“Lines Out The Door”: How Americans Respond When Liberal States Restrict Their Gun Rights

The window is closing on freedom in the Golden State, as liberal government leaders and increasingly bureaucratic laws are being used to strip away the rights of the people.

Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a slew of new laws, seen by many as unconstitutional, that will make it incrementally more difficult for Californians to keep and bear arms.

But in response to new restrictions on owning so-called “assault weapons” and certain types of semi-automatic firearms, millions are lining up to make purchases during the last legal time frame to do so.

While the state tramples on freedom and bites back at the spirit of the founders who abhorred such bureaucratic tyranny, these patriots are sending a message that they won’t take it lying down, and will do all they can to hold onto their American heritage – and pass it down to future generations.

As of today, people can no longer legal purchase under the new laws taking effect, due to the 10-day waiting period law already in place.

via The Blaze:

Gun sales in California have skyrocketed during the second half of 2016 after California Gov. Jerry Brown, a Democrat, signed into law earlier this year a sweeping new set of gun control laws that are set to take effect Jan. 1.

Brown signed into law six measures, including one that requires California citizens to allow the government to confiscate their “high capacity” magazines, a law that requires a background check for ammunition sales, in addition to a “bullet button law.”

So-called bullet buttons are devices on semi-automatic rifles that allow a user to easily eject and insert a new magazine. You will still be able to own rifles that have a bullet button in California, but you’ll no longer be able to purchase a firearm that has one, according to the Los Angeles Times.

However, citizens who own firearms with the “bullet button” will have one year to register the gun with the state of California as an “assault weapon.”

[…]

The new guns laws have led to a run on firearms in California… Joshua Deaser, the owner of Just Guns in Sacramento, told the Times, “When Gov. Brown signed that bill, the first 30 days in July were just insane. It died down for a while but now we are back with everyone trying to get what they can before the end of the year.”

“We have people lined up out the door and around the block,” Terry McGuire, owner of the Get Loaded gun store in San Bernardino, added.

And they aren’t stopping there.

Breitbart is reporting that Californian lawmakers are planning an attempt at all-out ban of semi-automatic weapons in the coming year.

How that will play out remains to be seen, but the continued assault on the 2nd Amendment rights of all Americans trapped inside the country’s most populous state:

In a recent conversation with Breitbart News, Gun Owners of California’s (GOC) Sam Paredes told us to be ready for an all-out ban on semi-automatic long guns in California’s coming legislative session.

Paredes suggested the “assault weapons” ban and the “bullet button” ban have both been part of an incremental move…

“These laws are the tip of the iceberg here in California. We expect they are going to introduce legislation to totally ban semi-automatic long guns in California. They will do this because they know we will come up with a new way to beat their latest ban–the ‘bullet button’ ban–if given time.”

Eventually, a chaotic world will attempt to take away all the rights of the individual to self-defense.

If there wasn’t so much push back, it would surely be overnight.

Never mind that it opens up big cities to unrestricted violence and an overall diminished quality of life and access to opportunity.

This is a system that wants control, and to achieve that, they will stop at nothing short of a totally-disarmed population.

    This title might better say:

“”guns aimed at lawmakers”How Americans Respond When Liberal States Restrict Their Gun Rights”

    • Menzoberranzan says:

True. Every gun control law ever passed is unconstitutional and to be ignored.

      • The Deplorable Braveheart says:

Menzo, I already carry certain items in the truck with me everywhere I go since the Clinton era that are probably illegal, but I don’t follow any restrictions on self-defense, period. Anyone wants to take something from me, they’ll just get hot lead for their efforts.

      • Genius says:

Ahhh Marbury vs. Madison supreme court case. The problem is that since the bankruptcy in 1933 no judge HAS to allow cases before that date in court. We are in receivership and have been ever since….

      • Zeus says:

Next thing Commiefornia will ban is Assault Fishing Poles, then Assault bicycles, then Assault Cars, and Assault baseball bats, and assault purses. Assault is a Verb, not a Noun or a Gun type. The morons in Cali are friggin dopes and have not a clue what guns are about. Its the ZOG brainwashing, to destroy Americans Freedoms and Liberty. And it Unconstitutional. Trump could arrest and Jail libtard Jerry Brown for ignoring immigration laws and setting up sanctuary cities.

