Possibility of Rand Paul Win in Kentucky is “Very Alarming”

It’s not just Democrats that should be worried about a third party movement. Republicans who call themselves conservative and give lip service to liberty should also be concerned, and in Kentucky, they are:

Senior Republicans in Kentucky and Washington D.C. are deeply concerned about Senate candidate Trey Grayson’s campaign as he struggles to narrow the gap against GOP primary rival Rand Paul.

Two months before the election, the libertarian-leaning Paul, son of the Texas congressman and quixotic presidential contender, has tapped into anti-Washington grass-roots fervor on the right and staked out an advantage over Grayson, Kentucky’s secretary of state and establishment favorite.

Recognizing the threat, a well-connected former aide to Vice President Dick Cheney convened a conference call last week between Grayson and a group of leading national security conservatives to sound the alarm about Paul.

“On foreign policy, [global war on terror], Gitmo, Afghanistan, Rand Paul is NOT one of us,” Cesar Conda wrote in an e-mail to figures such as Liz Cheney, William Kristol, Robert Kagan, Dan Senor and Marc Thiessen.

With an attached memo on Paul’s noninterventionist positions, Conda concluded: “It is our hope that you can help us get the word out about Rand Paul’s troubling and dangerous views on foreign policy.”

In an interview, Conda noted that Paul once advocated for closing down the detention center at Guantanamo Bay and sending some suspected terrorists to the front lines in Afghanistan.

“This guy could become our Republican senator from Kentucky?” he exclaimed. “It’s very alarming.”

Republicans and Democrats, in general, are simply two heads of the same snake. And if there is one thing that crosses party lines and unites the snake, it’s the alarming potential of a non-traditional candidate winning a seat in Congress.

It has been said that the Republican party is attempting to hijack the Tea Party movement. This makes sense, as the third party, or multi-party,  movement seriously threatens Republicans and Democrats, and it seems that the Republican Party has figured out that they need to absorb the Tea Party now or face the possibility of defeat in upcoming elections.

Congressional representatives from both parties are scared. They know that the American people, once mobilized, can seriously hamper their continued efforts to loot our treasury and restrict our freedoms.

I’m tempted to give money to Rand Paul’s campaign and hope others consider it as well.

20smoney, do it, give a bit of money to his campaign.  Can you put a price on liberty?  I will be giving at least 25 dollars, every little bit helps.  Right now there is really no liberty/constitution supporter in the senate, we need one.

I hate to think in a defeatist way, but this article makes some good points regarding third-party candidates being spoilers in a two-party system.  There is truth to that, but I think at some point, and in certain situations, we have to try to get past that and vote in people like Rand Paul.  Now, as for a third-party Presidential candidate, that may be a way off…

It is obvious to me that the status quo Republican party is trying to hijack the Tea Party Movement. Thrusting forth Sarah Palin as presidential material is one tactic. I have no use for these usurpers, and you can be sure the Tea Party has been infiltrated. I hope people are waking up! I would love to see Rand Paul elected!

Comments…..I will support Rand Paul.  I am done with the Repuglicans.  We wouldn’t be in the mess that we are in now if they would have done their job.  They spent our tax dollars away just as much as the Democrats.  Go Rand Paul!

Rand Paul’s campaign got a huge boost when he was endorsed by Sarah Palin. This would be a tremendous victory to see Paul win.  Cheney and other establishment republicans campaigned for Kay Bailey Hutchinson in Texas while Palin campaigned for Perry, who won easily. The establishment lost in Texas and they are going to lose in Kentucky as well.

Caribou Barbie has already sold out to her Israeli/Zionist masters. Her insertion into the Tea Party gig is a joke. If the Republicans think they have stolen the movement, they can have it. I’ll vote to get rid of the current crop of traitors, jackass or dumbo, they both have to go.

It sure is time for a change from the two-headed snake that’s destroyed this country. People are angry and disgusted with most incumbents who have sold us out and sold their souls for the power and perks of office. Time to throw these bums out! Rand Paul will be a voice of sanity in the Washington DC asylum.

there is a skillful attempt to divert our attention from the real issues facing us by baiting conservatives and liberals against each other. in the meantime, laws were passed by both democrat and republican administrations that give the financial industry unlimited access to america’s savings with minimal oversight and virtual immunity from criminal prosecution. during this diversion america’s financial oligarchy plundered the nation’s wealth with the aid of their political whores.

this crisis can’t be saved by more government bailouts, more jobs, more credit and a rising stock market.

we are at the end of the longest credit cycle in history that has overwhelmed our ability to sevice it. our bebt based capital market is collapsing.

when you get your ballot, just go down the list and vote against every incumbent from president all the way down to village idiot.  Will you be voting for some idiots this way?  Sure you will.  The point is however, you’re already voting for idiots right now.  We have to get rid of ALL the incumbents, not just some of them.  Will we be getting rid of some good, honest public servants?  You Betcha!  The thing is, we don’t have any viable way of voting out the incompetent idiots.

Lots of talk show hosts and politicians will say that you have a chance to fire your local politician every election day.  This is not really true.  Political incumbents have a 95% rate of return, (meaning that they get re-elected), whether they do their jobs or not.  The advantage that incumbents have is so overwhelming that we have had dead incumbents get re-elected in this country (see Mel Carnahan, US Senate candidate 2000 election, Missouri).

The trick is to get rid of all of them.

If a personality such as Sarah Palin is proud to support Rand Paul I would be highly suspect of him.

Why is this guy a member of the Gang of Plunderers? And why is his father a member? For the exposure? For the money? Doesn’t seem likely.

So, the question is, if the two Pauls are supposed to be “outsiders,” and Ron Paul was the Libertarian Party candidate for President in 1980, would somebody explain WHY?

By the way, voting is a public display of weak character and low intelligence. People who wash regularly shouldn’t stoop to democracy.
