Is Another War Brewing In The Middle East? Saudi Arabia Gives 24 Hour Ultimatum To Qatar

What’s going down in the Middle East right now is the perfect example of a black swan event. Out of nowhere, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Egypt, Yemen, and the Maldives cut off diplomatic relations with the nation of Qatar several days ago. Saudi Arabia and the UAE (who are leading the charge against Qatar) have since placed a naval blockade on Qatar, and have cut air and land links with the nation as well.

Keep in mind that Qatar is a fairly small nation, surrounded by larger neighbors that are basically threatening to completely cut them off from the rest of the world if they don’t comply with their demands, which are to cut ties with Iran, as well as radical organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. The blockade is so serious, that the residents of Qatar have been stripping grocery stores bare in anticipation of food shortages.

And on top of that, Saudi Arabia has just issued an ultimatum to Qatar, with conditions that the nation must comply with over the next 24 hours if they want diplomatic relations to normalize. According to a journalist with Al-Jazeera, the demands include the following:

  1. Immediate severance of diplomatic relations with Iran,
  2. Expulsion of all members of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas from Qatar,
  3. Freezing all bank accounts of Hamas members and refraining from any deal with them,
  4. Expulsion of all Muslim Brotherhood members from Qatar,
  5. Expulsion of anti-[P]GCC elements,
  6. Ending support for ‘terrorist organisations’,
  7. Stopping interference in Egyptian affairs,
  8. Ceasing the broadcast of the Al Jazeera news channel,
  9. Apologising to all [Persian] Gulf governments for ‘abuses’ by Al Jazeera,
  10. Pledging that it (Qatar) will not carry out any actions that contradict the policies of the [P]GCC and adhering to its charter.

Of course, contrary to what the media is saying on the matter, the current tensions with Qatar have nothing to do with their associations with terror groups. For instance, aside from oil, Saudi Arabia’s biggest export is radical Islam and terrorism. They are what ISIS would be if that terror group defeated government forces in Iraq and Syria. Saudi Arabia isn’t doing this because Qatar is backing terror groups, they’re doing this because Qatar is backing terror groups that are aligned with their rivals in Tehran.

In any case, Saudi Arabia hasn’t said what the consequences would be if Qatar doesn’t abide by these demands, but those consequences could be dire.

Analyst Giorgio Cafiero of Gulf State Analytics, a geopolitical risk consultancy based in Washington, DC, told Al Jazeera: “I think the Kuwaitis as well as Omanis … fear the prospects of these tensions escalating in ways which could undermine the interest of all six members of the GCC.

“There are many analysts who believe that a potential break-up of the GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council] has to be considered right now.”

He added that if tension escalates, some have warned of a “military confrontation”.

“If these countries fail to resolve their issues and such tensions reaches new heights, we have to be very open to the possibility of these six Arab countries no longer being able to unite under the banner of one council,” said Cafiero.

So basically, over the course of three days, Qatar’s oil rich neighbors went from begrudgingly accepting their foreign policy decisions and living in peace with them, to placing a blockade on all of their sovereign borders. It’s been three days, and now the potential for war between the Gulf oil states and Qatar has drastically increased.

Is it any wonder why the Middle East has such a terrible reputation for instability? Even one of their wealthiest and most stable nations is staring down the barrel of a gun.

    Sandapes fighting other sandapes. LMAO!

    • John Stiner says:

mmmmm. Qatar hosts the forward headquarters of United States Central Command, headquarters of United States Air Forces Central Command, No. 83 Expeditionary Air Group RAF, and the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing of the USAF.

Does this mean Saudi Arabia will be against the US, because apparently the US sees Qatar as an ally.

      • K9BASE says:

        REMEMBER panama….

      • CrackSumSkulls says:

100% Correct Stiner. Also the terms of the demands sound like they were written by Israel. The biggest Terror organization in the middle east with their proxy army called ISIS and US Military. Central Command another bucket of Fraud and their back offices at MacDill AFB in Tampa FL. That place needs to be nuked off the map as well. Massive Fraud and control command. I believe thats where the CIA imports all the narcotics from Afghanistan into the US at Macdill AFB.

    • Sgt. Dale says:

I was think the same thing. They can’t go a week with out fighting with some body.

      • Braveheart1776 says:

Sarge, that’s true. Let them kill each other all they want but they better not harm any of our people. I won’t have any problem taking out a sandape.

  2. Plan twice, prep once says:

What a difference a day makes.

From peace and security, to the verge of war.

Those not prepped are likely the first to die.

BBC showed yesterday That factions had sandbagged entire neighborhoods preparing for house to house fighting and had even hung sheets over streets, so they could move around undetected from the air.

  4. Kevin2 says:

If I remember correctly both Qatar and Saudi Arabia have competing natural gas pipelines planned through Syria if Assad can be removed from power. The US doesn’t care if its either as long as it cuts into Russian gas sales as both nations will trade exclusively in US dollars. I assume that Saudi and Qatar are under the impression that the removal of Assad is a forgone conclusion and will occur reasonably soon so the spoils are already being fought over by the victors. This riff might weaken the front against Assad.

    • Michigan Mom says:

I see now, thank you, Kevin.9

    • Braveheart1776 says:

Kevin2, I don’t think this dispute will last for long. All of the Gulf states have too much in common and too much at stake to fight each other. As far as ousting Assad, that’s not on the table anymore. All of the anti-Assad groups are losing the war thanks to increased Russian and Iranian aid to Assad. I just don’t see Putin turning his back on Assad. And now the Iranians have a land bridge through Iraq and Syria to the Meditterranean Sea. Plus they’re almost in a position to threaten Israel. Qatar will see the light and submit to the Saudis. They’re committing suicide if they don’t.