    • rocquedog says:

We decided last yr. to never vacation in that communist state again. Kalifornia needs to be kicked out of the U.S. and a wall not only blocking out Mex. illegals but extended to keep Kalifornians in their own communist/globalist state. We in the US do not want their disease to spread any further.

    • California Resident says:

I sell guns in CA. In the year leading up to the final legal AR selling date, Dec. 21st, gun transfer paperwork on a daily basis exceeded 7 to 8 thousand DROS’s per day with the final 2 weeks sometimes exceeding 10 – 12k per day.

Ca lifornia not only want their guns, the WANT their AR’s and AK’s!

Now….back to my current 80% build, for the 7th time.

FUCK YOU Jerry Brown, Kevin Deleon, Daryl Steinberg, and Gavin Newsome.

      I will not comply.

    • Eisenkreutz says:

Europe is disarmed and they heretofore didn’t have much crime because the population was 99 white.

      • Libs R Loons says:

Wrong! The crimes are not being recorded as “armed robbery”, “armed home invasions”, rape at gunpoint”, etc, because the police are required to make it look as though “gun control” is working And have you somehow missed the millions of so-called “muslim refugees” that have invaded European countries? You, madame, had better get your facts straight before making ignorant comments on social media.

  2. TEST says:

Look at a voting map from last Nov. Except for LA, Hollywierd and SF, the greater part of CA is red.

The real California needs to secede from the fake, leftist CA. The leftist folks can join N. Korea, Venezuela, or Cuba, where they will be happier

  3. Emily says:

Californians elected these moonbats. They deserve what they get. How many times has Brown been elected? These people also voted in the ammo background check. Ya can’t fix stupid, folks. How many illegals voted in this state? Now it is too late…..more illegals and morons than real people.

  4. Can Trump overturn these laws being enacted by Jerry Brown. I remember thinking how cool it was that he was dating Linda Ronstad. She is vocally extraordinary, but she is also Mexican. They are no longer a couple, I guess. But it makes me wonder if old Jerry doesn’t love Mexicans more than a California governor probably should. What would happen if Mexico decided to reclaim CAlifornia. Would he just say, “sure, we apologize for taking it in the first place”. I’m thinking he would give back CAlifornia and demand Texas and Arizona give it up for Mexico, too.

    __

    • Anonymous says:

“…BUT SHE WAS MEXICAN”…?? SO WHAT!! IDIOT!

      • Elizabeth says:

What are you taking exception to? Is it the fact that moonbeam was dating a girl or a Mexican? Hey leave B alone, he has enough problems without your sorry ass dog-piling him.
One of my favorite songs this time of year is “Merry Christmas from the family” by Robert Earl Keen. Why don’t you listen to it. If B’s post got your panties up your crack so tight, the line about “little sister’s new boyfriend” should make your head explode….

      • Anon:

Let me restate that. “…extraordinary. She is Mexican.”

you referring to good ole “Moon beam”??
the liberal hippies friend ?? pot smoker drug taker Moon Beam ??

      draft dodging sob look at his true past he never met a dumb un washed hippie he never failed to bed or make headlines with Barzaghi and his sixth spouse Aisha lived with Brown in the warehouse in Jack London Square;

or in this case a dumb unwashed hippie man and his what ever

jerry has never been any ones friend just another leach on an already over burdened system and you can bet he does not do the job for $ 1.00 a year like trump and the rest lives in a 1.8 million dollar home with his latest groupie and were joined in unholy bondage by good ole Diane feinstein the Homos friend

why any one still lives in Ca is beyond me it seems it collapsed a long time ago oh how the Californians pour over the borders into Oregon and Washington with their laws and Liberal way of doing things
look at those states and see how they have changed in the last 30 plus years

was a time when you could own a nice 2 bed room 2 bath home in Wa state for under 100K now any thing that’s standing is well north of 200 k

Idaho has been ruined by all the Snow bums and so has northern Nevada and Tahoe 98% of the homes up there are north of 250K

southern Nv is a shit hole done in by California’s welfare refugees. and the mechicans with no papers and no skills doing any job for under $7.00 per hr and the casinos are glad to have the cheap labor

all this brought too you by the democratic liberal plantation system

Trump can’t overturn State laws, only legislators from the State, State courts or Federal courts have that option.

And none of them are going to.

      • smokey says:

At least we’ll see a conservative SCOTUS this next year. Might have a reason to bring some California laws to the Supreme Court.

