all at this point. Good Luck, God Bless.

To my generation…WHEN will it END?…amd HOW?

NOTE: the last message from ‘him’ is – here – slightly delayed …small accident with SHARP OBJECT…BLOOD… ME. OOPS.

THAT is ALL the typing I can muster this eve. Tomorrow likely…

Partly because of the “fear” factor, that their retirement money isn’t gonna see them thru, and partly because all they have ever known is work, and that is all they want to do. They are afraid of being idol and insignificant.

The little woman’s mother is seventy-two and works part time so she can have her “blowing” money. She doesn’t have to work and her employer loves it because she will keep her hours under the 30 hour maximum on the insurance requirement crap.

And since the WAR drums are beating ever louder, that is the indicator that the ‘monetary reset’ is not very far behind. They (TPTB)WANT War, it is painfully obvious at this point. To wit:

Europe Goes “All In”: Will Sanction Rosneft, Gazprom Neft And Transneft

Until this moment, the main reason why everyone mostly dismissed Europe’s sanctions against Russia is that despite all its pompous rhetoric, Europe consistently refused to hit Russia where it would hurt: its energy titans Gazprom, Rosneft And Transfneft. The reason is simple: by imposing sanctions on these core energy exporters, Europe would directly threaten the stability of its own energy imports (Russia accounts for up to 30% of German gas imports), and as winter approaches with every passing day, playing with the energy status quo would seem like economic suicide. This all appears to have changed last Friday, when as the FT reports from a leaked copy, Europe’s latest sanctions round will boldly go where Europe has never dared to go before, and impose sanctions on the big three: Rosneft, Gazprom Neft and Transneft.

This is what is known in game theory terms as a major defection round.

It also means that suddenly the stakes for Russia, and thus Europe, just got all too real, as Putin will now have no choice but to really ramp up the retaliatory escalation, which following the food ban can only mean one thing: a staggered reduction in gas flow to Europe.

It also means something else: recall that it was just ten days ago when we reported that Gazprom would begins accepting payment for oil in Ruble and Yuan.

If today’s news is confirmed, Europe’s dramatic shift in sanctions strategy means that Europe’s embargo of both the US Dollar and the Euro will accelerate as Russia further intensifies its shift away from both the west and the petrodollar. The only and clear winner here: China, which will almost certainly step in to provide the funding Russia needs however on Beijing’s terms in effect making the symbiotic link between Russia and China even stronger, forcing Moscow to rely almost exclusively on China for trade and funding relations, and suddenly give Xi Jinping all the trump cards.

What China’s president will do, now that he has all the leverage in the world to call shots both to the West, the East, and of course, Africa, remains unknown, although those thousands of tons of gold imports that mysteriously enter the country and are never heard from again, may provide a hint.

On the 18th of this month, the Fed is going to see for themselves, just what happens when a part of a particular Nation votes in a referendum to Cede from the Union!!! The reasons include, government incompetence, Bankster theft!!! and to throw off government control of the people.

Unfortunately, it’s not a State in our Union!!! The Union I’m talking about? The British Union. In 10 days, Scotland vote to cede from the United Kingdom. The Queen, and English politicians are shitting themselves!!! They may just loose 40 odd % of the United Kingdom if Scotland split!! Including there biggest revenue making honey pot, the North Sea oil fields!!! It will have huge ramifications for us too! Technically, Great Britain would loose there seat at the UN Security Council …… Meaning the US and France versus China and Russia. Our most important International partner is about to be wiped off the political map forever.

The beginning of the end for the Global Elites is days away. And they won’t go with out a fight or an attempt to sacrifice another generation to a meat grinder with a made up lie to protect themselves. Time to make sure you’ve got EVERYTHING stored up, gassed up and finely oiled with a soft pull through.

Folks: the endgame is near. Rome is indeed burning while its “leaders” fiddle. The world is fed up with the machinations of the TRUE axis of evil – US, UK & Israel. Russia, China & Germany will emerge as powerhouses. They’re fleeing the dead US dollar & installing the Gold Standard. Also they’re now trading oil using their currencies which will eventually cause an end to the almighty petrodollar. All these conflicts happening are about these issues despite what you hear on state-sponsored propaganda (CNN, MSNBC, Fox).

Hundreds of trillions in debt, most of the population hooked on Big Pharma drugs, government handouts, gadgets & mindless, vile “entertainment”, chanting USA! USA! while our disillusioned military veterans commit suicide in record numbers daily…….shall I go on? The age of the American empire is OVER – DONE – FINISHED. Sooner the better I say. I myself have declared to friends & family that I no longer call this corporation called the UNITED STATES my country. It was usurped a long time ago, but the key years are 1917 & 1933 where all Americans current & future became property of the NWO cabal.

ISIS? So let me get this straight: CIA (the biggest gun running & drug smuggling operation in the world, among other vile & sadistic acts) arms & trains Afghans to fight Soviets = Mujahadeen who become Al-Qaeda who then become ISIS. They will be blamed for the next major false flag event to occur on our soil, & I fear soon because slowly but surely 9-11 truth is pushing its way to the mainstream & once people find out it was a Mossad operation using nukes (Veterans Today has been blowing the lid off this) heads will roll.

The only hope I cling to is that eventually good will triumph over evil. However, I’m not sure if it’s destined to happen during this cosmic cycle. The planet may be destroyed & made new once again until the human species learns to co-exist peacefully with both each other & nature.

Of the total 60 million, about 15 million were killed by the Germans during the war, the rest were murdered by their own government, government being what passed for the gang of insane political thugs that seized power from the Kerensky government in 1917.

One thing that confidence requires, is stability. With this admin imposing more and more executive actions that impact financial aspects of our society, confidence wanes because those actions directly impact the nation’s perception of stability. If you are trying to survive in the business world, not knowing which way we’ll flop next, puts a great strain on decision making.
