Health Insurance to be Enforced at Gunpoint

In addition to death panels and revocation of personal choice in healthcare, a new twist in the healthcare bill has come to light. Inquiring minds are reading Flout the mandate penalty? Face the IRS:

Americans who fail to pay the penalty for not buying insurance would face legal action from the Internal Revenue Service, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation.

The remarks Thursday from the committee’s chief of staff, Thomas Barthold, seems to further weaken President Barack Obama’s contention last week that the individual mandate penalty, which could go as high as $1,900, is not a tax increase.

Under questioning from Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.), Barthold said the IRS would “take you to court and undertake normal collection proceedings.”

What does this mean for individuals who refuse to pay the $1900 per year government healthcare fee tax? Here’s an excerpt from a hand written note from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold that may shed some light on the seriousness of this provision of the healthcare bill:

Sec 7203 of the Code provides that if there is a willful failure to file, pay, maintain appropriate records and the like that the taxpayer may be charged with a misdemeanor with a penalty of up to $25,000 and not more than one year in jail.

Yikes! So if you refuse government healthcare and don’t pay your mandated tax, you are pretty much going to prison.

Most short-sighted supporters of the bill might ask, “how is this forcing you to accept health insurance at gunpoint.” We probably don’t need to explain this to our regular readers, but for the sake of those without the ability to think outside the box, we’ll make it as clear as possible.

See, when a government mandates a law, especially tax law, they have the right to arrest you for failure to pay. As you know, the people coming to arrest you will not be your average pencil pushers, they’ll be dressed in police uniforms, have a warrant and likely be strapped with guns. What happens if you resist and fail to surrender yourself? You guessed it! You would then be subdued at gunpoint, handcuffed, charged, judged and sent to the big house.

All because you chose not to accept a madated, unconstitutional provision in the healthcare bill.

If you haven’t realized it already, this is how most of the laws in our country are enforced. We have the largest prison population per capita in the entire world, with most sitting in prison for victim-less crimes. Flash alert to Koolaid drinking Americans: This is not about enforcing the law – this is about one thing and one thing only – REVENUE FOR THE STATE.
