Rasmussen Reports says 75% Are Angry At Government’s Current Policies:

Voters are madder than ever at the current policies of the federal government.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 75% of likely voters now say they are at least somewhat angry at the government’s current policies, up four points from late November and up nine points since September.

Eighty-nine percent (89%) of Republicans are angry with the government’s current policies, which is perhaps not surprising with the White House and Congress both in Democratic hands. But 78% of voters not affiliated with either major party agree.

Sixty-one percent (61%) of Democrats share that anger, but Republicans are three times as likely as Democrats to be Very Angry.

While much of the attention lately has been focused on tea party goers as being the most upset, this latest poll suggests that the issues Americans have with government transcend party lines.

Republicans may feel confident going into the 2010 mid-term elections, but as we’ve mentioned before, they’ll only have a year or so to make serious changes, otherwise they face an ousting in the 2012 elections.

The American public seems to be waking up to the idea that both parties are equally responsible for where we are today, and hopefully we’ll take action en masse in the coming years to stop the culture of corruption, deceit, and self centeredness that has permeated Washington DC for the last century.

People are waking up to a process I bluntly refer to as:

NationFuck: Screwing the American Population for the Benefit of A Few.

…and we are getting tired of it. While we’re jobless, they are rolling it it. While we’re trying to survive on unemployment, they’re getting 20 million dollar bonuses. While we apply for food stamps so we can eat, congress gives themselves a $10,000.00 raise. Its sucks and they’re crooks. We need a new congress and a new senate and then we need an administration that will work for the people.

Although I am proud to be an American, and still think we live in the greatest country on the planet, this poll proves beyond all doubt that 25% of the population is brain dead.

Let me be clear – both parties basically suck.

Comments…..@ Rick: Maybe that 25% does not represent the “brain dead”, instead, it may represent the percentage of the population that directly benfit from this system.  Rough guess: 2% financial, 5% defense contractors, 20% bureaucrats (local, state, federal), roughly…Or, maybe it represents both.

So, a man was worried about his son that was in his late teens. His son had not really decided what he wanted to do. His son was near graduating high school and did not know what direction he wanted to go with his life.

    The father devised this test:

In his son’s room he would lay 4 items: a Bible, a bottle of jack, a Playboy magazine and a silver dollar.

If the boy picked up the Bible, he’d be a preacher. If the bottle, a drunkard. If the Playboy, a womanizer. If the silver dollar, a bizness man.

So, the man hides behind the door waiting for his son. The boy comes in, puts the Bible under his arm, slips the silver dollar into his pocket, takes a look at the centerfold and then takes a big slug of jack.

The son is nearly scared to death when his dad yells, “Woo! Hoo! We’re moving to DC! Boy! You’re gonna be a Senator!”

…and I would laugh if I thought it was funny.

    Good one NR! haha!

Rick, both parties do suck! The problem is, those in each party think it is the other party that sucks!

The hope is that they will both figure out that they themselves suck and need to go with a new party, which is actually no party! If people would just think for themselves instead of having to be spoon-fed their idealogies, we’d all be much better off.

It’s not that both parties suck (they do actually), but that Keynsianists suck, and they suck big time. Unfortunately that’s about 99.5% of our elected officials.

    Chris,

Why? Why is it that 99.9% of our politicians are Keynsianists? Is it because, on the surface, they please the sheople more? …or because it takes someone to be that intellectually dishonest and corrupt to play the politician games?

Personally, I think they are not Keynsianists. I think that the role they play to steal our liberty merely looks like Keynsianism but its really because of elitist/globalist/dictatorial powergrabbing (and anti-individualism. Ha! and you thought AI in the Matix meant “Artificial Intelligence”, didn’t you?). Keynsianists in a pure form seem like they just try to make it all better from the top. While this might be possible, absent any corruption, the Keynsianists’ model appears to be kind of like a “Social Petrie Dish For Corruption”. So, it ends up that the people at the top are only Keynsianists because they can get more power, not because they *REALLY* believe that Keynsianist policies are better. I guess it’s splitting hairs but I just like to know why the enemy is they way they are. Much like they are Christians, they are at the same time Keynsianists (Which, if people REALLY understood either philosophy they’d know you can’t be both.) It gets them farther, gives them better control and gets them elected. (See previous joke about the son, the Bible, the jack, the Playboy and the silver dollar…)

    NetRanger,

I think you’re right, at least mostly right. I was perhaps oversimplifying things in my previous statement – mainly making a statement wherein the majority of the citizenry concentrate on Red vs. Blue and Conservative vs. Liberal, all while the real issue is either come to terms now with your debt or continue to kick the can down the road and endanger your children/grand-children for generations as the country devolves into insolvency. This is the issue that I was referring to that less than 0.5% of the politicians (and Congressmen) understand because few remember the pre-FDR days when we didn’t rely on government handouts and bailouts to keep the system humming along.

But your point is well taken as it gets to the heart of an analogous issue which is does Keynsianism simply reward the liars and cheaters more than any other system? I think perhaps the answer is “yes”, insofar that the Keynsianists exist within a so called “democracy” (ignoring for the moment that we don’t actually have a democracy). The reason is a democracy tends to be more open and “fair”, so in order to subvert the system a much more cunning, surreptitious way to steal wealth and power must be devised. Hence Keynsianism, which inflates deficits and weakens the currency by excess money printing effectively stealing money from the public, which they accept as inflation but don’t truly understand how they’re being victimized. In a socialist or totalitarian form of government, the people are more ignorant of their government dealings anyway (as the system is supposed to function), thus the stealing and looting can be more overt.

Notice I’m not saying that these socialist countries cannot practice Keynsianism, just that open and free democratic societies such as ours almost has to resort to it in order to steal and get away with it.

I believe the power crazed lunatics and liars and thieves will try to game any system independent of its framework, so I think in essence we agree.