      • Plan twice, prep once says:

Trump can certainly task his Justice Department with law suites to overturn unconstitutional state gun control laws in the same manner that was used in the 60’s against segregation laws.

        • howdy doody says:

In the state of Florida, many towns enacted their own anti-gun laws. Fortunately, the state legislature enacted a law that made any local law void, that went against state law gun policy. This ended any stupid local laws.
The federal courts could over rule any of these stupid gun control laws that have been enacted in cali if they wanted. More and more states are joining the “constitutional carry” laws, making it much easier to carry across state lines.

    • apache54 says:

it is NOT the color of a person that makes them good or bad, it is there THINKING that makes them worthless air thieves or not! I know MANY GOOD people of MANY ethinic types, I also KNOW MANY worthless white scumbags and allot of them our own POLITICIANS, Gov. Brown for one!! one thing that MADE our country great was freedom of religion, BUT what most people don’t know is the one supposedly religion we CANNOT ALLOW into the states is Islam (it is a cult) they are the only religion dedicated to KILL any NON Islam person> and that is why they cannot be allowed to be here for our own safety. there are some good ones, and that is because they don’t follow there own religion to a tee, BUT i gurantee if push comes to shove and your not one of them they will turn on you!!

    • Warchild Dammit! says:

In answer to can Trump stop this, yes,to a degree.he can fight for and get appointed to supreme court a pro bill of rights judge, then start bringing in cases and just end the brady bill/68 gun contol bills or just go after the 1934 bill and end all the bullshit.

State laws will not trample over constitutional rights of citizens with a good supreme court.

That said,to those trapped behind enemy lines due to family/jobs ect. best of luck, send a few pow’s that are friends some 80% paper weights, let em get to work underground along with 3D printers ect.

      • Zeus says:

Maybe Jerry Brown wants California Unarmed and Ripe for an Invasion from Japan or China. They will say, America is Ripe for an Attack, there is a unarmed Gay Libtard behind every Blade of Grass in Commiefornia.

      • joethecuckleburr says:

But don’t let those “friends” who left Kali only because of high taxes then turn their newly adopted state into the communist pig sty they just left, i.e. Colorado.

    • Majik8ball says:

Can Trump Stop Jerry Brown? Can anyone in law enforcement stop Jerry Brown?
Jerry Brown aides and abets and gives safe harbor to criminals. Jerry Brown and every other mayor and city officials of sanctuary cities are accomplices and accessories to every crime committed by the illegals they aid and abet. Jerry Browns nothing more than a criminal and should be treated as such. The driver of the get away car is sought after just as much as the robber, Manson never actually murdered anyone. Why are laws good for some but not others. Obviously Jerry Brown and sanctuary city leaders are above the laws. Trump said he was going to enforce the laws, then he needs to arrest those aiding and abetting and giving safe harbor to criminals, the accessories and accomplices to every crime committed by illegals.
Jerry “more the merrier”Brown is also an advocate for the invasion of America, these invaders do not stay in CA, hell, Brown even gives them drivers licenses. Governors and leaders in other states need to put on the big boy pants and go after Brown.

    • 10mm says:

No. National Reprocity abides to carry rights by each states laws. Especially carry rights. Also one must abide by states magazine capacity laws. Trump can broad struck it,however, it’s going to and fro that makes it complicated.

      • Plan twice, prep once says:

State laws banning large capacity magazines are illegal when used against citizens traversing those states going from an to locations where they are illegal, while transporting them per federal law.

Having Trump Justice dept may step in for a few cases that mat render state laws illegal.

    • mfitzy111 says:

I think we should give Cali back to mexico, as long they understand it’s a deal that they keep all those liberals living there too. we don’t want them moving anywhere else and making life worse, build that wall, and have cali on the other side of it…

SGT. DALE, or anyone involved in police/detective work, I have a question. If I could prove that 2 people stole and used a debit cards info and account info and conspired together and made a purchase can I sue 1: the bank employee who stole the account info and probably added overdraft protection to make it work ad 2: A UPS driver who scanned the package as delivered to the desk of a mailroom that had been closed for 1.5 hours and forged the delivery signature. Can I sue the bank and ups? Thanks…

      • Genius says:

I already went through the bank fraud dept of the bank and the morons did a shitty job and closed it and said I was responsible. It took me 2 hours of calls to get the facts and proof of this. They told me to file a police report and I am going to. Geeezus a 5 year old could have done a better investigation than the bank morons. The driver is 100% busted and I will discover how so much was charged to an account with NO overdaft protection and how the delivery address was the same as the billing address (mailroom).