      • Justice says:

Braveheart, what if Iran comes to Qatar’s rescue, as it were. Isn’t Iran’s response a wildcard in this situation?

Couldn’t this mean war between Iran and Saudi Arabia?

But it should show people how quickly a crises can develop. Qatar’s citizens are left scrambling, but may also be in a fight for their lives.

  5. Wanna see what Qatar has done and who is involved. Qatar is the nation who put the 150 million dollar assassination hit on Trump!!!!

  6. Michigan Mom says:

Ahhhh! I see now, Kevin. Thank you.

  7. nameless says:

I think the Saudi Air Force is better prepared than it’s ground forces. Saudi pilots get quite
a bit of training here with USAF personnel. The ground forces will be depending on the
Saudi Air Force to make up for its lack of nutsack.

  8. Heartless says:

Qatar will never do #’s 8 & 0. Ever. So? Seems the nation is going to be up for grabs. My question or concern is that the Al Udeid Air Base is one (if not ‘the’) largest US base in the region. This could go ….. big real quick.

  9. Anticommie says:

Looks like Trumpy is the most powerful Bilderberg

    • Justice says:

It looks like Saudi Arabia follows orders, China and Russia not so much. If their is to be a One World Government it looks like China and Russia are NOT playing ball. That could be a problem?

  10. Houston/Cypress/Katy/Shtf says:

They are trying to start WW3. We will not make it to 2020 without a major war on the US continent, period.

  11. watching and waiting says:

I have read that some believe Iran and The Saudi’s will fight and The Saudi’s lose and not only lose, but be humiliated, lose territory that will include oil fields.

Not sure about The Muslim sites they monitor.

    • durangokidd says:

SA has a population of about 33 million; Iran 81 million. Obviously Iran can field a bigger army but their air force cannot match US Jets in Saudi hands.

Any cross the Gulf incursion would trigger US firepower against Iran; which would trigger an attack on Israel; which would trigger, and give Israel the excuse they need to use nuclear weapons against Iran, Hamas, and Syria.

I expect SA to absorb Qatar faster than a cop can suck down a fresh Krispy Kreme glaze donut and a cup of coffee !!! 🙂

  12. Brian says:

The United States has been attacking Syrian Government positions even when Russians are present. Russia has been helping in attacks on Syrian Rebel positions even if Americans are nearby. For all intents and purposes, the US and Russia are playing chicken in Syria. We are closer to war than most people know!

    • durangokidd says:

NO we are not. Russia and the US are taking turns targeting the respective Muslim opposition in an acceptable form of genocide.

No US / Russia war over Syria. 🙂

  13. Asshat says:

We have had it so good we don’t even realize it. When people have to live under the real possibility of being killed they will appreciate heat hot water hot food a warm bed. It’s sad they have to starve have dirty water and sleep in a bombed out building freezing to death. ive already started sleeping in the corner of the basement on the cement with just a thin jacket stopped shaving and showering. Smelling kind of funky but don’t give a shit. Building up immunity to filth by subjecting myself to it. Got rid of all luxuries. Living on as little calories as possible. Ya I’m fucking hungry enough to kill someone for crumbs. Live hard now. Never hear anyone say that they are preparing themself this way. The attitude is why suffer now when I don’t have to. Bad way to think about it. You have to find your absolute bottom the lowest you can live and still function making smart decisions. it would be stupid to take a risk and end up dead if you didn’t need to. Forcing yourself to live like a vagrant when you have the $ not to takes guts when you can have instant gratification. when shtf hits it will be life as usual just a little different. Better than a total shock to the system panicking emotional breakdowns infections when the filth gets into your system. Quit playing the keep up with joneses game. it won’t cost you a dime to do this unlike other preps. You don’t wanna be a one legged man at an ass kicking contest. Do something hard for once. Run with a 50lb ruck on or a gasmask for a couple miles. Go out in the cold with just a thin shirt on so the cold reaches your core and convince yourself it’s warm your mind is tricking you. Don’t go into this being a pussy.

  14. Traitor Hator says:

I was wondering. Would it be possible for our military to blitz into N Korea grab it’s gold and get out . With 3 aircraft carrier groups , bombers, EMP bombs , none of their computerized weapons and comunications would work? Iraqs gold ,Libyas gold ,Syrias gold, Qatars gold. We could keep kicking the can?

  15. Blade says:

Looks to me that they need to get the price of oil and perhaps natural gas higher. A limited planned war would be the way to do it. Interesting how this happened right after Trumps trip abroad.

  16. ISIS attacked Iran’s Parliament.

    What’s up with that ???

    • Justice says:

That’s serious business is what that is.

B, I decided that I am going to start to set up a BOL further inland and away from DC. I guess the easiest/cheapest way to do that is to take your extra equipment and supplies and relocate them to your BOL.

The World is heating up and “something wicked this way comes!”

  17. John WV says:

It’s time to bring all our troops home.
Stop arming and funding terrorist around the world.
Like the hippies use to say: Give peace a chance!

  18. Concerned-Citizen! says:

It just shows again that those in the Mid East are nothing but 7th Century sand-apes and they all should be nuked from the face of the Earth and be done with all of this trash.

  19. marty says:

I guess we will be getting more rapefugees from the Gulf states soon .