      • Sgt. Dale says:

        “G”
Take your INFO to your local Law enforcement agency. Get a case started. The Sates attorney will be your attorney until the problem is solved or the case is closed. Then after the case is closed then get a Civil Attorney to Sue. You can use the info from the States Attorney in your Civil case.

Now when you ask about suing. That is a Civil matter you need to talk to an attorney.

The Bank Employee maybe. the UPS driver only if he was involved with the theft.

I have a friend going though something similar to this right now. I told him the same thing.

        Good Luck.

        Sgt.

        • Genius says:

Thanks Sarge. The turds involved probably aint got shit to sue for , I want to sue the bank and ups. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

        • Majik8ball says:

          Sgt. Dale Sir.
What is an accomplice and accessory to a crime? What is aiding and abetting criminal activity?
Does Jerry Brown and every other Governor, Mayor and city official in sanctuary States and cities not aiding and abetting criminal activity?
Are they not accomplices and accessories to every crime by the illegals they’re aiding and abetting?
IMHO, if you pay taxes in sanctuary states and cities you’re funding blatant lawlessness and criminals!

      • SilverLodge says:

Genius, just FYI, suing a person is completely outside the realm of the criminal arena. Suing is entirely in the “civil” area of the matter. Additionally, if one sues and then collects something from the criminal, you risk comprising the criminal investigation due to having reached a civil compromise in the matter. I’d hold off on suing if you plan on pursuing the matter criminally. Often at the end of a successful criminal investigation resulting in a conviction, the judge will order restitution be paid by the defendant. Hope this helps.

        • Genius says:

Thanks but I don’t care that much about sueing the individuals (they will be criminally prosecuted) I want satisfaction from the bank that has done nothing but jerk me around and has criminal employees. I’m sure UPS has gps on the trucks and it should show that the driver was no where near the said delivery place of the closed for over an hour mailroom that was supposedly left on the desk of a locked building at the time scanned and the owner NEVER signs for anything in the recipients name anyway. The owner is 100% on my side and an old friend and is going to help me all the way. The driver is busted and now I am making the case that an insider from the bank is a co conspirator. The charge was for over 800 bux and I had at most 200 in my account. I wasn’t aware of it for a while because I bought stuff after the overdraft (maybe 6 things) and they all went through. HOW is that possible? An insider put overdraft protection on my account (I have never had) and the ups driver KNEW the billing address was a maildrop. UPS has electronic signature record and that will also prove to be forgery. So to sum it up… conspiracy to commit fraud, fraud, bank fraud, forgery, and whatever else applies.

          • Genius says:

Most likely a husband/wife or girlfriend team. Bank employee and ups driver pair. Should be an easy case even for the mayberry detectives. It was a bunch of kids clothes that were purchased so all you have to do is find out what age and sex the clothes were for and what kids the suspects have and walla. That’s just 1 point of proof there are many others too.

            • Genius says:

Any other detectives want to chime in? All points/advice welcome! Test your sleuthing skills!

              • Warchild Dammit1 says:

Chime in,OK,you asked!Genius, you can sue ANYBODY,whether you are successful or not is a whole nother story.Sorry you got burned but this kind of BS gives me a giggle in the holiday spirit!

I am thinking a “lawn ornament” might be a appropriate response to said bank!

              • The Deplorable Braveheart says:

Genius, let me offer some advice since I was once a defendant in a lawsuit. In my civil case, my lawyer screwed my case royally. I lost and still had to pay the bastard his legal fees in addition to paying the ape that sued me. It took me 3 years of working 2 jobs to pay off that shit. Be extremely careful in shopping for a lawyer. There are allegedly, and I say this tongue in cheek, some good lawyers out there along with shysters. I had a shyster. To this day I won’t talk to any lawyer about anything. The experience left that kind of taste in my mouth. Good luck cause you’ll need all you can get.

              • Genius:

There are a statute of limitations on crimes (except murder) and civil law suits. For civil suits the time to file is usually within one year.

                Good Luck…

                Sorry you had this problem.

                __

        • smokey says:

Once you initiate the criminal case, take a record of the police report to your bank and renew your attempt to get the charge rescinded.

I expect you’ll have better luck with the management once a bank employee name is on a police report.

Then look at your civil action. Small Claims court may be good for the restitution from the defendants. If you want more than that, get an attorney.

      • Zeus says:

The first is a criminal case, Yes, call the police and file a report, it should be classified as Identity Theft. Larger bank crimes call the FBI. Once you have your report filed, then hire an Atty and sue for your claim. And btw/ thats why you never use your ATM card for anything but taking money out of your own bank ATM machine. Never use your deti card for purchases especially online. Use a credit card for purchase, because if it is hacked, the thieves are stealing Visa or MC’s money and not yours. If your debit card is hacked they can drain your entire bank account balance and also cause NSF fee to accrue if you wrote check again the balance, you thought you had in the account. That’s why people with no credit can’t get credit cards with better protection and they get screwed when they use their ATM Debit cards for purchses. Cant fix stupid.

Second- Did you get your package? If Not, then File a claim with UPS, and try to get the employee fired. Report that the UPS employee forged the signature. Most likely if you got your package, you are beating a dead horse, complaining to anyone. Check to make sure upon delivery a signature was required. The employee did not follow UPS rules and should be beaten with stick, which you can do next time you see them. lol

        • Zeus says:

          G. In reading comments further down I see these 2 cases are part of one case. Hell yeah call the cops file a report and also get the FBI involved, The COPS won’t do shit for you, they are dumb and under staffed. However the FBI, surely will, and they can dig way deeper into this case with computer forensics to see how many more victims there were, besides just your case. The bank will not help you as all they care about I protecting themselves from you. You also need to immediately file a “NOTICE TO PRESERVE” electronic forensic evidence, to the Bank, so they don’t try to cover-up their employees misdeeds and your ability to sue by destroying computer hard drives etc. And this crosses various businesses, so yes it is a conspiracy to defraud though identity theft. Kick em in their teeth.

Not a good idea, withing two years they will outlaw all semi auto rifles, maybe pistols too, and you’ll have to turn them in.

Think you’ll just hide ’em? That paperwork and transfer registration you fill out tells them you have them and unless you can show a legal (papered and recorded) transfer of the weapon you’re not get away with that.

Just report them stolen in advance to keep them? OK, as long as you never, ever, ever get caught with them in your possession and are willing to have anyone you have hide them for you prosecuted alongside yourself if they get caught with them. (that means you won’t be using them for anything since it would show you had them and get you prosecuted and imprisoned or otherwise ruined)

California, you’re screwed, and it’s your own fault for letting it happen.

Everywhere else, don’t let this happen to you as well.

I was fortunate to work close enough to a bordering state that far more Second Amendment comparable and moved.

I grew up in California. I used to live right across the river from Compton. California has been ruined by liberals. I left their sorry asses after I voted for prop. 13 and survived Jerry Brown’s subsequent tyrant tantrum. Any stupid ass that complies with any CA gun laws deserves to get it in the butt. You are idiots. Your government is the biggest threat to your freedom. You should be killing it not helping it with (taxes). I suggest you do a county by county secession vote. I’d love to see LA, Riverside, Orange, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa cruz, Santa Clara, Alameda, Marin, and Sacramento counties leave America, forever.
If those counties were gone sanity would return to an otherwise normal state.

  14. Sgt. Dale says:

May Brown Burn in Hell with the rest of the Turds in Commifornia.

One day all of this will back fire and the Revolution will be on.

This also goes to show how people think. They didn’t already have the guns and believed it will never happen to them. Well guess what? THEY JUST GOT BIT IN THE ASS AND THEY KEEP PUTTING UP WITH THE BULL SHIT! Fight or Flight is what survival is all about and it looks like the choose FLIGHT!

    • Genius says:

Sarge, yes it will be on. I used to belong to the NRA but became very disappointed in their constant plea deals. I found GOA and was very happy with them. If you want a better dog to help guard your rights I recommend GOA . org I also used to go around at work trying to collect funds for judicial watch and GOA but the results were dismal. We have a small group but a good group and remote, I hope it’s enough…

      • The Deplorable Braveheart says:

Genius, yes GOA are very good. Also check out Jfpo.org and keepandbeararms.com. Very interesting sites. Screw the NRA. They’re nothing but sellouts.

      • Kevin2 says:

Larry Pratts GOA has no political muscle. They are useful in the courts. The NRA is the 800lb guerrilla. Their “accommodating” is getting the best deal that can be struck. The 1994 Clinton “assault Gun Ban’ is a prime example. We were eating it regardless what was to be done. The NRA had the foresight to put in a 10 year expiration requiring a vote a decade later. That gave the pragmatic “accommodating” NRA time to work the politics. A decade later the political climate changed and the law expired. That’s working the system. I seen the inside of the ILA in action in NJ. Its like the damn CIA as the driving motto was, The enemy of my enemy is my friend”. Look up , Hands Across NJ.

If it wasn’t for the NRA we would be reduced to flintlocks.

        • smokey says:

We’re certainly not going to have to accommodate anyone during the next four years. Look for some NRA lobbying on suppressors, national carry, pre-emption, and such things.

          Also a conservative Supreme Court.

  15. Lone wolverine says:

Watch a Mark Dice Video Too see how stupid Californians are.

    • Saw that. Now experiencing first hand how max screwed up some Californians are because they are moving here to Texas. A trio of them have landed where I work and they are all totally disgusting. One is heavily into getting in touch with her inner moonbeam through drumming while walking in circles, one spends his time crossing-dressing to experience his “feminine side” while a third lady eats the same rice/beans/garlic dish almost every single meal and described Thanksgiving as “the slaughter of the innocents” (referring to the turkeys). None of them own a gun. I asked one of the ladies what would they do if someone invaded her home. She said they could just do whatever they wanted and would not dream of fighting back even if it meant dying.

      These people are totally delusional.

  16. skeptic says:

    Calling Nailbanger;
Hoy shit, did you see the beautiful joists that they just blew up in that tannerite film? Looked to be actual 2by’s. Someone with half a brain could have built a home from what they wasted.

  17. Majik8ball says:

CA with its open borders and its leaders welcoming and encouraging an invasion of America, all while Americas at war. Violent, criminally convicted illegals released back onto California streets by the 10’s of thousands while its leaders are hell bent on disarming its citizens. The deranged minds of America hating democrat leaders. Know your enemy imbeciles. What come to California doesn’t stay in California!

  18. spirittoo says:

NEWSFLASH!!! Liberals DO NOT restrict rights!!! FASCISTS do! Stop calling them Liberals they are NOT!

  19. charlie2dogs says:

well americans voted for the traitors and let them take their rights away one by one, so suck it up, bend over and spread your legs.

  20. Harry says:

Why are they buying guns if they don’t have the balls to use the ones they have now? I thought that the second amendment was for that purpose, to stop this.

  21. Drake says:

There has never been a government that banned it’s own ARMED FORCES from “Keeping and Bearing” ARMS.

Find one government in the history of humanity that felt a need to document a “RIGHT” for it’s ARMED FORCES to possess ARMS.
Oppressive Governments are ALWAYS banning the People’S RIGHTS to arms.
The claim that the Founding Fathers wrote the 2nd Amendment to give Our ARMED FORCES a “right” to keep and carry ARMS is S-T-U-P-I-D.
The only reason for the Second Amendment is to clearly spell-out the GOD GIVEN RIGHT of INDIVIDUALS to keep & bear ARMS.
The only reason for the BILL(list) of RIGHTS was to codify INDIVIDUALS’ GOD GIVEN RIGHTS.
Has there ever been a government that was not chock full of it’s “rights” up to and including declaring itself to be the Lord God Almighty?! (Rome, Egypt, Israel, etc)
Does the 1st Amendment mean the GOVERNMENT is allowed to give speeches? Try shutting up any Politician. But THEY would LOVE to shut YOU up, hence the FIRST Amendment.
Anyone who tells you the 2nd Amendment applies to the Army or State Militia, is telling you they think you are STUPID.
There has NEVER been a government that felt it had to codify it’s army’s/soldier’s “RIGHT” to “Keep and BEAR ARMS” because there has NEVER been a government that refused to allow It’s own soldiers to KEEP and BEAR ARMS!
The Second Amendment was given to the People, like all the other rights in the Bill or Rights. This was confirmed by the SCOTUS in the DC vs Heller decision, where they stated that the “People” in the Second Amendment were the same “People” that are mentioned in the First and Fourth Amendment.
The 2nd Amendment clearly guarantees the “right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms”, and certainly not “the Militia”.
Why would “the Militia”, a type of army manned by citizen-soldiers as opposed to full-time “regulars”, need a constitutional amendment to guarantee they have the right “to keep and bear arms”?
Is there any specific statement anywhere in the Constitution that the army Congress is empowered to raise has the “right to keep and bear arms”?

    Of course not.

    That is assumed.

It is implicit in the nature of all kinds of armies —- be they militia or regulars, volunteer, conscripted, or mercenary — to be armed.
    They are all “armed forces”.
    They all “bear arms”.
    They all carry guns.
    That is what they do.
It certainly no more requires an amendment to the Constitution to state that “the Militia” has the RKBA , than a specific statement that the army Congress is empowered to raise may be manned by armed troops.

“The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals … it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government … it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen’s protection against the government.” Ayn Rand

  22. Southern Sage says:

Trump needs to step in and sign an executive order allowing all American citizens to purchase semi-autos, no matter where they live. California needs to be taught a hard lesson,

  23. Quatermain says:

Attention Californians! You can still buy all the long guns and ammo you want in Nevada, perfectly legal under federal law. If you’re nervous about taking it back into California, you should consider moving. There are no real border checks (other than for plants)…yet.

  24. swamp rat says:

I fear the liberal masses of people coming out of California into our state. They have voted socialist until their state is ruined, then they flee else where, still holding on to their liberal ways, trying to ruin that state too.

  25. Kypatriot says:

    This entire episode is Un-Constitutional.

  26. Ray m says:

I left california after living there for 40 years. its a cesspool of illegals and retarded liberals. moved to Montana. Most people here cringe when I say where I am from but I am a firm conservative that isnt going to turn the state into where i came from. Glad I left. Never going back

  27. takeover says:

I see people asking who can stop this? Trump? The courts? Nope, none of them, but you know who can? The PEOPLE. How does it happen? The second amendment. It’s called taking over and nope it’s not pretty, but it comes to freedom or tyranny.

  28. Stormtrooper says:

People confuse the Second Amendment with the powers of the sovereign states. The Second Amendment was adopted in the Constitution to prevent the Federal government, an agent of the sovereign states, from creating laws to restrict citizens from owning/using weapons. It has nothing to do with states regulating arms. At the time of adoption, the state governments would have never considered restricting gun ownership. However, ultimately, the states as the sovereigns have the power to restrict/control anything that their voters will let them get away with, including guns. The only choice for the unhappy citizen is to vote with their feet and move to another more friendly state. So, California can restrict gun ownership in any way that they choose. It comes down to either the voters or the 3 percenters to change that.

  29. wasntme says:

They pass unreasonable guns laws so law abiding gun owners move, creating the illusion they have to import workers to fill jobs. Then CA will have more democrats and can pass more anti-gun laws while milking the population for whatever money they might still have left.

  30. jrharen says:

People have forgotten who they are: The state of California presumes that a living man and a woman are a person, in Govn’t language that means a corporation! A dead entity cannot talk to a living man or woman only to another dead entity.
The Supreme Court ruled in Rodriguez vs Ray Donovan (US Secretary of Labor) 769 F2d 1344, 1348 (1985)
All codes, rules and regulations are applicable to the government authorities only, not human/Creators in accordance with God’s law, see why they want God out of the public. All codes, rules and regulations are unconstitutional and lacking in due process as applied to Sherwood T. Rodriguez.
The people of California need to sue the man or woman in the public office that has trespass on their unalienable rights. In a Court of Record under Common Law with a trial by Jury not a jury trial.
All states operate under the U.C.C. Uniform Commercial Code because they are Corporation “dead entities” the Dun & Bradstreet number for State of California #071549000.

The Uniform Commercial Code does recognize the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, because the UNITED STATES bankruptcy of 1933 know has the Banking Holiday. But you and I did not go bankrupt the Corporate UNITED STATES own by the Federal Reserve did.
Do you have stock in the Federal Reserve no than why are you paying for the so called national ?debt

    • Plan twice, prep once says:

The civil rights movement of the 60’s was predicated on the concept that states and their laws must comply with the US constitution and bill of rights.

Segregation laws were systematically removed via federal law suites.

Should Trump chose to go this route, established racist law cases from the days of segregation will make Winning a no brainer.

These unconstitutional state gun laws are in fact discriminatory.

  31. There is sure to be a thriving black market in guns in California soon. Markets beat politicians…

  32. Diane D says:

It is succession time; time to divorce all blue states and blue cities.
